Google Chrome Warns of Visiting allinfree.net for Every Website

Q: Google Chrome Warns of Visiting allinfree.net for Every Website

Hi everyone.

I received a link to a video entitled "Russian Guy touching 1000 Breasts". While the link opened, I closed the window but was watching a YouTube video at the same time. A pop-up came up for installing a YouTube and Flash update for the YouTube player, and I didn't think twice and clicked it assuming it was legitimate. Now I highly doubt it was. Every time I visit any site with Google Chrome the same warning message is displayed concerning the site allinfree.net, no matter what site has been visited. I have attached a sample screenshot as google_warning.jpg.

I searched online and found someone complaining of the same problem: https://community.mcafee.com/message/223287 However, detailed steps were not provided as to how to solve the problem.

I ran scans using Avira Free Antivirus, McAffee Stinger, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, and SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition to try and clean my computer, however the message was still coming up in Chrome.

I came across this site and was following instructions for posting concerning a Malware infection. I was able to get a DDS report however in the middle of scanning using GMER, my computer froze, crashed, and re-started. Now the computer runs extremely slowly, and every time I try to get a GMER log the same events happen. I have attached my DDS log (Attach.txt) and a HijackThis! log (hijackthis_log.txt) for support.

Please let me know how to proceed. Thank you for your time, help, and input .

(not sure if i put this in the correct section sorry)

Im with BT Broadband at the moment, earlier today there was a new update, im guessing for the router, so i downloaded it.

Since then i have been getting the above warning on certain sites i try to enter which i have been on before with no problems (for instance, the BBC website).

Is this just coincidence or did the update do this?
... and if so, does anyone know how i got about un-installing the update?

Thanks.

An earlier answer said From
the Chrome Menu select "Pin this page to the Start Screen". I cannot find this option in Chrome, and what is meant by the Chrome Menu anyway? Is it the icon consisting of three horizontal bars at the top right of the screen? If so, then it certainly
doesn't have this option.

A:How do I pin a website to my start screen using google chrome?

I have now come to the conclusion that Chrome does not have the facility to pin a website to the taskbar. I will have to use IE 11 for this!

Hi, I am running Windows 8, and I have WEBROOT as an anti-Virus program. I usually use Google Chrome for all my needs, but for the last 4 weeks or so every single time I log on I have to reload because the page either does not load fully, or little squares show up in the middle of the screen. I have Yahoo as my default and 8 times out of 10, when I first sign on, I have to reload the page, and then every website after that the same thing happens. When I use IE10, this doesn't happen, and when I do use IE my WebRoot doesn't show-up in the upper right hand corner of the page as being active like it does on GC. I have done everything except restore to a previous version, which I truly hope I don't have to do. I've tried adjusting my WebRoot Firewalls but that doesn't seem to do anything, I have cleared all history, cache, everything! And still nothing works. Can someone please help me with this issue? Thank you very much.

I'm usually a lot smarter than this.. but I read someones post in a forum about how a website has set up a popular game, San Andreas Multiplayer, in a frame that remotes a machine so you can play in the browser. The game is a bit more involved than a typical browser game, so of course i figured it would be unplayable at best, but curiosity got the best of me and I visited the site.I immediately figured out that it was just a video of someone logging into a server, and i was most likely being infected while watching.. I checked around and saw some minimal info about the site including this post:http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=538035The site I visited was: www, sampfreeonline,tk .. which points to: samponlinefree, orq,pl(dots were replaced with commas so no one clicks by accident)Can anyone verify if this is indeed a malicious site.. I'm thinking I have a keylogger installed now and its just waiting for me to join a server... ..or even worse..Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

Hi!

Today, while  visiting a website with IE, I suddenly got a new window which contained a message from "NSA+ FBI" ( or smthg like that), telling me that I am at risk of being thrown to jail for the next 5-7 years unless I pay a fine of about 150$ either with my credit card or by buying some sort of prepaid phone cards. It was imposible for me to close the window or to use CTRL+ ALT+DEL so as to close it from Task Manager. So, I shut down the computer from the start menu.

After restarting it, the internet works much slower.

Since then, I ran a quick scan with my Security Essentials (updated right before starting the scan), which lasted for about 70 minutes (!!!) but found nothing . I have also performed a scan using Microsoft's Safety Scanner, which returned the result that there are no unwanted programs on my computer.

But if no unwanted software is on my computer, then how come did I got that screen asking me for money on behalf of CIA/ FBI.. etc... ?????

Thank you

Hello,

So I've always wondered if you can get a virus/malware just by visiting a website?

I always thought this was a No, because I believe a user is only infected when he/she opens up that malware/virus FILE, once you open it up and install it then you are infected.

I know there are drive by downloads, but your anti-virus or anti-malware program should detect the file and automatically delete it.

Malware/virus can't infect your computer unless you open the file, right?

A:can you get a virus/malware just by visiting a website?

