[SOLVED] Configuration parser Error during and after install

Q: [SOLVED] Configuration parser Error during and after install

I'm getting these two error messages towards the end of the installation of Impulse:
1: Error Parsing
RegASM.exe Configuration Parser error
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework|v2.0.50727\config\machine.config
Parser returned error 0xC00CE556

2: Error Parsing
Impulse.exe Configuration Parser error
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework|v2.0.50727\config\machine.config
Parser returned error 0xC00CE556

I've already tried a clean install and a reinstall of .NET Framework. Please help, this program is essential. Already tried compatibility mode, too, with no effect.

A: [SOLVED] Configuration parser Error during and after install

Addendum: Stardock support says this is not a problem with Impulse itself, and the Microsoft support system hasn't been helpful. Need third-party support; namely, this tech forum.

I attempted to shut down (via hibernate) my computer from the Start button. Nothing happened for quite some time, so I clicked "restart", I waited and still nothing happened. I tried pushing the power button on the tower... no go. I had to leave, so I finally pulled the plug. Now it's giving the following error: After Windows(XP) boots, a little dialogue box appears with a title "Parser Message", and below it an error message reading: Value creation failed " at line 40 I click that 9 times, then a logon screen appears asking for a password. I click okay past the password and the booting completes. Please advise re what I can do to fix this. Thank you!

This wouldn't be so much of a problem if it weren't for large programs I have installed that can only be removed via ARP, but all of a sudden today, I get a popup when I click the icon in the CP. I've googled this problem and it's the first one I haven't been able to find a solution for. Other people have had errors at line 472, because of theme incompatibilities, but I'm using the default Windows XP Theme. Please help.

In general, I have had an infuriating experience with this specific installation of Windows, and that's not related to viruses which I've only had two of. I've tried reinstalling which is impossible, because my computer won't boot from CD or USB I could reinstall to another internal drive, but it can only have one of those. I'm thinking about using another computer to install Ubuntu on a drive and ripping out the other drive and dropping it in instead, but it would be a shame if it didn't work.

Welcome to TSG...

Can you access ARP through the command line?
Press ctrl+alt+del to bring up task manager.
Click file, new task (run), and type appwiz.cpl and click ok.
Is the error message the same when you do that?

I've researched this but it's confusing....I get that message and then "please reinstall Microsoft XML core services 4.0 v.2 or higher"

Can someone tell me EXACTLY the process for installing that stuff? I downloaded the stuff I was told to, but it's a lot of different files, not sure where to put them, or how to install them, etc.

It would be appreciated- thanks!

A:Solved: Nero 9 giving error message: "unable to create XML parser instance"

You need not worry about "where to put them" as any installation routine will automatically put the files in the right place.
You were directed to the wrong place so delete what you downloaded from there.

Now you just need to know where to get what your PC says it needs:

For Microsoft XML Core Services 4.0 SP3 go here: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=15697

Just click the download button to the right of msxml.msi (the first of the three download options).
You'll end up with just one file to deal with.
Double click that file to install.

That should fix the nero error, hopefully.

Hello,
I was messing around with windows customation (download StyleXp) and such things as different boot screens and login screens. But then i realized that i shouldnt be messing with my boot screens so i restored it to the orignal one.

After a few days,it asked me to restart my computer for windows updates to be complete. When i pressed the prestart button, it didnt restart, so i manually shut the power off. Then, when i tried to start my computer up, i can't even log into my account anymore which means i cannot access windows or my desktop. right after the windows xp home boot screen i get the following error:

There is a ok button and whenever i press it the message comes up again.

First time poster, my apologies if there is fault in my etiquette.

I have a Windows theme program installed on my computer with custom Boot Screens and Windows Themes. I foolishly tried to update windows to SP2 while this was installed and active, running themes for XP SP1.

When my computer boots it attempts to enter windows, but does not display. It opens an error dialogue that reads,

Parser Message
Value Creation Failed " at line 30

I believe that this is due to the themes I had running.

