SysFader error when visiting Google Videos

Q: SysFader error when visiting Google Videos

Ok, I'm at wit's end. So I gotta ask for help.
I use IE7 browser and I'm getting the Sysfader error
whenever I visit Google Video, and of course the
browser goes down. This has only started happening,
I guess past six weeks or so. The Sysfader error does not
happen on any other video site, even youTube, just
Google Videos.

I've done all the troubleshooting and searched
everywhere for a solution. So I know the following
info.

- It's got nothing to do with nVidia card thingy.
I got all ATI stuff and a REAL-TEK sound card.

_ Under my system performance, all the scrolling and
fade effects are turned off (not checked) And I thought
that's what the Sysfader thing was, but that's not it.

-I've disabled all the IE7 add-ons except "cookies"
and the "Adobe Shockwave flash Active-x" cause the
videos won't play without it, but all other add-ons
have been disabled to see if that helped.
And restarted the browser and rebooted etc.

So, that's all I could find. And I'm stuck.

Okay, I just made it do it....I went
to Google Video, did a search on "Jordan Maxwell",
videos come up, I click on one, it tries to open up
in a separate window, then the error box pops up:

_____________________________________________________
SysFader: IEXPLORE.EXE - Application Error
The instruction at "0x75c54a27" referenced memory at "0x00000240".
The memory could not be "read". Click OK to terminate the program.
_____________________________________________________

I'm checking my Task Manager now
before I shut the browser down and it says

Physical Memory:
Total- 392664
Available- 110488
System Cache- 140424

so I don't think it's a memory problem.
But the Sysfader never happens except on Google video.
I wonder if it's a MS update problem since it only started
happening in the past few weeks. Didn't see that
searching though. And no new software installations to
associate it with. Google Video used to work
just fine. Any ideas?
thanx cilyPudi

Hello.I've suddenly started receiving "Address Blocked" messages from ESET over the last 24hours. My computer has also suffered from four or five blue screens of death. I suspected it was Malware. I have Malwarebytes installed (which found nothing after searching) but also Super Anti-Spyware which produces a BSOD as soon as I try to execute it. The errors only popup when searching in Google, no other pages.I'm using a PC, Windows 7 Ultimate. I first ran TFC, rebooted, then Malwarebytes, but it found nothing. Please advise on what to do next? Many thanks,Daniel

(not sure if i put this in the correct section sorry)

Im with BT Broadband at the moment, earlier today there was a new update, im guessing for the router, so i downloaded it.

Since then i have been getting the above warning on certain sites i try to enter which i have been on before with no problems (for instance, the BBC website).

Is this just coincidence or did the update do this?
... and if so, does anyone know how i got about un-installing the update?

Thanks.

Hi everyone.

I received a link to a video entitled "Russian Guy touching 1000 Breasts". While the link opened, I closed the window but was watching a YouTube video at the same time. A pop-up came up for installing a YouTube and Flash update for the YouTube player, and I didn't think twice and clicked it assuming it was legitimate. Now I highly doubt it was. Every time I visit any site with Google Chrome the same warning message is displayed concerning the site allinfree.net, no matter what site has been visited. I have attached a sample screenshot as google_warning.jpg.

I searched online and found someone complaining of the same problem: https://community.mcafee.com/message/223287 However, detailed steps were not provided as to how to solve the problem.

I ran scans using Avira Free Antivirus, McAffee Stinger, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, and SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition to try and clean my computer, however the message was still coming up in Chrome.

I came across this site and was following instructions for posting concerning a Malware infection. I was able to get a DDS report however in the middle of scanning using GMER, my computer froze, crashed, and re-started. Now the computer runs extremely slowly, and every time I try to get a GMER log the same events happen. I have attached my DDS log (Attach.txt) and a HijackThis! log (hijackthis_log.txt) for support.

Please let me know how to proceed. Thank you for your time, help, and input .

Hi Folks,

I'm at the end of my technical capability here and need some help. Basically, the title says it all - my browser window crashes intermittantly - the commonality I've noticed between the sites it crashes on is that they have Google ads. I know some virus/spyware can latch onto specific sites, so I try all the tools I can get, with no success in either identifying the problem or correcting it. I used

-Bitdefender
-Ad-aware
-Trendmicro
-Spybot S&D
-ewido

-ccleaner
-xblock
-AVG

A:SysFader.iexplore.exe error

The problem is likely an IE7 Add-on.