Hi NEMS Yes, it's entirely possible to get infected by simply visiting a website. Most commonly via what we call "Exploit Kits". Right now, EK are used to deliver a lot of dangerous malware (such as banking trojans and Cryptoware) to computers worldwide. So using a standard Antivirus and Antimalware won't cut it. Using a program that protects your web browser against such threats, like Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit will. but your anti-virus or anti-malware program should detect the file and automatically delete it.This is assuming that the file pushed on your system is already known to your Antivirus or Antimalware (in its database). If it's not, it won't do anything. And we all know that no products have a 100% detection ratio.Edit: For more information on Exploit Kits and how they work, see the article below.Tools of the Trade: Exploit Kits

I think this is the website where the malware came from, but I'm not sure. I've included the URL here, in case it helps someone figure out what my problem is.

I didn't click on any of the advertisements or install any new programs or download any files. But within 5 minutes of my visiting the page, popups began to rapidly show up. I usually use FireFox, but they were coming from Internet Explorer. They were coming very fast- maybe 20 within as many seconds, so I unplugged my wireless router and forcibly disconnected my computer from the internet.

I used another computer to look up tutorials on how to get rid of a malware problem, and downloaded recommended programs. I also edited the registry myself and deleted registry keys that were obviously associated with the malware that hadn't been there before (named things like "vvxxasjdfdsf.exe" and such) but this malware is obviously beyond my limited expertise, because it is still there.

My computer hasn't been connected to the internet since. (I'm using a different computer to post here.)

When the computer's on, Internet Explorer attempts to connect to the internet every few minutes. For the first few minutes where I didn't realize I had a problem, I'm pretty sure it connected to more malware sites and downloaded more crap onto my computer. Spybot seems to have gotten almost everything, except for the very stubborn root problem, which Spybot says is "Smitfraud.C"

I'm not en... Read more

Greetings and Welcome to The Forums!!My name is Gringo and I'll be glad to help you with your computer problems. I have put together somethings for you to keep in mind while I am helping you to make things go easier and faster for both of usPlease do not run any tools unless instructed to do so.
We ask you to run different tools in a specific order to ensure the malware is completely removed from your machine, and running any additional tools may detect false positives, interfere with our tools, or cause unforeseen damage or system instability. Please do not attach logs or use code boxes, just copy and paste the text.
Due to the high volume of logs we receive it helps to receive everything in the same format, and code boxes make the logs very difficult to read. Also, attachments require us to download and open the reports when it is easier to just read the reports in your post. Please read every post completely before doing anything.
Pay special attention to the NOTE: lines, these entries identify an individual issue or important step in the cleanup process. Please provide feedback about your experience as we go.

Hi all,

First post bc I can't find a good answer to this question anywhere.

I play guitar and as such, I frequently visit www.ultimate-guitar.com. For the past few months, whenever I visit the site, there is a good chance of my computer spontaneously just shutting down. It doesn't happen every time, but it happens a good portion of the time that I go to the site, and it only ever happens on that site.

I'm currently running 64-bit Vista Home Premium. This happens on both Chrome and Firefox.

Hi,

I opened a link I probably shouldn't have on Facebook and ever since Avast! has been giving me the 'Suspicious item has been detected' dialog every thirty seconds or so.

Infection Details:
URL:          http://r1---sn-8pgbpohxqp5-ac5e.gvt1.com/crx/blobs/QgAAAC6..(more stuff but it's hidden)
Infection:   Win32:Evo-gen [Susp]
Process:   C:\Windows\System32\svchost.exe

Now, the URL seems telling. The domain gvt1.com is owned by Google, and a CRX is a Chrome extension, so I suspect it's trying to download a malicious Chrome extension onto my PC. And it would appear it attempts to download it every 30 seconds, but Avast! keeps blocking it. However, I have no idea what to do to stop it from doing this and indeed whether or not my PC is already pwned.

I've run a full MBAM scan and thus far found no hint of any malware in memory nor in the file system, but I'm still scared my PC's been pwned and I don't know whether I should shut it down or run rkill or what.

Thank you for your help.

edit: forgot to mention, I run Windows 7.

Hello Everybody.Let me start off by wishing all the members (specially the kind people who run this show) a MERRY X'MAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!Lately, I have been having problems of chrome redirecting a link that I click. It happens randomly and the frequency seems of this happening has been increasing. It doesn't happen all the time but quiet frequently. Anyway, I've been getting a BSOD every time I try to click on a website specially Domino online pizza https://internetorder.dominos.com.au/eStore/en/Home only on Chrome but I don't crash when I use Mozilla. So can someone help to see what's causing the crash; is it my memory? or some other drivers. Thanks.

