12 HOURS LEFT .

EaseusPMPro.zip

Works on 7 32 and 64 bit. Does not include partition undelete feature - they do a separate partition table doctor program.

Will copy partition into smaller target ( must be larger than the used space on source, obviously).

Disk Management and The Reference Paragon PM Pro accept the changes made by Easeus.

Tested this out briefly - and have used their earlier versions - so far found them to be completely reliable.

EaseUS Partition Master provides all the tools necessary to manage your hard drive?s partitions. First of all, you?ll be able to perform basic operations, you can easily create, format, delete, explore and, of course, label partitions.

Advanced partitioning options are also available: using EaseUS Partition Master you can resize, move, merge, split, wipe, hide/unhide your partitions. Using the software?s built-in wizards, you can also copy a disk or partition.

Keep in mind that basic and advanced partitioning options are available both from the program?s Windows application and its bootable disk.

The app also provides a wide array of useful tools: EaseUS Partition Master can used to set an active partition, rebuild the MBR or even convert partitions (primary to logical, logical to primary, FAT to NTFS)

I just want to have another local disk on "MY COMPUTER". I used to have 2: "C" and "D" but I it became one when I installed Windows 7 Home Premium. Just let me know what information u need. Thank you.

A:How to create another local disk using EASEUS Partition Master 6.1.1 Home Edition?

I'm assuming this is your HP Mini 110
The D partition was probably the HP Recovery Partition ..
It's not needed (can't be used) with the newer W7.

Are you trying to create a separate Partition ... Something like this ???
Windows 7 should be able to do this by Shrinking the C Partition ..
Then it can add another partition in the space left over after the shrink.

And Welcome to the TSG Forum

Just received my ASUS X501A from RMA repair. (for the same reasons) The C drive was 80gb and D drive was huge, so I used Easeus partition master to adjust the partition sizes, making the C drive bigger, preferred.

That was all I did, now the Windows 8 recovery process will not initialize.

When I do this with the other brand notebooks I own eg. HP, Vaio, Acer, adjusting partition sizes is no problem.

I did nothing to the recovery partition, only changed C/D drive partition sizes.

Did not create restore point.

I there anything I can do to resolve this.

Thank you in advance...HG.

This concerns Easeus Todo Backup Free Edition

Everytime I backup to my 120GB HP drive it gets to about three quarters of the way through and then freezes; however, when I backup to what is the initial default folder, C:\My Backups, it works perfectly to the end. What is odd is when I cancel it (because it is frozen) I go back into the program and the Logs say the backup to F: has been Successful. I am doing a Full File Backup using the File Types (Documents, Music, Pictures, Financial, Videos) option. I am using:
EaseUS ToDo Backup Free 6.1
Windows XP SP3
I have 2GB RAM.
I have checked and there is enough space on the external drive.

When I would transfer MP3 to a 16 GB Flash Drive or larger I would have a problem
adding new MP3 Folders... They would play after copy but when I took out the Flash Drive
and put it back in... or Refreshed the Drive in other words ... The MP3 Files Would Not Play...
The Problem was fixed when I converted the Fat32 to NTFS using EaseUS Partition Master
I had to delete the Bad Copys but when I transfered them to the Drive that was now NTFS
The Files would play after the drive was refreshed...   I hope this helps... also NTFS can recover
info when you run chkdsk /f from the dos prompt... that may also help.. just a suggestion.

It's even the latest version and Vista-compatible.

Even if you don't really need it, install it and make the boot CD since all partitioning tasks can be performed from it. It's a pretty simple program and has none of the features of more advanced partitioners, like Acronis or Paragon, but it has all you need to make and change partitions for common partitioning jobs.

If you notice other threads at TechGuy or at any of your favorite sites, you could point them to that page.

You should turn off the Standard Shield in Avast for now, in order to have a usable computer.... depending on how your Avast settings are, you may have files going to the Virus Chest or being deleted....or ignored.

