I have intel hd 3000 but it shows intel hd family

Q: I have intel hd 3000 but it shows intel hd family

This laptop is an acer as5749-6607 core i5-2450m. On the sticker it shows intel hd 3000. When i try update the intel hd family in the device manager it says it up to date, so i go to the intel website and download the driver there. But it doesn't work, it says it doesnt meet the requirements. How do i get the right driver?

A: I have intel hd 3000 but it shows intel hd family

Hi de hi, welcome to SevenForums

I don't know which driver you have tried to update, Intel family usually denotes chipsets, the one you want is a graphics driver.
Go here you will see Intels auto driver checking tool.

Is Intel HD Graphics Family better than Intel G41 express chipset?

The name is only Intel HD Graphics Family there isnt a number after it in dxdiag

A:Is Intel HD Graphics Family better than Intel G41 express chipset?

Intel G41 express is the very old, Core 2 equivalent on-motherboard-gpu aka Eaglelake. It only supports up to dx10, it has awful and old drivers, and incomplete opengl support (less apps can run on it). It can idle in recent games like Dota 2 with up to 30fps with everything on low. Key word: idle. Don't even think about playing under more than 15-20fps.

Intel HD Graphics Family is on-cpu-die-gpu aka Sandy Bridge, it's still old now, but does have support for dx11 and opengl, and it has a lot more raw power than x4500(g41), depending on the cpu. It even supports overclocking with sizeable improvements.

Really there is no contest between the two families.

Hey there

I'm new here and was just wondering if anyone could shed some light on my confusion?

I'm looking to buy this laptop ... http://www.asuslaptop.co.uk/proddeta...53E-SX123V-8GB

And was just curious about what the graphic card is? As far as I know the 2nd-gen cpus have the HD 3000 but that site says the intel GMA HD which I thought was the card even before the 1st gen "I" cpus :S

So does anyone know if this is just a wording error or the actual card? Any help appreciated

My computer is a Gateway One and like it has an Intel HD Family graphics card.
I update the drivers but it causes minecraft to not work (it says bad graphics card)
It also doesnt allow me to use Photoshop CS6 (i can load it but as soon as i open a photo it wont show photo)
Right now my driver is currently on 8.15.10.2372 but when i update it goes to 9.17.10.2736 and changes the name from Intel HD Graphics Family to Intel HD Graphics Family (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.2)
Is there any way to have it fully updated and allow it to have minecraft and photoshop working?
I need at least photoshop to be working! thats my job so yeah.... thanks!

Hello everybody. So I have a Gateway ZX6971 Running windows 8 RP Build 8400
I am having this problem where i cant get minecraft to work. It turns on and starts up, but then the game states that i have a bad graphics driver or openGL. My driver is actually up to date and same for openGL so what can I do to fix this? The driver is actually on what i believe is made for windows 8 because it is now titled Intel(R) HD Graphics Family (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.2). Now i did a clean instal onto here so my old driver is gone. I recently downloaded it again through softpedia (gateway for some reason only has Nvidia drivers on the page for my computer) and as soon as i load it, it states that it doesnt meet the min. system req..... Basically how can i make minecraft work?

Nope, you didn't install intel video drivers. Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.2 says it's default microsoft driver, not intel's.

In order to use new memory I should re-install windowsbecause the pre-installed OS couldn't boot into windows environment. I re-installed windows 7 pro x64 and then everything seemed to be right. However everything changed when I had to install graphics drivers. I tried every method and every site (hp, intel, windows) and most of graphic drivers versions. The problem is that most times windows crash and reboot just after welcome screen (sometimes before it) of some seconds later. Without graphics driver, using Standard vga adapter everything goes fine but the screen quality is too low and I can't use applications that use graphic hardware accelaration. I don't remember if specs of my refurbished EliteBook included extra discrete graphics card like other EliteBook products. Besides device manager doesn't detect something like this. Here is the Service Manual: Manual You have either Intel HD 3000 or Radeon HD 6470M, but I think the real problem is that you may have installed incompatible memory. The dead giveaway was that when you rebooted after installing the new memory the OS would not load. Anyways, basically, after I boot Windows 8, the screen goes black like it shut off (actually, it does shut off because it's the DEEP black when the screen is off, not the slight black when the screen is on, but just not functioning).

