HP Pavilion X2 10 Incorrect Pin

Q: HP Pavilion X2 10 Incorrect Pin

Yesterday I purchased a HP Pavilion X2 10. I set a pin number, like it suggested. I set it to the same pin number I use for all my devices. I have used that pin number to log onto this device many times in the past day, and I am 100% certain that it is correct. But now when I log on with that pin, it is saying "you have entered an incorrect pin too many times. To try again, restart your device." I have restarted my device three times, entered the CORRECT pin number, and it stll comes up with this, after one attempt. I don't know what to do anymore. This is an extreme inconvienience, especially as I only bought the computer yesterday. I really need to get into it, but nothing is working. Help would be much appreciated.

The sound on my notebook works fine until I connect it via HDMI to an HP Pavilion 24xw monitor.  Then the audio disappears.  If I disconnect it, the audio comes back. I have tried going to the 'Sound' section of the control panel.  There are two options:Speakers Realtek High Definition Audio HP 24xwThe default is Speakers Realtek.  When I use the test facility my notebook plays the test sound.  I have updated to the latest version of the driver. Can someone help with why when plugging in the monitor the audio disappears from my notebook? Thank you so much!

A:will a HP Pavilion 15-n034sa motherboard fit into a HP Pavilion 15-n083sa ?

Actually that's a hard question, generally its not possible to install another motherboard, sometimes it is. In this case one is an AMD platform and the other is an Intel platform, there could be tons of differences in mounting holes, physical design, clearance, connectors, heat dissipation requirements, cooling systems, etc. Laptops are not like desktops that use more standardized designs.

My HP Pavilion 500-205t was destroyed by a lightning strike. The HD is o.k. I have purchased an HP Pavilion 500-490 because the specs were very close.  I  want to use my 205t HD. Both computers are Core i3-4130, have 1 TB 7200 SATA 6G 3.5 HDs, same OS (Windows 7 Pro 64). My question is:  can I swap them out, or do I need to get an external HD enclosure and copy the 205t to the 490? If I need the external HD enclosure, looks like aluminum would be best, but would like recommendation for one which would hold my HD.

Any Ideas?

Playing them on the DivX player on the other hand, the aspect ratio appears fine and exactly as how it should be. As I play them on Windows Media Player, two of my avi videos appear flattened from top to bottom (stretched from side to side); one of my avi files appears flattened side to side. Hey everbody!

I ran into a bit of a problem yesterday. I reformatted my HD and installed Windows XP on it. Everything worked fine untill the next time I booted my system. It just gave me a black screen after the BIOS messages and didn't start Windows. I tried running the fixmbr utility in the windows recovery console, but after that everything got screwed up. Now it says my HD is only 2 gig, when it should be 20. I tried doing everything already, but even in the installation screen of Windows XP it says it's 2 gig large. This is not a partitioning problem; I tried fdisk and partition magic: They all say the whole disk is 2 gigs.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks.

I recently noticed a slight decrease in speed on my computer, because I tend not to look exactly at the bios when it is booting but I did last night and it was booting as a 1733mhz Althon not a 3000+ XP, it's not a major problem for the moment, but I would like to reset it back to the 3000+ what are the setting that I need to input and why would it do this without me touching the bios since I first booted the machine.

My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-7n400 pro.

A:CPU speed incorrect

The 3000+ should be running at 2.16Ghz which would work out with a fsb of 166 to have a multiplier of 13. It sounds like your board has reset to be running with a 133 fsb which would give you your 1729 speed (give or take clock discrepancies of a few Mhz). You can either set the bios to use the settings from the chip for the correct speed or set the multiplier to 13 and the fsb to 166 in the bios using user editable settings.

OK, I have a Sony Cyber-Shot camera, 's pretty new. This is only the second time I've ever tried loading pics onto the computer from it. First time everything went just fine, but I only had eight pictures. Now I have seventeen and it only saved nine of them, got to 40% loaded on the tenth, and told me that it didn't load; there's a button for retry, but no matter what it won't work, so I skipped that picture. Same thing happened to the rest of them. At the very end it said "Cannot Complete the Scanner and Camera Wizard", and it told me that "The following error occured when copying pictures: Paremeter is incorrect."

Rebooting, disconnecting and reconnecting, starting at the tenth picture, none of it works.

Help?

(I think this is the right section for this?)

