Google/Gmail access blocked on multiple devices

Q: Google/Gmail access blocked on multiple devices

Hi there,
I find this problem very tricky to explain due to its weirdness, so my apologies if this explanation doesn't come across very well.

I have been dealing with a very strange problem in that for several hours of each day (usually in the evenings) my Ipad suddenly refuses to send and recieve mail via the Ipad mail app. Also, during these same periods my PS3 console is blocked from the playstation network. My PC running XP mostly remains fine except youtube is often inaccessible via my gmail login and some sites appear to slow down, while most sites (non-google related) appear to behave as normal.

Strangely, I am still able to access my gmail inbox via web broswers on both my PC and Ipad - but the Ipad app itself refuses to work at all.
The problem only exists for periods of a few hours each day and then everything returns to normal with no problems of notice.
After running a quick scan with Malwarebytes, it found "pup.offerware" which I removed.

Any help would be amazing! Many thanks and here is my log:

A: Google/Gmail access blocked on multiple devices

My problem no longer exists. Could this thread please be closed/deleted? I could not find how to do that myself.
Thanks.

Hi there,
I have been dealing with a very strange problem this week in that the email app on my Ipad which use a gmail address will not work at all for several hours in the evening. Also, at the same time my PS3 console is unable to access the playstation network (also uses the same gmail address). I am able to still access my gmail inbox via broswers on both my PC and Ipad - but the app itself will not work at all. Other google related sites like youtube also become inaccessible via login (even with a different gmail address). The google search engine also performs strangley on both my Ipad and PC.

The strangest part I feel is that everything is fine in the mornings (no symptoms), but once I return home from work the problem exists and remains until about 11pm and everything returns to normal. This has happened three nights in a row.

After running a quick scan with Malwarebytes, it found "pup.offerware" which sounds rather nasty from what I've read.

I find the problem tricky to explain due to its weirdness, so my apologies if this explanation didn't come across very well. Any help would be amazing!

Many thanks and here are my logs:

My main address is a gmail account, and I also have an address with my school. I want to be able to use the gmail web interface for my school address, and be able to access both addresses from the Gmail apps for Android and iOS. Also, I want the two accounts separate in each interface, and when I reply to an email sent to either address, I want it to automatically respond from the address the email was received at (in both the web interface and mobile apps). The easiest way to do this would probably be to make a new Google account just for my school email, but that would mean having to log out and log into the other account in the web browser when I want to access it on my computer. This isn't a big deal, but I was wondering if I could accomplish this using one Google account.

Thanks!

A month ago, I thought that my PC was infected by malware when the ads just pop-up when I surfed the Internet, so I installed some anti-malware program such as: Malwarebytes anti-malware, Hitman pro, Adware cleaner, Avast. After that, I could use the Internet normally.
However, a week ago I could not access any google website such as google.com, youtube.com or gmail.com....This situation happened on all the browsers (Chrome, Firefox, IE). I often got the errors like these: ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT or SSL or ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED. I can access other websites normally, and another PC at my house can access google without any problems at all.
So I type tracert www.google.com on cmd and I got this result:

Can't access to gmail and google drive me crazy because I need to use these websites everyday. Therefore, could anyone please help me to solve this problem? Many many thanks in advance.

Hi there.
I am using my phones 3G to type this and it's a real nuisance since I cannot research information for essays and other important aspects that I need when studying for my A levels.

Anyway, it started last night around 11pm, everything died and I thought it was because of the bad weather.
I woke up to sunshine however the internet was still not working.

The router is a SuperHub 2 and it had no problems up till now, the lights for 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz are flashing and so are the other lights on the router - this the router is working.

The problem is the connectivity, I use my laptop, iPhone and computer all together when studying and playing games. All of which has the same problem. All have the 5 bars connectivity however they all say "no internet access" and no response from the DNS servers.

What is the problem then?

What I've done:
- I have release and renewed the IPs
- reset router numerous times
- turned on: off router numerous times
- fiddled with wires to make sure they're plugged in.
- turned on and off computers and laptops.
- set IvP4 to automatic.
- waited hours.
- went onto the Virgin Media router page via 192.168.0.X. Then I started the router up in factory status, starting I up a few times.

How do I fix this nuisance? I need the internet now, for work purposes.
Please help, since it's affecting me and my family members and all of our devices.

A:No internet access on multiple devices

Does the Virgin Media router page give you a status of the WAN?

We had a bad storm last week and it took a few days after power was restored for Comcast to repair their lines.

I was able to get to my router, but the WAN address was 0.0.0.0 - can't get there from here!

If you have a WAN address, turn everything off (no power) then
power up your cable modem, wait a few minutes for it to cycle through what it cycles through
power up your router (if seperate) wait for it to cycle through what it cycles through
finally power up your machine and check the network status on the Virgin Media router

If you don't have a WAN address, report the outage to your provider. They probably already know about your area, but a call never hurts.

Hello all,

I have been having occasional issues with fake anti-spyware programs and google redirects for the past few months. I've gotten some temporary relief from a friend using Combofix, but the issues have come back. A few weeks back, I noticed that Windows updates were turned off and I couldn't turn them on, and that the Windows update site was blocked. I ran rkill with Spybot, which ended that problem, however the Google redirects started. I ran TDSSKiller, which found a few files and gave me a little relief, but the redirects started again and as of yesterday, I've been unable to load the Google homepage or get any results from Yahoo or Bing. I've run TDSSKiller again, but it has found nothing. I hope that you all will be able to help me out!

Okay, so I moved my wireless router to a more central location in my house (I got low signal in my room) and since then I've been able to connect to the network but only with limited access. Trying to connect to a webpage results in the "DNS lookup failed" error message (Chrome). My brother's computer had had the same issue, and the PlayStation 3 has had connectivity issues also, however I have been able to use my phone with the WiFi without any issues.

I've tried unplugging/turning the router on and off to no effect. Using a different router does not change the situation either. When I try to diagnose the network connection, it says that it could not identify the problem. Any ideas?

Some information:

Both computers run Windows 8
My phone is a Nokia Lumia 620 running WP8
The WiFi status window states that IPv4 and IPv6 have no internet access
My computer uses a Qualcomm Atheros AR5B125 wireless network adapter and says it is working correctly. The adapter is set to work with IPv4/6. IPv4 is set to obtain IP & DNS addresses automatically.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Paste the results in a message here.

If necessary use a text file and removable media to copy the results to a computer with internet access.

I cannot access google on my laptop while I'm at home. When I use my laptop at work, it's no problem. In fact, my home desktop can also access google with ease.

Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but this is what I've tried.

- Scanned for malware (with Ad-Aware)
- Scanned for viruses (AVG 7.5)
- Examined system32/hosts file
- Checked (wireless) router for blocked sites

I've also just run a hijackthis scan, in case it means something to somebody:

Hi Guys,

Simple issue: Paypal.com won't load on any device connected in my home, pc, laptop, mobile phone etc.

This can only lead me to believe it's a router realted issue though I can't seem to find a solution. I've factory resetted the router, changed it for a new one etc. and still paypal.com is unaccessable.

If I run a 'cmd' ping test on the URL, it attempts four connections and fails. The windows host files are fine and I've tried turning of all firewalls, anti-viruses, malwares for a short time to test. Still fail.

Does anyone know a solution I can try?

I've read other topics about it here, but my situation is somewhat unique.

1) I can successfully ping websites from the command line (PC)/Network utility (Mac), but can't open any pages in internet browsers. This applies to all devices/OS/browsers (Win 8, OSX, iOS, Android) as well as apps and software that requires Internet access in the household.

2) The incoming e-mails (in Mac mail app) go through.

3) I have 2 routers ? AirPort Time Capsule and the standard router from ISP. I tried them both, same zero result (ping - yes, browsing - no).

ISP hesitates to send help, they don't see any issues on their side of the line yet.

Not posting any logs since it's a multiple devices/routers situation.

Any ideas?

I'm pretty sure I have the google redirect virus, I have tried numerous fixes and nothing seems to be working. When I go to google.com it defaults to the old google search engine with a copyright date of 2009 and if the search does work it sends me to numerous ads. I also can't access any of my gmail accounts, when I search for gmail.com it takes me to the old school google search page (also, this has been happening on all of the computers in our house, 2 laptops and a desktop). I was following one of the other forums where it suggested I download Malware Bytes/Antimalware and run that which I did, no infections came back. I did the DNS flush and restarted my router and ran HijackThis but I can't seem to get the results to save in a recognized file to attach to this. If there are any suggestions or fixes please let me know!!!! Edit: Moved topic from Vista to the more appropriate forum. ~ Animal

A:Can't Access Google (and Gmail, Blogspot)

An update: I found that I can access blogspot / blogger pages now.
What happens sometimes is that I would still get the [Alert. The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded.] message,
but unlike [google.com] the full blog URL address remains in the address bar and I just hit enter again or refresh.
What happens other times is that the URL address gets "reduced":
I'd type in [http://www.example.blogspot.com/2008/01/test.html]
and it gets "reduced" to [http://2008/01/test.html]

This can happen for any links - say if I were to right-click on an image embedded in the blog, and open it in a new tab/window,
it can "reduced" from
[http://bp1.blogger.com/__XCWUd8FFjQ/R7Xp3iqgO2I/AAAAAAAACrw/WadOla9ky2g/s1600-h/AA.jpg]

to
[http://__XCWUd8FFjQ/R7Xp3iqgO2I/AAAAAAAACrw/WadOla9ky2g/s1600-h/AA.jpg]

Hi.

I just began to experience a new problem which is universal to firefox, explorer, and opera. Whenever I use the google search bar or attempt to access google.com through the actual address bar, my browser is redirected to a search site called www.results-page.net. Even clicking on this site's link to google.com does not allow me to access it, but instead directs me back to the phony search engine. I am still able to access other websites by using the address bar. Disturbingly, even though almost all searches using the search bar are redirected to results-page.net, if I type in anti-virus companies' names or major shopping websites such as amazon, I am directed to those websites after passing through an intermediate website whose address briefly flashes on the address bar. An example of this intermediate is as follows:

http://92.242.140.21/?nxdomain=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fsearch%3Fq%3Dbbb%26ie%3Dutf-8%26oe%3Dutf-8%26aq%3Dt%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial%26client%3Dfirefox-a&AddInType=2&PlatformInfo=pbrgen

The IP address is always the same.

I am running the 32-bit version of Windows 7 Professional.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Okay, so this is fairly strange problem I am having. Yesterday I downloaded a file that contained a virus, fortunately Windows 7 picked up on it and was able to quarantine it. However, ever since I got the virus I am strangely unable to get access to any of the Google websites. For example, www.gmail.com just times out. I can make it to www.google.com but not everything on the page loads and you cannot do any searches whatsoever. Absolutely EVERY other website I have attempted to access works just fine with no problems at all. I thought perhaps it was a firewall issue or something but as far as I can tell nothing is being blocked. I am certain it has something to do with the virus but I was able to remove it. I also downloaded some scanner programs like AVG and Spybot and they haven't helped any.

Any recommendations? Thanks

I don't know why you focus on a post from 2010 when in fact there must be thousands of posts where HijackThis logs has been requested. However, if you think you are infected then this is not the correct forum. Please start a new thread in the Virus & Other Malware Removal forum and provide the logs requested in the sticky post at the top of that forum.

This appears to just be my computer. Google Page Creator hasn't been working for a few days now, and now Gmail isn't working either. Checking other services, I also see that Checkout, Calendar, and Docs and Spreadsheets are also not working. Does anyone know why this might be?

(I'm using Firefox 2.0, in case you were wondering. I've tried clearing my cache and all my Google cookies, as well as adding all problematic pages to the internet filter's whitelist.)

Whether it's working or not for you, please let me know what general area you live in. I'm in Michigan (USA, EST time zone)

It works on my sister's computer, who's on the same DSL gateway... So it must be something wrong with my computer. Anyone have an idea?

I tried using the PHProxy (a plugin for Firefox)... It worked for other sites, but not Googlepages or Gmail.

Hello!I have a Dell Studio XPS M1640 using Windows Vista. (edit: I think I chose the wrong place to post this; I will look for Vista) I am staying with a friend and connected to his network. From the moment I connected to his network I have only been able to access Google/gmail. I phoned Dell Tech Support and they suspect a virus and tried to log onto my computer remotely in safe mode. They were unable to access my computer. They are pretty sure it's a virus. I'm wondering if there's a simple problem with my network settings. It seems weird that simply switching networks would result in a virus. Has anyone come across this situation? Thanks.{Mod Edit: moved from XP to Vista ~~boopme}EDIT 2: combined topics

Hi there,

I have just joined this forum to see if I can get rid of whatever bugs or virus I have picked up. I posted over on computing.net when I first realised I had a virus and did get help from someone. But after having followed some initial steps, this person just seems to have vanished - possibly on vacation or something, but my problem has not been completely resolved. Despite other posts for help, no one appears willing. I am hoping and praying that someone here will help me resolve my problem. I am not very clued in when it comes to tech stuff so please bear with me.

