A: Help: BSOD with BlueScreen log - USB BUGCODE

Open device manager. Are there any yellow or red symbols?

Hi,

I've encountered the dreaded bluescreen three times this week.

- It always occurs whenever I attempt to shut down.
- I attempted system restore.
- I've done my research with this bluescreen/bugcode usb driver and one of the things I tried was to go into device manager and uninstall universal serial bus controllers. I did this and the windows update would automatically reinstall them?
- I uninstalled SP2 and all the Microsoft Visual C... I now have 3.5 SP1 and KB2467175/KB2467174.
- I've used Ccleaner and Hijackthis to delete/repair whatever registry bugs there were.

Last but not least, here are the specs from the last crash...

Hello,

Go to Control Panel -> Device Manager -> Universal Serial Bus Controllers.

Are any of them with a red X, or a yellow sign?

Greetings all. I NEED HELP! This has been driving me crazy for months now. It seems I get a Bugcode USB BSOD error intermittently. Sometimes it happens after I open the lid on my laptop (not in sleep mode or hibernating.) Sometimes it just happens out of the blue (sorry, no pun intended.)

Windows 7 Home x64 OEM
No SP1 installed
All other updates installed

Toshiba Portege R705 with 4 gig RAM

PLEASE HELP! I'm desperate.

Hello, you called it correctly, usb issue. Go to device manager , you can see it in Control Panel, open it up and update the Hub Usb driver. Your mini dump showed it has failed.

Dear Anyone!

My ISP's Talk-Talk, but they're calling this 'problem solved', so I'm hoping you can tell me which way to go on this one (and probably what to do when I get there....!!)

Did have a Speedtouch 330 modem but it stopped synching. MicroScope told me my computer was fine, reinstalled the Speedtouch drivers, no joy. So they gave me a nice, new, FAST Huawei EchoLife HG532. Now this works like a dream as long as I'm not doing anything that makes it 'busy', by which I mean if I'm just browsing text sites like this, or E-mails, no probs. If I start doing anything like streaming, I keep getting BSODS saying Bugcode USB. I haven't put the number because that changes, I'll append it if it comes in useful as an error range check or similar but it's different every time.

Now I've read that it could be a driver issue but I've checked Event Viewer and all seems happy there. And I've looked in USB ports under Device Manager and none of them have little yellow question marks or exclamation marks. I've got the beastie plugged into a powered hub but I'm STILL wondering if it's leeching too much power from the system when it's 'busy' - streaming video or streaming audio. That's the time it's most likely to hit the Bugcode BSOD - when it's streaming.

Specs. I don't wear any - oops, not that kind! Windows XP SP3, Gigabyte motherboard (that's the manufa... Read more

I've been dealing with an intermittent BSOD problem since I got my new laptop. I had to have a tech person come to my house twice already to replace a bad screen (and motherboard the second time). My only option now would be to ship the computer to Dell for repair, and I would prefer to avoid that if at all possible. I've attached the requested files in the FAQ thread.

The error I get on my BSOD is Bugcode USB Driver, and it happens whether I have anything plugged into the USB ports or not. It happens at completely random times. Troubleshooting steps I have tried: Updated all drivers I could find, uninstalled and reinstalled USB. I'm running Home Premium 64bit, OEM, original install, and my computer is about 4 months old.

If anyone has any suggestions, I would really appreciate hearing them!

Might be as simple as your Avast.

I notice your avast which is often at least a contributing cause of BSOD'S . Please remove and replace your Avast with Microsoft Security Essentials AT LEAST TO TEST

Hopefully I have attached everything, please let me know if you need more.

In simple terms, I struggle to switch my laptop on. Generally it takes around 15 minutes to get to desktop going via a blue screen and windows 8 auto repair on start up. Key points:

- Never boots straight to desktop. First screen is always a choice of repair and refresh options in booting up. All of which apparently fail.

- Sometimes it takes a few repairs and restarts but generally around 15 minutes before it launches into the desktop which is no guarantee that it doesn't shut down once it arrives.

- USB BUGCODE ERROR is given by the crash report.

- Once all is working the laptop will have no real problems and can be used fully until you switch it on for the next use.

- Same issue happened in Windows 8, but Windows 8.1 seems to have taken the 'repair' stage a bit longer.

Any help would be much appreciated as this is very annoying, as 15 minutes is an average for booting to a successful desktop.