A:Incorrect Paremeters

There are a couple of things to try here. First, as a work around you can try browsing to the camera in "My Computer" and manually copying the pictures onto your computer, treating the camera as if it were an external hard drive.
Secondly, I am assuming that you are using the Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard to copy the pictures based on the error you described. If so, you might try using the picture transfer software that came with the camera instead. There should have been a program on the installation CD and its operation would be described in some of the literature you received.

Unfortunately you downloaded an update that has caused this error.

My suggestion is to try "Last known good configuration". Heres instructions on how to use it.

Hi All. I thought MS had cleaned up their act regarding nonsensical messages, but I was wrong. What does this message mean and what are the corrective actions? My problem started when I purchased a Brica DigiArt 300 camera and its included Ulead Explorer software. I have 2 machines both running XP and at SP1. When I tried uploading images from the camera on the 1st machine using a front USB port, the camera was not recognized, but eventually XP gave me the removable disk message but no other data information which meant I could not upload the images. I tried the other machine and after several attempts, the Wizard came on and it allowed me to upload images to a folder. However, I have since purchased a Canon MP370 printer for this machine and it uses an USB port. Now when I try to upload images from the camera, nothing happens similar to machine 1. In frustration I went and purchased a memeory card reader for an SD card. I went back to machine 1 and using a front USB port tried to load images. The machine recognized and installed the camera as a device but as the load was happening the machine froze and then came back with the Incorrect Parameter message. I could see some of the images in the preview of Ulead, but the rest had a message saying 'Downloading'. The reader works fine on machine 2 with the new printer. The Incorrect Parameter is for drive G, E and F being used by my son and his games. A tech friend suggested I try the back USB ports on machine 1. Any... Read more

Pardon me if I put this thread in the wrong place. Being new, I'm just alittle lost!! Anyhow, I had this 'incorrect function' when trying to get my Sony DRU-830A to read a DVD. It would read a CD just fine, but it kept throwing up that 'incorrect function' error when I tried to play a DVD. I tried eveything I knew too do and followed the instructions in a similar post on this forum, but with no luck. However, I did find something that did work. After about 2 hours of trying every trick in the book, I cleared the CMOS. I took the battery from the motherboard and left it out for about 5 minutes, and when I re-installed it and re-booted, the DVD player worked perfectly!! Granted, this may not work for everyone, but if you're to the point where this problem is getting on your last nerve...it may just help. Sure, I had to reset some of my settings in the BIOS, but it was well worth it!! Hope this will help someone!!

I have an ipod touch that was given to me a year ago.I think it's a 4th generation.
The specs of it are as follows:
iOS 6.1.6
Model: MD057LL/A

My ISP is Verizon. The router I have is from Verizon and It's called "Actiontec", model MI424-WR rev. D
On my Verizon account, it recommended I switch from WEP to WAP2. I have no idea what that means other than it's some form of security. I followed the directions given to me by Verizon and switched to WPA2.

So here's the problem with my network. After switching to WPA2, I couldn't connect my ipod to the network. I typed in the right password to connect my ipod, but it kept saying "incorrect password". Since I couldn't connect to the network with my ipod, I switched back to WEP. I'd like to use WPA2 since it's supposed to be better, but I'd like to be able to connect other devices to my network. So why can't I connect to my network and am told the password is wrong when it's not?

I used dial-up until recently for my 3 e-mail accounts. A week ago, I changed to broadband at home. I sent and received e-mail messages during that week without any difficulty.

Today, though, if I try to send e-mail messages using any of the 3 accounts, I at once get the above message, and the message cannot be sent. However, if I change over to the dial-up modem, I remain able to send from all 3 accounts.

Neither the broadband-provider nor the e-mail providers can explain why this should happen -- can anyone help ?

A:'535 Incorrect authentication'

Whatever lay behind that, I have outflanked the difficulty by creating a new e-mail account for my broadband provider. I can therefore now again use broadband to send e-mail messages, and thank goodness that difficulty is in the past.

However I have had no luck trying for the past couple of hours to get through to Nildram to find out the address of their incoming-mail server. Their voice-mail really is in a class of its own...

Can some kind person tell me what the address of the Nildram incoming-mail server is ?