Hello, My name is Kati and Im new the the forums. Just got Windows 7 not to long ago . Anyways, I was wondering if someone can help with me a problem I have everytime I delete my browsing history to my pin websites on my taskbar. I recently had IE9 Beta and I didn't like it. I couldn't remove my browsing history from the address bar so I uninstalled IE9 and installed Google Chrome latest release (Not Beta). Everything works fine up untill I went to remove my browsing history today and clicked on one of my pin website on my taskbar and seen the little "Icon" was blank. It does this to all my website pinned icons aside from my Google Chrome icon. The only way to fix it is to open the pin website let it load for a second and close it. Then when I open the website again the Icon is back to normal. If I delete my history and DONT click on any of the pin website everything looks to be okay. Its only when I open it for the FIRST time after deleting my History. I was wondering if there is anything I can do to fix this. Its kinda annoying

Oh yeah, Here is a Screen Shot.

Dear awesome powers, facing a number of problems with laptop atm. i will began by describing the symptoms, followed by previous solutions tried. Appreciate any provision of assistance provided.

I mainly use chrome or firefox on my vista system. Over the last few week i've had to reboot my computer after every use as it slows down significantly after a few hours of usage, While surfing the internet, the search bar redirects me back to google or displays a website unavailable for a couple of instances before working fine again. Lastly, box ads pops up on the bottom right of the screen every few hrs.

For solutions garnered over the internet, i've tried the latest versions of tdsskiller.exe, Malwarebytes, AVG, Karpersky. All the above have been attempted to no avail.

Defogger have been used to disable emulation before i proceed. I have attached the ark and attach text files and the Dns file is as per below:

The Google Chrome Internet browser has just advanced to version 37.0.2062.120 and packs a few minor features, a Flash update, and some bug fixes.

Interestingly enough, the Google Chrome devs didn't move the version number to 38, as everyone was expecting. The reason for this decision might have something to do with the latest security fixes. It's possible that the developers chose not to wait until the 38.x stable branch was ready and pushed another update in the stable branch instead.

With Mozilla Firefox, I frequent various reputable websites for news and usually it will have a video that I want to watch. Seems like within the past month, video ads that are located on side of the page that I NEVER CLICK ON OR HOVER MY CURSER over, will start playing at the same time. I have to pause my news story to scroll up and or down to find the ad that is playing. Sometime there is not a pause/stop button on those ads.  Would a pop-up blocker work or something else.

A:Visiting website to view news story and video ads also play at same time!

The Adblock Plus Extension should take care of the video ads. To get rid of all ads open Extensions under Tools >  Add-ons > Extensions. Go to adblock options , click the Filter Preferences button and uncheck the "allow some non-intrusive Advertising" box.  Also for Filter preferences make sure Easylist and Adblock Warning Removal list are checked. Click the add filter subscrption button and add the EasyPrivacy List, making sure you check it's box to activate it.

Most likely causes:
The website contains exploits that can launch a malicious code on your computer
Suspicious network activity detected
There might be an active spyware running on your computer

What you can try:

Ok, I'm at wit's end. So I gotta ask for help.
I use IE7 browser and I'm getting the Sysfader error
whenever I visit Google Video, and of course the
browser goes down. This has only started happening,
I guess past six weeks or so. The Sysfader error does not
happen on any other video site, even youTube, just
Google Videos.

I've done all the troubleshooting and searched
everywhere for a solution. So I know the following
info.

- It's got nothing to do with nVidia card thingy.
I got all ATI stuff and a REAL-TEK sound card.

-Under my System Performance in Control Panel,
all the scrolling and fade effects are turned off
(not checked) And I thought that's what the Sysfader
thing was, but that's not it, still happening.

-I've disabled all the IE7 Add-ons except "cookies"
and the "Adobe Shockwave flash Active-x" cause the
videos won't play without it, but all other add-ons
have been disabled to see if that helped.
And restarted the browser and rebooted etc.

So, that's all I could find. And I'm stuck.

Okay, I just made it do it....I went
to Google Video, did a search on "Jordan Maxwell",
videos come up, I click on one, it tries to open up
in a separate window, then the error box pops up:

Hello.I've suddenly started receiving "Address Blocked" messages from ESET over the last 24hours. My computer has also suffered from four or five blue screens of death. I suspected it was Malware. I have Malwarebytes installed (which found nothing after searching) but also Super Anti-Spyware which produces a BSOD as soon as I try to execute it. The errors only popup when searching in Google, no other pages.I'm using a PC, Windows 7 Ultimate. I first ran TFC, rebooted, then Malwarebytes, but it found nothing. Please advise on what to do next? Many thanks,Daniel

Links to websites, either from emails or from shortcuts pinned to my PC desktop's task-bar have suddenly been directed to Google Chromes search page. There are four icons pinned to the task-bar that work;Windows Media Player, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Google Earth and Windows Live Mail all of the rest, such as Facebook, Ancerstry.com YouTube and others now default to the Google Chrome search page.

I have run numerous anti-virus scans all of which have not picked up anything sinister.

The OS is Windows 7 Home Premium. I am not a IT tecky but should be able to follow straight forward instruction, if anyone has any ideas on this problem.

