Q: Solved: Wireless Configuration Error Message

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium -- Service Pack 1, 64-bit
Browser: IE 9
Computer: Dell Studio 1745

I am receiving an error message window titled "Wireless Configuration" with the following message:

"OLE initialization failed. Make sure that the OLE libraries are the correct version."

I cannot find anything about updating OLE libraries in Windows 7. I have not installed any new software, and my computer is barely 2 years old. I do not find it a coinicidence that my free Dell tech support expired last month, and now I'm having issues with the Dell wireless card.

Thanks for any help you could provide.

You really shouldn't duplicate post, if not for the integrity of the forum, then so that everyone knows what you are being told and you will not be pulled down two or more pathways to a fix, yano. but no foul, no harm, just acting on your behalf (and SF's)

Hi, I have a friend who is trying to hook up a wireless router. I don't know much about routers at all so I am posting this here in hope that someone can help him out. Below is his message/description of what is happening. Any help is greatly appreciated. thanks...dano2

Here's what I'm trying to do:
I have a Linksys wireless router (model #WRT120N) and I want to attach it to a Dell desktop computer and eventually a HP wireless printer. I have broadband/cable Internet access from Comcast Cable.
When I run the Setup CD-ROM and it checks for a connection I get an error message stating "No wire adapter detected". Due to that I can't proceed further. This is the first time I've setup a router, so I'm a little lost.

A:Solved: Getting a Linksys Wireless Router error message..

I will move to networking forum

Whats the exact Model of the Modem supplied by Comcast - it may be they have supplied a router and you are trying to connect a router to a router
Assuming its just a modem
you should not need the setup CD
connect a PC to the WRT120N
connect the modem to the internet socket
switch modem on - allow to settle - check all the lights and post back here
switch Router on - allow to settle - check all the lights and post back here
Switch on the PC
Now you should have a connection to internet on the PC
IF so we can then move to setting up the wireless section

I get an error message when I open Itunes. It says "Itunes has detected a problem with audio/video configuration..." and that the audio video may not play correctly.

I have uploaded some cd's to Itunes and I have noticed the sound has skips in it.

Also, my daughter wanted to open some pictures from a disc but the disc wouldn't work. I took the disc to work and opened the pictures fine.

I have a Dell Dimension 8200 running XP. I do not have any other problems with the machine.

Are there diagnostic programs that I might try to correct this problem, or do I need to replace the cd drive?

This a.m. I was greeted by this System Configuration Utility message popup:

You have used the System Configuration Utility to make changes to the way Windows starts.

The System Configuration Utility is currently in Diagnostic or Selective Startup mode, causing this message to be displayed and the Utility to run every time Windows starts.

Choose the Normal Startup mode on the General tab to start Windows normally and undo the changes you made using the system Configuration Utility.

Yesterday I used the system configuration utility to untick a program in the Startup menu. Is that why I am getting this message now?

If I follow the directions and select the Normal Startup option, will all the services that I have painstakingly turned off over time start running on startup again? Or will it just load the one application it changed?

Could I restore the registry from a few days ago instead? And, if I do that, will the tracking cookies I finally got rid of by setting them to be deleted at start-up reappear?

Another question I have is, what is the utility used for, if not to make changes? Is it just to look at? What good is it then?

Hi there,

My laptop runs on a wireless network at home, but lately, the Wireless Zero Configuration Utility has been acting up. When my laptop becomes connected to the home network, the service itself will go from "Started", to "Stopping". So basically, using the Wireless Zero means that I can only stay online for a couple of seconds before the service resets itself to "Stopping", and back to "started". I'm not really sure what's happening, nor have I received any error codes or messages. All i know is, my Wireless Zero Configuration Utility is switching on and off. The only way I could get online, was to wait for the service to connect me to my network, and disable the service once i was connected, so that it wouldn't reset itself every 10 seconds. Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Services - scroll to Wireless Zero Configuration and check the Startup Type. It should be 'Automatic' for what you want.

If your wireless adapter's utility is launched at startup (and disables WZC) then stop it (remove it's shortcut icon from the Startup folder or use msconfig).

Ok, so I've been beating my head over this one. And not only have I been beating my head but I've wasted several hours on it too.

