Hello, for professional purposes I plan to upgrade the existing 8gbof available RAM on my laptop to 12gb or 16gb, depending on price range. I know next to zero about RAM consideration for optimal compability/performance. I uploaded two images of the currently installed RAM cards. There are still 2 slots available, could someone point me to recommended/compatible RAM cards? (If I can order it from amazon, the better). Thank you for the support.?

Hello guys,  I bought my Lenovo y510p for months ago, tried with several SLI games to run those. They all crash, and returns the screendriver has stopped working. I have the y510p with GT 755m sli. Any solution for this?? If I run without SLI all is working good.

Have you updated your video card drivers with the latest drivers from the Nvidia website?  Have you monitored your GPU temperatures to see if either of your GPUs are overheating?  You can try using GPU-Z to monitor your GPUs while gaming.

Hello.I am the owner Lenovo IdaePad y510p Intel i5 4200m.Not so long ago I bought a i7 processor 4810MQ.Both the i5 4200m and i7 4810MQ work on the Socket G3 also known as RPG 946B/947 or FCPGA 946 but with the difference that the intel i5 4200m has a TDP of 37W and Intel i7 4810MQ has a TDP of 57W.So after update the BIOS to version 3.08 willingly I took up the replacement processor. To my surprise, after an exchange with i5 to i7 4200m 4810MQ laptop will not turn on, for a short time (1 to 3 seconds) shone on the white button "power" but immediately afterwards extinguished.I suspect that it is a voltage input to the processor, but the BIOS is not possible because the feature voltage change is not visible / hidden. I hit it on:https://www.techinferno.com/index.php?/forums/topic/3546-lenovo-y410p-y510p-unlocked-bios-wlan-white...but it seems to me such output last resort, and I wanted to ask what to do now.I do not want to believe that the 300W power supply does not could handle the additional 20W per processor. What to do in my Lenovo IdeaPad y510p to use Intel i7 4810MQ?I'm sorry for his handling of English who constantly grind. Thanks!!!

A:Lenovo Ideapad y510p - memory upgrade

They're RAM sticks, not cards, and they're fairly easy to change out. I would suggest looking for something in the 1866mhz speed, though I think you need lower voltage memory. So I'd get something 1.35v or lower.

Hi.  This is my first post on Lenovo forums.  Hoping someone can point me in the right direction.  I don't know much about computers and I'm about ready to hurl my new Yoga 900 (high definition display 3200 by 1800 resolution) over a cliff and jump with it!  I've had it for three weeks, and recently spent a few days setting it up with my apps and files ready for work.  When the display is working properly it's beautiful.  But, coincidence or not?, when Windows 10 (home) updates have downloaded, the screen has become hazy with very unnatural colours.  Too much yellow and red in the mix, and the whole image is very hazy. It came good for several days, but yesterday when there were some more updates, it's hazy again, and seems to be staying that way.  Ugh!!  I don't know if it's the Windows updates causing the issue, but it seems to happen at around the same time.. I tried updating the Display Adapter driver with the one for the Yoga 900 currently available on the Lenovo download site (Intel graphics driver released 13 May, Version 20.19.15.4364) but after downloading and going through the install process smoothly, I get a message saying that Windows has determined that the current one is the best, and the downloaded one is not verified by the computer manufacturer.  **bleep**?  It's Lenovo that's made this new driver available on their download website!!  Why won't... If you mean the factory recovery files try Lenovo for a recovery disc set if available. If you mean for the OS alone just download the MEDIA CREATION TOOL from microsoft which you will use to download the OS installer. As to drivers go to the download site for your unit to download them.

Hello, I only found out after purchasing the Y510P laptop that it for some strange reason does not support 5Ghz networks, only 2.4Ghz. This results in me having insanely slow connection every single night around peak hours (7-11pm), and I'm unable to do anything like watching movies, playing games or download stuff. Does anyone know exactly how to upgrade the wireless card on this laptop so it supports 5Ghz networks? Do I have to go out and buy another wireless card, or is it software upgrades like drivers only? I'm not a computer major so a walkthrough would be appreciated. Thanks.