Basically, the title says it all - my browser window crashes intermittantly - the commonality I've noticed between the sites it crashes on is that they have Google ads. Hello,

I'm trying to repair my parents computer. They were getting Trojan horse warning messages and crashing to blue screens. So far I have updated the BIOS and uninstalled all the browser addons and questionable apps I found on there PC. Since updating the BIOS it hasn't crashed to blue screen. However I'm getting a lot of lywqyjla.exe processes that say they belong to Google Chrome. I uninstalled Google Chrome and they are still there. Each of them is using varying amounts of memory and the CPU usage keeps spiking. I have run malware bytes and adw cleaner, each of them said they found and removed threats but these processes keep showing up.

I've tried multiple anti-everything programs from Super Anti-Spyware, Malwarebytes, ComboFix, Spybot S&D, and various online scans that have found nothing, or found something but never fully cleaned my system. For a week or two, Google was being redirected to various ad sites, but after my system was "cleaned" everything was fine. Now today, anything remotely related to Google won't load at all. I've tried to manually remove the TDSS google-redirecting virus, but I have none of the files that supposedly come along with the virus.

An install of Google Crhome browser is apparantly recording cookies while the Google Chrome browser itself is not being used;  the cookies seem to be of webpages and sites that other people in this location visit through another browser.  This makes me thing that the Google Chrome browser sneaks information from the user of other browsers on the computer, and this makes me wonder, what more is being done with this set of cookies lifted from the other browser?

This cannot be normal; is it?

Every day, I come to the particular computer with google chrome on it, open history, see the cookies listed, delete them, and only use the browser in Incognito mode.  No cookies recorded during any of my usage sessions.  Later, after other people who never use Chrome use the computer, go online (with Internet Explorer), makes their website visits, and then finish; when I come back to use the computer again and go online in incognito mode on Chrome, ... there again are more cookies listed, and mostly from sites that I did not visit.

This just seems like it should not be happening.  Tell me about it?

I have many "Google Chrome" processes running (jthzgxbastyz.exe *32), but I don’t have Chrome installed on this computer. I have tried to run Malwarebytes and Malwarebytes anti-root, MacAfee root kit, and several others. Anything I try to open, never actually opens. I ran DDS, but it doesn’t look like its accessing the file system. I am an administrator on this computer, but when I attempt to download anything now from Internet Explorer, I get a Security Alert " Your current security settings do not allow this file to be downloaded." I reset IE and it allows me to download the programs, but I still can’t run them. Hope this helps! Seems like I have a full blown infestation. L

Whenever I open Google Chrome the first time after I finish booting my computer, it hangs for three seconds, during that time I see a wild amount of solid flashing on my hard-drive light indicator.

Upon looking on my task manager, I see 4 Chrome processes running, one of which seems to be causing a'lot of activity on one of the hard-drives. After a said few seconds the process disappears leaving only three processes and no hard-drive activity.

Is there anyway of stopping this kind of strange hard-drive activity when 'm opening chrome? I'm afraid the repeat thrashing might cause my hard-drive to wear out prematurely.

If anyone can help, please respond.

Thank you in advance.

For the past few days when I open up Google Chrome I get a white page with a yellow ribbon at the top that says "Chrome didn't shut down correctly" and then an option to "restore" which only brings me to a new tab page.
I have looked for solutions and have tried going into appdata and changing my "Default" folder into "Default_old" then closing down Chrome and opening it again but that doesn't work (and I don't get another "Default" folder as the instructions says I should). I have tried disabling my extensions (of which pretty much all of them are ad blockers) and apps. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome but so far nothing has worked. Am I just not doing these things correctly? Is there another way I can stop this? Because I would really love to open up Chrome and have my homepages there.

Thanks!

My computer is running Windows 7.

About a week ago, I started getting messages saying "Google Chrome has crashed" when Google Chrome was not open. When I opened task manager, many Google Chrome processes under the same name were running. To try to fix the problem, I uninstalled Google Chrome, but the processes are still running.

Right now there are about 15 processes named "dlxyoesklw.exe *32" with the description "Google Chrome" in the task manager. The number of running processes changed frequently, and there are sometimes more than 30 running, all using various amounts of memory. When I press "End Process," more processes just appear.

If I press "Open File Location," it now takes me to C:\Users\Owner\AppData\LocalLow\EmieBrowserModeList\igsqvescqy\mwqvrxfk
If I try to delete the .exe file, it says "The action can't be completed because the file is open in Google Chrome. Close the file and try again" but of course Google Chrome is uninstalled.

Twice I have tried to delete the whole folder by restarting the computer and quickly deleting it before the processes launched. This did not work, as the processes still appeared after the file was deleted, and the folder relocated to a new one under \AppData\LocalLow\
The folder used to be in \AppData\LocalLow\EmieSiteList\ before it relocated.

I have G Data TotalSecurity 2014 installed but it did not find anything.

