Malwarebytes Runtime Error '372'

Q: Malwarebytes Runtime Error '372'

Getting the following error upon completion of install:
Run-time error '372':
Failed to load control 'vbalGrid' from vbalsgrid6.ocx.  Your version of vbalsgrid6.ocx may be outdated.  Make sure you are using the version of the control that was provided with your application.

I'm pretty sure my machine is deeply infected with malware or something, as I had to boot to Safe Mode and run ComboFix just to get it to load in normal mode.  I'm installing v1.70 of mbam and have Vista 64bit.   I deal with a lot of these infections on a daily basis, but I just can't seem to figure this one out.

There have been quite a few WebSearches found and at least 1 virus.  I've already ran ComboFix and Eset Online Scanner.  It appears everything has been removed, but I still cannot install Malwarebytes and update...

Any ideas?

Please let me know how to proceed.
Thanks

I recently had the Win 7 Security 2012 virus on my computer and I used your directions to clean my computer. I thought that the computer was clean but I think there may still be something going on because when I boot up I get a runtime 5 error for malwarebytes. I saw some posts on here about the error but the reponses were very specific. The computer is running Windows 7. I am able to run a scan with malwarebytes. Please let me know what information you need. Thanks.

When I try to open MBAM, I get this error. Then when I tried to uninstall from both Control Panel and Program files, I could not uninstall. Control Panel route recommends to install a new version and Program files route refuses to have the file deleted citing a component of it is being used in another program. And when I tried to install a new version, I could save the download but could not open(all of a sudden Windows is asking what program to use to open). I did system restore, to no avail. I did sfc /scannow, also to no avail.

Very inexperienced in fixes and repairs. I rely on programs to work.
Windows XP
Nortons internet security
Malwarebytes (just downloaded 2 days ago)
CC cleaner
Just got the computer back 2 days ago after contracting some kind of trojan. Was reformated.

I loged on this morning, opened outlook, opened firefox-to facebook.

A malwarebytes window flashed up, closing all programs
.
It was the quarintine box, saying that it had found 2 seperate trojan...something sign something.

I tried to highlight and delete the 2 entries. Wouldn't do anything.

X it out and turned off the computer tried to bring it back in safe mode. Husband tried 12 times to get safe mode.
Tapping F9 would only bring it to some re-boot screen.

Had to msconfig to get to safe mode.

Tried to run malwarebytes in safemode, got the same runtime error code 50003

Use windows remove program to remove malwarebytes to (in my mind) get rid of corrupt program.

Doing a search found this site and used it to download Malewarebytes

in this process also downloaded rkillls from here, it found one thing

Then Installed maLWAREBYTES, tried to run it and still got run time error 50003

Help? Be gentle. I don't even understand how to copy log files to show you.

Thank you,
Glenna

Hello Everyone...
I found my problem in the Malwarebytes Forum Section here but it will not let me sign in,no matter how many times I 've tried ,so I thought I would try it here,I had to ask additional question anyway because their response seems to apply to the FREE version of MBAM....
I have Windows7 OS & have been using MBAM Premium for quite a while now, without a glitch.......I clicked on to check it as I do everyday or so and the permissions pop-up appeared as usual ,I approved & nothing happened.......Then after several times,I noticed it was no longer in my start up programs in WinPatrol & absent from the list of programs in Secunia PSI.....I noticed I needed to allow my automatic updates to start, I did them & then Secunia said I needed to manually update  Adobe Flash Player,it would not update ......Finally,since Adobe Flash Player always seems to be a problem anyway,I uninstalled it....then all my updates were in order.
I tried several times to re-install MBAM & I kept getting the runtime error message,,,,,I uninstalled MBAM & tried again, same thing.......I ran the Microsoft troubleshoot & it said I had update problems & recommended a systems restore....I did that & it said programs that may be affected were MBAM & Adobe Flash Player,,,,,,I did the restore,,,,no difference  & I cannot install MBAM.......I don't even know how anyway b... A:External exeption E0607363.....Runtime Error MalwareBytes

Hello newbleeping:
I'm guessing you probably meant to type E06D7363 in your title. No worries.
Please follow the instructions in the locked/pinned topic: Internal error: Expression error 'Runtime Error' / External exception E06D7363.

BTW - If you perform a MBAM Clean Removal Process 2.x using the "Free" version download, you merely need to activate MBAM2 with your license ID, and Key and MBAM2 immediately becomes a "Premium" version again.

