Lenovo Gen 4(20FC) Carbon loses audio after Lenovo System Update We have several of the Gen 4 X1 Carbons here at work and they work fine until Lenovo system updates gets run. We have had 4 people run the system updates and now the system has no audio. If you click the audio icon in the try, windows begins diagnosing the system. If you try to install a different driver, it fails with code 1. No matter if you uninstall, reinstall, different versions of the driver....nothing seems to restore the audio. I finally did a system restore to before lenovo system update was run and the audio returned to working. It seems to be a software problem but I would really like to know if there is some way to get it working without having to restore every time someone runs lenovo system update.

Hello all! I write to you today from an external keyboard placed on top of my laptop, because my keyboard stopped working last night, first by losing an e key, than a r key, and then, when I restarted the laptop, thinking it would be solved by doing so, the entire keyboard would not work past a certain point in windows boot. It does work in BIOS and I can even watch caps lock light up and go off and turn the backlight on and off.Things to note1) The last software change was 2 days before this happened. It was an update to Windows 10. which is my OS.2) My system restore points will not work due to an issue with AppXstaging (not sure if solvable).3)There are two HID compliant devices in my keyboard section on device manager. and a ps2 compatabile keyboard (which is the one I'm typing on right now) 4) I emphasize that the keyboard DOES WORK in BIOS and during boot, up until the point I can see my windows icon, and Cortana. Things I've tried1) sfc scannow comes back with there being issues it couldn't fix as well as ones it fixed2) chkdsk enjoyed scanning my computer for 5 hours last night and fixing some issues3) I do have an event viewer full of errors regarding filter manager and storage, but nothing I could see with the keyboard.4) Black majik5) I have uninstalled so many devices from device manager to let them install that my mouse hands hurt. Perhaps the place in the boot process it is freezing is when the driver reinstalls?6) The problem still occurs in SAFE mode... Read more

A:Lenovo Y50-70-- Keyboard stops working during wind...

Hi Rose,

Welcome to Lenovo Forums.

About the keyboard issue I am not sure. I have heard that there is another Patch update for Win 10 that has been released, you may want to check and install that in Windows Update functionality.

Method 1:
Try to remove keyboard device via device manager (right click my computer > manage > device management > keyboards > find your keyboard > right click and select remove > then restart your computer)

Method 2:
If the keyboard is working fine on the login screen and then suddenly stops functioning when you get to the desktop / metro screen then the problem might be with the Filter Keys - similar to this thread.
Try to turn off Filter Keys by going to Control Panel > Ease of Access > Ease of Access Center > Make the keyboard easier to use > uncheck Turn on Filter Keys then hit apply.
Link to picture
If same problem, you may want to consider doing a clean windows.

Method 3:
If it doesn't work, you may need to replace the keyboard, contact Lenovo service centres and ask for replacement for free if you have valid warranty.

Let us know how you get on.
Regards,
Shashi

Hi, I have tried everything I can think of to try and get my fan to not run nearly 100% of the time.  Drivers, BIOS, complete reinstallations of windows, compressed air, physically removing the back of the laptop and cleaning the fan by hand, about 50 different internet solutions; nothing works.  Also the temperature is fine, running around 35 degrees, so it's not that. Help would be appreciated.

Hello everybody, is there anybody that has upgraded his 3rd Gen X1 Carbon to a 1TB ssd? I'm running out of place and would like to have a bigger ssd and do not know which one I could use. I tried reading in the forums, but was not able to find out which SSD would work. Somehow NVMe is not supported, it has to be a PCIe SSD (I think), but I'm not too familiar with these things. I looked at the new Samsung SM961 1TB that is just coming out, would that be able to work? The specs are here: https://gzhls.at/blob/ldb/c/4/4/9/618ff48c1c0dc799c9442fd598fa06935527.pdf Any help would be deeply appreciated.Regards,Jochen

Hello! I have bought lenovo x1 carbon (first generation).Suddenly I found out, that its keyboard does not support detection of even TWO keys pressed simulanteneously. For example, key combinations:  s+x, d+c, f+v, j+n cause "beep" sound. It seems really strange for me.. Usually keyboards support at least 3 keys pressed at the same time...Is it normal for x1 carbon, or the problem is with my notebook?  Thanks!