I reinstalled Win. XP because my computer was loaded up with junk, some could not be just deleted. I downloaded in drive D rather than C. WRONG, now I can't delete it (XP) and reinstall in C. Part of my original problem was installing Norton Anti Virus. It takes up too much space, causes everything to slow down. I can operate but must constantly clear out D because I only have 7% free space. I hope this is one of those stupid questions with an easy answer. Thanks for any help, Johndoc 57

Ever since I adjusted the clock on my PC, which is now the correct DST
time... The TIME in my OUTLOOK EXPRESS seems to be off by an hour.

Any mail that I receive, which is a POP3 account with my ISP
(peoplePC)... gives the time an hour off.

Are the times for mail in OE server generated or something to do with
the settings on my PC?

Like I said, my PC clock is accurate but all of my email times are off
by an hour.

Thanks

DAVID

A:Incorrect OE timestamps.....?

Double-click your PC's time, then go to the Time Zone tab. Make sure it's set to -5 and there's a checkmark in the box to automatically adjust settings. Apply, then OK if you made any changes.

Did you download the patch from MS's website, or did you manually change the time? If you manually changed the time, you will have to change it back, then download the patch from MS's website, which will "fix" the time issues...

Make sure you're using the password for your microsoft account " with a link to reset. Will resetting oassword through that link work? Is there anybother work around? What a complete mess microsoft!!

A:The password is incorrect

Hello awiklendt,

That error means that you just entered your password incorrectly in netplwiz.

You should be able to click on OK in the error message, then sign in with your correct password. After you are signed in, go back to netplwiz, and start over entering your correct password to stop this.

Ok,
I bought an AMD Athlon XP 3000+ off of the internet, it came in the mail today. I put it in my computer (the mother board is an ASUS A7N8X2.0). The computer recognizes that I put in a new processor. I ran a DirectX Diagnostic and it said my CPU speed was 1000Mhz. The processor I had upgraded from, AMD Athlon XP 2500+, came up as 1100Mhz. The CPU I bought was tested and guaranteed to work. Why is my motherboard not recognizing my CPU? And what can I do to fix this.

A:Incorrect CPU Speed

If you had taken the time to read the manual, you would've found out that you have to manually set the FSB speed to either 166MHz or 200MHz (depending on the version of the CPU that you've bought).

A:parameter is incorrect??

Although it is possible you have problems with your hard drives, I suspect this is unlikely. You have seen exactly the same symptoms with two different drives (albeit from the same manufacturer), so probably the drives themselves are not at fault. I'd suspect a configuration error, your motherboard (including cables) or BIOS, in that order. If your second system recognizes the drives but cannot read the data, the data are probably toast, and you might consider using a utility from the manufacturer to test and verify each drive before re-installing them anywhere. I suspect the drives are fine, but the data have been scrambled.

Suggestion: in the future, put your backup drive in the other computer (the one that is not having the problem) and make your DVDs there (if possible). That way, you avoid any problems caused by flakey hardware in the original computer.

Hope this helps -- additional info appreciated.

I had a Celeron board with 128MB PC2100 at 266mhz, running XP Pro. It always said it had 96MB RAM, I figured because of integrated video...I added 512MB RAM, and then it said it had 576MB. That didnt add up. The PC started crashing intermittently and then would not POST at all. I took it in and they said it was a bad mobo. I decided to get a new barebones with a Athlon XP 2000+ and it took PC2100 as well. I took out their 128MB of PC2100 (333fsb) and replaced it with the 512 and 128 sticks of PC2100 (266) that I had from before and it said, again, that it has a total of 576MB. What would be the reason that not all the RAM is reported? I can understand 32MB for video, but a 512 and a 128 should add up to 640, or at least 608, not 576, right? Am I missing something? Is RAM bad or something??
Thanks for any help!!

Where do you get this error before dial tone after it dials the number and handshakes or wne you first start up DUN? Also are you using DUN or are you using a Connection created via the network connections field? They are 2 different types and use different system info.

If in fact it is DUN have you copied the *.pbk file from a working 2000 to this one that is getting the error 87? Does the error persist?

Have you ensured the modem works correctly as it should through hyperterminal just dialing a number such as your cell? Do you get connectivity that far?

I left for lunch today. When I returned one folder on my Western Digital external hard drive is now giving me the error: Incorrect Function and will not open. I have opened the files today (right before lunch). It just so happens the one folder are my gradebook files!! I'm in a panic as I have to admit I've been bad and haven't backed up since before Christmas!!