Did you begin the registration process on the Malwarebytes forum, and did you complete the registration acknowledgement phase via email? These two forums use similar forum software, from IP.Board, but the forums are not linked together with common membership rights.

What do I need in order to fix this problem? This pop-up message appears when I patched my game

A:Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error" error message

According to the error message the application (the patch you installed) isn't working right and for you to contact the folks who made the patch. I'm guessing that would be the support team for Audition Dance Battle or perhaps the support folks for all of e-games.com.ph

::E-Games - Audition Dance Battle::

E-Games Portal

Let them know exactly what the error message says, the specific ID number for the patch you installed, specific info about your computer (make, model, version of Windows you're using, amount of RAM, CPU, etc) so they can figure out what's wrong. In the meantime, you could try uninstalling the patch while waiting for a response. Sorry I can't be more help.

Hello Tech Guys! I came this site because I was so skillfully helped about four years ago dealing with another windows issue. The site looks great.

I am not computer illiterate, but advanced I am not either. I installed Microsoft Office 2007and Microsoft Desktop Search yesterday. I didn't like Desktop Search and uninstalled it. I also changed some start up configurations with msconfig. This morning when restarting my computer an error message came up:

___________________________________________________________________

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error
Program c:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccSvcHst.exe

R6025

Pure Virtual Function Call

___________________________________________________________________
I have ran norton and it works fine. Once I click OK on the error and the Norton box on the toolbar disappears. Then I click on the icon and it comes back up. I don't know if this is a problem or not.

I have run a full scan, windoc, and a couple other programs to rid the registry files. I ran RegCure and ParetoLogic. Maybe I am making a mountain out of a molehill, but it does run a little slower at start up and always gives that error message.

Also when I look at Windows Task Manager, the svchost.exe (system) sometimes is running at 58,000K to 27,000K. Is that right?

Let me know what you think and what I should do. I want to thank you in advance for just being such a great tool in our internet world. Taylor

I tried playing it on windows media player but it still has that scratchy audio and glitchy picture, I closed the player before the program would stop. I need help on this.

Upon restarting, I am getting this prompt and I don't know if it is from IE7 or MS Windows.

"MS Visual C++ Runtime Library

This application has requeste the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

The other similar message I got was this:

"Runtime Error R6034

"An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly"

Please could someone help? Pretty please?

I have Windows Vista Premium Home Edition 32 bit and IE7. I have Eset Smart Security Suite (Nod32) for security. This is a home PC. I have Fios and a router if that info. is needed.

These sound daunting to say the least and I would appreciate it if someone could point me in the correct direction. I'm new here and do not know how to navigate around. Thanks

Hello dottie5917

I apologise about the wait

Ok now i have seen this issue a couple of times,

1. Update your drivers
2. Uninstall Eset Smart Security Suite
3. Reboot and then download and run Auto Runs

4. Select the Boot Execute tab and check that there is no phantom start-up process
5. If there is a phantom program or something that relates to the error message then end the process.
6. reboot and if the error is gone reinstall Eset Smart Security Suite

Hello, I hope someone can help.

I have been using Cucusoft YouTube Mate for a long time and suddenly today I get this message:

I'm not very computer smart and I don't understand why this has suddenly happened and what I can do to fix it.

I would appreciate any help.

Welcome to Seven Forums MissTottenham. Can you post the complete, exact error code? The generic "this application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way" is unfortunately very common. If you can post a screenshot of the error, even better.

I have Windows XP SP3 on my notebook.
Two similar threads have been solved before. However, my case is much more weird because the message appears right after I start my computer and also before a user logs in.

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Please contact the application support team for more information.

The problem is that there is no specific application target.

I reinstalled the Runtime components of Visual C++ Libraries, but still to no avail.
The message appears now and then, evev after I close the first appearance. I couldn't discern any pattern.

Hi, I've searched endlessly on the forums here, microsoft support, and any other technical support forum Google could direct me to and still have not found a solution. I'm not much of a computer guru, but hopefully i can explain my problem enough for you to help me. If i need to show any logs then please tell me how to and i'd be more than happy to help you help me.
On to my problem.

