Please uninstall Gigabyte software, it is known for causing bluescreens and uses a few old drivers.

Please change the system language to english, this helps me understanding the files as I can't understand french.

Diagnostic Test

DRIVER VERIFIER

Warning
Please make a backup of your important files and get your rescue media or create one.
Please create a restore point.
Please follow this tutorial to run driver verifier.

Driver verifier stresses your drivers and will crash your pc if any driver fails due to a violation.

Driver verifier should be performed for a max of 48 hours, or when you have a bluescreen, whatever comes first.

If driver verifier has found a violation and you can't get back into windows normally, try to boot into safe mode and reset in safe mode driver verifier, or in the troubleshooting options open command prompt and type verifier /reset.

Note
Your system will act very sluggishly while driver verifier is enabled, this is normal as your drivers will be being subjected to heavy testing in order to make them crash.

Yesterday, during a game I got a BSOD.
I've gotten this BSOD a few times in the past, though this was only 2nd on my fresh OS installation.

I re-installed Win 8.1 64-bit couple months ago and before that I used to get the same 'Kernel Security Check Failure'-BSOD quite frequently.

Mostly it annoys me because it happens for no reason and randomly, instead of when I'm doing something certain.

Tenforms,
I get this BSOD once in a while and I'm not really sure what the problem could be.
This latest BSOD came right after I logged into my computer, before the desktop even showed up. I have had BSOD come up multiple times with the same Kernel Security Check Failure I'm just not sure where to look.

I have attached these files using the TenForms tool.

Thanks for your help.

I'm a noob when it come to games and gameing hardware so I don't know where/if you can find an updated driver for this.
Looks like all the dumps are the same so need to update this somehow or uninstall it and see if the problem goes away.

Hey everyone,

I've been having some problems after doing a clean install of Windows 8. At least once a day now, I get a BSOD with the error message of "Kernel Security Check Failure". Some googling says it seems to be due to drivers but I can't seem to find anything. Perhaps someone could take a look at all of these logs and see if they could give any feedback? Thanks!

A:BSOD & Kernel Security Check Failure

You have 8 hard drives. What is the make/model/wattage and age of your Power Supply?

SSD's were temperamental when they first came out, but their reliability has improved greatly over the last year or two. There are 2 things that MUST be checked on systems with BSOD's and SSD's:

1) That the SSD firmware is the latest available for the SSD
2) That the storage controller drivers on the motherboard are the most recent. They must date from late 2012 or later. This is ALL controllers, not just the one that the SSD is attached to.

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions).

Please un-install the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): [S] DuplexSecure - FAQ [/S] Link broken as of 21 Jul 2012

A:BSOD Kernel Security Check Failure

There are no memory dumps in the uploaded reports. Please do this:

Upload Dump Files:
NOTE: If using a disk cleaning utility, please stop using it while we are troubleshooting your issues.
Please go to C:\Windows\Minidump and zip up the contents of the folder. Then upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.
Left click on the first minidump file.
Hold down the "Shift" key and left click on the last minidump file.
Right click on the blue highlighted area and select "Send to"
Select "Compressed (zipped) folder" and note where the folder is saved.
Upload that .zip file with your next post.

If you have issues with "Access Denied" errors, try copying the files to your desktop and zipping them up from there. If it still won't let you zip them up, post back for further advice.

If you don't have anything in that folder, please check in C:\Windows for a file named MEMORY.DMP. If you find it, zip it up and upload it to a free file hosting service. Then post the link to it in your topic so that we can download it.

Also, search your entire hard drive for files ending in .dmp, .mdmp, and .hdmp. Zip up any that you find and upload them with your next post.