This behavior is very suspicious. What should I... Read more

When I search in IE I have no problems searching, but I prefer to use Chrome over IE (My wife likes IE). When I search useing Chrome I some times get a rediect to another website.

I wrote down the last one that happend:
I was searching for "ammo" and hit enter. Chrome listed normal search results. I clicked on the first result which was "Cheaper Than Dirt". The page sent me to a blank page "click.livesearchnow.com" followed by some greyed out letters, but before I could write them down it redirected me to "63.209.69.107/search/web/ammo/6679_a10/46251-3482/v5"
once I was on this site, I could not use the back botton to go back. But if I click the back button on the "click.livesearchnow.com" page it would send me back to the search result page and if I click the same link it would send me to the correct website.

This happens at random as in sometimes I get the right site and sometimes I get the "click.livesearchnow.com" and the website I get redirected to after the "click.livesearchnow.com" is not always the same.
I have ran MBAM and have found nothing and I use Microsoft Security Essentials and it does not find anything either.

This started happening yesterday...
My website (n7as.com) and other sites sits on a few tabs in Chrome. Everything is fine except that instead of my website, I see a Yahoo search page. This is only happening on my computer. My wife's computer displays n7as.com correctly. I did the ipconfig /resetdns thing and that did not resolve my problem.

When this started yesterday, after less than an hour everything went back to normal. I checked Chrome settings and I am not using a proxy server.

Any ideas?

Hi.  Brand new computer, 4 days old.  Still loading it up with stuff from my old laptop.  Removed Norton with the removal tool and installed Eset Smart Security.  Very little else installed yet.

I need to go to the Australian retailer Coles reasonably often.  Chrome is my preferred browser.  When I try to get to the website I get:-

www.coles.com.au unexpectedly closed the connection.

Try:
Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
Running Windows Network Diagnostics

Connection is fine, can get anything else I want.  Firewall is not on as I'm running Eset.  Diagnostics is as useless as ever and says it can't determine the problem as usual.

HOWEVER, if I use the Microsoft Edge browser, no problem - straight to Coles.
Anyone hazard a guess as to why this is the case?
thanks

Hello,

My computer appears to have some sort of virus. I am getting popups and annoying redirects to sites like "flurrysearch.com" when I use IE, and the Google Chrome process terminates as soon as I attempt to begin it.

HijackThis had an error when it attempted to get write privileges to my hosts file, and I think the virus changed my hosts file in some way. I looked at the file itself and it appeared to have added attempts to block sites like Google on it. I was unable to edit the file and remove these suspect lines.

Anyway, attached is my HijackThis log.

Please help me with this problem as soon as you can, as resolving this issue is sort of important.

Thanks,
Caleb Wysor.

Hi,I was recently infected with the Windows Repair bug and fixed (maybe its still there) it via one of the posts on the sites. So I'm thinking I might have had a couple of other infections that were dormant for a while or Malwarebytes or Symantec never noticed. After fixing that, I noticed Google Chrome stopped working. When I started googling in Firefox and IE i noticed the page would redirect. And then an the "Internet Explorer Script Error" with the URL pointing to apparent spam urls "http;//celebrity-gossip.net/ashley-tisdale..." as an example. So I updated and ran Malwarebytes AM, Symantec & Microsoft Defender to see what they would. Symantec found an bloodhound virus in an archived drive. And i cleaned whatever Malwarebytes found, forgot now since its been a 4 days.I've tried the TDDSkiller.exe and that wouldnt launch. I tried renaming it too, but nothing.I found another thread and tried cleaning with SuperAntiSpyware and Hitman.I don't remember the correct order I've ran these, but followed according to the threads, including safed mode, internet off, etc...Anyways, any help is appreciated. here is the log:.DDS (Ver_11-03-05.01) - NTFSx86 Run by Mikael at 21:35:05.37 on Thu 04/07/2011Internet Explorer: 7.0.5730.13 BrowserJavaVersion: 1.6.0_24Microsoft Windows XP Professional 5.1.2600.3.1252.1.1033.18.2047.902 [GMT -7:00].AV: Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition *Enabled/Updated* {FB06448E-52B8-493A-90F3-E43226D3305C}.===========... Hi! I am a heavy google search user who frequently uses google to: define ___, calculate equations etc.

But recently my google search results is changed to:

The top bar still appears perfectly normal when I am not in the search result page:

If it is related, bing has problem as well - it goes black screen:

The characteristics are:
One page itself:
- Words appear bigger
- It seems like I've log out but I am actually still logged in
- Google tips and tricks such as define, tilt etc all are not working
- Clicking "more" and "search tools" refresh the page and does nothing.
Others:
- In other places such as email, youtube, the functionality remains completely normal and unaffected
- I do not think the problem is related to the external internet settings as other devices are able to access these functions/websites without any problem.
- I have no problem accessing any other webpages.

Solutions tried and still not working:
- Completely reset google chrome's setting
- Reinstalling google chrome
- Resetting internet explorer setting
- Resetting computer's ip setting through cmd- netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
- Full scan with avast antivirus.