Regards

Jimbob

I believe the fourth parameter is a pointer to the USB_ENDPOINT_DESCRIPTOR data structure, which doesn't seem to display at all within WinDbg. The !devext extension isn't supported anymore for USB buses. I'm not entirely sure if the USB_CONTROLLER_INFORMATION_0 data structure is the correct one, but it seems to also be having symbol problems.

The third parameter is the PCI Vendor ID code, and is split into two parts: 8086 (VenID) and 1e26 (DevID), the Vendor ID points to Intel. Using the DevID and checking your MSINFO32 file, we can see that the driver belonging to your Intel(R) 7 Series/C216 Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller, is causing problems.

A:BSOD - USB Bugcode Problem

FE STOP error, courtesy of www.aumha.org: 0x000000FE: BUGCODE_USB_DRIVERUsually indicates a USB driver problem. Make sure, though, that you have the latest Windows service pack installed.I suggest going to Device Manager (Start/Run...type devmgmt.msc and hit Enter) and uninstalling the USB controllers...and then rebooting to let them reinstall...after you've updated the system for critical updates.Louis

A:USB BUGCODE DRIVER...BSOD....Please help...

First, Unfortunately, the Windows Debugging Tools aren't able to access symbols for your operating system files (in particular your Microsoft USB drivers) from the Microsoft Symbol Server - so that makes debugging them difficult if not impossible.

Please do the following (this will not affect the analysis of the current files - but it may help later files that are acquired):
- activate/validate the Windows installation at Genuine Microsoft Software
- run sfc.exe /scannow to replace any problem files
- open a support incident with Microsoft to see if they can fix the missing symbols issue ( Windows 7 Solution Center )
- If that doesn't fix it, then wipe the hard drive and reinstall Windows
- don't use "leaked"/torrent builds

Because of the above issues, there's not much info in the dump files. But there is one suspect driver and it's associated with a phone (qcfilterhp.sys Tue Mar 18 20:11:27 2008)

I would remove the phone software and ensure that the above driver isn't loading.
Then see if you have further BSOD's.

Hello Robert and welcome to Seven Forums,

I would first remove AVG including Identity Protection. AVG is a known cause of BSOD and same as third-party anti-virus. Use this removal when done to clean up the left overs: AVG - Download tools

Use Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) as replacement: http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

Remove CD virtualization software such as Daemon Tools/Alcohol 120%. They use a file sptd.sys, found in your dump which is notorious for causing BSOD. Use this SPTD uninstaller when done: DuplexSecure - Downloads
Select Uninstall, DO NOT SELECT RE-INSTALL.

Use MagicDisc is an alternative: Freeware MagicISO Virtual CD/DVD-ROM(MagicDisc) Overview

Let us know if you need help or want to ask a question.

You have both Norton Internet Security and AVG installed. Please remove one or the other and see if your system is then stable.

Hi,

My laptop has been randomly crashing lately with a BSOD, Bugcode USB Driver. I'm running windows 7 home premium 64 bit.

I've also noticed a message randomly pop up in the taskbar saying something about a USB device has stopped working, even though there are no USB devices connected to my laptop at all. Also, if I adjust the angle of the laptop screen, I sometimes get the 'ba dum' sound windows makes when a device has been plugged in or out. I am thinking that the integrated webcam is somehow connecting and disconnecting when I move the screen. That may be completely unrelated, but am mentioning it just in case.

Any suggestions appreciated

Hi,
So I have been have some issues for a while now and have not been able to do much on my own to solve them. Problem seems to occur when my wireless adapter (TL-WN722N) randomly stops working resulting in:
1. Try to reboot - hangs on windows shut down, eventually a BSOD
2. Try to disable/re-enable in Device Manager. Device Manager stops responding. See #1
3. Try to uninstall/reinstall in Device Manager. Process hangs, eventual BSOD.

I have tried old and new drivers with the same results. I have also tried disabling the power saving feature in Device Manager.

The second issue is on bootup, randomly hangs at windows startup. I have to reboot from there and then the RAID controller indicates my RAID needs to be verified. Once into Windows intel rapid storage verifies the RAID and all seems fine. Usually if I shut down prior to the adapter failing everything ends up fine.

Please see the attached dump file per the BSOD post instructions. System info below:

A:BSOD - USB Driver Bugcode + Misc. Boot Issues

Try updating your mouse and keyboard drivers as well as any software associated with them.

