How to create m3u file from mp3s in different folders on your computer ?

It seems to only create mp3 playlist only from mp3s in the same folder.

I was interested to create playlist from different folders with different paths
to save to one m3u file, not m3u file in each folder from the mp3s within that folder.

I know I can edit the file so it goes to different paths using notepad, but that would defeat the purpose of this program making it easier to save playlst from diferent mp3s in diffrent folders.

Thanks

Hello

With windows media player, you can have a playlist of streaming radio stations. E.g. You can find say 5 stations on radionomy.com, download the m3u files, open them up in windows media player and create a playlist so that you can flick through them with the next/previous track buttons.

That's all fine, but is there anyway I can do this with a new windows 8 music app? The built-in app doesn't seem to be able to play streaming m3u files. Another app, 'Radyo' can play these files, but doesn't seem to be able to create a playlist of them so you have to manually flick through them yourself.

Anybody any ideas?

Hi guys - every Sunday I do an art show AND I play a huge amount of music that people ALWAYS want to know "what is that playing?" - unbelievable the amount of folks that don't have a Shazam type app...

So it would be wonderful if as the trax played they showed up on a PUBLIC feed so I don't have to 'fiddle' with the phone to do so (I can't remember all...) I just have a sign that sends them somewhere on the web...

Hey guys,

I have playlists setup so that my various MP3 devices can sync with different music.

In the future, I would like to be able to drag a music file (from a windows folder) directly into a certain playlist, AND have it go into the main library, all it once. Is this possible?

Right now, if I try to drag a song into a playlist, it will not let me. The only way I can do it now is by dragging the song into the main library, finding it, and then putting it in the playlist from within the library.

As you may guess, this is quite troublesome if I have many artists I am dragging into the library since I must go through find each one, and then drag. Thanks!

A:Is there a way to drag music files directly to a WMP playlist (and the library)?

You could drag all of your music files into the library one time and leave them there. Then select songs from the library to put into the playlist.

I just installed a new copy of windows xp home editon and created a couple of logical partitions one for my documents and one for my music files. I was able to change the setting for my documents so when you click on my docs it goes to E patition that was easy i did it through properties.
Now my problem is My Music file is in partition F and my docs are in partion E. when I click on my music files it directs me to partion E:. How do I change this to point to partition F.

I guess what I am trying to say is when I click on my start menu and My Music I want it directed to my F partion and not My E partition the my docs are in.\
I hope this helps

A:Change drive letter on My Music File

In XP, MyMusic is a subdirectory of MyDocuments. You could create a new directory on F: and call it MyMusicFiles for example, and put a shortcut to that on your desktop, start menu etc. and remove the items that point to the MyMusic. Then in your music program you just need to use MyMusicFiles for saving.

When in Disc Management it is there ok but with no drive letter. Right click reveals drop down box but everything is Greyed out. The external HD is up and running ok with blue lights, I have even tried 3 separate USB cables but with no joy. I have checked the drivers and they are up to date...... When i first switched it on it did register ok in Computer but since then nothing. It works perfectly on my Apple laptop. I am running Windows 7 Home edition. Any help would be much appreciated. Lee

Has the drive been initialized?

To initialize new disksIn Disk Management, right-click the disk you want to initialize, and then click Initialize Disk.
In the Initialize Disk dialog box, select the disk(s) to initialize. You can select whether to use the master boot record (MBR) or GUID partition table (GPT) partition style.
Note The disk is initialized as a basic disk.

Additional considerations
New disks appear as Not Initialized. Before you can use a disk, you must first initialize it. If you start Disk Management after adding a disk, the Initialize Disk Wizard appears so you can initialize the disk.

Hello. Recently, my iTunes library crashed deleting all my library information and playlists from its file system, yet strangely preserved my music files. Fortunately, however, I used a program called iTunes Exporter to convert my Top Rated playlists which were sorted by order of date added. Right now I still have the .m3u playlist of the songs in the order that they were in the Auto Playlist.

Upon this crash, I have decided to make the jump to Windows Media Player 11. I have transferred all my songs onto WMP 11, and have also transferred the two playlists. There, however, still is a problem remaining. I want to be able to make an Auto Playlist that will automatically add my Top Rated songs and sort them in Descending order of its Date Added, but most importantly, be able to continue on in the Auto Playlist from the list of already sorted 4000+ songs I have in my prior playlist.

Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. I thank you for your time in advance.

Hello,

A little background first.

I have a shortwave radio that is of a new type where a lot of the functions such as filters, etc. is done via software that resides on the PC.