I can copy over the steps I have done so far upon request. I have a Hijack this log and one other log also. I'm afraid to try anything without being told just in case I do any damage. Thanks so much for your help.

Hello,

Here's my problem:

I am unable to access google.com, gmail, and bing. I can access yahoo.com, but I'm unable to do a search from there. In all cases, the browser just keeps "connecting", but will never load the page. This happens in both Firefox 7.0.2 and IE.6.0.2900.

Ran Malwarebytes and found malware, which I instructed it to clean up.

Run Malwarebytes again but cannot find anything else.

For several months my desktop computur running Windows XP will not access google.com, gmail.com, and some other sites, but otherwise seems to access most other sites, including google.co.il. This is on Chrome and Firefox. Explorer hardly works so I don't bother with it. My laptop works on the same wireless router, and does access these sites. I have Norton anti-virus, and it doesn't show anything that would seem to indicate this problem. Any help?

I also can't sign on to google. It originated when my brother went to porn sites on my computer and I got the Spywareguard 2008 thing, which took way too much work to remove. Finally thought I got it all fixed, but I just noticed today that this is happening.

I have something pretty important I'd like to access, so I appreciate any help greatly. Thanks.

Hi Everyone,

I am using a Gmail account with Google Chrome (browser). Whenever I log into my Gmail account I am also getting logged into Google in general. When I look at my Home Page after logging out of Gmail I see that I am logged into Google.

Is there anyway of either making Chrome not log me into Google in general when I log into my Gmail account, or otherwise setting Chrome so that it signs me out of Google when I sign out of Gmail?

Any help here will be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards,

My home pc was infected by "windows protection suite" fake spyware protection. That is when I first found I could not get to the gmail site and could not sign into google toolbar. IE just says it cannot locate the site. After removing the "windows protection suite" spyware virus, I still cannot bring up the gmail site or sign into the toolbar, however, everything else works fine and I can access other sites and email on yahoo, and windows live/hotmail and on cox. I have no problem on my netbook accessing gmail and google toolbar though. Also tried various web browsers (firefox, google chrome and internet explorer) with same results on my PC. I have scanned the computer with malware malbites, McAfee suite, spyware detector and ESET smart security (which actually removed the virus). I have also scanned with the restore off. still no luck.

Hi, this is my first post here. Im having a very funny problem with my internet connection/browser.
I am able to access many websites but none which are requird the most. this keeps happening on and off.
example: gmail.com opens up but cant log in. it gives me the error msg - page cannot be displayed. same with yahoomail, facebook, orkut etc.
i can open google but cant search for anything - it takes a while and then gives me a "page cannot be displayed".im having a lot of issues searching for something or checking my mail etc.
this keeps happening intermittently.
Although it allows me to go to any microsoft website, log into my hotmail and other stuff.
i cant go to any of the regular sites.
i bought this desktop recently and also got a linksys wireless router[wrt54g] with it.
the first day it was working fine after i configured my net connection and stuff. but soon, i started getting a lot of spyware and malware and i was unable to do any scans to remove it, so i did a system restore and since then im having these issues.

i use ms ie 7 and ff 2.0.0.14.
winxp sp2.
i also have a HJT log pasted below:

Hello,

I'm new to this forum and really appreciate that it exists. Thank you in advance to those who would take the time to help me out. This is the first time I have been unable to access a particular server exclusively (google.com) - basically I can't access Gmail or any google search engine. I checked the previous thread on this topic and it didn't really help me because my logs appear different. I first ran AdAware and SpyBot Search & Destroy scans and all they found were tracking cookies. I ran HijackThis and saved my log. Then I found the PCHelp forum and followed the instructions given by an administrator: I made all files visible, disabled system recovery on all disks, went into Safe Mode and ran AVG and SUPERAntiSpyware, restarted in Safe Mode, then ran CCleaner. All the files it found were cleaned - no recurrences. I then ran HijackThis in Normal Mode and followed it up with a PANDA activescan.

I have attached the following scan logs:

The first file (Dec. 19 2007.txt) is the HijackThis log from the first scan I did before reading the instructions on this site.
The second file (AVGReport) is the result of an AVG full scan in Safe Mode.
The third file (SUPERAntiSpyware) is the result of a full SUPERAntiSpyware scan in Safe Mode.
The fourth file (hijackthis log) is the result of the HijackThis scan I did in Normal Mode after restarting.
The fifth file (PANDA activescan) is the result of a PANDA activescan.

I operate an up-to-date Sony laptop with XP and a few weeks ago, three programs stopped working: FireFox, Google desktop search, and access to the internet via AOL (AOL works otherwise). AOL sends me a message that a software firewall is blocking me from using two programs, aoltpspd.exe and aoltsmon.exe.

I have turned off all firewalls, including the new Windows one, and the problem remains. I seem to have a hidden firewall - or a software conflict - that I cannot find.

Suggestions, please?

A:Blocked: FireFox, Google desktop search, AOL internet access

Look in your system tray and see if there are icons there you do not know....maybe one is a firewall? This could take some testing, but open your Task Manager, click on the 'Processes' tab, then look up any you don't know.

If you do have a firewall running, it should be associate with a port on your computer. There is a freeware application called Active Ports that will narrow your search.

First off thank you for volunteering your time to help those of us less computer literate. I apologize if the following wall of text is more information than necessary, but I figure the more information you have the better you can help. I am running Windows XP Professional. I swore I downloaded SP3 but properties shows SP2.

Yesterday morning I couldn't log into my Gmail account. I would click login and it would simply not proceed past that point. So I tried another website, but every website would timeout and not load.

Only by closing my browser window (Mozilla) and opening a new window could I get a site to come up. And then only the first site I tried. Every new tab would time out.

I thought perhaps Mozilla was buggy or corrupted. I updated to the new Mozilla 3.0 but this did not help.

I checked another computer on my network and everything loaded just fine so I began to suspect a virus. I disabled system restore. When doing so I noticed I had no previous restore points. I found this odd at first, and have since read this may be a symptom of another virus. I downloaded and updated the virus definitions for Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware. Reboot my computer in safe mode and ran both along with my corporate edition of Symantec.

Some keylogger was detected and quarantined/fixed. Unfortuantely I did not have the foresight to get the name. Also detected was Virtumonde and Win32:tratbho. I thought everything was fixed. Rebooted into normal mode a... Read more

I got curious about the gmail drive shell extension application, so I installed it and it worked just fine while at university (ethernet wired connection, very fast). Today I was home and saw I couldn't open gmail. It said 502 Server Error.

