Issues with recurring meetings not showing on outlook 2010 calendar

Q: Issues with recurring meetings not showing on outlook 2010 calendar

I am a desktop support tech and one of my users is having a problem where they will accept an invitation to a recurring meeting and either the meeting will not appear on their calendar or the first meeting will show up as accepted and all the other meetings in the series will be shown as tentative. I have looked high and low on the internet yet have found nothing to help, i am open to any and all suggestions and ideas, or if some one knows what is causing this a solution.

I'm leaving a company and want to decline all recurring meetings after a certain date. The software is MS Outlook 2003.

The meetings run out for approximately a year, so declining each individual meeting would take too long.

Cancelling on the day prior to my departure, will not give the organisers time to locate alternative attendees.

Is there a way to decline all invites in a recurring meeting after a certain date?

I have a user that is running the office 2003 package on their laptop. The laptop runs great and has no issue's other than when she goes to use the calendar in outlook. She will be sent a meeting request, and when she accepts it, it will notify the requester, but when she goes to her calendar, the request is gone. The calendar will show some of the requests but not all of them. Even some of the ones that have been on there for months have disappeared. I've checked every one of the settings and she is matched to me and I do not have this issue.

Any idea's???

When I pull up the Month view of outlook calendar it doesn't show all of the things I have scheduled.

for instance, I have something at 2pm on April 30 and I don't see that unless I pull up the day and the detail of it. On the month view it's just a white square with no indication there's something scheduled. Other days if I have something all day it shows. Or maybe morning.

What setting do I need to tinker with?

A:Outlook 2010 Calendar Month View Not Showing Things

I see some items not others. I don't think it's a lost PST file. If I open the day, I see the entries. I don't have many entries, but it would be nice to see them all in the month view. For Instance on May 7th, I see Teacher appreciation week (a week long whole day entry) but not a 9am webinar and a 2pm presentation although they show if I open the day view. May 8th I have the date bold in my little thumbnail calendar so I know there's something there; in the month view nothing, in the day view I see an activity scheduled for 9am.

It's crazy. I would like to see something in the month view to show me what's coming up.

Very Interesting problem I ran into on the help desk here where I work. We have upgraded to Office XP Pro. We use MS Exchange Server 5.5. Several have now complained of receivng a meeting request or appointment message, accepting it and having it not post once but TWICE in their calendar.

We had this previously with Outlook 97 and 2000. And there are settings to determine this. Here is what we did in 2002.

1.) Opened Tools and selected Options.
2.)Selected Email Options.
3.) Clicked Advanced email options and removed the check from the box "In folders other than Inbox save replies."
4.) Clicked ok and had them Click Tracking Options.
5.) Uncheck the box " Save posts and replies."

Now in Outlook 97 and 2000 these areas would stop the duplication process on the Calendar. Not so in XP. We are stymied by this latest development.

We have been over TechNet and Microsoft Knowledge Base.
Found one article on Blackberry use with a .dll on the Exchange server but do not feel this is relevant even though they do use a Blackberry email device.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

All of our training rooms have their own individual calendars on outlook and
when we are using them we add them to the meeting request as a resource. Alternatively we also add meetings directly into the resource calensar.

We are now looking at space utilisation in the building and I was wondering if
it is possible to run a "usage" report on the calendars?

I need to know the number of meetings there have been in these calendars,
and if possible by day and hour - e.g. is 3pm on Monday the most popular slot
for a meeting over the period of one year?

Rather than going through each calendar day by day I was wondering if there
was any tool out there that would run these reports for me? I haven't got the budget for any new software and I have to count the retrospective appointment in Outlook (I can't get some new shareware that will do this for me for all future bookings).

Anyone come across a similar problem?

Hi guys,

I have been referred to you guys as I have heard you are the best in the business for answering tech questions, so here it goes!

I was wondering if it was possible to use Microsoft Outlook for organizing and scheduling meetings when people have another email server/software (e.g. gmail, yahoo). What we need is for clients to be able to have access to the calendar and see times when the consultant is available, and to select a time that they are available. This is to stop the constant back and forth of suggesting times when we are available.

