Outlook 2010

Q: Outlook 2010

I have a problem with Outlook 2010 that is driving me nuts. Whenever i send an email with an attachment upwards of 4Mb it goes through the sending process then comes up with a send error. The attachment has in fact been sent but remains in the out box as though it hasn't and then it keeps sending it over and over until I catch it and delete it.
It's driving my friends crazy too so any ideas on how to fix this would be gratefully received. I have Windows 7 home Premium on a Toshiba Satellite 5000 with 4Gb RAM.

I had thi sproblem in the past, your email storage capacity is full. Delete all unwanted messages in your sent and deleted messages forlders and try again. Then call your email server and ask to increase capacity.

I recently purchased a new computer that has Office 2010 installed. I would like to move the contents of my .pts file from my old computer which has Outlook 2007 to my new computer which has Outlook 2010. Before, when I wanted to transfer my .pts file from one computer to another I would just copy the file to a portable hard drive and then transfer the file to the other computer. However, Outlook 2010 is completely different animal. When I go to C:, Users, App Data, etc., new computer, it is completely different from my other computer that had Vista. My question is, how can I transfer my .pts file and/or my address book, calendar, contacts, etc. for my older Windows Vista computer that had Outlook 2007, to my new computer that has Windows 7 and Outlook 2010 installed? Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.

A:Solved: Moving Outlook Messages and Address Book From Outlook 2007 to Outlook 2010

Hello referee07;

Copy your .pst file from your old computer to the new one or your portable hard drive.

To launch the Outlook 2010 Export/Import wizard, first go to File menu, navigate to Open, and click Import.

In the Import And Export wizard, select Import from another program or file option and hit Next

Under File Type, select Outlook Data File(.pst) and hit Next

Now choose the file to import, select the options, and hit Next

Once done, finally select the folder to import from(if you want to import complete data don’t change any settings) and make sure Include subfolders is checked. You can either import the file to the current folder or choose the folder.

Hope this helps!

Good morning everyone,

So the other day something incredibly weird had occurred. I was receiving email normally on my phone, came into work, logged in, and began working on my trouble tickets. I noted that when I went back to Outlook to view an email, the email in particular was gone... and then all were gone. My folders, and emails within them, still remained the same. I attempted to research what on Earth happened but I haven't been able to find anything specific to my issue.

I'm using Outlook 2010 connected to an Exchange 2010 server for work. Outlook was setup as cached exchange mode but that has since been changed. The emails also disappeared from my phone's inbox too... it's as if everything was deleted and Exchange figured that's what it should be and synced everything that way. Deleting my OST didn't resolve or resync anything. I ran the scanpst tool on the ost file which reports 93 errors, but as I read the scanpst tool can't repair an OST and thus doesn't do anything.

Does Outlook have some sort of log that may explain what on Earth happened? I can't find any error messages or any other reasons for what may have happened. My view settings weren't changed, nothing has changed on my end. There is no spyware / malware installed on the PC as far as I can tell. No real issues in the Sync issues folder other than a Forms syncing issue which seems to be related to Exchange needing a patch (but can otherwise be ignored).

I will give you... Read more

A:Outlook 2010 / Exchange 2010 randomly deleted inbox email?

Are you the only person using that Exchange server who has this issue? Check with the IT department to see if they can recover the emails in your mailbox from the server. It's possible they recently did some maintenance on the mail server that caused this issue. That fact that both Outlook and your phone are having this issue points to this being an Exchange server problem, as Outlook uses autodiscover and MAPI while your phone uses ActiveSync to connect to the server.

Do you have access to your email using Outlook Web Access? If so, log in and see if the emails are there. If not, it's definitely a server issue.

If your mail is still on the server, one thing you could try is re-enabling the cached Exchange mode, saving the change, and then restarting Outlook. The last thing to try is to delete the email account profile and recreate it. Make sure to get the proper settings from IT if you don't already have them -- although since you are using Exchange and autodiscover, that's usually just a case of entering your username and password when you recreate it.