I recently updated my Lenono Ideapad Y510P to Windows 10, and after a couple of weeks, I started having this wierd problem with my sound. For some reasons, I always had 2 sound outputs, 1 actually being my speaker, and the other being a random "fictional" speaker. However the fictional speaker was set as default to play some of programs, for an example Counter Strike, which resulted in me not being able to hear what was going on in CS. I tried to deactive the "fictional" speaker in the playback options, but for some reason I couldn't deactive it .. So of course, I uninstalled my drivers, and tried reinstalling. However, my big problem now is, I can't install the driver again. I tried both downloading the driver from your website, downloading the Realtek Audio Driver specifically for my computer (however it was for Windows 8.1, no newer version), and I tried downloading the driver from Realteks own website for Windows 10. Both did in fact start the installation, but after saying "You need to restart in order for the driver to work (or something like that)", nothing happened. I didn't have the driver, nor the Realtek program and worst of all, my sound still isen't working .. Is this a virus, or am I just missing something really important? I hope someone's able to help me! And i hope I posted this in the right forum, if not, someone please move it to the right one

I have a lenovo ideapad y510p and everything was fine until for I thought I'd do the battery reset in the lenovo energy management,at first the battery was dead and laptop wouldnt turn on,,I found one way around this which is that first I take the battery out and then insert the ac adapter, the laptop turns on then I put it in hibernate while I insert battery after which it seems to charge but only after I do these steps, but if I take the adapter out and insert it back in,it would stop charging.this is all because of the lenovo energy management software battery reset.I've uninstalled it but it doesnt work.any suggestions?I'm guessing one of the steps after full charge during the battery reset the battery gets drained where it says "plugged in and not charging" until it reaches zero is the problem.

From about 3 weeks ago, my Lenovo Y510p (GT 750M Sli, purchased in 2013) started to make this weird grinding/buzzing sound at random times on the CPU side of the fan. It was barely noticeable if I had headphones on at first, but starting from the second week the noise and vibration of it grew louder. After doing some research for possible fixes, I have tried the method openining Energy Management and running the Dust Removal feature to temporary solve the problem. However, that method only worked for about a week, and starting from the third week the buzzing remains very consistent even after I run Dust Removal several times. Does anyone here know what is the problem exactly? I know for other models, people have been able to solve the problem by updating their BIO driver provided by the website. But all Y510p users seen to have that problem early enough to just get a refund or send it back for exchange/repairment using their then still active warranty. I would like to know if there's any way that I can fix this without having to spend money for the fix when it is proven it is the company side issue since even fresh new purchases of the same model ran into the same exact problem within days.

Hello.

I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Y510p and it has erratic BSOD behavior, usually after sleep mode, but not always. Would love to get to the bottom of it and appreciate any help you can provide!

I've attached the necessary file as per the BSOD posting instructions.

Thanks,
Alexander

A:BSOD on Lenovo IdeaPad Y510p, after sleep mode usually

Only 48 Windows Updates installed. Most systems have 60 to 80 or more. Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

Don't worry about the specific number, it's just important that you have checked and installed any updates that were available.

The memory dumps blame usbccgp.sys, but MSINFO32 lists ks.sys (kernel streaming of video driver)
And this seems to happen during a power down event (such as power off/hibernate/sleep/etc)

Finally, what applications do you delay using Startup Delayer?
What USB devices do you have connected?

I'm concerned about your version of Diskkeeper as it dates from Jan 2013 - well before Win8.1 was released.
Can you update it? If not, please uninstall it while we're troubleshooting.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

You may not find an update for this one, if so, just leave it be:

This has been an exhausting day! I've been trying to figure this out for quite awhile.

To start, I'll post some information.

My webcam was working fine yesterday! I tried doing a system reboot to the the week before that and alas the issue prevailed. My internal webcam is not being registered by my laptop!

So the solution that seemed obvious enough was to check my drivers, update them if necessary. Which I ended up doing. Alas, the issue prevailed.