(I have looked at online booking system software that integrates and syncs with Microsoft outlook calendar HOWEVER the main issue is that out company uses Citrix Receiver ( client software that provides access to your XenDesktop and XenApp installations) and the group IT of the company have put restrictions on certain applications and softwares we can download. Many of the online booking system software that I have looked at are restricted thus if microsoft outlook can do it that would be amazing)

Hi williamwallace1,

Based on your post it sounds like you are looking for a business solution. The majority of the help provided here is for home users, though we do sometimes help solve business problems.

The main issue we run into with solving business problems is the presence of an IT department at the company. You mentioned that your company's IT department has placed restrictions on your workstations.

Given that you have an internal IT department, you will need to ask them to assist you. We will not be allowed to assist unless you are the IT department or get permission from them that we can assist.

Hello All:

I need help creating a small Access Database to be able to make Schedules for Conference table Meetings. I am hoping to find an example, or if someone could please direct me to the right place where its been done before in Access 2000!?

I was asked to use this Calendar: (Calendar Control 9.0) because all my co-workers have this Active X Control, which has Dates but not Time in and Out. I need to add Time or think of something else to add to this Database along with the Date Calendar.

What my co-workers would like to do is to go inside the Database > choose their Name > pick a Date in a Calendar > pick a Time to RESERVE the meeting > place/ location, etc.

The only thing right now I have is a Table for the Users, and I also need to figure out how to place it in the DB for other people to select their name and precede with other options.

I need to make the DB recurring (like Outlook), notifying (e-mailing) of weekly Staff Meetings, for EX: every Wednesday for next months. So that next time, when somebody goes into the Database, they can see what Time slots are taken or Available on the Calendar. We tried this with Outlook, but it didnt work due to the Conference table not being customized and not listed in the Company address List. Dont mean to make it confusing - basically Outlook seems to be out of the question for my Group, therefore I was asked to look into Access .

I dont even know where to start. Can someone please help me modify th... Read more

I've had a persistent problem for several months since I migrated to a new hard drive. Outlook 2010 calendar is working, but only in Active List view. Any attempt to change to Preview or Calendar view produces the error message, "Could not read the calendar." Changing from Active List to List works some of the time, but inconsistently and sometimes it will hunt for the list and offer the same "Could not read the calendar." error message. This is very frustrating as I find it difficult to manage the list view and am accustomed to seeing the calendar week view.

I use an Android phone and use gmail and Google calendar to see mail and appointments on my phone. So, I've got Google Calendar Sync running. Google Calendar Sync appears to be operating normally. I have a nice calendar view on my phone or web-based from my computer. I have tried adding the Google calendar to Outlook but it is a duplicate of the default calendar and I can't set it as the default. Also, MS Office does not permit me to delete the default calendar.

I don't like any of the work arounds. I just want the calendar to work like it should. Research discloses no real hint of anything that works including running scanpst. Scanpst does a great job at fixing the problem by wiping the whole calendar thanks very much MS.

If you have any clue as to the cause and bette... Read more

Anyone know how to send a URL link to a public calendar within outlook 2010? We are using a third party company to host our exchange and we have calendars for each department. If we want to have someone join the calendar, is there a way to just send them a URL that will open the calendar? I hear there is publishing to the internet etc... We rather keep our companies internal information internal. I don't want to publish it to send someone a URL, is there another way to do this?

That link is something I found but I want to know if someone else has a better idea.

So why is not my Google Calendar with it's events not showing on Jacks Calendar within as they should?

a few weeks ago I reported that I couldn't open any hyperlinks in Outlook 2010 and some kind soul directed me in the way of Fixit 50388 which sorted it out. Or so I thought. A week later the problem was back and was fixed again and so on only now its twice a week ...and I'm getting tired of Mr Fixit.
Anyone got any idea why this is happening?
Even better got any idea how to stop it permanently?
To add a bit of confusion, once fixed, Outlook opens the hyperlinks in IE which I never use, and the system is set up for Firefox to be the default browser for everything. I can't find where to change the default for opening hyperlinks. It's a big problem for me because I use Lastpass to log into everything, and it's all set up for FF. If Outlook opens everything in IE then Lastpass is useless, or sometimes worse - it works so fast it sometimes has tried to log onto a site 3 times before I realise and pull its plug - by them I am shut out all together and have to resubscribe! Also most of my password sare ultrasecure gobbledygook which is fine for LP to remember, but if I have to input them by hand it takes ages and leads to mistakes.
Oh joy! I know I could transfer all the passwords over to IE also, (this is supposed to be automatic but doesn't work for me) but would be hideously tedious and open to a legion mistakes.)
So help please!

