is it possible to print both sides of a page without manually putting the page thru twice? Or is a duplexer required to be added to the printer.More replies
Hi I have a book of small book size 100 pages and I want to print this book on both sides of paper with two pages per side.
I am using windows XP and adobe acrobat reader XI version higher than 11.0 and a old printer.
I have tried to do this and print two pages on one side by selecting multiple option in layout but there is no zoom I mean very small letters were printed and the remaining space has been wasted.
Then in order to print even pages on one side and odd pages on other side I have tried to print even pages first but failed I mean all the pages have been printed including odd pages also.
For this I have followed instructions given in the page below
Kindly suggest how the above two can be achieved at the same time.
I suspect this might be a fairly common problem. Whenever I print there also seems to be a block of about 5 fine lines printed over the text for about ever new line of text. Now I recently bought a new (high capacity) cartridge which costs a fortune, so I'm not too keen to buy another if it is the printer (about 6 years old) which is the problem.
Has anyone else had the same sort of problem?
Try cleaning the print heads, this is the normal solution to this problem.
I use two printers at two locations w/different computers and have the same problem on both. Many (most?) web pages have info on left side of screen that I do not want to print (such as at this web site). When I print the page I get the left side panel and letters or words on the right are cut off which I need to fill in by hand. Some sites offer "printable view", but I don't recall having a problem with that. Probably not.
Is there a way to adjust the page so that all desired text is printed?

When I print I am getting a blank page between each printed page. Even if my document is one page it prints a blank page after it. I can also print a selected page, as in "print page 2" but it still prints a blank after it. The blank page does not show up on the preview.
I have a HP Deskjet D1300 and am running Vista Home using Word 2007. Is it a printer problem or a Word 2007 problem? Any suggestions?
I think you may have the printer set to print separator pages.
Look around in your printer properties (Control Panel>Printers>Printername>>Right Click>Properties) and disable.
I have a HP officejet v45, which has had new hp cartridges installed recently. Alignment page printed and aligned. Colours on tis page where as normal. After this I could only print about 30% of a page going across the page. Tried printing test page which again only printed about 30% of normal. Have uninstalled printed removed drivers and software via ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS in Control Panel.
Have used both the installation disc and a downloaded set of drivers and software from the HP website to reinastall the drivers to no avail.
I need the printer to print off CV's for an interview for a new job over the next few days.

Three days ago when I tried to print from the web and then WORD there was no installed printer. I checked and the printer was still installed but when printing a document the print screen said their was no printer installed. I checked and the print spooler was not working. So I downloaded the Microsoft tool MicrosoftFixit.Printing.Run.exe. I ran it and presto the printer worked but only once and when I went to print again, again the print box showed that there was no printer installed. So I have to run the Microsoft.Fixit.printing.run.exe tool every time I want to print a page then restart the computer. A royal pain and time waster.
Something is turning the spooler off and not allowing individual programs to see the installed printer and therefore reports that there is no installed printer.
2nd issue. this is a new laptop (ACER) and there is no LED light to show "Caps Lock". I did find a setting that flashes the screen and makes an audible beep. However, my wife has the exact same computer and hers has a 2" x 2" box appear each time she puts cap Lock on. Which is way less distracting than audible beeps and flashing screens. Is there a setting for this? I have not found one in the Microsoft website for Windows 7.

I have a HP C4850 configured to work through the wireless. I can ping the printer and access its internal web page. Network configuration prints out no fails or errors so as far as I can tell everything is configured correctly. If I send it a print job, a small notepad document with the text "test" in it, it won't print. Eventually it just seems to forget the print job is there. However if I send the job, then print the network device configuration, the print job will print immediately after. I did this 3 times and it was consistent in its behavior. I'm at a complete loss, any ideas?
Any ideas of where to start?
I recently installed Outlook 2010 and I have got the following strange problem and I was wondering
whether anyone else had the same problem and found a solution.
Whenever I print an Outlook email, the pages come out in reverse order (page 2 then page 1) with a blank cover page which sometimes has "Microsoft Outlook - memo style OUTLOOK.EXE" printed
on the middle of it, and a blank sheet between each page of the message.
It only happens with Outlook. Printing is normal with Word, Excel, etc.
Any suggestions, please?
In Outlook please go to File - Print, highlight Memo Style, then click Print Options button above. In a new window Print, hightlight Memo Style again. Click Define Styles... In a new window, make sure that Memo Style is hightlighted and click RESET button.
If this wont help, click Edit button in the same window, and make sure all the parameters make sense and are correct (page size, etc.)