Checking the device status, I received the error "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)

To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer." The device is currently registered as 'Unknown device' as I uninstalled the driver. I was receiving the same error when I did have the original drivers though.
Looking up what the error means, it meant that the device was disconnected. I'm not entirely sure how this could happen though with an internal laptop. I also need to get a new copy of the drivers (Which don't seem to be registering the device upon installation).

Anyway any help would be appreciated as this has become a huge headache for me, and i just want to skype with my friend!

A:Need help with internal webcam drivers for Lenovo Ideapad y510p.

It might be that the webcam has failed if everything else has been tried.you can take it somewhere and have it looked at but im not even sure they can be fixed when they go. it might be cheaper just to get an external webcam such as a logitech.

Hi,  My ~3 year old ideapad purchased from Newegg seems to have gone south. I have Windows 8.1 installed. Last night I shut it off to bring it to class and when I got to class and tried to boot up, it wouldn't finish starting up, would sit at the logo screen for about 30 seconds before shutting down and starting over. The fans power up like it is going to start. It repeats this loop indefinitely. I tried holding the reset button next to the charger port and still nothing.  Suggestions?  Thanks

Hi all,

Last night, my keyboard suddenly decided it didn't want to work. The following keys rarely work (occasionally after hitting them a gazillion times): 0 (wow it worked just now), p (using on screen keyboard, now 0 is not working so I need onscreen to close these parentheses), colon/semicolon key, and slash/question mark key.

I really hoe this is not a hardware issue as this comuter isnt even 2 years old yet, and having a functioning keyboard is kind of essential. Esecially when some of the affected keys are in your assword... Not sure if the 4 affected keys are connected hysically and thats why theyre acting u together, or if this could have something to do with the fact that the issues arose immediately after some Windows udates.

I would immensely areciate any hel ! Thank you!

A:y510p - keyboard problem

Hi Imjustaguy ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Better to isolate hardware issue from software is to make the computer boot on a rescue media and try typing from it . Using an external USB keyboard and onscreen keyboard further isolate probability of a bad keyboard specially if same thing fails in BIOS (like test typing the affected letter in security password  but NOT to save it , for testing only) .

I just want to comment on this - because I'm having the same issue.  I've used the laptop for a number of months without crashing issues, and it seems to have cropped up pretty recently.

I think it might have something to do with the driver version?  It also only seems to happen with certain games.  In particular, War Thunder and GTA4.  I play Dota 2 quite a bit and don't seem to have any problems at all.

Hi all, I have some problems with my Y510P, hope you guys can help me and pointing me in the right direction. A while back in February I decided to do a clean install of Windows 10 on my laptop. This was due to too much stuff on my PC and sometimes I would get random crashes (freezing at login-in screen from sleep, was the most common). Totally clean (no factory image reset (although I still have to partition) from USB disk created with Microsoft software). After that I installed the drivers, everything was working fine. When I put in the ultrabay GT755M, nVidia Geforce Centre could see two cards. Although I had actually no idea if the ultrabay card actually worked, in some games the air from that vent did get hottor.  Now the problems start:Yesterday I booted up my laptop, took some more time than usual. At login-screen I immediately noticed that the resolution had changed. I thought that was quite strange, it became even more strange when I got to the desktop. Strange artifacts would appear. So I opened Device Management in the configuration panel and it showed the 2 GT755M cards, one had a exclemation mark. It says: "this device has been stopped, problems have been reported, code 43". The Nvidia control panel didn't open and gave the message: "no display connected" which was quite strange, as my screen is still functioning. Also the sleep option disappeared from the start menu, I tried rebooting, didn't work.  After that I pulled out the ultrabay c... Read more

The main problem I would like to find out: is it software or hardware related? In the first case I can of course go back to the clean install of Windows 10 from 2 months ago or go back to Windows 8 (or 8.1) using the recovery partition. But if it is hardware related, that's useless. Anyway to find out?

