Q: intel graphics driver issues

I have my asus laptop hooked to my hd tv via hd cable. it works fine under the old driver, yet it's calling for an update and each time it updates, I get horizontal lines on my t.v. The screen on the lap top is clear and fine when i unplug the cable. I have to roll back the driver in order to get the t.v. to work again, but I'm sure the update is for a reason. What am I doing wrong? Am I missing something?

So I went to update my graphics driver but Intel's updater said this computer uses a custom driver meaning I'd have to get it from this website. I did but it said that the driver was not validated for this computer, which is impossible because it was custom made for this computer's hardware. So I manually installed it and now it keeps giving me problems like seemingly randomly crashing with "display driver stopped responding" type errors when I play games, often either rendering them unplayable or crashing them, seemingly depending on the game. Some of them have no problem with this I think but after the latest update to Phantasy Star Online 2 for example, it keeps crashing with this error after a couple of minutes or so. Exactly what driver am I even supposed to be using?!

I'm having trouble installing the drivers for a Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller in Windows 7 on a Gateway/Motion Computing M1300 tablet.

Before you say "DriverMax" please note that Windows 7 is the only operating system installed on the tablet. I hope there's another way to get it working.

Here's the thing that strikes me as odd: I have gotten it to work perfectly, but as soon as I restart it goes back to its old ways (default VGA controller driver, etc).

Here's what I do to get it working:

1) I run the setup file that came with the driver I downloaded from Intel (version 14.19.50), either natively or in Windows XP compatibility mode,
2) The setup software asks me to restart, and I comply

When the computer boots back up after those steps everything is working just fine, BUT then a Windows prompt appears telling me that I need to restart in order to complete the driver configuration. When I restart hardware once again has trouble.

Here are some screenshots that took while the driver was working correctly:

Why does it say that it will uninstall the drivers when restarted?

And here are some screenshots taken while the driver is NOT working correctly:

My real problem with not having the correct driver installed is not that display functions are lost (though they are), but that the Hibernate and Stand By modes are disabled.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there a way to keep Windows 7... Read more

A:Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller Driver Issues

I have this problem too. Because it defaults back to "standard VGA" when I watch video it is very "liney", in other words, not the full shilling.

No matter what I do I simply cannot convince Win7 that my driver, (exported using Drivermax), is the correct one and that is the one I want Win7 to use.

Win7 is a pesky little blighter!

I got my HP Notebook - 15-r111nia late last year and want to update the graphic card driver as it is very old (10.18.10.3958) since 2013, to a newer version. I tried using the Intel Driver Update Utility to automatically update it to the newer version but it saying a customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on my computer and so the download button is greyed out. I tried updating the graphics driver manually but it failed to install successfully after downlaoding on several attempts. I am soo fraustrated  now as most of my games are crashing and every recommendations i get from people is to update my graphic card. I would really appreciate anyone kind enough to help me with a link on the right graphic driver update and a work around concerning this issue.  Thanks in advance.

This is NOT official HP Customer Support and I, as most other persons on this forum, do not work for HP. This is a peer-to-peer user supported forum for HP products. HP maintains no official presence on this forum and it is unlikely that HP will respond in an official capacity. Any reply from a HP employee represents their own opinion and not that of HP's. It appears you have the latest production release of the Intel Graphics Driver for Windows 10. The only other driver listed on Intel's support website is 14.40.26.4474 which is a BETA version. This BETA driver doesn't appear to address the issue you are having. HP hasn't made it difficult to update the driver. The Intel driver installer is what is telling you it can't install the driver. This is because there is a customized version of the driver on the computer and replacing it with a generic driver may cause issues or loss of functionality of the hardware. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Please click the White KUDOS "Thumbs Up" to show your appreciation

I am not sure if this is where it belongs, or if it is a Graphics Card issue. I have an Acer Aspire 7741z-4433 with an Intel(R) Pentium(R) p6200 (2.13 GHz, 3MB 1.3 cache). This only happens to me while I am playing The Sims 3. I have the game set on the lowest quality settings, even though my laptop "claims" to be HD LED, etc. This issue still happens. As you may know I cannot replace the graphics card as it is apart of the motherboard, and to buy a new motherboard with a better graphics card would cost more than a new computer. I have been the my manufacture's website and tried installing an update of the graphics card, and that didn't do the trick either. I am at my wits end, and I just want to play the game without it shutting down and freezing my computer. The reason I know the error is because I do Alt + Tab to get back to the desktop. The way it acts up while I am in game is the screen blacks out but I can still see the software's mouse, and then it blinks a couple times and then freezes completely, causing me to do a hard shut down. What can I do to resolve this issue?