I'm running Windows 7 Professional and just upgraded IE from 9 to 11. Afterwards, I observed that Outlook 2010 was not downloading pictures (instead showing red x's) and Excel 2010 embedded internet queries stopped working.
I think I've cornered the problem, but can't seem to fix. I have also observed that IE's temporary internet files (TIF) folder may be missing (Internet Options>Browsing History>Settings>Temporary Internet Files shows nothing under Current Location)
and the allotted disk space is set to zero and cannot be changed. If I input another number (no matter the number), I receive the following error message:
"Please select a value between 8 and 8 for how much disk space Temporary Internet Files may use."
I have tried renaming the following RegEdit keys, but to no avail: Cache and LowCache (both under HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Microsoft>Windows>Internet Settings>5.0). They get replaced when IE11 is re-opened.
The actual values within the registry keys are as follows:
Cache>Content>CacheLimit = 8192 (Decimal)
LowCache>Content>CacheLimit = 256000 (Decimal)
This is driving me crazy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello All

Win 7 Prof 32 bit
Office 2010

I've been trying to create a Task in Outlook from a Word Document that I have created on this computer. The idea is that a shortcut to the document is created as an Outlook Task. Click on the shortcut, and voila - there is the document.

The "Create Microsoft Office Task" icon DOES send the document to Outlook as a Shortcut in a Task, however, when I open the task, Outlook says:"Outlook blocked access to the following potentially unsafe attachments: Shortcut to 'document name'."

It's NOT an unsafe attachment; Outlook WILL OPEN this document if I send it as an email attachment. Outlook will open .docx files types.

This is a one person computer...no network, no sharing. And this problem has been driving me crazy. This would be a wonderful feature, if I can get it to work.

Anyone have any ideas what I (or Outlook) are doing wrong?

Thanks for your help
Barb

A:Creating a Task in Outlook 2010 from a Word 2010 Document

I think this will do the job for you:
Add & Create Outlook 2010 Tasks From Word 2010

.

Quote:
You can create a task from Word 2010 document and save it under Outlook 2010 tasks. This feature is by default concealed but you can make it apparent on Quick Access toolbar and use it directly.

In order to use this feature, you need to make this feature apparent on Word 2010 Quick Access Toolbar, head over to Quick Access Toolbar and from small drop down button click More Commands.

You will reach Word Options dialog. Hit drop-down button present beneath the Choose commands and select All Commands. Now scroll-down the list and find Create Microsoft Outlook Task command. Select it and click Add (>>) to show it on Quick Access toolbar pane. Once added, hit OK.

First save the document and then select any portion of the text in the document from which you want to create the task, from Quick Access toolbar, click Outlook task button.

Upon click, it will create Outlook task for the Word document and you will reach Outlook Task dialog where you can set Start and Due date for the task and add more information about it. Save & close the task to view it under Outlook tasks.

When opening task in Outlook 2010, you can also view the document from which it was created from, just double-click the document to open it.

I had a problem with Outlook emails hanging up in the outbox and then sending as many as 14 copies of the same message. I was unable to fix this Using the "Repair" function of the upgrade installation disk (created from the downloaded file). I removed Office completely and tried to reload; however, my disk got corrupted and Outlook is no longer available. Is there a way to recover Outlook without having to purchase it separately? I am using Office Professional Plus 2010 Home Use Program. The email that came with the original download from Digital River states to go to the "Account Management Console" to reload; however, this is on a hard copy and the original email with the link is no longer available. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If you downloaded this from Digital River, then you may be able to download it again, contact them and ask.

If you can download the install file again and it works, burn yourself a CD of the downloaded install file.

Also write the keycode on the CD.

Every day I send out excel documents that I then convert to pdf's. I use the same excel template on each document. The only thing that changes in each document per recipient is the "name" "company" & "email" fields in the excel document.

Question: Is there a way I can get these documents to interface with outlook so that when I select more than one person to receive the document (as many as 30 people will receive the same document), and auto populate the contact info "name" "company" "email."

This way would save me a few steps so that I don't have to pick a contact... type all their info in the fields... send. Select my next contact... enter appropriate info in the fields... and repeat and repeat.

