Sure hope there's someone there to help! Ever since I checked the box in IncrediMail to leave a copy of the messages on the server in order to be able to receive them on my iPhone, I have been getting duplicate incoming emails in my IncrediMail inbox! It's driving me crazy! If I uncheck the box, I do not get duplicate emails, but I also do not receive any emails on my iPhone. There has to be a way to fix this somehow. IncrediMail technical support people are retarded and offer no help whatsoever (if they even respond to your help request at all!).

As far as I am aware, I have configured both my Yahoo! and Gmail accounts correctly (they have both been working fine for a few years now) and the only change I have made is checking that %*$^ box so I could get messages on my iPhone.

Please let me know what to do!

Thank you in advance . . .

Hi guys. I got in this morning and my boss's outlook express is constantly checking for new email, and getting duplicates- sometimes 8 in a row of the same message. Is this viral? Help me out. Thanks.

A:Getting Duplicate emails, won't stop checking for mail.

Hi...

This can be a sign of a mail blockage on the server.

What type of account has your boss got...i.e POP3 etc? Do you have a webmail facility to check to see if something is corrupt on the server?

Do you get any error messages?

When you send a test email to yourself (from bosses pc to bosses pc), does that repeatedly get downloaded?

Good Evening All:
I'm in a really tough situation and any insight or help would be so very much appreciated as I'm off for a week at a business conference and yet so far at least two of my employee laptops are having this issue so far.

-Use outlook 2010 for email
-use gate.com as the host
-have had outlook 2010 for a few years now
-RANDOMLY (or so it seems) on Thursday morning me and a co-worker woke up at our hotel and she noticed that all of her emails (even ones she had deleted) were redownloading on her computer (900+)
-The good news was that it was only her computer and once they all downloaded - she just deleted them and things seemed fine
-on Friday, I woke up and my laptop was doing the same thing!

-I don't have "leave a copy of message on server" checked - that is un-checked
-the gate.com server shows NO messages on the server

Anyone have any suggestions?

Really, really appreciate any thoughts or help, as email is paramount to my work/day and with all of these duplicates, I can hardly keep up.

Thank you in advance!
-Tiffany

I am getting duplicates, triplicates and more (sometimes 20 or 30!) of some e-mails. this varies from day to day. I don't have a duplicate account. What do I do? I couldn't find an answer on the older threads. thanks.

A:Incredimail duplicate e-mails

If there is a very large email waiting to download, that could be the cause.
Basically it sounds like at least one email is stalling the download process. When that happens, you will keep re-downloading all emails until the problem email finally comes down or is removed.

So IF that is the cause, you can try manually stopping the download process. That deletes the already downloaded mails from the server, allowing you to pick up where it left off the next time you check for mail.

Ideally if you had Webmail access, you could log on and look at which mail seems to be causing the problem. Plus you could delete the mails that have been downloaded repeatedly.

What happened to my post? I had one solved, and was asking a new question (in a new thread):

If I choose to uninstall Incredimail ( and someone kindly gave a link to a whole converstion about this, thank you), how do I export the emials to Outlook Express.

This q. was also asked at the end of the long thread about uninstalling Incredimail (that I was linked to), but was not answered in that thread either.

It would be a long task to email them all to myself with the new default, and I would lose the ability to sort by "From"!!

A:Duplicate emails

Hello Heather, and welcome to Vista Forums.

Double check in Tools and Accounts in Windows Mail to see if you may have a duplicate account with the same email address. If you do, then you can just delete the duplicate to stop the messages from duplicating.

Hope this helps,

Are you sure that the emails sent from those folders are not being "split" to accommodate the larger attachment size?

Outlook Express has this setting to "break apart" larger attachments, they get recombined at the other end.

For a long time I receive duplicate copies of emails (with & without attachments) on Outlook Express. My ISP says that there is nothing in their webmail system causing duplicates; they checked several times and only one copy is transmitted to me. Must be in my system somewhere.
Also, sometimes when I forward an email with attachment the recipient gets 2 or more copies of the email. Could this be a related problem to my getting duplicate email copies?

A:Duplicate emails

This could occur if the login details in the account settings for the two accounts have been setup the same. You need to make sure you use the appropriate login details for each separate account. Does an email sent to the other address also appear in both? If so this would suggest you have a "catch-all" email address set up for your accounts.