SO I uninstalled gmail drive extension, and deleted all cookies, temp files, ran registry cleaning. Then restarted.

Upon restart, I STILL got that 502 server error.

What could be the problem? I would rather not do system restore because I have installed a lot of programs since then, and really don't feel like redoing it. But I don't know how I could fix the problem manually.

If anybody has any suggestions, please. Thanks!

What I can tell you is that when I saw my data go out of control, I opened my Task Manager and found dllhost.exe *32 COM Surrogate running and it will not stop. I had never seen that running before. Hello all! I'm asking for help with my husband's laptop.

He's running 8.1 and can only access Google-related sites (Gmail, Google, Youtube) with every browser he's tried. (IE, Firefox, and Chrome)

I'm able to access any website I want on my Mac, so I'm fairly certain that something is up with his specific computer.

A Mcaffee Scan came up clean. I did notice some plug-ins and add-ons. I disabled all of the ones that would allow me to do it, but no success. So, short of returning this brand new laptop to the store, I'm fresh out of ideas.

A:Can only Access Google-Related Sites in Multiple Browsers

This may not solve the problem for everyone but i have a simple solution for this that worked for me and doesn't require DLing a bunch of unfamiliar programs. Simple explanation is most sites still use IPv4. Sites like Google Youtube Facebook and many other very popular sites have already started using IPv6. If you find that you can connect to sites like these and no other sites you probably have a problem with your IPv4 settings. I'm using Win7 so I'll leave instructions for that but I'm sure you can figure out the steps on other versions.

1) CONTROL PANEL -> NETWORK AND SHARING CENTER.

2)Once on NETWORK AND SHARING CENTER page click on CHANGE ADAPTER SETTINGS (toward top left portion of page)

3)Find the connection you use on the NETWORK CONNECTIONS page (<-the page that pops up) RIGHT CLICK on your connection and choose PROPERTIES.

4)In the popup window on the NETWORKING tab you will see a list of checked boxes with script next to them. Find the one labeled INTERNET PROTOCOL VERSION 4 (TCP/IPv4)

5)Highlight the text (single left click) and click the PROPERTIES button (middle right on page)

6)On the PROPERTIES page under the GENERAL tab you will want to make sure the bubbles next to OBTAIN IP ADDRESS AUTOMATICALLY and OBTAIN DNS SERVER ADDRESS AUTOMATICALLY are both checked. (the top bubble for ip and top bubble for dns should both have a dot)

7)Push OK/APPLY on all windows as you back out of these options and repeat these steps for all connections on the NETWOR... Read more

When I try to go onto google I get the error message "Internet explorer cannot display the webpage" Diagnose a connection problem but there is no connection problem as all other non google websites work.

The other error I get is "the address is not valid" when it clearly is.

Please help me as this problem is driving me mad.

They are all recognized correctly by the BIOS. All USB ports are functional for keyboard & mice, just not storage devices. For security, many businesses lock out external storage. This is a home computer and has malfunctioned that way since it was unpacked 2 weeks ago. I am sure that there is a key in the registry that will remove this lock, that is what I am searching for. Thanks for your help

Have you contacted Lenovo? I'd be on the phone and not let this issue last for 2 weeks. If it wasn't fixed, then the computer would be returned because it isn't working.

I consider myself an advanced user, but this one I've never seen, nor can I find info out for...

I haven't been able to plug a video camera or external hard drive into my computer via FireWire. I then tried a different cable, nothing. I then tried a different device and cable, nothing. I then tried a different computer with two devices, nothing.

My USB2.0 works fine with each device and computer. I also took the new computer into CompUSA and they tried their firewire device and all worked. I bought a new firewire cable, but I have the same luck with each device.

How can 2 external hardrives, and one sony camera not work, after working for a year. What happened? What do I need to do?

I support a network of 12 computers, all of which run through one hardware firewall. One computer on my network is getting a 404 error when trying to access www.gmail.com, or if they click the mail icon on yahoo.com. All other internet access seems ok on that station, and gmail and yahoo mail work on every other station.

I checked for blocked sites, allowed sites, and tried turning off the software firewall on that particular machine. The last reported problem by AVG Pro was startpage.cza INSTALL_FP6_WU_R88.EXE. All of my research on that showed that it was a false positive.

Any ideas?

I was unable to get a DDS log. When I double click on dds.scr, I get a security warning stating that "The publisher could not be verified" and I click on "Run" to run it anyway. The dds.exe *32 appears in the task manager for about 12 seconds getting up to about 3,240KB, the command prompt window appears and instantly closes, and the dds.exe process disappears as well.

Since I'm running a x64 machine, I can't get a GMER log.

I've run Malware Bytes and it removed 1 malware and I ran it after rebooting and it's showing clean now. Trend-Micro doesn't show any issues. I've also run the Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool and it didn't show anything. I've also run TDSSKiller and it didn't find anything..

Even though MalwareBytes isn't showing any threats, I have seen a couple of notices from the taskbar where it has blocked outbound communication with a maliciious website.

Edit: DDS ran and here's the log:
Edit2: Just had another popup from MalwareBytes where it says it's trying to contact a malicious website. This one had a different port number, but the IP address is the same and it's still the csrss.exe that's showing up in the message.
I just saw another popup from MalwareBytes and this one was from coreserviceshell.exe. It popped up multiple times trying to following bing links in Chrome. I then get a message that says "Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data."

There are multiple websites that I cannot connect to, facebook, rottentomatoes, youtube, to name a few. Others seem perfectly fine. A few seem okay, but seem to be running slowly.

This is the case for both my computer (on which I am running Windows 7), which is connected directly to the router, *and* mobile devices which are connected wirelessly.

On my computer I have tried using several different browsers to no avail, but when I used the TOR browser to proxy, I was able to access them.

I apologize if this has been asked, but I haven't been able to find anything this specific.

Thank you.

Hi. Hoping I've used the correct forum for my question.....

A query. My wife run a voluntary interest group with some friends. We have registered a gmail account for admin purposes and would like to add delegated access to other friends as admins that help us. To test it, I've added my wife as a delegate and it works fine.....when using a pc to access the email account. What I'd like to know is if there is a method of being able to allow delegated access from mobile devices running ios or android? We're not too IT savvy so simple methods - if they exist - would be appreciated. We can always register other email addresses of course with other providers or download other apps which may assist. Open to any suggestions really.

Thanks in advance.

Our ISP recently updated their hard ware to work with the Sprint network. Note: our ISP is not Sprint, but the local phone company.