Disable all add-ons within IE7. Test and then add one back at a time and test to determine which is causing the problem. For details how see: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/936213

A:Sysfader Error When Pc Shuts Down

Hello rodstar and welcome to the BC HijackThis forum. I don't see any signs of viruses or malware in the log. It is clean. The sysfader.exe file is related to the NVidia Graphics device. The HijackThis forum deals exclusively with virus and malware issues. HijackThis does not have the capability to analyze performance, hardware or application issues. For these types of issues I would suggest posting to the Windows XP Home and Professional forumThe techs in that forum specialize in matters pertaining to the operating system, performance and applications. When posting to any other forum, do not post a HijackThis log or the post will simply be moved back to this forum for infection analysis. That is what HijackThis is used for and that is what we specialize in here in this forum. Also, when posting in any other forum for assistance, give as much detail as possible regarding any issues that are occurring. The more information they have, the better the techs can analyze the issue and make any recommendations for resolving it.Cheers.OT

A:Solved: SysFader error

Try running Internet Explorer without the add-ons.

If it works, click on Tools | Manage Add-ons | Enable or Disable Add-ons and disable one add-on at the time until you find the culprit.

If no luck,

Open your Internet Explorer Options. Select the Advanced tab and click on Reset.

The problem results in an inabilty to access Internet Explorer, My Computer, control panel, outlook express, and most other programs without an error message appearing highlighting the Sysfader message. I am unable to download any programs (as I can't access IE). I dont have hyjack this. I am using my laptop to access this page.

How do I fix this? It's getting really annoying. I assume it is I.E. related.

Thanks a lot

Hi, recently when I enter the start menu and select say 'my computer' icon I get the following error message - "Sysfader: explorer.exe - Application Error" "The instruction at 0x01800065 referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be written. Click on OK to terminate the program." When I click on OK my desktop and tool bar seem to refresh themselves, however, I am still unable to access my computer and other such icon (control panel, etc) in this way which is causing a great deal of frustration!

Does anyone have any answers/solutions?

Kind regards

jonboy

My problem started Friday. A Sysfader: explorer.exe - Application Error appeared. I have run Norton and Ad aware, without too much success, and also PCBugDoctor, which helped a little. The problem results in an inabilty to access my control panel or My Computer without an error message appearing highlighting the Sysfader message. Up until I used PCBugDoctor the only way I could get my desktop back from solid blue was a restart. Now the screen goes blue for a couple of seconds before my normal desktop appears again. I have run Hijack this and the report has been pasted below. The O15 entries I have deleted as they are not trusted sites but these keep appearing after I run HiJack this again. Anyone help? Many thanks.

I went to Google Videos (www.video.google.com), clicked on a video, then watched it all (it was around an hour). Now for me question: I went to the Firefox cache, looked for the biggest file there (220 mg), tried to open it with Google Video Player but it didn't work. I tried to open it with many different types of media players but it didn't work. How can I open it?

Thanks.

On 10/12/11 @ around 10:30pm I tried to play a youtube video and when I played it, it wouldn't buffer and it would replay the same audio over new audio. And the video would get all pixelated and then freeze and skip to a new part of the video and repeat itself. I'm using google chrome and I have adblack Plus. I tried to play a youtube video in internet explorer and it worked fine, no audio issues or video issues. I scanned my computer for virus's using free AVG and Super-Antimalware. Neither of them showed me having any virus's.

I watched youtube earlier today and the videos worked fine. I also downloaded an emulator today (don't get angry at me for saying this- I just want to provide as much info as possible) it was a N64 emulator (project 64) with zelda Majora's mask.

note- whenever I switch to a new youtube video it says an error has occurred .
EDIT: 11:09 I cleared all my cookies and stuff from my browser, went to watch a video and there were no audio replays, and to video skips. Even though it is working fine now could you please tell me what possibly went wrong before!

Thanks so much
Retri11

A:Youtube videos-google chrome

When a criminal has already gone to all the trouble of building an emulator in order to circumvent the copyright laws, it is with even fewer pangs of conscience that he or his cohorts could add any number of malicious components to his rendering. I'd suggest you start by getting rid of the emulator to see if that makes any difference. Then, try a complete anti-malware scan. You might also try uninstalling and reinstalling the Google product.

Hi All,

I have no idea where to put this topic because I have no idea what the heck this thing is\does, but as I'm running Windows XP Home I figured this was where it should go.