While playing 1701 A.D. (it happens most often with this game, but with other games also) after anywhere from half hour to an hour my game locks up (i can still use the mouse and easily ctrl-alt-kill the program) and this message is displayed:
I have vista on an Hp laptop DV9000 series laptop, my computer is more than strong enough to handle this game. There is also no chance it's over heating. Ive tried right clicking on the exe file and changing compatibility, it didn't make a difference. i downloaded new drivers but that might not have worked properly, i have to install them from hp and it never installs right. The problem existed before i tried to download a new driver and still exist. I also scanned my computer with Trend micro Anti Virus and spyware and have found no possible causes. If there is anything you need me to do please let me know. I appreciate your help.

This is an error in Internet Explorer. Have you installed any plugins or anything new tith Inetrnet Explorer? Itr seems it may be currupt somehow. You should try searching on your XP cd to find Iexplorer.exe and replacing the defective Iexplorer. It's located in C:\WINDOWS\Program Files\Internet Explorer. This should fix it.

Hello everyone

I keep getting this error message, when I try to download Adobe Reader 8 from Adobe's website. The message reads as follows : Microsoft Visual C ++ Runtime Library Runtime Error! Program: C:\Program Files\Interent Explorer\iexplore.exe This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.

I do not know what this is or what is causing it. But right before this message appears, I get a message asking about a proxy? I have no Idea what a proxy is. So I click no for the proxy. and that is when the error message occurs. As far as I know of I do not need a proxy to download any programs. Could this be causing the error message?

This happens when I try to run internet explorer. Firefox works fine. This error started after I installed limewire. Bad, Bad boy. It's now unistalled forever. I believe everything is now cleaned up I use Norton AV & PCTools spyware doctor, however I can't get around this error message. Seems like a C++ bug/virus is trying to or has attached itself to iexplore.exe.

A:Need fix for Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error

Hi,

Mostly, this kinds of error can be caused by two factors:

1.Runtime components of Visual C++ Libraries are missing.
2.Software problem.

If the issue is caused by #1, you can reinstall the Runtime components of Visual C++ Libraries to resolve the problem.

Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86)
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=9B2DA534-3E03-4391-8A4D-074B9F2BC1BF&displaylang=en

If the issue still persists after installing above package, the issue should be a software problem. I suggest you take a clean boot check whether it is a software conflict issue. If not, it is still recommended to address the problem with manufacturer support. Thank you for your understanding.

For your convenience:

You could try doing a System Restore to a date prior to the Adobe install -- this might be a quick fix if something didn't get installed correctly.

http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/

---------------------------------------------------------------

It's likely to be an application error or conflict. Back in Win98 days installed games like Solitaire frequently had conflicts with installed antivirus programs or certain other apps.

Try testing this issue using "clean boot" techniques -- it seems like a good candidate for that if it happens predictably.

You might want to even start in Safe Mode first and see if it happens there -- if not, you've ruled out a problem with system files, including the game itself.
First, restart in Safe Mode if necessary -- (tap the f8 key promptly on startup and choose the Safe Mode option from the boot menu) or Normal mode

Then:

Run msconfig and select the "Services" tab. Check "Hide Microsoft Services" and then disable the rest. Also uncheck "load startup items" on the general page.
Now restart and test the issue at hand

If no problems, run msconfig and recheck half the disabled items on the Services tab. Test again. If the problem recurs, UNcheck half the items you just checked to narrow down the culprit.

If the problem didn't occur, check the other half, so all the Services are enabled -- proceed to do this on the startup tab as w... Read more

Hi there,

Got a problem which has developed over past few days. Tried to use HP image zone which came with HP 2350 series printer/scanner. Hadn't used it in a long time and when I tried to access it received 0xc0000135 error. Got in touch with HP. They advised uninstalling the software, downloading .net framework 1.1 and reinstalling. Even though I have .net 1.1, they said reinstall it. I have uninstalled the printer and tried to download .net framework 1.1 from Microsoft downloads site. When I try to install it I am getting the following message :

Visual C++ runtime library

Runtime error

Program C:\WINDOWS\System32\msiexec.exe

The application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way.

I thought it might be a windows installer problem so I downloaded Windows installer 3.1 with no problem.

Done all the usual scans for viruses, malware, spyware and found nothing.

Can anyone help ?

Cheers,

Aidanski

I am getting the same error message, often. I just saw on Microsoft that there is an update to the Windows Installer program. If the version number is 3.1.4000.2435, the computer has Windows Installer 3.1 (v2) which is the most current. I have two user accounts on my Windows Vista home basic. I installed Malwarebytes Anti-Malware early this afternoon. I did detect infected files when I ran it earlier.