So, my questions are:

#1: Is the Parser Error 30 related to Windows Theme errors?
#2: How can I fix this?

A:Parser error 30

Have you tried uninstalling sp2 via safe mode? Can you boot to safe mode?

Hello, I am trying to fix my girlfriends Sony VAIO. Shes running it on XP and according to her; she went to sleep with AIM open and running. I've never actually sat at her computer to know what kind of anti-virus software she has running. But she says when she woke up, her desktop had gone to strictly her wallpaper, as if explorer.exe had crashed and closed whatever programs she had open as well. Anyones normal reaction to this is just restart it. She did so, and before she can boot into windows or even get a chance to log in to her computer an error message pops up.

"Parser Error"

"Value creation failed " at line 903" (That " in the middle of the sentence belongs there)

When I try to boot in safe mode, recovery mode, debug mode, or any other one of the options at boot it doesn't get anywhere except to that error message.

Im assuming she got infected with a trojan, but she has a paper that she had finished and not printed yet on her computer. Anyone have any insight on how to A) Get to a console so I could atleast copy that file off her computer B) How to fix this?

A:Parser Error after reboot.

First of all, getting the file off the system..... If the computer has a floppy drive, download NTFS4DOS (direct download link) from Datapol.de. Boot from this and it will allow you to copy the file to disk. If the file is too large, you may need to get a zip-style program onto the computer which can either compact the file or split it into separate chunks.

Secondly, getting the system working again. I would suggest running an in place upgrade. First of all, do you have an XP CD? Failing that, is there an i386 folder on the hard drive of the machine? If you have the CD, follow these instructions:
Insert the Windows XP CD into your computer's CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive, and then restart your computer.
When the "Press any key to boot from CD" message appears on the screen, press a key to start your computer from the Windows XP CD.
NOTE: You may need to set the boot device priority in the system BIOS to get this to work.
You receive the following message on the Welcome to Setup screen that appears:

Quote:

This portion of the Setup program prepares Microsoft Windows XP to run on your computer:

To setup Windows XP now, press ENTER.

To repair a Windows XP installation using Recovery Console, press R.

To quit Setup without installing Windows XP, press F3.

I currently have Windows 7 on my desktop PC.  It was preinstalled when my PC was purchased and I did not get a backup diskette. I was attempting to upgrade to Windows 10 and began getting  error 0xc00ce556.  I have tried "sfc /scannow

Hi all,

Could someone have a look here and let me know what they think? Spec of PC and Hijack This log is below.

I have two problems, no idea if they are related or not (not my computer). The first is when the pc boots up, it brings up 'parser error, line 173', I have to then alt+tab to get to it, press enter and it goes, but then there are six more after that.

The second problem is that the pc wont shut down or reboot from the start menu or any other program (virus-scan, installing, spyware programs, etc). It asks me what I want to do, shut-down, reboot, etc, but then nothing happens. The only way to do it is hold the button down.

I have done the virus-scan, spyware scans, uninstalling unecessary programs, ran all the tune-up utilities programmes and hijack this. Obviously I have missed something somewhere!

I'd be grateful if anyone could give me a pointer or two to fix this, getting really annoyed now and really dont want to do a full re-install of Windows!!

I am not qualified to read HJT logs, so I will not comment on the possible malware issue.

However, there are a couple things you could try. Try turning off the "Windows Indexing Service"

To disable the indexing service:

1. In the "Start" menu, choose "Run."
2. Type "services.msc" and press Enter.
3. Scroll-down to "Indexing Service" and double-click it.
4. If the service status is "Running", then stop it by pressing the "Stop" button.
5. To make sure this service doesn't run again, under "Startup Type:", choose "Disabled."

If you have "active desktop" turned on, turn it off
And right click the desktop - select "arrange icons by" and if the "lock web items..." is checked, uncheck it!