" while someone in NYC gets the same letter that says "Dear Mr. Thompson, How's your summer going.... " from the same sender. Of course the deal of the week changes each week.

How can I make this happen? If there is a better way outside using excel to create pdfs, or a totally different method entirely. I'm all ears. I just need to send the informatio... Read more

Hi all
Having totally WIPED office 2010 from my system and re-installed again the problem I had with the "Purge" folder not appearing now is SOLVED.

However you still don't get a line through the deleted items -- but they are in Trash folder now.

This is BETTER but still NOT WHAT IS NEEDED -- as another computer with Outlook 2007 doesn't get the "Non purged" items in the inbox which it should do.

IMAP should effectively leave items in the Inbox until purged -- otherwise I might as well go back to POP3 - more fiddly to manage whern you leave stuff on the server but it works.

What I'm resigned to doing now is to use the REST of the office 2010 suite (EXCEL etc) which is really good but stick with Outlook 2007 for email.

Cheers

I have had a terrible time trying to trace down "not responding" in various programs. About 90% of the time however, it occurs in Outlook 2010 and sometimes in Word 2010. I took down the information from the event viewer after the last time it happened so badly that I had to restart the program because waiting didn't bring it back.
Win 7 Prof, SP1. i7, 930 with 24 gig of 1333 Kingston HyperX ram. Several drives: C SSD Plextor and Office is actually installed on a WD Caviar. Neither drive show errors. Only thing I see is that the Caviar is using Microsoft 2006 driver and I haven't been able to find a newer driver. Happens when SATA is set to AHCI and when it is set to IDE.

Thanks for any help or suggestions you can offer.
BTW, I have run scannow and also have gone through my pst files and archived.

We are running Exchange 2003 SP2 and our clients have Office 2010. Our Outlook profiles are created automatically by using Group Policy to set a registry key which points to a PRF file with all the Outlook settings. Lately, many of our users are reporting that their emails are getting stuck in the Outbox. If you look at their Outlook profile, they have two Exchange accounts listed. You cannot delete either of them; it gives a message that this is the default email account.

The immediate solution is to recreate the user's Outlook profile. This allows the stuck email to send. The real issue is that this keeps occurring. Recreating the Outlook profile sometimes fixes the problem for a long time, months maybe. But other times the problem occurs the next day. This is happening with users who have established Outlook profiles as well as new users logging into their PCs for the first time. I've attached the code from our PRF. Any help is appreciated, as we have around 400 active users and we're constantly chasing after this issue.

A:Outlook 2010 Email Stuck in Outbox; Corrupt Outlook Profile

Couple steps you may apply...

1. Repair the offline file with a Microsoft utility called SCANOST.exe. I’ve seen this file reside in a number of different locations, mainly within Program Files. It might be best to search for it with Windows or Google Desktop. SCANPST.exe will also work, though you’ll have to go digging for your outlook.ost, which should be near c:\Documents and Settings\ %profile%\ Local Settings\ Application Data\ Microsoft\ Outlook\ outlook.ost. If your file is significant in size, you’ll save a lot of time with the repair operation by not creating a backup. Because if the repair finishes successfully and Outlook still bombs, you’ll need to.
2. Shutdown Outlook completely, including any runaway outlook.exe processes in the task manager. Open Mail in the Control Panel and before you delete your profile completely, write down the server settings! There’s no need to worry about backing up your mail as it’s stored on the Exchange server. (Essentially, you’re deleting that outlook.ost when you drop your mail profile.) Now, start Outlook and it will create a new profile, where you’ll configure the server with the information you wrote down previously.

I have the outlook Hotmail connector installed on my work machine (On outlook 2010), and I also have outlook 2016 (which connects to outlook.com natively) on my home machine.

Both have stopped playing nice with outlook.com in different ways::

outlook 2010 simply wont connect with outlook.com at all -
Outlook 2016 shows my email and calendar from outlook.com but will no longer show my wife's shared calendar.

Both of these installations were working perfectly with no issues prior to the recent outlook.com upgrade.
Has anyone else experiences issues like this?