Our Hardware:
Internet: DSL 10.0 (highest speed available)
Modem: Comtrend (ISP provides)
Router: Belkin N
Computer: 10 yr old Dell running XP - service pac3 - wired connection
Kindle Fire (first edition, no HD, etc) - wireless connection
Xbox 360 - wireless connection

Issues:
Xbox - went from constantly bumped from Xbox Live game by losing internet connection to not being able to enter a game at all
Kindle - went from occasional "network error' message during online tasks to having to restart download (multiple times) or refresh page for most any or all online tasks
Computer - have to click refresh to get most any page to load after the home page

What we've tried so far:
I have recently cleared the cache on both the computer and Kindle. XBox's new security measures have been met.

My questions:
Do any or all of these issues seem to be related?
Is there a piece of equipment or something we may be missing to make all of these things work? I am a networking novice.
Who should I call to get these issues corrected, my ISP or a tech service? Note: if I start with the ISP and they do not find an issue I have to pay for the call.

A:Multiple issues over multiple devices

First. You should try to NOT use a wireless connection for any type of gaming: PC, Mac, Console, etc. If you can hard wire the xbox you'll be waaay better off than using wireless.

Now... Yes, the issues could be related - there maybe an issue with the Belkin N router. I'd try to first reset the Belkin router to default settings, check on manufacturer website for instructions how, most routers you can press a "reset" button w/ a paperclip or ball point pen. Reconfigure the Belkin router, recreate the wireless network and see how everything works. If you are still having issues, humor me and connect the Dell directly to the DSL modem, bypassing Belkin router. See if you still have connection issues, if you do then it could be the DSL modem that is the problem and call your ISP to replace. If you don't have same issues then it's most likely an issue with the Belkin router. Replace it. Don't buy the dirt cheapest router at the store, but you most likely don't need the most expensive one either. Find a good middle ground router, ask sales associate to assist you accordingly.

Post back, Hope this helps!!

Hiya,

I have Norton 360 and it has been notifying me of repeated attacks on my computer. It's been going on for a few weeks (maybe more that I'm not aware of) and the attacks are occurring every couple of minutes, some of which are high risk.
They have all been blocked and no action was needed, but it does worry me that it's occurring and I want it stopped!
I downloaded Norton Power Eraser and ran a scan (including rootkit) which didn't work.
So I then actived Norton Intrsuion AutoBlock for 48 hours hoping that would curb it but still occuring.
Then downloaded and ran Malware Bytes which quarantined and removed trojans...but I'm still getting these unauthorized attacks.

Hello, does anyone know the best way to accomplish having two gmail accounts open SIMULTANEOUSLY, whether in Chrome (preferred) using a workaround or extension, or in Firefox?  (There are plenty of options out there to handle password management to switch between accounts with a click or two, but if you want to be in two at the same time, the only things I've been able to find for Chrome at least is to open two different windows one in Incognito the other in regular mode.)  It would be MUCH easier to have both email accounts open in respective tabs within the same window.

Anyone found a way to do this yet (in either Chrome or Firefox, Opera)?

A:Being in multiple gmail accounts simultaneously

I don't think its possible natively, due the nature of how cookies and sessions are handled.

I do not believe you can be signed in to multiple gmail accounts on the same browser at the same time.

However if you open one of your gmail accounts in a different browser (Internet Explorer for example) you can do that.

First symptom was that the desktop icon to go to IE resulted in "Cannot find server"

IE is getting online, I can ping sites and my anti virus updates etc but IE will not open any web sites - except secure ones

Hopefully the solution is in the log file to follow. Thanks !

I am trying to import a large list of vcards from an old hosted email account to Google Apps/Gmail. I've read multiple posts online about how to combine multiple vcards into a single vcf file to import into Gmail. The most common method is to use the cmd prompt and enter "copy /B *.vcf all_in_one.vcf" or something similar.

The problem is when this file is imported into Gmail, only the last contact in the list is visible and all the other contacts are stored within that one contact. So, all I see is one contact of my hundreds of contacts.

Some posts said the problem with this method is that there needs to be a space or multiple spaces between each vcard in the combined vcf file. I haven't been able to duplicate or figure out how to alter the script do that.

Thank you for the help!

UPDATE: The simplest way to manage Vcards is to import them into your Contacts folder (Windows). From there you can export the vcards as a cvs file, which can be uploaded into Gmail.

I have 4 gmail and one ISP email accounts operating with Mozilla Thunderbird. I use my cell phone as a modem with GSM or 3G connection. I get totally confused with multiple messages - unable to send connection timed out, unable to send to sent folders. Mails in outbox can remain for days without my being able to send. Sometimes unable to save as draft. Result - I don't know whether messages have been sent or not. Sometimes lose messages completely. Read incoming messages may be recieved two or three times before being finally marked as read - even when I mark them as read!
The problems may be with our 'third world' connections but I believe that there are problems with Thunderbird. Has anyone had the same problem? More importantly, what is the solution - apart from going back to Outlook or handling each gmail account separately via google. Reluctant to do that since I only established multiple accounts because of Thunderbird's ability to use common boxes.

Hello, long time Leo radio listener.
Issue: I have multiple google business email accts and I still love ms outlook. How can I sync contacts and calendar for multiple gmail business accts while still maintaining 1 outlook profile? Google Apps Sync for Microsoft Outlook (GASMO) tool only lets you sync 1 acct per outlook profile and outlook prevents you from opening 2 unique outlook sessions using different profiles. I am using outlook 2013 32bit. I dont mind having a 3rd party application if necessary, but would like to maintain use of outlook as i also use an addin for my crm with it.
So far I have not been able to not find a practical solution. Your help and expertise is much appreciated.

Further clarification:
1 outlook profile with multiple gmail business acct emails
[email protected]#1.com
[email protected]#2.com
both need to sync email, contacts, and calendars.

I cant be the only person that would like to make this work! Us, small business owners often have multiple business that need remain separate, but our lives need to be in sync.:

A:Syncing Multiple Gmail App accts with Outlook

To have a single pst file, when setting up the email account, one needs to use the "manual" path and select pst file tha one wants the info to be added to.
Then you may be able to sync additional accounts.

Disclaimer,
I do not use Outlook to access my internet emisl accounts.

I'm pretty sure you can but they might get in one another's way and cause some unexpected results or delays if they were both actually running and syncing at exactly the same time on the same system.

