Q: Belkin Mini-Bluetooth Drivers - F8T016

Hi Guys,

I've been trying to get this device to work for hours, and no matter what I do, I keep getting a messege saying the device driver software was not succesfully installed.

Under Bluetooh Peripheral Device, it says no drivers found.

Has anyone successfully installed the Belkin's Mini-BT dongle, and if so, can someone give me a step by step, how-to on how to do so?

On my iPhone, under Bluetooth, it says that I'm connected to the PC, but on the PC, it says that the BT device needs trouble shooting, and it won't allow me to transfer any files to the iPhone.

Really, the primary reason I got the BT dongle was so that I could use the iPhone's 3G service as an internet connection when I'm away from home.

I'd appreciate any help.

Have you been using the system-included drivers, or drivers from an installation disc/download? I'm thinking they're not compatible. Are you on 7 64-bit or 32-bit?

EDIT: I see they work on Vista 32-bit and 64-bit, which means they'll work with both versions of 7. Vista drivers should work with 7.

Hi, new to the forums. I just installed Windows 7 and I've gotten most everything to work except for this device. I tried running the installer off the disk and it would not connect to my headset.

Any suggestions?

Hi everyone.

I'm posting here because I can't get my bluetooth adapter to get detected on my Windows Seven 64 bit. I'm trying to install broadcom, but it keeps saying the device is not detected, preventing me from doing the installation.

I tried the things on this thread: Belkin F8T016 Mini-USB Bluetooth Dongle But it's still undetected in my computer and I'm not sure what to do at this point.
Could someone please help me ? I'm getting really confused...

Thanks by advance.

Hello Lunie and welcome to the forum
Have you tried using the Vista driver from Belkin?
Make sure the device is not plugged in attempt to install the driver and let us know what happens
Ps if it does not install normally you can also right click on it select properties, compatibility and select install in compatability mode for Vista

I hope this helps

I just acquired a Belkin mini to use with my headphones.

Step 1 is to install the BT adapter. on the support website, it says that because I use Windows 8, I shouldn't have anything to install.

But things don't happen like they're supposed to. it seems that when I plug the USB adapter, something happens but then nothing else. So I install anyway the setup program on the CD. again when installation is over, nothing happens, no desktop icon, no special tray icon.
At this point I should point out that my ACER predator desktop PC has an inbuilt Bluetooth device... but for some reason it too can't seem to connecto to headphones, hence the purchase of the belkin adapter. So in my tray, there already was a bluetooth icon.

So what I did, was check the device manager to see if it recognized hardware. And apparently there is a problem, but this is where my skills end and where I hope to get some help from you guys.

Unable to install Belkin Mini Bluetooth v4.0 Adapter on my Sony VAIO 64bit Windows7 pc, model number PCV-A1112M
My problem is that having (unwisely) uninstalled Bluetooth from my pc and unable to re-install it, I am now trying to install a Mini Bluetooth V4.0 Adapter to replace it, but when I load the cd-rom and it asks me to run the software, firstly it doesn't request whether my pc is Windows7 or Windows8 etc, but simply sits there doing nothing. I have tried loading the mini dongle first, but get the same result. The dongle does light up blue when I put it in

I have a belkin wireless bluetooth dongle, model number F8T003 ver.2 but apparently it does not work with Vista. I am baffled as to why it would work on XP but not vista surely there must be a driver to fix this? Belkin website says not supported? but most of their products that say XP work with Vista so why not this?

Any help appreciated as belkin technical support are closed for the weekend.

First post, please be gentle.

I use a Belkin Bluetooth dongle at work and recently they migrated some of the resources from the workstations to the server. Since that point my bluetooth is not working. I checked around and found sp2 issues with belkin drivers that matched what I was seeing. However after rolling the driver to the unsigned version it still will not connect to any Bluetooth devices. My rights were not changed. Any thoughts?

When you insert the USB adapter, does Windows detect the new hardware? (a bubble should appear from the system tray informing you of new hardware found... it should then attempt an install of the device driver)

Make sure you have the full installation file and driver for the correct Belkin device.

A:Belkin bluetooth USB (License not found)

Hello Jeff Lewin

Try this
Don't plug in the Bluetooth device.

If you have any Bluetooth software apart from the included Windows drivers installed, uninstall them and reboot. I am not sure if this is necessary, but just in case.

Install the Bluetooth software. When it asks you to plug in the Bluetooth device and click OK, don't, and click cancel instead.