Yesterday, my Outlook (2010) stopped retrieving e-mail from the Comcast server.  When I tried to fix it today, it still wouldn't work.  All the settings were correct, but it wouldn't retrieve my e-mail.  I deleted the account and recreated it.  Now, Outlook points to a new .pst file instead of my old Outlook.pst file, named [email protected]  To make matters worse, it doesn't delete the mail off the server.  Before, when I would open Outlook, it would download new message to my Inbox and delete them off the server.  The new messages would stay permanently in my Outlook inbox.  No more.  Now if I manually delete one through my Internet browser, it also deletes it out of my Outlook Inbox.  It’s as though the new account is just a window to the Comcast e-mail server.  I tried changing the Root Folder Path on the Advanced tab of the e-mail account settings to point to the location of my Outlook.pst folder, but that made no difference.  I also tried deleting a recent Microsoft update (KB3054976), but this did not help, either. This is a complete disaster for me, as I can't even send e-mail now, except through the server.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I've just started using Outlook 2010 instead of WLM 2010, because it is getting too slow and really bugging me.

I'm able to send/receive mail from a web account (from a website I administrate), my Gmail and ONE windows live account, but my main email (the second windows live account) just wont process.

Attached a screenshot of what happens.

Like I said, it's weird this is happening to just one of my Hotmail accounts, but it's so annoying to have to use two email clients, or one client and one browser.

This seems to be a very unreliable thing Outlook Connector does, but is there any way to fix it? I've tried repairing/re-installing Connector, repaired Office, re-added the account, and deleting the OST files. still no luck.

I'm on Win 7 Home Premium SP1 Running Office 2010 Pro.

Thanks,
Sam

A:How do I transfer emails from Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2010

Hello Richard and welcome to Seven Forums.

I'm not a fan of Outlook so I don't have a lot of experience with it. Having said that, I remembered an old Microsoft Answers forum thread about moving 2003 .pst files over to 2010. The first answer by Russ Valentine should still be valid. One suggestion if I may. Before attempting to move any emails I think it would be helpful to back them up, make a system image, do something to protect them should the unthinkable happen.

Just going through the frustrating task of switching to new Win7 machines from old XP machines.

I have several thousand important (business) e-mails on my old XP machine under Outlook Express 6.  Six different accounts, each with their own inbox.  Four are POP3, 2 are IMAP.  The new machine has Office 2010 with Outlook, and I have set up all 6 accounts and they are sending and receiving fine.

I have read several articles on how to move (or export/import) all my old e-mails into Outlook, but they all seem to be written as if I have both Outlook Express and Outlook on both machines - not the case.  Some say to install Outlook temporarily on the old machine and make the conversion there - is this really necessary?  Where would I get just Outlook 2010?  Download a trial version?

The articles all seem to make reference to a PST file.  I have located the store files on the Outlook Express (old) machine, and they are all in a .dbx format.  Additionally, there are literally dozens of these dbx files, many for old folders that I no longer have on the old machine, even some old e-mail accounts that have been closed for years..

Can someone walk me though how to move (export/import) my e-mails from my old XP machine, with Outlook Express 6.xxx only, onto my new machine, with Outlook 2010 only?  Can I migrate individual folders, or do I have to move everything (all 6 accounts plus the sent items folder) at ... Read more

Now how is that possible when the file is working perfectly in one laptop but when I copy and paste it into another it gets corrupted? Is it due to 32 bit to 64 bit outlook? I tried to repair it using scanpst and it brought back few mails, so what else can I do? Am I doing something wrong in moving the file.
Thanks a lot

Hi,

I know this topic has come up before but the thread seems to be closed and I do not see the resolution. I am trying to move my messages from Outlook Express 6 to Outlook 2010. They are on different computers. I already copied the entire OE6 directory onto the new computer and tried to use the import function in Outlook. I am getting the error "No internet accounts found to import". I do not see where to browse to the data files.

Is this the best way to maintain the integrity of the folder structure?

Your help is appreciated!!