I had attempted to restart my PC earlier and it seemed to get stuck in an endless loop of 'program not responding' things. First it gave me one saying that 'SysFader' was not responding. After giving it time to shut its self down I went ahead and clicked the 'End Now' button.

That happened several times in a row, then I started getting the same thing for iexplorer. This too happened several times in a row before switching back over to SysFader. Then it just kept switching back and forth between the two untill I finally gave up and flipped the 'Off' switch.

First off I have no idea what SysFader is AND I didn't have any IE browsers open as I had already shut down the ones that I had had opened.

If anyone has any idea what all of that was caused by I'd sure like to hear about it.

Thanks for any advice.

Wendy

It seems my computer is just falling apart. First my hard drive has gone in my notebook, and now I get this sysfader.exe in my task manager on my pc. I can't click on my search in my start menu, if I do, nothing comes up. And I also can't click on any links in webpages, because if I do, it freezes up and then I have to reboot. I have come across various posts about the sysfader but I'm so confused I don't know what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm about to throw both my computers out the window!! Let me add that I have run Spybot, Adaware, and AVG all updated and nothing has come up!!

Hello computer people of the world. Need your help. Each time I try to open any file or folder, I get an error which says: SysFader: explorer.exe - Application error. The instruction at "0x01d2e065" referenced memory at "0x0000000". The memory could not be "written". Click on OK to terminate the program. Click on Cancel to debug the program.
Either one makes the computer freeze up. I am using Windows XP. I can surf the net, however I am also stuck with HomeSearchAssistant, which I have removed before, but I can't open HJT or anything else with this SysFader error. Help!

hi all!
i've been having intermittent problems with my laptop which has SP2 installed.
when i go to shutdown, if i go to quickly from Start to shutdown then click the shutdown icon in the dialog box...the screen just freezes, not shutting down and 'fading'...so i do ctrl alt del and it says, sysfader not responding.
is it something to do with me going to quickly and not letting the screen actually fade?
any ideas?
i dont mind waiting that 1 second til the screen starts fading, but i'd like to know why it stops responding when i go to quickly...
(its a centrino with a 60G HHD and an 128MB ATI 9700 gfx card...so there really shouldnt be any problems)
thanks for suggestions!

Has anyone heard of a programme called 'Sysfader' and do you know what it does? On a client's computer, I am trying to uninstall a programme, and whenever I try to get into Add/Remove Programmes nothing happens. Opening up Task Manager shows that 'Sysfader is not loading'. I'm not sure if that is the exact wording but it is close.

The client is running XP Home and had installed SP2 recently but I don't know if that is related to this problem or not.

Any help would be appreciated.

What is this file and why does it seem to effect my sound and how come it disappears but is obviously still running?

Part of Windows XP that provides all the so called "cool animation effects".
You can rename it and see if that helps your sound but I doubt it.

My computer is completely messed up. It barely lets me boot up. It is moving much slower than at a snails pace. A while back, when rebooting because my computer froze, I saw an application running called Sysfader. Is this a virus or spyware? Does anyone know how I can get rid of this. Keep in mind, my system is so slow I can't even get on the net now. I did a search for it on my computer but came up with nothing.

A:At wits end with google chrome and facebook videos

Welcome to the Seven Forums.

I was under the impression that Chrome had Flash built in - no need to download anything for it.

Uninstall all versions of Flash that you see in programs and features and then restart the computer.

For 32bit IE, install 32bit Flash - open IE and visit here...
Adobe - Flash Player
...to make sure that you have no versions of Flash showing.
You can then install Flash from links on that page.

Do the same for Firefox - open Firefox and visit that same website.

Sometimes if i pause the video it's gonna take a whole minute to play again.

Hi, I am having a problem with YouTube where none of the videos on the website work with the Google chrome browser. First it was just some of them and now it seems to be all of them that I try I don't even get a flash window to click on, the box is just black where the video is and right clicking on it just gives me the default chrome context menu.

Have been searching forums and this is the things I have tried:
Deleted the cache and all other browsing history in chromes settings (from beginning of time).
Disabled hardware acceleration in flash when I managed to get a video working (when some were still working)
Checked to see if I have the latest flash version, which I do.
Tried reinstalling flash player from the adobe site.
I had adblock plus for chrome installed and thought it may be mistaking videos for ads, so I disabled it at first, then I removed it completely and nope still doesn't play.
Checked to see if the plug-in is enabled by typing about : plugins into chrome, which it is.