What is the problem here? Thanks!

Welcome to seven forums: Looks like an overheating problem. I would first try some canned compressed air and blow out the exhaust and intakes. Of course after the system has been shut down to cool down. But as bad as it is it could be a bad card, make sure yo have all the latest drivers. But since this appears after a couple of hours i would hedge a bet it is overheating, which may have caused your card to go bad as well. My opinion. fabe

Zoostorm Intel Celeron E3500 2.7Ghz CPU
Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset Family

And not entirely sure about the PSU... Haven't mustered up the stones to open it up and take a peak under the hood yet... I'm not very tech savy with the hardware unless it's relatively basic...

There's typically an option in the BIOS setting to allow you to dedicate more system memory to the onboard video. If there is no such option, then you're stuck with what you have.

I recently upgraded the OS on my Vaio laptop to Windows 8 but instead of using generic drivers supplied by Intel for my Intel HD Graphics 3000 IGPU like the last time I used Windows 7 I installed the OEM drivers supplied by Sony and I'm running into a little performance issue with a couple of my games but I'm not sure if it is the drivers I got from Sony or Windows 8. Would there be a performance difference between using Intel's generic drivers vs Sony's drivers for my Intel HD Graphics 3000?

A:Better to use Generic or OEM Drivers for Intel HD 3000?

Generally you should use the OEM drivers. OEMs often use customized hardware for which the generic drivers are not appropriate Intel warns about this on their site.

I just reformatted a Samsung laptop and am trying to get it all loaded and patched back up again. The laptop has a AMD Radeon HD 7400M graphics adapter. So after getting it up and running (at a low resolution obviously), I downloaded and installed the latest AMD graphics driver w/ the Catalyst Control Center thingy. Now the display is at the native 1600x900, but Device Manager shows both the AMD graphics adapter and Intel HD Graphics 3000 adapter.

Why are there two listed? I tried removing the Intel adapter earlier and the display went all wonky back to the previous 1024x768 resolution.

I'm the type of computer user who likes to get rid of stuff that's not needed. So are both graphics adapters really needed?

A:Why do I need Intel HD 3000 graphics with AMD Radeon HD?

The two graphics systems are needed to support the hybrid system used on many of today's laptops, the Intel is used for general low graphics intensive applications and the AMD is used for certain higher requirements such as games. The purpose of the dual system is to conserve power when possible and only use the power for the HQ graphics when it is actually needed

Recent days i have problem with intel graphic driver ,Screen is flickering after installing intel hd 3000,My Operating system is Windows10 64 bit. From Last month I am struggling with graphics problem in my system

A:Intel HD 3000 driiver issue

Hi SATHISHKUMARGSK,
What is the exact system model? Are there any bluescreens / system crashes? When is the flickering issue seen? Is this a persistent issue from the time you turn on the system or does it happen within windows? What applications are you using when the screen flickers?
Update the BIOS - http://dell.to/1n3X2po - enter the service tag and download the BIOS, update and restart the machine and check.
If the old driver was working fine, then go to device manager -> display adapters -> intel device properties -> driver tab -> choose rollback driver - restart and check.
Connect an external monitor and check if the display is fine.
Restart the system and press f2 key to enter BIOS and check if the flickering is seen while in BIOS.
Run the LCD bist - Turn off the system and press and hold the "D" key + power button to turn on the system and it should run the LCD built in self test - see this link for more info - http://dell.to/1SkXNrG
Restart the system and press f12 key on startup - choose diagnostics. Let it run the diags and if you encounter any errors - make a note of the complete error and report the same to us.
While in BIOS or while running the tests - swivel the screen back and forth and check if the flickering stops / if the flickering is seen.
Write me a private conversation with the service tag and your contact details(Name and Email) for case records.

I have been trying to play a game and at times my computer will go black and the game will come back and it will be just black or white. Sometimes it just stays black and after a few secs to a few mins i get a blue screen indicating that my graphics card tried to restart but failed to do so and then i have to restart my computer.... this did not happen when i had windows vista so im guessing that it could be a driver problem anyone know if there is a Windows 7 Driver for this graphics card and where i can download it?