Run an sfc/scannow command in an elevated command prompt. If errors are found, run it twice more with each scan followed by a reboot.
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

You have AVG installed, is that correct? At least to test, uninstall it and install MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials) instead.
Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows

The following drivers need to be updated:

Code:
ALSysIO64.sys Mon Apr 20 05:41:04 2009
GEARAspiWDM.sys Mon May 18 22:17:04 2009
LHidFilt.Sys Thu Jun 18 02:49:39 2009
LMouFilt.Sys Thu Jun 18 02:49:43 2009
These drivers can be found by searching them in Google and then finding the associated software or driver. Finally, find the latest version of this driver or software and download and install it. Some of the drivers may also be found here (if the driver says 'Windows Update' simply make sure all Windows Updates are installed).

You should also update any other drivers you can think of including graphics, audio, chipset, SSD etc.

Make sure all Windows updates are installed.

Hi, i've had this Asus for about 2 months now and i've experienced 3 BSOD's. They are random and i almost kinda think they happen if i leave the laptop on for a long time, like say; a couple days, but i'm not quite certain.

Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller

Also, to note, the first ever bluscreen reported something bout a DRIVER POWER STATE FAILURE or something similar... The last 2 however have been BUGCODE DRIVER ERROR BSOD's

I've attached the dumpfiles in a zip file... Please i need your help and im woried, because its a new computer and i don't know what could be causing it.
Oh i also have dameon tools installed, and a program called motionjoy that helps me to emulate game controllers on my system when i plug in a gamepad.... I did research on the motionjoy program, and the error that it gives if your pc crashes from it is different from mine so i doubt its that. Please help , the computer is barlely 2 months old

So the title pretty much sums up my problem. It started a few weeks ago where I get that error message whenever shutting down or restarting my comp. I find that if I uninstall the USB drivers I can restart with no problems and then the drivers are re-installed. However, when I shutdown again I have the same problems.

Also, to make things more fun, when the computer attempts to shutdown it takes a really long time and when it finally restarts I get another BSOD with a different message.

I've included some dump files so I appreciate any information.

Good afternoon. I'm using a Dell Latitude D630 with a built-in Dell(Broadcom) 1395 Mini Card being used as its WLAN Adapter. The card is worthless - has no Capture whatsoever. I've attempted installing a Realtek RTL 8188 CUS module that has a 3db antenna hooked to it. I'm currently using a W8.1 Single Language Build 9600 OS . When the Realtek module goes to connect to the Xfinity WIFI target, I get a BSOD Error Bugcode NDIS device. If I even begin to believe that the W8.1 won't recognize the RTL 8188 driver because it's obsolete and I'll need to use the NDISwrapper tool I once used with Linux, I'm gonna scream and continue until my vocal chords are toast. And, if I will need to disconnect the Broadcom Card because of the conflict between two WLAN's on one Network, I WON'T do it and accept defeat. I've already totally disassembled this D630 and it was simply the hardest, most time consuming refurbishment I"ve done in my life. I'm a CET and won't let Dell defeat my purpose. I've learned along the way that you fine folks are the last word on W8.1 Bugs. And, with that in mind, I'll be standing by and patiently await your feedback on how to bypass this impending grief. Goodday to all.

What on earth is this about? I got a blue screen of death when watching a DVD a few minutes ago which gave an error code of wording of USB BUGCODE

Once i restarted the computer it took me to the microsoft site, and says "An unknown error occurred in ADSL USB Modem (glausb.sys)."

MSN error message analysis

Whilst I have chronic broadband connection problems which no-one wants to fix (my line is 5 miles long the furthest they can work here) I've never had this type least of all, when not even being connected to the net and playing a DVD instead.

I can really see AOL being helpful with this or BT who provides the (useless)broadband connection so wondered if anyone had any ideas about this?

Many thanks

A:error message- ADSL USB BUGCODE?!

If it is a rare error you can probably ignore it. But if it is repeating or if you are having modem or connectivity problems generally -- you should look for updated drivers for your USB DSL modem. Perhaps even just removing and reinstalling them would help.

If there is no joy in seeking a solution this way, you might look into getting an ethernet modem instead of a USB one

I guess you install chipset drivers or any other system device drivers which could have overwritten the USB 2.0 drivers. So reinstall the USB 2.0 drivers and it should get solved.