Any other ideas please? Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated as these tips and tricks are a truly useful function for me.

I too have the exact same problem. i have tried hard for a month+ on 100s of sites with no avail. this probably is some super smart form of malware/virus which changes your IE's lan proxy settings to "127.0.0.1:8080.proxy.pac", this seems to affect chome and IE while firefox looks ok. the only "visible" difference is with the google main page as you described you'll also notice that at the bottom of the page, the number of page results are limited to 10 and no more, you just cant see more results than that. I couldnt find any any solid fix to this (not even complete reformat) The only temporary solution(till next reboot) seems to be to go to internet options in IE - connections tab - deselect that proxy setting and select automatically detect settings though i personally use hola better internet extension which seems to fix the problem till its kept on. I want this dreaded issue to get some attention so that am actual solution is found :/

A few days ago, I returned to Chrome as my main browser. It's a little slower than Firefox, but I can handle that. Except there's one news website (Fox) that I access frequently that loads very slowly. The top part of the page will come up but then waits for about 10 seconds before completing, and the same thing happens when I click on a news story. So far. I've cleared my cache, cookies, browsing history. Also disabled all extensions (especially the AdBlock). None of these things helped. I checked with my internet security; no problem there. Then I tried Chrome's incognito mode. The website loaded normally. Hmmm... I went back and enabled the AdBlock in incognito mode. That website still loaded normally. (I'm playing detective here) So I go back to normal mode and try to load Fox. After it loads completely, I click on Inspect Element. I find this:

A:Solved: slow website loading in chrome

Rusty: What version are you using? If it's Canary or 35 beta, I tried those and had problems with some sites, so switched back to the last production release, 33.

If you're using 33, have you tried resetting it (Settings, Show advanced settings, [Reset browser settings] button? I realize you've already done some of what a reset does (e.g., disabling extensions), but my guess is it also resets other hidden things. You can then enable one extension, close Chrome, reopen it and try the site. Repeat that with each extension until the problem surfaces again after enabling the last extension.

Also, make sure the "Allow incognito" checkbox is unchecked where it can be unchecked (can't uncheck it with AdBlock).

When trying to follow a link on the sprint.com or sprintpcs.com in Chrome v.38 the web page simply reloads instead of going to linked page. I did Crtl +F5, cleared cookies & cache, and flushed DNS. All other websites work fine just sprint websites do not. I contacted sprint they said their site is working. I have Win 8.1 64 bit Update 1, Chrome v. 38.

A:sprint website links not working in Chrome v. 38

Have you gotten a Java prompt when on Sprint site?

In forums I occasionally want to post a link to a particular page in a website built with frames pages. Back when I used Firefox, I could right click on the page and choose something like "Open frame in new tab". Then I could copy the URL and post it so someone could click straight to that page. But with chrome I haven't figured out how to do that. Anyone have an idea if it can be done.

For example, to buy model airplane engine fuel, I go to sigmfg.com. Then I have to navigate about 5 clicks to their page for fuel. But the URL in the address bar never changes as I navigate through the pages to get where I want to go. If I want to show someone on a forum what kind of fuel to buy, I have to give them detailed instructions as to what links in the left nav column to click to get there. It's a pain in the axx. But it's the one thing that was simple with Firefox, and I believe Opera did it too. I'm a chrome convert now.

Thanks,
Rusty

I have recently been unable to open a website I redularly use. My main browser is Firefox, but the site no longer works in Firefox. It doesnt work in IE8 or Google chrome either. The only site that does open the site is Opera.

If I turn off Jvascript in Firefox, the site works fine, but as soon as i turn Javascript back on, the site stops working.

Anyone know how/why this is happening?

Thanks.

Wife complained suddenly cannot login to Shutterfly from desktop PC. When clicking "Login" button, PC cannot follow link. Several other links on Shutterfly also not working. IE times out with "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" error. (99% of internet surfing has no problems.)
Here is where it gets interesting.....
-Same ethernet cable plugged into laptop works 100%, desktop fails same links 100%
-tried chrome and mozilla browsers, same links fail.
-deleted all cookies, temp internet files, etc. no change
-ran Malwarebytes, CCleaner, you name it, I ran it. No problems found.
-only had the one user account (admin) so I added guest account with default settings and IT WORKS!
All links work no problem.
-what could be in my admin user profile that is screwing up internet links? How do you fix it?
Thanks for your time.

Hello Everyone, my Chrome browser has just been hijacked by an Adware virus.

First thing is that i wanna let you know that I didn't click on any malicious *.exe files i've downloaded on the internet. I always scan them on virustotal.com and they were all clean. Except that today, i accidentally clicked this one ad thinking i was safe (because i have script safe and adblock enabled on chrome). And after that, my chrome acted suspicious by redirecting me to random malicious sites.

And now sometimes when I click on any part of a page, it will redirect me to the ReImage website and will prompt me to download reimage.exe. It happens frequently but i think it doesn't happen when i have scriptsafe enabled.