My laptop has been crashing regularly and very often for about a month. Happens most of the time when I open a new webpage on chrome, or a video plays in browser - and I get this error displayed: Attempted Execute of NoExecute Memory.

I suppose this is a driver problem - this became a menace ever since I tried updating my video and audio drivers from the HP Website (Using a HP Envy DV6 7245us Laptop). I've tried reinstalling the drivers but it didn't solve the problem.

The laptop is new - bought it in September. Worked fine. Ran virus scans - nothing detected (I use BitDefender).

A:Google Chrome or watching videos - Frequent BSODs

Hi

There seems to be multiple Antivirus softwares installed in your system. Comodo and Bitdefender . Running multiple AV programs is a very bad idea. It will cause issues including BSOD, crashes and in fact will lower the system security.

Please follow the below steps.

1. Uninstall Comodo completely from the system. It's firewall drivers seems to be directly associated with the crashes.

2. Uninstall AMD quickstream software.

Let us know how the system works after the above steps.

Ever since I did a fresh install of Windows 7 (RTM 7600.16385 build), I've been having certain issues with online videos.

Up until installing Windows 7, I was a huge Firefox fan, but a couple of months ago, I decided to give Google Chrome a try, and I'm just loving every minute of it, well except for one single, very annoying, issue/bug. There are times that, for me to watch an online video (say youtube.com, mlb.com, you name it, any flash-based video), I have to wait for the whole video to be fully loaded, to be able to watch it. Let's say I want to watch a youtube.com video, once I click the link, all I see is the black screen with the buffering logo in the middle, up until the video is fully loaded. Now this didn't happen to me with Vista + Firefox.

Is this a Windows 7 problem? or a Google Chrome problem? What should I do?

Please Help.

Specs:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 7750 BE @ Stock
ASUS M3A78-EM (780G chipset)
Corsair XMS2 4GB DDR2 800 Mhz @ stock.
Radeon HD 3200 (780G's onboard GPU), using Catalyst 9.5
Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Google Chrome latest official build
Using Adobe Flash Player's latest build
Using Windows 7's stock drivers for everything except for Video Card, not sure if I need to install the Chipset driver. Should I?

Thanks In advanced.

A:Problem watching online videos with Google Chrome

Does it due the same thing with 7 + Firefox?
If not, it is a Chrome problem.
If so, try actually find the chipset drivers. Vista drivers should work ok.

Working on a HP laptop for a friend and ran Malware Bytes in normal mode with negative results. Ran in safe mode found rootkit.0 access. Removed and rebooted. Everything works fine, then I ask what the original issue was and they said cannot play videos at all. Run updates to IE, Java, etc. Videos in Windows Media play run. Internet videos from You Tube, MSN, etc will not run only a black box. I am stumped. Ran combofix, AdwCleaner, TDSSkiller, Rkill, JRT.
Still not video playback. Also I noticed it still shows having McAfee and AVG 2012 on here but they are not in add/remove programs. If it was my computer I would just wipe and start fresh, but he has tons of pictures and music on here so need to avoid that if all possible.

I want to know how to automatically save Youtube videos to Google Drive.

The Youtube videos are available publicly and not private. I just want to save them to my google drive, without downloading and then uploading them to drive. Also I prefer to save them in highest available quality.

I'm sorry to say that I didn't search on my own for above.

Appreciate if one could help with a way to accomplish the goal.

How can I get out this situation?

Get and run these tools

SpywareBlaster 3.3 http://majorgeeks.com/download2859.html
AdAware SE 1.05 http://www.majorgeeks.com/download506.html
SpyBot S&D 1.3 http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/

DL them (they are free), install them, check each for their
definition updates and then run AdAware and Spybot, fixing anything
they say.

In SpywareBlaster - Always enable all protection after updates
In SpyBot - After an update run immunize

Your version of HJT is Old

http://thespykiller.co.uk/files/hijackthis_sfx.exe - double click the DL file
And let it extract to its default folder C:\Program FIles\HiJackThis, run it from there

When this is over you need to get the critical updates from MS, you don't even have SP1

After doing the above boot and post a new log

Hi everyone~ Im really sorry if I put this topic in the forum, but I wasn't...quite sure how to identify this problem...:/ so i figured general security would be a safe bet. If it's not,- Im sorry! >_<;

Okay, ill make this quick. Today I opened up windows task manager before opening the internet. When I did this, I saw something called SysFader appear in the applications tab. It was only there for a split second, then it dissapeared.

