# Help, site not opening with error java message

Q: Help, site not opening with error java message

Trying to decide who to use for my Medicare Drug Plan, I'm getting this error message from this site (SilverScript). The error (on Firefox 17) occurs after I enter a drug and click enter.

Would be most helpful if I can quickly get a fix on this as I need to make a decision before the end of the week.

Here's the error message:

Try another browser say, IE. Then if that worksand you sort your drug go back to FF and then try to solve this problem!

When I log into my bank's Eteller (the bank didn't know how to fix this) on ether my laptop OS Win7 Home 32bit or my cell phone, a HTC Desire 626s, service with Boost Mobile. I get a flash of orange words but it flashes so fast. I can't read it or screen capture it in a normal way. The words are "Eteller requires Javascript. Please enable Javascript in your browser and try again". But with a bit Yankee ingenuity and a "as seen on tv device", see the link camera holder.jpg and I clamped the handle of the cell phone holder into a small hobby table vice. I placed my cell phone in front of the laptop screen and turned on the video record and captured the screen flash of the orange words. By slowing the recording to half of normal speed. I was able to freeze the recording and screen capture the words. See the next link javascript error.jpg . It doesn't cause any problems with login. Before I managed to screen capture the words I was wondering if my laptop and phone were been screen hacked and pictures of my transactions were been taken. This doesn't happen on any other web page. Only the bank login. Now that I know what the words say I am not worried anymore, just wondering why now.

A:a Java Script error message a web site

Hi Reble,
I get a similar message on facebook, in my case flash XX required, then it just automatically loads, no problem.
I allways thought that it was caused by either my AV or another security feature i have installed
BECAUSE my flash setting is manual, it then has to pass authorisation once started.

Alrighty. See, when I go to Aethereality.net, and I go to view their gallery, a BUNCH of their images are broken links. I tagged at the board, and saw that others were experiencing this as well. They were all told to update cookies, and I didn't quite know how to do that. So, I tried to update java, for her images work through java. And well, that didn't quite work out so well.

You see, my laptop was telling me of how there was a java update, so I clicked on it, and when I told it to install, it didn't. I found that rather odd, and I simply don't know why it's doing that. Also, when I downloaded LimeWire, THAT wouldn't work because my Java isn't updated. When I click on the java icon, nothing happens. I deleted LimeWire because that refused to open now, as well.

A friend of mine told me to delete java, then reinstall that. However, that attempt failed miserably. I tried to reinstall it, but it didn't work.

Now onto opening 'My Music'. It's not just with 'My Music', but with 'My Documents', 'My Computer', etc etc. When the 'report error' message comes up, I click 'Debug', and it opens again. I mean, that's the easy way out, but I want it stopped for good.

I've run Norton AntiVirus, and Ad-Aware. I'm clean, as far as they say.

Can anyone help me?

Information:

OS: Windows XP
PC/Laptop: Laptop

If anyone needs any other information, simply ask.

A:Java error, and opening the 'Music Folder' error.

If you open up you Java control panel (Probably under "Other Control Panel Options on the left side of the Control Panel window), click on the update tab, and select Update Now.

If this doesn't work, uninstall Java (using the Add/Remove Programs control panel), and then download and install it again from this webpage.

EDIT: Please explain what problems you experienced when you attempted to reinstall it.

Yesterday i let my sister borrow my HP laptop and when I got it back I saw I wasn't connected to the internet. So when I went to connect to my home wireless internet connection (Bekin Router) it directed me to a login page for at&t. I entered my login credentials and it brought me to the at&t page where you can check your settings for the modem. Well now everytime I try to access any page other than the at&t page, it gives an HTTP 404 webpage cannot be found message. I can't get on AYTHING. AT&T said something is blocking my access, but I deleted all my virus remover programs and turned off windows firewall. I don't know what to do! Please help

Check proxy settings of your browser. I suspect you are using a proxy. For Internet Explorer : Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN SettingsFor FireFox : Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > SettingsIf you find you are using a proxy, choose No Proxy in Firefox and uncheck Use Proxy server in Internet Explorer.