A:outlook express 6 to outlook 2010 different computers

i would install 2010 onto PC with outlook express - you can use the trial version of outlook to do this
then import on that PC - it should pick up the internet connections

then move the PST file across to the new PC

Hi there

In Outlook 2010 now if I click on a Mailto or email address link in an email I want outlook to open another window with the email address in the TO column.

Now the wretched Metro Mail app starts with the nag about Ms account etc etc.

Is there any way I can CONTINUE to use outlook like it USED to behave. I don't want or need that stupid Metro mail app -- whoever thought of or designed that particular app should be slowly drowned in a pit of Bovine excrement together with the Manager for allowing such a stupid piece of software "Out of the Door".

I've temporaily solved the problem by sending these emails from a W7 virtual machine - but I'd much rather have OUTLOOK work the way it's supposed to. I believe the same problem occurs in Office 2013 too --I'm not running Office 2013 but I believe it's similar (and Office 365 for that matter).

(Is there perhaps a default EMAIL program setting I can set up somewhere. I can't seem to find it -- probably haven't had enough BEER yet !!!!.).

Update --finally Found it -- you need to set the default in the MAIL APP as well to outlook. You need to set the default in OUTLOOK as well !!! . I'll post screenshots just in case someone else has a similar problem. (CTRL panel ==>Default programs)

Cheers

Ok so I downgraded to office 2007 after experiencing some showstopper bugs in outlook 2010, also outlook 2007 32bit is way faster than 64bit outlook 2010 so still some work for MS to do

Now whenever I start outlook I get a message telling me that my profile was created with a newer version of outlook, I click on ok and everything works however if possible I would like to get rid of this message.

Can my profile simply be converted to outlook 2007 format, or is the only solution to make a new profile?

A:outlook 2010 profile on outlook 2007

You can't just convert it. You have to make a new profile and copy your stuff across.

Before I upgraded I had exported all my contacts and saved them on my computer so I could import them back in once I have finished upgrading. I have run into some problems now that I have upgrade I have noticed that I must run business contact manager 2010 on a server I was wondering if there was any way around this like 2007? and I was wondering how hard it is to install it on the a server?

I was also wondering if anyone also knew if there was a add on which would allow me to have multiple contacts under one contact for ex. under the company Safeway I would like to use Safeway as the contact name and list the manager and assistant managers all under that contact.

I backed up my data and deleted my MS Office Outlook account and reinstalled it. When I got to the end of the installation it showed that everything install and a connection was made. Then instructed me to restart MS Outlook. When I did that Outlook started then a dialog box appeared and in that dialog box was my email address and below that was a box to enter my password. It will not accept my password. I know the password is correct. Does anyone know what the problem is?

I've not long got my laptop back after it's annual health check.

For some unknown reason my Outlook data file (PST) is now in my documents folder in a folder of it's own.

I did query this and was told that it is now common to put it here!

How do I put it back to where it was before as it worked perfectly well there.

Looking around on the Internet there are a couple of folders it could have gone to.

Which is the correct one to put it in?

Hi,

I have seen this when Outlook has Add-Ons installed, when you close outlook an Add-On can stay active (Outlook.exe waits for that Add-ons process to stop) so Outlook.exe stays open which then prevents you from opening the program again as it thinks it is already running.

You can try the following from this article - The Outlook window closes, but the application continues to run when you try to exit Outlook

If your computer was hacked, then most likely there are some viruses and bad programs on your computer. If so, then even if you change your password, this password can still be figured out, as your computer is infected.

Have you ran any scans to ensure your computer doesn't have any viruses and such?

There is an annoying bug in Outlook 2010 Beta. The program works fine except when I delete messages. The first one will delete OK. Sometimes the second one too. But the third one.... Well, it does one of 2 things: Either it will stay on the message until I move to the next one or it will jump me back to the beginning of the list. When it does that, it shows several of my old messages as bold unread, although I read them a month ago. Does the same if I hit the DEL key or click on the X.
I've been working around this by highlighting multiple messages and deleting once for all.

This is running the 64-bit version of Outlook 2010 in Win 7 64-bit.
I tried posting a "frown" to Microsoft on this, but no response.