Tell me if any of these works for you

I keep getting the message on startup 'error parsing win#micros#net#framework#v2.0.50727#config#machine.config

Also, a microsoft message says: sprtcmd.exe-Config.parser error

Background to this:
The computer had been going slow, with only 14g memory left on the C drive. I used Amoei partition assistant to expand the c drive which was successful. Since then I have been getting these messages. I had been trying to get rid of the errors, but don't seem to know what to do.

I have a Dell Inspiron 14
Windows 7
Intel Core 2 Duo ULV Processor
4GB memory; 320G Hard Drive

I hope you can tell me a) how to get rid of this error and b) how to get rid of the 2000 errors which the scan shows I have and I need to fix.

Thank you in anticipation.

Help !!

I had to clean up my system, reapplying SP2. I tried to reinstall Nero 7 using same installation package that worked previously. I get this error:

"the configuration data for this product is corrupt, contact support personnel"

I installed Windows Installer 3.1 and still have this problem. I cleaned out all references to Nero in the registry... no luck.

A:Error 1610 ? Configuration data for this product is corrupt (Nero install)

Start button, Run, regedit

Navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CLASSES\INSTALLER

You need to look under the key Features. By examing each of the keys found here you will eventually find one that very clearly states it is for Nero and state the version.

Nero will have two entries. One under Features, and one under Products. For example, my Nero 7 UltraEdition used these two keys to store its configuration information:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Features\62E2F0A3CB0C8B04495AA6AF7BBA0133

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\62E2F0A3CB0C8B04495AA6AF7BBA0133

Your results are likely different only in the long number string portion at the end.

Delete the key under Features and under Products by right-cliking and choosing delete.

Reboot. Try the installation again.

After a recent Microsoft automatic security update my Outlook 2007 crashed completely and I have had to reinstall it to get it working again and everythings seems fine now except for one thing.
When shutting down outlook I get a meesage window stating that I need MSXML 5.0 to be able to complete the operation and that I should run setup and repair, I've tried that but there is no improvement. I understand MSXML5.0 is bundled with Office 2003 but I dont have that installed on my laptop. What do I need to do to stop this message, or can I install MSXML 5.0 from another source so that whatever wants it can access it and complete it's operation. The other annoying thing about this is that it doesn't happen everytime I shut down outlook, it is quite intermittent.
I have exactly the same setup on my PC and and that doesn't have MSXML 5.0 either and it works perfectly well.
I've also disabled automatic updates altogether now.
Has anyone got any suggestions how to rectify this please.

I have a laptop that on my wireless school network would connect fine and automatically. The network is a guest network so it is unsecured. I recently had to reinstall the operating system on my laptop to fix several access rights errors and others (reinstalled Vista). After the reinstall I am having a lot of trouble accessing the internet on the school network. The network and sharing chart will occasionally show that I'm connected to the public network and it will also go all the way through to internet access but my pages wont load and I don't have connection (I use google chrome as my browser but thats not the issue).

I've tried:

-Pinging common websites, it comes back and tells me that I have entered the name wrong which is odd.
-Restarting my computer
-Restarting my laptops wireless adapter
-Checked wireless connections at my house and at other network in my computer engineering class, all of which give me full access to the internet.
-Check DNS information I get a DNS error from doing a diagnosis(this I may not have done right so more information would be great). The diagnosis says I can't connect to www.microsoft.com common dns server
-When it says I have internet and I go to a page I get a error about not being able to resolve the server

Hello all,

I was wondering if there was any way to solve the Dell Plug & Play Configuration Error on startup. I've read that it has to do with the IRQ, the CMOS battery or maybe even a bad motherboard.

I've got a monitor/color problem. It's tinted green and it's dull. Could this be a symptom?

I'm pretty tech savvy but I don't know much about editing the BIOS.

Does anyone know if this can be fixed? I'm going to reformat the HD anyways. Do you think that will help?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Windows 7 x64 system installed last week. All has gone well until a while ago...Adobe Acrobat downloaded an update and installed it, then asked to restart the machine.