I have just finished removing a virus with the help of the virus forum and was referred to this forum for this ither problem, the computer restarts about 5 to 10 times before it will stay running and lately now and then i get a blue screen that is dumping physical memory to disc, here is the info from event log in device manager event viewer/system/save dump

he computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x000000fe (0x00000005, 0x8a6c70e0, 0x10330035, 0x88aa2b28). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP.
can anybody help

A:Random restarts bugcode blu screen mem dump

Hello cjcharbonnet

The bugcheck does not tell me anything.
Please turn off "Automatic Rebooting" and you will get a blue screen error message. This should give us a bit more information

Right-click My Computer / Properties / Advanced / Startup and Recovery/Settings.
Under System Failure, uncheck the ?Automatically restart? check box
You will then get a BSOD with error message which will help identify the problem.

Please post the message such as
STOP 0x00000000A IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL
and any drivers named ( *****.sys)

You could also try disconnecting all devices and see if it helps.

Hi Guys,

Having a strange problem with a PC I have. It's an HP laptop, Intel i5, 6gb of RAM, etc.

It came with W7 on it, but I wanted 8 so I purchased 8 and installed it. The first time, I installed it over Windows 7 (keeping my files). Everything went fine, ran a windows update, restarted, and after going into HP QuickWeb (This stupid pre-OS software that has internet connectivity, and some other things, one of the most pointless and annoying softwares I've ever encountered), the PC would not boot into windows. No worry, I went into BIOS and disabled the QuickWeb. Still wouldn't load, so I did a refresh, which seemed to get it to go. Did another restart, same issue. So I performed a fresh install. Deleted all partitions, full install from an 8..1 disc. That seemed to work, until it came time to run Windows Updates. When I open Windows Update, it shows up, the computer makes the noise as if a new device has been plugged in, and it goes black screen and restarts to Recovery screen.

I'm stumped. I've done everything I can and still no go. I don't understand what could be causing this issue? The hardware is all fine. Never had an issue with W7. No error codes, just the USB sound and then a restart.

Anyone ever experienced something like this?

A:BSOD without the Bluescreen.. I'll explain

A:How can i reslove the bluescreen (BSOD) on windows xp

Have you tried a system restore to before the error message appeared?Start
All Programs
Accessories
System tools
System Restore
Follow the prompts
It would help if you did the following too:
There is a drop down menu My System in the left pane of this post which gives all the details of my system - if you:

* Access User CP after logging in
* Edit details in the left pane
* Scroll down to Additional Information
* Your Computer
* Fill in similar information (as I have) about your system

For another time, if you do this, it gives the volunteer all your system information to give you the best assistance. To find this basic information

* Right Click on My Computer
* Properties

You will find additional information there to include in the above step by step.

There is other assistance to give, but best to try the above first.

Since Vista, the "Timeout Detection and Recovery" (TDR) components of the OS video subsystem have been capable of doing some truly impressive things to try to recover from issues which would have caused earlier OSs like XP to crash.

I've been getting random BSOD on my computer. It's a new Dell Vostro from March 2012. I'm running Windows 7 64bit that was originally installed. I've never re-installed the OS or installed additional hardware on this computer. I've attached the dump files, would appreciate help getting to the root of the problem! I've seen other website that mention combing through the dump files for hardware that might have caused this problem, but I'm not savvy enough for this. Appreciate your help!

Welcome to SevenForums.

You have done the correct thing by attaching the JCGriff file.

ntoskrnl is a catch-all for everything under the sun. BlueScreen can be, but normally is not, helpful.

I'll refrain from giving some general advice regarding BSODs and let our recognized experts analyze the data you submitted.

We do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

If you are overclocking STOP

You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

I am still having bsod's on my vista pc. It happens at different time when I am doing different things, I can't seem to find a pattern. I thought it was the ram so I replaced them and it worked for a while then started it again untill I unhooked the dvd-rom and it worked great for a few weeks but it is doing it again.

I have an update now I can't even get it to boot up to windows, it locks up after the HP screen which looks funny now it has white dots all over it instead of just the plain blue.

Hello,

I am working on a friend of mines HP Laptop, a G60. It has Windows 7. Recently, he said it has been running extremely slowly, taking at least 5 minutes after the windows boot screen to show the logon screen (It just shows a black screen with a cursor). When it log on, it either BSOD's right away, or after after a few minutes, BSOD's. Now it even just restarts by itself, prompting to boot into safe mode, because windows hasnt shut down properly. I unistalled Norton Internet Security with their tool, that didnt help (norton could not start up and prompted to uninstall and reinstall). I have scanned for virus's and there are none. I ran a registry cleaner and temp files cleaner (Ccleaner), that didnt help either. I have also tried disabling the startup programs in msconfig, to no avail. The Bsod error it is getting is 0x0000007E. That is a very generic error it seems. I do not know what to do at this point.