To turn off Standard Shield which unfortunately, leaves you without some protection.... right click the "A" Avast icon and select "On-Access Protection Control" and, in the list of shields on the left, go to Standard Shield and hit the Terminate button..... You will have to re-enable this Shield, when the problem has been fixed. Usually, they issue a new Update which fixes Avast's program, but of course you have to deal with any files that may have been Deleted or Moved to the Chest, etc

I?ve already seen Paragon was giving Partition Manager Pro for free for a short while. I?ve downloaded and installed it successfully. Those who missed that day, can get it till October 25.
Here is the link: Paragon Partition Manager 9.5 As I can understand, they?ve just opened freeware downloads page. And sometimes commercial software will appear there for free. Very friendly I think for me it?s just like I earn 80 bucks for nothing (professional version of Partition Manager 10 costs $79.95)

So, what do we have here (taken from Partition Manager 10 site, but it works for 9.5):
Advanced Partitioning Operations: Enlarge NTFS partitions without rebooting Windows or interrupting your work, repartition hard disks without data loss, redistribute free space between partitions, merge two partitions to one etc.
Apple? BootCamp Support: Redistribute unused space between Mac? OS X and Windows partitions (great for me!)
Initial Backup Facility
Safe Defragmentation Mode
Etc.
Full feature list is here . The difference is that 9.5 doesn?t support Windows 7.
The program runs on Windows 2000, XP and Vista (32 or 64 bit).
And Paragon provides user support only for the promo period. And only on Twitter . No WinPE included.
You will need to input your email on registration page to get a free serial ? that is your only payment for the soft.

A:Paragon Partition Manager 9.5 Professional Free download

The difference is that 9.5 doesn’t support Windows 7.

Actually - they don't claim it - but it does support Windows 7.

I have been using for a while on my 7 x64 - it works perfectly.

It is exactly the same build as the PM10

The only you don't get - is the WinPE disc and Adaptive restore feature. Run off the bootable Linux/dos cd from within the program to get it in bootable form.

Terriffic opportunity to get a great piece of software - Paragon are the best in Hard Disk Management.

I am using Macrium without any problems. Could you post a screen shot of your Disk Management. That will give us a better idea of what we are dealing with. == Also, did it back up a few times and it stopped working or it just never backed up at all on Win 7?

This is usually caused by a unsuccessful clone or recovery operation, but if the error persists after a new attempt. Then there might be some other factor which results in the error. Reading this article will bring you some ideas how to solve a certain boot issue. TroubleshootingNumerous reasons exist for the unbootable failure, but we can narrow down the options based on different symptoms. For example, the problem may be as simple as a disconnected power cable. Whatever the solution, please follow the steps for each specific boot issue below..Does that apply?

Noticed on their website, that you cannot hardly discover the link to the "Free" version of the software anymore.

For the time being, if you hit their website, and type "Free" in the search box at the top you can still find this link, which has the copy of the software still available for download;

I am using the newest edition of Easeus Partition Manager Home/Free edition and I am unable to add any space to the "F:\" partition. I have been able to change all of the others around just fine, but I cannot move the unallocated space into the F partition or even move F over to the left.

Windows reboots and goes into the manager as normal before the Windows boot and I always get a message that there is an error on the disk and Easeus cannot continue. And then it just cancels the operation.

I have some knowledge in the program, but I haven't the slightest why it is claiming I have an error, or what that error could be. If anyone knows of a way to fix this, I would appreciate it.

We do not recommend Easeus for Win7 as we hear regularly of total data loss on resizing operations.

The manager we recommend here is free Partition Wizard bootable CD which has helped with hundreds of partitioning operations here. Free Download Magic Partition Manager Software - Partition Wizard Online

Hi there - installed the RC when it came out, and today I used the free version of EASEUS to add one partition. After the partition change, it rebooted and I got an error that said Windows detected some kind of problem (like a moron I didn't write the error # down) and that I needed to repair using the installation disk.