At restart Windows quit and offered to restart normally or to repair itself. I let it try to repair itself, but it repeatedly failed, with the error:

*Boot configuration is corrupt.
Result: Failed. Error code=0x490*

In addition, I noticed that windows apparently is not finding the boot drive...looking at the repair log I saw:

System Disk=\Device\Harddisk\Windows directory-\\?\GLOBAL ROOT\Device\Harddisk1\Partition2\Windows

Windows appears to be looking at the wrong disk...it's installed on a new drive with only one partition. Using the Command Prompt option in the repair window, I could not access the *real* drive "C" (Drive 0), only Drive 1, which has two partitions for D and E.

Hiren's Boot CD running NTFS4DOS does not see drive 0 at all and also shows Drive 1, Partition 1 as drive C. Hiren's mini-WinXP shows a drive C designated as "System Reserved" - and shows Drive 1 as drives D and E on its partitions 1 and 2 respectively.

Mini-WinXP shows the otherwise elusive disk 0 as disk F.

I could sure use some ideas for a fix...I didn't have many to begin with and by now I'm down to none! Thanks in advance, if anyone can help.

Hi everyone,

I am really new and not technically savvy like most of you seem to be!

I actually tried upgrading my iphone and that lead to having to upgrade itunes and that returned a side by side configuration error which I have spent hours trying to google and resolve - with no success. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated! I'm not sure what info you need or even where to start anymore. Thanks in advance.

Hello megang,

My daughter's name is Megan Grace (MeganG) - you're not her are you?

Try running the System File Checker (SFC) - follow Option 2 of this SevenForums tutorial and attach your results (see option three to "shrink" the results) when you next post. You might have to run SFC a few times to completely resolve the SxS issues.

I just resolved an issue I had with the wireless connectivity of my Acer notebook computer and now I am getting strange error messages. When I try (not every instance) to open device manager I will get the message "Failed to open empty document." From there I will occasionally get "Parser" messages that say "Value creation failed at line 843" or "line 422." I read what I could find about these messages and it points to MMC as the cause. How do I go about fixing this annoying problem if anyone knows?

I'm not going to upgrade RAM at this point.
I read somewhere that 32bit is good enough for 4GB. Is that correct?

I will use it for browsing, Games ( not heavy), Multimedia, Photoshop (not a photographer, so not professionally).

We are running Windows XP and get an error code upon booting up that says, "Setup error encountered during installation - Error code 000D". I normally go to the web to find assistance, but can't seem to find an answer this time. Most ask if I have a file called "Creator" or Roxio products installed on the computer. I have searched for these files, but haven't found any. I do have a SONIC program. And I do have Creative MediaSource, but I don't think these are the same. Any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This problem has been frustrating me for several days now, and i'm in need of some help.

I'm attempting to dual boot Windows7x64 7100 with the Vistax64 i currently have installed on my Acer Aspire 5100. I have created a new simple volume partition of 16GB on my drive and have attempted to do a clean install on this drive using the Windows 7 iso DVD I made.

The files are all extracted, updates are installed and everything runs smoothly until after the system has restarted during the installation, launching Windows 7 where it attempts to "finalize" or "complete" installation. The progress bar gradually makes its way towards completion when all of a sudden it tells me that

"Windows could not update the computer's boot configuration. Installation cannot proceed."

I have read many forums offering advice on this error with no success for my problem. I have attempted the registry fix with PartMgr, which didn't need to be fixed in the first place and have also attempted installation with Norton Antivirus uninstalled. Each with no success. If anyone has any advice on how I can get this dual boot to work, it would be much appreciated.