Hi,
I have a Dell XPS L502x, which I bought late 2012. Recently the hard drive became corrupt so I've replaced it and installed Windows 7 on the new hard drive. I've just downloaded and ran the software to detect which drivers I need to install and have downloaded and installed all of them with the exception of the nvidia graphics driver which says I need to install an Intel driver first. I've searched the Dell site but I can't find the Intel driver I need.
Please can you point me to the Intel driver that I need to install?
Cheers,
Mike

A:Intel HD Graphics driver

You Can Roll Back the driver to the old driver, if the new driver was installed. Go to the Device Manager, Click the Properties for the Intel HD Graphics then Click the Driver Tab.

Another possibility is to use the System Restore function and restore the PC to an available restore date that is BEFORE you did (or attempted) the driver upgrade.

A:intel hd graphics driver

At a guess, the Microsoft Basic display drivers are what is installed for your laptop.

Intel has not released Windows 10 drivers for that CPU. You could try some Win 7 drivers:

Download Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver, Windows 7* 64, Windows Vista* 64 (exe)

They may work. Or, it may be possible to get them in using work-arounds (install in compatibility mode, manually force a driver update).

It's regrettable that Intel is not supporting hardware that is less than 6 years old, but they are under no legal obligation to do so.

Hi,

I'm looking for the proper graphics driver.
I need a HP-customized driver as I have problems with the generic one on Intel's website.
Previously, I had a HP-customized driver which worked fine, I'm looking for that.

I tried THIS driver (from HP's website) but it doesn't support my resolution so it's probably for different hardware.
I remember the old driver I had (before reinstalling) supported my resolution and worked flawlessly.

What driver should I download for this computer?
UPDATE:

Hi, You can get around the restriction imposed by the oem graphics package by manually installing the Intel Graphics driver as follows. First, download the latest Intel HD4600 driver for your notebook from the link below and save it to your Downloads folder - you need the first option ( ie win64_154025.4463.zip ).  Note:  If you wish to install a different driver version from Intel, the method is still the same. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26079/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-15-40-4th-Gen-?... When done, download and install the .64bit version of 7-Zip on the link below. http://www.7-zip.org/ When you've installed 7-Zip, open your Downloads folder, right click on the win64_154025.4463.zip package, select 7-Zip, select extract files and then click Ok. Cut this newly extracted folder and paste it on your Desktop so it's easy to find. When done, hold down the Windows key and press R Into the Run window, type devmgmt.msc and hit enter. In Device Manager, expand Display adapters, right click the Intel 4600 device and select 'Update Driver Software'. In the following window, select 'Browser my computer for driver software' and then select 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer'. In the next window, click the 'Have Disk' button and then browse to the extracted Intel win64_154025.4463 folder you pasted on your Desktop. Browse into the sub-folder Graphics, left click on t... I went to Device Manager to check if I had the current drivers for Intel HD Graphics Card. Right clicked then hit properties. Windows Update gives the message "Code 80070103 Windows Update encountered an unknown error."  and there is no support info. I am using an HP L1950g monitor (1280 x 1024 pixels), connected through the VGA cable. Do I need this update? If Yes, how can I get it to install? If No,  how can I delete it from my system? Thank you !