I've opened almost every folder on the hard drive and the files attached and so far everything else has behaved perfectly. The only one giving me this error is the one that will cause me so many problems it isn't funny.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there a chance out there for me recovering these files?

A:Please help - Incorrect Function

You may be able to recover your files using Zar: http://www.z-a-recovery.com/unformat-tutorial.htm

Please try it and back up all data first.

After fully backing up do this:

Manual steps to run Chkdsk from My Computer or Windows Explorer

Open My Computer, and then right-click the hard disk that you want to check.
Click Properties, and then click Tools.
Under Error-checking, click Check Now. A dialog box that shows the Check disk options is displayed
Use one of the following procedures:

? To run Chkdsk in read-only mode, click Start.
? To repair errors without scanning the volume for bad sectors, select the Automatically fix file system errors check box, and then click Start. (tick)
? To repair errors, locate bad sectors, and recover readable information, select the Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors check box.

Note If one or more of the files on the hard disk are open, you will receive the following message:

The disk check could not be performed because the disk check utility needs exclusive access to some Windows files on the disk. These files can be accessed by restarting Windows. Do you want to schedule the disk check to occur the next time you restart the computer?Click to expand...

Click Yes to schedule the disk check, and then restart your computer to start the disk check.

Wait until Chkdsk finishes Checking / Repairing any faults
Windows will then either restart your computer or continue loading Normally.

Hi There!

There may be some Windows registry corruption due to different timing on the ram from what you previously had installed.

There may be other issues as well but the Windows registry is the most likely cause.

Try removing the new and putting the old ram back in and see if it reports correctly. Also, try changing memoty slots on the board.
Good Luck!

Anybody had a 'stock' (ie. not overclocked) processor read this much higher than it's rated speed?

I have an 850MHz 'thoroughbred' 'slot a' Athlon and motherboard. The system originally came with a 650MHz 'classic' Athlon.
The original processor registered 651 to 653MHz with various utilities to measure the clock rates of processors. The 850MHz processor registers as running at 861 to 866MHz.
The mobo is a gigabyte GA-7IXE, original 'irongate' chipset (southbridge is also the original 751 if memory serves me), either the F7 or the 7F BIOS burned into it (latest for this board I think).

A:incorrect MHz on CPUs....

There is no such thing as a Slot A Thoroughbred, the Thoroughbred is a later Socket A chip. Do you mean Thunderbird? Anyway, what is happening is that instead of running the FSB at 100MHz, your motherboard is running it at between 101MHz and 102MHz. This is a common trick to make the board look just that little bit faster in motherboard reviews. It won't damage your CPU.

I recently obtained a Netvista 6648-RBU with no hard drive. I have tried installing the hard dirve from my current system (Dell) but obviously do not have the correct drivers for the new machine. How do I determine what drivers that I need and where do I get them?

When the NetVista tries to boot it goes to the screen to give me the option of booting in Safe Mode, Normal Windows, or Last Known Config. All options loop back to this screen.

I googled IBM 6648 and downloaded, what I thought were the drivers, to the hard drive while it was installed in my my old system. These were exe files which I executed. I then moved the hard drive to the new machine but with the same results. I'm missing something somewhere but don't know where to look. Can anyone help? Thanks

A:Incorrect Drivers?

Hard drives are handled by the BIOS. If you are trying to boot the Netvista using the Dell HD, you won't succeed. Dell makes sure of that.

You will have to set the HD jumpers to Master. The HD should have a label on it showing which pins to jumper to acheive this. You will have to boot to a CD-ROM or floppy, then reformat the HD and reinstall all of your software. The Dell CD-ROM disk software will probably only boot a Dell computer. You will need a separate Windows disk and separate copies of your software.

Sorry.

Hi I've just finished my first System build and after runnign CPU-Z I found my Frequency on Corsair Vengeance 1866Mhz RAM to be 1333Mhz. (665 doubled approx 1333) I am wondering if I can correct this without damaging the modules, I complete their full potential without damaging themselves, and hopefully without producing much more heat.

A:RAM frequency Incorrect

The RAM frequency depends on your motherboard chipset. In other words, it doesn't matter if you have 5000Mhz RAM, if the motherboard chipset runs as 1000Mhz, the RAM will run at 1000Mhz.

What is the make and model of your motherboard, and which cpu is installed?