My operating system is windows 8.1.
My browser is google chrome.

The sticky told me to run dds. But, I can't run DDS because of compatibility mode.
"DDS is not meant to run on compatibility mode, the program will now exit".

A:Chrome browser sometimes redirects me to ReImage Website

I have already reset this laptop it to factory default (fully clean the drive), but surprisingly the adware still persists.

Hello! This is the same issue as seen here and I believe it is due to the use of KMSpico to activate windows 10 pro. Basically, what happens when I startup my laptop is that Chrome (default browser) starts up and opens a page (http://bestprosoft.com/category/download-latest-best-professional-software-2016/) which looks like this (screenshot of Google security warning page). I have run a full scan via Kaspersky Total Security several times and have found no malware. I think it's worth mentioning that I uninstalled KMSpico

Before I even say anything, I have tried to reinstall Chrome 3 times and the problem still stands.

So my problem is that when I try to login to my Google account on Google Chrome, the web page goes white and Chrome does not log in. The steps I took are as follows:

It starts on the regular Chrome login screen. (see attached picture #1)
I insert my password and press the 'Sign In' button.
It loads to a white screen. No loading, it is always finished every time I try. (see attached picture #2)

I don't know if this is relevant, but the app launcher also suffers from this malfunction and will not display any of my apps (see attached picture #3). There are no errors when starting Chrome, or opening the page. The page is just white for no reason. Nothing has ever gone wrong with Chrome (surprising, I know) and I really love it. It is fast and it looks sleek. It IS a RAM hog, but apparently my 2 GB ram laptop can handle it, so I'm happy. My opinions aside, I hope you can help me fix this.

Hey there. I've recent been having problems with Firefox/Google Chrome where my searches are being redirected to random sites when I click on the results. In addition the spellcheck function doesn't work if this searches are mistyped. I've tried several different programs with no success in fixing the matter. Among them are Dr. Web Cure it. As well as Malwarebytes which caused my computer to crash both times I tried using when it reached a file called zipfldr.dll

I've looked around at a couple sites but as nothing seems to be working I thought I'd give this a try. Any help would be apperciated, and it only seems to be affecting Firefox, and Chrome. Oh, and in addition to the redirect it's highlighting random phrases within the webpage with something called Clicksor, as well as the redirects going through something called 123bounce.

Hello to all,
I have installed google chrome and I really like it. However it has one major drawback. It remembers what I have typed in google search bar.
How can I disable this?
I have uncheck every option in "under the hood" settings, but that is not it.
These search items disappear only when I do clear browsing data. But on the second use when I want to type something in google search item filed or just click on it everything that I searched in the previous session (if not cleared explicitly) is shown in form of drop down list.
Internet explorer and firefox allowed me to turn this auto completion whenI wanted.
Is it really that difficult in chrome?

Thanks

A:Google chrome remembers what I typed in google search engine

I think you can only block the search history in Chrome by using private mode.

Wrench icon > New Incognito Window.

This will prevent any searches, downloads and websites appearing in your history, and will delete all cookies when you close the window.

I am helping my neighbor with her new laptop, moving pictures, files, etc. from her old one to her new one. Everything looks good, except for one thing: I set Google as her home page, and it works fine, except that the Google logo does not appear; instead,
there is the small box with an "x" in it.
I have tried the following: Tools-> Internet Options -> Advanced -> Reset....to no avail. I have also tried the above pathway, then checking to assure that the "Show Pictures" option is checked in "Multimedia," also to no avail.
I have also gone to Tools -> Compatibility View Settings -> then added 'Google.com' -> Add" ...also to no avail. So now I'm out of ideas. Other websites, such as Amazon or whatever show up fine, with pictures and all. Any ideas? Help would be
much appreciated.
She is running IE 11.0 on a HP 15 laptop, with Windows 8.1 64-bit OS.

So, i recently upgraded from Internet Explorer to Google Chrome after a batch of virus problems that i FINALLY got removed from my computer and at the suggestion of many other people.

It worked fine for a week or two, then i noticed randomly it would decide that a website/page i was on either had too many cookies to load i'd get an "oh snap" this page isn't working because of "blah" error, (it had a little file folder with a angry face on it). usually closing the browser then opening it back up would fix the problem. Several times i'd have to go delete all the temp files/cookies etc for it to work right again.