Dear Forum Support, Recently I have had issue with my Function key at the bottom left of my keyboard. The Function Keys do work correctly, its just this bottom left corner key "Fn" which cannot allow me to toggle between special function and regular function key. In order to use the regular function key i have to go to Keyboard, Function Key, switch to regular, and restart the computer. I recently did some change to my computer to improve gaming experience: update all drivers, update to windows 10, remove all windows things (system->Performance->Settings-> for best performance), I also use my battery for best performance and my video card (intel hd 5500). Nothing that should impact the Fn key except maybe the driver update for the keyboard, I actually do not know if I had to do a driver update specifically for the keyboard after the windows 10 update. I do have to use the Fn key regularly for Excel, and for gaming. But still less than many other keys (WASD) or (123456) or (shift, ctrl, tab) My question is: I cannot do a hardware scan, so how can i confirm that this specific key is not working properly or that something is blocking its use instead? Is there any way to block this key (activate or deactivate) that I might have done by mistake? (for example: pressing it for more than 10 seconds, or pressing it 10 times in a row, etc..) Looking forward to your help and attention, Best,Ted

I have my x1 carbon for always a year now. Last month, it had problem starting up for the first time, and I resolved it by pressing the reset button at the bottom. However, this problem has happened more frequently lately. Especially in this week, I had to press the reset everytime I start up the laptop. I start to wonder if there is something seriously wrong in the hardware. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I tried pressing the emergency reset switch (in the bottom of notebook) but that didn't help it either. If anyone has any steps to troubleshoot it further, please let me know, before I take it to service center. I already ran all kinds of hardware tests, everything seems to be fine.

Hi, I have a Lenovo X1 Carbon running Windows 10. I would like to connect an external monitor and my only option seems to be using the HDMI port and using a HDMI to VGA cable. I plug this into a Philips 24" ext monitor and nothing I try can get me to
duplicate or extend my display. I just get a message on the ext monitor of "Check Cable Connection". New cable, and new laptop.
How can I even check, if the HDMI port is enabled or is there some other hidden switch / setting / feature I need to turn on first. I have tried the display settings and 'Detect' but nothing.
Any thoughts please.
Kind Regards,
David

Hello, I'm facing a problem with my lenovo pro 2840m display and carbon x1 (R90FWLB9) on windows 7 64bit. The specifications of both devices are saying that they are capable of showing a resolution of 3840x2160 at 60hz. Nevertheless, its not working. Here the steps I tried: - Using the mDP Port directly from the laptop - not the DP port of the dock- Buying a new mDP -> DP cable which is able to display 4K at 60hz (tested in another environment)- Enabled DP 1.2 in monitor settings- Installed last version of intel chipset driver- Installed last version of intel graphic chip driver- Restarted monitor and laptop several times- Factory reset the monitor- Downloaded and installed drivers for the display- There is no other display connected, and the laptop is shut. The 2840m is the only device which is in use After all these steps, I'm still only getting 30hz.  This are the urls to the device-support pages:X1 Carbon Support PageThinkVision Support Page I have no ideas what to try next, but working 8-10hrs a day with 30hz hurts my eyes. Not all X1 Carbons have WWAN; many were WWAN ready, with the antennas and SIM card slot fitted but no WWAN card. You need a machine with a WWAN card and a suitable SIM for WWAN to work.

Dear community, I have this rather special issue that I would like to ask for your assistance with. The case: I have a Lenovo X1 Carbon 2nd generation (20A7) running Windows 10 x64. One day, the touchpad stopped working, but initially by making the cursor jump around the screen when I used the touchpad and later with no response at all. Currently, neither the touchpad or the trackpoint work and only when combining all of my effort and luck (emphasis on the latter) I can get a response. For instance, I recently had luck reinstalling the UltraNav driver which made the touchpad respond, though rather "patchy", but only until I restarted the computer. The background: I bought the laptop while living the United States but have since moved to Denmark where I cannot use what remains of my warranty. I tried calling the Lenovo callcenter and an employee suggested that I enabled the touchpad in the BIOS and reinstalled the driver, but when that did not work, he fell short on advice. It seems that those guys are primarily there to help old people create a password and what not. The twist: I am aware that one excellent possible solution to my issue is that I can do a clean install of Windows on my device. However, I currently have a limited use version of some very expensive software installed and I need that in my daily work and cannot get a new version right away, so doing that would set me back quite a lot.&nbs... Hello and welcome,

It seems that you're leaning toward a software rather than a hardware problem.  You might try booting a live Linux USB flash drive to verify that the hardware works.

It's typical for ThinkPads to have international warrantees.  Have you verified your specific coverage?   SUPPORT above, then International Services in the Warranty and Repair drop-down.