Hi all,

All of you ye know, that in outlook (in "calendar" screen) more then one calendar is available. In my case under "my calendars" link appear 2 calendars, called: "calendar" and "birthdays calendar". The first one is just calendar, where holydays, tasks and so on (except birthdays) are marked and another calendar is only full of my contacts' birthdays.

Could I combine them? I don't like having more then one calendar. I'd rather have ONE and full calendar, where all events (tasks, holydays and so on together with birthdays) are given.

If anyone knows how to combine two calendars, please help me.

Thanks in advance.

I recently switched from outlook 2007 to 2010. My question is, how do I open a group shared calendar? In the 2007 and 2003 versions I would click in the shared calendar and then Actions, view group schedule. I cannot figure it out in the 2010 version. The methods I have tried, give me a list of everyone's calendar under "other calendar" in the navigation pane. I can check off each individual calendar to view their schedule, but I prefer the 2007/2003 options that would open a separate dialog box with a list of everyone and their schedule laid out horizontally. What I'm trying to do is just set an event on the calendar as an appointment and then have a reminder sent to me one week before.

I thought I had set it up but I haven't received any type of reminder (not sure if it will be an email or a popup alert of some kind) for a test that I set up.

The default reminder is set for 15 minutes in Options - Calendar - Calendar options but I know you can change that for each individual appointment that you set up.

So I'm not sure what I did wrong.

Also, how do you access the calendar without having to turn the ToDo bar on which takes up a lot of the screen on the right side?

I have a strange situation with Outlook 2010 (using Windows 7 HP), whereby dates of birthdays have become corrupt.

I have family birthdays set up as recurring events. I recently noticed that some of them have been corrupted, in that three that occur in December have been changed to different months: one to January and two to April. I became aware of this because the ?reminder? for a December birthday appeared yesterday (15th April).

I say I use Outlook 2010, but the situation is a bit more complex: I have two older PCs running Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2003 respectively and I synchronise these regularly with the Outlook 2010 PC, using Code Two Outlook Sync. I also use Kies 3 to synchronise the Outlook 2010 PC with my Samsung Galaxy S4.

I don?t know exactly when the corruption occurred, but I have been doing the aforementioned synchronisations for several years without problem.

The strange thing is that I have a number of other, annual recurring events and none of them seems to be affected. My concern is that whilst I immediately spot the errors in family birthdays [because I know them], there may be other reminders [e.g. to pay bills] that I?m not so familiar with, and I wouldn?t necessarily spot it if they had become corrupted.

Any suggestions as to the cause would be very welcome!

I have Win 7 OS on both my laptop and desktop. I've installed the same trial Office 2010 to both (ran it concurrently with 2007 to begin with but decided that 2010 was the one for me.) Both set-ups ran w/ no problems, then the Outlook on the desktop started crashing when I attempted to change the calendar (my school teaching schedule -recurring occurances) It would let me use mail, etc. but would (still does) crash when I attempt(ed) anything more than just look at the calendar. I've done the following: Uninstalled Office 2007; uninstalled and then reinstalled-first pro plus 2010, now office standard 2010 (new trial download direct from MS)-- uninstalled...then reinstalled new hotmail connector app. Ran sfc /scannow...OK Amazingly (to me) it remembered my calendar (and ability to crash!) through all this. We use Outlook 2010 with Exchange 2010.
There is a calendar in the public folders. Several People have the permission as "author" for this public Folder calendar.

One of the "authors" creates an appointment with a reminder in his own calendar.
Then he copies this appointment with the reminder to the calendar of the public folder.

A public Folder itself does not Support a reminder in the calendar. But if you copy an appointment with a reminder from your own Outlook calendar to the calendar in the public Folder, then a reminder in a calendar of a public Folder is supported.

The result is: Every other "author" gets this reminder popping up in his own Outlook calendar.

The question is: How to prevent the reminders popping up in the outlook of the other "authors"?

When Outlook calendar invitations are sent to certain recipients, they receive a plain text email as opposed to an actual iCal file. I have been doing my research on this, but have yet to find an answer. In order to narrow down the problem, I did a tightly controlled experiment:

I have Outlook configured to access email from several different POP3 servers, with all mail being directed to the same PST file. The first POP3 server is on my personal domain - I have a Linux-based VPS where the site is manage. The second POP3 server is a GoDaddy server.

