Touchpad Driver that Unlocks Multi-Touch on older Touch

Q: Touchpad Driver that Unlocks Multi-Touch on older Touch

Haven't updated your laptop's trackpad driver lately? Then you may well want to consider doing so, at least if your laptop is equipped with a Synaptics trackpad. As a user on the Hardware Zone forums discovered, the latest Synaptics driver seems to enable multitouch gestures on older laptops that didn't previously support them, including two-finger scrolling, and three-finger click. What's more, while the drivers themselves come from HP, they should work just fine on other laptops with a Synaptics trackpad. Hit up the link below to try it out for yourself.

Hi there! I have a very annoying problem with my touchpad, I cant figure out how to enable the multi-touch gestures and drivers don't seem to work at all. First of all, my laptop is an Acer Aspire E5-572G-75MW. The drivers on the cd are for windows 8, (there's a synaptics and a elantech driver, when i try installing both of them, they install and at the end i get and "not needed, no device for update present"). I tried installing an elantech for w7 driver and i got an "ready to use" status at the end but absolutely nothing changed, no item in install/uninstall options, no item in control panel or in the mouse category, nothing. I tried the same thing with a W7 synaptics driver and i get the same status at the end but here i get two options:

Again nothing changed, even after restarting. I am unable to see any settings regarding my touchpad, this is all i get in the control panel mouse category:

That's all i get no matter what i try to install, i can't get anything to stick around, i've tried similar laptop's drivers, again with no luck at att and sucks since my touchpad has the clicking buttons integrated into the touchpad, its really annoying trying to scroll something. I tried enabling two-finger scrolling through some registry tricks but i couldnt find the right items and it didnt work. I dont even know what my touchpad's manufacturer is, all i get is that HID compliant mouse. Thank you!

I downloaded the manual. The touchpad is explained on p17 of the manual. Since the notebook came with 8.1 and I can only find drivers for Windows 8, you may not get full usage out of the hardware because you are not running the correct version of Windows. The best drivers come from the hardware manufacturer and they are no providing any Win 7 drivers.

Hello,

I use Windows 7( 64bit) in my notebook.

The most recent version of synaptics touchpad driver (16.2.21) was installed.

In device manager, Synaptics PS /2 Port TouchPad is well operated.

However, I cannot select the Synaptics touchpad in the mouse properties of the control panel.

In 'button' of the mouse properties, 'wheel mouse connects PS/2 port' is the only option I can select. (The sentence "Wheel mouse connects PS/2 port" is interpreted sentence since my window is not Eng. version.)

Because of this, I cannot set the multi-touch function in the device setting, installed by the driver, of the mouse property.

How can I solve this problem?

Plz, give me your solution ~~

A:Synaptics touchpad is not operated well, especially multi-touch

Welcome to the Seven Forums

Do you have the Device Settings tab on the mouse properties window?
Did you update the drivers yourself?

You may want to go to your computer manufacturers website and download the drivers they recommend and uninstall the ones you are using now and install them.

Hi all,
I'm currently operating with a Dell Latitude (E6410) running Windows 7 32-bit. I have the default Alps touchpad built-in, and was recently ecstatic to find the driver for multi-touch on the Dell Support page, something I figured I'd never get privileged to since this doesn't have a Synaptics touchpad.
Everything works as it;s supposed to, as far as the options go under the Dell Pointing Devices menu. However, I noticed that two-finger options are missing, specifically a two-finger right click. This is odd, seeing as there are plenty of other two-finger options, and since two-finger right click has become a standard with multi-touch touchpads.
So my question is, is there anything I can do to get two-finger right click? I don't see any options officially provided by Dell, so I'm totally okay with installing software or drivers from somewhere else, as long as they work. I haven't been able to find anything myself, as it seems every driver and software in the world is developed with Synaptics in mind.

Hi all,

I just figured out that whenever I open a PDF file, whether it be within a browser window (I use the newest version of FireFox, 4.0), as a downloaded file, or even just opening Adobe Reader 9.4.3 on my computer, the program/PDF file window freezes for at least 20 seconds to a minute or so, then unfreezes and lets me continue with my work. Everything goes back to normal, except for the features my multi-touch touch pad has, such as scrolling and zooming in and out.
I checked for updates using Adobe Reader's Help Menu link, but it said there were none. This issue is pretty annoying because the only thing that seems to solve it is if I restart my computer, and it happens at least a few times a week if not more. Any idea why this is happening and what I can do to fix it or prevent it?