So I stuck in the 7 DVD and clicked on repair, which was the recommended option. Only other option was to start normally. After a few seconds of scanning it restarted, and I got the same error message, and again, the option to repair or to start normally. This time I started normally and 7 loaded fine. New partition was there and it seems to be working ok.

On the EASEUS forums, they said it should be compatible with 7. But they're not testing with the beta, and I guess the RC but I didn't read that.

Am I asking for trouble if I don't clean install 7 again, and just keep using the new partition?

"TODO" is the new free program from Easeus.

It offers drive/partition imaging, cloning, and the ability to mount images and restore individual files/folders as needed.

I tested it on Windows 7x64.

It imaged a 25gb o/s partition in about 20 mins and the image size was around 9gb.

Mounting the image and extracting files was successful.

I have not ( yet) tried to restore the image.

It is certainly faster than TODO - and compression is slightly better. It does not have a cloning function, but does provide scheduling.

I have restored numerous images successfully with the Macrium on x64 o/s.

A:Free Disk Image Program from Easeus.

The Macrium Reflect program took about 50minutes to backup an entire 465gb available 500gb drive seeing about 85gb of space used on a spare drive. That included all types of updates and other files stored in custom folders on the drive besides the Vista installation itself when first looked at.

Up until recently the now free for home use version was simply a shareware to try out until Macrium decided on making the free edition available. It's an excellent program and best yet "free of charge" there!

EaseUS ToDo Backup Free 6.1 emergency disk won't boot from USB.

That's the long and the short of it. I changed the boot priority in BIOS to boot the USB first. I got it to read the USB key one time when plugged into the USB 2.0 port. While the busy circles were twirling I got a "please wait." Then I got a command prompt flicker, then a screen from Windows saying it did not boot properly.

So I turned off Secure Boot. Made the USB boot stick over again. Now I get nada no matter what. I hold down the power button to shut down. When I power back up it just goes to the regular logon screen.

I was hoping to be able to boot off the stick to avoid buying a 5 pack of CDR just to burn one disc. At least for now to have my system backed up.

I have tried twice, to update my 8.1 to 10 but have failed with the error Code 80070003. I gave up the attempts but now hope that either Microsoft or EaseUS have provided a fix for this error. However, it seems that neither company wish to resolve it. After much searching and reading on the 'net, I have been following a similar post (sorry, don't seem to be able to get the link to work) on this forum.
Windows 8.1 Recovery - Could not find recovery environment

I have the same issue: I have partitioned my C drive to have 2 extra partitions.
Comparing the above image to the DISK PART I have different partitions and I am not sure which is which.
I am unsure which partitions need renaming with a change of ID. I also need an explanation as to the partition IDs: How do you know what they are, where can you find them.

Being 70 years old, I am somewhat at a loss of all the technical terms used.

Many thanks in advance.

I hope you can see the images; I set them to nearly the maximum width or height as specified, but they have come out very small.
(Edit: Images appear much large in the post)

A:EaseUS Partition Manager and Windows 10 upgrade

You already seem to recognize the problems of using EaseUS to alter partitions. You also probably realize looking at the partition structure with different utilities will give you different information, such as EaseUS showing partition as NTFS where Diskpart shows it as OEM.

The second 1000 MB partition showing as OEM is normal if I remember correctly. I do not, however, remember it showing as FAT32. In some cases multiple FAT32 partitions will cause problems for a UEFI install as you have. This will happen with Linux installs which also will set some partitions in this manner. But I will have to do some research to see if I can find out for sure.

If the other partitions on your system now marked as OEM are involved, you may need to change them back. Since it has been a while, I will have to find the threads showing how to do this. If you don't think you will be able to change them, you may want to see if you have the means of restoring your system back to a factory default, which probably means you need external media.

The other option might be to purchase Windows 10 and do a clean install which would wipe your hard drive.

Someone will get back to you before the end of the day.

I used to boot into Win8 which has been installed on a partition with drive letter W.
After I ran EaseUS partion manager (Best partition manager software - EaseUS Partition Master Family.), the partition has been enlarged, and at first glance I am able to boot.