I have an Access database used on daily basis to enter and print the maintenance work order in a report format. I have assigned a command button to print the required record. On clicking the button in the Form, a parameter query will run asking the user to put the record number to proceed. Once the correct record number is entered in the parameter text box, the report is previewed and the user click on the print button to print the same.
My question is as follows:
Is there any method to find out the record i am going to print now was already printed before? A kind of record keeping for the printed records.
Also, a message box should warn the user saying incase if the record was already printed, “The record was previously printed, do you want to continue printing again?”
Please tell me a way to perform the above in my Form.
could't you just add a field in the record for printed?
Then if printeed true, show warning, else show printable form.
I have tried searching and searching for this problem but nothing seems to come up with this particularly odd problem. I'm actually running 3rd party software hosted on an AS/400 system but from a Windows 7 32-bit computer. If I right-click the title-bar of the window and select print, the print dialog box comes up asking for the printer I want to use. I select one, then click "Print" and the following comes out on the page....
<See Sample.jpg> (Of course, that's not an actual page, it's a representation of what you'd see on the page, but it's accurate despite the fact that it's color. Anyway, the print screens come out light and don't scan in well.)
As you can see, the print dialog box is clearly visible on the page. This seems to randomly crop up only on Windows 7 boxes and once it starts, we seem to have no way to stop it.
I have an HP LaserJet 1020 attached to a WinXP Pro workstation via USB. I have an Intel iMac networked with the PC wirelessly. I can detect the LaserJet on the iMac just fine, and on the iMac, documents spool and even say they have printed (they show up in the "completed" section of the printer control panel).
So, the iMac thinks the document printed, but it never did. When I look at the print queue on the Windows machine, I see "Remote Downlevel Document" in it. I assume that the iMac is printing to a port instead of starting the Windows Print Spooler, and this is why it is showing up with this name.
When viewing the LaserJet's queue on WinXP, the downlevel document is "Printing," and "113k/113k" has been transferred. But the document never prints - if I try to "cancel" the document in the Windows print queue, it says "deleting" for a verrrrry long time. Documents can be printed just fine locally on the Windows workstation.
Thanks in advance!

I know how to add a background sound to a web page, however I'm not sure how to make this available upon clicking on a hyperlink.
Let me explain what I am trying to do because I am probably going about this the wrong way. I have a songs page on my website with bookmarks that take you to a particular song of your choice where the words are listed. I would like to include a link or a button alongside this so the tune can be played.
Thanks in advance.
It will have to be downloaded regardless unless you have a server that can stream the particular media you are playing. In general they will play on the end users PC if they have the application to play it with.
You can do it this way as well and the player will be on the web page with a start and stop button.

I am using Crystal Reports XI and my report is printing out invoices and working perfectly, but on the back of each page I need to print out some information that isn't part of the database, just a text box (terms & conditions).
So first page will be invoice data, the back of that will be text, the second page will have invoice data if it goes past two pages, and the back of that will have the text.
Please let me know if this is possible or if I need to explain better.
I may not be fully understanding your needs.
It sounds like the back of form will be static (ie non-changing).
If so, why not print back page first? Print 100 copies, lay aside.
When ready to print invoice, load preprinted paper (turned over and oriented correctly) into printer and print invoice.
Is this close or is it way off of your needs?
Is there some way to make it so page numbers display on the printed pages of an Adobe .pdf file? I converted a Word document to .pdf, but the Word document did not have the numbered pages. I now want to add the numbers in Adobe Reader, but it looks like I'll have to go back to the original Word document, add headers which include the page number, and then re-convert it to .pdf. Is that correct? If I could do it within Adobe Reader, that would be preferable.
The file is a creation from an original Word file, the page numbers would need to exist in the Word file.
It would be a nightmare if in creating a PDF it was able to assign new printed page numbers as these would often not align with the original document and TOC's would be incorrect.
i have a word document of 12 pages, how do i add a blank page somewhere in the middle?
I use to know, I seem to remember it was just a couple of keystrokes, maybe cntrl and something else?