I use w10 on 3 devices, a mid range gaming PC, linx7 tablet, and lumia640. On the whole the experience is pretty good, syncing works well, reminders, alarms, contacts etc. This was one of the reasons I opted for android early, using chrome on a PC gave a similar, yet skimmed down, one OS feel.
I've not had one BSOD since updating the 'rig', my mobile works great, and the tablet is amazing for ?49! I was talking to my father in law who uses all 3 main OSs every day, and we both agree that windows just feels more 'grown up' than iOS or android. He wants a win10 phone next to replace his android (he'll have to keep the company iPhone4).
So like I said, does anyone else have a similar experience?

I want to use the audio simultaneously from my ati 4550 HDMI, Sony blue-tooth speaker via usb BT dongle, 3.5mm jacks on my mobo, and also from a spdif and digital coax linked to the mobo via on board header to expansion bracket with ports.

I know this all may sound like overkill, however I don't have the funds for high end switches / replicators, etc. So manually changing them has been a hassle.

I have done some reading and I know se7en doesn't let you. I did this with xp x64.

Anyone know of a "work-around" or hack to enable all devices at once?

I've been having a weird experience in the last few weeks. I leave firefox open on my pc for some time, while i go do other things. When I come back, The gmail and or google sign in page has opened in about 7 tabs. I can not say for sure if I left my browser on a google page when I walked away, but it certainly isn't likely, based on my typical activity. I have run superantispyware free edition, and it didn't find anything. My regular virus protection, isn't finding anything: Avast free. And Malwarebytes anti-malware hasn't found anything. Google searches haven't found anyone else presenting a similar problem. the default suggestion by firefox forums for problems, is usually to "reset" firefox, and lose a lot of my settings, which is a pain.

I'm wondering if anyone else has a suggestion of where I can look for a source to this quirk. perhaps I hit a function key by accident some time recently or something like that?
There is another quirk that started up even before this. At times, when I'm typing into a box, such as this one, or a compose gmail box, the paragraph starts to scroll up a bit without any prompt. In other words, it's not because I reached the end of a line in my typing. It's just scrolling up a bit as if it has a mind of its own. Since this is also not a consistent problem, I have no idea what I may have done to trigger this behavior!

Any suggestions, other than resetting firefox would be appreciated!

hi, i'm relatively new here, so i'm not really sure how to do this but alot of my games are having problems i.e. ? has cause in invalid page fault in unknown. I am led to believe it is a soundcard problem, i use an onboard sound card with the VIA VT1612A 2-channel audio Codec and i look in multimedia properties under audio devices, i had two different ones, Audio for via Ac'97 Enhanced Audio Controller(WDM), and Audio for Vinyl AC'97 Codec Combo Driver (WDM), i was told by a friend to uninstall the drivers and then reinstall to fix this, i did, now on top of those two devices i have a second Audio for Vinyl AC'97 Codec Combo Driver (WDM). I also have three MIDI for WDM-based Device. ANd Mixer for VIA AC'97 Enhanced Audio Controller (WDM), along with two Mixer for Vinyl AC'97 Codec Combo Driver (WDM),this may be normal, but like i said i'm relatively new at this and it doesn't really look normal, so can someone please help me? Thank You

A:need help, multiple audio devices

Look at the back of your computer. Do you have onboard sound AND a seperate PCI sound card? If so then you need to disable the onboard sound in the BIOS setup and use only the PCI sound card.

Now go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall ALL VIA AC97, AC97, Vinyl audio drivers and anything else that looks like it goes to sound drivers.

Then go to Device Manager and uninstall/remove all remaining VIA/Vinyl/AC97 devices listed under the Multimedia heading. Reboot only after all are removed.

Then download the latest VIA Vinyl drivers. When you first run the new driver setup program it will look to see if there are still drivers installed, if it finds any then it give you the option to uninstall them. Do that and reboot.

Then run the VIA installation again and install the drivers, and reboot.

At any point Windows may redetect the sound card and want to reinstall the drivers - let it. Do NOT click Cancel on the Found New Hardware Wizard. If all goes well prior to install the latest driver the sound card should be detected as a PCI Multimedia Device and that means all the drivers will have been removed.

Here's the latest drivers: http://www.viaarena.com/Driver/Vinyl_AudioCode_v600a_M.zip
They are in a ZIP file, once extracted you need to run the SETUP.EXE file to install the drivers.

Hi,

I have an ethernet connection running from a router to another room and I wonder if I could use that single connection for multiple devices (computer, game systems, etc). Will a hub work for a connection coming from a router?
Is it possible to have them all up and running simultaneously or does it have to be one device at a time?

Thanks,
~mark

A:Single IP, multiple devices

If it's a standard SOHO router, and not a switch or a modem, you can have up to 253 devices attached. (There are 256 addresses available, but you can't use the first or last address, and one is reserved for the gateway--the router itself.) Note that the 253 addresses includes wireless devices.

I use laptop, with system speaker volume too low, almost inaudible.
It has inbuilt sigmatel HD audio, with 3.5 mm jack ( I do connect my headphone with it).
I also posses a bluetooth headset (DELL).

Is there any way I can get output to both the headsets?

I need this to watch movie, so that me and my room partner can easily listen via saperate sets fo headphone without difficulty.

A:using multiple sound devices

as far as i know you cannot output to two audio devices at the same time from one program unless the program alows this (eg. PCDJ)

To solve the problem you could get a 3.5mm spliter and another set of 3.5mm headphones but this would probably require a trip to an electronics shop unless you have one already.

also post what OS you are running in case someone else knows of another way.

Hope you can assist me please, my husband and self are not very computer literate.

A:Email Across Multiple Devices

The closest thing would be to set them all up as IMAP instead of POP accounts. That way you get all the same email, the same deletions and moves, and the same emails marked as read across all devices. It doesn't quite prevent you from seeing the email more than once unless you move that email to another folder or delete it in which case the same thing will happen on the rest of the devices.

You would have to check with your email service to see if they support IMAP and to get the correct settings. Or post your email provider here.

Also, I changed the title of your thread from your name to something more meaningful.

Windows 7 Ultimate, 64 bit. Home network. Already have 3 printer devices. One printer is All-in-One (HP). Want to keep that device installed and be able to use all functions. Want to add a desk top scanner for speed and versatility. The All-in-One is network cabled and also USB to my desktop computer. The desktop scanner is not network; would be USB to my desktop computer. I seem to recall reading somewhere (not sure of this - maybe HP literature to discourage buying other scanners) that you can't have more than one scanner. Doesn't seem logical. Is more than one scanner (using only one at any one time) OK?

A:Are Multiple Scanner Devices OK?