I am getting a recurring problem when opening Internet Sites.

Having opened the Internet Site , I get an error message saying "Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet Site <<followed by its name>>. Operation aborted."

The screen then reverts to one with a big "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" message on it.

By clicking the 'Back-arrow' towards the top of the screen , the required website is opened with no further problems !

Any thoughts on this annoying little quirk ??

i have been playing card games and puzzle games on pogo for quite a while, and the last few days i keep getting a java error message as follows
The following error has occurred:
The Applet Encountered a Programming Error (Cripes!)
Explanation:
This error usually indicates that either the applet has been corrupted in your cache, there's a bug in your browser or there's a bug in our applet.

How to Fix the Problem:
The most common cause of this error occurs when your copy of the applet is corrupted. So the first thing you should do is clear your browser's cache and see if this fixes the problem.

Pull down the Tools menu and choose "Internet Options"
Click on the General tab.
Click on the Delete Files button in the "Temporary Internet Files" section and then click OK when the dialog box appears.
Click OK to close the Internet Options dialog box.
Exit and relaunch Internet Explorer.
You might also need to turn off your Java JIT compiler. Here's how to do that:

Pull down the Tools menu and choose "Internet Options"
Scroll down to the "Java VM" subhead and make sure "Java JIT compiler enabled" is unchecked.
Click the OK button.
After clearing your cache, you need to quit and restart your browser. If you don't quit the browser, your cache will not be completely cleared out.

If this doesn't seem to solve your problem, try rebooting your computer.

A:Java error message

Hi, and a warm welcome to the forums, these errors refer to a security issue. Are you logged on as a user who has admin privileges? What Anti Virus program do you use? You could try disabling it during download and install.

Download CCleaner and run the cleaner application only to remove the Temp files accumulated during your attempts to install\uninstall.

Next open windows explorer (the file manager) navigate to c:\windows\installer (it is hidden by default, so go to folder options and under "view" put a check in "show hidden files and folders", undo this when finished)

Right click on "installer " and select properties then "security" make sure your user has full access (control).

Next go to start search and type:- regedit (press enter) right click on the returned regedit.exe and select "run as administrator". Navigate to:-

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer. and right click on "installer" select permissions, make sure your user has full access(control), do the same for:-

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall right click on "uninstaller".

Now try the download again, if you are given a chance try to right click on the executable and select "run as administrator" let us know how you get on.

I just purchased a new PC days ago. I work from home currently and this PC will be used primarily for work. Whenever I connect to Internet since I got this PC (and it has not been very many times because I just got it hooked up a day ago) and try to access my company's network to log into their site, I always get the following error message:

iexplore.exe-Application Error
The instruction at "0x6x725064" referenced memory at "0xcb197f68". The memory could not be "written."

Click OK to terminate the program
Click CANCEL to debug the program

Clicking neither OK nor Cancel does anything to solve this problem and make me able to log into the site I need to. Other sites on the new PC appear to load with no problem, so far at least. It must be something with this new PC because my much older PC which I used to use for work can access this site with no problem. I have both Spy Sweeper and PC-Cillin installed on the new PC too. I am using Windows XP Media Center.

I would appreciate any input anyone would have as I am fairly green when it comes to this sort of thing. It is so frustrating to not be able to get into this site which is essential to me being able to work from home. Thanks in advance!

I get this error message (below) each time I boot up:

"Windows cannot find 'C:\PROGRAM FILES (X86)\JAVA\JRE6\BIN\JUSCHED.EXE'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."

I also had a problem with my Thunderbird app sending out spam emails whenever it was opened up, and I ended up deleting the app (and the account) several weeks ago when I switched to Verizon. (Scans by Comodo and Malwarebytes had turned up nothing). I never suspected that this error message had any connection to the rogue behavior until I Googled the error message and read some of the posts. I saw an earlier post about this on this forum, but it was so old the answer had been removed. Sorry for the re-post.