The radio is mfg. by the WINRADIO company.
The model of the radio is a G31 DDC

After playing with the radio, it automatically Saves the frequencies that you have listened to, and puts them into Memory to be able to recall them later.
The file that it creates is called "User Memory"..

I seem to have the User Memory File in the right place, I think, but the "path" to get there seems to be different.

I have one path of:
Libraries/ Documents/ WINRADIO/ G31 DDC/ User Memory

And another path of:
C:/ Users/ Bob/ My Documents/ WINRADIO/ G31 DDC/ User Memory

They both seem to lead to the correct file of User Memory.

a. My main question: Is there really only one file of User Memory, but two different ways or paths to get to it ?

b. What's with Libraries; I've never set that up ? What are they ?

c. Notice that one path has My "Documents", and the other just "Documents".

If anyone could explain this for me, I would be most appreciative.

Much thanks,
Bob

A:Invalid File Paths

Don't use registry cleaners. If you continue to use them, chances are that crashes will be among the least of your problems. Those things are junk, do only harm, and you should be thankful you were even able to reboot. Performance is not improved by using them, they remove needed entries, and they create their own "errors" so that they can "fix" them, making worse errors in the process.

So I've been trying to use system file checker, and encountered a problem where it can't repair a file. I found this page detailing how to manually fix the problem:

Use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows Vista or on Windows 7

I was fine until step 2, where it says

"For example, type takeown /f E:\windows\system32\extremely_simplified_example.dll"

The problem is, my CBS.log file says stuff like:

Cannot repair member file [l:24{12}]"FWPKCLNT.SYS"
Unable to repair \SystemRoot\WinSXS\Manifests\\[l:24{12}]"FWPKCLNT.SYS"

and I don't know how to translate that into a path to use with the takeown command. I searched for that file using explorer and found a dozen different copies, so I'm not sure which one to replace.

Semi-related questions: Can I just replace them all? I'm planning on using a copy of the file from a similar system that works, is that ok?

Thanks!

A:Help understanding CBS.log file paths

Hello Southbound, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Those instructions there are fine, but just a bit vague. OPTION THREE in the tutorial below can help give you only the SFC results to help make it easier to go through.SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
Next, the tutorial below can show you how to extract files from your installation disc to replace any listed files that SFC cannot repair.Extract Files from Windows 7 Installation DVD
Before doing anything, please post back and upload your sfcdetails.txt file to see what all may be wrong, and if it any file that cannot be repaired is worth worrying about.Screenshots and Files - Upload and Post in Seven Forums
To help interrupt what it says to know the path:Cannot repair member file [l:24{12}]"FWPKCLNT.SYS"
Unable to repair \SystemRoot\WinSXS\Manifests\\[l:24{12}]"FWPKCLNT.SYS"
The first line says that SFC cannot repair the FWPKCLNT.SYS file.

The second line is the path of the file. "SystemRoot" is a variable "%SystemRoot%" that is actually just a shortcut for "C:\Windows". This leaves you with the file path as:C:\Windows\WinSXS\Manifests\FWPKCLNT.SYS
Doing a search on the C: drive for the listed FWPKCLNT.SYS file would help give you all of it's locations if needed as well.

Hope this helps for now,
Shawn

I've set up the open office plugin to show the aforementioned files within browser, so the frames work as

At the same time I need to be able to open the folders / files in their native windows environment.
The above configuration doesn't allow that as .doc and .xls links open in the open office environment by default.

They all present the following problem:

I guess this may be a tiny bit off the subject here, but I am attempting this in windows 7.

I have a program file manager tool called 'Directory Opus' that is capable of calling windows external programs and passing them the current directory the file manager is sitting on.

So far so good.

Now I want to call a cygwin (linux/unix emulator for windows) terminal with that file manager.

Checking properties on the cygwin Icon I got the path: C:\cygwin\bin\mintty.exe -i /Cygwin-Terminal.ico -

So it is a path to a command and an argument to that command.

Actually I guess it is 2 arguments to a command since I think '-' in that position means to feed anything on STDIN to the command. At least that would be true in unix shell programming.

So using the Directory opus setup I pass this call:
[email protected]:C:\cygwin\bin\mintty.exe -i /Cygwin-Terminal.ico - <and here add {s}>'

So the call ends up:
[email protected]:C:\cygwin\bin\mintty.exe -i /Cygwin-Terminal.ico - {s}'

That call does just what it is supposed to. It passed the current file absolute address however cygwin terminal does not understand the windows path notation. If I were passing it: C:\subdir\blah\ It would just say 'No such file' Cygwin terminal wants to see /cygdrive/c/subdir/blah Or at least I think that is what is happing.