Due to illegal charges on my credit card involving incredimail (from Overseas) I wanted to return to OE as my default email. Ihave been able to do this but find I need to go thriugh some steps to have it come up on my monitor. I used add/remove and was able to get rid of incredimail. However I very foolishly thought my email would just go to OE. I have now lost everything, including a more recent address book as well as several important saved files of sorted emails, trip itinaray and plane info etc. I have tried to use system restore for several dates some highlighted and some created by me. I also checked to see if system restore was running and properly configured as advised in another site. My computer tries but then gives me the message that nothing has changed and it failed. Will it ever be possible to get back these emails? Will I need to put incredimail back again? I am not too savy, trying to learn and ever so hopeful that someone can help . I have another email site I also use (gmail) but it was connected to the incredimail and so I am only getting current mail on it also. My daughter started all this as a surprise for me and I do so wish I had not tried without further help to get rid of it but the charges on the credit card were very worrisome, beware check your cards too. Sending emails from Incredimail I have noticed just recently they are not sending right away like normal. When I try to send them normally I am getting this error and don't know what this means:

Socket Error: 10054 , Port: 465, Protocol: SMTP. An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

What does that mean? What should I do? Is anyone familiar with Incredimail? Is this just an incredimail thing or a general email client error?

From what I understand for some reason the email sending keeps timing out. I was going to reboot to see if that helped when I just noticed that BitDefender AV is doing a scan in the background. Could that cause this? I thought AntiVirus scans (it is not scanning the email but the computer in general as I just installed it today from the official site and made sure it was up to date) were supposed to run smoothly in the background. All I can figure is my mom (this is her computer and I post on her behalf because she is computer illiterate and always coming to me for help) went afk (Away from keyboard) for a couple hours and the scan started. Is Bitdefender known to slow down a whole computer while scanning? Or is the error a unique one that only has to do with Incredimail? Stats of this computer are in my (my mom's) profile and signature.

The sites software should prevent that but if it doesnt it might be caused by a track pad driver, or adjustment. I have the same thing happen to me here @SF but the software warns me.

I use outlook 2010 for my email at home. I notice that quite often when I download my email I get duplicates and sometimes triplicates of the same messages. Trying to figure out why that is.
I do have my email set up on both my phone and my kindle fire as well. I almost never access it on my phone as I always had trouble getting the body of messages on it for some reason. I occasionally access it on my Kindle. I am wondering if this has to do with one or both of them. I haven't been able to discern a pattern. I am pretty sure in the cases of the phone and kindle I have set the messages not to be removed from the server, so that I will get them on my computer. But can't imagine why that would mean I would receive them multiple times. And it is not consistent. Not every message is repeated all the time.

My wife has a Hotmail account, and she paid for the service with Hotmail that allows her to get her Hotmail on her Blackberry (Tmobile is the provider, if that matters). I am finding out from her what application she uses to read her Hotmail on her Blackberry (I am guessing Outlook Express? But maybe not).

The problem is this. She gets emails from a number of people, including me. However, from time to time she will get duplicate emails from me on her blackberry, when I've only sent the message once. I've asked her if she gets the same duplicate messages on Hotmail on the PC - I am waiting to hear back from her. Sometimes she gets one extra copy, sometimes two copies, and sometimes it is three or more. But I am the only person she gets multiple copies of emails from. I was sending them from my work email address. Then I changed to my Gmail, but she is still getting duplicate emails on occassion, but only from me. And in fact, it seems like it may be happening more frequently since I moved to Gmail. And it doesn't seem to matter whether I send the messages from the PC or my work's iPhone.

On one hand, I think the issue has to be on her end and is a result of some link between her Blackberry and Hotmail account. On the other hand, why am I the only person she is having the duplicate email issue with.

And ideas?

XP pro SP3
Outlook 2003 SP3

Hi,

I'm having the problem where outlook 2003 (SP3) downloads the same emails more than once from my POP3 server. I have read countless forums on this and still haven't found a solution.

My situation is a little different from the others I've read but the problem it seems is the same. My laptop hard drive died recently and so I have installed a new one and restored my system from a ghost image. I have then used my .pst file from before the disk died, so I've kept all my contacts, calendar and mail, etc.