Thanks!

Greetings, After installing Windows 10 pro from scratch into my old Spectre 13x2 (Product number: E9W92UA#ABA, Bios version F.20), I notice that all the touch gestures on the touchpad no longer works as it used to be.   The gestures on the screen still work without any issues.  The device manager doesn't show anything with a yellow exclamation mark.   I search HP for touchpad driver but can't find any.  Is there anything that I can do to restore the touchpad gestures or fix this issue? Thanks in advance for your time and help.

i'm using windows 7 and have installed version 16.1.6.0 drivers for synaptics touchpad.

i want to enable chiral scroll motion, as well as to adjust the sensitivity for the touchpad, as the cursor keeps jumping jumping around when i type, making me keep having to correct gibberish.

i know this version of the drivers supports chiral scroll, multi-touch, and other adjustments to touchpad function, but when i pull up the device settings for the "PS/2 mouse port compatible touchpad", the only menu options it shows are "overview" and "buttons", which only contain the patent notices and button actions. but otherwise, there is no way to change the functionality of the mouse at all. none of the usual menu options are there.

i've reinstalled the drivers, tried other versions, and rebooted a million times, and nothing seems to help. i know the capability is there, but i just can't access it for some reason...

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. it's impossible for me to get anything done like this.

thanks so much!!

P.S. this is a new netbook (acer 722) to replace my old acer aspire (1450, i think). it originally came with elan touchpad drivers, but i had the hard drive switched out for my old one and new drivers installed. it works fine otherwise, but maybe this has something to do with the problem... thanks again for any help!! :)

oh and i forgot to add that it currently will do two-finger scrolling. just not chiral, which i prefer. not sure if this is relevant, though it does mean that at least some other multi-touch gestures work fine.

Check the Touch funtionality in OKR environment.
Turn off the computer and Turn it back on and right away start tapping F2.
Select Recovery. Once in the Recovery screen Test the touchscreen by touching any of the option if it will respond.

If the touchscreen works in OKR Environment, I suggest you perform a One key recovery (expect dataloss).

If the touchscreen still did not work in OKR Environment, I suggest you call Lenovo Technical Team for assistance.

A:touch pad multi gesture support

Ummm...you are a bit behind the times it seems. Windows 7 already has full Multi-touch support. You just need devices that are multi-touch aware/supportive. And applications also need to implement support themselves to get the full benefit.

Hey hello!

Just yesterday I saw Acer Aspire R7, a 10 finger multi-touch tablet/laptop/transformer which was loaded with Windows 8 Single Language.

Problem is: I'd like to use the device to draw, but when I tested it (on store), the multi-touch become counter-productive and it keep registering my palm as "touch" when i try to write on it as if I try to write on a piece of paper.

What I know that in Windows 7, the Pen and Touch Control Panel have the option to disable multi-touch, while on this Windows 8, the Pen and Touch Control Panel only have 1 tab and does not include such option.

So the question: Is there any way to disable the multi-touch on Windows 8?

Thanks beforehand!

A:Disable Multi-Touch on Windows 8

In the touch pad properties in the control panel you will be able to un-check what's now called Pinch Zoom, I believe that will do what you need.

This post could qualify for several different categories so I'll just put it here in General Discussion.

I have downloaded and installed Synaptics Scrybe driver and software and installed it on my Toshiba Satellite A305D-S6848 laptop purchased in July, 2008. It enabled multi-touch and gestures and works rather well with a few minor annoyances.

Among the multi-touch features that now work (in Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit) are:

Two-finger scroll. Similar to MacBook scrolling but not quite as smooth. Works both vertically and horizontally.

Tap zones. Each corner of the touchpad can trigger a specific action. For example, you can set browser forward and back to a corner each, and right-click to another corner. There is a list of actions in the driver setup.

Chiral scrolling. Clockwise circles will scroll down, counter-clockwise scrolls up.

Momentum. A single-finger flick will shoot the cursor across the screen, a less enthusiastic flick will cause the cursor to travel a short distance after removing your finger from the pad.

Those features (and others) are enabled by the driver alone. The Scrybe software adds gestures. A three-finger tap brings up the Scrybe pad, drawing certain figures will perform a pre-determined action. Among those available are:

Draw a G on the pad to open your browser to Google's homepage.

Draw an X to close an application.

Draw an @ symbol to open your email.

And the list goes on.