A:runtime error 0/runtime error 440 automation

Just uninstall it and reinstall. If you're worried about infected files, try running another malware program first and see what it says. A Squared Free is another good one or Spybot. Do you have an Antivirus program installed as well? If so, run that and see if you can detect anything.

I had a very bizarre problem today. I downloaded about 50 .mpg files and put them into a folder on my desktop. I opened one of them, and it worked fine, but after that every time I even opened the folder that the files were in, only half of the thumbnails would appear and then it would tell me that I had a Visual C++ Runtime Error, from explorer.exe aborting. At the same time as this, windows would pop up a little message saying that my virtual memory was low. Later, it popped up a message saying that my Media Player needed to be reinstalled and that my Norton Antivirus needed to be reinstalled. Then it disabled my Norton Firewall and my Norton Antivirus. Lastly, I started getting error messages telling me that my soundcard needed to be configured to handle voice files, by enabling hardware acceleration. The only problem with that was that Windows would not let me access the advanced sound settings!

I am running Windows XP (all patches up to date), 256 MB Ram, 75 Gig HD - so I figured the "low" virtual memory had to be an error. I tried tripling the virual memory to 1GB and also tried letting Windows automatically set the virtual memory size, but neither of these fixed the problem. My immediate thought was that it was a virus or trojan, but Norton VirusScan, Swat-It Trojan Scanner, and System Suite VirusScan all failed to detect anything, and all of them have their definitions up to date.

I ran a Google search to see what other things I should try and none of the... Read more

I've been experiencing a problem ever since i decided to re-install Windows 7 just to have a new fresh copy installed instead of one I've had installed for a year now.

Before Re-installing windows i never experienced this problem.

(I now have Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit

Whenever i Try to open, Some programs, (not all show this error)
(CCleaner, Snowbird, Windows media player classic. etc.)
Keep op showing this Error and they wont start.

I've been trying to find a solution to this problem for 2 days straight but didnt find one,

-I tried. Cleaning my registry with 4 different programs. (the only solution people give on this topic on the internet but wont work for me)
-Reinstalled windows7 ultimate about 6 times,
Everytime i tried to find out what was causing it by rebooting everytime i installed something or changed something and check if everything still worked.

The first time it started happening after i installed Directx 11
tried to uninstall it but was kinda unpossible even with third party software.
then i reinstalled windows and just left directx out.
then when i installed a program i installed before direct x but everything worked fine after i installed it before.
but this time after that install (Windows media player classic) it caused the error,
and i tried to find out by reinstalling windows and ... Read more

First, uninstall all the programs that are giving you problems through Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Uninstall a program. Then, uninstall all Visual C++ Redistributables software through Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Uninstall a program.

Once you have finished uninstalling the software, install the following:Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable (x86)
Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable (x86)
Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable (x86)Then install their updates through Windows Update. Then install the software again that you had been having problems with.

Also, stop using registry cleaners to try to fix problems; they just create more problems:Many of us on the forums actually do not recommend automated optimization tools for Windows 7. Windows 7 does a much better job of handling its own optimization than its predecessors did. We especially do not recommend registry cleaning as an "optimization" step because automated registry cleaning causes more harm to the registry than it actually repairs.

In the future, if you need help optimizing Windows 7, please post a thread in Performance & Maintenance - Windows 7 Forums or follow the tutorial enclosed in that forum to Optimize Windows 7.

Here's what I believe is the culprit:

http://www.arikfr.com/blog/facebook-virus.html

and the error message i got after i downloaded it was Runtime Error 21 at 00DC49D2 (ncsjapi43.exe)

Now I can't install iTunes because of this:

Or Oblivion because of this

Now, I believe those two problems are linked and have something to do with the facebook virus which i have not gotten rid of.

My PC works fine, i was able to do system restore in Safe Mode at the time of the Runtime error but I don't recall running any Command Prompts.

My guess is that it's a really bad registry problem.

Can someone help me figure this out and walk me through it? Perhaps via MSNmessenger, skype, or AOL or on here? Many thanks.

Please help

On my Windows XP SP2 and Windows 7 (so the latest version of Windows) computers, I am trying to run desktop software which freezes in the meantime of gathering datas from some server or some other online location. Hello ,

Im using access and I have a combo box and an unbound field that picked up the column 1 from a table. Im using On change event. .It seemed that everything is ok when i put the first field , the second ( unbound) field automatically populate the second column from the table. The problem is when i used a data which is not on the table a box came out and say (Runtime error '3314'. You must enter a value in the 'missing field)' field.