The company that I work for purchased a few wireless units from Newegg. The model they chose was the TrendNET TEW-639GR model (you can find the user guide here.)

So here is what we are trying to do and what is keeping us from doing it.

These units work great if you just want to plug it in and connect to the internet. We plug a network cable from our master switch into the WAN port and then wireless works fine, or plugging into the LAN ports on the back works fine. However it assigns the default range to anything that connects to them. Our company uses the to range. So while the internet works, other network functions do not; like opening a connection to our AS/400 or RDC.

I cannot for the life of me get this to work the way we want. If I tell the wireless unit to use the DHCP range of to it reboots and we cannot get back into the device to manage it and it will not allow anything connected to it to access the network or the internet at all. This, even though it assigns the IP to said devices just fine. It just will not work the way it should.

Perhaps I am missing something? If you guys can help me out I would appreciate it so much.

Please let me know if you need further information.

Thank you for looking at this message.

I have just bought a D-Link DP-G310 wireless print server and am having problems getting it to work the way I want. I want to be able to print wirelessly from my laptop i.e with neither the laptop or the print server connected by cables to my router.

I did not find the instructions that helpful but have managed to configure the print server so that it connects to my wireless network. The problem is that I can only print if the laptop is connected to my router by cable. If I disconnect the cable, the laptop will connect to the router (and the internet) but will not print. I can also only access the print servers config menu via the cable. If I am connected to the router via the cable, I do not have internet access following the tcp/ip configuration changes I made to be able to get to the print server

Do I need to do anything to the wireless tcp/ip configuration to get it to see the printer (not too sure what I am doing in this area!) Will any such changes interfere with internet access?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello First time poster here.

I've got a Asus EEE PC 1005PE netbook with Windows 7 Starter Edition. In attempt to clear some memory space (foolishly I couldn't wait two days until a 2G memory stick arrives in mail..) I'd messed up with msconfig and services.msc.

I've followed a guide online to change some service's mode to disable/manual.. and when I restarted the computer the wireless stopped working! Windows troubleshooting gives me no solution. I connected to online using LAN cable and tried to set all the services back to default modes but obviously missed something because network still can't be detected. Seeing as it doesn't show other people's networks either which I usually see along with my own, I don't think it's the router's fault. Everything working perfectly until I changed the service modes and restarted the computer anyways.

Since I have no idea which information you might need to give solution I'm including some screenshots of my Windows' current services states, wireless modem properties, and Window Features(just in case).

Thanks in advance!

Two days ago one of my laptops stopped accessing the internet even though it connects to the wireless router (BT Homehub3). Other laptops, Iphones, Xboxes etc still work fine on the same network.

Running Diagnose Connection Problems produces the following error message Wireless network connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration

Running the BT Homehub set up utility it connects to the hub but it fails to set up wireless connection saying that the wireless key is incorrect or there is another problem. It then suggests a wired connection which fails to connect (tried different ethernet cables and ports)

After googling for solutions I have tried the following suggestions without success

ipconfig /all

and the successfully pinging the resulting IP address, default gateway & DNS server

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /renew

After the renew prompt the following message appeared: unable to contact your DHCP server. Request has timed out.

In services.msc I disabled and restarted DHCP Client

I have also tried

netsh int ip reset reset.log

netsh winsock reset catalog

as suggested elsewhere on this forum, again without success.

I thought I had cracked it when I found a Microsoft Fix-it-for-me tool (MSfixit50199) but it made no difference.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Hi guys, I've got a bit of a problem here. See, sometimes the router has too many devices connected to it and the other people living with me don't understand this so they keep their iPhones, iPads, laptops, et cetera connected via WiFi even though I tell them to turn off the WiFi setting when they're not using it. So it kicks me off constantly, not sure why, but I don't mind too much.
Basically when I'm "connected" but not really connected I remotely reset the router so I don't have to walk upstairs all the time.

Anyway, I've reset it without troubles before. But did it tonight and now it's completely screwed up. I run a windows diagnostics test and it comes up with:
"Wireless network connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration."

Now I've been searching the internet from my iPhone to find solutions all night and came across this thread:

I have a new TL-WR740N router by TP-Link. I set up the network with a visible SSID and WPA2 password and I access the internet with no problem from my Windows 7 laptop.