Sent via my personal domain:
I created a first event in my Calendar and invited myself (personal domain). The message in the Sent folder is a proper iCal invitation and the invitation that I received is a proper iCal invitation. I then created a second event in my Calendar and invited myself (GoDaddy domain). The message in the Sent folder is a proper iCal invitation and the invitation that I received is plain text.

I left out one, potentially important bit of info: Outbound emails from my server are routed through MandraillApp. Some further testing seems to suggest that MandraillApp is the culprit. Has anyone else seen this behavior? If so, any suggestions for resolving the problem?

Is there a way to have Outlook 2010 sync it's To-Do bar with a Windows Live webmail calendar?

I'm using Outlook 2010+latest version of Outlook Connector +Windows Live webmail. Calendar sync works fine in both directions but the Outlook To-Do bar only displays upcoming events from the local "Outlook" calendar, not my calendar (even though in the Outlook calendar pane the local calendar is unchecked and the calendar is checked).

A:Outlook 2010: sync To-Do bar with Windows Live/Hotmail calendar?

You can definitely do that, here's how:

1. Click on the File tab.
2. On the Info screen (should be the default one that appears after clicking "File") click the "Account Settings" drop-down button.
3. Then click on "Account Settings" to go to the Account Settings screen.
4. Once at the Account Settings dialog box, click the "Data Files" tab.
5. Select your default e-mail account that you wish to sync your calendar with. (This would be your @LIVE account.)
6. All set! Enjoy your new To-Do bar with updated @Live calendar information.

This will also change a couple other beneficial settings, such as auto-recognizing contacts that are on your LIVE e-mail account.

From Microsoft Outlook:

"The default Outlook Data File contains the calendar that appears in the To-Do Bar and settings for Favorites, shared folders, and RSS feeds."

Hope that works!

For some reason on one of our systems, running Outlook 2010, there is an issue with sending a New Meeting.

I select the Calendar. From the menu, "New Meeting". The New meeting screen opens. I enter in the subject, body, and have three contacts listed in "TO". That's it, and I click Send.

My recipients received this as a standard message, for some bizarre reason, all calendar data has been removed from the message, yet the item has been added to my calendar. Any thoughts?

Ive got an Outlook 2003 using Boss and a Outlook 2002 using Assistant who are having issues with sharing their calendar. The assistant is inputting appointment data into her bosses Outlook 2003 Calendar.

The issue is : The 2002 user puts in a whole day appointment on a given day (say 10/10/2004). When she opens her bosses 2003 calendar, the same appointment is still a whole day, but it stretches across 2 days (in this case 10/10/2004 and 11/10/2004). Both users use common Regional Settings (Australia).

Outlook 2002 user is at Office XP SP3.
Outlook 2003 user is at Office 2003 Pro SP1

A member of staff at my work is having problems receiving invitations for meetings in outlook. When sent an invitation, the time of the meeting appears in his calendar, but he is not sent an email asking him to accept/decline. I have checked his profile on the exchange server, and there seems to be no problems with it. Any ideas??

Hi all,
The company that I work for uses Outlook 2000. We have our own exchange server which serves about 150 e-mail users.

A week or so ago, one of the users reported that old calendar reminders that had previously been dismissed were showing up again. This week another 2 users have the same problem.

Everyday when they start outlook they get reminders for past events that have previously been dismissed. (Some of the reminders are from weeks ago) When they choose to dismiss again, Outlook gives a message telling them that some reminders could not be dismissed and that they may be reminded again.

All 3 of these users also have a Dell Axim PDA that syncs with Outlook. I have searched the MS knowledge base, Microsoft Technet, Dell's Knowledgebase and generally searched the web.
There are a couple of articles on this forum of over users having similar problems but they are for Office 2002.
here is the closet match so far..

None of the 3 users use .pst files and the only commonality of the users is that they all have the Dell Axim. (I have replaced the internal battery and made sure that the date/time is correct)

I am lost! Of the 150 Outlook 2000 mail users that we have, aprox 25 of them also use the Axim PDA, the problem is affecting just 3 people.

A:Outlook 2000 Calendar issues

Are these three the only ones to have dismissed the reminders? Are these reminders coming from their personal calendars or from public ones? They have to have more in common than just the Axim's or everyone would have the same problem.