I would be very happy for the message but this is not a normal MSGBOX. Ithink if i say it correctly , this msg came from the vba codes and block everything because below the box it has this END and DEBUG. i think my users will freak out if they press DEBUG.

Why this message came out the way it is, the code that I have is as follows:
Private Sub Arrv_IATA_Code_Change()
Me.Arrival_Point.Value = Me.Arrv_IATA_Code.Column(1)

End Sub
There must be some code that i can add to display the alert message without coming from VBA.

Thanks

A:Solved: error message 'runtime error '3314'

You should check that there is something in the Column(1).

I think I might of found a solution to this problem. At first I went to C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\Drivers\W32X86\LXCItime.dll and removed the dll file to see if that made a different and it didn't.
Then I navigated my way to Registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run). I right clicked reg value LXCICATS, selected modify and removed the entry ",RunDLLEntry". with out quotes. Restarted my pc and did not get the error anymore. Went back into the registry and found that registry had re created the ",RunDLLEntry" I had deleted. Anyway this worked for me and hopefully for others.

UPdate: Still had issues after removal of above entry. Went back in to registry, same entry and removed "DRIVERS\W32X86\3\LXCItime.dll,RunDLLEntry". Don't know if I'm on the right track or not, but someone might be able to use this to further troubleshoot this issue. Just a side note, that after removal of this last entry that start up seemed to be kinda weird as in a slight hesitation. Anyway for what its worth, good luck.

A:Lxcitime.dll Error error message for runtime.dll when boot up

Hello, I moved this to the Am I Infected forum as there are not the required logs posted for this forum. Its not unusual to receive such an error after using specialized fix tools.A "Cannot find...", "Could not run...", "Error loading... or "specific module could not be found" message is usually related to malware that was set to run at startup but has been deleted. Windows is trying to load this file but cannot locate it since the file was mostly likely removed during an anti-virus or anti-malware scan. However, an associated orphaned registry entry remains and is telling Windows to load the file when you boot up. Since the file no longer exists, Windows will display an error message. You need to remove this registry entry so Windows stops searching for the file when it loads. To resolve this, download Autoruns, search for the related entry and then delete it.Create a new folder on your hard drive called AutoRuns (C:\AutoRuns) and extract (unzip) the file there. (click here if you're not sure how to do this.)Open the folder and double-click on autoruns.exe to launch it.Please be patient as it scans and populates the entries. When done scanning, it will say Ready at the bottom.Scroll through the list and look for a startup entry related to the file(s) in the error message.Right-click on the entry and choose delete.Reboot your computer and see if the startup error returns.Credit to quietman7

A:explorer.exe application error and Runtime error

this can be a bit tricky, i do not know the cause because it can be a lot that caused this.

however if you got the windows CD.
you can try running sfc /scannow (if you can get into any command console)
it refreshes most dlls.

if you can not get into any windows app you can use recovery console (from CD first screen you press R)
and run chkdsk /p

if that fails you can use windows repair using second screen and press R
(from cd)

i hope this helps.

Now i cannot uninstall the game. It doesnt appear in Programs, Add or remove and when i try uninstall using the cd, the uninstall option is disabled, as in i cannot press it.

Initially I hesitated about posting this thread here since the problem occur in my virtualpc windows 95 on my real pc winXP, but I thought RUNTIME ERROR problem is faced by all version of Windows, so I posted it here. I apologize for the inconvenience if it really does so.

I share a program (the whole bunch of files in a folder) to my virtual pc win95 from my host pc winXP. After that I tried to open the program from my virtual pc, then it says an Olepro32.dll file was missing (note: I was shocked since I don't need this file to run this program in my host PCwinXP,but it suddenly ask me here in virtual pcwin95 to run this program), so I just simply downloaded this particular file from internet and intend to put it in into the program's folder to fix this problem. After putting it into the folder, now the program supposed to be run smoothly. As I click on the program icon again(the exe. file,I assume it is understood), a small warning Window pops up, saying this : Run-time error '48'. Error in loading DLL.

What should I do now? Is this problem have anything related to the dll file I previously put in? OR it is purely another promblem?

PS: It is absolutely WEIRD, I don't need this dll file to run the program on my host pc but it is needed in my virtual pc.....Why it is so?

Thank you so much.