A two-finger scroll in the browser works ... Read more

A:Multi-touch and gestures using Scrybe

I'm wondering about this. I have just installed the gesture's suite and everything is cool except the 3-finger stuff. I'm wondering if my touchpad only supports 2 fingers, but I can't find out how to determine this. It says I have touchpad v7.2. Any ideas on how to determine the number of fingers I can use? Thanks!

Hi everyone,

Ever since I upgraded my Dell Inspiron 15-3521 laptop to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1 last year I've had intermittent issues with the touchpad. Specifically, about 25% of the times that I turn on the computer I'm completely unable to scroll up or down using two finger multi-touch gestures (putting two fingers on the touchpad and moving them up or down to make a webpage scroll up or down, for example). Usually I just restart the computer to get around it but I'd like to fix the problem once and for all.

I've tried fixing the issue a number of times over the past few months by upgrading the drivers from Dell's website as well as attempting other fixes suggested on other forum posts describing the same issues but haven't had any luck. I also noticed the post linked below concerning the same issue but I'm not sure which possible fixes to try (if any). I'm wary of screwing things up.

Synaptics Touchpad Will Not Scroll (Windows 10) - Page 3 - Windows 10 Forums

I'm ready to try anything you suggest, including things I may have done already (ex: downloading the latest drivers), preferably saving more drastic measures for last. In addition, I should mention that after upgrading to Windows 10 I also began having intermittent issues with sound quality (bass is very low) when using headphones. Just mentioning it in case it helps with fixing the mousepad issue.

That would be the one I am referring to. I cannot seem to find information, about, if I bought two, and dual screen them, if they both will support touchscreen.

Just curious, if anyone has one of these and know the answer let me know please.

A:Anyone own the Dell SX2210T Multi-Touch Monitor?

Title: Excellent monitor, with one main problem Date: March 21, 2010
Product Uses: software development and testing

Review:The touch technology is as expected based on others I have played with (Sony, HP). I bought this for the sole purpose of testing multi touch applications, and it is working great for that purpose. It is a great looking monitor with an excellent crisp and vivid picture. The main con is that it is massivly reflective. Even in a dark room, I can see my own face from the light the monitor gives off. I imagine this is to make the coating so your fingers glide on it easily, but that is just a guess. I'd give it 5 stars if it were not so reflective.

Because it is reflective, I would not want it to be my primary monitor. However, you must note that if it is a second monitor (as in 2 of 2 in the display settings), the touch software will register your touches only on monitor #1 of 2. That is frustrating. So when I really need the touch, I go into the display settings and make it the primary monitor (1 of 2) insted of the second. 11 of 11 people found this review helpful.

HELLO MY TECHNICAL FRIENDS, I REQUIRE YOUR SERVICES AGAIN.

I HAVE AN "HP GATEWAY NV54 LAPTOP" which has "windows 7 home premium" installed. This computer has a multi-gesture touch pad which I rarely use. I prefer using a mouse instead.

I just noticed today that the touch pad does not work. My mouse works OK, but not the touch pad.

I tried rebooting without the mouse plugged in to the usb port. did not work. Tried action center trouble shooters, did not work. I tried system restore, did not work. I checked Device Managaer, under mice and other pointing device, it did not list my touchpad but did list my mouse. I checked mouse>hardware, it only lists my external mouse.

I am stumped. Can you please help, thank you,

Since there is no way to see the X1 Yoga in person and try it out before buying I'm a bit concerned about how it handles the usage of active pen in combination with touchscreen functions. Does it block out any touch input while the stylus in near the display surface? This would be less than desirable since a lot of graphics software and on-screen keyboard shortcut apps require simultaneous use of both.

The multitouch isn't all that useful. Keep in mind the vast majority of application interfaces are designed with no touch interaction in mind.

That said, I own three tabletPCs. They are only most useful with OneNote and Internet Explorer. I use it mainly when typing or having a screen flipped up in front of my is inconvenient, like while I'm standing over someone's shoulder or at a meeting table.