Granted, this did not strike me as okay. I closed the internet, tried it again, and the same thing appeared for a split second and vanished again.

I managed to get a screenshot.
Ive tried googling this, but I havent been able to find anything on it. Ive found *plenty* of information on SysFader.exe, but when I opened up the processes tab to see if it would appear there too as a .exe for a split second, it never appears there. It only appears under the applications tab. Some websites claim it's a virus, others claim it is a program that came with the computer.

Ive run several spyware/virus programs such as windows live one care, spybot search and destroy, Microsoft windows malicious software removal tool, etc etc, and nothing ever finds anything.

My computer has been acting strange lately (running paaainfully slow, certain websites wont load, etc.) so I feel inclined to think this may be a virus. but I dont know. Can someone please help me?

Ok I have seen some forums about the spyfader issue and I want to start out by saying this is NOT sysfader, but in gact spyfader.

With task manager open, if I open a browser, for aabout 3 seconds something pops in that say spyfader. So I YaGooglhoo it and found a few posts that the person is seeing things and it is actually sysfader. So I searched in my registry and did in fact find that little ******* and I took a print screen of it and blew it up to make sure that it was in deed SPYfader.

It is...So I cleared up my registry and things seem good, for a day. I have used every scan out there and i got nothing! So now for 8 days now, every 24 hours I have to remove Spyfader from registry Can someone read my HJT log please.................?

I get this quite often, well not too often but the problem is there and is an annoying one. Sometimes it gives an error from sysfader.exe saying something like "The memory reference from blah blah to blah blah cannot be 'read' "

Does that mean that I have broken ram or something??

I tried looking in event viewer I can see errors like...

Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 7.0.6000.16608, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.1.2600.2180, fault address 0x00018fea.

Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 7.0.6000.16608, faulting module mshtml.dll, version 7.0.6000.16608, fault address 0x0005712b.

Hanging application iexplore.exe, version 7.0.6000.16608, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.

And sometimes IE7 just crashes as I am trying to open a site. Other things still work on my computer but I have to "end task" on the crashing browser...

Broken ram? Dont think its virus...

A:Ie7 Crashing... Sysfader.exe Errors Or Something.

Is XP updated properly? If so, I would try uninstalling/reinstalling or repairing IE 7.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927177http://www.updatexp.com/repair-internet-explorer.htmlLouis

I just noticed this showing as an open application on my windows task manager. I have never noticed it before.

Recently my computer has seemed to be running slower. I was having speed issues a few months ago and dumped AVG for Avira and noticed a huge difference in speed and available resouces but things seem to have slowed again. I attributed that to me adding Spybots Resident Shield as it seems to use quite a few resources but it also catches and removes a lot of stuff so I have left it.

So originally I thought my slowness was due to Resident Shield but now I am wondering if there is a problem related to SysFader.exe.

any help appreciated.

btw is Spybots resident shield something I need as I have the free edition of Avira on all the time and scan with both Spybots and Ad-Aware quite a lot? Would the things it is grabbing on an immediate/daily basis get caught in my regular maintenance?

A:SysFader.exe Is this a virus or spyware

Upon researching, sysfader.exe is a process belonging to the NVidia Graphics device range and is bundled alongside these products.

Just recently my computer (Toshiba Satellite A85 Windows XP) started giving me sound problems. With certain programs I get nothing but hissy static.

Plays OK - Computer - wma, wmv, wav and MP3. Internet - Amazon sound samples (both Amazon Music Sampler and Windows media).

Hissy Static - Computer - Mid files and the Windows Sounds on startup and Close down which are wav files and do play OK on Winamp and Media Player). Internet - Napster and the audio portions of Google and You Tube video.

I first noticed this yesterday when I started the computer and heard hissy static on sign in and again sign out.

Thank you for any help.

First of all thanks for your interest in trying to help me.
The problem is i cant load MY DOCUMENTS or MY COMPUTER or many things for that matter. Every time i try i get this message.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Sysfader: explorer.exe - Application Error

The instruction at "0x01980065" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "written".

Click ok to terminate the program

And i have tried both options but still no progress.

The debug option just comes up with an error report to send to microsoft because the debugger failed apparently.

Just as further information i am running XP Home Ed with SP2.