Not sure whats going on, system is slow, Malwarebytes came back with error 714 (0,9), so uninstalled using add/remove programs - but even that continually showed error code thru process. Have now reinstalled Malwarebytes and running scan - nothing detected on scan yet. Tried to print on Dell 924 Photo printer (which has worked fine for 5 years) and came back printing error. Tried to add/remove MS SQL 2005 program, wouldn't allow me to uninstal...this program had error messages at startup, wasn't even sure what it was or how it got on the system, so decided to uninstal after inquiring on techguy software forum..but it wouldn't let me uninstal it. I have a particularly sticky problem I'm trying to solve.

I'm running 32 bit Vista Home Premium with IE8. I've installed all updates including Vista SP2.

When logging onto AOL e-mail, and also some other web pages (example: http://www.indianrail.gov.in/inet_metro_trns.html ), I get the following error message:

-----------------------------------
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

X Runtime Error!

Program:C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

Please contact the applications support team for more information.
-----------------------------------

The problem does not show when running in Safe Mode and also does not show up in Firefox.

Online research has suggested numerous causes for this and I have done the following:

Add-ons
Have used the add-on manager to disable all of them - have also run IE (no add-ons).

Anti-virus/Firewall/Spyware etc. - McAfee Security.
Have removed it and run McAfee's clean-up - no change so re-installed it. Malwarebytes runs clean.

Adobe reader
Have installed latest version.

Temporary files
Have cleaned out Windows/Temp and emptied the recyle bin.

IE8
Have run Tools/Internet Options/Advanced/Reset

Anyone got any ideas for what to try next?

Thanks!

Ralph.

I xuspect that it's coding or incompatible with Win 7...it's a bad sign when you see that the app was written in 2003 and reflect no apparent support page/column/whatever.

There's a similar (better doeumented) app that you may be interested in, http://www.intowindows.com/send-to-other-location-send-files-to-any-location-from-send-to-menu/ .

Run the System File Checker

Go to the Run box on the Start Menu and type in:

sfc /scannow ( sfc if not reconized) (Note that there is a space between sfc and /scannow)

This command will immediately initiate the Windows File Protection service to scan all protected files and verify their integrity, replacing any files with which it finds a problem.

In all likelihood you will be prompted to insert the Windows XP CD.

This problem is on another computer at home. I downloaded Internet Explorer 7 and installed it on my Dell computer. When I clicked IE7 to run, it came up with a Runtime Error: C:\Windows\network Diagnostic\xpnetdiag.exe.
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
I tried resetting Internet Options-inetcpl.cpl. It didn't help, I still could not get on the internet. Would you please help? Thank you.

Runtime Error to terminate in an unusual way???

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi All.

Running windows XP 1..

I got this error this morning. when I opened up my outlook express..

Microsoft Visual C & Runtime Library
Runtime Error

Program C:\Program Files\Earthlink total access\upd. mgr. exe

This application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way...

Please check the application support team for more info.

(and then a box to check okay).

So what I did was.. I disabled the Earthlink accelerator.. Then I enabled it agian. and rebooted.. Then it seemed fine.

I ran AVG.. Ad-aware, Spybot, CWS. and even a hi jack log. and all seems to be fine..

What do you think the error was.. and it kinda scared me.. that it said, it was requested to terminate "in an unusual way""?????? Yikes.. LOL

Thanks.

I am getting a really dodgy message saying; "This application has requested the run time to terminate it in an unusual way."
Then it saysProg files/commonfiles/logitech/lcdmanager/cdmon.exe

It is behaving terrible - freeze, crash, progs not running - it is acting like it is full of trojans etc. Have run spyware and adaware.

Should I be worried?

Hi
I am having a problem with opening my ACT! 2005.
when deleting Quark from my laptop I apartently deleted some Arial font and something else. when started up the ACT! 2205 I received a message that "Arial does not recognize bold" and the program will not even start. So..

1. reinstalled ACT! 2005.
This did not change anything.

2.I updated my Microsoft 2002 to 2003 (that I needed to do anyway) hoping it will install all the fonts again.

but now I am recieving an error window

Act7.exe - No debugger found
Registered JIT debugger is not available. An attempt to launch a JIT debbugger with the following command resulted in an error Code of 0x2 (2). Please check computer settings.

cordbg.exe !a 0x244

click on retry to have athe process wait while attaching a debugger manually. click on Cancel to abort the JIT debug request.
Do not know what to do at this point can you help?