When the setup has finished, plug in your Bluetooth device and let Windows install the driver. (There should be two Bluetooth icons in the system tray; one blue-white: this is the Windows driver - and one blue-red: this is the driver which is deactivated.)

Now go to the Device Manager, right click on the "Generic Bluetooth Radio" and select "update driver". Don't let Windows XP connect to the internet, then select "Choose software from a list or specified location". In the next window, select "Don't search, but select the driver to install".

In the next window, activate "Show compatible hardware" (if it isn't activated already) and select your manufacturer's driver instead of the "Generic Bluetooth Radio" driver.

Click next until the new driver is installed. Now the system tray icon should be blue-white as well, activated and ready to use.

If you now double click on "My Bluetooth Places" (e.g. on the desktop), the software installation will be continued and finished.

So i spent the entire day trying to figure out why my Bluetooth installed fine but after one restart it disappeared and it wouldn't come back. I finally figured it out that the FN+F2 (wireless/bluetooth switches) is what enables/disabled it HAHAHAHAHA.

first time: WiFi on / BT ON yay~!
second time: WiFi off / BT on
third time: WiFi off / BT off

and repeat.

EventID is 17 and the Source is BTHUSB.I have tried many different drivers, both from HP and Intel and have applied two different hotfixes (KB982046 and KB980396) based on various other websites recommendations. I have tried the oft-repeated recommendations of disabling/re-enabling; uninstalling/scan for hardware changes & applying drivers; shutting down (unplug) for several minutes and restarting system. Currently, I am only applying the NIC and USB drivers and am still seeing this problem, although I have also applied all drivers with no difference. A couple of questions:Has anyone else seen this and fixed it?Could the USB drivers be the issue? I am using the USB drivers otherwise I cannot use my keyboard/mouse.Any other suggestions?

Hello Keslaa, Have you updated the BIOS firmware and Chipset drivers as well? You can get these from the support site, under drivers and downloads: Additionally, in the device manager, I know you've already uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, scanned for hardware changes, rebooted, etc. Have you also tried to "Update the driver software", "browsed computer for driver software" and searched the C:\ drive? I have seen a similar issue before and this resolved the issue for that unit. The computer was looking elsewhere for the driver and did not find the most recent one installed. Hope this helps!

For pairing your bluetooth Bose speaker to your computer. I have included the link 'SoundLink® Wireless Mobile speaker update' to download the actual software, and updates available. According to the page for the download, you will need to have the speaker connected to the computer with a micro USB cord.

If the above step fails to resolve the issue, I will need to know the full model number of your notebook, and what version of Windows you are running. I have included the documents 'Guide to finding your product number', and 'Which Windows operating system am I running?'.

Thank you.

So, my Rii Mini Keyboard with Trackpad (RT-MWK02) finally arrived from Newegg last night.
The unit came with a small USB bluetooth adapter.
I plugged the adapter in, but the keyboard in discoverable mode, typed in the password Windows gave me, and everything worked perfectly on the first try!
Then I decided I didn't like the USB port I plugged the bluetooth adapter into (it has a rather bright red LED, and I plugged it in to the front of the HTPC which was distracting, so I decided to move it to the back.
Removed the USB adapter, plugged it back in, bluetooth adapter is discovered by Windows again, but no input from the keyboard.
I try re-pairing it. Windows never discovers the new device.
I go to the list of devices, and remove it from the list, and try re-pairing it again. Again, windows does not discover the keyboard, even though the bluetooth adapter is still present (and functional) in windows.
Just in case it's a weird USB issue, I move the adapter back to the original port where it once worked, and still it does not pair with the HTPC.
In all of the cases it simply is not discovered by the Windows 8 machine when searching, like it was the first time.
To make sure there is nothing wrong with the keyboard, I try to pair it with my cellphone (Samsung Galaxy S3) and it works perfectly. (it's a little odd to see a mouse pointer on a cellphone screen, but I digress)
So again, I disconnect it, and try to pair it with Windows 8 again, to no avail.

A:Windows 8 HTPC Rii Mini Keyboard Bluetooth Issues

Why don't you try restoring your PC to the earlier state before plugging in your Rii. It might help wiping out the info already stored in the system and start fresh again.