Then, follow the directions here to set your system for Minidumps (much smaller than the MEMORY.DMP file): Set MiniDumpMore info on dump file options here: Overview of memory dump file options for Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista... Read more

I've been getting a BSOD saying Kernel Security Check Failure for quite awhile now and it tends to happen every 2-3 days sometimes less. I'm pretty certain it's happening due to either a Windows update or some driver incompatibility.

kernel security check failure and driver not less or equal are the blue screens im constantly getting. i think it has something to do with my sound in some way, i have used both the g35 headset and the razer cloud 2 version, and both have their own soundcards so its not a headset problem its a hardware problem within my pc i think. sometimes my sound suddenly starts getting choppy i hear a choppy sound a couple of times, while all my other programs loose their sound, and youtube video stops loading etc. then after some time i get the sound back, but more often i have u to unplug and plug in my headset and as i do that my net dissapears. sometimes when i plug my headset back in my connection gets resumed. but manny times when i plug it back in nothing happends and i have to unplug and plug my wirless adapter back in then i get connection, but here is where i get blue screen the most, often when i unplug my wireless adapter i get BSOD, kernel security check failure or driver not less or equal, ive tried formatting my pc twice and both times i still keep getting BSOD, plz help

So Windows 10 updated recently, and since then I've been getting this BSOD randomly. I've checked all my drivers, ran a memtest, did a system file check, disk check, etc, and so far the only odd thing was that some system files were corrupted and could not be restored, according to sfc. I have an NVIDIA graphics card, which was also updated recently, though it was in the last few days, so I don't think that's it. I also have not updated drivers with Driver Booster 3, or any other software like that.

Please remove / disable items from the startup in taskmanager
These programs could interfere with the boot process giving you trouble and increase the boot time.

Please check your manufacturer for every driver update.
Please check your software for updates.
There are many drivers from your manufacturer and installed software not compatible with Windows 10.

Please uninstall everything of Nvidia using Display Driver Uninstaller and install new drivers from Nvidia. Be sure the clean install box is checked and only install the Graphics driver and the PhysX driver.
Please uninstall everything of Intel graphics using Display Driver Uninstaller and install new drivers from Intel. Be sure to ONLY install the drivers using custom/advanced options.

I've had my PC for around four months and about two weeks ago I've started getting kernel security check failure blue screens. It's impossible to do school work. Updated and checked every driver using driver verifier and tested my memory with memtest86. Updated BIOS and even clean installed Windows 10 using their media creation software tool and ISO. DESKTOP-JUME3CU-Tue_02_09_2016_200531_38.zip Also, I've had problems with Windows start menu not opening and requiring me to restart windows explorer through task manager and I've also had what I believe to be memory leaks, as I have 16GB of ram and 100% of it being used at start up with nothing running in the background. If any of that helps.

After having my laptop for about a year (HP Envy) I recently started experiencing the BSOD for the first time in the past 2 weeks. It started about 10 days ago. After repeat occurrences, I thought I should reset my computer to factory state. So i backed up my hard drive to and external drive. Completely reset the computer to factory state. And just got done copying my files from the external drive back to the Laptop. withing 2 hours of BSOD happend.

Now i'm thinking it could be a virus...but I had bitdefender 2014 antivirus with no issues reported and right now I have windows defender scanning. Please help!

A:BSOD - kernel security check failure

Only 9 Windows Updates installed. Most systems have 70 to 140 or more. Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

Don't worry about the specific number, it's just important that you have checked and installed any updates that were available (and didn't experience any errors).

Several Windows Updates failures in the WER section of the MSINFO32 report. If the problems continue, please post over in the http://www.eightforums.com/windows-updates-activation/ for further expert assistance with this issue.

BSOD's that continue after a system wipe are most often hardware problems. Please run these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics. Let us know the results and we can move on from there.

Beyond this, as there was only 1 memory dump in the upload, I have these 4 suggestions:
1. Get ALL available Windows Updates. It may take several trips to get them all
2. Get ALL available, Win8.1 compatible updates from the manufacturer's website.
3. Start with these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics
4. If all of the hardware tests pass, then run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Driver Verifier Settings

Hello,
Yesterday i upgraded my 8.1 to 10. The first time is still smooth but suddenly after i installed all the driver my laptop needs, when i play a song using WMP and turned the 'repeat all' option, my laptop gone to BSOD.