I am using batch manager in Omnipage Professional 17 to convert batch of PDF files to text files using Omnipage.
Now the problem is i want to add some indicator specifying page numbers to separate different pages of PDF files in my text file.
as an example suppose there is an PDF file with 5 pages getting converted to a single text file using Omnipage then i want to add page number in my text file to separate each page content available in PDF file pages.
I went through help docs of batch manager but do not find any configuration option to do this.
Please let me know if anyone have solution for this.

Mozilla has pulled a "Chrome" by adding a search box to the new tab page in Firefox 31, which reached beta status yesterday and is slated to ship in final form on July 22.
Along with the nine thumbnails representing the user's most-frequently-visited websites, the new tab page in Firefox 31's beta sports a search field near the top of the window. Typing a search string in the box initiates a search on Google, unless the user has changed the default search engine. If the Firefox user has changed the search engine -- say, to Yahoo or Microsoft's Bing -- that choice is also used in the new tab page's search box.

Hello Folks, I have a couple issues with MS InfoPath 2010.
I hope there is someone here who can help me.
I am creating a form which is going to be used for PRINTING only. No Saving.
I have an issue with using page breaks.. I have a page break at the end of every view so when the form is printed each view is on it's own sheet of paper. My problem is that it appears that the page breaks may be the cause of an added BLANK page when the form is printed.
When you print the form, after each page, there is a blank page. This only occurs when I use a page break. I have to use a page break otherwise my views will run together when printed. The blank pages can be seen in the Print Preview as well.
Can someone help me figure out how I can fix this issue?

I've got an HP Deskjet D4360. I downloaded the latest print drivers from HP and installed all that.
However, printing anything without margins set (EG Emails from Outlook, or Web pages) the text on all four sides of the document will be cut off. See below - the first couple of letters are missing from the left of all paragraphs. And the "1" is missing form the "Page 1 of 1" on the right.
So it looks like Windows just need to scale down the whole page a bit....

I have 2 clones both with Asus motherboards, both have AMD Phenom X2 CPUs, 1 has 16GB of RAM and the other has 8GB of RAM, they are both using the onboard Realtech NIC and are wired to a Netgear Gigabit switch that connects to a Netgear FVS318v3 router. One system works fine, the other , not so much. It cannot get a DHCP address from the router although the other one has no problem getting an address. Neither do our 2 laptops and my Asus Transformer tablet.
The system that cannot get a DHCP IP, but when configured with a fixed IP it can see the network printer, it can see the other devices on the network, it can ping both sides of the router, but it cannot ping google.com. It CAN tracert to it however.

Its a Dell Inspirion B120, and when in windows... their are to 1 inch thick black bars on both sides of the screen horizontally.
It is a windows issue, because it doesnt appear when in bios, and executing diagnostic tools outside of windows.
Try uninstalling, then reinstalling the video drivers.
If it continues, I'd say that the video chip/card is dying.
Hey guys! I hope I am posting this in a correct section?!
So my problem is that when I want to print on both sides on my Windows 7 x64 it is suggesting only "Print on both sides (Manually)". But I want it automatically.
The printer types is HP Color LaserJet CP 2025dn. The printer itself is able to do this function, because the other computers in my network which has Windows xp have an option to print on both sides (not manually) automatically.
So I really don't get this, what's the matter? Windows 7? Printer?
Thank you very much
This is a printer function rather than Windows. I'd try a driver update and then configure the printer.
I have had an HP5 printer with a duplex unit for several years and I used to be able to set it to print duplex (both sides) by default. Since upgrading to Windows 2000 from Windows 98 about two years ago, I cannot get the printer to default to printing both sides. I must select this in the software every time I print.
I have the latest driver and I have set "DUPLEX=ON" on the printer's console. Still, it ignores my setting.
Any solution for this?
I have tried searching everywhere and trying everything that I have found and nothing works.

According to the review found HERE, that is the case. From that review -The only real omission is lack of full duplex (two-sided) printing ? although there is a manual duplex option if you don?t mind standing by the printer and turning the pages over by hand.1 more replies

Dual monitors are set up in the control panel - display - screen resolution as Monitor 1 on the Left and Monitor 2 on the Right. The mouse moves between the monitors normally, stopping at the far right on monitor 2 and far left on Monitor 1. It all looks good.
Randomly during the day the mouse changes direction and starts moving between monitors in the opposite directions.