You have a very nice smartphone. I also have an android phone (HTC One X) and sometimes I use it to control my HTPC. Download the FREE app on your phone and then download the server on your PC and you can control your HTPC smoothly via your home wifi network. You can even turn on your PC thru WOL (wake-on-lan) and turn it off also just using your smartphone. You might think about returning you Rii after trying the Unified Remote App.
My other HTPC controller is a logitech K-400 wireless keyboard with heat pad. It's always nice to have a full size keyboard with any PC. It also has a tiny USB dongle which didn't have the same problem like you have now even if I plug and unplug it to the front and back of the HTPC.

BTW, This isn't me on the video. I just grabbed it from youtube...hahaha. Cheers!

I had to update my bluetooth drivers (Intel) before I could finally get sound to come out of my new UE Mini Boom speakers.

But I still have a problem. If I am watching a Youtube video in a web browser (doesn't seem to matter which) and then switch to a video in VLC or Win Media Player, the sound from the new source doesn't play on the speakers. I have to power the speaker off and then back on and then it will pick up the new audio.

When I had a USB speaker the source-audio switched without any problem. Are there any settings that I can update, or should I just accept that a bluetooth speaker was a terrible idea for Win7?

A:Bluetooth speakers (UE Mini Boom) don't switch to new audio source

Youtube uses the Adobe Flash Player. VLC/WMP or whatever media player does not and thus different audio source. One thing to check, that may or may not make a difference, is if you have Stereo Mix set as the default recording device. This can affect sound playback. Stereo Mix is found in the Control Panel/Hardware and Sound and finally the Sound panel, Recording section.

I just got my new Vista x64 gaming PC a few days ago.
Have just made backups and installed an antivirus and most of the apps I need.
I just need to set up my internet connection to update everything and then I'm good to go.
The problem is that my Belkin 54g router doesn't seem to work on Vista x64.
When I plug the cable into my 32 bit XP PC, a LED goes on.
On my Vista x64, nothing happens at all.
From what I heard I need drivers to make it work, but I have no idea which drivers, or where to find them (I've fruitlessly googled around for 2 days now)
I even called Belkin tech support but they didn't give me any useful information at all (they said I should get the drivers from Microsoft or the manufacturer of my PC)

If anyone could link me to a driver to make this work, that'd be great!

Router: Belkin 54g (ADSL Modem With Wireless G Router)
model nr: F5D7632-4 ver. 6000df
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium x64
Motherboard: MSI P7N Zilent Triple SLI nForce 750I SLI S775 ATX DDR2 Zalman (a network card should be built into this, don't know if you need this info to solve my problem or not)

You shouldn't need any drivers to make the router work (in that there are usually no drivers required for a router). You may need drivers for the Realtek network port in your Vista x64 PC though.

Hi everyone. Lately had a problem with the wireless signal dropping on my Belkin wireless adapter. It happened at anytime. After reading on the forums about changing channels I thought I would change the drivers first.
Looking on Belkin website and finding the drivers for Window 7, 32/64 bit, I found the ones I wanted (I think). Did a system restore then loaded the new ones in. The old ones if you want to call them that looked like they were uninstalled at the same time.
Lets see if this does the trick. I never fancied changing the channels cos I would have to do it on the laptop also and I have this uncanny knack of messing things up.
The advice I guess I am putting forward is to try to update drivers before doing anything else AND do a system restore point before you start, it only takes a minute.
Cheers everyone for all your good advice.

Now I do apologize in advanced if I cannot ask for these...though I have lost my CD for the installation of the PCI Card that I have, and now I cannot get WinXP to find the card...

Looking at my sig. (computer 2), you will see its a Belkin F5D7000. Now I have tried all the drivers on THIS page for XP....though it either fails at startup (of the program), or when "trying" to install using the downloaded program, it says to plug in the card...though I have made sure it is several times, and it IS pushed in all the way...

I looked @ the card and noticed it had a tag on it that said v5000....though in that download list all that is there is "F5D7000 v4 802.11g-Compliant Drivers", that says v4....

So my question. Does anyone know WHERE to get the backup of the CD FOR the Belkin F5D700 Wireless PC card (says v5000 on the card)? I cannot for the life of me find it, so im thinking it possibly got lost in between newspapers and we recycle, soo its possible the CD got recycled along with the newspapers...

Thanks A LOT in advanced . I appreciate it.