If they don't work, google for Intel Driver 8.15.10.2697( with WDDM 1.0), download it and install, it may say it's for GM965 chipset but it was installed by Microsoft updates in my laptop which has GM945 family chipset.

Hello everyone and good day!

My problem is next:
I had Windows Vista on my HP dv6000 laptop for like couple of years, so two days ago I've installed Windows 7 Enterprise 32 bit. It could not install video drivers automatically, so I used to search them at intel webpage. I am pretty sure I did everything right, searching for x32 system etc, so after I installed my resolution still stucked @ 1024x768, basically there's no video driver installed.

I would like you guys to help me with this problem

here are the Hardware IDs:

So when I try to watch films, edit videos, and create dvds from home videos my computer shuts down down due to error code 43. Under device manager, my computer's graphics card is functioning properly, but there is an issue with the chipset. device manager under display adapters, Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family states: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"

Please. any information on whether or not I should buy and install a new chipset, or take my computer to a specialist would be appreciated.

Hey everyone, while using the Intel Driver Update Utility I get a message saying I am unable to update my driver because I have a customized computer manufacturer driver. The utility also lists my graphics driver as an Intel (R) Processor Graphics 3000 but when I go to my control panel it says my graphics driver is an Intel (R) HD Graphics Family. What does this mean exactly?

This is what my computer tells me I have:

So is it possible for me to uninstall my current graphics driver and then install the latest Intel version? I'm not really sure where to go from here. Thanks in advance guys, I hope you all have a great holiday!

A:Issue Updating Intel (R) HD Graphics Family

Hello TSSG and welcome to Seven Forums.

Intel has many different series of graphics: 2500, 3000, 4000, etc. Some utilities will simply use the generic designation of "Intel Graphics Family" whenever they detect an Intel driver rather than name a specific version.

When a company like Intel issues a driver, each computer manufacturer is free to customize that driver for their own line of computers. I suspect that Dell did exactly that for its line of Inspiron computers. Because the Intel driver has been customized by Dell, if you try to install the latest and greatest directly from Intel, it could seriously hose your computer. Quick short story:

About a year ago Intel and Windows Update said a new driver was available for my Intel HD 3000 Graphics. I installed it and immediately my Sony Vaio began crashing, hanging, and doing all kinds of weird stuff. Intel and Sony both told me the same thing: never use a non-customized driver if the computer manufacturer had done any modifications to the driver. It took Sony about 6 months to offer their own customized version of the driver. I installed it and haven't had any problems.

So my advice is to wait until Dell does its customizing and then, if you really, REALLY have to get the latest and greatest, get it from Dell. When it comes to drivers, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

I'm still fighting this problem after a couple weeks now.

The codec/driver for my graphics chipset (Intel 945 Express Chipset Family) will not update no matter what, it seems like.

When I try to upgrade by the Device Manager, it throws an error that doesn't help me whatsoever.

"Access is denied."

I've even tried to run it in Safe Mode, as the Administrator. I don't know what I can do.

Hi there, I upgraded my Aspire S7-392 to Windows 10 a few weeks ago, and while most things seem to be working fine, the driver for the Intel (R) HD Graphics Family display adapter has had the yellow exclamation mark of 'something's wrong' next to it ever since. I'm now unable to plug my laptop into the external monitor I use for work (as nothing happens when I do so), and graphics performance is visibly slowed down (to the point of unusability) when playing even fairly low-demand games. All of which would seem to indicate that there's a pretty major problem with the drivers. I spent literally 10 hours on the phone to Microsoft customer service trying to figure out the issue, but all they could tell me after a fairly intensive investigation was that they didn't know what the issue was, and to wait for driver updates from Acer or Intel. I have the latest driver from the Acer support website installed (although there doesn't seem to be one specifically for Windows 10), and I've rolled back and updated and tried several versions of the drivers from there, but all seem to have the same issue. I also downloaded the Windows 10 drivers from Intel that are supposedly specifically for my processor and graphics setup, but when I try to install them, it says that my computer doesn't meet the requirements (which is pretty confusing when I have the exact hardware the driver is designed for).I've searched these support forums for other Aspire S7 users having similar... 1. Download the "Intel Driver Update Utilty" 2. Go to device manage and uninstall/delete your Intel graphics driver3.  Run the Intel driver update utility.  Your current graphics driver is a custom Acer/Intel  OEM graphics driver.  Thats why it won't let you install it.  If the generic graphics driver that the update Utilty installs doesn't work quite right, then you'll have to go back to the driver that's on Acers website.  If don't want to use the Intel driver update Utilty, then you'll have to download the zip driver file instead of the .exe driver......and then use the "have disk method" to install it. It's probably easier to just use the Intel driver update Utilty.