My guess is it's the driver/software problem but i dont know how to find the main problem here.

I tried to read the Minidump file using WinDbg but it needs to download the symbol pack, unfortunately my internet connection is very slow. So, i thought i could find the answer here

My laptop BSOD again after using WMP (playing a song) and Photoshop CS6... BSOD again after that because I Used Photoshop.

Thank you Everyone! Have a Nice day

Hello.

A female friend of mine has a laptop Acer aspire v3 - 772g.
For no sure reason sometimes she gets a BSOD with no error code.
Also, she gets error saying something like 'the integrated graphic card driver had a malfunction and was restored'. (It's not a literal message, because the OS is in Russian). Getting latest driver (since 08/2015) for Intel from the Acer website didn't work because (as the owner says) the OS rerolls it back to a previous one.

Thank you very much in advance.

Here's a dump file. VERA-11_01_2016_174906,10.zip

Welcome to the 10forums for both of you

I would suggest to visit Acer to update or re-install all the drivers available for Windows 10.
Re-installing drivers removes corruption what helps improving system stability.

Hello,

I've build my new PC 10 days ago, works perfectly for me, but sometimes I've got a BSOD when i try to start system. Today I've got another one. I've pushed power button to turn on computer, it seems that all load correctly, but after a while, computer suddenly and completly shut down without any touches. When I try turn on second time, I've got a BSOD - Kernel Security Check Failure, then restart again and problem still going, but I'm tried again - this time system load, but I've seen another problem - Location is not available (C:\Wiindows\System32\Config\systemprofile\Desktop refers to a location that is unavailable). When I've restarted again, all system load perfeclty without any problems and still working perfeclty fine. I'm annoyed what is going wrong with my PC.

PS: PC are unplugged from the power strip overnight. Sometimes when is not unplugged, it seems like system is starting faster. It is does have the effect for this?

Sorry for my english,
Thanks for any help and suggestions!

A:BSOD Kernel Security Check Failure

Win8/8.1 had different shutdown procedures than previous versions of Windows.
Sometimes it'll shut down but leave some of the kernel level stuff in RAM so that the system will start faster.
If you cut the power off completely, then that stuff will be erased by the loss of power and a full shutdown will occur

It should be that the system will boot faster when power is left connected than when it isn't. As such there may be a startup problem. Ask over in the general forums for assistance from the experts.

As for the sequence of crashes that you describe, please do the following:
- open Event Viewer (run eventvwr.msc from the "Run" dialog)
- expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")
- right click on Administrative Events
- select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."
- save the file as Admin.evtx
- zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")
- upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).

Hi there

Recently, I upgraded my laptop from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, but randomly, I get lots of BSODs, either Kernel Security Check Failure or Video TDR Failure igdkmd64.sys . However, these do not happen at the exact same time, ie when I log in, or boot up a certain programme (I think). They just occur out of the blue (no pun intended ).

Any help/advice/fixes would be super helpful, as I am completely lost

Hi brownieee,

Welcome to the 8forums.

I have checked the 3 most recent crashes, they look pretty much like each other.
Everytime the NETIO.sys file was marked which is the Network Input/Output System.
This usually points to the network drivers, but looking a little deeper the Nvidia Video driver is flagged.

Please uninstall everything of Nvidia using Display Driver Uninstaller and install new drivers from your manufacturer.
Please be careful with removing the right drivers as you have switchable GPU's.

I recently installed the A10-7890k apu in my desktop, (I previously had a4 6300 apu in there), and ever since then I keep getting these bsods while I'm idling or doing simple tasks. (doesn't seem to ever crash while I'm playing overwatch) I tried a clean install of the the display drivers, i even tried a fresh windows install twice, and nothing. I did a sfc /scannow, i used the windows memory diagnostics tool, nothing. The memory tests says everything is fine. Anyways, attached is the dump file. Again, thanks guys.