I know this has been posted about before, but I'm confused again.
After British Summer Time kicked in on Sunday, Windows say it went forward 1 hour, but it didn't.
If I sync the time, it is OK, but when I booted into OS X (dual-boot setup) it sets the time correctly, then going back into W7, the clock is behind an hour again.
I then noticed that my BIOS time was behind an hour as it didn't move for BST, so I reset that.
What is going on? What role does the BIOS time have in all this?
Also, I seem to recall that I put in some registry edit about UniversalTime previously.
Don't know what effect that has on all this.

A:Incorrect time - again!

Just had another thread with the same problem and British Time. It would be my hunch that the British Time change is not programmed correctly. If that is the case it may be best to wait until MS has enough complaints and sends an update.

Hello, everybody, sorry i haven't yet introduced myself but i'm in a bit of rush and will some time soon. I was working on a friend's computer that he inherited from someone else by the name of gerry. When you start up windows, it's xp professional, it displays the name Gerry for login but all you have to do is hit enter because there is no set password. however, once you're logged in, the start menu says you're logged in as co0ra, and the same thing when you check the user accounts. Even when i went to user accounts to change the name, hopefully resetting both and setting a password, i rebooted to still see the name Gerry but the new password accepted. i noticed he had tweakui installed in the add/remove programs panel but could not locate it in its usual installation location. I also didn't have the internet at my disposal so i couldn't reinstall it at the time. But i'm reasonably certain its a setting set in tweakui. Just wondering, but does the Task manager not show the correct CPU amount that is being used? I am showing 90% - 100% usage currently on task manager, while Intel XTU is showing 65%-75%, and CoreTemp showing similar numbers to Intel XTU.

Which numbers would be better to trust?

I use an i7-3770k overclocked to 4.2Ghz with Windows 8 Pro.

A:Incorrect CPU usage?

It has been awhile since I delved into this but I believe that in Windows the idle task is used in the calculation. You see it listed as System Idle Process. Then the remaining CPU usage is divided amongst the other tasks based on how much work each task has queued up. The calculation is done by the OS.

It is certainly possible that the Intel program determines CPU utilization in a different way and that would explain the difference. I think Linux does it differently also (no idle process).

You could try a Linux LiveCD and see if it reports similar numbers to the Intel program (if the Intel program has a Linux version).

So both numbers are correct. They are probably just using different algorithms. Since you are running Windows, you should go by the numbers that Windows gives since Windows will make decisions on allocation of resources based on its own calculations.

Now no dvd or game will load, and in "my computer" it tells me the E drive is being used and then to insert a disc. I either get told this or the "parameter is incorrect" message

p.s. the discs seem to spin and sound like they are loading. As well, I loaded a blank DVD disc and it seemed to read it, a window popped up asking what I wanted to do with the disc (burn or store data etc...) so it only seems to be a problem with DVDs and games. I tried uninstallin g the device and rebooting but there was no change at all.

A:Parameter is incorrect

Perhaps you shouldn't be making illegal copies of DVD's.

I have some incorrect installations in my Remove Program option and would like to know a way to get rid of them or hide them (they get annoying x_X). Is there a way to do this?

A:Incorrect Uninstallations

By "incorrect" do you mean that the program itself was successfully removed but an entry remains in Add/Remove programs? If so, run regedit and navigate to this key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UninstallIf you see the name of the program in the left hand pane under that key, you can right click on it and delete it.

Recently, I have been recieving an incorrect function error when I try to copy pictures or files to my CD burner. I can burn with the software that came with the burner (which was pre-installed with the computer), but not with the Windows CD writing wizard. I checked the Microsoft Knowledge base, and found a reference to my error, but I dont have that burning software, so I cant resolve the problem that way. I havent changed anything since it worked last (about 2 weeks ago). I have a Pavillion 504n, and Win XP and the burner came preinstalled. Anyone had a problem like this before?? The software that is installed is RecordNow.