Thank you,
jsadan

Got this message as I as was opening a web page: A Runtime Error has occurred. Do you wish to debug? Line 50 Error: 'win2' is null or is not an object. I'm running XP Home. I'm not even sure if this is a software problem. Is this a significant problem? Not knowing how to debug, I checked 'No.' Should I have done something different?

A:What's a Runtime Error (?)

I found this using Google, see if it helps;http://www.pcguide.com/ts/x/sys/operr.htm

If you haven't got Google bookmarked already, I suggest that you do now.

PS. Just noticed that this is a very old page since it is referring to Win 95. Some of its conclusions may still be valid but it would be risky to follow any of the specific recommendations that refer to your OS, unless you are a '95 user of course. I suggest you Google 'runtime errors' and see what else comes up.

I didn't know if this was a problem w/ Vista or IE. Just out of the blue starting yesterday, whenever I'm on the internet, a small error box pops up w/ an error sound that says:

A Runtime Error has occurred. Do you wish to Debug?
Line: 1 (or some other #)
Error: 'dojo' is undefined

It has me either click YES or NO.

When I click YES (I've even tried clicking NO & the box still pops us), a 2nd box titled Microsoft Visual Studio Debugger pops up & says:

An exception occurred. Process will be terminated. (Exception address is 00413E6C)

then has OK for me to click.

Then, a 3rd box titled Just-In-Time Debugging comes up & says:

An exception 'Runtime Error' has occurred in Script. However, no debuggers are registered that can debug this exception. Unable to JIT debug.

then, has OK for me to click.

These 3 boxes will keep repeatly popping up in this order. Why did this start & how do I get rid of this? thanks!

A:RUNTIME Error

It could be an IE problem.

What version of IE are you using? IE7 or IE8?

Do you have any other browser that encounters the same error from IE?

While attempting to install a program, I got
"Runtime error '429' Active X component can't create object".
I did some research at Google and I found some clues it is related to some kind of scripting. Those articles didn't mention an OS so I am not sure they apply to my W2K.

Any suggestions?

A:Runtime error '429'

I solved it; here's how I did it:

I searched for and downloaded (from the net somewhere) SsubTmr.dll and placed it into the WINNT\System32 folder. I then clicked Start> Run> typed in:

RegSvr32 "C:\WINNT\System32\ssubtmr.dll"

And pressed [enter]. This seemed to fix the Run-time error.

Hello Zeevmanz

Have you got Google Toolbar installed? If so, uninstall it

1. Go to Start>> Control Panel>> Add/Remove Programs.
2. Scroll the list until you find "Google toolbar for Internet Explorer".
3. Remove the program and reboot your system.

I have been having a lot of problems recently getting with firefox 7.0.1 running slow, and getting a Microsoft C++ runtime error message that forces browser to close. I have tried FF in safe mode with no add-ons, done windows update, and even reinstalled C++. I also get some "script has stopped responding, stop script or continue" messages.

This computer is used primarily by my kids, but I typically use it while they are having breakfast.

I ask here today for any infomation I can get to solve this runtime error 372 plz thanks alot . it says mscomcth.ocx is outdated and may need to be updated and this came about when reinstalling Registry Mechanic after a full format of my hard drive.

A:runtime error 372

It would sort of help if you told us when and how exactly the error occurs and what are the results.

If you mean MSCOMCTL.OCX, then you can download it freely. Just google. Look up the file on your computer (start->search->files or folders) and check its version (right click, properties). Then see if you can download a newer version.

It may be that you get the newer version when you reinstall the complaining application.

I downloaded a picture from my gmail and when I went to access it in My Documents, I got the following: runtime error!
Program C:\Window|Explorer.exe
Every time now when I click to access any program in "My Documents" I get the same or similar message. It says a close has been requested and I am back to Desktop. Desktop works ok and so (obviously) does Internet Explorer.
What can I do to correct this problem?

Last week I installed IE9RC. I have been tweaking it ever since. I like it because it's much faster than IE8 but if you install it be prepared to do a lot of tweaking. My question is: I keep getting message: Runtime Error Program C:\Program Files\Internet Express\iexplore.exe R6025-pure virtual function call. Can anyone help me? Thanks

A:Runtime Error

Well it is only a release candidate, not the finished product, and as such it still contains bugs which need addressing before the final version is launched. You should be addressing your experiences to Microsoft using the "Send Feedback" link (IE Tools >> Send Feedback), since that's the idea behind us using unfinished software