So to cut to the chase.... I'd like to put a little wrapper to Cygwin terminal in there with the code necessary to convert 'C:\subdir\blah\' to '/cygdrive/c/subdir/blah/'

But, I do not know how ... Read more

I'm having an issue with Windows Media Player for Windows 7.

I imported a bunch of playlists and their associated music files from an XP machine to my new Win7 machine, and some of the music files aren't playing - Media Player simply says that there was "an error" with no further explanation given, but this error only occurs with files with a certain file path.

On my XP machine a large chunk of my music files were located in C:\Documents and Settings\[my name]\My Documents\My Music\[artist name]\[song title] as .wma files. I know that in Win7 the Documents and Settings subdirectory was replaced by Users or something - that's not the real problem, because for all my other music files, the file paths as shown in my WMP playlists will adjust themselves automatically and play the music files correctly no matter where the files are moved. My issue stems from the fact that WMP is not correcting the file paths for the files located in Documents and Settings the way it is for all the other files. There is no way to edit the file paths in WMP, or I would have tried that.

This is not the first time I've moved my XP playlists to a Win7 machine, but on my previous attempts I have had no problem simply copying all my music to one folder and playing them in WMP. So I'm not sure why it's not working this time.

I would prefer to avoid rebuilding all my playlists by hand - I really don't think that should be necessary, since as I said I've moved all my data from an XP to a W... Read more

Hello.

I am currently using Skydrive to synchronize files and folders between my home and office computers. I created an Excel file which has hyperlinks linking to files located under the same folder as the Excel file on the local hard disk.
In the past I was using Excel 2010 and the synching would work fine. I would open the excel file in any of the two computers and when I clicked on the hyperlinks the file stored on the local hard disk would open. Recently I purchased Office 360 and suddenly the paths in the hyperlinks linking to the files were changed from a local relative location I.e. \test.xlsx! to a cloud address I.e. http://d.docs.live.net/afodfldfad/test.xlsx. On top of that even if I click on the hyperlink the file does not open.
Also Skydrive keeps creating copies of the files at random with the name of the computer where it was modified at the end I.e. test-Home-PC.xlsx.

Anybody know the reason for this and a way around it?

Thanks.

In C:\Documents and Settings\User I have 2 folders:

Start Menu
Favorites

The files within the Start Menu folder, as an example, have the path: C:\Documents and Settings\User\Start Menu.

If I rename the Start Menu folder to, say, xxxxStart Menu, and view path of the files in the folder again, the path remains the same C:\Documents and Settings\User\Start Menu instead of what I expected to be C:\Documents and Settings\User\xxxxStart Menu

The same applies for Favorites.

Additionally, I can leave the renamed xxxxStart Menu folder in Documents and Settings\User and create a new folder of the same name (xxxxStart Menu) and it allows me to do this--even though both names are the same!

1) Is this normal?
2) Why is this?
3) Are these some kind of "special" folders that Windows XP treats differently?
4) Why doesn't this happen for other folders like Desktop, Cookies, Local Settings, SendTo, and Application Data?

Thanks.

I have a drive that has a lot of information on it that I need. A user left our company and all of his files are on this drive. I was handed it and asked to build a VM with all his information on it. When I plug the drive in it loads the drivers and shows
up just fine in Computer Management (shown below), but not in Computer. So I think, ok, I'll just add a drive letter but that option is greyed out and won't let me. The disk is initialized and appears to be healthy. I have gone to device manager and made sure
there were no problems there as well. It was also an external drive so I removed it and made it an internal drive on my machine but got the same results. It shows up in BIOS but obviously can't boot off of it since it is not an OS drive.
Deleting/formatting the drive is not an option. Is there a way to get this drive accessible without that? Deleting it is the exact opposite of what I want done here.
Thanks!

A:Change Drive Letter and Paths... greyed out. Can't assign drive letter.

That looks like a mac formatted drive, that's why it wont work on your PC. Try installing Paragon HFS+ for Windows.

Thanks in advance for any help

A:How do I change my music directory

You should make a new folder on your D drive and name it whatever you want. (ex. My Music) Then put you music in that folder as opposed to just leaving it on D: (the root) Then you can RIGHT click the folder and select "send to" and then "to Desktop as a shortcut" Then drag the new shortcut to the START button. Then when you click on My Music, it will go to that new folder with your music in it. That is one of about 1000 ways to do it. Play around a bit.