Packard Bell EasyNote TE11HC review | Expert Reviews

default windows 8, i couldnt get on with windows 8 unfortunately then it went totally crazy so i installed a copy of windows 7 ultimate x64
with windows 8 my mouse pad was awesome, swipe pinch zoom two finger scroll etc.

now with windows 7 nothing, not even the side scroll section of the pad works just normal mouse navigation and button clicks

ive installed every driver under the sun ALL of them, old, new, windows 8, windows 7, 32bit, 64bit,
when i install synaptics it says its a regular ps2 mouse and pad no settings for multi touch

im not a total noob so i went through all the stuff i know and checked forums even downloaded gesture suite which couldnt intall due to errors, then cant uninstall synaptics drivers with revo uninstaller due to some dll error so uninstalled with device manager and deleted the registry entries with revo, but when i reboot windows auto installs drivers

i even went to settle with two finger scroll app, and that came with error no touchpad, but i must have a touch pad because it worked with windows 8

N-Trig Releases Multi-Touch Drivers (Beta) for Windows 7 RC

N-Trig has released a beta of the multi-touch drivers for Windows 7 RC targeted at developers.

There are packages for the Dell Latitude XT and XT2 and the HP TouchSmart TX2.

Quote:
N-trig DuoSense™ Multi-Touch Beta Package (2.59) for Windows 7 Release Candidate

The DuoSenseTM multi-touch package for Windows 7 Release Candidate enables ISVs and developers to experience the Hands-onTM effect, and allows software applications to be developed with integral multi-touch capabilities.

In this package, more than two fingers can be used simultaneously as input devices.

This package supports Windows 7 protocol only. In Windows 7, multi-touch gesture-recognition is identified by the operating system.

If you are a developer and have DuoSense technology enabled and the Windows 7 RC (build 7100) version installed on either your Dell Latitude XT, your Latitude XT2 or your HP TouchSmart tx2, you can download and run the multi-touch package.

A:N-Trig Releases Multi-Touch Drivers for Windows 7 RC

Has anyone been able to test this on a Latitude XT2?

I've tryied it and it seems to be very buggy. The single touch interation is now terrible as any attempt to make a straight line results on a line with a lot of interruptions. So, dragging a window, for example, is interrupted like 2 inches away from where you started.

I'd like to hear if someone is experiencing the same behaviour.

This has a built in CPU (i5) with Win7 32bit installed. The IDS touch screen was working fine, the it stopped
working. The thing is, the Touch screen calibrates fine using Elo calibration software for spotting the corners of the screen but when you do the mouse check, it does not recognize moving the cursor or selecting anything. I suspect a Win7 problem so where would a good start point be?

Without knowing much about your system, I would say the first thing to look at is maybe update or reinstall your drivers.

After installing a new motherboard on my Lenovo Y50-70 Touch with Windows 10 Home x64, Windows has decided that my Synaptics touchpad is an Elan touchpad and installed the drivers for it. This stopped all multi-touch gestures but most importantly two-finger scrolling from working. The Elan Control Center is installed and shows that they're enabled but they still don't work.

I've tried to install the Synaptics drivers but they never successfully get applied. The bundled drivers from the Lenovo website also think I have an Elan touchpad and install the drivers for it, again though the mult-touch gestures don't work. The generic drivers from Synaptics don't work either.

It's driving me up the wall having to use the keyboard or dragging the pointer over to the scrollbar every time I want to scroll up or down.

I need some help trying to get this fixed. Thanks.

I've had this machine about about a week, so far I really like it.  Can't say yet that I love it yet, but it does what I need it to and the price is better than a tablet with the same functions and already has a keyboard.  This machine is kept in a padded case when not used in my desk drawer it does not bounce around in my briefcase etc.
This morning the left button on the touch pad does not work.  At first glance it sort of looks like it is caught on something or stuck, the right button works great a broken switch under the button is also possible but this thing doesn't move at all I'd think a switch would still move just not contact properly inside.  I need my machine and I've made a couple of upgrades like a SSD for the stock hard drive and a 8 gig ram chip, I am not thrilled about pulling those components in order to return for warranty replacement etc. as I'm pretty sure you won't be returning the same machine I sent in.  I'm considering pulling it apart to see if it is indeed stuck so it can be pushed back out from the inside but if this is a common issue with this machine I'd like to know that...
Can I be sent a new touch pad component, I believe I saw this is a separate board that attaches to the motherboard with a ribbon cable?  I'm not afraid of this procedure myself as I've been building desktops since the 90's and this is a really simple hardware to work on from the looks o... A:New week old Inspiron 11 3000 3558 (touch) stuck or broken button on touch pad--warranty parts replacement?