When I get outlook to download messages, I get duplicates of al my messages. I have about 20 email accounts with literally thousands of individual emails coming in. It seems if I delete them they don't come back again. I have outlook set to leave a copy on the server because I need to access my email from other locations. It is also set to delete when they are deleted from deleted items.

I've looked at my webmail and even when the mail marked as read, outlook still downloads the messages. Interestingly it didn't download old messages for my gmail account using POP3. But this is the only exception.

I read a microsoft KB article that said this issue was resolved in a hotfix that came out before SP2. I've got SP3 and it doesn't seem to be fixed.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I really don't want to be deleting emails one by one again.

Thanks for all our help,

Nick

Hi all, sorry if this is not in the right category (it kind of mixes email and applications).

I work IT for a local school and we're moving everyone's email from Rackspace email to Gmail. The way we have everyone copying old emails over is to have them setup both accounts in Apple's Mail 6.5 program (all the teachers have Macbooks) and drag and drop from one account to the other.

Here's my concern, we have several teachers who've wound up with duplicate emails in their new Gmail inboxes. Is there a quick way to get rid of the duplicates without manually having to go through each email. Is there some trick on Gmail or a usable script on Mail 6.5 (all laptops on Mountain Lion or Snow Leopard) that will help out? Or perhaps some third party program or service? Any advice would be great. Thanks.

Hi All.......I have XP and plan to upgrade to Windows 7. I originally had outlook express and because it can't be used on 7, I have switched to outlook. When I login or have been away from my pc for awhile, the server sends emails that are already in my inbox - but not all emails-just some!! Other times it will send over all of the emails - as many as 300!!! (I use my email for business and sometimes receive as many as 75 daily). I am on Yahoo/ATT & T. Also there is always a yellow triangle at the right lower corner that says "send/receive error". My pc "guru" can't fix the problem, and when I called Microsoft, I was transferred to several "techs" and hours later, some jerk tried to sell me something. I just hung up in utter frustration!! The only way I can avoid getting hundreds of dupes is to access my inbox at att.net daily and delete all the emails that have arrived on outlook. I am NOT a techie (probably obvious from this message) and would surely be most appreciative of what I need to do!!! I still have both outlook express and outlook on my pc and wonder if that could be the problem. (Still trying to figure out outlook's address book!!) Help!!! And again, many thanks!

Hi,

Due to a persistent virus, we wiped the system and reinstalled Win Vista. Verizon FiOS has a feature that when Windows Mail is reinstalled (as part of the Vista reinstallation) all the old emails appeared in the Inbox. Unfortunately, it did this 3 times so we now have 3 copies of every email in the Inbox totaling over 11,000 emails.

Is there any program that's safe to use to get rid of these duplicate emails? Some I looked at had tons of ads and I had to use system restore to get them out of my computer.

I have read threads relating to this problem but have found no solution.

I use Windows XP and have problems with Outlook 2002 receiving 2, 3 and sometimes 4 of the same message. Fortunately the duplicates do directly into my Deleted folder, but it is still tough navigating through Deleted email when in search of important email which went to Deleted automatically. That is another issue.

I have tried removing all my email accounts and starting over. That did not work. All three of my email accounts have different Incoming Mail Servers.

I know that I can follow the normal deleting process, highlight all the duplicates and the un-highlight one copy to keep but I am going to be doing that forever, and when I have done this I keep getting the error 'message could not be deleted' but with so many highlighted to delete I have to go through them all one by one to find the problem message!
I have found available software but not for using with Windows live mail, I am more than happy to buy something if needs be but I just need to get rid of these messages!
It doesn't help that I am in a rush, a recent crash on my laptop was apparently caused by malware and I have been instructed to complete a full recovery! I can't backup 43000+ emails, I certainly don't want to import them all back again after the recovery!
Please, please, if someone can kindly share any pearls of wisdom with me, it would be so very much appreciated. I may be a 'dizzy blonde' at the moment, but I am turning in to a 'completely crazy' one if I have to keep trying to delete them the old 'delete' way!

Hi,Try with MailStore Home its free for personal use.I recommend to install the program as Portable because it will be self contained in one folder easy to backup or move to another machine. When you import (archive) the mail by default the program will ignore/remove all the duplicated messages. If you have questions about the program please ask.