Earlier I have had a problem with malware in my PC and I have cleaned it with the help of techspot Malware Annihilator. As per suggestion I had updated my PC with JRE 7 update 5.
From then on when I try to open Java based web pages it doesn't work with some important websites. To get back the older version I opened control panel to uninstall the new version but It shows an error "Fatal Error during installation" and also the old version JRE 6 u29 still exists in the programs list.

I had tried several ways following Java webpages using regedit and deleting the folders in program files. But the programs list still show the two versions with no "Remove" icon. In control panel I could find Java with missing registry key.
And now I could not install any versions of the JRE as it says "I need to uninstall older versions of Java" or sometimes "Installation Failed".

Usually associated with both explorer 7 & 8. Does not occur on all pages, so the problem is intermitant

I've noticed a problem with a couple of workstations lately. Both are using java 1.7.0_11 (i know this version is outdated, but it's the only version currently available for use in our company). The problem is that whenever java is initialized, it automaticly redirects to Javas download site ( Download Free Java Software). What i'm thinking is that user was previously prompted with a security question that this version of java is outdated ... what do you want to do? He probably chose to download new version and perhaps there was a checkbox to automaticly remember this choice for the future. But I am not able to find any settings for this. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, check through registry (perhaps there's still something here somewhere?). Anyone else experienced the same problem?

The browser is Internet explorer 8

Make sure all old versions of JRE are removed. Then install 1.7.0_11 from: Old Version of Java Download - OldApps.com
When you checked through the Registry you also needed to look for Sun and Oracle.

This may help: javascript:void(0)

Often on some web pages, javascript:void is not an error, it's an intentional function used by the website builder to prevent links opening a new page, which would be undesirable when, for example, updating information on a form.

I use a program called Juice to download Podcasts and today when I went to open it I got the message Error Occured See the Log File Crogram Files\Juice\Juiceexe.log

I'm guessing that it is a hidden file because when I went to Crogram Files\Juice there was no exe.log

How do I get to that file?

I just wanted to add that I figured out how to see the hidden files but that exe.log still doesn't show.

Thanks!

Hi. I'm getting a strange error message when I try to download programs off the Net. I usually save the programs to my hard drive first, so that I can scan them with my anti-virus program before I install them.

But tonight when I was trying to download Azureus, this is the error message I got:

"C:\Documents and Settings\Michelle\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\UHW7Y9SI\jre-1_5_0_04-windows-i586-p.exe[1].torrent --- Invalid menu handle."

Does anyone know what this means? I'd really appreciate any help!

Are you working with p2p? If so, you may need to check that program. If not, try to download again.

Hello,

I'm trying to setup an email for a coworker and we're having trouble. Sending and receiving seem to work OK but then when we try to open emails by double-clicking on them, we get an error message along the lines of "Can't open the email. Contents can't be accessed. Need to open email online." (this isn't verbatim; I don't have the error message in front of me at the moment).

He's using Outlook 2002. The mail service is with Telus (Calgary, Alberta). The incoming mail server is imap.telus.net (I read somewhere that IMAP mail servers can have problems like this).

Logging onto the server online can be done, and works, but he'd much rather use Outlook as the online webmail is a "pain in the ***" (his words).

A:error message when opening emails

Hi gib88,

Choose the Edit button.
Click on your IMAP account in the left pane, and then under the Receive Mail Items section choose “Download complete items including attachments”.
You can alternately choose - Use custom behavior defined below - and choose only your Inbox - or the exact folders you want to download the full items to.

If you have a large amount of items in your Inbox - you may want to create sub folders - and customize Outlook to download specific folders.
That may save you from getting file corruption - and / or making Outlook slow to open.

Hope that works for you.

Hi! our Gateway desktop computer running on Windows Vista started to show the following error message whenever we try to left doubble-click to open any folder:

"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Set Associations Control Panel".