I've been having problems updating my Intel Graphics Media Accelerator driver, 8.15.10.2119. It is the version that prevents Win 7 SP1 from showing up in WU. I read a thread about this very issue from 2011, but the link provided to go to Intel to get the latest driver leads to nowhere. I cannot find a place to go to update the driver. I manually downloaded SP1 and installed it and it is working fine. My question is: do I still need to update the driver, and if so, where do I get it from? Neither HP nor Intel is any help here. And would this driver cause IE9 to crash? The computer came with IE8 on it, but I installed IE9 in Nov. 2011. Shortly after, I was getting a message like "Internet Explorer has stopped working". I uninstalled IE9 and went back to IE8, but I had the same problem there as well. IE8 worked fine until I upgraded to IE9. Then I uninstalled IE8 and changed to IE9, where I still have problems. I have contacted MS Support about this, and one option given was to reformat the hard drive, which I really don't want to do. They were concerned about the fact that SP1 was not offered and hinted that the computer would be more vulnerable to problems without it installed. My firewall and anti-virus have turned up nothing. I use Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security. Any help you could offer would be appreciated. Tim

A:Could old Intel Graphics driver cause IE9 to crash?

Welcome to the forum.

IE 9 uses the graphic card (GPU) to do rendering of graphics in the browser, however it can be changed to use software as was done previously.
Open tools in IE 9 and select Internet options.
Then the Advanced tab.
Then check Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering.

Yes i read the stickied thread it did not seem to help answer my questions haha.
Recently google chrome updated to 13 and adobe flash 10.3 ever since then iv'e been having trouble playing flash based content in google chrome. It plays, and games work, but they get very low fps (it did not do this before the update) I read somewhere it could be an intel driver related problem for those using internet explorer 9, but i still have internet explorer 8 nor do i even open it or use it regularly.

& come to think of it, ever since i got this computer its felt laggy, everything i do on it.. i know it isn't the monitor. I can supply more info if questions are asked.

I upgraded both my desktop and laptop to Windows 10 recently. The desktop's upgrade went smoothly; NVIDIA already has Windows 10-compatible drivers. However, my laptop with Intel HD Graphics is a different story. I've tried the Dell-certified drivers as well as the latest ones directly from Intel, and neither work.

When I attempt to install the driver, I get an error message stating "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software."

Any help is appreciated!

I have been trying to connect an external monitor to laptop through HDMI.  There is a thread out there that discusses the problems of connecting through HDMI but I am having a different set of problems perhaps. First off, with every restart, the laptop can decide to shut down and not even display Intel HD graphics adapter.  There seems to be no rhyme or reason.  Sometimes the Intel adapter shows up right next to NVIDIA, sometimes it is only NVIDIA.  When it is only NVIDIA, the external monitor through HDMI is not recognized. When the laptop doesn't recognize the intel hd graphics, I have found a tedious workaround for now.  I go to bios, switching the display type (discrete to hybrid or back, basically changing whatever the prior type was), once again allows the laptop to recognize the intel hd adapter as well as the external monitor upon next restart. What is exactly going on?  And what can I do to avoid this issue? The only pattern I have found out is that my wifi also keeps dropping inspite of updating to latest wifi drivers, and no it is not connected to my router since wifi drops at other places too.  When I have to force restart my laptop after such occurence, the external monitor support is lost.  I then have to restart after changing the graphics type in bios.  For some reason, it shakes up the computer and then it remembers to support the external monitor the next time alon... Hi,

After having issues with my W7-64 bit HP Envy 15 laptop, I decided to reinstall the OS. Everything went as planned until I installed the win64_153619 graphics driver from the Intel website.

Although the driver installed OK, the control panel interface is now different (now called Intel HD Graphics Control Panel)

There's no longer brightness control. The power options in W7 only has 10 steps for brightness of which are either too bright or too dark. My question is, how can I have more control over brightness? Third party software?

System info is telling me this driver is causing my comp to start slowly and says to uninstall if no longer using it.

Should I uninstall - will it affect anything?

A:Intel graphics kernel mode driver

Hi,

It will affect your Intel Graphics card if you uninstall the driver.

I would suggest trying a clean boot which will use a minimal set of drivers and startup programs.
See if the computer then boots quicker?

Also check with the Intel Update Utility to see if there is a newer driver available for your Intel card.

When it has come back to normal again, Chrome goes all funny and the tabs won't switch. So if I try to switch tabs, the top thing is on the tab that I have switched to, but the main screen below stays on what the previous tab was. Also, sometimes the tab becomes unresponsive and I have to either restart Chrome or refresh the tab.

