Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 problem when using Microsoft Office

Q: Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 problem when using Microsoft Office

When I sent a message and when I was using Microsoft Office Outlook 2003, I had an option that enabled me to add a photo following or preceding my text. This option enabled me to put a photo in the text area and place text under or above the photo explaining the photo. I am now running Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 using Windows Home Premium 64 bit and I cannot find this option. If this is no longer an option, how can I place a photo in the text area and then follow with text explaining the photo? If this is not possible, I guess this new version is a downgrade!
Thanks in advance and I will appreciate an answer.

Ok, so I got a Trojan virus and had to use Dell Datasafe to delete everthing on my computer and reinstall windows. Now, when I open any of the Microsoft Office programs it asks for a key, which i don't have. I never got an office CD with my computer, so where do i find my key? If it helps, here's my computer info:

OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium , 64 bit
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU P7450 @ 2.13GHz, Intel64 Family 6 Model 23 Stepping 10

A:Problem With Microsoft Office 2007 Office

How did you reinstall Office if you didn't have the CD for it?
The key should have been included with the documentation when you bought your PC. Unfortunately if it's not included in the documentation there is little likelyhood that you will be able to recover it now you have wiped everything. Have you contacted Dell for support?

A:Microsoft Office Outlook 2007

You'll need the installation CD/DVD to install on another machine and you'll need a license that can be used. All emails, contacts, etc is saved to PST files. If you don't know the location, search the boot volume for *.pst and you should find them.

A:Microsoft Office Outlook 2007

Just as you are able to use different browsers, you are also able to use different email clients, although only one of these can be the default. As I only have IE, I cannot say whether or not you can have a different default client for each browser. I would also check that you can access the web interface version for you emails just in case you have problems with either or both email clients.

Hi, am wondering if any one can help me with this problem. Actually, there are 2 problems I need help with.

I am using Vista with office 2007. When the PC has been left on for a while, my email (outlook) won't open. Well, when I say it won't open, I mean it will open and load up the main template, but will disapear within about a second and close. When I place my curser on the icon in my task bar, that also disapears. This will happen until I re-boot the PC, and then it will work fine again.

Any ideas?

Also, I'm getting 4 random left mouse clicks every 30 seconds. Although these mouse clicks are not opening any thing, I'm getting th sound, plus it stops any typing that I may be doing. I'm using a logitech cordless mouse. I would tell you which model but that has rubbed off through the amount of browsing that I do, lol.

A:Microsoft Office 2007 Outlook

For Outlook, it is possible something is hanging - antivirus or anti-spam addin, or a module of the program itself, etc. I would first suggest checking your Task List (CTR+ALT+DEL) for additional instances of Outlook which would indicate the program is not closing properly.

You can try repairing your installation of Office, using the install CD. If that does not work, you can try disconnecting your computer from the Internet, and uninstalling both Office and your antivirus software. Reinstall Office first, then your antivirus. See if that fixes the issue.

Hi all.

I have recently moved my email client from Windows Live Mail to Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 email client.

The transition was smooth and all my folders moved across smoothly. Well almost, and there lays my question.

Whenever I now open an incoming email, no problems there.

However whenever I open an email that came across from WLM in a folder, Outlook displays an information box prior to that email opening.

This info box is entitled "Microsoft Office Outlook", and the message that it contains is as follows:

"The custom form cannot be opened. Outlook will use an Outlook form instead. The object could not be found" (and an OK button).

I click OK button and the email now opens up for me to read. I can close the email and if I try opening it up again, I get the same info box again.

While this does not present any great problem, it is very annoying having this thing pop up every time I try to open the email, especially when I am looking for a specific email.

Can anyone please shed some light on this problem and how I may be able to eliminate this critter?

Regards

I recently removed admin rights from our end user computers (XP Pro-32bit). Everything works great using the "run as" option, except for Outlook 2007. That option doesn't seem to be available for Outlook. Whenever a user launches, they receive an error message stating "Cannot Start Microsoft Office Outlook." The only way to get Outlook to launch is to return local admin rights. All other Office products work.
We are using an Exchange server, though it is in another office, and I do not have access to it. The end users have full control access to C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Application Data\Microsoft\Office and C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook. I also granted them access to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Office.
Is there anything else I need to give them access to? Any other ideas? I completed the installation of the software with admin rights, and am only now taking them away. I thought maybe there was an Active Directory issue here (since I inherited our current PDC and the associated AD accounts), but it's happening on all new users too.
Can't find anything helpful about this on Google...
Thanks!

Hello,

I am using Microsoft Office Outlook 2007, and in it, I use four different folders that fall under the 'Inbox' folder. These folders have rules attached to them so that when particular e-mails come through, they get placed in to these four folders.

Now, because of that, I never get an e-mail notification in the system-tray. I never get the transparent display or the little envelope icon, because essentially no e-mails ever go directly to my 'Inbox'.