My mom's laptop with Windows Vista is giving an error that I had never seen before (she has used several wireless networks before without any problems). The computer connects to the network and tells me to "Press the configuration button" on the router. The router doesn't have a configuration button. If I click "Next" it will say it "Could not get settings from TP-LINK TL-WR740N - Verify the device PIN (...)" When it first tells me to press the configuration button, I don't have to click next - there is an option that says "I can't find the configuration button, I want to enter a key or passphrase instead." So I click there and put the password. It connects to the network, but only locally. No internet.

I have tried turning the router off and back on (that used to solve a similar problem some time ago). If we plug the router to her laptop using that LAN cable, then she can use internet. I tried to set up the network a second time (the SSID, the password and stuff) using her computer instead of mine, but that didn't do anything.

Thank you very much in advance '=)

I have a laptop that on my wireless school network would connect fine and automatically. The network is a guest network so it is unsecured. I recently had to reinstall the operating system on my laptop to fix several access rights errors and others (reinstalled Vista). After the reinstall I am having a lot of trouble accessing the internet on the school network. The network and sharing chart will occasionally show that I'm connected to the public network and it will also go all the way through to internet access but my pages wont load and I don't have connection (I use google chrome as my browser but thats not the issue).

I've tried:

-Restarting my computer
-Restarting my laptops wireless adapter
-Checked wireless connections at my house and at other network in my computer engineering class, all of which give me full access to the internet.
-Check DNS information I get a DNS error from doing a diagnosis(this I may not have done right so more information would be great). The diagnosis says I can't connect to common dns server
-When it says I have internet and I go to a page I get a error about not being able to resolve the server

-My own IP is pingable which is normal.

I received the same message and contacted D-Link. Their solution of using the Vista Beta drivers hasn't worked. But you can find them on the website under downloads if you want to try. My solution was to uninstall the D-Link Airplus Utility Program (which will uninstall the drivers also), restart the computer and then only install the drivers from the disk, not the Utility program. You shouldn't get the error messages anymore, but you won't have the Utility Program that never worked for me anyways.

1 check your services and see if anything that should be running has been disabled. (firewall )
do a search for a file on your computer named flec006

If the firewall and other services have been disabled, re enable them and reboot. If the services have been disabled again go to and download this program. It is free.

save the file, boot to safe mode, and run the program. after running the program, reboot, if the file flec006 is there, delete it. go back to services and make sure everything that should be enabled is enabled.

CNG key isolation
DCOM service process launcher
Remote procedure call (RPC)
Windows Update

Go to device manager and view
show hidden devices
Devices by connection

look for native WIFI filter and make sure it is automatic and started under properties, driver
also look at NDIS System driver and NDIS Usermode I/O Protocol. set them to automatic and start them if they are not started.

This will not hellp if you simply have a bad .dll file. If that is the case, reinstall the software for your wireless card and look for the latest driver.
Replace the aviWusb54GC.dll file with aviWusb54Gv4.dll

Hello all,

I was wondering if there was any way to solve the Dell Plug & Play Configuration Error on startup. I've read that it has to do with the IRQ, the CMOS battery or maybe even a bad motherboard.

I've got a monitor/color problem. It's tinted green and it's dull. Could this be a symptom?

I'm pretty tech savvy but I don't know much about editing the BIOS.

Does anyone know if this can be fixed? I'm going to reformat the HD anyways. Do you think that will help?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

I have a stock standard HP Probook 4530s that I've had since new, and all of a sudden in the last month it comes up with this error on bootup "This wireless module is not supported so has been disabled 702". I haven't changed a thing since I've owned this laptop so I'm using the wireless card HP put in. I can occcasionally get around it (restarting numerous times) but it's very frustrating, especially when I want to do something quickly and I have to plan the restart, disconnect the battery etc game. Is there a solution? I have been searching for a solution. From what I understand there's an error with the BIOS and the wireless card is not on the whitelist. Which is ridiculous given that this is what came with the laptop!!! Any ideas or suggestions?

I had to perform a system restore on my netbook recently and since then I have been recieving error messages from HP Wireless Assistant. Dell laptop (purchased in 2007) with Windows XP and Office Pro 2003, Avast has been run, and a Spyware destroyer has been run.