I've had this All-in-One for about a month. Every day, several times a day, the Intel HD Graphics Driver fails. The message says it recovered, but I have to close and re-open any program I was using because it doesn't come back right. As I write this, I fear it is going to happen again! I've checked for newer drivers and have found none. I've uninstalled and re-installed the driver as per instructions. This is annoying the heck out of me for a brand new system to be doing this and disrupting and even losing my work because I have to close a program to get the whole window to display. It doesn't work to just minimize a window either. All there is when it comes back are blocks of white and black where toolbars and work areas should be. I bought this at a local electronics retailer. Should I take it back or is there something that I haven't yet thought to do that will fix it? Sharonin Illinois

Hi Sharon, I feel for you but you can try this, I believe this will fix your problem. Based on my experience, this issue is usually happening on the driver version : 10.18.15.4248. Since you have already unisntalled and re-installed display driver and it didn't fix it, I do recommend for you to try using this version : 15.40.14.4352. What I've encountered is if you were to install a driver from Intel website, you'll be getting the message "The driver you install is not validated on this computer", therefore you won't be able to install this driver, unless you uninstall everything and start once you only have Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. You can try the below step instead. It will be a lot faster. Please follow these steps.? Download the driver here. Download the zipfile then decompress/extract it.? Open the extracted folder, then go to Graphics folder. It may say something like this (C:\Users\SuperUser\Downloads\win64_154012.zip\Graphics), then copy the path.? Go to device manager, right click on Intel HD Graphics 530, then select Update Driver.? Select let me pick, then go to Browse my computer for driver software.? Once you're there select have disk, then paste the path, then hit next.? It will install the Intel HD Graphics 530, without the use of the wizard.? Restart the computer.? Check back on device manager, you should have the updated driver that ends with 4352.   Let me know if issue persists.

Hi all.
Yesterday, I started having problems with my screen display (it didn't show anything when I tried to boot the computer).

I was able to boot into safe mode and disable the driver to fix the booting issue.

The problem now is that I can't play games with the basic driver and when I downloaded and tried installing a newer version of the driver from intel's site, it brought back the original problem and I had to disable it once again.

So is there anyway to permanently fix this issue without having to disable the Intel(R) Graphics driver ?

Hardware vendors are getting an early jump on Microsoft's next OS to avoid Vista-style compatibility headaches.

In an effort to avoid compatibility problems that plagued the launch of Windows Vista, Intel (NSDQ: INTC) is giving developers a jump on its Windows 7-based product line.
The company has released a pre-production version of Windows 7 drivers for graphics chipsets. The WDDM1.1 graphics driver is designed for "enabling the full Windows 7 experience," Intel said, noting that the driver is the result of ongoing collaboration with Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT).

Asset Management has always been a critical part of management the life cycle of your IT infrastructure. Avocent CTO Ben Grimes walks us through a hands-on look at how his company's technology helps."As a result of the collaboration, OEMs and beta users can stay in step with Windows 7 prereleases for smooth product development," Intel said.
Drivers allow hardware components to communicate with a computer operating system. Windows 7, the successor to Windows Vista, is expected by industry observers to be released in late 2009 or early 2010.

When Vista launched in January of last year, many hardware makers -- including Intel -- didn't have fully compatible drivers ready. The problems marked the beginning of a slew of bad press for Vista that ultimately led many businesses and consumers to reject the OS.

To avoid a repeat of those problems, Microsoft earlier this year order... Read more

It's been 2 months since Intel updated the graphics driver for its integrated HD4600. HP will not allow update of graphics driver, says December '15 version is latest. That is incorrect. December '15 version is old and has multiple bugs - cannot use PC until this is resolved.

A:Outdated graphics driver for Intel HD4600

Why, welcome to the forum. Intel drivers are not compatible with HP motherboards.  HP has their motherboard made to their specifications and has to develop the drivers for them.  You should run HP and Windows Updates to see if that helps your situation.  Win 10 comes with many drivers built-in. Please click the Thumbs up + button if I have helped you and click Accept as Solution if your problem is solved.