Hi,

I recently upgraded from Outlook 2000 to 2007 under XP SP2. I have three accounts on the same POP3 server. After installation, it threw errors importing some of my rules and disabled the rest. Some of these rules (now bad) were for moving emails arriving from each account and moving them to the appropriate folder. Since these rules wouldn't import properly (and were disabled) it put all new messages in the same folder. OK, easy enough to fix.

However, whenever I logged on it would also download duplicates of all my messages. Over 5000 messages. Sometimes triplicates. I spent around a day paintsakingly removing these. It's difficult because if I remove the wrong one, it deletes the original from my POP server. In other words, if a particular message has two or three dupes, only ONE of them is truly associated with the original (on server) and therefore cannot be deleted locally. I can however safely delete the other local copies (the original remains on the server). The problem it can be impossible to tell which copy points to the original and which doesn't. It's necessary to archive all messages on my POP server for accessing on other systems so deleting these isn't an option.

I then deleted the old rules and added new rules for putting the messages from each account into their proper folders. I immediately discovered what appears to be a new bug in 2007. Of the three accounts, when I make a rule to move messages received from account#3 and hit... Read more

A:Duplicate emails in Outlook 2007

Update: I just discovered that Outlook just deleted over 1500 emails from one of my accounts off the POP3 server! I have always specified that messages are to be left on the server. What may have done it is the new feature in Account Settings where I Changed the folder in order to tell it where to put the email. Suffice to say I'm quite upset. Does anyone know if there's a way to upload email (intact) back to the POP server?

Duplicate emails are usually caused by your ISP email server issues.
Wait couple more days and see what happens.

I have windows live mail and suddenly am being swamped by hundreds of duplicate old emails.
When I hit send/receive it says something like 9000 plus emails - delivers the few real ones and then piles up hundreds of old ones in my inbox unless I shut it down with Stop.
I have tried going onto webmail and deleting the emails but it won't let me with an error message unless it's just a few emails being deleted and doing a few at a time will take me a lifetime!
Please what can I do.

Duplicate emails after rules. I hope I can explain what I need. I have several gmail accounts forwarding to Outlook 2007. I have a rule set to forward to a specific incoming folder from Gmail to Outlook and from there to a sub folder. It's forwarding fine but it's leaves a copy in the main folder which clogs up Outlook and I have to delete. I have hundreds of incoming emails. Is there a way to set a rule to delete from the mail incoming folder AFTER it has been forwarded to the sub folder. My current rule is:

Forwards from Gmail to HomeBusiness folder

The rule is as follows:
Apply this rule after the message arrives from (Whomever)
and on this machine only move it to the (whatever) folder

That all works fine. But now there is a copy of the email in the HomeBusiness folder AND in the Whatever folder.

I created a rule to delete it but it's not working:
Apply this rule after the message arrives from (Whomever)
and on this machine move it to the (whatever) folder
and delete it.

This rule is not correct because either.

Any suggestions??? on how to delete the email from the main inbox? but keep it in the subfolder?

I'm not sure if this is a Windows problem (I have Win 7) or an email handler issue. My dh has XP, we're on a network and I'm the only one with this problem.

I constantly get duplicate emails. It doesn't matter if I leave them on the server and have them deleted in a few days, or if I don't leave them on the server and they're deleted immediately, or whether I deleted them and have read or not read them or emptied my deleted email folder. Nothing matters. I get duplicate emails and they're in quotes.... sometimes. And not all emails are duplicated. Somes days they are some days they aren't. Some days it's all of them in the am some days it's a couple of what I already received.

I can't delete these unless I drag and drop to the deleted folder. Also, the duplicates don't open a second time, it just shows an error, hence I drag and drop. This has gone on since I got Windows 7 in Aug. I had an HP laptop that had Vista that crashed in July and just started to have the problem there. But my dh and I are on the same network and I'm the only one this happens too.

I'm about ready to throw it out the window. Any ideas? I have fixed/changed upteen settings and nothing works.

Title says it all. Duplicate emails from some - not all - senders.
How canii fix this annoying problem?

A:Receiving duplicate emails in Outlook Express 6

If it's only happening with some, not all, messages, it points to a problem with the senders email provider, not yours. If it was a problem with either your email client software or your email provider, every message would be duplicated.

I have one particular contact who emails me and it always arrives twice in my mailbox. I've ascertained that the same thing happens with other people that he sends messages to, so it's evidently a problem at his end.