This laptop got quite messed up with a virus(s) several months ago. I had someone work on it and they restored it and installed free Avast and a Spyware destroyer. Seems to run well, except when I try to access wireless. Works well wired and also works ok wireless, but I cannot CHANGE or SELECT a different wireless network or wireless source. It connects automatically to one in our neighborhood. When we first traveled with it after having it worked on is when we discovered we could not connect or select wireless and get this error message.

It gives the following error box:

Windows 7 x64 system installed last week. All has gone well until a while ago...Adobe Acrobat downloaded an update and installed it, then asked to restart the machine.

At restart Windows quit and offered to restart normally or to repair itself. I let it try to repair itself, but it repeatedly failed, with the error:

*Boot configuration is corrupt.
Result: Failed. Error code=0x490*

In addition, I noticed that windows apparently is not finding the boot drive...looking at the repair log I saw:

System Disk=\Device\Harddisk\Windows directory-\\?\GLOBAL ROOT\Device\Harddisk1\Partition2\Windows

Windows appears to be looking at the wrong's installed on a new drive with only one partition. Using the Command Prompt option in the repair window, I could not access the *real* drive "C" (Drive 0), only Drive 1, which has two partitions for D and E.

Hiren's Boot CD running NTFS4DOS does not see drive 0 at all and also shows Drive 1, Partition 1 as drive C. Hiren's mini-WinXP shows a drive C designated as "System Reserved" - and shows Drive 1 as drives D and E on its partitions 1 and 2 respectively.

Mini-WinXP shows the otherwise elusive disk 0 as disk F.

I could sure use some ideas for a fix...I didn't have many to begin with and by now I'm down to none! Thanks in advance, if anyone can help.

I accidentally uninstalled the Security Accounts Manager Service through a batch file containing the sc delete samss command. Ever since then I had these problems with WZC.

1) The wireless list (View wireless network) is not showing no matter how i refresh it with wireless zero configuration. The service is indeed started already on my xp.
2) All the old preferred network lists are gone too and even if i add new one it won't show.
3) Somehow it still auto connects to the wireless point which i have been using (with and without WPA) even when the preferred network list is not showing up.

I am able to connect to the internet with the Belkin wireless network utility. I assume windows cannot use the preferred network list (user names and passwords) because SamSs is missing. If anyone knows how to reinstall this service or solve this problem, I would appreciate the advice.

I have XP Pro on an IBM T42 laptop. Had significant trouble with trojans/malware recently, but believe I have cleaned and recovered.

Currently my wireless network at home is functioning OK. But when I go to "View Wireless Networks" it says that there are "No wireless networks in range." Also when I go to Advanced Settings, there is no data listed under "Preferred Networks."

I have two concerns. First I am wondering if there is still some residual effect from the malware that I should be concerned about. Second, when I travel I cannot search for available wireless networks because the utility always reports that none are available, even though some networks certainly are.

Thanks very much for any advice and help.

Afterward, upon clicking to open 'Home Page,' .... another message popping-up in the middle of the screen,

'Check online for a solution and close the Program'

Clicked 'OK' and a box of message disappeared and connection is very fast as if nothing is amiss.

My question is;
I think that 'Smart Wizard' or something that came with Netgear Adaptor doing this. It seems 'security reason' or its related, .... but I'm not sure.

For the first one try not using the Netgear wireless utility. Often in Windows 7 wireless will work fine w/o the adapter's special utility. If this adapter needs the Netgear utility, in case something went wrong during the install I suggest you uninstall it and then reinstall.

I have a simple wireless router at my house that works fine with my laptop and my wife's. I've been working on my inlaws laptop this past week getting it rid of some virus and spyware issues (with much help from these forums).

My network issue is this: each time I reboot the machine, I have to restart Wireless Zero Configuration. Otherwise, it won't find my wireless connection (I get that error when I try to choose a wireless network that says windows can't set up a wireless network).

This laptop used to be hooked to a Linksys Easy Advisor router deal at their house. I uninstalled that, but I'm thinking maybe there is an issue leftover from that?

I hope this gives enough info to get started looking at some solutions so that this will recognize wireless signals without having to reset the WZC each time.

In services make sure the Wireless Zero Configuration start up type is set to Automatic not Manual. It sounds like your wireless came with software that configures the wireless networks. You can either disable that software from managing wireless and let Windows manage the Wireless or uninstall it.