If your machine is eligible for local warranty service they will probably reinstall the OS as a diagnostic - and possible repair - effort.  If you can isolate to a hardware issue as suggested above you might avoid that step.

Prior to this problem the machine was running fine, there were no major updates that I recall, I certainly did not do any firmware updates for example, probably only Windows 10 automatic updates. So when this first happened there was a blue screen. The first few times it started booting windows and blue screened before reaching the login screen - now I can't even get the screen to come on, not even bios, just the following.. When I press the power button the keyboard backlighting and LCD Fn keys appear. The screen does not appear to start. Sometimes the machine stays like this for about a minute then switch off, sometimes it seems to reboot endlessly. When it is rebooting the power button flashes 3 times. I have tried the following with no success:Running on AC and no AC.Charging for a day.Letting the machine sit for at least a week off the charger.Holding the power button for 3, 10, 20, 30 seconds, etc..Pressing the power button multiple times.Pressing the reset button with a paperclip.Pressing the F1, F12, delete keys immediately on powerup, etc..  Any suggestions? I haven't opened it up yet, but I am comfortable doing that.

I have a two week old Lenovo X1 Carbon 20A7 and from the beginning after simply got Windows7 initial setup with nothing else on, I noted that if I left it to go in sleep or Hibernate, when the lid was closed, upon opening it again, the notebook screen was black although the adaptive keyboard was active and the machine was pingable from the network. No matter what I did I could not get the unit to come back to life so I always had to press the power button until it power cycled to get it back. I noted that I was not alone out there and some reported the issue on earlier X1's Support suggested to send it back and were not helping much. They decided it is either hardware or configuration issue, and in both cases it required a return.  Because the issue was reported in the forums on earlier X1's I decided that it was probably software and I started by disabling all sleep modes only to find out it would still go to sleep. This is how I found out that if the sleep mode was disabled in Power Manager, it would automatically enable in Windows version of the power manager. Disable it in Windows and it would enable in Power manager... yeah - exactly; I had the same reaction.. Same thing with other power functions. So I de-installed Power Manager 6 and bingo, no more issues. But now I get non critical warnings  in Lenovo tools that I have no power manager software installed. Plus I don't get the extra features that are useful in PM6. ... Read more

4.  Open the lid
5.  Screen stays black?

Hey all.

I've been using a Macbook Pro 15" for years, with Win7 Ultimate installed. Naturally I have everything just so.. It died a few days ago. I figured it was the SSD, but it was the mainboard or something.

I now have a new Lenovo X1 Carbon, and the SSD from the MacBook Pro is in an ext. USB enclosure. How would the experts recommend that I image the old installation onto the new laptop?

I found this article (Restore Windows 7 to different computer ) but it requires the old computer to be working.

(Please keep in mind the X1 doesn't have an optical drive -- I will have to create a bootable USB key for this process.. Or perhaps it's possible to boot off of the external HD -- I'll check the BIOS)

Thanks in advance..

I have updated from Excel 2003 / XP to Excel 2013 / Windows 8 Enterp 64 bit.
The new Excel appears to take longer just to move from 1 cell to the next, even on a blank workbook

I have a Mac Pro, using Parallels 8, and the XP / Excel 2003 works faster, both virtual machines are on the same computer:
The Mac is a Dual Quad Core, at 667 MH speed
I have assigned 2 CPU's to the Wind. 8 virtual machine, ( and just 1 in XP)
I'm testing these one at a time.

Why ? Is W8 slower
Is parallels W8 slower due to their interface?
Are there settings that could fix this?

Looking forward to the new software benefits, but hard to get past the speed issue.
Any body smarter than me out there on this? I'm sure there are.
Thanks in advance for any help or comments.
Gary.

A:Performance of Excel 2013 in Parallels-Wind 8 vs Wind XP

Well, Office 2013 uses GPU hardware acceleration to perform those unnecessary animations that looks cool to some users. From your experience, it looks like Parallels is not supporting the GPU hardware acceleration that Office 2013 uses. Try disabling GPU hardware acceleration from Excel options. You can also disable animations to further improve performance.

My Lenovo Laptop recently has stopped working. It turns on and everything, it just cannot boot up.The loading screen pops up and everything, but it won't go to the login screen. When I power the laptop on, it goes on the loading screen, and stays like that for a good 5-8 minutes, then gets an error message that says"Process1_Initialization_Failed"Then it tries to go into System Recovery, but after "Loading Files" it goes into the loading screen, then transitions into a black screen. There are no options, just a black screen.I wait for an hour, and absolutely nothing happens.I made sure nothing else is plugged in except for the Charger. The laptop is a Lenovo Y51.If you need anymore information, please ask. I really need this fixed soon.