As far as I know you have as many usb devices hooked up to one computer. There is a theoretical limit of 124, but it really is determined on how many usb ports you have as to how many usb devices you can hook up. Each device has it's own driver/software package, so I don't see any real reason you couldn't. I know for a fact you can have a printer (all in one) and scanner hooked up at the same time. My dad did using XP, Lexmark all in one printer and an HP scanner.

I would like to connect a variety of wireless devices in my house to my work VPN while allowing other devices in the house access to my home network as normal.

I was hoping to find a wireless ADSL router that allows me to associate a LAN port to a VPN connection, then connect a wireless access point to that port. I could then run two wireless networks in my house, one that would connect to my work VPN and the other that would not.

Is there such a router?

If not, is there some other way of doing what I need?

So here's the setup:

Windows Home Premium X64, 8GB Ram, I5-3570K CPU

Recently built. I understand there's been an issue with Windows 7 using different devices for audio outputs. I was told by MS IT to use Virtual Audio Cable (VAC) for 'combining' my programs/devices into the same output.

My computer is mostly built for Audio recording (Audacity, Adobe Audition), and virtual instrumentation (Reason 5, FL Studio, Abelton, etc...)

My issue is that while some of these programs work well with VAC, key important ones such as Reason 5 do not. With my particular soundcard and driver, there is a degree of latency between the time I press a note on the keyboard to when I can actually hear it.

FL Studio automatically bundles ASIO4ALL - an awesome '0 latency' driver pack that comes with a easy to use control menu. ASIO4ALL is automatically selected as the audio card driver.

However I am unable to use VAC whilst keeping the latency low at the same time.

I need some help if you please!

A:Multiple Devices - VAC not working for needs.

I have a Sonar X2 (Producer) studio. Something like your questions would be better answered on a board such as www.gearslutz.com where recording and DAW equipment is the topic of the forum.

I don't like ASIO4ALL, it can cause problems. I've had problems with trying to use it when I had a Focusrite Saffire Pro 40. I've seen other posts (on other forums) about ASIO4ALL problems.

I have a Roland Octa-Capture and an MAudio Fastrack Ultra 8R and I only use the drivers supplied by Roland and MAudio.

Hi, I recently purchased a HP Pavilion dv6974 Laptop, it came installed with Vista 64-bit. It works fine and all, just one thing I want to figure out.

The laptop has built-in speakers, a built-in mic, 2 headphone jacks and 1 microphone jack. I plugged my headset into one of the headphone jacks, my headset microphone into the microphone jack, and my external speakers into the second headphone jack.

What I wish to do is to set it up in a way that I can play music through my speakers, and Ventrilo through my headset.

The way I did this before on my desktop was that there was this option in the Realtek Audio Manager called "enable playback multi-stream" that separated the two audio jacks on the computer (one in the back, and one in the front). Then I was able to choose a different audio driver for Ventrilo, and use the default one for music. This was on XP, and I only had one sound card btw.

And now for Vista, I've tried looking through the Audio Device Manager and the Realtek Audio Manager but couldn't find anything that would help much, except in the Realtek Audio Manager there's this "tie up all input jacks something something, etc" that sounded like it was what I was looking for, but all it did was mess up my microphone.

To add more to this confusion, there is actually another audio device in the Audio Device Manager, but it's the Digital Audio Receiver, and I don't really know what that does.

I've asked about this problem elsewhere, and some peopl... Read more

Ok, this isn't really pc related, but I'm sure it's an issue many of you face every day. I have a PDA/GPS, cell, bluetooth headset and blackberry. I use each every day, which means every night I have to plug all four devices in to charge. Does anyone know of some kind of charging station that would house all four power adapters neatly and allow me to charge all four devices from one outlet? Is there some kind of travel charger that would let me plug all four devices in to charge at once? Such a hassle taking all four adapters every time I travel.

I have three gmail accounts that I access in Thunderbird. They all receive emails perfectly, but the issue is when I reply or send email from these accounts. (I've listed my SMTP settings after each).

Account Two: [email protected] (this sends and receives perfectly) sMtp.gmail.com

Account Three: [email protected] (this receives perfectly, but when I reply it shows as being sent by [email protected]) smtp.gmail.com

Any idea how I can fix this? I want to get it set up correctly on my computer and then I will do the same on my iPhone.

A:Solved: SMTP issue with multiple gmail accounts in Thunderbird

You'll need to set up an SMTP server for each account.
It sounds like you're sending using the personal accounts server.
Tools>Accounts>Outgoing server(SMTP).
On the right click Add, type a unique description for the business account, the username for the business account (which should be different from your personal) and check the "use password".
Once the server is set, click the Business account in the left pane.
In the right pane, set the "Outgoing Server" drop list to the newly created SMTP server and click OK.
When you send a mail from that account the first time, you should be asked for the username and password. Check the box to have it remembered.
On the compose window you'll have a drop down on the From line that will list what account you wish to send the message from. It should automatically be the account you're sending from, but if you use the global inbox instead of separate account inboxes, you may have to select it.

I admire the Google development team for trying so hard to provide the users with the ability to keep the more important and relevant emails at the "top of the stack" so to speak. However, after struggling with Gmail's various inbox types (default, important first, unread first, etc.) and then the associated categories for each one of the inbox types, I finally resolved/resigned to using the simple labeling system: 1-most important, 2- next most important, ... Of course I would like to have my emails listed in this order without having to first search for label:1 and then subsequently search for label:2 etc. I thought this could be done with the Multiple-inboxes lab, BUT I can't seem to get the Multiple-inbox window panes to display. Yes, I went to Settings (gear icon), then Settings, then Labs and Enabled Multiple-inbox lab. I then went again to Settings, Settings, Multiple inboxes and for: Pane 0 entered: is:unread, Pane 1 entered: label:1, etc. For the Extra Panels Positioning I chose Above the Inbox and lastly saved the changes. Alas, I got nothing by my Default inbox listing. Any clue as to what I am doing wrong or not doing? I use Windows Vista, with Service Pack 2. Thanks

A:Solved: GMAIL Multiple-Inbox window panes will not display

Well, after fiddling around for what seemed like forever, here is what I did to get it to work. Under Settings, and with Inbox type: Default, I had to deselect every Category (except Primary which is preselected by the system). Apparently having any
Categories selected overrides the categorization that Multiple-Inboxes will otherwise provide.
I believe I tried one other Inbox type (from among Important first, unread first, etc) and the Multiple-Inboxes categorization would not display. Whether there is some other Inbox type that would work I do not know - you'll have to try it out to find out. It would be nice if on the Google Lab page they included this little tid bit of information next to the Multiple-Inboxes lab, but in any case here it is for all you readers.