Unfortunately, my login screen is not customized anymore (does not display background pictures, apps et cetera), and upon login I can hardly do anything (no desktop is displayed, I cannot start an explorer instance et cetera). Guest logins are automatically kicked out.

Upon logging in (it has remembered by username, and apparently my credentials) it just says 'Preparing Windows' for some time, en then displays a blank screen, in which I can see my mouse, and with ctrl-alt-del get some options, but I'm not able to start the task manager.

When I reboot into safe mode (which is way more hidden than in Win7) I ?m able to start a task manager, en from the I can run items, browse my PC et cetera. However, I can see that my drive letter has been changed from W to E. Most of the application I start are broken, like when I start the MSC snap-in in order to maybe change the drive letter using Windows' built-in partition manager, it state it is broken.
When I try to change the drive letter using the command prompt and 'diskpart', I'm not allowed, as the drive I want to assign a drive letter to is a system drive.

I seem to have suffered no data loss (I've got most stuff backed up anyway) but don't want to re-install either.

Hi. So I have just installed my Windows 7 Professional x86 w/ SP1 today... the Internet Explorer 11 is just outstandingly amazing! So lite and quick at all.

I've managed to complete with all my software at the same day.

Fonts are brilliant (are well). I can tell that it is +35% faster and "compact on operations" than my old Windows XP Professional x86 w/ SP3.

the after-install setup is short, easy and not in any obligation. Skype runs well. Facebook under IE11 runs well. Bing for IE11 is just amazing too.

Emsisoft IS runs good. Zip/unzip program runs great as well - not of any errors anywhere, at all.

KM Player installed and is functioning well.

.....no problems with defragmentations.

I have resized Windows XP and Windows 7 partitions to 34GB both, I was using EASE-US Partition Master Home Edition, that is freeware (34 - a, 34 - b, and the rest is for storage; I have a small 500GB WD HDD). In future I might order +1000GB HDD for more of the storage, for my movies collection.

Should I take a +2000GB HDD right away?
So okay, that's all for now. Hugs.

...I'll be adding something if there's something.
P.S. Today is my father's birthday - he turned 58! Greetings!!

A:mine Windows 7 Professional, just installed today - my thoughts on it

May I recommend the following?
Don't lose your Win7 install disc and your 25 character product key
--- I know too many people who have done that
Create a system image onto an external hard drive and set up a schedule that suits you to maintain system images
--- Before you create a system image make sure the computer is clean and secure
--- I'm finally starting to do mine on a monthly basis
Create a System Repair disc

On the 2TB HDD right away, it sounds to me like it would be a good idea as least as soon as possible since you mention video collection in addition to more storage

I am using the Olympus Camedia Master 4.2 software with my Olympus C-765 camera. I normally transfer images from the camera into files in my C drive under the heading C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\OLYMPUS\Camedia Master 4\Album. I have 16 folders in this Album and until yesterday all those folders had a number of pictures in them. Yesterday, I transferred several pictures from the camera into two of those folders. When I browsed those folders they both had over 30 images in them. I then transferred several pictures from the camera into a different section of the C drive, sending them to a file with some scanned images already in it. The largest two scan files in that folder were of 468MB and 2.0GB. After the transfer I selected Browse and Camedia Master called up that file, displaying both the scanned images and the images just transferred from the C-765 camera. I clicked on one of the scanned image thumbnails but Camedia could not display a larger image of it. After that I went back to browse images in my normally used folders, in the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\OLYMPUS\Camedia Master 4\Album location, and found that most of my 16 folders were now empty. The two folders that I had just transferred images into now had only four images in them. These were TIF images that had been loaded months ago. All the other images, which may all have been JPEG, were gone. All my other 12 folders with 2008 photos in them were completely empty... Read more

Yes, your computer should be able to run the x64 version of windows. Just be cautioned that there aren't a lot of drivers out there for it, so it might not be worth it if you have to buy all new equipment to get it to run right. I was foolish and bought it about a year and a half ago when i built my main box, and figured it was the next thing and i wouldn't have to wait for drivers. Well, i uninstalled it about a month later and it sits there collecting dust. I did notice it was slightly faster than the 32 bit version, but the pitfalls of not having my hardware work turned me off.