I havent yet run memtest, but ive removed one RAM module at a time, switching between both to no change.

I did what that the sticky on the forum said to do for BSOD's, but the system could not gather a health report (In safe mode it said couldnt find path). I have the other files though, thay are attatched. Let me know.

Thanks,
Will

Hi, I am getting blue screens bad pool header. It does repeat few times a day, impossible to work. Memtest showed everything is okay, no malware etc. I have also googled and switch minidump (advanced settings) with similar problems, however I am getting it as well.

Didn't try driver verifier because for some users they could not start their computers, so I stopped myself from doing this.

Anyway, I get the following error.

Any suggestions, thank you.

I have had multiple issues with this box from day one, but i was positive i could fix this. After installing Win7Ult SP X64 from my MSDN account I have had numerous BSOD's that come from mainly ntoskrnl.exe Steps i have taken to resolve:MEMtest 86 and 64 for 50 passesRe-seat every card in the machine.set the BIOS to safe defaults (this caused the computers boot manager lose it mind)turned off the page file totally (at the time I had 16 gigs of ram and did not need a page file anyway)Re-installed the OS clean on a clean driveTried installing 2008R2 both core and full install. (Datacenter and enterprise)slamming my head on the keyboard as hard as I humanly can.(this did NOT resolve the issue for the record but wow what a headache) uninstalled the Nvidia drivers and allowed windows to manage the video (helped on another machine i worked on last year)I have recent logs going back months, seems to happen almost every day no regularity.BELOW please find all logs that are current from this install of the OS. Hello,
Have had infrequent and seemingly random Bluescreens over half a year now. One in October then 6th Dec, 29th Dec, 2nd January and yesterday evening. I have posted the report details below and have attached a zip file of my pc as instructed. I have also created a Kernel Dump for next time it crashes. Have also noticed that in my drivers 'Chipset Family PCI express Root Port 3' is missing (I have 1,2 and 4?) I do not recall deleting this but it may help solve the problem! I often update my drivers and have recently installed the latest driver for my Graphics card (pre crash!). In addition to this, system performance seems a little sluggish at points but that may be fatigue (have had the laptop for a year)

Radeon 4870HD

Background info:
Computer is two years old from being built, new motherboard installed as the old one had an "intermittent fault." For a period of two months (until I properly reinstalled Windows on a clean hard drive) I was getting the BlueScreen 'IRQL_not_less_or_equal'.

The problem:
Recently got Skyrim, installed it and played it on the High settings (as was recommended for my graphics card). 20 minutes in - when the dragon lands on the battlement, if some of you are familiar with the game - the game crashed. The screen went black, a small graphical glitch went across, the the moniter stated "Input needed". Accompanied by a high pitch sound through the speakers. I didn't actually see the Blue Screen, but upon rebooting into safe mode, windows indicated there was one. Tried again, on the lowest settings. I lasted a lot longer in the Skyrim world, but eventually, I got the same crash. Then I opened up Borderlands to see if it wasn't Skyrim specific. I got 20 minutes or so into the game, followed once more by the same crash. I never actually saw the Blue Screen. Hello guys. am a newbie to this forum. Recently i have started getting the BSOD problem on my aspire timeline x. i did normal virus scans and nothing was found. after researching more about it i came upon this forum and i hope you guys can help. am a student and cannot afford to send my laptop to repair at acer.

The computer usually crashes when i have many YouTube video loading and MSN messenger running in the background. it has also crashed on random occasions like surfing the net, playing song or even transferring files to my Hdd. The problem kind of started around a point of time where my system could not apply the new windows updates. i tried to do a system restore and it still did not help.

All my drivers are up to date.

Like requested on the other post i have attached the Windows_NT6_BSOD_jcgriff2 folder & the PERFMON HTML file.

Please help me find my way out of this. i have my final year projects to do and if possible give me as detailed instructions on how to deal with this.

THANK YOU !