Is there any way to set it up so that e-mails that I receive in these four folders will still give me an e-mail notification?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

A:Solved: Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 E-Mail Notifcations

This is possible.

Follow the steps :

1. Outlook --> Tools --> Rules & Alerts
2. Highlight the Rule and Goto "Change Rule" drop down.
3. Edit Rule Settings.
4. In the Rules Wizard , click Next on the first screen
5. Scroll down all the way to the bottom on the second.
6. You will find an option - display a Desktop alert
7. Enable this option.
8. Go Next if you need more changes or Finish.
9. Close and reopen Outlook.

You should be set.

Hi 1960apache, welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

See if there is anything in these MS websites that might help you.

https://support.office.com/en-us/art...s=en-001&ad=US

Configure Language Settings for Outlook Web App: Exchange 2010 Help

In the second one there is reference to the language used by the client website server, which could mean that if your email server provider doesn't support English then Outlook will use the servers language. That is my interpretation of the wording. It does refer to Outlook 2010 so that may be different to Outlook 2007 but it might help you a bit.
It might also be worth talking to your email provider as well.

Ok, well up until yesterday my father was using Office 2000 with Microsoft binder for work. He just got a new laptop for work and he's got Office 2007 installed. From the looks of Microsoft's site it states that 'Microsoft Unbind is not included with Office 2007.' Looks like what I really need is Microsoft Binder from Office 2000. Is there a place I can download it (legally) or purchase it? He literally has thousands of binder files (*.obd) that he needs to be able to access. I've tried searching with nothing turning up.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

A:Microsoft Office Binder (*.obd files) with Office 2007?

So further searching turned up that Unbind for Office XP/2003 is just a waste of time for Office 2007 and no point in looking further into that.

So then I found this:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=822622

Which seems to me if I can track down a Office 2000 disc I should be able to install JUST Binder 2000. Results show that it works along side Office XP/2003 so I don't see why it wouldn't with Office 2007. It would only be used to unbind old files, not create new ones.

If anyone has any other thoughts that would be great.
I'll look into what I wrote above tomorrow and post back with the results if need be.

Here goes, I'm trying to install microsoft office 2007 initially it froze midway through installation so I rebooted and tried to uninstall in the add/remove program in the control panel but there was no option for Microsoft Office to remove. So I tried to install Microsoft Office 2007 again but a pop-up message is shown which says that "Microsoft Office 2007 has encountered a problem during setup".I google for possible options and here is what I found:First, verify that you cannot uninstall the 2007 Microsoft Office system by using Add or Remove Programs (or Programs and Features)To verify that you cannot uninstall the 2007 Microsoft Office system by using Add or Remove Programs (or Programs and Features in Windows Vista), follow these steps. For Windows XP or Windows Server 2003: 1. Click Start, click Run, type control appwiz.cpl in the Open box, and then press ENTER. 2. Click to select the 2007 Office system product from the application list, and then click Remove. For Windows Vista: 1. Click Start, type prgrams and features in the Search box, and then press ENTER. 2. A:Microsoft Office 2007 Home & Student Problem

Only way I ever figured out to make it stop the "please wait while Windows Installer configures Excel" or whatever is to make a new profile on that computer then transfer all your data from the old profile to the new one (data meaning favorites/desktop items/my documents). I have seen this with Office 2000/2003/2007. Not sure about 2010.

After searching through google and the forums for a solution, I thought i'd come here and ask. First off, is Microsoft Office 2007 compatible with Windows XP Media Center Edition 2002? I know it is for regular XP but for whatever reason, Microsoft made that horrible version. Anyways, I go to install it, enter my key, click install and it goes to the install screen. The bar doesn't fill at all. After a few seconds.. i hear the HDD click a bit and then it says it encountered an error during setup. I've tried many google suggestions. No other version of office installed. Tried installing to a different folder, and even to a different HDD. Any suggestions? Like I said, it doesn't even start the installation...

Hi: I have been working with Microsoft Office 2007 and Vista for the past few months now. However, I needed to install the solver add-in for Excel 2007 and I have been getting the error 1342 that says folder path "Program Files" contains an invalid character. I am unable to uninstal Excel to correct the problem and feel like a reformatting may be the only solution.

I have both 2003 and 2007 versions of the office suite. Could you please help me instal the solver add-in (I need it to do an optimization assignment thats due wednesday :S)

Hi Blair. . .

Welcome to the Tech Support Forum - Vista Support!

For my clarification, please:

Please tell me about the "solver add-in for Excel 2007 ". I know of many updates for Excel 2007, but am not familiar with this one.

Also, if you are in fact running Office 2003 and Office 2007 concurrently, I would advise that you un-install Office 2003 immediately. Test all aspects of Office 2007. As you may know, Office 2007 functions 100% with the legacy-type Office 2003 - both read/write.

Then I will be glad to do all in my power to rectify this for you in time for you to finish your assignment.