Intel integrated cards on laptops are definitively not meant for gaming as they have lower clock rates and a small amount of video memory, you won't be able to run most games at a good resolution and most of them will lag a lot

My graphics card is the Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family.

I just got Call Of Duty 2 and found out that my graphics card does not support this and many other games. My friend just bought the x850 and is willing to sell me his old GE Force FX 5900 128mb AGP for $40.

I was wondering if it is possible for me to just take out my Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family and replace it with the GE Force FX 5900 128mb AGP.

He was saying something along the lines of if my graphics card was PCI, since the one hes selling me is APG, they arent compatible.

What is Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family APG,PCI?

anyone knows how the HD 2500 compares to the 3000 and 4000? I'm mostly looking for improved video transcoding compared to my Pentium G620 and don't really need the "gaming" graphics capabilities. But I haven't been able to find any information as to how the HD 2500 compares.

The fact that 2500 < 3000 is not really a good sign though...

A:Intel HD graphics 2500 vs 3000/4000?

the 3000 and 4000 are pretty superior of course the actual speed they function at will depend on which intel cpu it's paired with.
From what I've seen they actually are superior to even some of the higher dollar dedicated graphics cards in the way of transcoding. (if you are a gamer you would want to consider the dedicated, but if all you want is transcoding you are good)

However, you will only get the benefit if the software you are using supports the new quick sync features.
Intel? Quick Sync Video

In the instances where your software does support the features the 3k and 4k are twice as fast easily...

I recently ugraded to Win10 (although I had the same problem on Win7 as well). I cannot access my AMD Radeon HD 7400m and I am instead force to use the integrated Intel Graphics HD 3000. I have already tried reinstalling the drivers, disabling etc, nothing seems to work. I was told it's because they (AMD and Intel graphics devices) are designed by the manufacturer to work together, Intel 3000 doesn't support Win10, and should therefore revert back to Win7. However, I am running Win10 on Intel 3000 right now, so I don't know what to believe anymore. My questions are: 1. Is it true that the two graphics cards should work together and I'm getting blocked to one because the other is not compatible with my OS? (If so, how am I still running Win10 on Intel 3000?) 2. If this is indeed the case, and changing the OS is my only choice - how do I get Win7 back? Using the key from behind my battery seems to not work for downloading Win7, it says the key corresponds to a pre-installed version, contact the manufacturer for software recovery options. 3. If this is not the case, how to I get access to AMD instead of built-in Intel? (e.g. uninstalling Intel from device manager doesn't cause AMD to take over, but I am instead moved to a Basic Microsoft Display...) Thanks!

I recently purchased a 6460B for DJ'ing purposes. It has a Intel HD Graphics 3000 Sandy Bridge Graphics system. Apparently there are issues with this graphics system, a bug which Intel has never fixed. I quote from the software manufacturer I am looking at using; "WARNING! Some variants of the Intel HD Graphics Device have a known bug within the associated device drivers that may cause serious instability issues (crashes) while attempting to playback videos utilizing DirectShow video playback technology. If you intend to utilize CompuHost on a computer that incorporates such a device we strongly recommend that you first install the Evaluation version and give it a thorough test drive to ensure reliability prior to purchase!" Apparently this issue is somewhat widespread in the Intel HD Graphics line, regardless of dual monitor use or not as the DirectShow failure is apparent on even single screen use. The screen flickers constantly or just doesn't show any images. Is Intel planning on correcting this error? It can be seen in Compuhost, any version and Swift Elite V4. The laptop has 4gb RAM and a 500gb hard drive. I should also add that although failures are different, the failure of the HD 3000 is consistent when it comes to DirectShow. The Laptop is running the most recent BIOS F63a and I did the F61 to update the video firmware. The problem was present before F61, during F61 and after F61, and F63. Hi!