Hello, I have been using a Lenovo Y510p since the beginning of 2014. It worked perfecly fine till a couple of weeks ago when it suddently turned-off while I was watching a video. From then onwards, it wouldn't start. Novo button or power cycling wouldn't help either. Since it is out of warranty, I took it to Geeksquad to see if they can diagonize the issue quickly but I was said the problem could be deep rooted and it needed thorough trouble shooting. I came home and started disassembling the unit part by part (Take out Hard Disk, Optical Drive, RAM, Wifi Card etc) to see if I could isolate the problem but the laptop simply wouldn't turn on. Suspecting that the mother board could be the problem, I purchased an used motherboard on ebay and swapped the existing one with this and assembled all the components back to their place. This time, when I power on, the keyboard would glow and I can see the heat dissipating fan spinning but it would spin for like 3-4 seconds and then it would stop and the laptop would power off. Then the laptop would start again, the fan starts spinning and stops after 4 seconds and this enters into a loop. All this while, the screen is totally black and doesn't display a thing. F9 or any other buttons are of no use. Novo button is of no use either. The laptop enters into the same loop with Novo button too. Would this mean that my CPU has given up on me? I request your kind help! Thanks,Shyam

Hello there everyone,I am experiencing a strange problem with my y510p. I can properly connect to the internet via wifi, I have sorted out a few config problems which prevented me from connecting, but recently I am getting worried by the network card's behavior. I have recently upgraded to Windows 8.1 (I don't think that's the cause of my issue, but just in case). I noticed that my throughput was, according to Intel's PROSet Wireless WiFi Connection Utility, of about 130 mbps on wireless-n, at about 1 meter away (seriously) from the modem, which is clearly able to do high-speed 802.11n, because the model is kind of new. This modem came from the ISP with two different SSID-s active, and it's able to do 4, so I thought that I could merge the two active networks (set the same SSID and settings on both). Then I set 3 SSID-s active (all identical), then 4, then just 1, and I kept testing this way to see if I could get 270mbps. Not a chance, it stayed at 130. Eventually I found the solution. The system upgrade had set the network adapter settings back to 20mhz only, so I set it back to auto and I started to get 270mbps (intermittent speed) again. But... that didn't sort everything out. I was running an Ookla Speed Test and getting normal speeds when I noticed a slight clicking noise coming from the laptop. And it was absolutely NOT the hard disk. I could hear the hard disk making its usual sounds, and the other noise came from another side of the computer. The noise stopped wh... Read more

hi M B.,

Welcome to the Forums.

That's indeed odd if the clicking noise is comming from the wireless card. One thing that you can try is to re-seat the wireless antenna cables (see page 42 of the hardware maintenance manual).

As for the hard drive, to ensure that it's not the one that's making the clicking noise, try to disable the wireless connection run a diagnostic on the drive (i.e. via HD Tune) or put a load on it (i.e. via CrystalDiskmark) and observe.

Hi

I got a 2nd hand Lenovo Ideapad 100S. It came with Win10 installed but had someone elses profile and data.
(I am not sure if it originally had Win8.1 when it was shipped, there is no rollback option anymore)

My preference is to wipe the current installation completely by downloading Win10 and installing a clean copy off USB.

I also usually prefer to delete all partitions, including recovery because future reinstallations can be done from scratch via USB. (I don't need the option of reinstalling from recovery partitions , the extra space is more important)

I see a warning in the user guide however .....
"Do not delete or modify the Recovery Partition on a WIMBoot-enabled computer. If the Recovery Partition is deleted or modified, you may not be able to restore Windows to the factory status. For computer models on which WIMBoot is enabled, deleting the Recovery Partition may cause Windows to fail to start. How can I determine whether the Windows running on my computer is WIMBoot enabled? WIMBoot technology is normally enabled on copies of Windows 10 Update running on SSD (or eMMC) -only computer models."

What is the best way to do this?

Install a clean copy and remove the partition by booting off a USB, or should I not do this?

 Hi larrens ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

It's a good thing you posted first before proceeding with any clean installation.
Not sure what the Machine Number is to verify the details and specifications of your system.

But if you have a pc with a Windows Image Boot (or WIMBoot) you may not want to choose a clean installation.
This new deployment of installation is compressing part of a big OS file so that you can have an operating system that can only take small spaces intended for small storages (SSD).