A:Intel Graphics Driver shrinks image

Under display settings, set the resolution higher (to the recommended resolution for your screen, proabably 1024 x 768 or 1280 x 1024 or similar, its likely defaulted to 800 x 600)

And I would seriously advise never to use a video driver (or any driver) that is suggested by Microsoft update, you should get the correct one from the maker of your video card or the maker of any other device that may need updating.

I already created a Service Ticket but they couldn't help me with this problem. We are testing several system with Windows 10 and all of them have the same problem. The display driver keeps crashing and recovering, but when this happens the screen freezes a few seconds and some programs crash because of it.

The error message is: Display driver stopped responding and has recovered. Display driver Intel HD Graphics Drivers for Windows 8(R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

I have tried latest drivers from Lenovo, Windows Update. Fresh Windows 10 install or upgrade from Windows 7. All have the same problem. Also tried drivers directly from Intel, but they wouldn't install, saying I need the drivers from the manufacturer (Lenovo).

Please update the graphics drivers for ThinkCentre Windows 10, because this is really the only thing stopping us from upgrading to Windows 10 in our company.

Thank you.

I have an Asus laptop and I am trying to install a clean version of Windows 7. The DVD that I am using is NOT SP1 so I am installing Windows 7 and then applying the updates. All of the drivers and updates have installed but every time I try to install anything related to the Windows Intel Graphics driver, the PC restarts and shows the BSOD. So I know it is the Intel driver. I am using the driver from the Asus website. I have not gone directly to Intel but I will and download the driver from the Intel site.

I have read in other forums that this may be related to UEFI and that I should have disabled UEFI when I installed Windows. I have also read that I should install SP1 first and then install the Intel Graphics driver. There are two updates left. One is SP1 and the other is Intel Graphics update. Should I try to install the SP1 first and then the Intel Graphics driver?

Thanks

Hello bpatter mate first up don't worry about EUFI that board is - if I amnot terribly wrong a legacy BIOS if you open it up you should see a screen asin my pic. Let us know which type it is please.

The other thing we would like to know is why are you trying to get Intelgraphics driver/s you should only have to use the driver for the GPU http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/82758/en-us the onboard stuff should and again unless Iam terribly wrong cut out auto when you plug in a card

The main thing here is to get SP1 installed ASAP

Hello, community. My model is a 20DM000VUS, that's the one with the Intel HD 4400 and the Nvidia GeForce 840m.The display is driven by the Intel HD 4400, and I am not having any problem with that. The issue is that sometimes when I start a program using the Intel HD graphics card it either stutters a lot, freezes or stop completely. The mouse and stuff still works and I can close the program. Here is the message I recieve.I get it everytime I start a call in Skype, or run something a bit demanding... I never got this message in Windows 8, probably because it was the right driver, but I don't recall updating any Intel graphics drivers after I got to W10. The strange part, is that Intel Driver Update Utility tells me that installing their software update for this GPU won't work becuase I have a custom driver from Lenovo. Is that correct? Any ideas? Heard of any updates anywhere? Thanks in advance

Have a good day.

Computer keeps giving errors 'display adapter has stopped working and has recovered' or something like that, and also several programs stop working properly like our Zune software. Does anyone have any answers? Would replacing the video card with something different fix this issue? HELP!

I was recently gaming with my HP Envy, when a game reported that my Graphics Drivers are 727 days old (nearly 2 years).I went to update the driver from the HP website, because Intel says that it won't update my driver and to go to the manufacturer. When I got there, there wasn't any new driver for me to install. I would understand if this was a very old laptop, but to not provide an updated graphics driver for a laptop I just bought a year ago? I just don't get it... Anyways, could you please get the latest HD4600 driver from Intel and modify it or whatever needs to be done so I can use it on my laptop? TY.

When a run of the Reliability & Monitor completes, it says the Intel Graphics Kernel Mode driver is too slow [6.3 seconds]. It says it is slowing down the computer and suggests correcting.

Other info to help Bleeping : File 1gdkmd32.sys ; Intel 82945G Express Chipset Family

Using the device mgr.& display adapter & online windows, everything says the driver is up to date & no conflicting devices. Is this situation something that indeed should be corrected, or gotten used to. I don't always know how to interpret what various statements after maintenance duties or tests mean. Research indicates this went haywire around the time of service pack latest, was installed. My sound stopped & Vista India/Pakistan repaired sound.