I've been trying to install Windows 8 since forever on my computer. Every time I install Windows 8 on my computer, it works fine until Windows update downloads the driver and installs it, or if I manually install my Bootcamp Support software drivers. Now since the release of Windows 8.1 I've been trying the same without any luck. Intel does not want to provide any support for Apple computers and Apple does not respond to my bug reports. I also downloaded the driver from the Intel site and as soon as it starts installing I get a black screen.

The only I solved this problem was by booting to safe-mode and uninstalling the driver. This is not a permanent fix because running on generic Windows drivers does not give the full potential of the graphics card. I also saw a lot of other people having the same problem, but a lot of them have dual graphics, my computer just has Intel's HD 3000.

Anyone that had this problem before, or knows how to fix it, please let me know.

My specs are as following:
Mac mini Server - Mid 2011
Intel Core i7 - 2635QM - Intel HD 3000
16GB Corsair Mac Memory - DDR3 1333MHz
1TB 7200RPM HDD + 120GB 320 Series Intel SSD
Windows 7 Currently running fine.

Hello guys, first time poster here

So i'm using a Gateway nv78, its a pretty cheap computer. It uses the above mentioned 4 series chipset integrated video card. Now the problem im having comes to the drivers and how it effects my game playing performance. i recently wiped my hard drive because i was planning on selling the pc, however i dont plan to sell it anymore. Now, my previous display driver had allowed me to turn my graphics settings down really low, thus allowing me to play (starcraft 2) at a playable FPS. now with my computer being essentially reformatted and using the drivers suggested by gateway, i can't adjust these settings to a low enough point to allow me to play these games. I've tried installing what i remember to be the driver i had before, but it is now telling me that said driver is not compatable with my machine, and that i should use the manufacturer's drivers.

now if anyone understood all of that, and can perhaps tell me how to get better drivers, or bypass the error of not letting me download these alternative drivers.

I'm clearly a tech noob, so any information you guys can shed would be MUCH appreciated

thanks alot
eric

Hi! ericw616, welcome to 7F

Do you still have the 7 OS on the system? we'd need to know the model, Starter, basic, Home Home Premium, pro, ultimate?

How serviceable is the notebook? Does it run pretty well?

Did you save back-ups?

If you haven't done too much with it you might be able to recover some files by using a file recovery app like PhotoRec - CGSecurity To get some information back. I wouldn't use those files, but it might give you enough info to jog your memory to where you could remember the right driver, and then you could go back and re-download it to re-install.

The driver page for your NV78:
Downloads & Support Documents - Notebook / NV Series / NV78

Intel's site, but there again you would need to know the make of OS to match up the proper drivers:

You could use this to identify your chipset :

If your system is an OEM build, such as Dell/Gateway/Compaq/ etc.

Go to your computer manufacturers website, where you should be able to find all the drivers you need.

If your computer is a custom built job, then you should go to your mobo manufacturers website for the drivers.

Hey all,

I've got a Lenovo Thinkpad R500 running Windows 8 Pro and at the moment its ]only running on the generic graphic display. It has a Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family graphics card and i can't seem to find a compatible driver so i can enable it.

If anyone can find something to help me get it up and running again will be great.

A:Mobile Intel 4 series express chipset family

I have Toshiba Satellite L300 with Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family graphics card. I download older drivers from intel site. Unpack it using Total Commander, right click on setup.exe, properties, compatibility tab and check "Run this program in compatibility with" and choose Windows 7. Also at the end of the same tab, under Privilege level check "Run this program as an administrator". Click OK and run setup. If you have problem I will upload my drivers (for Windows 8 Pro x64) but I need a few hours becouse of little upload speed.

That must be a fairly old motherboard. The ICH7 chipset is pretty old. This "hardware" is the I/O Control Hub and the LPC portion handles legacy devices such as floppies. The drivers for the chipset would have been provided by the motherboard manufacturer on a floppy or disc. You might try the SFC Scannow command to make sure the driver isn't corrupt. Or you can try and let Windows find a driver by clicking on "Update Driver" but I doubt one will be found.