Oh and BTW my system specs are :

Windows 7
64 bit
i7 core
ATI (HD 5650 graphics 1GB)

Hey all. I'm new here and I've been reading some of the BSOD threads. Some have similar issues as myself, but I haven't seen anyone who's errors did not show up. I get a BSOD everytime I use my PC. I built this in late October, so I really shouldn't be having these issue already. Now before anyone asks, I was getting the BSOD's BEFORE I did any overclocking. Even when I changed it back to default, was still getting the errors. I'm wondering why they're not showing up in the programs used to identify them??
There is currently 3 that is in there, but they are old. 2 of them came from whenever I did my clean install of windows. If anyone has any input, please help Give me some options to try to lock this issue and the BSOD's down. Thanks!

Looks to me as if it involves USB and networking - so I'd have to suspect your "Air card" device.
Please:
- download a fresh copy of the drivers from the service provider's website. Ensure that they are Win7 compatible.
- uninstall the current driver software from your system
- install the freshly downloaded copy and monitor for further problems.

There are numerous drivers dating from 2009 or earlier. Please scan the list below and update those older drivers. The links below the table will show info on where to get updates for those drivers.

You have an old copy protection program that dates from 2006 - please uninstall that. It most likely came from a program installed from a DVD that had a movie on it. If unable to locate it/uninstall it - please post back for a safe way to remove it.
It appears that you also have AVG and McAfee installed - not a good thing!!!

Please uninstall AVG, then do the following to remove McAfee (there is a place to add another antivirus in the instructions) - but I'd like you to do it this way in order to minimize potential problems.

A:When a bluescreen isnt a bluescreen

What software is installed on the computer? Do you have any security software running?

Answer Match 36.54%

My computer has been restarting unexpectedly and displaying a popup on restart that says the system has recovered from a serious error. I click the 'more information' icon and the microsoft website says it's a bluescreen error, but I didn't see the bluescreen.
Additionally, (and probably unrelatedly) Firefox crashes frequently regardless of what website I am on.
I have run Spybot S&D, Malwarebytes, Avira Free, and Windows Defender scans, none show any infection.
Any advice you can give will be greatly appreciated.

I've been having a problem with plugging in a USB Wireless Mouse. I had put one into the 1 of my three USB ports. 2 on the left, one on the right. All other USB ports now are not recognizing this piece of hardware and crash upon them being put in after 30 seconds or so. Anything other than these two mouses works perfectly. The USB ports do not recognize either of my mouse wireless receivers and will cause the laptop to crash upon being put inside any of the ports. Things such as my Laptop Cooling Pad and the jacks/USB for my Turtle Beach X12 headset which I'm using both of these right now without them crashing my laptop. I have also tried deleting the USB Root Hub items in the Device Manager via Control Panel, however on attempt of deleting two certain ones (probably related to my mouses hardware), I get stuck on the 'Uninstalling' screen after right clicking USB Root Hub and 'Uninstall'. After 30 seconds it crashes to a BSOD containing the information posted below in my Minidump file. If anyone has enough time to read AND find a proper solution, it'd mean my entire life because this computer, I can't afford to lose it or anything else inside of it. It has very valuable information on it and if I lose it, I'm done for. So if anyone could help, I'd really appreciate it. Additional problem provided below:

Please help me locate the problem.

I have been getting bluescreen previously and did a test using MEMTEST86+ and found error. So I sent my Laptop to HP Center and they checked the RAM and found that there is no problem with the RAM and Harddisk. So they replaced the motherboard, after that I reformatted my laptop and reinstalled Vista Ultimate x64 SP1 with all latest updates and I checked using MEMTEST86+ again (boot version) and no error found.

Its the third day reinstalled my OS with latest driver and bios, now I am still getting bluescreen. Even the technician at the HP center blamed my Windows previously but I already reformatted my laptop. Why am I still getting bluescreen?

Here I attached all my minidump! It contains 3 minidump. Please help me, I am working everyday and I do not have time to send it over to HP center for checking. I am only free at night where HP center is closed already. I know I can trust the help from this forum.

God Bless!

Hi and welcome to vista forums

well the three dumps ahve different causes. (memory corruption, firefox, and win32.sys) You do however have lots of old drivers so I suspect that you dont have sp2 installed (maybe not even sp1) because the dates are from as far back as 2006.

could you tell us about what version is installed? and what build of vista are you runnning?

thanks

Hi guys, you might remeber me from late last year with a dodgy acer laptop, well now another machine of mine is Bluescreening.....