Suggestions please.

I cannot get the onboard Intel 82810E graphics controller to work on XP Home SP2 or SP3. This is a new installation on an old (very) spare Fujitsu Siemens Scenic T. I have tried the drivers downloaded from the Intel website (win2k_xpe67.exe) and from the Fujitsu Siemens website, which look to be the same. Also tried using windows drivers (system32\drivers) with the same result of 640 X 480 screen resolution and 4 bit color. Have tried the Intel workaround of disabling the 82810E controller, which defaults to standard VGA and doing a clean install of the drivers...still no joy. I'm ready to give up and just buy a cheap graphics card, as the machine is to only be used in a guest bedroom for people to browse and check email when visiting. Still, hate to be defeated by a graphics driver of all things. Was hoping for some suggestions or maybe someone knows of a generic driver that would give decent resolution and color.

Hi there, I upgraded my Aspire S7-392 to Windows 10 a few weeks ago, and while most things seem to be working fine, the driver for the Intel (R) HD Graphics Family display adapter has had the yellow exclamation mark of 'something's wrong' next to it ever since. I'm now unable to plug my laptop into the external monitor I use for work (as nothing happens when I do so), and graphics performance is visibly slowed down (to the point of unusability) when playing even fairly low-demand games. All of which would seem to indicate that there's a pretty major problem with the drivers. I spent literally 10 hours on the phone to Microsoft customer service trying to figure out the issue, but all they could tell me after a fairly intensive investigation was that they didn't know what the issue was, and to wait for driver updates from Acer or Intel. I have the latest driver from the Acer support website installed (although there doesn't seem to be one specifically for Windows 10), and I've rolled back and updated and tried several versions of the drivers from there, but all seem to have the same issue. I also downloaded the Windows 10 drivers from Intel that are supposedly specifically for my processor and graphics setup, but when I try to install them, it says that my computer doesn't meet the requirements (which is pretty confusing when I have the exact hardware the driver is designed for).I've searched these support forums for other Aspire S7 users having similar... 1. Download the "Intel Driver Update Utilty" 2. Go to device manage and uninstall/delete your Intel graphics driver3.  Run the Intel driver update utility.  Your current graphics driver is a custom Acer/Intel  OEM graphics driver.  Thats why it won't let you install it.  If the generic graphics driver that the update Utilty installs doesn't work quite right, then you'll have to go back to the driver that's on Acers website.  If don't want to use the Intel driver update Utilty, then you'll have to download the zip driver file instead of the .exe driver......and then use the "have disk method" to install it. It's probably easier to just use the Intel driver update Utilty.

Unless there is an issue with the drivers that Windows 10 loads, there is no need to go to Acer's or Intel's website and search for different drivers.

I have an Acer Aspire 5745 and it has Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit. I have Intel HD Graphics version 8.15.10.2104. I decided to upload it so I searched my laptop on Acer's site but they offer drivers for 64bit only so I downloaded drivers for another Acer model laptop (it uses the same drivers as my model does). I tried to install it but it says "The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer manufacturer".
So I decided to update my driver through device manager and I asked it to update from the folder where I had extracted the driver downloaded from Acer's site. But it says that your driver is up-to-date (it surely isn't).
Please help me, I need to update this driver for smooth gameplay.....

A:Update error in Intel HD Graphics driver

Have you tried the 64 bit version that Acer says is for your specific model? Many times drivers are for both 32 and 64 bit OS. You can also try the Intel site for your Intel chipset.

Proper game play isn't just the video driver. The PC must meet (usually exceed) all the other requirements of the game.

I am having a problem with my Intel 82852/82855 graphics card drivers. this started when I tried to update the driver. I downloaded the driver, and tried to update it by unzipping the file, and going to device manager, selecting the device, selecting update driver, and specifying the location. it worked pretty well, but right at the end of the proccess, where the bar was almos full, it stopped. the wizard told me that there had been an error while installing my hardware; "the specified file could not be found." however, I didn't see a file specified anywhere! also, after this, my video card, (or cards, I'm not sure; device manager shows two had the little yellow circle with and exclamation mark near it. I tried this several times, completely unninstalling the drivers from the add/remove program lists. I've even tried it with an older driver, but I get the same message. Please help me: I'm pretty desperate!