Hi Braniel64 ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

We are hoping that you have a recovery media to run repair if needed else using a rescue image to boot from so that you can try this process directed in this video. Similarly you may find suggested steps here .

What version of Windows do you have (Win 7 / Win 8.1/ Win10) ?
Any data that you have not backed up yet ?

As you have described for a probable windows boot process issue , factory reset would offer as last option if the above repair steps fails.

Update us how it goes .

So, I have a Lenovo Thinkpad Z61T 9660CTO which I bought in 2007. It has served me well. Yesterday, it was working perfectly, albeit with some exxtra high heating at the bottom, close to 60-70 degrees Celcius. Then , I wanted to put in a new SSD into it. So, I took out the old HDD and then connected it, and the other SSD via USB casing to another computer running a disk cloning software. Tried it did not work. Now, I put back the old HDD into the Thinkpad, it does not start up again at all. Even the first screen which says "Thinkpad" press Blue button for recovery" does not come up now. Hard drive is not it, since the screen does not switch on at ALL. If it was HDD failure, it would say something like HDD not detected. But in this case, it does not even show the initial Thinkpad screen. So, this may be a loose connection somewhere (even though I did not remove the casing at all while removing the HDD) Both times, I removed and reattached the HDD, with the power cable removed from the Thinkpad, but, the battery was still inside the chassis. Short circuit? Bad! Someone help.

A:Lenovo Z61T not booting

In case its not clear, when I press the power button, I do not arrive at the press Del to enter BIOS screen at all. No THINKPAD screen. Just black screen and no HDD activity

Hidy ho all,

I have a Lenovo G505s I bought in august. Up to this point, its been a great machine. This morning (11/20/2014) I installed some updates from windows update. around 4:30 PM today, I rebooted the machine, because I had an hour break in between classes. During that reboot it tried to install those updates, and it said it failed. After the failure it said it was reverting back to the prior state before the updates were installed.

It then rebooted again. It got to the Lenovo splash screen, and some little white text on the bottom of the screen has said for the past half hour "Updating your system (5%)" with the windows 8 little circle thing spinning around just above it.

I did try restarting it by holding down the power button, but it came right back to this screen.

Google has turned up nothing yet. Has anyone else had this issue? If so, have they (you) been able to fix it?

A:Lenovo G505s not booting

I think the quickest way around this issue is to let the OS try to install the updates it might take a while to do so(which is a pain) but I would wait because you don't want to mess up your system you might loose more than the time you will wait

I turned my Lenovo laptop on Friday to see the usual splash Lenovo on start up and then nothing else happened it kept continually doing that and going no further. Just so you know my laptop has no warranty left as I got it last Christmas second hand. I have been looking at demonstration videos on you tube and what I have tried so far is. I plugged in an external usb keyboard and got into bios and checked it was detecting my hard drive and it was. The next step I did was disconnect internal power/ battery and did the hold of the power button for 30 seconds to 1 minute  with the power cord connected only. And it was still doing the same. I then got advised to remove the cmos battery turn on laptop and then back off and put the battery back in. This has also failed to work so now I am looking for help here as I don't know what to do next and am hoping someone here has a different suggestion for me to try and hopefully get my laptop back up and running. Thank you in advance for any help given.

Try and boot with charger plugged in. If this works try installing the latest updates you may have restart and install more than once so be patient. If this doesn't work check with your device maker.

Some program or startup is causing the slowdown. You can do a clean boot and from there add services until you find the one causing the problem. It would be a good idea to disable your startup items also.

A:Booting up from the optical drive on a Lenovo H430

Hi, On the Lenovo H505s you have to change a few options in the BIOS to install Windows 7 which requires booting from the optical drive. It's probably the same in the H430 Restart the computer at the white Lenovo (BIOS) screen, hit F1 to enter the BIOSGo to Security tabGo to Secure BootDisable Secure BootReset to setup modehit Yes to "Do you really wish to reset platform to setup mode?" Change the boot options to look for USB devices if you are installing from a flash drive, or make the DVD drive the first boot device. (Select SATA dev 1 not the DVD drive or whatever it's called and hit the - key) Go to the EXIT tabDisable OS Optimized DefaultsSave and Exit. That's now I did it on the H505s, not to sure what impact that has on the OEM installation of Win 8, probably destroys it, so be aware you might not be able to go back after. -Cheers