SFC Scannow Command: SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Added:
I forgot to mention that Intel might have universal drivers for the chipset but these often don't implement special features of the motherboard. The best source for chipset drivers are from the motherboard manufacturer.

Hiya,

I am currently using an ASUS motherboard with the Intel 82495G Dual Core Family Chipset. I have been trying to install the PNY GeForce 210 PIC EX video card with no luck. I have gone into device manager and disabled the onboard video with no luck. I do not see a place in the bios to change the graphics option. The device manager does not show the card at all. Any ideas?

If you power off the computer, connect the monitor to the new video card, and power it on, do you get any video at all?

You need to post the exact model of the motherboard you have. We have a TSG System Information utility to get the model number of the motherboard for you, here's the link for it: http://forums.techguy.org/personal-news-announcements/948490-tsg-system-information-utility.html

Hi,

I just bought a new Dell Inspiron 660-4858. Service tag-number JPYXD5J. It originally came with W7, but I installed Vista Ultimate x64 on it. Now there are several drivers not working (when looking in device manager). I managed to solve most of them but there are still two I can not solve:

1. Network Controller. On Dell's website there are only drivers for W7 when looking up this device. According to the UKD ("UnknownDevices") software, the details for this device are:
Atheros Communications Inc
Dell Computer Corp
However, on Dell's website it appears to call the WLAN adapter (which I assume this 'network controller' is?) Dell DW1506 WLAN 802.11 b/g/n . Version of that driver is 9.2.0.484, A01, but it's only for Windows 7.
Any suggestions how I should find the latest driver for this device, for Vista??

2. Intel(R) HD Graphics Family (Dell's driver site calls it "Intel Graphics Controller" and "Intel UMA driver"). I actually did download drivers for this, supposedly for Vista. However, not thru Dell's site (they only have the driver for W7 and W8). But still there is an exclamation mark next to it in device manager, and every time I turn the computer on, this message is displayed on the icon tray:
Incompatible display adapter has been disabled.
At least one display adapter on the system has been disabled because its driver is not compatible with the driver for the VGA adapter.

Hi, I hope someone can help me.
I was using the Paint app on my vista when it started to become very slow and unresponsive.I was still able to use it but it was very very slow...then it started to totally freeze up my computer to where I couldn't even get task manager to come up
so I could end the program.. it got progressively worse and now I can't use the paint app at all.

I checked the laptop with a diagnostic tool that I found and it said there is a problem with the
Intel Graphics Driver Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset family 7.15.10.1591.
This was not really an error message that popped up, it just was a "statement" that said it
was not working properly and gave me suggestions on what to do such as checking for driver
updates, cleaning registry.
I checked and there are no updates for this driver, it is up to date. I scanned the registry and swept it and I'm still having the problem.
Still can't use the paint app at all.
Can I fix this driver? Should I do a restore to an earlier date? This only started happening a day or so ago.

Also when I checked the status in device manager it says that the device is working properly!
That really confused me..because one part of the computer says there's a problem and the other
says it's working fine. I am praying that you're not going to tell me to uninstall and re-
install the driver ...I'm afraid that may be too advanced for me.

Hello,

I've been to Intel's website, and downloaded both the .exe and the .zip files of the subject driver, and neither one of the installation packages work. It gets toward the end and comes back with "Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver installer has encountered a problem and needs to close." I've also reported this to Intel's tech support via email (as this is the only method of contact that they seem to accept). I was asked a bunch of questions by way of a form, that had nothing to do with their installation package crapping out. So to make a long story short, I have to wait until Intel gets back with me, but really need the driver in a more expedient amount of time. Would any of you kind folks happen to have it available to send to me? Hopefully?

Thank you,

I bought an Asus K53S laptop about 4 months ago and recently I went to msconfig and disabled some startup programes. Three of them were Intel(R) Common User Interface:

"C:\Windows\system32\igfxpers.exe"
" \igfxtray.exe"
" \hkcmd.exe"

What I basically did was unchecking those 3 Intel items as I already have Nvidia running in startup. I then enabled it back again and now it won't run in startup eventhough it is marked in msconfig. I cannot view the Intel icon in the taskbar as I used to see it before. I can only see the green Nvidia icon.

The first time I reboot the pc, I could only see a transparent Intel icon. I right clicked it and hit "Exit". Then in the second time I reboot, the icon didn't show eventhought it was enabled in msconfig.