Problem: Intel HD Graphics keeps on crashing right after installation "Intel HD Graphics has stopped responding and has recovered error".I had this error when I recently upgraded my RAM to 4gb (original RAM was 2gb), but it did not start directly to crash. I was thinking that the upgrade was successful because it did not proceed to give me errors but it only started a few minutes right after I was playing DOTA 2 on my laptop. Right after then it kept crashing not when I was playing games but when I boot up my laptop the screen will turn black with a cursor and the computer beep of Windows 10 notification sound that something has been attached then ejected much like a flashdrive inserted and ejected.I have tried the following before writing my dilemma here:Tried system restoreMade a clean installInserted my old RAMTried the TdrDelay registry tweak (to no avail)I can fully use my laptop normally when I either disable the installed INTEL HD GRAPHICS or uninstall it and use Microsoft Display Adapter.I really need to install the Intel HD graphics driver without problems because since a graphics card helps a lot in the performance of a computer.PS: My laptop only has 1 slot for RAM.LAPTOP MODEL: Acer Aspire ES1-431-P1SHRAM used for upgrade: http://www.lazada.com.ph/kingston-value-ram-4gb-1600mhz-pc3-12800-ddr3l-135v-non-ecc-cl11sodimm-1rx8...

I have a HP 6730b that I keep getting the message (after the screen goes black for a few seconds) that "Display Driver Intel Graphics Acceleraor Device for Windows Vista stopped responding and has successfully recovered".  I bought the same computer for my niece, and she has the same problem. When I checked the HP site for this model computer, I can find no drifver mentioned with this name. Also, the fact that it says Windows Vista is odd as both computers run on Windows 7 professional.  Do I dare download the HP Intel HD Graphics with Turbo Boost Technology (International) driver that appears on the HP list for this computer and install it or will that just make matters worse? Both computers are rebuilt by Metro Business Systems. I have called them for advice, but have not yet heard back. Any ideas you have would be appreciated.

Here is the HP driver page for Windows 7 - 64 bit for your machine.  You should be fine downloading the Intel HD Graphics with Turbo Boost Technology (International) driver.  Normally if they are not the correct drivers they will not install.  If there is one thing I really like about HP is that they make it easy to get drivers for their equipment.

Thanks

Hello,

I upgraded my MSI Netbook U130 from XP to W7 x64 (I know, why x64 why not just 32-bit? - well that is because I actually upgraded two machines, and the other one was a more recent Lenovo XP machine, and I wanted to download only one type of W7 because of the large download and just purchased two activation keys, that's why). And x64 runs just fine on the Atom processor I have in the MSI Netbook, plenty fast and stable.

Anyway I need a Graphics Driver that works for 64 bit. I have the plain "vanilla" Microsoft driver that will only support 800x600 (not the 1024x600 the U130 used to support on XP), and I don't have the second monitor support I have used on XP to play movies from the VGA output on the side of the Netbook to the computer input of my TV.

MSI shows only a 32-bit driver for W7, and of course that is incompatible (yes I tried to install it anyway). Talked to the MSI tech support and they said that unit is too old and they did not bother with creating an x64 driver for W7.

Does anyone know if Intel has one for the Atom processor and the motherboard onboard (G3550?) graphics, or from any other source? I have tried advertised drivers from two sources (Driver Detective and the MSI scanner driver folks called DGTsoft) and neither of the drivers they supplied work, plus I spent $60 finding that out. DGTsoft actually listed 64-bit drivers, but unless I got the wrong one it was not 64-bit. I have asked for a refund, that was the only driver I n... Read more

Hi Norm,
W7 came driver complete, generic + manufacturers.
IT might have yours in its store.