I've had my Compaq Presario SR1250NX for 1 1/2 years. It's a Pentium 4 using Windows XP. My monitor is a 17" flat screen (not panel).
About 2 weeks ago the monitor screen display started jumping in and out on both sides.
I set the refresh rate to its highest setting (85) and that helped but did not stop it, it just made it less frequent from happening every minute to every several minutes.
Nothing has changed in my home office electronically. My phone and cell phones are the same they've always been sitting in the same places. I haven't added any programs to my computer, just normal updates as they occur.
What could this be? What should I do next?

As many of you no doubt have heard, Yahoo! recently released a new toolbar which they claim detects and removes spyware. The toolbar uses technology licensed from Pest Patrol, the vendor of a popular antispyware product.
Unfortunately, it turns out that Yahoo! has decided to set the toolbar to ignore all so-called "adware". The toolbar forces the user specifically to set it to seek out adware. ................................................................

First, is it possible to print on both sides of a sheet of paper in Word 2000?
Second, is it possible to print on both sides of a sheet of paper in Word 2000 using Mail Merge?
The Microsoft website and Word 2000 help did not offer any solutions. Thank you.
First of all, when you say print two sided, do you mean in one pass through the printer? That depends on the printer: is it a duplex printer and do you have the appropriate driver for it? If you're not sure, you can put the make and model here and we can probably figure it out. Generally, you can just go to the web site or the owner's manual for its capabilities.
Second, a document, mailmerge or otherwise, does not care whether you print it one- or two-sided.

Hi guys, I have a quick question regarding some games I am trying to play. I just got a new laptop, it's a cheapo - Asus K200MA, 11.6" screen, running Windows 8.1. No graphics card or anything, but it's powerful enough to play older games. I am trying to play Half Life and Elderscrolls 3 Morrowind but I have the same problem with each game. When I start the game I have black margins, approx. 1 inch on both sides of the screen, so it's not displaying in full screen mode. I have tried some fixes like going to screen resolution/advanced/IntelHD Graphics Control Panel/Maintain Display Scaling but it doesn't work. I am not sure if this is a problem with my monitor or with windows 8.1. It's a generic monitor so it doesn't have a lot of options. I've searched for a while but can't find any solutions online. Can anyone help? Thanks so much.
The only thying I can think of is that your gaming res isnt set to your native desktop res. I know that you said you have looked at this, bu tI suggest checking, see what your desktop res is, and make sure that games have the same setting. I play HL and dont get black margins, so I know that it will run properly.

Then try to install it again. some times when you install a new version over an old one what it does is just to replace the old files with the new ones and the OS doesn load all the entries correctly... please try to connect all the ports required to your motherboard based on its manual.
Both my front audio ports detect devices I plug in. The issue is, both sides play at the same time even if the panning options are set to the middle to play both right and left. If I pan all the way to the right and test the right speaker for sound, it would result in both sides playing. Testing left would mute both naturally. Panning all the way to the left does the same thing. Plays both sides, if the left speaker is tested and naturally would mute both if the right is tested.
Microphones work with no problems and other devices are still being detected aside from the panning problem. All other headset experience the same panning issue including phone headsets.
I have installed the latest Realtek drivers, the back panel is working perfectly but my wired headset isn't that long which is why I'd prefer to use the front audio panels.
Motherboard: MSI Z87 MPOWER (Not the max one)
Case: Antec Three Hundred Two
First question have you checked the headset to make sure its not the problem, rather than the PC? Try the headset in another computer or an MP3 player or phone, etc. to see how it works with something else.
Several possibilities, assuming the headset is not the problem. (1) the front panel connector that is plugged into the motherboard port (2) the front panel headphone/jack assembly.
Many cases have both a "HD Audio" and an "AC97" connectors for the front panel headphone and mic jacks. Check and if you have both, try the one not being used to see if makes a difference (The HD Audio is the preferred connector as it has jack sensing).
Its a remote chance there is a problem with the front panel audio connection on the motherboard, so the case front panel assembly is the most likely problem. If you are capable, you can look into the front panel assembly and see if you can see anything obvious wrong or shorted and if you have an ohmmeter you could try to trace out the individual wires from the connector to the jack.
Turning on HDMI 3rd monitor screws up the Display 1 & 2 which are VGA and DVI
I usually have Skype open and 2 browsers. Monitor 1 on DVI for work and monitor 2 is VGA for facebook Twitter and that kind of stuff and Skype under the browser on monitor 2 and monitor 3 is on a second/separate video card hooked up to HDMI used for music videos and cctv cameras.
As of lately when I turn on the HDMI monitor all the programs switch sides.
Skype will move from the lower right side of monitor 2 over to the lower right side f monitor 1
The browser thats on monitor 2 will switch over to monitor 1 and the browser that was on monitor 1 will swap sides from monitor 1 over to #2.
The 3rd monitor is sometimes used for music videos but currently it is hooked up to a CCTV DVR on the DVR VGA hookup so it even does this when the TV (Monitor 3) is not on HDMI mode for the computer.
I can turn monitors 1 and 2 on and off 1000 times and nothing will happen but as soon as I turn on the HDMI everything swaps sides.
Why would powering on HDMI display do this and how can I stop open programs from swapping sides on monitor 1 & 2 when I turn on the TV (Monitor 3) even if its not in HDMI mode when powered on?