The PC which is bluescreening is a 3 month old phillips pc, and so far has been brilliant...untill yesterday... i was working on it then bang, Bluescreen. I just let it sit for 50 minutes on the desktop with nothing open and Bang, bluescreen. I have no idea what could be causing this, but this is what i do know:

-> i updated windows defender and Java last night just before the BSOD....i have done several system restores to try and roll back to before they were installed, but the BSOD keep appearing.....
-> I have sat in my windows update 'to be updated section' an upgrade to the .Net framework from january... i have tried to install it, but it always fails for some strange reason, and every time i boot the machine up, on the desktop, an error appears ( will get a screen shot if deemed important!)

This is my machines spec:

-> Intel Quad core Q6600 @ 2.4Ghz
-> 4Gb ram
-> 400Gb HDD
-> 1 Gb Nvidia 9800 GT

Here is a copy of the minidump created on the BSOD:
http://rapidshare.com/files/206171179/Minidump.rar.html

The link will only work 10 times, will re upload if needed!

You were great with my last BSOD problem, if you can help again, it would be fantastic!

Chuggy

As it says in the BSOD dumb files it is a problem with your webcam driver. Go to control panel then go to device manager and find your webcam it should be under universal serial bus or imaging devices, right click on it and click uninstall then restart the computer and it should reinstall the driver. Let me know if it works or not.

It looks like dne2000.sys is to blame. It's a part of your Linksys/Cisco VPN Client (Cisco Systems, Inc)

Beyond that, the Windows Debugging Tools aren't able to access symbols for your operating system files (in particular NTOSKRNL.EXE/NTKRNLMP.EXE/NTKRNLPA.EXE) from the Microsoft Symbol Server - so that makes debugging them difficult if not impossible.

Please do the following:
- activate/validate the Windows installation at Genuine Microsoft Software
- run sfc.exe /scannow to replace any problem files
- If that doesn't fix it, then wipe the hard drive and reinstall Windows
- don't use "leaked"/torrent builds

Hi everyone ,

Since almost a week ago my computer is getting bluescreens. The sound also cracks and when I restart my computer it takes very long to start firefox (and other browsers). Even if I wait ten minutes after rebooting it still takes several minutes and sometimes firefox crashes while starting. Once it?s started everything works fine except for the weird noise.

I have a dell inspiron 6400 laptop with windows XP service pack 7.

The trouble began when I was watching an online video. I got my first bluescreen. When I restarted my computer it said it couldn?t detect the harddrive. When I restarted again everything was fine except the problems I mentioned above.

The bluescreen said IRQ_not_less_or_equal, then tells me the problem could be related to windows update and the first code I get is. 0x0000000d1.

This is the information I get after restarting:

C:\DOCUME~1\Siemen\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER5dc0.dir00\Mini021711-01.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\Siemen\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER5dc0.dir00\sysdata.xml

Update your SevenForums System Specs
User CP (located on the top menu bar) |
Your Profile | Edit System Spec (left-hand column)

To gather info, use Speccy (my favorite) or SIW or System Info

In the System Manufacturer Block, enter:
Manufacturer and Model and
ADD the word laptop, desktop, netbook or tablet.
For example:
Toshiba Satellite L305D notebook.

Provide full windows version info, for example:
MS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit

Use the ?Other Info? block for Optical Reader,
Mouse, touchpad, wifi adapter, speakers, monitor, etc

Scroll down and click on SAVE CHANGES.

You will find that in Speccy, you can select info from the display
using your mouse/touchpad and then paste that info into your specs.

SIW is a marvelous program, but the free version does not offer
this capability.

Because I can not read so fast, what was there, I've been in the internet and I've watched the program 'blue screen view' taken. There I could see then, how late the blue screen appeared and what it is.
But I have very little knowledge of Pc's and wanted to ask you, what are the error messages for.

Once it’s started everything works fine except for the weird noise.

I have a dell inspiron 6400 laptop with windows XP service pack 3.

The trouble began when I was watching an online video. I got my first bluescreen. When I restarted my computer it said it couldn’t detect the harddrive. When I restarted again everything was fine except the problems I mentioned above.

The bluescreen said IRQ_not_less_or_equal, then tells me the problem could be related to windows update and the first code I get is. 0x0000000d1.

This is the information I get after restarting:

C:\DOCUME~1\Siemen\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER5dc0.dir00\Mini021711-01.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\Siemen\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER5dc0.dir00\sysdata.xml
(I couldnt find these files in explorer though)

What were you doing when you received the blue screen? And are you currently getting any more BSODs or is the computer running fine?