Best option to wipe out previous owners profile is a have a fresh out of the box image is using the Puch button Factory reset (Novo key similar to Item 7 page 1). Simply shutdown the system and use the button to turn on, System Recovery option would provide One key recovery from initial backup to do it.

WIM boot are usually created thru OEM depot authorized by Microsoft . DIY for WIMboot maybe a bit complicated.

The thing is the Wi-Fi network I'm using is for my residence area and I'm not the only one using it. I really don't know what to do, help me please.

I have just bought a Lenovo Ideapad 500 - 151SK.  I am really pleased apart from the keyboard.  On average when I type a sentence at least 8 or 9 characters are missing.  If I try typing a little harder then I get some coming out twice.  I have had to correct this short note about 12 times so far.  I tried phoning the warranty hotline as it is brand new but they basically told me that all keyboards are different and I will get used to it.  The keyboard feels slightly springy.  Can anyone advise?  Has anyone else had the same problem?  Many thanks.

Hello,

I have Windows 7 Pro and this just started happening a few days ago:

I have recently uninstalled Office 2010, and then reinstalled it. After doing so my computer boots up slower now and starts Windows with a black desktop (No icons, nothing only the SuperBar). After a few seconds (around 5/10) the desktop shows.

I don't believe its ever did this before.
Office should have added a Q drive for its self it did not do that this time.

Is the any reason that Windows starts with a Black screen?

Thanks!

A:[SOLVED] Slow bootup - Black Desktop after Bootup

Office does not add any Drive letters when you install it. If you want to map a different drive or partition to save your Office Files to, you have to do this manually.
Go to Start/Search and type CMD right click the CMD.exe icon in the search results and Run as Administrator. In the Command Prompt type chkdsk /R and press enter. Now type a Y and reboot the computer. the Check Disk utility will run at next boot up and try and fix any file errors.

However if the keyboard is attached, the power light stays on, and it is definitely still on. I have changed the power settings to shutdown when lid is closed to no avail. The ONLY way to shutdown is using the hard shutdown by pressing the power key and volume control simultaneously, which is not really my preferred option. I have installed all the drivers etc which are suggested, but still without any luck. Does anyone have any idea what I should do next??

Hello all I recently bought this laptop less than a week ago and have been having issues since the start. My problem is the switchable graphics. My pc specs are:Windows 10 64 biti5 6200-U 12gb ram2tb hddintel hd 5202gb radeon r7 m360 Now no matter what i do wheever i run a game it is using the intel hd 520 graphics instead of my dedicated. I have tried the following to resolve the issue:-Removed both the intel and amd drivers, (using DDU in safe mode afterwards to clean left overs) and then re installed both of them (the intel ones first) using the latest drivers from both the intel and AMD website.-I have changed the intel hd 520 power settings and the AMD ones. I have set it to axiise performance etc. I have also added all the launcher and ,exe files to use high performance in the AMD settings, I have the used various software (HWmonitor, gu-z, cpu-z) to monitor both the dedicated card and the intels card temperature and work load. I also use AMD monitor, and turn monitoring on in the AMD settings,Whenever i load a game and check the load, it ONLY the intel card working, and even though i have added the games to the AMD settings they do not show up in the monitoring section.- I have then read online that AMD and intel do not necessarily include "switchable" graphics in their driver updates and to use the ones on Lenovos webiste. Hi to evreyone! So recently I bought a brand new Lenovo Z710 (i7-4700mq, intel hd 4600 and nvidia gt745m). I then installed windows 8.1 (genuine) and all the drivers on the cd that came with the machine. But it seems there is a big problem with the graphics card. Nvidia gt745 seems like its not there. The Geforce Experience and nvidia control panel fail to recognize it, although it's there on Windows Driver Manager. When I try to load a game (WOW) it crashes on the loading screen. "Display driver has stopped responding..." bubble appears and a minute or so afterwards, there is a bsod. The game works on the integrated card (intel hd 4600) when nvidia is disabled or its driver is uninstalled.I tried reinstalling the drivers, downloading and installing the recent ones, removing all graphic drivers and reintalling them in different order, tried safe mode, changed some bios settings, but still nothing happened.Could this be any kind of driver compatibility issue or simply a windows thing, or is it a hardware problem? Could the nvidia be faulty or the laptop itself? I want to try anything before turning it back to where I bought it for a look... So your ideas will be vastly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi  ornella2904 ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

What Windows version would you be using?
Assuring that you have already installed all remaining updates for Windows can assure that there are no current downloads or installations currently being processed in the background.