For the past few days, I've been noticing system freezes. I eventually tracked them to sysfader.exe jamming up. I know that Sysfader itself isn't malware, but extensive Googling notes that it acting up often corresponds with spyware or trojans. I've run cwshredder, Spybot, McAfee, and Trend Micro's programs, adjusted a tricky printer file, and have disabled a couple IE7 add-ons; that seems to have done the trick. I want to make sure, though, that my laptop is safe. Thanks very much in advance for any help.Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1Scan saved at 12:07:47 AM, on 11/25/2006Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600)MSIE: Internet Explorer v7.00 (7.00.5730.0011)Running processes:C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\Ati2evxx.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\LEXBCES.EXEC:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\Ati2evxx.exeC:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXEC:\Program Files\Sony\HotKey Utility\HKserv.exeC:\Program Files\Sony\VAIO Power Management\SPMgr.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\ezSP_Px.exeC:\Program Files\McAfee.com\VSO\mcvsshld.exeC:\PROGRA~1\mcafee.com\agent\mcagent.exeC:\P... Hello, I've heard a lot of great things about this forum. I've also been experiencing a lot of problems with my computer over the past few months. Those problems have pretty much left me empty with ideas, so on with my descriptions.

1. Recently I've had error messages pop-up when I shutdown my computer: DDE Window Server and Sysfader. There have been others, but they have been infrequent and I don't recall exactly the names. I've read a few other threads here about them, but not exactly sure if my condition is the same. I use avast! antivirus, SpySweeper, Comodo Personal Firewall, Spyware Blaster, and Ad-Aware. When I run scans of SpySweeper and Ad-Aware, the best they can show me are cookies with a low threat level. I just remove those.

2. I had a problem with reinstalling Flash. After launching the executable it briefly shows a small window that shows a list of files that it's installing (at least I think it's installing them because it's going rather fast) and then the window goes away. I was expecting something more like an "installation complete" screen. My gut tells me this isn't a Flash support issue, but rather something that's on my system that appears to be keeping it from being installed. Thinking SpySweeper, avast! or Comodo might be interfering I shut down the first two and allow all traffic with Comodo. Nothing changes. Any suggestions?

This is enough to give you a giant headache with some things. I would try stopping it and then reboot and see if it helps with installing the programs.

I need some help--I believe my son 12 year old son is visiting inappropriate website while we are at work. At the end of the night I clean out the temporary internet folder to free up space on the computer and last night I was just scan the folder and found all kinds of porn websites!! So I clean it out and when I logged on this evening the sites he normally visits are there but so where other porn sites.

Tell if Im wrong but is it true that every website you visit is recorded in the temp internet folder? and so popups get space there and when those cookies automatically go there is the computer is just left on which is what he is trying to tell me.

So is there another way to find out a list of websites that have been visited.

I really need to get these questions asked.

Thanks

Hi,

I've had a couple nagging problems for months now - I think they are related.

1.) Internet Explorer will not load some times - I have to try again - then it works. This happened a few times a day, not all the time.

2.) When shutting down, I get the sysfader.exe is not responding error and I have to end the process. It will then give me the same error again and maybe again.

I think the two problems are connected because it seems the more times I have to try a second time to open Internet Explorer durring the day, the more sysfader.exe errors I get when shutting down.

Thanks for any help here.

-Ralph

A:Internet Explorer Not Loading & Sysfader Errors on Shutdown

You could be having issues with explorer that are affecting IE. I'm thinking this because sysfader is a desktop enhancement tool for your desktop which is the domain of explorer.

Try disabling any 'special effects' from the desktop bring it down to minimal.

1. Right-click on 'My Computer' and select properties.
2. Click on the advanced tab.
3. Under the 'Performance tab' click 'settings'
4. Under 'Visual Effects' uncheck all options by clicking on 'Adjust for best performance'.

Additionally some settings are found in display properties.
1. Right click on the desktop and select properties.
2. This opens the display properties dialog.
3. Click 'appearence'.
4. Click on 'effects'
5. Remvoe the checkmark beside 'Use the following transistion effect for menus and tooltops:'
6. Click 'ok'.

I was looking at our internet history and there are several sites on there and it seems no one is claiming visiting them. I want to believe that no one has been on these sites but I don't see any other way for them to appear on our internet history without someone viewing the site? Any ideas on how these got on there? Any possible way at all other than viewing the site....please, please help me. My trust and my marriage is potentially on the line here. I am looking for answers and I cannot think of anything, other than the worst. Any viruses or sites that hack into your computer and upload this stuff to your history, I know I'm grasping but I need answers. Please any thoughts at all?