Regards. . .

jcgriff2

EDIT: Blair - just to make sure - is is error 1342 - or 1324?

Hi, I've tried googling my problem and while I've found some who share this problem, I haven't been able to find the solution.

I recently bought a laptop and Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 came with it. I tried uninstalling it but it was cancelled in the middle of the process. A day or so after that, MS word keeps saying that MSOINTL.DLL is missing every time I try to open the program. On the control panel it does not have a repair option, just uninstall, and when I try to it says "The language of this installation package is not supported by your system". I'm not sure what else I can do. I even downloaded the file, but am unsure of what to do with it.

Thank you so much for your help.

Microsoft Outlook 2013 (365) continues to crash every 2 months on my laptop. I have had 3 sessions with Microsoft support online since November. They are unable to fix the problem so it won't continue to reoccur. They have reinstalled it on 3 occasions and within 2 months, Outlook is unresponsive. Cannot receive/send any email. All my email I have to get on my iPhone using pop secure server from GoDaddy redirect. It not GoDaddy cause I can see the email if I go to GoDaddy email and they say it is an Outlook issue with Microsoft.....

Hello people. Thank you for reading this! I have a problem. I use MS Office 2003. I just bought a new computer since my old one was just dying. That's a different story. I took the PST file from my old one, and put to work on my new machine. Now, when I click on CONTACTS, below MAIL, I see all of my contacts. But when I compose a new massage, and click on "TO:” there is nothing there!! So in order for me to write a letter to a contact, I need to open up my "Contacts" and RIGHT CLICK on one and choose "Compose a New Message", which is totally unacceptable because some e-mails I write, I want to have multiple receivers of. Everything else is fine. All of the folders and subfolders I have, are there. Just this. Please help??

My 2002 version has corrupted wiping out all my Outlook contacts which I'm not happy about. I also lost the disk which doesn't help. Also, each time I tried to open Word, Windows Installer pops up asking me to install the disk.

A friend advised that he has Office 2007 which he can install and which has the "licence number" built in so it can be used by more then one person. I am a bit confused about that but he states that it has been installed in several computers. If OK, this will save me big bucks.

Should I uninstall 2002 first or will the installation of 2007 just override it?Bear in mind I don't have the 2002 disk eek:where is that damn thing?) so can't confirm any registration codes.

It is installed on my new computer, and when I open it it gives me numerous options including "open existing company". I click my company and I get the following error message "CURRENT VERSION OF THE ACCOUNTING APPLICATION DOES NOT SUPPORT THIS APPLICATION"

To resolve this problem, rebuild the company file in Accounting Express and in Accounting Professional. To do this, follow these steps:

In the Microsoft Office Accounting Data Utilities dialog box, click Rebuild.
In the Rebuild Company File dialog box, select the name of the company file that you want to rebuild.

Yes you can use it. No problems.

In fact, there is no "64-bit" Office suite out yet. Office 2010 will be the first to offer a 64-bit version.

For Office 2007, Windows XP must have Service Pack 2 (SP2) or Service Pack 3 (SP3) installed.

For Office 2010, Windows XP must have Service Pack 3 (SP3) installed.

HELLO GUYS

I wish to request your kind help as I have lost access to Microsoft Word 2007 which was in full use until today on my eMachine with Windows 7 Operating System. When I clicked to open a Word document, a Windows Installer box opened with the message " Preparing to install". This installation was unexpected as I had Word 2007 previously installed and in use. Then the fatal error showed : Error 25004 ConfigXml not specified. A valid config.xml file must be authoredwhen deploying'[null]'.

This unusual failure is preventing the system from accessing any Word documents. Is there any help to get around this problem so that my documents can be accessed again, please. I would be most grateful for your kind help and advice, if possible.
Kind regards to all.

and before i get ten million responses saying I'm trying to bootleg the thing here's a video

I'm not going to pay 100 dollars for this thing again. NOT and I refuse to let this money go to waste.

If it's a fresh install, you could cross your fingers and try recovery software.

Or if you bought it through an affiliated website like Microsoft Office Discount for Students - It's Not Cheating then maybe you could prove your purchase with them (if they keep records of course).

You really don't have the original packaging or a email key if you purchased the downloadable Office Ultimate release?

Edit: Ah I just watched the vid..... good luck!

You appear to have a Dell Inspiron 530 desktop, and it appears to be infested with malware, spyware, etc..

Please do the following in it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Go here, then click the large blue "Download Now @ Bleeping Computer" button to download and save AdwCleaner.exe to your desktop.

Close all open windows first, then double-click AdwCleaner.exe to load its main window.

Click the "Scan" button, then allow the scanning process to finish.

Click the "Logfile" button.

When the log appears, save it.

Return here to your thread, then copy-and-paste the ENTIRE log here.

When you close AdwCleaner, ignore the warning that appears, then click "Yes".