This is an fyi about the final resolution of this issue.  After a lot of arguing dell sent me what was supposed to be the touchpad but what I got was only the plastic palmrest no touchpad. Then because it's a "daughter card" I got more argument about the touchpad.  I got hot enough that I opened up the back, lifted out the battery, took out the two funky looking screws and the whole pad just fell right out of the machine.  The buttons seemed fine so I screwed it back down, put the battery back in and closed it up.  It's now great, the button was indeed hung up on the edge of the plastic palmrest.  This is a very well designed inside machine, it all screws down and all connections are with plugs or ribbon cables.  I wrote back to dell and told them they need to fire their tech manual writers because they're idiots, a monkey could have done this.  Apparently it is not easy to find only the mouse pad it's generally sold with the palmrest from what I can tell.  This whole machine is so well designed I scratch my head why the cpu isn't socketed unless they decided there was no room for a socket etc, which I can see that argument.  So if your mouse pad quits try popping it out first it may just be hung up.

Hey, I recently got a Toshiba P30 Notebook, Installed Norton Internet Security 2005 on it and kept getting an error message saying that it can't be reinstalled during startup, so as an attempt to fix that I looked through the startup options in the registry, and while i was at it got rid of a few other startup options that I thought I wouldn't need,
but some adverse affects occurred, the touch pad's touch and launch feature (hold down a corner of the touch pad and you get shortcuts to stuff) doesn't work on it, and I can no longer scroll with the side and bottom of my touch pad and being stupid, i didn't backup the keys I deleted.. so I don't know what I need to restore.. I tried re-enabling everything in msconfig, using system restore, and using "last known good configuration" at windows startup.. i called Toshiba tech support and they told me to use system restore.. I also tried reinstalling a bunch of mouse related drivers, but to no avail.. according to the touch and launch program, touch and launch is enabled, and I can't find the settings for scrolling with the touch pad..

the touch pad does work..

someone please help me! this is getting quite annoying..

I'm not computer savvy, and I am not entirely sure this is the proper place to ask a question for help, but I've noticed and dealt with over time that my USB mouse seems to click multiple times. I would tap my touchpad from time to time to get exact clicks when needed, but ever since I started reorganizing files which includes clicking and dragging, I've come across issues. So my USB mouse and my touch pad seem to have issues with being consistent with clicking. If I hold down the click on the touchpad it might spitter to clicking, letting go, then clicking again. Or it might click multiple times, and rarely will it not click.I believe I noticed a difference after I updated to windows 10, and I thought the issue was just my USB mouse with perhaps dropping it on the floor and it developing an issue. Could anyone please help me resolve this?I believe this is the laptop I'm using Y70-70 Touch Laptop (Lenovo)

I bought the PC in July 2015 and it had to be returned to HP 3 times! Firstly the hard drive failed in autumn 2015 and was replaced. The keyboard was failing in june 2016 and was replaced. The touchpad was not working properly in July 2016 and was replaced. It is now conveniently for HP out of warranty after more than 1 year and is worse than ever. The cursor is constantly not responding to the touchpad touch and constantly disappears, it also jumps around the screen. The touchpad was replaced in July 2016 and still doesn't work. Occasionally the touchscreen will fail to respond to touch.

Hi Magnutus, welcome to the forums.

Please check if you Lenovo S210 is on warranty under with this tool.
After that you can open a ticket with Lenovo for the screen to be fixed, if it is not under warranty it will have a cost.

If you are the guys that like to fix it yourself (and it is not under warranty) I can recommend you to check the support site for your model, read the Hardware Maintenance Manual (on the documents area) and check how the machine is organized on the inside. On the parts lookup page you can find the parts number so you can find a replacements for the component that is giving you issues.

I hope this links helps you.

My X220 tablet comes with pen and limited touch support with 2 touch points. I have no issues on windows 7 but on windows 8.1 it has changed to be working with only 1 touch point since some time that I don't remember exactly when. So that I can work with one finger only and 2-finger functions such as pinch to zoom are unavailable. My drivers are all uptodate. I think I should completely uninstall the related driver before reinstalling but don't know how to procede and couldn't find the solution. I tried uninstalling all HIDs through Device manager and one-by-one, specifically wacom device. when I uninstall it, I lose touch option completely. but reinstalling through Device Manager sounds like recovering exactly the previous faulty condition. Maybe there is a conflict with windows 8.1 like Microsoft Input Configuration Device which might be unlikely.  So is there any other way to have full wipe and clean reinstall of those touch screen drivers? I appreciate it if you put links to the drivers for me, if they are not available on Lenovo Support. Tell me if you had the same touch issue in Windows 8.1  and how you solved it. Thanks