As anyone who is reading this post know that on the start menu there is an icon 'My Music' that when it is clicked it will link you to the My Music folder. (To its location : My document/My music)

I want to change the location of My Music icon on the start menu.

What I am saying exactly is, I have the hard drive split in 2, one of them for the windows and the other for the files( like music,pictures,softwares.....). I want that when i click on My Music icon on the start menu, it will link me to the folder on the other partition (not that location in my documents).

Could that happen?

Thanks for taking your time reading my post.

A:Change My Music folder Location

Hi ...yes, it can happen, I believe.

You can try this: Right-click the shell folder (My Music) in Windows Explorer, drag the folder to the new location, release the mouse button, and select the Move Here item.

Note: If Windows Explorer complains, then you must use the registry to move the folder location and manually move the contents.

Or...you can do like I do and just ignore the My Music folder (I don't store any files in it) and I just create folders for music files wherever I want them. From there, if I wanted a shortcut, I would just right-click and send one to the desktop.

And there are other ways of doing what you seem to want...the above seems to be the easiest attempt that I could find.

It was easy to do in previous versions of Windows, but not obvious in Win 10.
I just want to add the bitrate column to the template. So all current and any new Music folders are correct automatically.
I don't want to do it manually--painful for many hundreds of folders, and reset doesn't preserve settings.

I have music on many different drives, and often plug in thumb drives or other portable drives.

Being a procrastinator I have of course waited until the last minute to switch from my Win XP system to my Win 7 Home Premium system.

I built the Win 7 system using a 256 GB SSD as the system/program drive and a secondary 500 GB HDD for data, backups, etc. On my XP system I have a ton of documents, pictures and music, all of course in the My Documents folder. Transferring these files to the Win 7 system and putting them in the default My Documents, My Pictures and my Music folders would probably use up about 125 GB of the SSD space which has already been reduced to about 175 GB because of the system files and programs I have installed on the SSD to take advantage of it's speed.

As I understand it, an SSD drive's speed and efficiency decreases if the drive is over 3/4 full so I would like to locate these folders on the secondary HDD. I have researched considerably the best way to do this and I am still confused about the best way to do this.

Here is a link to an older topic in this forum that gives instructions on how to do this but it is also confusing. For instance, he states (in the Option 2 section): Create a New Folder by right clicking or press and hold on a empty space in the main window there, and click/tap on New and Folder. Name the new folder without spaces (ex: "Music" for My Music) for the user folder that you want to move there. BUT, his screenshot show's naming it My Music. Which is correct? In the same topic, he mentions (at the top of the article)... Read more

A:Want to change location of My Documents and My Music to secondary HDD

To be honest the best way would to be just have them on the 2nd HD and Add them to the Library! But I have "Cut" and pasted the "My Music" and "My Pictures" into other drives and that seems to work just fine.

Not smart to post your email addy in a public forum. The SPAM bots love to harvest addresses from posts. If you absolutely need to post it remove the @ symbol and type the word "at" instead.

As for your initial question, you can manage your sounds from the Control Panel under the category "Sounds and Audio Devices." Under "Sounds", Look for the program event you want to change such as "Start Windows" and use the browse button to point to the .WAV file you would like to use instead.

Acer Aspire M1100 AM1100-E1402A

Vista Home Premium 32-bit

It was running OK, but getting a bit old and a bit slow. I upgraded to a W7 desktop, but wanted to keep this one playing around with.

Ran System Recovery 2 or 3 times using the Alt-F10 method. First time, I wanted to avoid loading bloatware so ran msconfig early on, went to Startup to uncheck Acer Launch and stuff like that. Windows Update worked until SP1. Just couldn't get SP1 to install, including when I downloaded it from the web.

Then I ran System Recovery and let the bloatware run. It stalled at 9/11. Again, Windows Update worked until SP1.

Then I tried System Recovery using discs, instead of Alt-F10. It failed for some reason. I have a couple other System Recovery discs from an laptop and an eMachine laptop. I tried them with the same result. Recovery starts, writes over the C drive, then fails.

The message is:
The system registry contains invalid file paths. Installation cannot proceed. This system image was applied without guaranteeing that drive-letter assignments would match across computers.

So now I'm stuck.

I googled the error message, but generally ended up in discussion boards that are over my head. I think I saw some discussion about partition. A:Vista System Recovery failure - "system registry contains invalid file paths" - canno

The vista image extracts to the temporary drive letter D.