Hello Guys I need the experience of some of you relating to the installation of Windows 7 on a GPT partition.
My Boss  gave me a Dell Precision T5810 workstation, and for all I know it came with a factory configuration with three disks 2TB configured in RAID 5, but without Operating System.
He asked me to install Windows 7 and so I tried it but still did not succeed.  On initial installation I provided the RAID controller driver but after that  I am not allowed to do anything on the disk partition.
What I find is the following partitions:
Disk 1 Part 1 ESP 500M
Disk 1 Part 2 DIAGS 40GB
Disk 1 Part 3 OS 2 GB
Disk 1 Part 4 UNALLOCATED SPACE 3700 gb
As mentioned on any of the four partitions i can't do anything  even eliminate them,  and I get this error:
Windows can not be installed to the this. The selected disk is of the GPT Partions.
Now my doubt is Windows 7 can not be installed on GPT partitions and I have to convert force into MBR?
The Four partitions found in your opinion were created when the RAID 5 was configured?
If i have to convert to MBR i can delete all the partition in order to installa Windows?
Thanks for the GIOvanni

Here is my configuration. There is nothing on it right now, its brand new only has a few mp3's. Should I install Service Pack 2? I think its good, but I would like some expert advice. Unfortunately, I believe I'll need to do one of the above to get everything back to normal. A partial list of some of the recent changes made to my laptop include installing numerous MS updates, WMP11, all updated drivers...and uninstalling many unused applications. Some of these were later reinstalled and updated, too many to list. The main problem relates to no audio from the CD/DVD now, or from WMP 10 or 11, though SonicStage plays audio fine. I also get error msgs on boot up, related to Realtek HD Audio, that state:RTHDCPL.EXE ...Application failed to initialize (0xc00000033)ALCWZRD.EXE...Application failed to initialize (0xc00000033)ALCMTR.EXE...Application failed to initialize (0xc00000033)I've tried rolling back the driver, uninstalling the driver, etc. Device indicates "it's working properly," yet clearly something is amiss. I've never been alerted that I was missing key system drivers, or that some service needed to be enabled, etc., yet wonder if Registry Mechanic (which I've used a few times in many months) may've screwed something up. I've tried a long list of fixes over about a week, including contacting Sony Support, which was of little help: they simply said to use Last Known Good Config (LKGC) or pick a Restore Point. Swell.(1) As I understand it, LKGC doesn't fix missing or corrupted files, drivers, etc., and don't think one gets to choose that "LKGC" either. It's probably whatever the syste... Read more

(2) Viewing Restore Point choices, I find it doesn't go back beyond Oct. 10, 2007-- three days ago. Restoring to the 10th would NOT correct the problem, and why there are points further back in time is a mystery to me. I turned it off briefly last week, to permanently delete a file I didn't want showing up in a future restore, but it'd been on all the time before that. It won't even let me go back into September, let alone months ago. So, this option appears as useless as tits on a rooster. Hi Everybody,
Hope someone can answer my enquiry,

I have a generic parser lodged in history in IE 7.
If i delete it as soon as i reboot my computer it is back.
If you place the cursor on it shows a certain web page that i have not visited.
Web page is;
http://toolbar.live.com/static/sm/03.01.0000.0072/Generic htm

If you try to open it up all i get is a black page in Internet Explorer.
I did allow somebody to use my computer prior to finding this for a short period and as i am rather security conscious was wondering whether it is a threat of some kind and if so how could i remove it

My OS is Vista Home Premium.

Sincerely,

I'll try to make this short even and provide the most information possible at the same time.

I'm running Windows XP with SP2.

I'm trying to install software provided with my Blackberry phone I just got. It is a Desktop Manager program that lets me link my Blackberry to my computer.

When I try to install the program it pops up a window saying that I am missing Microsoft XML Parser 6.0 as shown here:

Well I went to the MS update site to get this file which is a .msi file and I did. The problem is that you have to have a certain installer called MS Installer 3.1 in order to install it. Well I got the installer too but it won't install it or either I don't know how to use it.