Technical Support are the best guys to consult regarding WWF00F008-UL7VBE as it would need specific tool to decode it and if this would relate to current slow performance.

You can try safe mode and clean boot to isolate if running processes are causing it. Start up options to disable non essential process can help as well disabling hybrid sleep on power setting.
Setting the power option not to save power on the properties of the wlan card under device manager can help maximize wireless usage.

Update us how it goes.

It also very often to hang, the cursor cannot move and keyboard cannot typing, so i shut it down from power button. Once it turn on it would be blank screen (just like if it is off) for about 10 minutes and then there's notification like the picture i attach, but again i cannot scroll it up or down or press enter, so i can do nothing to the option. Until now it cannot be charged (i plugged in but the charging indicator lamp didn't turn on). So the laptop is out of battery and cannot turn on.  PS: my laptop is still in warranty period, but i bought it in Indonesia and now i'm in Taiwan, so i'm not sure about the warranty.

Hmm, I tried googling various permutations of that failure code and couldn't find anything. Mods? Can you please chime in? Have you updated all the drivers/run Lenovo update?

Recently purchased the Ideapad 300S, 14". It turns black and unresponsive at random times, with no clear pattern as to what app, processes, etc...is causing the change. The computer is still running but keyboard and touchscreen do not work, forcing me to shutdown and restart with the power button. I've done a hardware scan and updated everything but the problem persists. While it's not a huge nuisance (yet), I'd like to know what the problem is and fix it if possible. If anyone has a clue please let me know!

Welcome to the Forums Sarah!

This could be a "video driver" fault on these machines. Try reinstalling the display drivers
Also, update the latest BIOS

Hi. Ive recently installed  Linux Mint 18 as part of a dual boot set up on my ideapad y470. The issue i'm having is that the cpu temps are running above 80C when idle on my Linux install. Compared to Windows, i see 50-60C when idle, and around 80C when using chrome. Whats the reason for this overheating? I have tried installing a different kernel as well, but ive concluded that it is not the linux distribution itself, but something hardware related at this point. Any ideas?

Hi All, My Lenovo U310 Ideapad Has been Having speaker problems, The Headphones are working fine but the Inbuilt speakers that are Awefully situated inbetween the hinge and the base of the Screen aren't working. First i thought that this was a issue with the headphone jack assembly that might have cut off the internal speaker circuit due to improper removal of the headphone jack but thats not true because I noticed that Its an Issue with the angle I keep my Screen's tilt. On moving the screen to any angle above 90 or 100 degrees the speakers get cut of and are activated once its below 80 degrees. I am a bit worried any words on that????? regards, raisedadead. THANKS A LOT IN ADVANCE!!!

Good morning everybody,

I have bought my laptop 1 year ago and everything was going ok, i installed many programs (Adobe illustrator) and games (PES2011) and many others and i faced no problems.
One day, my cousin used the laptop to watch a new movie but he forgot to charge the battery during that time until the laptop shuts down alone due to empty battery.
On the next day, i tried to power on my laptop it starts normally until it reached the Windows 7 logo it automatically shuts down. I tried again for several times with the same result then a blue screen with white writings on it was displayed on the screen (harddisk failure).
I bought a new Toshiba 500GB HDD and burned a new Windows 7 Ultimate x64 DVD to install a fresh new copy of it but i have faced the following:
1- when I power on the laptop it works normally.
2- I press F12 to choose the device to boot from (Boot from DVD)
3- It starts normally and a windows 7 screen appears with a loading bar. It is filled quickly in the first time then a new screen appears with a loading bar starts to fill but after around 75% of the loading bar is filled the laptop shuts down.
I tried to restart it for several times with the same result.