Hey everybody, I just received my P40 last week as a replacement for another Lenovo device. So far, everything seems to work fine with one exception: When I turn the screen over to the "tablet position", the touch screen and the touch pen show erroneous behaviour.a) As soon as I make the first input with the touch pen, I cannot make any further input with my finger, so the touch input is simply turned off. The Windows setting to ignore touch input when the stylus is used is not active.b) When I try to tap buttons at certain areas of the screen, especially at the upper edge, the cursor of the stylus starts jumping around and shows up at the lower edge of the screen. That means that when I for example tap on the "X" symbol in the upper right corner to close a window, I actually click on some of the symbols in the system tray in the lower right corner. This problem stops occuring as soon as the angle between the two case parts (screen and keyboard) reaches/exceeds approx. 40. It does not matter if Windows is in "Tablet" or "Desktop" Mode. I already tried to manually install another Wacom driver mentioned at https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-S-Series-ThinkPad-Yoga/Wacom-Tablet-Service-for-ISD-Driver-Win... and https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-P-and-W-Series-Mobile/P40-Yoga-issues/td-p/3293985. The touchscreen stopped working suddenly on my Envy TouchSmart Sleekbook 4-1115dx. Hello, My Thinkpad Yoga is connected to a large display through ThenkPad docking station.  Its lid is closed.   During my work, from time to time I see random touch clicks on my screen, and random opening of menus.  It is clear that the touch screen is active although the lid is closed.  When I open the lid, and still connected just to the 2nd display (large screen) display the phenomena stops.  Worth noting is that although only the 2nd display shows an image, the laptop touch screen is still sensetive to touch.  This is I guess why the random touches show up on the screen -- it feels the keyboard not fingers. I expect the touch screen to be disabled while the lid is closed or when projecting only to the 2nd screen.  The solution of opening the lid while connected to the docking station is not acceptable.  Lenovo's local support suggestion to disable touch for the Yoga is also not acceptable -- people purchase Yoga to get Touch.   A solution please! Yaron

I just received a Z500 Touch with Windows 8 yesterday, and I decided that today I'd like to play some first-person games. I found that my mouse would not move while I was walking on the game (i.e. using WASD/Arrow Keys/Space) and so I could not move in the desired direction or look at a certain thing without releasing all keys and using the Touch pad.  Obviously, this isn't great when in active parts of the game - you can't stay still while aiming without cover! I looked online to see if there were any fixes, I found a few, but they were for Dell laptops or not for Elan. I tried going into regedit from cmd and trying to change the "DisableWhenType_Enable" value to "0", and the same with "DisableWhenType_AllAreas", but to no avail. Is there a fix for this, or is it just me being blindly stupid and missing a massive answer? Thanks,Darthnoodles

I've tried downloading again in case it was a corrupt download but same on the second attempt, I've extracted the files and run the Vi64\DPinst.exe install which seemed to work fine although I'm not seeing any difference in control panel, the mouse version isn't updated and I'm not seeing any applet for the touchpad to configure it (although I know that's not always the case now).
Any tricks for running the installer and is it possible to get more options to customise the touchpad?  The main problem is simply that I want to disable the pinch to zoom.

Hi @frostygirl13, and thank you for your post.Welcome to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts and other support personnel. My understanding of your post is that you are dealing with two issues, one, the projector lamp is on, when you expect it to be off, and two, the touch mat is not working for you. I am happy to give you a hand with this. For the first issue with the projector, I found the following post, with suggestions from forum experts @DavidPK and @WyreNut:  Sprout Projector.  This may be difficult to do based on your second issue. For the second issue with the touch mat, I would first make sure that you have all of your drivers up to date, and make sure you have the latest update for Sprout Workspace installed. You can use the HP Support Assistant, to check for updates. Please let me know how that works for you, and if it does resolve your issue, please mark this post as a solution. Kudos would also be appreciated.

The screen in the cracked part is working as it was working before the accident, the crack is on the glass. So I was wondering if I can replace my 15.6" 3840x2160 UHD Touch Display with a 15.6" 1920x1080 FHD Non-touch Display? Is it possible?I've read that whether screen you are changing, its working depends on the quantity of pins on the Video signal connector.