Yesterday I had this issue with my Lenovo R400 and I alredy solved but i want to post the solution on this forum for other people.  The ProblemMy laptop entered in hibernation mode and in the morning that i tried to turn it on it didnt. I pushed the power button i see the lights of 1 and A turned on and off twice, but didnt show the boot screen.. The screen was blank doing nothing. Solution 1Disconnect the power cable and battery and push the power button 11 times and in the 11th push the button for 30 seconds. Connect power and push power button. Then you can connect the battery. Solution 2 (The one that helped me)Removed the power cable, the battery and the internal battery of CMOS and let it disconnected all for 15 hours. I dont now the exact time that it have to be disconected but i read a post saying 15, maybe with few hours if enought.  Then you connect the cable and push F1 (until beeps)  and turn on the Laptop to enter in Supervisor Mode to set date and time F10 and exit. Connect the CMOS's battery and normal battery and is all. WARNINGIf you reset the CMOS and the laptop have a Supervisor Password enabled and you dont have it  you will be in big problems. Mine laptop didnt have it. I was luck because i didnt know it. Without the Supervisor password you cant set the date/time and the laptop wont boot again. You will need to change the MotherBoard. Hi,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

I?m sorry to hear that your Lenovo ThinkPad T430 is not powering on.
Check if it's something to do with your AC adapter or battery. Insufficient power might cause some of those issues as well. Take the battery out and try to power on your laptop with the charger only. Make sure your laptop power jack and charger plug tip are securely connected. Try starting the laptop using good known AC adapter and battery.

Try connecting the device to an external monitor and check if it displays properly.

Please do let me know the happenings!

Best regards,
Mithun.

Good morning everybody,

I have bought my laptop 1 year ago and everything was going ok, i installed many programs (Adobe illustrator) and games (PES2011) and many others and i faced no problems.
One day, my cousin used the laptop to watch a new movie but he forgot to charge the battery during that time until the laptop shuts down alone due to empty battery.
On the next day, i tried to power on my laptop it starts normally until it reached the Windows 7 logo it automatically shuts down. I tried again for several times with the same result then a blue screen with white writings on it was displayed on the screen (harddisk failure).
I bought a new Toshiba 500GB HDD and burned a new Windows 7 Ultimate x64 DVD to install a fresh new copy of it but i have faced the following:
1- when I power on the laptop it works normally.
2- I press F12 to choose the device to boot from (Boot from DVD)
3- It starts normally and a windows 7 screen appears with a loading bar. It is filled quickly in the first time then a new screen appears with a loading bar starts to fill but after around 75% of the loading bar is filled the laptop shuts down.
I tried to restart it for several times with the same result.

I make the following points to try to restart the laptop but always with the same result:
1- Remove the new HDD and then insert it
2- Remove the Rams and then insert them
3- Remove the battery and then insert it.

Hello Hasan and welcome to Seven Forums.

Please forgive me but I'm a little confused. You say:

- Are you replacing the original laptop hard drive with the new Toshiba or is the Toshiba an external USB hard drive?
- Are you trying to clean install Windows 7 Ultimate x64 to the original laptop hard drive or to the new Toshiba?
- Where did you get the ISO file for Windows 7 Ultimate?

Hi all I have recently bought a Lenovo M91p thinkcenter Desktop as an upgrade to my old i3 PC. Old Spec is as follows:Coolermaster Thunder 600W power supplyIntel DH55HC motherboardi3 CPURadeon HIS HD 7950 Graphics card8GB RAM500GB HDDI have transferred my old 500GB HD and Power supply to the new Lenovo desktop and everything booted fine. Then I installed 2x 2GB extra into the Lenovo M91p (Making it 8GB), and upgraded the 500GB HDD to a 1TB. So my new spec is as follows:Coolermaster Thunder 600W power supplyLenovo Q67 motherboardi7 2600 3.4 Ghz CPU8GB RAM1TB and 500GB HDDEverything Booted fine. Then I tried to install my old Graphics card (The Radeon HIS HD 7950 Graphics card). All i got was a blank screen, no beeps, no BIOS... Nothing. At first, i thought my power supply wasn't enough... So i tested a 750W power supply in the pc. Still nothing. Then I thought the motherboards BIOS was outdated... Updated it... Still nothing. I even tried updating the firmware of the graphics card. Nothing. The graphics card definitely works because I tested it in my old machine and it worked 100%.However, I took my graphics card to my supplier, and he tested it on another one of his PCs... Didn't work there either. My PC's BIOS doesn't have support for secure boot, in case anyone wants to know.I have run out of ideas now... Any one able to help?