So I have a Belkin N1 Wireless USB Adapter Card that was working fine until it broke. My brother has the same type that he uses for his old computer that I stole. Whenever I plug it in it says I don't have the proper drivers for the device. I thought this was weirs because it's the same model card and everything. I went online re downloaded the drivers and when the process told me to plug in the card it does not recognize it. I don't know what the problem is with the device. It works fine on my brothers computer and the device is recognized by my computer...just not as an internet card. What is the problem? Does it have to do with the drivers, the device, or my computer?

2. When you connect/ disconnect the USB adapter, do you hear the Windows USB ding/dong sound as you plug in and remove the device?

3. Connect the device.

Make sure all your devices are connected and powered on
Click Start->Run, enter: msinfo32. Click the + sign next to Components to expand it
Click Problem Devices. Anything appear?
If yes, click on it, Ctrl-A to select all, Ctrl-C to copy it, Ctrl-V to paste into next post

I've tried installing a belkin F5D7230 on my system (Win 2k Pro, Verizon DSL) to use as a router (duh!). Seven times. I down;oad the EZ Install from belkin's site, tried calling tech support 4 times, and every single time i get a "Cannot locate drivers" error. Call Belkin, "sir, you don't need drivers, just do this..." and leads me back to the same conclusion of needing drivers.

What drivers is it looking for, and where can I find them on the mess of a site that is Microsoft as they do not exist on the Belkin site.

Thanks in advance.

Have just installed W7 Home Premium, I installed my Belkin F5D7000 PCI wireless internet adaptor drivers, installed the card when prompted and when I rebooted, the computer got to the starting windows screen then booted again and went into black screen mode giving me the option of starting windows normally (didn't work) or system repair, system repair then did a system restore and therefore I lost the drivers. I reinstalled the drivers and it all works so long as I don't turn my PC off. I have tried to use windows device manager to update the drivers but it reckons they're up to date. So now i'm stuck, any help will be greatly appreciated

Hi i have recently purchased a Belkin Surf+ B300 F7D2101ed and i'm not able to install it on my Windows 7 (32bit) Pro system. I've only just installed Windows 7 so its a fresh installation.
I install the software included and i keep getting a pop up balloon saying that the driver has not installed properly.
I have tried going into the Device manager and the device is listed under network controllers, but not but not as the device name but "Connect USB Wireless" (or something allong those lines).
I have then tried to manually update the driver and specifying the CD drive to look for driver. It sees the driver, attempts to install it and then i get a screen saying that the driver did not install properly as it could not find the file specified.

I have also tried downloading the latest install program from the Belkin website, but still cannot get the device to work.

Does anyone know how i install this device?

Is the driver win 7? Is the device win 7 compatible? If there is no win 7 driver you can use the vista driver if you install it in compatibility mode.

To do that right click the installer>properties>compatibility>choose OS.

Let us know if this doesnt help

Hello computer comrades!

Once again I have ran into a problem that makes me want to bang my head against the wall over and over. My friend just bought an HP Mini off of someone he knew, and all of the network drivers are missing. My initial solution was to go to, input the model # and/or serial # and download the drivers straight from there. No problem right? Well, I cannot find the model # or serial # of this tiny notebook anywhere! I called HP and they told me that there should be a sticker on the back with both listed there, however, they are not.

I went to to just see if I can guess which model this is, but there are hundreds!

Is there any way I can find out the model # of this HP Mini without this sticker that should be on the bottom?

I want(ed) to update the drivers but according to HP's support site for this netbook it only covers XP Home & Professional & Vista Business & Ultimate.
I was wondering if would be advisable (I personally don't think it is) to update using the Vista Ultimate drivers?

I've just installed a wireless Belkin Print Server and having several problems. There are 3 computers, 2 on Windows 2000 and a lap top on XP. At first 2 of the printers could print fine. Then I downloaded the printdrivers for the HP 6110 on to the 3rd machine. Since then the drivers have been deleted from the other 2 computers - and the download version doesn't work. So now none of the computers can print.

I can reinstall the drivers - but what is to stop this happpening all over again?

The network is wireless (netgear) using BT Broadband. Can any one suggest what I can do to retsore the printer - incidentally after the pc drivers disappeared I checked the lap top and it was fine until it was switched on - it worked once then went teh same way as the others...Can anyone help?