Excerpt:
You don't have to turn off your firewall! Simply
open up port 50300. Since O&O
Defrag automatically checks access privileges,
there can be no external access

I informed them that I had no intention of opening any ports and have since fashioned a workaround which allows me to use the program without these 2 files accessing the internet

I think it would run. Can't think of a feature not included in XP Home that would be needed by a geneaology program. Anyway, if the developers of the GFT are smart, why would they create a program, obviously aimed at the comsumer market, that doesn't run on XP Home, the consumer version of Windows ???

Here's a link that explains some of the differences between XP Home and XP Pro

As you can see, they are mostly related to security/networking, so I don't think it would be a problem for GFT

Morning Guys,

I have an old fully functioning notebook which is currently running the Windows XP Home Edition (2002). The notebook is still in working condition and I've recently decided to upgrade its RAM and OS.
However, a few days ago it was infected with a malicious virus which I'm certain is NOT in the OS but in the Master Boot Record. Reasons for deciding so include:

1. I've ran everything under the sun and there's no detection;
2. Internet connection is on in the system tray, but I'm barred from accessing any sites regardless of which browser I use (only page it allows is the microsoft page - the start up page on IE8);
3. I've uninstall some programmes (Firefox and Avast), but they are still present in the laptop;
4. My address bar in windows explorer is hidden even after I've put a tick to show it;
5. Every time immediately after I clicked on Shut down, my USB antivirus Real Time Protection notification bubble appears.

I am no expert when it comes to removing viruses, but I've been online searching for possible ways to remove this horror as I would like to upgrade my laptop to a newer OS. Even my USB is infected - the virus completely wiped out its content and planted itself in an invisible System Volume Information folder, which also denies access to anyone or anything that tries to remove it.

Yah, Linux and Mac operating system are great in certain aspects and for Windows XP -- If it ain't broke, don't fix it mentality. Yah, there is some truth and you can make your case, but I am not going to go there here. Have you been deciding on what edition of Windows 7 to buy? I have spent a few hours deciding on the edition of the new Windows 7 I want to buy and I was rash in buying Windows Home Premium. Gosh. Sorry about your issues. I have helped a few dozen people install all flavors of Windows 7 with few issues.

And as for the rest of your post, I pretty much lost interest after a few sentences. Did you have a question in there, or were you just griping?

How can i find out if the restoration disc (3 discs) have the office 2003 pro on it if something happenes to my laptop that i purchased from a relation who got the laptop new with it already on there. Could i optain the office 2003 pro cd from somewhere? It is an Acer Aspire 3000 Widescreen Sempron processor CD burner and DVD player.

How can i find out if the restoration disc (3 discs) have the office 2003 pro on it if something happenes to my laptopScan the disks for an "Office 11" folder , that's Office 2003. If you locate it, check the folders properties. Full reinstall version will be about 400mb worth. It's not likely, though not impossible, that Office is on your OEM installation disks. Get a drive backup plan in place before the inevitable happens.

Okay guys, this will be a doozy!

I own a business that does background investigations.
Point people to my website to answer character questionnaires. When those questionnaires are submitted their forward to my e-mail address and when opened in Microsoft Outlook professional they are missing the, "from" field. In other words, the from field is blank. When I open up the same e-mail in Outlook 2003 basic, the information appears as, "on behalf of John Doe.

I'm using Microsoft Outlook professional and patched with SP 3. I have had my website examined by a webmaster and they cannot determine that it has anything to do with forms which are written in PHP.

This site worked beautifully until about two months ago when this behavior started. I cannot correlate any changes I made to Outlook 2003 professional or my website, which would cause this behavior. I'm also using Windows 7 on the PC and Windows XP on the laptop.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Steven

Hello. For those who need some guidance who want Windows 7, I have something I want to share. Forget the Windows bashing and staying with Windows XP right now. An excellent question.