There are 4 xml 6.0 files that I can choose from to download. I've tried each one and none will install. Heres a list of the files:

msxml6.msi
msxml6_ia64.msi
msxml6_SDK.msi
msxml6_x64.msi

Back to the installer. The file name is WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86.exe and when I run that it says that the update has been installed. Now when I double click the msxml6.msi file it asks me what program I want to use to run this file. I can't choose the WindowsInstaller program because I don't know where it was installed and it never tells me. This leads me to drag the msxml6.msi file and drop it on to WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86.exe which ends up showing me this on my screen:

Through my research I've concluded that this XML 6.0 parser should already be on... Read more

> %year%%month%%day%_AD.csv

When I opened the file, I noticed that there on the query result is a user named zzstpp and ?zzstpp??
The user zzstpp I can find in ADUC but the user ?zzstpp?? I cannot find. Does ?zzstpp?? really exist? How did logparser come up with this?  How come ADUC cannot find this user?

Problem is this... I installed Photoshop a few days ago and all of a sudden I'm not able to open .eps and .ps files. I can open the same files in any other program that supports those file types. I was able to create and open the files probably ten times after first installing the program. The error message that pops up tells me it can not parse the file and that there is something wrong with the parser module.

Been through Adobe Knowledge Base, Adobe Tech Support (telephone), the office alpha geek, and anyone else I know who knows two operations in Photoshop. I've downloaded 6.0.1 and a new .eps driver. The instructions from the internet for this problem are USELESS because the files they want me to change don't exist (those instructions being to change the size of the clip board).

There is no other option for the file type unless someone knows of another extension that will give me vector quality images in Photoshop..

Sorry if this has been addressed before, but I'm having no luck with what ought to be a simple task.
I'm analyzing RDP traffic and there are errors in the parser.  As a simple example, in RDPESC.opn at line 2013, True is defined as 0 and False is defined as 1.  Clearly wrong.
I edited the file, reopened MA and I get nothing.  Seems that I have to delete the cached assemblies in order to get the .opn to recompile, and I do see a "Recompiling module assembly RDPESC" message in the output pane.
However, I still see the incorrect True/False in a new trace.  So I purposely introduced an error in the .opn file (unterminated string) and I don't see any compiler error messages.
How are the opn files compiled?  Most are quite complex, and I can't imagine that developing a parser requires stopping MA, deleting the cached assemblies, starting MA again, etc. ad nauseum.  Surely the compiler produces error messages.  Something
this simple shouldn't be this difficult, so I must be overlooking something.
Thanks.

hi @ all,

First of all: Maschine is a XP Pro x64

Hardware works fine!

But, well i am having a problem for a while...
First i noticed, that suddenly my Windows update wasn't working anymore. This was kind of anoying but i didn't really care. After a while i found a solution (a dll was unreg) fixed it an was again able to update. In the middle of the update ie crashed (*surprise*).

But it seems it killed the whole msxml-parser with it!

I am not able to run any msc by giving them as arugment to mmc. (I can open it by just running mmc and the adding it as snipplett)
The msc files it self are ok, jugding from the xml-structure viewed with notepad.

Ok, I thought no big deal, just re-reg that dll by hand and i am done. I had to learn, that the dll file was so badly damaged that regsvr wasn't able to find its jumppoints.
**Nice one**

All right: run sfc /scannow and the parser is fixed. Well nope. Didn't work

Well i downloaded a fresh copy of the MSXML 3.0 Sp 5 Parser and installed it. No error during install anything worked fine. But somehow the parser isn't integrated into the system! No App can use it. (I have allready a std-procedure to test it: by trying to run win-update, by viewing a xml-file in ie and by opening the comp-mgr)

But now way. It doesn't matter which version I install, MSXML 4.0, 3.0 DEV-Versions; None of the works. But the "new" files are in the sys32 and SysWOW64 folders and seem to be ok.

Then I tried to make a c... Read more

Hi,

SP1

I'd like to know more about...MS XML Parser 3.0 Service Pack 5 (SP5)
...and exactly what it does or could do for me.

A Search of my computer shows I now have MS XML parser for Java v1,0,9,2.