I bought an HP Mini 110-3015dx with Windows 7 starter pre-installed.  I have since swapped out the HD and loaded XP Pro onto the mini (by slipstreaming the SATA drivers -- what a pain).  Anyway -- I started looking for the drivers for the hardware, and the driver .exe that HP lists for the machine for the WLAN won't work.  I run the executable, restart, and nothing -- no new network adapter shows up.  I've tried mapping the driver directly to the extracted folder that's created in c:\SWSETUP, but there are no configuration files (only cabs and executables), so I cannot manually add the driver. Does anyone know the chipset and have a link to the drivers so I can manually map them to the unrecognized devices?  Or is there some other fix?  As much as I like Windows 7, I need XP on this machine. thanks,WLH

A:Mini 110-3015dx Wireless drivers for XP Pro not working

it does this same thing when you upgard to the full windows 7 - even though that is what HP recommends you do. Then HP will tell you to spend $60 for them to fix the problem - becasue this computer is not compatable with anything other than the windows 7 starter - its just a way for HP to make more money once you buy the product.

Due to hideous misfortune I had to do a clean install of my personal copy of Windows Vista and remove the stock Windows XP from my netbook.

Many drivers were added my Microsoft during Vista installation but I have no adapter drivers for either wireless or ethernet controllers. Under device manager I have no category for Network Adapters but instead those two controllers are listed under "Other Devices".

Under HP downloads I found the driver for Qualcomm Mobile Broadband Drivers - Gobi1000 when I went through the process of stating my product ID and OS (Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit). I downloaded it onto my pc, saved it to the flash drive I had to use earlier as a bootable drive to install Vista (knew the lack of native cd/dvd drive would eventually haunt me) and then moved the flash drive to the netbook to run install.

After running the setup a blank 'ms-dos' window popped up, stayed blank and then disappeared. There was no confirmation of success of failure in regards to installation of the driver. But under Device Manager they are still listed under other devices and I am unable to do anything with them.

I downloaded, transported and ran the setups for HP help and support as well as the Wireless Assistant. Both run fine on the Mini. The wireless assistant simply states that Windows has no controllers assigned to find connections to maintain.

I was curious as to whether or not there was something I was missing, the driver was the inco... Read more

Good day..

I have posted something like this up already, but I can't seem to find a solution.

i have a Canyon Bluetooth device.

And this drivers doesn't work with Window 7..

On device manager, it saids it's present, but when i try to send and do things, it's like as if it's NOT there..

i tried using bluesoliels and it worked.. But then the side effect was that there was a BSOD... and if it's the later versions you have to pay..

So I'm just looking for something that could work with the BT device.. to I can connect my phone and do presentations on it.. Instead of having to plug in the cable...

If someone can help, that would be GREAT!

A:BlueTooth drivers

Besides the original BT installation discs, the only decent available solutions nowadays are either the Windows BT stack -- which has very few compatible devices -- or the BlueSoleil suite.

While I've never experienced any BSOD in BlueSoleil -- and I have way over a dozen random BT-enabled devices which I eventually connect to my 64-bit machine, ranging from mouses, keyboards, phones, headsets, home stereo, my car' sound head unit... --, I'm pretty happy with this piece of software.

Anyway, if you aren't willing to spend money on software, I would at least suggest you to try to search Canyon's website for driver updates. Or to search for a new dongle, Win7 compatible out of the box -- which may be cheaper than BlueSoleil.

Here's a list found I've found on MS website:

I would like to tell everything that has happened to my HP Pavilion G6-2301AX Laptop (windows 8) in the hope that I will get a more accurate solution for my problem.

3 months ago I had an overheating issue and since my laptop was in warranty, the HP engineer came and solved that issue but my laptop wasnt starting. So he told me to purchase an HP Recovery Media from HP and I did so. It worked fine. Then during startup my laptop started showing a message to replace the battery. This happened 3 weeks ago. So I replaced my battery with a new one and an original one. A week after this, my laptop started showing the same message that is my batteries capacity has been reduced and that I should replace it but I have not replaced it the second time. And in between the 3 weeks (i.e. since I replaced with a new battery), I have done system recovery twice and day before yesterday I reset to factory settings. But all 3 times, after a span of 2-3 days my bluetooth driver stops working. Like d 1st time I did system recovery, for 2-3 days everything works fine and then bluetooth is disabled and no way to enable it. Same with the 2nd time. And the same thing when I did factory reset. Since the last week, my laptop restarts in between. It is rare but still it does happen.

What is the cause for this? why is this happening even after system recovery and factory reset? and what is the solution.? How can I get my laptop working in the best condition again?

I've had 8 for a couple weeks now and suddenly running into weird USB and Bluetooth issues.