If you use a regular installation dvd and MS standard setup.exe, it will fix the os registry letter correctly. (Defaults to the first letter i.e. C as A and B are reserved for floppies )

If you are trying to restore from a factory image, you will have trouble because there is now another os on the machine.

I have a script I use for it.

You could get it to work , but it is a lot of mucking around.

It is just easier to use a Vista install dvd ( not the same as your factory recovery image ), boot it up, and install to your desired partition.

Hey guys!! So I know there are quite a few people who want to change most of the images that Groove Music uses as but not limited too Artist Images, Artist Banners, Live Tiles etc. The process does take a while but If you are hell-bent on changing them, or if you prefer another image it is possible!! Groove music stores all these images locally; I am not talking about Album covers.
Programs you need:
Photoshop CC
CMD
Step 1.
Ensure ?View Hidden Folders? is ticked. To do this open start menu and search for ?Folder Explorer Options?. Once opened click View. Under Hidden Files and folders tick ?Show hidden files, folders, and drives?.
Step 2.
Navigate to this address in explorer: (Where USERNAME is you own)
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.ZuneMusic_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\ImageCache\20
Step 3.
Back up all these files anywhere, such as a separate folder.
Step 3.
Now inside the original folder it will be filled with blank looking files. The easier option is to use advanced renamer to change all the file extensions to jpgs. Here?s a link on how to bulk change extensions using cmd:
Step 4.
Scroll through this list until you find the images you want to change. Open that file in Photoshop and change the image ensuring you don?t change the file name or dimensions and click save.
Step 5. When you have change the file you need to remove the .jpg extension back into file. Do this following step 3. And replace the orginal file in IMAGECACHE/2... Read more

I've been trying to figure out how to delete and change some of the file information for various music tracks. I'm the kind of person who likes everything perfectly organised. As an example of my problem, for some of my album titles, it says the names of the singers instead of the names of the band. (I know! A disaster! ) But it really grinds on me.

I saw an old post on a different forum with the following advice, only the post is over 800 days old and it advised me to start a new thread. I quote the person who responded on the old thread:

'First of all, yes, this in an old old post, BUT it is the #2 thread to pop up on Google when I typed in "how to clear property for contributing artist".
Therefore, for good of all the people in the world that have asked and been told to "Google it", here is the answer.

1.Highlight all the files that you wish to clear any sort of meta data from.
2.Right click and go to properties.
3.Click on the Details tab.
4.At the bottom of the Details tab, there is something that says "Remove Properties and Personal Information. Click on it. Don't worry it won't ruin anything.
5. A new panel will pop up, click on the second bubble option and BAM, you can select all the info that you want to clear for all those 93GB of music that were ruining your MP3 player artist lists or album lists or what ever.'

Hello, I recently changed my operating system from Windows XP 32 bit to XP 64 bit and upon doing so I cannot see any of the file attributes normally associated with my music files such as; Artist, Duration, Bit Rate etc. This is important as my music is now in a completely random order as only the file name is left to determine what my music is. So now im left with 60gb of music files all in a random order differentiated by numbers in front of the songs instead of for instance artist order. However I do see the file type and file size of each file when I hover over a song.

The weird thing is, when I plug my external hard drive which has the same files as my hard drive into a computer running Windows XP 32 bit I can see all of these songs as they should be, artist order with all their associated attributes when you hover over each song with the mouse.

I have tried going into the folder and going to; View, Choose Details to personally make sure the attributes I want displayed are there but they are all ticked and only the two attributes I previously mentioned are displayed.

A:Operating system change causes all music files to not display attributes

Hi EggFtw,

Instead of going View>Choose Details etc, try this:-

In your 'My Music' folder, right click on the word 'Name' (will be just above the title of the first track) and select 'More' at the bottom of the window that opens up. Check the boxes that you would like it to display, and then click 'OK' and you should be good to go.

I need to change a zip file to an epub file. I have heard this can be done, but when I add the .epub after the file name, I notice the file is still actually zip type file when I right click properties. This is causing a problem when I try to open it in in different ebook reader programs.

I tried searching for this but didn't find anything. Apologies if I get my Windows terminology incorrect, I'm using the Japanese version of XP Pro (but am more familiar with English) so system text is in Japanese so I have to translate it by memory from when I last used English Windows or literally translate the Japanese term.

After having to do a repair install, all my file associations were reset. But when I right-click on an affected file and select "Program Opens With" (or go into its Properties then click on "change" under File Associations) and manually search for the program, I can select the program in the Open dialog box but once it's selected and I hit OK, it's not in the list of programs that Windows will allow me to choose for the File Association.