The reason I ask:
...is because of a program I installed.
The Font on certain pages/windows changes inexplicably and annoyingly
from normal Font to BOLD Font after the program runs for 3-4 hours.
Before 3-4 hours all stays normal.
Also, hovering/moving my cursor over the Bold Font changes it back to normal but
in a few minutes it will return to this odd activity.

A few others in the Program's Forum I visit have also complained about the same
behavior, however, the Forum Moderators/Admins do not have an answer or a solution.

I've been investigating what could be the cause and have come to the subject of the XML Parser
which may or may not have any connection.

What does it do?

Should I download the new version?

Could it have any affect on the font behavior I mentioned?

Thanks for any help,

So yesterday automatic Windows update installed IE10, today I noticed that links in certain applications open in IE10 instead of my configured default browser, which every link from this or any other application used to open in before that update and the reboot that followed the update.
I checked the Default Programs section in the system control panel, expecting maybe Microsoft wanted to get themselves in any more trouble with the EU and changing the default to IE. This was not the case however, all the associations were still pointing to the configured default browser, I noticed however I could not uncheck the defaults already set.
So despite the obvious configuration being correct, links would still open in IE10 even after yet another reboot.
I went ahead and checked the registry associations, and found that http(s) protocol as well as htm(l) filetypes were associated with Internet Explorer with various EditFlags set (presumably to prevent changing them through the user interface, or to ignore the user interface settings).

Seriously Microsoft? Don't you have enough trouble yet?

It does not respond to any of the function keys. I've unplugged all the cards on the motherboard and the CD-ROM and there is no effect, so none of this hardware seems to be causing problems.

I have a Gigabyte 7IXE motherboard with 128 MB DIMM. Windows 2000 Pro install and ran perfected on my old, but now defunct, board.

Thanks.

I need to find the code for a parser written in C/C++. The parser should generate GNU assembly code for simple math equations. They are defined by this CFG.

S --> identifier ( = | += | -= | *= | /= | %= ) S | A
A --> A ( + | - ) M | M
M --> M ( * | / | % ) P | P
P --> identifier | integer | ( S )

I know there are sites out there with different codes, but I don't really know my way around them. I was hoping someone out there could reffer me to one.

Hello friends - I'm in trouble again.

I'm trying to run Windows Update (got the Sasser thing) but am told to install XML Parser (MSXML) 3.0 Service Pack 4 (SP4).

I locate it to this link http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...22-2d4c-4162-8fb8-66bfc12f32b0&DisplayLang=en
I click on it and chose Open. Then I get this error message: "The system cannot open the device or file specified. This may indicate a problem with this package. Error 2755."

So I can't install the service pack, meaning I can't run Windows Update, meaning I can't fix the hole that's allowing Sasser to do evil things to my computer. How do you say in English; caught between a rock and a hard place?

Pleease advice me! I'm really lost here. Many thanks, /swedish_girl

Many of these IDS warnings in router security logs in the last few days, in specifics does anyone know what the different codes mean : i.e what the { S.A.U.P} {F.R.P} {F.A..} and {S.ARUP} that appear as the only differences in the attempts mean?. Hiya

The Microsoft® XML Parser (MSXML) 3.0 SP4 release offers a number of bug fixes and security fixes over the previous MSXML 3.0 SP releases. All MSXML 3.0 releases provide:
Server-safe HTTP access
Complete implementation of XSL Transformations (XSLT) and XML Path Language (XPath)
Changes to the Simple API for XML (SAX2) implementation, including new SAX2 helper classes with even higher conformance with World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standards and the OASIS Test Suite.

Release Notes
MSXML3 SP4 Release Notes

System Requirements
Supported Operating Systems: Windows 2000, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP

To install the MSXML SDK, you must have the Microsoft Windows® Installer 2.0 (MSI 2.0) on your computer. If you are running Windows NT® 4.0, Windows 98, Windows ME or Windows 2000 (RTM, SP1 or SP2) you need to upgrade to MSI 2.0. If you are running Windows 2000 SP3 or higher, Windows XP or Windows Server 2003, you already have MSI 2.0.
Download Windows Installer 2.0 Redistributable for Windows NT 4.0 and 2000 or Windows Installer 2.0 Redistributable for Windows 98, and windows Millennium Edition.
Note:

Windows Server 2003 already has MSXML 3.0 SP4. If you have Windows Server 2003, you do not need to install this release.
All applications using MSXML3 should be closed before you install this SP.