Well tonight it started doing something even more weird, it wouldn't load anything.
Every site i tried to type up there in the http:// bar it would just forever be "searching" for the link then half of the time it would just say sorry "the page can not be displayed"

I tried going to google (my home page) typing in the site for instance "tech guys" and search, it would find a page full of websites, but when i clicked on the link (to any of the options) it would either a: pretend it was looking and just refresh the exact same search results page i was on, or be go into a forever loading process which usually resulted in it saying "the page can not be displayed." I used my phone to look up why this might be happening and people mentioned "disabling" the HTTP of which i had no id... Read more

Hello and let me go ahead and say thank you for your time! I don't know how much of the following is actually important, but I would rather be too detailed than not detailed enough; please forgive me.This happened two days ago, on November 25th. I browse with Google Chrome, my OS is Windows 7, and I use Avast! as my antivirus program. I was using StumbleUpon and it took me to an article on cracked.com, a site I've enjoyed many times with no problems. I was immediately redirected to some advertising site, you know the kind--lots of banners and text ads. I also got a few pop-ups. Before I could even react, the computer shut itself down. I booted it back up, and attempted to start Chrome again. The window where the web page would normally be was completely blank, there was no url in the url bar, and the loading circle that normally appears beside the tabs was not there. I don't think it froze or anything, my mouse icon stayed the same and the window didn't white out, but nothing worked. I tried to close it the regular way and couldn't, so I ended it through task manager. I tried to load it again, this time disabling the options to load the tabs I had open last session. I got the same results and again had to shut it down the same way. First I rebooted my computer, and tried to load up Chrome. Same results, so I shut it down with task manager. Next, I tried uninstalling. I went to the control panel, right-clicked Chrome on the list, and told it to remo... Read more

my malware seems to prevent posting as well. If i get this to post at ALL I will be back in with updated logs including the dds log and another gmer attempthi. I tried not to post. By reading your guides and uses your tools I attempted to resolve the issue. Looks like I need your help. I'm sorry to use your time, I really appreciate the help! I have backed up my registry with ERUNT. I created a new restore point. I ran avg and tfc (reboot included) I used GooredFix. I used TDSSKiller. At this point I was bluescreened to death, even in safe mode. I opted to "boot w/ last good configuration" I repeated above adding in OTL and GMER, using TDSSKiller last... same thing, death even in safe mode. At this point I have rebooted, run ERUNT, created new restore point, run TFC, run MBAM (nothing found), run AVG (nothing detected), run OTL. at this point GMER causes system failure. I'm adding the logs belowMy most recent actions: retried tdsskiller. it attempted to reboot, reboot failed. manual reboot attempted, failed. manual reboot into safe mode failed. manual reboot to las good configuration. ran a mcafee removal tool, created a new sys restore point, ran ERUNT, ran TFC w/ reboot. after reboot, new system restore point (redundant, but this point has mcafee completely cleared), reran ERUNT, ran mbam (newest log is the one I'll include here) then ran OTL and saved log (no extras log thi... Greetings and Welcome to The Forums!!My name is Gringo and I'll be glad to help you with your malware problems.I have put together somethings for you to keep in mind while I am helping you to make things go easier and faster for both of usPlease do not run any tools unless instructed to do so.

Whenever I perform a Google search and click on a link I'm redirected to ad sites. Sometimes the address bar will popup with one and then will redirect again to a different ad site. I haven't noticed any pattern in the redirection or to any specific sites. Obviously I have no idea how to fix it. I've tried reinstalling the browsers and running anti-spyware: Spybot, Malwarebytes, Spydoctor - though I'm too cheap to actually pay for the program, restarting the computer. It hasn't gone away. Hi, tried to solve this on my own for several days with not much success.

Running Windows XP SP3.

The problem started with Google Chrome, it stopped working one evening. The browser is stuck on an infinite loading loop but works when the "--no-sandbox" argument is added to the command line. Internet explorer worked fine. I did some googling on the problem and apparently it's either some anti-virus or a virus.

Switched to Opera browser. Got infected with ave.exe "xp total security". Ran Super Anti-Spyware/Malware Bytes/AVG 9 to remove. Seemed to be removed but I'm still getting google search redirects in Opera.

Downloaded and ran TDSSKiller. In safe mode, it detects nothing. In standard mode it detects a problem with Atapi.sys. The message is something like.

"Problems in memory 1/0/0
"Problems in files 1/0/1"

However, after every reboot, it's the same message.

Downloaded Gmer today and tried to run, in standard mode Gmer would crash with a BSOD, the BSOD flashed quickly so I'm unable to see what the exception was. Currently I'm running Gmer in safe mode.

Could use some help.

Thanks.

But after that, how do i get to go to www.google.com.us?

Hello,

I am currently having issues with a potential virus on my computer that can spread though the local area network and also occurs on my android device or I am having some network issues. Now I have two windows 7 computers, a windows 8 computer, and an android device. Recently when I use the browsers to go to google.com I get the errors I have attached below.

At first I thought it had sometime to do with using multiple gmail devices on my machine or the new modem installed but I do not think so and I think I might of had this issue before. The way I would normally solve the problem is by either clearing the cache and restarting the computer both which usually worked but now this problem is very frequent and is causing major issues for me.

I thought that there might be a hack with the host file which I have modified before because I did a little bit of web programming on a virtual device on one of my machines and what I found startled me. It seems that I had the localhost 127.0.0.1 three times and I am almost certain I did not do this.