The only way we can open folders is to right click and choose "open". We've already checked our mouse and folder options settings and verified them to be correct.

This has started happening the last couple weeks. When I click on my email I get this:
Account: 'pop.gmail.com', Server: '127.0.0.1', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR AVG POP3 Proxy Server: Cannot connect to the mail server!', Port: 5100, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC90
Now this doesn't always happen, sometimes it connects, and opens right up. Then I can send, recieve and log off. Then maybe a couple hours later I click on and get this same message, I 'X' the message off and click on the send recieve button. Then I either get the same error message, or it may decide to open up, and then I get my mail. Or I may get the error 3 times before I finally get thru. This just started 2 weeks ago, and being this fickle is starting to annoy me. It's a two year old HP with 2 G of RAM and Vista. I can still go to Google online and go right to my email with no problem. Anybody else getting this?

A:error message when opening a program

here your profile is limited on the normal user privileges.. meaning u cannot install softwares that adds new values to the registry. u need the administrator to add ur account under the security tab of each of the files, regedit.exe and regedt32.exe .. otherwize, see if u can get the local administrator password, login and install the program ..

or maybe a policy, .. start > run > type gpedit.msc and press enter.
expand User Configuration > Administrative Templates >System .. u'll find "Disable registry editing tools" .. if it's enabled, then it's active. u can change it to disabled.

After lots of problem I have just had my Windows7 professionally reinstalled and am now in the process of installing my software. The Microsoft Office software is Ms Office with Frontpage. My list of programs confirms that this is the installed program and Frontpage can indeed be opened. I was having problems with my software and eventually decided the best thing was to download a fresh copy of Windows XP. It seemed to be playing up while I was installing because it would just keep repeating the same questions and not get to the actual installation. I closed down and once I rebooted, I received this message:

I did that and had to reboot again. This time I got a message saying:

Re-installing the application may fix this problem." when attempting to open anything. In the blue bar top area of the error message it states "rundll32exe(or whatever i'm trying to open) - Unable To Locate Component." Now if I click OK on that box, most of the time the application will open successfuly. But when I restart the computer I may receive a total of 15 error messages before the desktop even loads. Hi, I am running Windows XP Home Edition V2002 SP3 on an ASUS Eee PC.

When I go into Windows Explorer I get a message "A program on your computer has corrupted your default search provider setting for internet explorer. Internet Explorer has reset this setting to your original search provider Google (www.google.com). Internet Explorer will now open search settings where you can change this setting or install more search providers".

Search settings screen opens, and confirms Google as the default search provider so I don't change anything here, just take the clause open and it continues into Explorer login. However EVERY time I go into Explorer I get the above sequence of messages/actions, so the re-setting is not taking effect permanently.

Thanks

Hello and to BC

Secondly, what type of program are you trying to download, if its a simple program such as an AV , or a free game or something like that, from a trusted site, it should not be giving you an error such as that

if its an older exe file maybe it just won't work with your xp, Just a couple of thoughts to toss out there
Hope to hear from you soon

Can anyone point me in the right direction of where to even start to look at where or why this problem is suddenly occurring? This seems to have started after a critical update but I can't be certain. I couldn't roll back to an earlier restore point as it only saves the last two or three (on every boot-up?) so there wasn't one earlier enough to try.

I click on the folder in my library, find my document, double click on it, word or excel appears to start to open as a box displaying one or the other appears and then the error message appears. I click on "OK" in the error message and see the word or excel icon in my lower tray - click on that and there is my document. Not a huge deal but definitely not the way things should work....help?

A:Error message when opening own created documents

Maybe running sfc & dism would help.

I run them from a batch file to save time.

sfc /scannow
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
sfc /scannow
pause

Save as repair.bat using all files or it will end up with a .txt extention.
Or just run them alone in an Administrator Command Prompt.
Right click your .bat file & choose Run as administrator if you make one.