Hello all.
I have a non touch E5450 base, I want to put a touch screen top assembly onto it. I have sourced the whole top assembly including hinges. But I was wondering if the Hinge covers are different on this particular model depending on the screen used? I know some of the 7000 series have different hinge covers, but not sure about the 5000 series.
Comparing photos on Google has been inconclusive and I am unable to find a part number.

Anyone able to help me?

Cheers!

Shame on you HP for not including the ALPS driver for my notebook touchpad on your site. Yes, I know this product is no longer supported, but it still operates perfectly in Win 7 and in Win 10 also, except for the touchpad driver. Even though the notebook is not supported, you still have all the other drivers, just not this one. Why not this one? A Microsoft tech was able to find a work around and at least I have a partial touch pad. I was thinking about upgrading in the near future with an HP, but after this I really am going to reconsider my options.

Hello everyone! I have an older Acer Aspire 6920 and the scroll function on the touchpad won't work. All other touch pad functions work fine. We couldn't find the touch pad device in the device driver menu. We looked for drivers on the Acer site. and we found a Synaptics driver. They didn't have any for Win 7. Only Vista. Can we install the Vista driver on a Win 7 computer or are we out of luck? Thanks!

A few days ago I ran a Windows 8.1 update; ever since then my Touch Screen hasn't worked. After going to my Device Manager it shows that the Touch Screen Driver is missing; obviously the Windows update has something to do with that. I also ran the Hardware Troubleshooter and the result was Error 28 - (The drivers for this device are not installed).I have been looking for a Touch Screen Driver to download but I'm not having any luck finding one. Can sombody please point me in the right direction?

Can anyone help, so i can get it to work with win8
There is no driver at lg site at all
Kind regards

A:Driver for lg L1510SF touch screen

FYI, I can't find one either; however, I did notice that LG only supported that monitor up to Vista so you may have a rough road ahead of you trying to get it working. I also noticed that the latest manual is circa 2005. So, do I have the wrong model or did they actually have touch screen monitors way back then? Just curious.

I have a new Lenovo All In One desktop. The touch screen stopped working. So, I did some investigating and it says there is a driver error and that is no longer found on this computer. I have searched the internet in an attempt to find a driver for it and have been unsuccessful. Any ideas?

Hello.  My touch screen stopped working. I followed all directions from HP Support.  The HID Compliant Touch Screen Driver was found under Device Manager, Human Interface Devices however, would not allow me to enable.  I then uninstalled it and now I cannot find the driver listed uner HID even when I click on "show hidden devices". I have been researching to find an answer on how to reinstall the HID Compliant Touch Screen Driver but cannot find a clear answwer that I have not already tried.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, I just upgraded my XP Home SP2 system to Vista Ultimate, and it was a clean install. Now I can't find a Synaptics touchpad driver that works. The one from Synaptics' website and Toshiba's website don't install properly ... One part of it installs successfully while the other one fails.
I really like the virtual scrolling feature. Is there any other driver that supports this that I can download for Vista?

I have an HP LD4200tm 42-inch Widescreen LCD Interactive Digital Signage Display and just replaced my old PC with an new laptop running windows 8 64bit.  The touch feature on my screen no longer is working.  HP does not seem to have drivers for the touch feature for windows 8 64 bit.  Any one know how to fix this issue?  This is killing me having this $3500 display and not being able to use the touch feature.

A:hp ld4200tm touch screen driver

Based on the information located on the Drivers, Software and Firmware for HP LD4200tm 42-inch Widescreen LCD Interactive Digital Signage Di... page as indicated below; NOTE: This version of the iNEXIO Touch Driver is only installed on systems with a Microsoft Windows XP Operating System. The touch driver installation program will not install drivers for Microsoft Windows Vista or Microsoft Windows 7 Operating Systems, because Microsoft Plug-and-Play Touch Drivers are already included in those operating systems. The Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating systems should be capable of using the HP LD4200tm without HP provided drivers. By extension, Windows 8 should also have Plug-n-Play support for your TouchScreen monitor device. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Please click the white KUDOS star to show your appreciation

Hi, my iPod is not being recognised on my laptop. Any have a link to somewhere I can download a driver for an iPod Touch for Windows 7?

Thanks a ton :D

A:iPod Touch driver for Windows 7?

Most often this will happen because you've installed the wrong version of iTunes.
Check to see if you have the 32 or 64 bit version of Windows (press the Win key and the Pause/Break key to see)

Uninstall the current version of iTunes.
Download (and install) the appropriate version (32 or 64 bit) for your system.