Service Pack 1 (uninstalled & reinstalled 2 days ago -- although it's not listed under Properties when I right-click on 'My Computer' icon -- Service Pack 2 is listed there)
My computer has really slowed down. The left & right sides of the screen jiggle at times (not all the time) -- the sides will go in and out about an eighth or quarter inch very quickly -- it's very shaky. TrendMicro gives me several warnings every day for this:
This last part of it changes into a different ending every time the warning occurs -- examples are:
There were some parts of some steps I couldn't pull off, though I tried. I couldn't get the second part of Step 4 to work, and I couldn't get the hijackthis utility in Step 5 to download.
Thanks for helping me,
so here's the log I was able to get:

This is something that has been bugging me for a while now, and I've been unable to solve this problem. Perhaps someone out there can provide some guidance.
Sometimes, I'm unable to print things (such as online coupons) because I'm told that my printer is set to "Keep Printed Documents." I've tried disabling this setting via the Advanced tab under the printer's properties. However, when I do this, click Apply then OK, and close the tab, the setting automatically reverts back to "Keep Printed Documents". Does anyone know why this is happening? It's sort of frustrating to not be able to set the printer settings the way you choose.
I appreciate any tips/suggestions you might have. Thanks!

Other than dogging the print preview, and struggling with the size in any pertinent image editing software, has anyone found a reliable way to limit or control the size of a printed web document?
I scanned an odd shaped document, 3x8" to email to myself at another site, and the printed form was big enough for two pages. What a waste.
I print receipts regularly and they, 99% of the time have a "trailer" on a last page that has stuff like web site address or URL, a Secure Website emblem, or other, clearly unnecessary printing. My introduction to Windows word processing (WordPerfect) had, and I still use, a "makeitfit" command. Invoking such a command AUTOMATICALLY when printing from the web seems like a simple, brainless way to conserve paper...it'll give me a fractional font (e.g. 11.9 vs. a 12) and would prevent the idiotic tendency of a printed page to only have the leftward 80%, l which leaves off the important stuff like the prices...(you gotta print landscape to avoid this)
And I thought a computer was to make life easier, boy was I ever misled)
The problem is that web pages are usually coded to make them look good on screen, and that tends to make them "unfriendly" when printing.
Web pages designed for printing do exist, and it works well in those (few) cases.
Cutting and pasting into a word processor is sometimes the only workable solution.
when i tried to print photo from (user administrator)windows7 photo viewer there appear print picture windows without photo preview(seems busy) and after some seconds five repeated error messages "your picture cannot be printed because of this error occured" appear. From Windows Answers:
I believe it is a problem with the "photowiz.dll" file in system32. It is version 6.x.xxxx.xxxx. I found an older version of this file, had to change the attributes and permissions of the file to allow it to be changed. I renamed it with an "dlx" extension and then copied a version 5.1 photowiz.dll to system32 and the print wizard works again! The site I got the file from is: http://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-files_new.php/dllfiles/P/photowiz.dll/5.1.2600.2180/download.html
Try Googling your problem first. Hope that helps
I have searched to find an answer to this problem of faded pictures when printed from windows photo gallery. I have seen a few others having the same problem, but no solutions. I am hoping that someone now can help.
I can print pictures from other software on my computer, from the internet, etc, with great photo quality. When I print from Windows photo gallery they are very light and faded looking. I have made sure the adjustments are for my printer.
It seems that most of the people experiencing this problem had canon printers. Does anyone have a solution to this?
I have found the solution to this problem, you need to untick the checkbox for "borderless printing", this is how to do it:
When you click print, go to Options > Printer Properties
Click on the "Page Setup" tab, then Untick the box that says "Borderless Printing"
I love Myriam the little bunny
I have 3 print queues that are retaining the printed jobs in the queue and every now and again the damn thing prints all the job again. I have checked that the keep printed jobs button is NOT checked/selected, but the queue acts ilke it is selected to keep printed jobs. I have 125 printer queues and only 3 act like this and they are set up identical to the others. I have reconfigured this twice on all 3 and they still act like they are set to keep printed jobs in the queue.
Anyone seen this and know of a solution, on the Microsoft site I am seeing posts but not a single reply about how to either run a job to clear them out a couple times a day or fix this so they act as configured. To NOT keep printed jobs in the queue.
Any help as always is much appreciated.
The race to solution is on, let's see who can figure this one out first.