I ran latest version of Spybot on my laptop (Windows 2000) There were several malware that Spybot wanted to remove. Ran a backup. However at one point on the process Spybot asked if I want a series of actions allowed. I clicked on allow and an endless stream of these questions began to show up. I did not click on remember these actions while allowing Spybot to delete. Got tired of doing that repetitive action and rebooted. Machine starts up, shows desktop and then desktop goes away replaced by the following applet with just a light blue screen behind it

C:WINNT\system32\command.com
The parameter is incorrect

Hit Ok but applet comes back. Hit close but applet comes back. Can only force a shutdown. Went into safemode tried "run last good configuration" ...same result. Went back into safe mode and ran the backup on Spybot to reverse actions but of course since I didn't hit remember the allowed actions the malwares were returned but the problem not fixed. Any ideas ? Thank you

Ok, I just reformatted a computer with a XP SP1 disk, but when I was updating it I found that the HDD only had a total of about 2GB. So I went to the bios to check what if it recognized more than 2GB and it had had the same ~2GB listed. I can't load anything on this computer without fixing the problem, so I've spent a good amount of time browsing through the net and haven't found any solutions.

My BIOS is A05, I checked the jumper pins and there was nothing listed as capacity limitation, it's formatted in NTFS not FAT32 and when I reformatted it there was only ~2GB available for partition. I obviously checked the label on the HDD to make sure it really was 20GB too.

I'm sure it doesn't have anything to do with using base1 or base10

Also, the computer is kinda old, it was bought in late 2001.

Any suggestions?

Let me know if I left anything out too...

A:HDD capacity incorrect

I had this happen on an old drive (not an IBM) and tried everything to get the space back. I finally did, but I can't swear as to how I did it.

I do remember connecting it to a different connector and having it redetected by the BIOS, and I also tried different partitioners until I found one that recognized the drive's size. Repartitioning and reformatting seemed to get rid of the problem, though I always assumed that it had to be the drive's electronics that caused the problem in the first place.

Try a free partitioner like Parted Magic disk partitoning tool (Bootable CD image) if you don't have any other, and also try wiping the drive before repartitioning with Darik's Boot and Nuke. You could even try a Win98 Boot Floppy and see if fdisk recognizes the true size and use it to create a new partition if it does.

I think that after I found something that saw the whole drive, I was able to partition and use it.

Check that none of the pins is bent or broken while switching to a different connection (preferably on a different channel).

Thats what its supposed to do unless you have an older Win 98 computer that doesnt have ACPI. It doesnt hurt anything anyway.

I had this working before, and I moved my computer to another room. My guess is I reconnected the monitors in a different way than I had them (I've since tried switching them).

My video card is: ATI Radeon HD 4350
It has one Digital and one Analog port on the back.

I had it setup using 1920 x 1080 on both ports (dual monitor).

But I can't get that to work again.

When I set the monitor using the VGA port to 1920x1080 then it displays 1280x720 on the monitor, but the video card is outputting 1920x1080. The display seems to scroll when the mouse is on the edge of the screen because obviously it can't display 1920x1080 on a 1280x720 resolution.

So as of now, my monitor is displaying everything really big and it's useless at this point.

Any ideas? I don't know what I did to get it working last time. And I just updated the drivers.

I am the sole user of my PC and so I set it up to by-pass the password entry screen and boot straight into the start screen.

Two weeks ago I started to receive an error message on start up. The message tells me that the username or password is incorrect, try again.

When I type in the password it goes to the start screen without a problem.

I changed the password, same result.

I decided to wait until the upgrade to the Anniversary Edition arrived , but it has not made any difference.

Help please ?

A:Incorrect User Name

Hello lumbco,

The password that you enter in netplwiz while setting up Windows to automatically sign in to your account at startup doesn't get updated if you make changes to your password. This would be why you are getting this message.

To fix this, you'll just need to set up netplwiz again using the correct password.

I was just wanting to share this.
I'm sure that many people already know this trick.

I was installing Vista Home Premium OEM (Acer notebook).
Using an OEM Installation DVD (no service pack).
When it asked for the product key. It would not accept it.
(something like "the key is incorrect")
I continued the installation without putting in a product key.
I then installed SP1, then SP2.
I was then able to enter the product key, and activate over the internet.

A:Incorrect Product Key. Possible fix for it.

Thanks for sharing your fix. Hopefully it will help others with the same problem.

A:What to do? Parameter is incorrect

First thing you need to do is stop creating multiple threads for the same issue. Do NOT create another thread, you already have 2 closed, and this will be the third, you have one remaining thread left one, that is the one you should be checking for answers. You must also be patient, this is a forum and not a chat room, answers will not be instantaneous, please wait for answers.

This is the link to your open thread: http://forums.techguy.org/windows-xp/918659-how-do-you-fix-parameter.html