I am a full Linux system.

I have both MS Excel and Libre Office installed. Yes, it could be the programs fighting, but I do not think so as I uninstalled one and reinstalled the other and vice versa, in an attempt to find out which if either was causing the Parser error on incoming and outgoing documents. Problem remains no matter which program I use.

Not new to using Excel. New to parser error on incoming and outgoing .xcl documents. Looked up meaning, deals with formatting of sheet/pages. Reformatted document, still have problem.

I've tried what I know. What do you know that I don't know?

I am doing a fresh reinstall of both apps, might be updates I missed along the way that takes care of this problem. I don't use spreadsheets that often but they are integral to what I do when I need them.

Howdy! I'm Slingblade. Nice to meet you all.

When I got up this morning and tried to open a Word document, the program had a fit. Best way to put it. It was working fine last night. Today, the prog would try to open, then I'd get a Microsoft error report. So I'd send the report, and the prog would try to open again, but I'd get another error report. Everytime I'd send, it would try to open again on its own, over and over.

I chat at the JREF skeptics forum, and they have a link to a parser for HiJack This logs, but the parser said I had HTML code in my log that didn't belong and it couldn't open the file.

Can anyone help me? I think I've been taken over by BHOs and Toolbar pirates. Here is my HJT log, and thanks in advance for any help!

Hey there,

I'm on windows XP

when it comes to installing many new applications (not pirated or anything) I get this error

"C:\filelocation\program.exe

This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."

It has happened both for the new MSN (Im stuck using windows messenger) and Ableton Live 8.03

I've obviously tried reinstalling a whole bunch of times, but no luck. Is my only option here reformat, could it be something viral? Or something more simple (i hope!)

Cheers and thanks a lot

Hi there guys.

One of my applications, Microsoft Flight Simulator X was working normally for awhile until I encountered a problem where it says the application could not start because its side by side configuration is incorrect. I cleaned everything up by doing "sfc /scannow" in Command Prompt and it solved the problem.

However, when I tried to open up Microsoft Flight Simulator for the second time, the error occurred again. Can I please help some advice on how to stop this re-occurring problem?

Thanks,
Jozef

I'm having this issue

TCServer.ext - Configuration Error

Unable to load Jit Compiler (MSCORJIT.DLL)
File may be missing or corrupt
Please check your setup or rerun setup!

Basically when I did a google search I came up with this patch for what everyone says is a memory leak.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

This didn't solve my issue.
The actual issue is that this error comes up as soon as I log into windows and either freezes me straight away or resterts.

- Version of the OS. XP Tablet Edition
- Security Patches - Unknown. I can't use the tablet long enough to check
- If the OS produces an error, either upload a screenshot of the error message (ALT+PrtScrn), or literally quote See above
- Were there recent crashes that could have caused this problem?Unknown
- Did you install new software recently? If this is the case: Which software? (Brand, version, build)Unknown
- Did you do any of the following:
- Run a scan with an updated anti-virus program?No, can't
- Run a scan with an updated anti-Trojan program?No, can't
- Run a scan with an updated root kit detection program? (This only for Windows NT, W2K and newer!)No, can't
- Run anti-spyware scans with at least two freshly updated anti-spyware programs? No, can't
If any of these program found something, provide us with the information on what it/they found. N/A

now when i go to restart it i get this errors:

im not sure what has happened or what I need to do now.
I was reading online and it said run setup but not sure what that meant.

A:0162 configuration error

Run setup probably means run Windows setup. But i think i may know what is wrong. Can you check the hard disk IDE cable, make sure both connections at either end of the cable are securely fixed into their sockets