Whenever I print out an email from someone, the resulting document prints my first and last name (Outook Express) in the top left corner. I would like to orevent this but have searched in the Options and cannot find how it got there or how to permanently remove it. Can someone please tell me. Thank you.
It is using your user name for the header.
You can change this in the account settings.
Not sure if you can turn this off.
I am unable to print pictures completely. I print them from Picasa on HP photosmart C4250. When I try to print, although the preview is correct, the printed result is not. Part of a picture will come out, or the image starts at the end of the paper and is therefore incomplete. Until now, everything worked properly.
I'm new here!
First I would like to say I'm a TBI survivor and I'm a male and 42 years old .
I was purchased an emachine computer with a Lexmark lasar printer,
Whenever I go to print something, be it a web site article or a personal document that was created using Microsoft Works Word Processor. Whatever is being printed my name appears at the VERY top and the city and state printed at the bottom.
I know little about computers so I'm trying to get an answer why this is being printed.
The only thing that I can come up with is MY NAME, CITY and STATE was somehow entered on this computer's Hard drive and is prints it because it's been entered by someone at the store before iyt was brought home and set up for me.
If there is someway that I can delete this info. being printed, PLESE tell me what to do EXACTLY!
That's very strange, it sounds like a 'Header and Footer' has been set up with that info and is in your normal.dot template. (If Works uses such a template, I know Word does).
Try doing a Find (or Search depending on your version of Windows) for normal.dot and rename any found to normal.old. Then test the printing again. If there is a problem you change the names back again.
Well not sure if this is the right area for this but not really sure what the problem is.
When I boot my PC during the bootup dos stage I hear my PC making noises, it still boots up Windows 7 ok but as soon as I open something I get continious R type accross my screen, If I hit the caps lock it changes from R to r.
Thought it was my keyboard having the R locked down so tried to fix it, no luck. Changed keyboards with my spare one no luck. Disconnect all keyboards no luck.
So where is this R coming from, its impossible to us my PC at the moment as soon as you click somewhere (word, exel, Google etc) an R/r appears.
Any ideas where to start?

Don't print much multi page output, so am NOT sure when this problem began.
Originally, the pages on my HP DJ855C were printed as expected: page-1 first, then page-2, etc; this resulted with page-1 being on the bottom of the stack. Depending on the application being used, there was often a Print-Order option available for Back-to-Front printing so that the last page would be printed first and then page-1 would be printed last and be on the top in the stacker.
NOW, things seem to have reversed:
If I do NOT ask for the Back-to-Front, then I seem to get it anyway (i.e., page-1 last and on the top). but if I want the original order (i.e., page-1 first and on the bottom) then I must use the Back-to-Front option.
It seems as though the default has become Back-to-Front and then selecting the option for Back-to-Front re-reverses the order and the result is Front-to-Back.
Possibly this reversal happened when I went to Win/XP; possibly it happened with the installation of some piece of software.
Q. Has anyone else had this exxperience?
Please tell me where I might change some parameter to make the option of Front-to-Back actually print the page-1 first like it did originally?
Any advice apprecaited.
Go into your printers and faxes options off of your start menu.
Select your printer, right click the mouse and click on printing preferences.
On the features tab at the bottom there is a option for start printing from last page. If there is a check mark in the box next to it, click there with the mouse and uncheck it and then click on apply and ok and you should be all set after that?
Im using access 2010 and there is a print of a report like a certificate whenever needed. My office is requesting me to provide a report of all certificate printed including the date and to whom .
my only way to do this is to force users to enter a field print (yes/no) and from there the query "yes" and the report be printed.
Is there any way to do this without forcing the user to enter the yes/no. field.