I make the following points to try to restart the laptop but always with the same result:
1- Remove the new HDD and then insert it
2- Remove the Rams and then insert them
3- Remove the battery and then insert it.

Hello Hasan and welcome to Seven Forums.

Please forgive me but I'm a little confused. You say:

- Are you replacing the original laptop hard drive with the new Toshiba or is the Toshiba an external USB hard drive?
- Are you trying to clean install Windows 7 Ultimate x64 to the original laptop hard drive or to the new Toshiba?
- Where did you get the ISO file for Windows 7 Ultimate?

I perviously had a Lenovo and purchased a new one because the mouse "stuck" and would not click on taskbars or the items at the bottom of the screen.  Changing mice made this continue to happen.  However, CTL+ALT+DEL would loosen up the clicking function and allow me to use the mouse properly. The new, above-captioned computer is doing the same thing.   Can I change settings to stop this?

Hi! Just wanna enquire on the laptop that i bought not long ago. It's installed with Windows 10 home.I have 2 minor issues that sometimes irritate me.. one of them is that the battery indicator show low battery eventhough is fully charged. Then within 5-10 seconds, it will revert back to original battery state. This happens occassionally and im wondering izzit windows 10 problem or the laptop itself.. I called the lenovo cust service and they asked me to install the power management software and one key optimiser to check my battery status.. both the software doesn't run in my apps. The battery is okay is just that it turns low power even though it's more than half full.. then it revert back to normal.. it occurs a lot of times =(Next is when i browse mozilla, half of the screen went white.. the other half looks normal.. I refreshed the page, most of the page looks normal but some still white... I updated my firefox, graphic card and changed setting for the white screen problem (untick hardware acceleration).. it still occur.. I wonder what's the issueThank you guys...

Hi all,
I'm trying to connect an external monitor to my Ideapad 100 (windows 10) using the HDMI port but it is not detecting it.
I previously used the same monitor with another laptop under Windows 7 with the VGA port and it worked just fine.

I've updated both display adapters softwares as well as the monitor software and restarted both the monitor and my laptop multiple times but it still won't work.
I tried to download the driver for my monitor but they only have it until windows 8...

Can anyone please help?
Thanks a lot

i have bought Z510 one year back, within this short time i am facing battery problem.Battery is not charging and the system to be keep in plugged condition at every use.I am a home user and use laptop for limited time.I dont understand why lenova has not provided detachable battery which can be change by user only. Now new battery is not available in the market ,moreover Lenova is simply shedding their responsibility by saying Laptop in not under warranty.I request Lenovo to go for root cause analysis of this problem as hundreds of people are facing same problem in this model.Hope Lenovo would provide some software for attending the problem or atleast give the details of service provider from where battery can be repaired/replaced.

Hi all,
I've bought Lenovo Ideapad 100-15IBY (80MJ) few weeks ago in ARGOS. In specification we can find:

Interfaces and connectivity:

4-in-1 media card reader.
1 USB 2.0 port.
1 USB 3.0 port.
1 HDMI port.
Bluetooth.
Wi-Fi enabled.:

The problem is that I can't find bluetooth in my laptop (under Windows 10 and Ubuntu). Why? What is wrong?

Hello! My IdeaPad 100 11IBY has a problem with its touchpad driver. It's listed as a HID-compliant mouse in the device manager and uses the Windows 10 "msmouse.inf" driver. -> touchpad listed as a mouse -> Problem:  I can't scroll with the touchpad I tried installing a generic Synaptics driver, but without success. Does anyone know what driver are needed for this touchpad with the HIDs?HID\VEN_ENEE&DEV_3730&Col04HID\ENEE3730&Col04HID\*ENEE3730&Col04HID\VID_6243&UP:0001_U:0002HID_DEVICE_SYSTEM_MOUSEHID_DEVICE_UP:0001_U:0002HID_DEVICE Driver version: 10.0.10240.16384 Or is there any way to modify the registry (or something else) to make it work? Sadly I don't even know the manufacturer of the touchpad.