First, my Bluetooth will not let me uninstall a mouse and when I search for devices it does not find any devices. Used to pick up cell phone. Not anymore.

Second, I plugged in a USB mouse and it installed and worked. Unplugged it and plugged back in, got a message that the device was not recognized. Tried all kinds of things to get it recognized. The usual, Device Manager, drivers, etc.
No USB hot plugging in 8 without screwing things up? Even a mouse?
What the heck?

Several weeks on 8, may go back to 7.

Bluetooth not recognized - Go into device manage and select "show hidden devices" and delete any inactive bluetooth profiles (greyed out with code 45 I believe). Reboot and plug your bluetooth back in and see what happens.

Let's see if this works for starters. Good luck.

I did a windows 7 clean install on my HP Mini 210 4051 nr as part of creating a dual boot with Ubuntu. In Linux the internet works fine, but in Windows 7 it does not. In the device manager I see yellow flags over the ethernet and network controllers. Code 28 (My model does have an ethernet port).

Because the machine cannot connect, I downloaded all the related drivers (everything from the network tab) from the HP website for my model with another computer and then put them all in a folder on the Mini's desktop via USB. When I try to install the drivers through the device manager, and direct it to that folder, it says it finds nothing usable.

Here are the IDs

Hi all,

I just got my Bluetooth headset I had been waiting for...the Plantronics Discovery DSP 645. Paired it w/ my Treo and Thinkpad T60p. Everything worked great except when it came to the driver(s?).

I run Vista Ultimate x64. I shot them an email, but I'm betting on getting better help here. Do I even need a driver? Since it was trying to install one, I would imagine so. Everything else went perfectly. All the x64 Bluetooth driver sets for my Thinkpad were promptly installed. That's the reason I'm asking if I need a specific driver for the BT headset.

Thanks guys!!

I installed the wrong bluetooth drivers and now I have too many and I can't get rid of 2 of them. They were both from the HP website (SP51076 and SP51080 if that helps). I've tried uninstalling through device manager and everytime I restart my computer, they are back. I have attached a screen shot.

I've looked online and can only find really vague answers so I hope this hasn't been asked a million times already and I missed it!
Thanks in advance!

A:Uninstalling Bluetooth Drivers

Those Bluetooth peripheral devices are things that have been detected by your Bluetooth adapter, for example mobile phones, tablets, Bluetooth headsets, Bluetooth mice.

For these devices to disappear from the device manager you can turn off Bluetooth by disabling the adapter.

For these devices to be installed properly you may need to be paired with these devices first.

The system requirements on the box clearly state support for Mac OSX 10.4+ yet when I access your software and support area of the website for drivers the only option is Windows. There is no Mac OS option. Can someone please verify if this buletooth mouse works on a Mac OSX platform. Thanks.

It seems that VISTA has many /many bugs, and this Bluetooth issue is one : I have removed the driver in devise manager , and reinstalled Acer supplied drivers , but can not find them / I have installed 3rd party Bluesoiel : and have same problems ? Hi all,

My Apple Wireless Keyboard recently died, and while I'm waiting for Apple to send me a new one (for free, happily enough), I'm using a Compaq Internet Keyboard (over USB) which actually works quite well on my OS X Leopard install (please see my system info for more information).

However, my Vista install is not being so kind, and even though it worked at first with the regualar HID keyboard drivers, Vista continued to insist that it needed to try to install drivers. I allowed it to do so, and the keyboard stopped working - along with my Mighty Mouse, which also uses the HID-compliant mouse drivers.

Now, I can't find any of the HID drivers anywhere, even when selecting from a list of all drivers (they used to appear under Mircosoft or Microsoft Corporation), and my mouse is only reading as a generic 'Bluetooth Peripheral Device.' Pointing the drivers install to C:\Windows\ is also useless, as it finds the drivers (usually) but claims they cannot be installed. It gives me one of these two errors:

"The system cannot find the file specified.", or:
"A file cannot be created where a file already exists."

This is driving me nuts, as it's rendered my Vista partition almost useless. Any help at all is GREATELY appreciated.

Hello. I have recently bought a Signalex Bluetooth USB Dongle at Poundland in the UK. When plugging in the dongle in my Windows 8.1 laptop some generic drivers get installed. They are called "Generic Bluetooth Radio", which seem to be the default Microsoft drivers. The functionality I get from these drivers is very limited.