I'm pretty new at posting so I'm not sure of the best way to do this. When I start to log on to the net, whether using IE or Firefox an error message having to do with "Google" occurs immediately. (I usually use my Google bar to go directly to the site I want.) I've taken a print screen so that you can see that message directly but don't know how I should get it to you. (I'm used to emailing such things --) As I proceed I get another message which I have also copied. This one starts with the words "Assertion Failed." If I continue I usually get a "script error" message, a copy of which I do not have at this time. If I tell the message that I will proceed with going to my chosen web site, the last several times the site has come up in multiplicity, most recently it appeared 16 times, one right after another, totally out of my control, (causing I believe Foxfire to crash), and then just a bit ago, using IE, the site I logged on to came up 7 times. I really have no idea what to do about this so I'm hoping that you can help me once again.

Hello ,

Im using access and I have a combo box and an unbound field that picked up the column 1 from a table. Im using On change event. .It seemed that everything is ok when i put the first field , the second ( unbound) field automatically populate the second column from the table. The problem is when i used a data which is not on the table a box came out and say (Runtime error '3314'. You must enter a value in the 'missing field)' field.

I would be very happy for the message but this is not a normal MSGBOX. Ithink if i say it correctly , this msg came from the vba codes and block everything because below the box it has this END and DEBUG. i think my users will freak out if they press DEBUG.

Why this message came out the way it is, the code that I have is as follows:
Private Sub Arrv_IATA_Code_Change()
Me.Arrival_Point.Value = Me.Arrv_IATA_Code.Column(1)

End Sub
There must be some code that i can add to display the alert message without coming from VBA.

I have a Linksys Wireless G router. One desktop connected via ethernet and 2 wireless laptops. The desktop is configured to print to my local printer. My laptops can access the router fine and access the internet. Can I also have my wireless laptops print to this printer? I' m sure I would need to load the drivers for the printer but what steps should I take? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I take it you are using Windows XP, in which case it is fairly simple
Firstly, on the computer directly connected to the printer, go to the control panel, into Printers and Faxes, and then right click on the printer. Click on sharing, and then slect "Share this printer".
hit ok, and then go onto your laptops.
On the laptops, go into the Priters and Faxes again, and click on "Add a Printer".
hit next, and then click on "add a network printer, or a printer attached to another computer"
Click on browse for a printer (should already be highlighted) and click next.
It will search for all the printers on the network, and then simply select the one you wish to add.
A security warning box might pop up at this stage, simply hot yes to install the drivers.
and you're set! Just set that printer to your default printer.

I use the DWA-552 Linksys wireless card on my PC. I would like to create either a bridge (which seems complicated) to my RNX-N100 USB Wireless dongle. The reason being, I am going to use the RNX to get access to the internet for my Blu-Ray player (BD-C5500T). I have looked everywhere and cannot find any info on the setup. The other way is to connect the PC to my T.V. as my integrated card has an HDMI port and bridge the wireless connection with the integrated wired connection (if that is possible) so i can gain internet access to my Blu-Ray player. I have tried to configure with my player and no-go. It works fine when i configure the RNX on my PC though.

I have just upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7 recently but currently I'm face with a problem.

After connecting with the wireless net at home, I have no internet access. It says "Wireless network connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration".

I read on websites that I should change the TCP/IPv6 and TCP/IPv4 to automatically acquiring IP address and DNS server address, but to no avail. I tried using the CMD but don't really understand how the IPCONFIG/ALL and IPCONFIG/FLUSHDNS work. I also tried changing the last 3 digits of the IP address to a higher number but also to no avail.

Done all that I could do, but I still can't access to internet though I could connect to the wireless.

Can anyone help? Your effort is much appreciated. =)

couple of things to try
Are you using a firewall or antivirus? disable them to test
use the ipconfigs like this first ipconfig /flushdns then ipconfig/renew
in cmd type ping and the routers ip

Everytime I shut down my Dell Inspiron laptop, Windows' Wireless Zero Configuration service shuts down. So, everytime I start the computer, I have to restart the service, go into Wireless Network Connection Properties and reclick "Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings" to be able to access the internet. Is there a way to make sure WZC stays on permanently? When I hit START on the activity, I'm not given the option to hit APPLY.