Hi All,
This issue is being faced by many people as i read their post. Tried to follow the things mentioned but still the problem persists

We are 6 people in an organization using outlook 2010 with a POP3 setup. Recently we started getting blank emails (NO from, to, subject and body). Date and time is shown and at times there is a valid attachment also.
Other times we get same email multiple times (around 20-25 times) from any one of the 6 people.

We have Kaspersky Internet Security Suite 2015 working on the 6 systems. No signs of infections on the system.
I will be scanning the computers for viruses/malwares.

I would like to know why is this happening and what can be done to stop this from happening.
Thanks to all

I used this same hotmail in Outlook -so deleted that account and still get these Double emails in Outlook Express. I have heard of others with this problem, before. What is causing this, how to fix? Please help - if ANYONE knows or has suggestions !!

A:OUTLOOK EXPRESS -getting DOUBLE/Duplicate Emails --help

I just foung this info on the net by doign a search, and it worked... in case this helps anyone else out there. I disabled checking for new messages automaticaly.

If a POP3 mail account is configured to leave a copy of messages on the server (Tools, Accounts, [the account], Properties, Advanced), OE downloads the same messages during a send or receive session. Duplicate message will also be downloaded which can occur if the file Pop3uidl.dbx is corrupted. This file keeps track of which messages on the server have already been downloaded and should therefore be skipped on subsequent downloads, [Q216366] and [Q314578].

a. Deleting the file Pop3uidl.dbx and subsequently checking for mail creates a new rendition that should work properly.

Note: If duplicate messages are seen on a Hotmail or IMAP account, this solution will not work because those types of accounts do not use the file Pop3uidl.dbx

b. The anomaly happens in Hotmail or IMAP accounts if the default mail account and OE is configured to both open directly to the Inbox (which downloads headers automatically) and check for new messages when starting (which also downloads headers automatically).

c. To stop the duplicates, simply choose one option or the other, but not both. Remove the check mark for When starting, go directly to my 'Inbox' folder" or the check mark for Send and receive messages at startup [Tools, Options].

Note: If duplicates are already showing, click Tools, Synchronize Account or Synch... Read more

Ok, I know why I am having a problem, but I don't know how to prevent it. I have a dual boot system with Vista32 and Vista 64. Both OS are on seperate partitions. I run Outlook 2007 on both OS installs and I only use pop3 mail. I have both installs of Outlook pointed to the same .pst file on a completely seperate drive. Everything works fine except I am getting duplicate emails because one Outlook doesn't know that the email has already been downloaded.

So, I am sharing the pst file, and I'd also like to share whatever file it is that tells Outlook which emails were already downloaded. Does this make sense? I am confusing myself just typing it.

I though about having Outlook remove the files from the pop server once downloaded, but I need them to be there for remote purposes.

Any thoughts? Hopefully somebody can relate.

Just wondering how this can be resolved. I'm stumped. This what I have tried so far to resolve this.

1. Check for a duplicate account.
2. Check to see if messages are set to break up and repeat.
3. Disabled Email Scanning by the antivirus program.
4. Checked rules for anything coping or duplicating to another folder.
5. Checked to see if "keep a copy of messages on server" is ticked.
6. Recreated the profiles with no success.

Is there anything else that I can try to resolve this? I'm lost.

O/S -: Windows XP SP3

Application -: Outlook 2003 11.8206.8202 SP3

Email Server Type -: IMAP

Background -: Recently re-installed MS Office 2003, due to Word/Exel/Outlook crashing with a 0xc00000005 exception (turned out it was a Network Printer problem which I've now resolved)

Current Problem -: Outlook is downloading TWO IDENTICAL COPY emails, and If I delete or send to Junk Folder one copy, it deletes/moves the other copy!

If I view my emails using my Web Browser based email client, I only see ONE copy of the email (as it should be)

A couple of things I've noticed about Outlook behaving differently is -:
a) The Send/Receive progress % does'nt show anymore

b) If I navigate on Outlook to Tools, Option, Mail Setup - when I select the Send/Receive Options, nothing happens (there are no further options). the same is true if I try to access the Send/Receive Options via the toolbar

c) The 1st of the duplicate emails is blank with the following header -: "This is a message header. The Full Item has not been downloaded", the 2nd duplicate email has the relevant email information

Any ideas?