Windows 7 just came out just over 3 weeks ago. I think it may be a bit premature to try and predict what may or may not happen with Windows 7 in 2015, let alone 2020. Besides.... things can change as each page tells you -

Hello, here I am again with a question.

I have a computer running Windows XP home addition, works fine, no known problems at all.
I have been bought a copy of XP Professional, can this be installed by overwriting Home edition, OR, do I need to uninstall Home edition then install professional ?

Many thanks for any advise;.

Tony.

A:Windows Xp Home Edition To Xp Professional ?

You have nothing to lose by trying this way, if it dos'nt work start afresh.

Upgrade XP Home to Pro
You can do an unattend installation of XP:
Insert a legit XP-Pro CD into your CD-ROM.
If the Welcome to Microsoft Windows screen comes up, click EXIT
Leave the CD in drive.
Now click
START
RUN
Type into the Open Line: D:\i386\winnt32.exe /unattend
And click OK. If your CD-ROM is not D, then replace D with your CD-ROM letter.
The only question that will be asked is the Product key.
If you just reinstall same Windows, it will ask NO questions at all. Now you need to activate.
All settings and installed programs will be saved and unchanged.

Greetings and salutations fellows! I have been researching on Windows XP Professional Edition operating system from many perspectives from its developers to its users and have not been able to have a rough gauge on its limitations about its figures and numbers according to its maximum value supporting protocols. My question is that “Does Windows XP Professional Edition Service Pack 3 on a P4 2.4 GHz 4 GB RAM with 80 GB PATA HDD {windows installed on PATA Drive} and 2 TB SATA HDD has any limitations on the number of an average of 200 MB softwares or programs that can be installed on the system before it starts to overload or slow down. I know it depends on a lot of factors but I need someone to humor me in a hypothetical situation; just wanted to know how many programs i can install because i use a lot of programs, is there a limit to the number of programs? my desktop is slowing down so i need to know whether it depends on the size of the windows folder or the registry entries. My windows folder is 12 GB and there are no errors or viruses; i have done all of the maintenance and optimization services. There is a definite or absolute memory leak with the hard disk slinging and thrashing. I have Bitdefender Antivirus Pro 2011 installed as well and it is working fine and did not slow down the system before plus i have removed all secondary non-essential programs that run at start up and in windows services. I have also scanned the system using 6 different kinds of antivirus soft... Read more

Ive never heard of 240 programs being needed in a computer.I would think the computer would be slower than a snail. All i know the pro version of xp was to be used for business use and the home version was to be used for non business use.I dont know what the limitations are but all of those programs might be pushing it.

I have a problem with the office 2003 edition when i use word or outlook to type something on the font size it is 12 but when i start to type it changes to 6 but the font stills says 12 and also the font color is defaultly black right but when i type it changes to blue and it shows black on the letter. and i have already went to add and remove programs and tried it that way but it did not work and i have tried putting cd in without deleting and seeing if it puts missing files automatically and that did not work.
I was wondering has anybody ever seen this and if they did can u tell me what to do?

A:Office 2003 professional edition

There is a high probability it results from a corrupted "normal.dot" file, which will not be replaced or repaired by reinstalling.

Go here:

Try step 3 of "Troubleshooting Word", you need to scroll down to get to it.

Welcome to TSG....

First thing is to backup all of the important data (Not Programs) to another media like CD-R's, DVD or thumb drive. Then using the Windows XP upgrade disk making sure you have the legal key code for this disk just insert the disk in the CD-ROM drive and follow the prompts and if anything goes wrong call Microsoft or post back here with the error message and write it down.

This article may help read it first all the way thru and f you want to print it out for reference.\\

My answer is, I have no idea... I wouldn't even begin to try put some kind of math calculation on it. While a P4 computer can still be useful for lots of tasks, it is outdated by several years. A faster computer is the easiest answer and the best solution. The more programs and files you install on any hard drive, the slower your access times will be.