I realize this is a forum for Windows 7, but I don't know where else to ask this question lol.

Earlier I made a thread about my mom's computer being unable to reinstall Windows 7 after a factory reset. I think I've found a possible fix for this, but I'm not entirely sure.

I'm currently in the process of installing Windows 10 on my own computer via the Windows Creation Tool, and I noticed that it gave me the option to not only install W10 on my own computer, but another's through a Flash Drive as well.

So my question: after I've installed Windows 10 on my own computer, would it be possible to also put a copy onto my flash drive to install Windows 10 on my mom's computer as well? And if so, can I bypass the product key requirement to get to the desktop? I've got some code that I used to grab my own product key in order to install Windows 10 for myself, which I can also use to retrieve my mom's product key if I can get to her desktop to open Notepad.

I've never booted a computer via flash drive, so I don't know whether or not I can do this. I don't have her product key, and I can only get it if I can access her desktop (unless there's another way, because the product key on the back of her laptop is too faded to read).

Thanks in advance!

A:Installing Windows 10 on Multiple Devices?

Once you've made an install flash drive (or DVD or iso) from the Microsoft site, you can use it to upgrade any number of qualifying computers (genuine activated Windows 7 SP1) to Windows 10 without needing a serial. It must be the correct edition ie Windows 7 Home Premium needs a Windows 10 Home flash drive. A sneaky upgrade attempt from Home to Pro will appear to work, but won't activate (you will prob be nagged to buy the correct serial sometime in the future).

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10

re : booting from flash - I found that the upgrade didn't work in that scenario. I had to run setup.exe from within Windows 7. If a clean install is your goal, once Windows 10 is installed, you can boot from the install media (flash, DVD etc) and install again, deleting all partitions. You don't need a serial for this, because MS 'remembers' the hardware and activates it accordingly. If you do this, all data and apps are deleted.

Edit - if your mom's computer isn't actually running, you won't be able to upgrade it to W10 for free.

Does anyone know if Windows 8 will intergrate multiple output devices to play at the same time? Windows 7 doesn't do it... which is stupid. Pirates will always find a way to bypass this, but I'm stuck without this important feature!!! This is absolutely CRUCIAL for HTPC (home theatre PC) people and/or DJ's or Music producers / Artists. I also use audio levelers like SRS audio essentials which is considered another audio playback device. This is truly ridiculous that I paid all of this money for Windows 7 and I can't play to 2 sets of speakers at the same time. And if I want to switch to headphones for a second for any particular reason, i have to go through a process... and make it the default device and when I want to go back to watching tv I have to go through the process again...... SO ANNOYING..... it's my computer, I should be able to play to ALLLLLLLL of my devices. That's why I buy all these devices so I can use them all simultaneously. This is so basic. Can you please update Windows 7 with multiple playback on all devices. I don't copyright infringe or rip dvd's to external sources, but even if I was a shady individual, which I'm NOT, I don't need multiple playback device to do this. You're only hurting ME, the consumer that pays for things I use. It's MADDENING. PLEASE UPDATE YOUR PLAYBACK DEVICES TO INCLUDE SIMULTANEOUS OUTPUT PLAYBACK TO ALL DEVICES.... OR AT LEAST SEVERAL... I mean really... for this stage of technology, this is totally ridiculous.

So my household needs to upgrade internet. Our internet speeds are slow (3mbps) and my mom works at home with various computer programs as she processes documents and claims. She cannot deal with the lag in her internet speed caused by my brother playing his new xbox one (which I've heard takes up the internet like no other) and me browsing the net all at once.

I'm asking because I don't know about internet speeds, our current plan in our area is the best one (I know 3mbps is not alot) but apparently that is the highest service AT&T U-verse provides.

So I'm wondering if anyone knows what would be a good speed for internet considering all of this, it know this isn't exactly a computer problem but I wouldn't know where else to ask.

Thank you for your help!

No problem, this is the right section to ask in.

Now I'm a bit confused as to whether your potential Internet speed would be 3Mbps or 5Mbps (conflicting information in title and post). Either way, you're right that that isn't very much bandwidth. Your mom should be able to do her computer work assuming the file transfers she performs involve smaller Word, PDF, and text documents. The primary factors here will be what you do while web browsing, and the Xbox One connection.

You likely won't be able to play Xbox and stream video well simultaneously - that isn't even taking into account possible file transfers of your mom's.

I'm not sure where you live, but most developed areas in the United States have Internet speeds much higher than this. I recommend doing some research online to find out if this truly is your only option. With modern Internet content, I would say ~10Mbps is a good minimum recommendation for a pleasant browsing experience.

If you cannot find/get an Internet connection with increased bandwidth, then you all may need to dedicate times for certain activities on the Internet.

You have both Norton Internet Security and AVG installed. Please remove one or the other and see if your system is then stable.
AVG Remover

Norton Removal ToolHaving two security programs that accomplish the same tasks can cause conflicts/freezes/hangs/crashes/etc. due to them using the same system resources simultaneously. If you had tried to remove one prior to installing the other, it may be that remnants remain and you should contact support for that product to get it properly removed now.

Hi,

I've read through a could of threads but have yet to find any answers for my problem. Basically my internet runs fine when a device is directly connected to my modem. However, when running through a router I get 2-10 second disconnects at random intervals on all devices hooked up to the router, be it wired or wireless. I've already tired three different router, all different brands, among other various things like updating/switch firmware and changing the router over to a new wall socket with no luck. I had my service provider come out and switch the modem, but that didn't help any. Any help would be appreciated.

A:Internet cutting out on multiple devices.

what cable is between the router and modem - has this been changed ?
you mention "wall socket"
As you have made a lot of changes to the modem and to the router(s) - i can only think of cable

Before making each connection , do a powercycle - see how below

connect with a small cable between the modem and PC - and that works fine
then with a 2nd cable - do the same
now you have two cables that you know work on the modem
Also while in that configuration post an ipconfig /all - see how below

then using the same cables - connect from the modem to the router
and using the known cable connect the PC to the router
Now test again and see if this time it works
ipconfig /all

We would like to see the results from an ipconfig /all - post back the results in a reply here.

If you cannot access the internet with this PC, then you will need to paste the results into something like notepad and then copy onto a machine that can access the internet and post the results in a reply here.
Save the file to a USB flash drive or other removable media. Plug it into the working computer with internet access and copy the file and paste here.

If you do not have another PC - do you have a phone connected to the internet - can you photograph the result and post the image in a reply
Note: you will see entries named Tunnel adapter Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface: we dont need to see that information - JUST the information above those entries