Open Device manager >> update Driver >> Browse >> LET ME CHOOSE >> UNTICK show compatible >>
there might be a MSI in the left hand column DEFINATELY an Intel.
Select MSI/intel then in the right hand column scroll thru see if you can see yours.
IF its there install it IGNORE if it states not signed.
(have you used the Personlise option see screenshot)
As for your licence MS doesn't care if its 32/64 the licence is VALID for both.
Swapping will mean ANOTHER re-install

Hi, can someone with a better eye dissect two recent BSOD minidumps for me?  Specifically the 2016 one.  For a while I've been experiencing BSOD problems, which later I realize it gets triggered only after using my machine a certain way, I'm suspecting part of the culprit could be opening a WebMIDI application in chrome, not sure.  Essentially, I know they pretty much never happen if I avoid certain tasks, even over the course of several days of runtime, which is attainable.  But then, I seem to randomly trigger these BSODs the quickest if I combine running a WebMIDI application with a good deal of webmidi and webaudio usage, a running virtual machine doing the same things, and doing things in the background like HD YouTube, just waiting for the crashes. Also, I'm having suspicion that the bluescreen crashes are directly the fault of the Intel drivers I have, because the MiniDumps I have tend to mention Intel HD Graphics a lot, but not entirely sure.I already started an Intel graphics forum topic about it (along with earlier minidumps, dxdiag.etc), where a intel employee responded saying they've updated the driver and I should test with the current version, which I did.  I'm currently on 15.36.28.4332 (10.18.14.4332), and still getting the same issue.  I'm just not sure if I should continue blaming it on that or not, and thus bother replying to the topic?  Or, could this be an entirely different issue altogether?... A:Intel Graphics Media Aceelerator driver problems

Reference drivers provided by chipset manufacturers will often not install onto laptops because of proprietary changes made by the laptop manufacturer. When I reverted my HP to XP, I trawled older HP models and found one with the same hardware that XP drivers were available for.

A similar process is discussed in a topic here:

suggesting using XP drivers for the FZ190 model, which may be successful for you. The FTP link provided in post #8 appears to still be current.

I'm reinstalling my XP Pro OS and I need a file for Extreme Graphics Controller Windows 2000/XP installation disk. The message states I need this file 'ialmnt5.sys'. I have searched google, been on intel, I can't find it. Anyone out there know where to get it? I was going to burn it on cd and put in drive to continue my install. I'm stopped right now for the file

Do I HAVE to have this? Last time I said no, cancel, it completely stopped my install.

thanks to anyone who cann help!

Hi,

I have been getting these errors in Event Viewer intermittently, every 1-2 weeks since upgrading to Windows 8.1 in October. I have an HP m6-1158 (specifications linked).

I had to get rid of my last computer because of constant BSODs because I changed out the graphics drivers so often. That's why I'm reluctant to do it again. A friend advised me to do it only if there's a problem, otherwise leave them alone. If I do update them, he said, it's best to go through the computer manufacturer. Last time when my computer failed, I installed drivers from AMD, so I have been avoiding theirs and Intel's websites.

With this system, that I've had since May of last year, I haven't been able to update the integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 with this Windows 8 driver or this Windows 8.1 driver. Each time I tried, I got an error that my computer does not meet the necessary specifications. Therefore I left it alone and the only driver installs recorded in Device Manager for it are from when I bought the system in May 2013 and the 8.1 update in October.

The Radeon driver is from 2012 and came with my computer. According to Device Manager, it reconfigured or reinstalled for 8.1 but the driver version has not changed. I have not had any major issues with gaming performance. I tested Far Cry 3, which runs great.

I recently installed the game Papers, Please. After constant crashes on startup, I contacted support, who advised me to change the AMD switchable graphics options for the game to H... Read more

A:Intel Graphics driver fails in running and updating.

About your only hope when it comes to updated drivers for Intel/AMD switchable laptops is leshcatlabs.net. The manufactures are very bad at providing updates. The trick is the Intel driver which also has to be coded for switchable systems. It has to be updated to accept newer AMD drivers. The old Catch-22.

I am getting from time to time BSOD s related to the Kernel Mode graphic driver.
Sometimes I am getting them after i removed a hardware component during Windows running(USB drive etc).

Is this a version driver issue or a hardware one?