A:Lenovo M91p Desktop not booting with new graphics ...

There's a white list of graphics cards the BIOS will recognize. The HD 7950 is a 180w card, well in excess of what the factory power supply can provide for (and the case/fans sufficient cooling for), and is not one that Lenovo would provide BIOS support for.

Use the search engine above to see what cards other owners have successfully used in their M91p.

Hi,I'm trying to boot and install windows 7 on my lenovo touchpad running windows 8 at the moment. I'm booting from an external dvd drive because the thinkpad doesn't have an internal drive. It will start the boot process and load the windows files, then throw an "Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We're just collecting some error info, and thne you can restart (0% complete) PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA (WimFsf.sys)" error.I've tried booting from a USB drive as well and get the same results. I need to load windows 7 on 5 machines and only one has worked fine. I'm assuming it's a memory issue, but I haven't seen this error before when booting. Any tips?message edited by robkule422

A:PAGE FAULT when booting windows 7 (Lenovo laptop)

If you're getting that above error message, that's a blue screen error, which means you're booting to Windows and not to the DVD drive. What do you have selected as the boot order?

The PC beeps a booting and asks for a OS selection highlighting windows 7 as the OS and waits for me to select it.

How can I fix this issue. I tried startup recovery using finction f8 and that did not help.

Hi everyone, I've had a Lenovo Y510P with SLI 750m's for about 1 year and 3 months now. 2 weeks ago (around the time I upgraded to Windows 10). My laptop suddenly is unable to boot for the most part. When I press power, it hangs on the initial blank screen, with no logo pop-up. I have managed to get it to boot before, just simply by restarting over and over, but it's been 3 days and no luck now. It simply stays on a blank screen (no backlight), though the keyboard and power button light up. Here are the steps I've taken to troubleshoot:-> Removed battery, unplugged AC, performed "fleeting power removal" by holding the power button for 60 secs (have done this multiple times)-> Removed RAM, changed slots etc. When there is no RAM, the machine will continuously reboot-> Removed HDD, reseated-> Removed 2nd GPU. When the 2nd GPU is plugged in, the fan will try and spin every so often-> Unplugged connectors to wi-fi module-> Restarted many times-> Pressed the NOVO button, it simply brings it to the blank screen Any advice would be much appreciated. The laptop itself is in good condition, and has little physical ware. Unfortunately it's no longer under warranty, and I'm sure the cost of sending it in is quite high.

Lenovo z500. Windows 10. When I turn on screen is black. Nothing showing. No cursor or flickering. Can hear computer Tring to boot and keyboard lights come on. Have tried pressing all function keys to no avail. I'm away for a conference and have no tools to open up and remove battery. This happened yesterday but then when I randomly moved screen it came on, but problem reoccurring when I tried to boot up again. No amount of screen moving helping this time.  Has never happened before.  I had to put it through air port scanners yesterday during travel. Has never affected laptop before but I did read somewhere about a magnetic field perhaps affecting it but not sure what that means. Any help greatly appreciated as without it my presentation at this conference is screwed! Thanks! Tim

I am not able to update my VGA driver with any other than ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730. However when I boot having this driver keeps my screen blank till I have to reboot it in Safe Mode and choose Standard VGA driver.
I have attached my MiniDump folder with this thread.

What shall I do?

Note: I have downloaded latest drivers from Lenovo site. Used ATI Catalyst, AMD updates etc. but nothing resolved my issue.

I am having an issue with our Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga's connecting to our MDT 2012 server.  When I boot to Windows PE and try to connect to the deployment share I receive the message, "no networking devices found on this machine!."  I was able to find a link to MDT drivers on the Lenovo site https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht074984.  I have imported this driver into MDT and created a selection profile. I have ensured that the driver is in the boot image.  I have also tried injecting the drivers manually while booted into PE.  Just for good measure I even tried the drivers for the Think Pro One Link Dock and for the USB to ethernet dongle.  I have researched the web for solutions on this issue and tried all that I have found thus far. Oh by the way I have even totally recreated the MDT server from scratch and I still have this issue with the Yoga. I have other models of Lenovo computers and I can connect to the MDT server in PE on these machines.  Any advice or assistance would be highly appreciated as I am under the gun to get this up and working.