A quick Google search for that brand resulted in me finding this very useful blog post:

My boring self-employed life: Signalex Bluetooth Driver Download (Poundland)

The person who posted this bought the same dongle at the same chain at around the same time I did, and also faced the same issue I'm facing: lack of official drivers.

He then searched for drivers to basically get the most out of the dongle, and kindly uploaded a .zip file with all the drivers he had to install to do so. However, he did NOT include any instructions on how to install them. Some people asked for instructions in the comments section but the person never replied to them, and nobody who has succeded in installing them provided any help either. I have uploaded this .zip file for all of you to download so you can see its contents and help me with the installation.

The only thing I could do with the contents of the .zip file was to run the install.bat file, which seems to have done something but I have not seen any additional functionality in the bluetooth getting added.

My computer runs 64-bit Windows. From what I have read from the blog post, the "filter_x64"... Read more

A:Need help to install specific bluetooth drivers

Welcome to the forum!

About all I can suggest is try updating in Device Manager and point to those different .inf files in the profile_x64 folder to see if any of them work.

I am using Inspiron 15 3521 Laptop with Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate. Bluetooth has been a concern for me from the day i got windows installed. Bluetooth is working fine with Ubuntu.
I have tried updating driver several times but the issue continues even after the network driver was updated. Bluetooth devices are sometimes not getting detected. Even if it gets detected, drivers for the Bluetooth device is failing to get installed.

Hi Everyone,

The specs of the PC

Dell Latitude
Windows XP SP3
WIDCOMM Bluetooth

I'm having a bit of a problem with a particular user pc. The user uses a Blackberry 8830. It came with a cd to installed the Blackberry Desktop Manager 4.6. It supposed to sync your emails calenders and contacts on your computer to the blackberry by using a USB or Bluetooth. I've got it to work with the USB but not bluetooth. I did alot of research online and found out that it only works with the Microsoft Bluetooth Stack Drivers. So I found this link below, if it will work on Windows Xp SP3.

But I'm little confues when it says

"I edited the XP Bluetooth driver INFs to add support for my radio. XP now treats the radio as a Bluetooth radio and the in-built stack works."

Where do I find the INFs and how to modify it?

So I got a bluetooth dongle (Veho VB-5881) so I could use my bluetooth headphones with my laptop. For some reason its not working but in trying to make it work I installed all kinds of drivers from Toshiba, Broadcom and the Sony website. None of this has worked and to be honest I'm sick of it so I'm giving up. So can anyone help me in removing all the drivers I've put in?

I'm currently using HP DV7-7015CA on windows 8.1
it came with Intel N-2230 wireless/bluetooth chip, but it was a pain in the ass and had lots of connection problems
so I replaced the with a Atheros AR5B97 wireless/bluetooth chip from my older laptop

the problem I have now is that the bluetooth isn't detected/working on my HP
can anyone spare some tips to solve this?

I've already tried all the possible drivers from ATHEROS drivers for Microsoft Windows (Atheros?????)
and it's still not working
I've also tried atheros bluetooth manager driver from acer (the brand of my old laptop)
but it didn't support win8, so it wouldn't install
I've also tried atheros bluetooth driver from sony, but it mad absolutely no difference

I've concluded that I DO infact have the driver, I just can't seem to enable it
when I put the atheros chip back in acer, it also doesn't show bluetooth in device manager, but when i press the wireless hotkey (fn+F3), on the acer, and switch bluetooth to on thru the utility, bluetooth popped up in device manager
so i guess the question now is how do I enable the bluetooth on my HP?

Trying to set up a coworker's Blackberry 8330 to sync up with her PC via Bluetooth.

Her provider is Verizon.

I've got a KB article off the BB site and it says that the Blackberry Desktop Manager sync software needs to use Native XP BT Drivers that is supplied in SP2. Her PC"s is relatively new and is running XP Pro SP3.

Apparently, in Control Panel there should be a Bluetooth Devices icon, but it isn't there.

I've also checked on my PC that is also XP Pro SP3 and I also don't have a BT icon in control panel.

The BB software won't work with 3rd party BT drivers (I'm using a Trendnet BT adapter that installs Widdcomm drivers) and I need to find a way to get the generic XP drivers.

Where can I find them?

A:Native WinXP Bluetooth Drivers?

This might be a silly question, but the PC does have a bluetooth adaptor connected? I doubt you would see the control panel applet until you connect a device.

Yes, SP2 or later should support bluetooth.