Also, before I disabled them and enabled them back again, Windows Update installed an Intel update.

I would be extremely appreciated if anyone could help me with this problem.

Since a few days my display driver keeps crashing.

This is wat happens:
- Screen starts to flicker
- Whole screen becomes black, purple or green
- A notification appears that says my display driver crashed and has been recovered
- Sometimes my screen stays black and I cannot get it to display my screen again (plugging in and unplugging a monitor via HDMI works sometimes to get my screen back)
- I have been getting a few BSOD's (SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M, VIDEO_TDR_ERROR)

Some extra info that might be helpful:
- Sometimes the system works well for several hours, other times it is completely unusable.
- I have had issues with my system turning off randomly two weeks ago, this was most likely caused by the mainboard getting to hot (90+ celsius). I fixed this by cleaning the air outlets. Temperatures are now below 60 celsius).

I'm aware of the other thread regarding AMD drivers, however, my hardware is just not cooperating.

I haven't found anyone else with this issue, so I'll try to give as much data as possible:

Thanks to XDleader555 @ Intel HD Graphics 2000/3000, I was able to get the basic Intel GPU functioning.

Here is the HWInfo64 showing some of my specs:
And here is the problematic Device Manager:
I try to update the driver manually and choose the folder from the latest AMD drivers

However it just says the drivers are already up to date
And I get this vague error, and there are thousands of impertinent articles about it, which is why I'm posting on this forum.
I tried to run the AMD Installer provided by Acer, which resulted in this (ran as W7 compatible, so this is perfectly fine):
However the installation failed with this error:
And trying to run AMD Installer for Windows 8 bears no fruit:
Hopefully someone will be able to assist me.

Thanks for your time.

After a sudden overnight update to Windows 10 the machine started to freeze and crash - mostly while the mouse cursor moves or dialog opens or other display changes happen quickly. I figure I should update the graphics card, which is listed as Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 My Envy 4 machine runs a 64-bit system on core i3 2376 CPU @1.4Ghz For that machine, the Intel website will not give an option for a Windows 10 update. The driver version is wayyyyy behind: version 9.17.10.4229 Current version update is for Windows 8 for that graphic card. It is here:https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/81500/Intel-HD-Graphics-3000-for-2nd-Generation-Intel-Core-...The version there is listed as 15.28.24.64.4229 which is signed to a year ago, with a slightly lower version number released 2/2016 (16 months ago). It is only given as an .exe package which will not install because of spec incompatibility. Can I get the Win8 driver for the Win10 machine? If this makes sense where can I get the file itself and how to do this? TIA Yuval

This morning, i upgraded my Intel HD Graphics 3000 because some programs force me to update it. But, I don't know why, after restaring my laptop, I see that the graphics has changed from Radeon to HD Graphics. You know, HD Graphics is only have 64 MBs of its RAM. Different far away from my Radeon that has 1024 MBs of RAM.

And when I try to playing some games, it says, "Your Graphics card doesn't meet the system requirement". It is very sucks. And then, checking the Device Manager it doesn't show my Radeon graphics anymore.

I want to change my graphics back to Radeon, but can't. I've tried every step from the internet and still not work. There is no message something like this in my desktop: "Switchable Graphics Driver". And every start, the Catalyst Control Center says: "Catalyst Control Center is not supported by the driver version of your enabled graphics card. Alright so I've got a serious problem here, my manufacturer which is ASUS in my case will NOT be supporting this graphcis card or the computer itself so I'm left out in the dark.
I have tried with everything and I came to the conclusion that modded drivers works the best which still is pretty bad(switchable Graphics profiles are not saved - Adding Photoshop for example today results that in a week it will be wiped out and the performance will be zero)

The generic AMD drivers does not work, the HP drivers works 50-50, I can Control Everything with switchable Graphics
except for the manual program adding and the modded leshcat drivers are not of my liking.

Considering the fact that AMD supports ENDURO on the whole Radeon HD 7000M series I would expect it to work on the generic drivers.

So if anyone got anything that could help my situation I would gladly hear you out.

I'm thinking that using the modded drivers will be my last desperate move.