I have been having a lot of blue screens on my laptop lately with kernel security check failure error. BlueScrenView software says it is caused by ntoskrnl.exe.

I am asking this question since I think I ran out of ideas - I have tried scanning windows files with sfc /scannow, Malwarebytes, also cleaned files and registry with CCleaner and updated drivers with Driver Reviver. What I could not do is scan my pc for viruses with Avira - everytime I have tried that, windows crashed.

What else could I try doing?

KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE (139)
A kernel component has corrupted a critical data structure. The corruption could potentially allow a malicious user to gain control of this machine.

The stack reveals that the USB Driver of Windows was involved in the crash since it encountered a page fault which forced it to dispatch an exception and the whole system was brought down to prevent any security implications -

Hi there,

I recently started having a whole bunch of BSOD's with the KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE error.

I had these as I was attempting to use my laptop while I was burning DVDs (I burned about 20 or so over the last 3 days). This error happened maybe 5 or 6 times over those few days. This error happened most times on A/C power but once on battery power.

I have also had this crash occur while using photoshop on battery power (and while burning DVD's).

If using photoshop on battery power, I sometimes get BSOD's with the error DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. And this was often when I wasn't doing anything else on the computer.

I used the tool (as instructed in this forum) to create the required files for posting. I have attached two of them as I believe one may be invalid. The minidump file is fairly large (over 700 MB), so I believe this may be why it isn't attaching correctly...

Some reading I have done on the Internet shows this to potentially be an Nvidia driver/service/something problem. I am planning on uninstalling my graphics drivers + software and then reinstalling them, to see if that fixes the issue...
Any thoughts?

I am in the process of debugging your DUMP files and gathering some information. But, I think I would need some more DUMP files as the problem that one of the DUMP files is pointing towards an error in the hardware. Could you please upload the recent DUMP files other than these?

It is getting late for sleep, will reply tomorrow along with more info

Hi,

I recently purchased a new Dell XPS 8700 and had my first BSOD a few hours after using my computer for the first time. It now happens quite frequently, a few times an hour maybe, and I'm not quite sure what the problem is. I have uploaded the crash dump files and let me know if you need any more details! I never had to deal with such a kind of problem before so I'm not sure what information you would need.

Thank you!

I just updated the BIOS but am still receiving the same BSOD message. All my dump files mention ntoskrnl.exe. Perhaps I may need to reinstall Windows?

Hi everyone,

Since today my friend is being hit with some BSOD's containing the text: "Kernel Security Check Failure"
We have no idea where this all came from, my friend did not download some sketchy, unstable, downloads or something. We did some research and it apparently is an issue with drivers, That gets no bell ringing because his computer was running smoothly about half a year now, with no major changes like an OS upgrade. So we have no idea what?s going on. We have found that it's useful to read some dump files but we have no idea how that works so i thought let's just show the problem at this forum and see if anyone else can help us to at least locate the problem.
Soo.. we found the dump file locator software on this forum and ran it on his computer, and the result you can find as attachments.

Hope someone can help us with this problem. It?s getting quite a hazard, it already happened 3 times this day.

Thanks,
Sebas and Martijn

Hi all,

I am using Windows 8.1 64 bit. I started getting the annoying BSOD of Kernel Security Check Failure since the past couple of days. It happens after my PC is on for a few minutes and will then restart and happen again after a few minutes. I first noticed this when I was browsing the internet. As far as I know, I haven't made any major changes to hardware/software over the past 2-3 days.

I have uploaded the dump files as suggested, by using the DM Log collector Tool created by John (z3r010).

I will be very grateful for any help - as my productivity has plummeted for the past 2 days!