I was going to follow a suggestion I found of unchecking "leave a copy of msgs on server", but I can't locate that in any of the options or preferences. where is it? or is there something better to do?

A:Outlook 2007 suddenly downloading duplicate old emails

it looks like the server thinks you have not seen these messages before

in pop settings you should see the option
BUT if you do change that - it will delete all the messages from the server and then you wont have a copy other than whats on the PC PST file for outlook

Personally i would probably just let them arrive and deal with the duplicates

Oh, man! Today is NOT a good day!

When I got in to the office, the internet was down. Well, it wasn’t just down - the server had crashed, so we were incommunicado for the entire morning.

Now we’re back up, and I went to send out a message (in Outlook 2002 with internet email) using 4 of the distribution lists, and a few attachments.

The problem- some of the people who received it got up to 7 copies of the e-mail!!! Now, I checked the lists, thinking that maybe their names were duplicated, but nope.

This was a big e-mail size-wise. And, to top it all off, I kept on getting e-mails from sender [email protected] with incident information!! It had “report to sender” in the subject line, and listed all the individuals e-mails on the distro lists.

WHAT HAPPENED?!?! I’m getting angry calls form members who just had their inboxes clogged with 5 copies of the same message!!!!

HELP- I’m here til 5!!!

I maintain a basic database in Excel 2000 and use Word 2000 to do an email merge. There are about 130 records on the list and the emails go to my outbox in my earthlink account. The first time I did it, I merged all records at one time and everyone received the same email twice. The second time I did it, I merged about 20-30 at a time, in different batches, but it still duplicated everyone. Any suggestions on what's going on and then how I can fix it/create a work-around. (One I've half considered is importing the Excel file to Access and trying it from there...but I'm not an Access expert and I'm hoping someone has an 'easier' solution.)

Hi MasterNe0

What version of Outlook are you using?

At www.slipstick.com use the key words: remove duplicates
most of the results were trials and not freeware.

At least one tool was free:

http://www.vaita.com/ODIR.asp

You might also consider making a copy of the .pst file before running any tools, just in case of unexpected or undesired results.
Let us know if one of those works for you, or not.

I have a customer who is receiving duplicate emails because their name is in the To line and they are also included in an AD group in the Cc line. We are in the process of migrating from Lotus Notes to Outlook 2010 and I do not yet have access to Outlook (Exchange) to try a hands-on approach to test for the customer, but I need a rule to delete (or move) the duplicate emails the customer is receiving, so he is only left working with one copy of the email.

So, I guess it needs to be something to the effect of:

Condition:
where my name is in the To or Cc box
AND
where my name is included in the AD group XYZ

Action:
Delete (or Move) the message to the Trash (or specified folder)

Can this be done? Thanks in advance!

If you are talking about spam, there is only one solution.

Have 2 email addys, one for your friends, and only them. Do not post it on the web or for any reason

Have a second for web purposes.

A:how do I stop these emails

I would suspect that your email account has been hacked and it is being used to send out spam email, some of which is bouncing back, hence getting the messages you are receiving. The definitive cure depends on what sort of email you have (webmail, company email, standard ISP email or whatever) but the first thing to do is to log into your email account and change your password - this might be enough but if not then post back with more info."I've always been mad, I know I've been mad, like the most of us..." You are probably getting emails, because you gave it a certains sites. Think about it ever give your addy to get something free or to join a club, etc.
Dont give your address, do what I do. I have a spam address. It online and I could forget about it. If I want some information, but have to give my addy, I give the spam addy.
You do not have to do this with reputable addy, such as your bank, electric company, cable company etc. Just at those sites you do not know. Want to know how much unwanted mail, I get, none?
I is unlikely that because you visit a site, they can pick up your addy.

A:Stop AOL from telling me how many emails I have when I logon...?

Try this

Go to Start | run

Type in regedit
In the left pane, find the following Key

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\
UnreadMail

In the right pane, Double-click MessageExpiryDays
Change the value to 0, then click OK.
Close the registry editor

Reboot your computer

See if it still shows

I'm getting unsolicited emails from Microsoft about Windows 10. I see no option in the email or in my MS account to unsubscribe. There are no subscriptions in my Communications Centre to unsubscribe to, either. How do I get Microsoft to stop sending me these kinds of messages? A snippet of one is attached. Thanks.