I was experimenting with registgry cleaners recently and downloaded the WinZip Efficient Registry cleaner. I have tried to uninstall it but am told the file does not exist. I went into REGEDIT and deleted the folder from there but it still appears on my list of programmes and I suspect this may be part of the problem.

I have attached a screen shot and done a system restore which has made no difference and am now at a loss. Is it worthwhile restoring back to an earlier date or will that not cure the problem??

* Re any Registry Cleaners.

Current accepted wisdom with Win 7 is to NOT use a cleaner.

If you ever think your Registry needs to be cleaned, repaired, boosted, tuned-up, cured, tweaked, fixed, or optimized it shouldn't.

In other words, injudicious use of "Registry cleaners" CAN & indeed DOES cause problems.

* You could try a System File Check. Option 2.
You may need to run it up to 3 times.
Let us know the result at the end please.

Reboot on completion.

If SFC could not fix something, then run the command again to see if it may be able to the next time. Sometimes it may take running the sfc /scannow command 3 or more times to completely fix everything that it's able to.
If not, then you can attempt to run a System Restore using a restore point dated before the bad file occured to fix it. You may need to repeat doing a System Restore until you find a older restore point that may work.
If still not, then you can use the steps in the TIP box in the OPTION THREE section below to manually replace the files that SFC could not fix.

A:Outlook 2010

To get all your data from the old Outlook to the new Outlook, using the file transfer tool or the Outlook export tool is the wrong method.

When you wish to transfer all your Outlook folders and messages, you copy the outlook.pst file from the old Outlook, then paste it into the correct location on the new computer which has the new Outlook installed on it (overwriting the existing file).

The correct location for outlook.pst on both Vista & Windows 7 is:
C:\Users\<your user account name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook

You have to enable "Show hidden files and folders" in order to be able to see the AppData folder.

Using the Export tool to transfer Outlook data should only be used when you only want to transfer some of the folders.

Lastly, a small matter. You should have posted your Outlook problem on the Business Applications forum, not here.

I,m using an old company lappy with fully legit Microsoft office installed.
It works fine with all my email accounts etc, but it wont let me set up outlook. (Formerly adminned by head office).
I,m not interested in accessing old company emails etc. I just want to re-set outlook to brand new, fresh and clean for my own use.
At the moment it just keeps flashing up,"IConsult backup cannot be found".
Any ,"Idiot-proof",help much appreciated.

I'm having problem with Format, spaces between the lines.
When I write an email everything looks fine, but when I got replies from people I see lots of spaces between the lines. Its like I've pressed enter after every line...

How to solve this problem?

Bullets - Why are they forcing me to use their default format? why can't numbering be normal on the left side without few tab spaces and then start numbering.

if you need more info let me know.

Thanks

Hello kopion and welcome to the forums

This is a problem to do with how Outlook makes HTML emails, you have several solutions but I think the easiest is to edit the template file. In Outlook, go to the Format Text tab, you should see a Paragraph section on that ribbon, in the bottom right hand corner of this there should be a little grey square with a triangle in it, click on it. Then take a screenshot of the box that comes up please Attach it to your next post.

As for the bullet points question, we'll sort out the line spacing problem first then we'll sort that out for you.

Hey guys and gals. This is nothing serious in fact I'm just seeking some opinions but first a quick background. My OS died last week so I bought a sparkly new laptop yesterday which caused me to upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 7 and further, registered for the Windows 8 upgrade to be release Friday as I understand it. With the new lapy came the Office Home and Student package. Previously I had Office Pro 2007 and needless to say, being in business I'm extremely reliant on Outlook for its email, calendar and CRM. The new package dosent include Outlook however the guy who sold me the system advised that I wouldnt need it after the release of W8. So after the long winded background story my questions are;

1) what exactly (if anything) is it with W8 that potentially replaces Outlook as we know it?
2) if I'm currently Outlook dependant, will I still need Outlook 2010 after the new OS is released
3) any idea why a "genuine" Outlook 2010 download would be available on what appears to be a fairly reputable software site for $44 bucks but its $200+ from the Microsoft online store.