Thank you,
Bob

Every once in a while, there will be a BSOD. It doesn't matter what I do; it's occurred when I was in game, or simply idling. Once it's rebooted, it keep on going back to blue screens and often doesn't even boot. There's been occasions where I wasn't able to boot for 3 days straight. There are also many errors:
Kernel security check failure, memory management, driver irql not less or equal, and system pte misuse.
Thanks in advance! This has been bothering me for a long time. I've tried running memory tests, but nothing so far seems to work :/

Hi,

I have been using windows 8.1 for a while without any problems, but from a few days occasional kernel security check failure started becoming more and more frequent which is pretty annoying. After it crashes it restarts itself and when i login, it immediately crashes and restarts once again. If i login once more after that it takes some time to crash again.

I attached the zip from diagnostic tool, I would really appreciate some help regarding this .

I've tested the memory via Memtest86 for half an hour without any error. I've already tried to uninstall AMD driver by Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) and install the newest one, my creative zxr soundcard driver have just been updated in December, the Logitech g105 keyboard and wireless adapter Asus USB-AC56 driver are also the newest ones on their websites. I've also tried to replace keyboard and mouse by others but seem can not prevent the BSOD. Also, sometimes the wireless adapter just disappear and I have to disable and re-enable in Change adapter settings from Network Connections. Before I had used a D-link DWA 182 Revision C1 wireless adapter which use the same chipset Realtek 8812AU like my current Asus USB-AC56 and get the same BSOD too. I don't overclock my PC at all and has updated my BIOS to the newest one already. Also sfc/scannow my system, chkdsk my drives (1 ssd sandisk extreme ii, 1 samsung 830 evo and my old seagate) and seem no problem so far. The funny thing is when I pluged my wireless apdater into other slots, it caused other BSODs like Driver Power State Failure etc. You can see in the minidump. I'm so desperate right now. Thank in advance for any help or suggestion.

Hello,

Recently I have been experiencing a BSOD in Windows 10 (64 bit) which tends to happen randomly at least once an hour. I can also make it happen by opening up Photoshop and attempting to zoom into an image (though zooming in any other program works fine, my guess is that Photoshop's is GPU accelerated...? (And yes I have the latest Nvidia drivers)).

I tried to do a bit of my own sleuthing around the dumps for a cause before asking for help, and all I kept finding was this:

Code:
Probably caused by : ntkrnlmp.exe ( nt!KiFastFailDispatch+d0 )
But Googling it didn't really bring up any solutions other than suggesting to update drivers, which I did (audio, chipset, Intel Rapid Storage, and networking), all to Windows 10, a few hours ago in an attempt to stop the BSOD.

Anyways I'm sure you guys can do a better job than I did of finding what's up, I appreciate any help! Thanks!

I've recently had three crashes (one today and two yesterday) while watching Gametrailers.com's E3 coverage. I've also had the error while watching Twitch.tv streams. I keep getting blue screens and the last one said Kernel security check failure. I'm not sure if the other failures were with the same error but I would assume they were. The laptop crashes while getting shut down, during several hours of use and today when I turned it on it failed straight away. I hope I've correctly posted the zip file. I am clueless when it comes to computers so help in layman's terms would be appreciated.

A:BSOD error KERNEL SECURITY CHECK FAILURE randomly

Out of the last 8 memory dumps there were 8 different BSOD error codes. The differing error codes are usually symptomatic of a lower level problem within the system. They are usually caused by one of these things:
- borked (broken) hardware (several different procedures used to isolate the problem device)
- BIOS issues (check for updates at the motherboard manufacturer's website)
- overclocking/overheating - You'll know if you're overclocking or not. If uncertain we can suggest things to check.
- missing Windows Updates
- compatibility issues (3rd party hardware/drivers) - and older systems
- low-level driver problems
- or even malware (scanned for when we ask for hardware diagnostics from Initial Hardware Diagnostics or Hardware Diagnostics ).