Hi,

I am using WLM with Win 10. I have since June 20 switched the account over to IMAP in Hotmail. Just recently every time I send an email it shows in the "SENT" folder twice but it is only received once by the recipient? Does anyone know why this is taking place and what I can do to correct it? I am neve sure the recipient is getting it once or twice which results in me asking to ensure I am not cluttering up their "Inbox".

Any help on this would be good.

Thanks

A:How to Stop Spam Emails in Outlook Express 6?

Hi bushibashir

One way to stop Spam from entering in your Inbox is to install MailWasher. This program sits on your desktop and all mail comes in via this. From here you can view your mail (without the senders knowing) and delete any you do not want. There is a box you can tick for all Spam emails so that when they arrive again, it will be automaticallly deleted without any more intervention.

At this point, all mail is still on the actual ISP server. Once you have vetted the mail, you can allow in the ones you want into your Inbox without worry.

Good Evening,

Could someone please assist me.

Two days ago, I began receiving repeat emails (even up to 10 times), i.e., receiving message 535 of 2655. It was suggested that I create a new profile but after it downloaded all the emails the same problem occurred on that profile as well. It appears to have a never ending loop.

I am back to square one. I have a server on optimum online and of coure the emails are downloaded onto outlook. I have XP Pro version 2002.

Every email that appears in my Windows mail (Windows 8.1) is duplicated. An online search for information is either outdated or applies to a different OS. I tried one suggestion which was to right-click All Mail and hide the folder (apparently unread and all mail are appearing at the same time?) but there isn't an option to hide the folder. My email account is gmail. It is annoying me intensely now so would love to solve it!

A:How do I stop emails in Windows mail appearing twice?

" 'imap.gmail.com'"I would in your email client, create another account, same as your other one, except the new one will be POP.Import what you want out of your IMAP account ( including Address's ) & when you are all happy, delete the IMAP account.

Morning all,

Last time I imported a .pst file into a new installation of Outlook '07 it brought in all my emails just fine, but then re-downloaded all of them (because a copy is kept on the server). I now need to do this again on another computer (different .pst and email accounts), and don't want to run into the same problem. How can I avoid this problem?

Also, I read a brief guide on importing the .pst file, and it described adding the email account first, and then importing the .pst. Do I need to do this for all the email accounts before importing the .pst, or just one to gain access to Outlook? I normally use a Mac, and am doing this as a favor for my boss, so please forgive me for the tedious questions!

Thanks.

A:Stop Outlook '07 from re-downloading emails after importing .pst

Hi lukenn

Personally, I just connect the .pst file to the new profile, in Outlook, avoiding the Import process.
Connecting the .pst file is a snap.
File > Open > Outlook Data File
Browse to the location of the .pst file and select it.
But even connecting the .pst file is not going to eliminate the downloading of the older messages. The new profile doesn't know what was downloaded by the previous profile.

What you could do is move everything out of the Inbox, into another folder, before allowing Outlook to connect to the mail server. Then connect to the mail server. After the messages are downloaded you would then be able to delete most of the messages from the Inbox, since they are duplicates.

Or as advised here: http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/duplicates.htm#Profile_Recreation
Start Outlook at least once with its new .pst file and allow it to collect the messages.
Then connect the old .pst file and make it the default delivery location.
No, you do not need to configure an e-mail account to access Outlook. You should be able to skip that part of the process.
You do need to configure an e-mail account to do anything beyond accessing Outlook.

Hi. Yesterday I needed to convert a PDF file to a JPEG file. I went online and found that Zamzar does it for free. I clicked a few options and it did the conversion. I also had clicked it to email me the converted doc but I kept stopping it every time it tried to do it yesterday beause it was taking so long.

This morning I decided to just let it download and then delete it, as it keeps trying every time I pull my email up (I have even shut down my computer), but it is now 6 1/2 hours later and it is still running. It is at almost at 500,000. I have windows live mail and I just want to know how to get this off my computer for good and make it stop trying to download this document. I have tried going into Control Panel but Zamzar has not been installed and I have deleted my cookies etc... THANKS!!

A:One email won't stop downloading & I can't get/send any other emails

Have you tried going to or calling the facility where the Servers are located to have them delete that particular email?