P.S. I'm also not using the newest Intel Drivers as they are reported to cause problems

I've installed Windows 8.1 on a Medion Akoya P6634 sporting a Intel HD3000 and a GeForce GT630M.

I had to disable Windows Update because the notebook's screen becomes black after it performed some updates.
Hooking it up to another screen via HDMI works but I can't activate the notebook's screen anymore.

So I tried installing the latest Intel 3000 HD driver manually (like described here https://communities.intel.com/message/248260). It says that the latest display driver is already installed.
When I install the Intel 3000 HD driver via the executable the screen becomes black after hearing the "device disconnected" sound.

When it happened the last time all I could do was switching to safe-mode and disabling the Intel HD 3000 altogether.

Installing the latest GeForce-driver has no effect whatsoever. All the time the notebook's display is running at a 1024x768 resolution (native resolution is 1366x768).

Do you have any ideas what else I can do besides going back to Windows 7?

Hello, I am having a screen flickering issue for some time now and I have narrowed down the issue to my graphics cards and settings.

I have an Asus x73s Laptop with both Intel HD* Graphics 3000 and an Nvidia 610m GPU.

The screen flickering I experience is when I am on my windows 7 desktop. It doesnt matter if I have any programs open or none at all my screen usually flickers. Sometimes it can go hours without doing this. I have no external display available to connect it to through HDMI to check if it happens on an external display.

I have sent my laptop in for repair under warrenty for this before and they said it was not an issue with my screen after a comprehensive hardware test and is a graphics or driver issue. But because the repair depot also sucks balls their solution was to backup my files, wipe and restore my laptop... That fixed it for a few months but the flickering is back.

I have gone through my Nvidia Control Panel and made sure my Nvidia 610m is set to be the priority GPU my laptop uses and have turned off the power saveing settings on the Intel Graphics control panel as i almost always have my laptop plugged in anyways.

The strangest thing I have only just noticed today is there is no screen flicker when playing games or when a game is alt+tabbed in the background.

First of all here is an Cnet Archive link for your computer that has detailed specifications on the right hand side of the page, you will have to scroll down slightly to see them and according to that info you have a Intel 915GV Express Chipset. But to be absolutely sure you can follow this tutorial from Windows Seven Forum to accurately detect hardware and use the info to update your system specs here at Eight Forums.

System Info - See Your System Specs

Are you trying to run these drivers with Win 8 (Windows Developer Preview) if so the installer has to be run in compatibility mode

Change settings for all users first

Then Choose Windows 7 as OS and run as an administrator.

The short version: there are no WDDM drivers for the 915GM graphics chipset. It may be possible to get things working with XP drivers, without Aero Glass effects. (Not a great loss.)

Hi, I came here because there were no information about solving a problem with this Chipset (Mobile Intel? 4 Series Express Chipset Family), but I find a video that explains that we have to get an older version for this chipset, not the one that has the WDDM 1.1.

So, the first you have to do is download this. It's a Graphic Accelerator from Intel, so don't worry about third party programs. Then you just have to install it and restart your computer and you will have this if you have this options available then everything it's okay, because this means that you have the proper version of the driver. I know it's a little bit complicated to explain, but this is the best solution I have found. The last version won't let you play games like counter-strike nor run applications such as emulators for android. With this, you can play Counter-Strike, Minecraft and enjoy other features that you can't with the latest version.

I hope this can help someone in someway, because it was a little hard to find this solution.

EDIT:

I forgot to mention that you have to disable Microsoft Update, because this feature will update your graphic card to the latest version (the one that has the WDDM 1.1 thing).

Hi there. I had the can't find requested string error on my graphics card so i followed intels advice but when deleting the programs i accidently removed both of my graphic card drivers not just the one they asked me to on add/remove programs. When i try reinstalling my graphics driver it comes up with some thing saying Files Needed and in that box says The file ialmarnt5.sys On Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator Drive is needed. Then it has a browse box but the thing is i have no idea which file i am ment to select and the one it automatically chooses for me does not work. I have a sneaky suspicion it is the program that i removed accidently. Please help and i do not know that much about Pc's of keep it simple

Thanks

When this box shows up, direct it to the system partition (C: most of the time), then your windows folder, then the system32 folder & click OK.