This is happening for several days now. I have also shared a calendar with my wife and she doesn't get the events I add. I do not have the upgrade notice she has. What can we do about this? Connect to Exchange server and cache mode is selected.

A:Pictures showing red cross in Outlook 2010

Hello Sebbie,

Is there an option at the top of the email called download pictures from internet?

If so, this is to stop stop large emails being downloaded and using bandwith and PC hard drive space and to stop files infected being downloaded.

Personally i would leave it so you have to download the pictures manually by clicking on that option.

If you really did want to download automatically and you fully trust your email setup to detect funny emails then check this tutorial out - Outlook 2010: Download Images Automatically | Microsoft Outlook | Tech-Recipes

Otherwise, as i said, leave that option alone and download manually for safety reasons.

Ok, so we have Outlook 2010 at the office and I have a user that is getting emails from a company with links and email addresses in it and it's not showing up as a link. You can't click it to follow it, nothing. It's just showing up as plain text. It only happens from this certain user.

Also, when she forwards me the same email the links show up fine and I can click them without any problems. I see that the email when opened up said that it is being viewed as plain text but I can not change this. I checked all the settings and everything is set correctly, cause like I said before I can view the other emails just fine and the links show up without any issue.

I am running XP Professional and Office 2003. Most of my team is running Outlook 2000. When sending an invite for a meeting only one person actually gets an invite that they can accept.

The remainder receive the XML version of the request - which is "junk" to them. Unfortunately this means I send out multiple emails for each invite and have to rely on someone manually putting it in their calendar.

We tried downloading the latest patches for Outlook 2000 and that didn't seem to help.

I am trying to determine if you can have mail delivered to a PST folder but have Calendar requests updated to the Exchange server calendar folder. I have an end-user who would like to maintain the setup where the mail goes to his PST file, but when he accepts appointments and etc. they should show up on the Exchange server Calendar so others can see his availability for meeting requests. Is this possible? In the past, I have advised users to have mail delivered to server and then move mail items to PSTs with rules or archiving to management storage.

A:MS Outlook 2007 - Using PST for mail delivery/Calendar Issues

That will work. The exchange server still gets updated it's just that all his mail/contacts/calendar will be saved to his local PST file instead of the server. However OWA will be blank for that user and he risks losing all his Outlook data is something happens to that PST file. I really don't see why he needs it that way.

We're on Exchange and we use the Lync tool. The user in question had her domain changed. I made the change in Lync as the change was already made in outlook. She then could not book online meetings and would get an error saying the user names in outlook and Lync were not the same even though they were.

To fix this, I deleted her profile and started outlook again. After her profile was downloaded from the exchange server, many of her new email she was receiving would appear with her name as the sender in her inbox. This is happening with most of her mail but not all.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

My outlook email account is on exchange server. I had created some rules to move mails to other specific folders and to display a deskotp alert on message arrival on these folders. Back then it was showing the desktop alert but now it isn't.

Desktop alerts for inbox is still working fine. I even created a generic rule with no conditions and just the action to display the Desktop Alert for all incoming mails and that too is working fine. It doesn't work only when I try to implement desktop alerts on specific rules.

I tried exporting, deleting then importing back all the rules but no good.

I don't know if it is of any importance but here is what I did something recently. As it is a client side rule and will not work on outlook webapp so few days ago I created a copy of all the rules and removed the "Desktop alert" action so that this copy of rules will work for webapp. Still the desktop alerts worked on outlook client but after two days this problem of desktop alerts not showing started. I removed those copy of rules but still its not working. I am not sure if this is the cause of the problem.

Any ideas?

I have been using Yahoo Mail PLus and Gmail, plus an e-mail I just set up for my new website. I have several user ID's under my yahoo account, plus many separate folders (also in gmail).

I just purchased Outlook2010, and when I imported my yahoo account over, I don't think it brought over my other e-mail addresses, and I know it didn't bring over my folders.

I was using Windows Live Mail sporadically, but wanted Outlook for my business, as I used it in the past. However, this was when I was working for a company, and was on their network and we had IT specialists to set everything up!

I'm fairly computer savvy, but e-mail accounts, POP, IMAP, etc throw me for a loop.

Thanks for any help you can give me, and I apologize if this is not the correct forum for my question.