A:Wireless Zero Configuration

You should be able to go into WZC and select to connect to your network, then UNCHECK "Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings". That will prevent Windows from trying to connect to any other network but your own.

Edit - sorry I didn't see the other part of the problem. Go to start, run and type services.msc. Scroll down to Wireless Zero Configuration and make sure startup type is set to Automatic.

Hello scatty

My first thought is are you also running a utility that came with your wireless network card?

Some systems like Dell have their own utilities for managing wireless.

I seem to have the problem where my desktop wireless connection disconnects shortly after booting up. I have a belkin 54g wireless network card and belkin ADSL modem with built-in router, also a centrino laptop on my small home network system. The laptop connection works fine but to reconnect my desktop I have to stop the wireless zero configuration and then repair the wireless connection. Is there any way I can stop losing the connection ? I'm new to home networking and muddled through setting it up. It now all works fine except for the above problem which is more of a nuisance than anything else. Please help.

My new dell inspiron 1520 laptop is having a few problems. The computer cannot connect to wireless networks. It picks up and shows that it is able to pick them up...but it cannot connect to any of them. And these connections are unsecured - so there should be no problem. I have another Dell laptop and a desktop that get on these networks and other networks with out a problem. Please keep in mind the connections are unsecured and contain no mac filtering. I have called Dell 3 times. Each time we have had to continue the call later... It has become very frustrating having to call and never having any results. This is how it happens: Turn the computer on It automatically connects to an unsecured connection It shows in the task bar that it is picking up the signal and "connected" But then it says that it has none or limited connectivity. I just want to be able to get online! Please help if you can! Thanks, Mallory

Hello, I want to create a batch file to do the following.

1. Start the "wireless zero configuration" by typing the following in a command prompt:
net start "wireless zero configuration"

2. Disable and enable my wireless nic card.

Can this be done? I have to do this almost everytime I turn on my computer, so I thought creating a batch file to do this will make things easier. I appreciate all the help anyone is willing to offer.

I posted this in the wrong forum. Should have been XP forum Sorry!

Prior to hard drive crash I was successfully using Speedtouch 121g wireless card for months. It connected smoothly on startup.
Since reinstalling everything onto new hard drive I need to go through these steps every time I reboot in order to achieve wireless connection:
>Control Panel
> Administrative Tools
> Services
> Wireless Zero configuration
> Start
> Control Panel
> Network Connections
> Wireless Network > right click > properties
> Wireless Neworks (middle tab)
> Tick box ?allow windows to connect.....? OK
> Right click on wireless connection and choose repair.

I have WZC set to automatic but still I need to restart it manually when I reboot. Can anybody help please? Also I am using XP SP3 (prior to hard drive crash I was on SP2 - could that have anything to do with it?). My anti-virus is AVG.

I cannot go to Wireless Zero Configuration. It is not on my computer. I have XP Home. It was on my computer and could click on it. Now it is gone. When I click on "View other wireless connections" there are not any of them.

I read your answer on your blog and it did not work for me.

My error message says to I have another wireless network. I don't know what it is.

I just reformatted this laptop by re installing XP. I know for a fact it has all the necessary hardware to connect to the internet. However, I can't seem to connect to anything. When I open Network Connections, there is no wireless option, there is only a 1394 Microsoft Connection. Plugging into an ethernet connection has no effect. I'm not entirely sure what I need to do to fix this.

A:XP Wireless Configuration

You need to install the necessary hardware drivers. The laptop manufacturer's website should have these available.

You have to give us a lot more information. From what I can understand you are trying to configure your Wireless, but there is a missing .dll file.

First posting:

Hello to all:

I am using WinXP Pro SP2. I installed a Linksys USB Wireless Adapter
(WUSB54GS) using the latest drivers (12-20-04)and used Wireless
Zero Configuration to set up the network. I have the network listed in
my "Preferred network" list and all is working fine.

The problem is that if I select"View Wireless Networks" in the "Available networks:" none
are listed. Even if I do a refresh under the "Refresh networks list" it
seraches and them says "No wireless networks found inrange".

I have an "Excellent" signal strength at 54mbps.

I had a Linksysy PCI card in initially (WMP54G) which worked as well as
the new adapter and always showed the available networks before.