I also tried going into the options of two different programs (IrfanView, Media Player Classic) so I could just have the program change the file associations, but this didn't work either.

Any ideas? Reinstalling the relevant programs might work, but not all programs give you the option of changing their file associations when you install them...

Hey all!

I just wonder, is there a way to actually change all four (4) file attributes from the file properties dialog of a file?

This was possible with Windows 95! Imagine that! Windows 95!...

But it's not possible with Windows 98!
It's not possible with Windows Me (Mistake Edition, *cough*)!
It's not possible with Windows 2000!
It's not possible with Windows XP!
It's not possible with Windows Vista!
And it's not possible with Windows 7!

Why would you want to use the attrib command to change file attributes? Because that's the only thing I know of that allows setting all four attributes. The four attributes being the Read-only, Hidden, Archive, and System.

Is there by any chance a way to add these attribute options to the file properties dialog?...

The dialog may look the same in Windows Vista and Windows 7, but they behave a little bit differently. As you can see from the lower most image, the the time stamps are displayed as "X hours ago" instead of actual time it was created, modified or accessed. It will display time normally as with all previous Windows versions only after 24 hours have passed. I don't like this, but as far as I know it's the only change they have done to the file properties dialog in Windows 7.

Here's a good one for a friend of mine. After uninstalling Netscape (in order to reinstall clean), all of his music files were labelled as unidentified Windows files. When he opened the files and it asked what application to use to open the files, he "accidently" picked the IE icon. Now all of the music files are labeled as Explorer files. How does he go back now and "relabel" the music files as the correct application type, such as Media Player or in his case, Plexor player? Thanks ahead of time!!

I have changed the file types for that folder but everytime I reboot they change back to real audio. I have windows media player as my default. How can I get those files in the music folder to stay with windows media player?

Why do we have different music file types?

A:Why do we have different music file types?

There are as many reasons as there are different types. The best explanation is progress. Most music file types were created as an improvement. Either being better quality or smaller than earlier types, or a combination of the two. Other reasons are that some were created on different platforms like the Amiga and rather than going through the trouble of converting the files to a Windows format, it was easier to create support for those files in programs that were already on the Windows platform. There are many other reasons but those are probably the best reasons and the easiest to explain.

.cda is Audio CD format. Are you trying go get it directly from a CD? IF so, just use Windows Media Player to rip the song from the CD to MP3 or WAV

Hi all,

I have a *.VOB file that was created by a friend of mine. She said she put it together using PowerPoint and an MP3 file. What I want to know is can I take the *.VOB file and somehow extract the music from it to use in another presentation? {The folder that contains the VOB also has BUP and IFO files, but they are tiny in size (12K and 44K). The primary VOB is 172M} If so, what would I need to do this?

Thanks for your help and suggestions....Bubblz

I have a hard drive with an obscene amount of music on it. Most of the folders are multi-level. I need to move all of the folders to the 1st level of the drive. Is there an easy way to do this. I have started the drop and drag process, but this will take days. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Why do you need to do this? Music organizers like Winamp, Media Player and Media Monkey provide an interface that does this for you.

A:Valid Music File

Hello,Can you copy the audio file of the cd using media player or other copying software? If you have the file on your computer, it will get rid off a few complications. regarding the song not being played correctly, you need to set it so that it will play for all slides. click on the picture where you wish to begin adding music. select your music file from the ?select music? button. Music files must be mp3, wave, or windows media files. here is a useful photo story guide. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/d...firststory.mspx

Okay, let me explain the entire situation for you guys:

I downloaded a program that would allow me to download streaming files. The problem is, that after downloading a few of them, it seems as if I'm unable to play them - I can't seem to understand why, though. I tried using every program I have: Winamp, Real Player, Windows Media Player, VLC Media Player (Which usually plays everything), to no avail.

Here's the file I get when I click on the Winamp screen:

Network received: 10424403 bytes
Server: Mp3 ToolBox/v1.0 beta 5
Content-Type: audio/mpeg

So here are my questions:

1.) Any idea why they won't play?

2.) Is there ANYTHING out there that would allow me to play this file?

Would really appreciate some help with this.

Thanks in advance.

I ripped all my music to my music and at first all the folders were organized by artist and album, now all the songs that have two artist are getting a there own folder regardless what album they came from. For instance the Willie Nelson and Friends CD, each song got put into its own folder listed by whoever sang the song with him.

Thanks for your help in advance