Hi, I am wondering if anyone can help me please. I have just brought a new dell laptop, and office professional. I have tried to set up a pop email in outlook 2010, but I did it wrong, so I deleted it and started again, but instead of creating a new one it called it (2) not just the normal name. I have gone through the process and it says it works, but theres nothing coming into my inbox, and what I think is happening is that its going to the original inbox of the one that I named wrongly! Can anyone tell me how I bring back the original email box or fully delete both and re-start again pls? thanks very much Corrie

I noticed that my outlook 2010 was hanging up (on a Windows 7 machine), specifically when sending/receiving emails, when switching folders and when switching from Mail to Task or Calendar. I started runing "Scanpst.exe" for my pst files, however I have one pst file (that is 349MB) that scanpst only says: "the Microsoft Outlook Inbox Repair Tool Can not recover the data in the file."  The funny thing is that I can look in the folder in Outlook, and don't appear to experience problems, but run into issues moving items into the pst.
These hangups are really starting to slow me down. I would appreciate any input you can give. Thank you.

Howdy, I am using Office 2010 and when I reply to anyone on one of my e mails it comes back in the thread looking like this example given,

Hi Terry,
I am just inquiring as to your progress and if you have anything we can look at to this point?
It has just recently started doing this so not sure what I have done, any idea as to how I can fix this, it creates a problem when I want to forward a thread on to someone.

Thanks much

Where are you receiving this email from?

What font is being used?

What happens when you convert to the "Plain Text" format?

I have just recently upgraded to Outlook 2010 and when I search my inbox, the items that show up first are the oldest items. I end up having to wait a few minutes for the emails from "yesterday" to show up in the search. I do have quite a few emails as I don't delete, so it is searching quite a bit. I don't want to archive because I have to at least once a day, pull emails from 2 years ago. When I was using 07, I would search and the newest emails showed up first then the older ones began showing up after a few seconds/minutes.

I am having a few issues with my IMAP work email setup on my home pc. I have my personal POP gmail setup and my work IMAP email setup on Outlook 2010. The gmail account works perfectly but my work email has issues.

I can't send emails. I try to "test account settings" and I get completed on both the IMAP login and the send test email and I get the test email in my inbox but when I actually try to send an email it doesnt go through.

I don't automatically get emails. I have to click on each folder to update emails.

Each time I click a folder to update outlook has to update cache messages.

I also get a send/receive error at the bottom often and when I click this it says outlook cant access the data file. I tried to create a new data file by renaming the old one and letting outlook make a new one but that didnt help.

This slows me down a great deal when I work from home so any guidance would be much appreciated.

Please help!

You need to work with your company's IT support so they can review your account and your settings, there is no way for us to tell if they are correct and autodiscover (if it is even set up) only works for outlook everywhere usually through a proxy.

I have 2 Outlook 2010 contacts issues I'm dealing with...hopefully you can help.

1. Unable to search contacts.
When using the "Find a Contact" search box in the 'Find' section in the ribbon, I'm not able to get any results. I have my contacts organized into contacts, vendors, architects, franchisees, etc. Within my contacts section, I have a distribution group for each job location, but no actual contacts. The only results it will return is a distribution individual contacts are returned.

2. Unable to select contacts and organize distribution groups
When I open a distribution list and try to add a new contact, I'm only able to select our corporate address list (internal), my contacts folder (containing only distribution lists), and the stupid 'suggested contacts' list containing emails of people that i don't have organized because I don't need to keep their address) other lists are available.

Any thoughts on how I can get through these problems? I'm using Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit, Office 2010. I did allow it to setup indexing. ANY help would be appreciated...this is driving me nuts!!!!

Thanks in advance

I can't get the popup reminders for the calendars to work. Neither in the Metro calendar nor in Outlook.

I also can't make them synchronize.

Does anyone know?

Do sound alerts exist at all in Windows calendars or just pop ups if any?

I have gone through what I think from numerous tutorials is the correct method of auto archiving. I have found the archive.pst folder in its appropriate position and it is only showing about 150m of data. My Outlook.pst is showing 4.5gb of data.
I notice that all the folders in my in box still contain all the entries from in some cases years back. I was under the impression that when archiving is done these folders should be cleaned up and the older stuff goes to the archive.pst.
When I set up the auto archiving I pretty well left everything at default.
If I open the archive folder from within Outlook and click on the Inbox properties it shows that there is nothing in any of the subfolders.

Obviously something is amiss, I just cannot locate what it is. Any help very much appreciated