Does anybody know cause/cure for an error message I get whenever I open a previously stored Excel 97 worksheet:

"A document with the name 'XXXX.xls' is already open. You cannot open two documents with the same name, even if the documents are in different folders.
To open the second document, either close the document that's currently open, or rename one of the documents."

There is never a second occurrence of the worksheet open -- at least, not that I can find.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I'm trying to set up a second email profile on a PC which already has a profile set up. The new profile needs to be password protected, ie. anyone who logs on to the PC using the default profile should not have access to the second mail profile without an additional password (if that makes sense).
Both profiles use exchange accounts. I've selected the 'Prompt for a profile to be used' option. However when I select the second profile I get the following error message:

Unable to open your default e-mail folders. You do not have permission to log on.

I'm assuming that this is because it is trying to use the Windows logon username and password to access the second profile. Is there any way to get Outlook to prompt for a password when accessing the new mail profile?

I am running windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. Whenever I try open outlook or anything in office 2003 I receive the following error message: please wait while windows configures microsoft office single image 2003.

The above error message is an identical message sent to this Forum by "drumstik59" but was for Office 2010 instead of Office 2003.

This was solved by the reply given by "Irene" which is :-

"..paste the following commands one at a time and press ENTER.

reg add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0 \Word\Options /vNoReReg/tREG_DWORD/d 1

reg add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0 \Excel\Options /vNoReReg/tREG_DWORD/d 1

reg add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0 \Access\Options /vNoReReg/tREG_DWORD/d 1 "

As I have the same error message with MS Office 2003 but have "\11.0\" in the script instead of "\14.0\" would this solution also apply to Office 2003 ?

A:Receiving error message when opening office 2003

Well, version 11.0 applies to Microsoft Office 2003, so it's certainly worth a try.

How to check the version of Office 2003 products

If you decide to import the modified script into the registry, please make sure you backup the complete registry first and a system restore point wouldn't go amiss either, in case you get problems.

msnmsgr.exe - Entry Point Not FoundThe procedure entry point CreateInfoWindow could not be located in the dynamic link library MSOERT.dll.Anyone have a clue what this means? It appeared out of no where a few days ago. I googled it, searched for it on a few different Microsoft search engines and pretty much came up blank. I found this link which looks suspicious (personally my suspicion borders on paranoia as far as computers go. My kids insist on having it though). http://www.neuber.com/taskmanager/process/msnmsgr.exe.htmlYou know what bugs me the most about error messages? There's no way to copy and past the stupid things into a search engine. You have to manually type the stupid thing in, assumimg it lets you do anything when its on the screen in which case you have to write the damn thing down first and then type it in.

When I attempt to open an Excel file using Excel 2003, the following error message occurs:

"this file is not in a recognizable format" etc...

Why does this occur, and how can I open the file successfully?

A:Solved: Excel 2003 - error message when opening file

Check the file extension. Am sure it has an extension ".xlsx" which means that the file was created using microsoft office 2007 excel or higher. This is why your computer does not recognize the extension of the file. the 2003 version of excel can only open files with the extension ".xls". The solution to this is to get microsoft office 2007 or higher version and install it or got the following link and download Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack and install it. it will enable you to open the file without having to install the office 2007 which may not be fit for your machine specifications.

I am the only person to use my pc and I am the administrator. I have Windows XP and am using Internet Explorer7. I had no problems until, due to illness I didn't use pc for 2 months. I tried to update cccleaner but a windows error message came up. There was no error code. Today I've tried to open an attachment to an e-mail from my nephew but the same error message appeared. I then chose to save the attachment instead. The error message still appeared I pressed 'ok' on the error message and it disappeared. The attachment was saved to where I had instructed. The error message says 'C:\Documents and Settings\(personal name)\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\ the last part changes. Plus 'Windows cannot access the specified device path or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access the item'. I have emptied all temporary files etc. to no effect. I've taken copy of error message but can't upload it as 'invalid file' shows. What is wrong?