The problem I am having is that when I go to print tax return forms from the IRS site or New York Tax Dept site, the form prints "short", that is, the last four or five lines of each page do not print.
You cannot save the data in these forms, they will only save as a blank form. Your only option is to print it.
However, although Adobe tells how to cure this problem ( by clicking File-Print and going down the menu which comes up to "printer scaling", then chosing "print to fit page", this only works if there is a
FILE menu on the left hand side of the page.
In these tax sites, the forms do not have a tool bar above allowing you to chose a FILE menu.
You can right click the mouse and chose PRINT, however it will print a cut off page.
SOOOOOOO ..how do I either:
1. Get a standard Tool Bar to appear on top of the form, on these web site pages, or
2. use some other device or method to print these documents to fit the page.
If any of you are about to suggest right clicking on the printer icon PRINTERS, in the control panel, forget it....my printer does not bring up anything about "Print Scaling".
Hopefully, some geek out there will read this and solve my problem. Thank you. 44 Guy
Every computerized tax form that I have seen...is available at the website of the sponsoring governmental agency...and reflects a printed version option which has resulted in everything being printed properly.
I'm not sure where Adobe figures into tax preparation.
If you are using a 3d-party app to do taxes...then the problem resides with the support for that application, IMO.
I have an HP Deskjet 920c that has worked fine until a few days ago. I tell it to print and the goes through the motions but nothing comes out. I have printed photos from e-mails before, but never had a problem with moire patterns. This time I have a fine vertical line pattern that is not clearly seen unless you have glasses on that magnify them. Unfortunately, I wear glasses that bring them out. What can I do to prevent or get rid of the moire? Any ideas? Thanks, lilart
It likely just a matter of the resolution of the email derived image vs the resolution of the printer. Does it happen with every image or just the lower resolution ones from the emails?
Fill color isn't displayed during normal viewing of a worksheet. When the worksheet is printed or print-previewed, the colors are visible.
Re-installed Excel, problem persists.
Go to your control panel and double click on Accessibility Options.
Click on the Display tabsheet and uncheck "Use High Contrast" then press OK to close that window. You should now be able to see color in your view mode.
Hey, I have a person here that has the problem that drawings that she has in her documents don´t print out. I´ve tried turning off background printing still same, I´ve tried printing it on my printer and that works.
Anyone have any idea on any settings or something I can change to make it work?

I have an Access database used on daily basis to print maintenance work order. Each work order is assigned with an auto field No. I have a commend button assigned to print each record in a report format. On clicking command button, i enter the record number to be printed and it previews the report and check for accuracy of data entered. Once checked, i click on the print icon to print the same.
My question is, is there any method to find out the record i am going to print now is already printed before? A kind of record keeping of the printed records. Also, the same method shall help me to find out how many times each record is printed?
Hope someone can help me

Gentlemen/Ladies,I?m not sure where to post this question so I?m plumping for this forum, knowing that it will be redirected if it is in the wrong place.Occasionally, when I open a website, its pages are too wide for my monitor and I have to scroll across to the right to see what is hidden from view. When I go to print the pages, I end up with just threequarters of the width of the script.I am using an HP LaserJet 1010 printer.I do not have this problem with all websites. Today, the offender is - http://www.explorenorth.com/whalers/featur...lecaptains1.htmWill the pages of this website be partly displayed on the monitors of all of the people who open it , or are my own ?settings? to blame. Please, how can I overcome the problem ?Yours sincerely, oldsoldier
Hi oldsoldier.I get the same thing when viewing that page. My screen resolution is set to 1024X768. I found that if I went to View>Text Size and set it to Smallest the page almost fit. Have you used Print Preview in the File menu to see what the page will print like? You can also use Page Setup in the File menu to adjust the margins etc. before printing.3 more replies