Start with these free hardware diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics

If you're overclocking, please stop the overclock while we're troubleshooting. Feel free to resume the overclock once the system has been stabilized. i5 and i7 processors can be "auto-overclocked" by using Intel's TurboBoost feature. If so, it's safe to disregard this caution.

Processor may be overclocked!

Prologue: I run amd processor + amd graphic card, so I've catalyst control and since some days got the latest big win 10 update and amd radeon software -the first amd radeon came as update of catalyst control, but it missed the setting to modify the amount of energy taken by pc in relation to power of it, so I reinstalled latest version of catalyst control i had, and some days ago got another autoupdate of it-.

Since then (the win10update) I'm getting every now and then bsod with different errors, at the end of loading of it tho, pc doesnt reboot automatically and forces me to reset/shutdown. Latest error has been kernel security check failure one.
Other than this, weirdly (b4 the events mentioned in prologue) when I open perfectworld(a mmorpg)+league of legends screen freezes, I get a ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ as sound and Im forced to reset or shutdown.

I'm noob at pc things, but I love trying to fix errors, so any advice would be rly appreciated and welcome, ty in advance for attention

This started happening a few days ago. I was playing Rust and it would periodically crash, which happened, I got that. Then I got a blue screen of death, with the above information. I tried a few other games. The amount of time it took to BSOD was different between the games (Rust, Ark, and The Secret World Specifically) but eventually all of them did. I really hope this isn't a hardware problem, since I'm broke at the moment, but who knows.

These are rare and usually hard to trace but most of the time are driver related.
The AMD Overdrive program (AODDriver2.sys) is always suspect in these, if you have it installed as a stand alone program please remove it via the control panel/programs and features. Other times it's part of AMD Vision and will require removal of the AMD/ATI video drivers and installation of the video driver only > ATI video cards - DRIVER ONLY installation procedure - Sysnative Forums

Hi everyone,
So I'm working on a brand new Dell laptop, and I've been working with Adobe Illustrator & Bridge CS6 and Photoshop CC almost every day for the last week and a bit (got it December 12th, 2015). Everything's been fine up until yesterday, when the BSOD hit me suddenly while trying to save a file in Photoshop. Since that initial crash I can't even have Photoshop open for more than a few moments without the same thing happening. Each time it's a Kernel Security Check Failure.
I ran Windows Memory Diagnostic, I ran chkdsk, updated my drivers, did a full system virus scan in McAfee, and even tried uninstalling all Adobe programs, running Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool, and reinstalling from scratch. The moment I get Photoshop up and running again the same thing happens.
Google brought me here, and failed to deliver any other answers, so I'm wondering if anybody would be willing to take a look at my minidump files and let me know what might be causing the problem. Photoshop is essential for some important work I'm trying to get through by the end of the year, so any advice is greatly appreciated!

Hello,

I have bought my new surface book about 1 month ago. It is the one without the NVIDIA graphics card. I recently started to have BSOD problems. Sometimes without notice the blue screen comes up and the first couple times, it was the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL problems. Then now it is the Kernel security check failure problems. I encounter the BSOD about once per day on average. The computer restarts without any problem, but I am worried that it will eventually kill my laptop. Please lend me any assistance possible.

The DM collector file is attached.

Thank you very much

Then, i tried to find original valve registry online and overwrite the registry. I also do registry cleanup, graphic driver update, windows update, scan for virus. It gets less frequent, but still having the same kernel security check failure after some games.

Otherwise, uninstall HalfLife and check to see if the key is removed. Let us know if it is/isn't.

Sorry for the delay in responding. There just aren't that many people who do BSOD analysis, so at times we get a bit overwhelmed!

Your BIOS dates from 2009. Please check at the manufacturer's website to see if there are any BIOS updates available for your system. Also check the readme file to see if they apply to the problems that you are having. Please be advised that flashing the BIOS is a very unforgiving process - and one mistake can physically damage your motherboard.