I dont mind paying for OL 2010 mind you it's just that after downloading something last week that fried my OS I'm a bit wary plus after shelling out for a new machine I dont want to buy additional software this week that may be obsolete or that I may never use after next week.

Thanks in advance
Cheers
Lloyd

I've looked everywhere, but can't find out how to I think it's called, Filtering, to stop certain e-mail from coming in to Outlook 2010. I looked at the filter in outlook, but that didn't seem to help. I did it with outlook express before I upgraded to windows 7 and outlook. Thanks

Hello to all,

Today I couldn?t open .pst file, Scanpst.exe does not define it as PST. Third-party software does not help. File 2.5 GB.

How to open .pst file?

A:Outlook 2010

In the instructions for Outlook 2010's Scanpst.exe, it's noted that: "You must exit Outlook before using the Inbox Repair tool. It is not accessible within Outlook." Did you do that?

Please can someone explain?

I have just got a new pc with windows 7 & office 2010. I am trying to sort Outlook 2010 but am getting so confused & frustrated. I have 3 email address's that I use that are all pop 3 accounts. I set them all up in outlook & they were working fine other than having each one get a copy of the others in the files that are on the right hand side of the screen.
1st question - why has 3 lots of inboxes (1 for each account) appeared on the right hand side? This didn't happen in Outlook 2007. All 3 emails went into the 1 inbox!

I have pst fies from outlook 2007 on an external hard drive that have been recoved from my old pc that I imorted into outlook 2010 using the import tool. Since I have done this outlook has gone crazy. Am only recieving 1 out of the 3 emails. I have not changed the account details at all. When I test the accounts with test emails each one says it is ok but I do not receive the email. However when I look on the webmail they are there.

Please can someone help me out?
This is driving me nuts!!

So i have 2 slighty annoying problems with my outlook program.
1. It always open up in a small screen. I've got into properites and set it to maximized, i've "trained" it to open full screen, by maxamizing it everytime i open it. Its annoying!

2. I have 3 email accounts put into my outlook program. I have a Hotmail, Bigpond and gmail. They all open fine expect for me gmail, it open like minimized so you can't see any of the folders unless you click the arrow. How can i make it open like all the rest do?

A:Outlook 2010

Hi Mitch,

I believe the way to go about this, is to do the following:

1. Expand your 3 email accounts by clicking the arrows.
2. Maximise Outlook.

Now exit Outlook, and re-open it. It should keep your settings such that the 3 accounts are maximised, and the Outllok window is also maximised.

I've just tested this using my Outlook 2010, and it works. Can you try that, and post back here?

Regards,
Golden

So I have a hosting company (Network Solutions) and I'm having all sorts of problems with my email. First I keep getting an error that says 0x800ccc0f and before that was happening when I'd try to send a message it wouldn't go to sent items and it would just sit in my outbox. Additionally before that happened I was blacklisted on something called spamhaus. Can somebody please help me?

Template format in normalemail.dotm

I find that when setting a numbered paragraph format within the template it consistently resets the indent and hanging to 0.63 and 1.27 cm. I want 0.0 and 1.0 cm.

In normalemail.dotm I set it as a quick style and save. Other formats and setting all seem to work OK so I know I'm modifying the right file.

Small issue but very frustrating when you are trying to work efficiently and to look consistent.

Thank you for any advice.

At the moment at work I have my outlook set up so any new emails arrive in my inbox showing as a red font. Once they are read they revert to the normal black font in my inbox. This is working fine as it clearly shows which emails have not been read or actioned, however I have emails that are sent to me as part a group (four different people collectively called "orders") and ideally I would like to show this email coming through in a completely different colour so as these emails stand out from any others.

Is there any way on Microsoft Outlook 2010 I can do this by just isolating the recipient "orders"?

A:Outlook 2010

Hello Mabbs1960, welcome to Seven Forums.

Conditional formatting is perhaps what you need:

I am having a problem with Outlook. How does one list someone without an E-mail address to a group such as friends? I have tried and their names do not show up in Outlook? The old Outlook let you list names & phone numbers but the new one doesn't seem to do that? Can I fix it, so that it does?
Any help is appreciated.