Due to the age of the system, it's possible that it's not compatible with Win8.1 - you may have to consider moving back to Win8 or even Win7 in order to get acceptable performance.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Hello all,

Over the last week or so, I had been getting a Driver IRQL Not Less or Equal BSOD on my Windows 7. I researched many different fixes that didn't really work out for me. Since I was on the fence about upgrading to Windows 8.1, the fact that I couldn't fix this gave me the push to finally do it. Went through the install process fine. Transferred my personal files from my externals to the computer. Starting downloading necessary stuff (Chrome, Winrar, Adobe Reader, etc.). Finally, I decided to use Disk Cleanup to get rid of my Windows.old file so that I could free up several hundred gigabytes of space. That went through just fine. And then the BSODs started.

It usually happens when I start installing something new. It'll work the installation process for a minute or so, and then hit me with the blue screen. I know the problems are usually with outdated drivers, and looking at the DriverList that the dump gave shows that I only have one that is super outdated:

secdrv Security Driver Kernel 9/13/2006 9:18:32 AM

Unfortunately, what google searches I've done show that this shouldn't be deleted and should update with a Windows Update. This is a problem, considering that I have all the current Windows Updates already installed.

Thanks for anyone that can help

Here's what I would do, with no guarantee that these steps will lead anywhere useful.

Install or reinstall, beginning with the chipset, the latest drivers from the PC manufacturer's web site.

Deal with any issues in the Action Center.

Run BlueScreenView.

In the Windows 8 Start screen type reliability, click Settings, and then select View Reliability History. In the resulting chart if you click a column you'll see additional detailed text below. Perhaps there will be some useful information here.

In doing the above you may get a clue that there is a hard drive or memory problem.

Hi guys looking for some help, I recently purchased a new Asus N550JV Laptop, I down loaded and installed Europa Universalis IV through steam, the game appears to load ok, but once it gets to the menu screen, the screen glitches & freezes, it then crashes to blue screen.

I've had a non paged fault in paged area & kernel securit check failure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey,

Unfortunately, you have rootkit malware.

Use Killdisk to wipe the drive clean, then install Windows:

MSI GE62 6QC 030uk

KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE

I've seen this BSOD a few times on this laptop. It's probably a driver issue but identifying which ones are causing the issues would be greatly appreciated.

And before you ask about the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165 drivers, those from MSI have constant disconnects and barely work. Latest and most uptodate drives straight from Intel do not have any noticeable issues other than a couple of odd logs that pop up from time to time (Netwtw02). I am trying to talk with MSI on this.

Hello everybody.
I had a series of BSOD's today and I couldn't figure out why so I kindly ask for your help. It's something with ntoskrnl.sys and ntfs.sys according to the minidumps attached.
It all began after installing Google Photos Backup and refreshing my graphic drivers but I am not sure they have anythig to do with it.
Thank you in advance,
Ambrus

Chucked together a replacement Desktop PC and have had no end of issues with it over the last two weeks.
BSOD Stop Code - KERNEL SECURITY CHECK FAILURE
BSOD Stop Code - Driver IRQ NOT LESS THAN OR EQUAL

I uninstalled and reinstalled the Graphics drivers yesterday and now I only seem to be getting the Kernel issue
but I haven't had the machine running long enough to confirm the second problem has gone away.

So far I've gone through and updated the drivers.
Run a memory test and HDD check, both of which have come back find.
Done a fresh install.

No idea where to turn now.

Where to get windows 10

The installation media can be obtained through either of these two resources.

Tech Bench
OR
Windows 10

Once you have the ISO, you can use Img Burn to burn it to a DVD or Rufus to burn it to a USB Thumb Drive, either of which you can use to perform an in-place upgrade to a previously qualifying version of Windows, by simply double clicking the setup.exe application from within the Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 8.1 w/update Operating System.

Please backup all your critical data and or perform a disk image before proceeding.
