I have the syntax for copying the entry to another public folder but am wondering if anyone has a mock up of what the destination code would like to copy it to another mailbox via VBA?
Here is what I use for the public folder, which works fine right now:

Within AD (win2003) I have got two separate users accounts one of them is called General Manager and other is called info.
General Manager user has an email address which is : [email protected] and info has an email address which is : [email protected]
While a go a general Manger asked that he wanted a copy of all emails that are delivered to [email protected] to be delivered to his mailbox as well (means emails that are destined to info mailbox should be destined to his mailbox as well )
What I did as below :
Within Active Directory Users and Computers > select the info user account > “ Exchange General " tab > " delivery options " > “ Deliver messages to both forwarding address and mailbox “
What happened after that a calendar for [email protected] was created automatically within the manager office outlook 2003. That means he had two calendars one for general manager and other for info user
These days he asked me to remove the calendar for [email protected] from his office outlook 2003 (not email).
I tried to think about a proper phrase to search via google but I could not figure out that
What should I d o to remove [email protected] ?
Any ideas of how to copy checkbox data from Outlook 10 Calendar to Excel?
I created a large number of custom controls in Outlook Calendar. These include a number of checkboxes. I created a custom view with all of the fields (it's in list format so it looks like a spreadsheet). I used CTRL-A and CTRL-C to select all and copy. When I pasted into Excel none of the checkbox controls transferred. Everything else is there. I tried the same thing with Access with the same results.
Controls are not data, you cannot copy them elsewhere.
I recently installed outlook 2007 on a new computer and imported all my saved information from a backup file from my previous computer. Outlook created a new calendar with all my saved information on it, in the same folder as the main calendar. Since the default/main calendar cannot be deleted, I want to copy all the information from the imported calendar to the main one (and then delete the imported one).
If anyone knows how to do this, it would be greatly appreciated. My attempts to search online have thus far been futile.
on the OLD cmputer; export to file and choose the calendar. Save it to a known location.
network the two system or copy the file (by any means) to the new system.
now IMPORT from file and point at the exported file
I can't get the popup reminders for the calendars to work. Neither in the Metro calendar nor in Outlook.
I also can't make them synchronize.
Does anyone know?
Do sound alerts exist at all in Windows calendars or just pop ups if any?
Using Windows 10 Calendar (Outlook) as my primary calendar. The calendar contains two accounts, my Microsoft Live Account and my Gmail Account. In the left panel, I have the Gmail Calendar checked ? the Outlook calendar is unchecked. When I add an event, the default dropdown is my Gmail calendar which is what I want as my default.
Events that I add to my calendar show up in both my Outlook calendar and my Gmail calendar as expected ? or maybe not quite as expected. I?ve just discovered that if I add an event several months in the future, it momentarily appears on my Outlook calendar and then is deleted (I see a brief deleted message appear). If I then go directly to my Gmail calendar, the event I just added shows up as expected. As of today (March 24), the cutoff date when the Windows/Outlook calendar automatic deletes begin to occur is September 7 (or 167 days from now). I haven?t yet experimented to see if the cutoff date moves forward every day.
Very strange. Anybody know what?s going on. If you have a similar calendar setup as mine, give it a try and see if your experience is the same. By the way, my Windows 10 system is fully updated.
I'm trying to help a friend who has just installed Office 2016 on her computer, which was recently upgraded from Win7 to Win10.
She's been using Outlook.com and has accumulated a fair amount of email, contacts and calendar appointments. I've managed to get her email to show up by adding it to Outlook 2016 as a POP3 account. I was able to import her contacts into Outlook 2016 from a file called OutlookContacts.csv. Now I'm trying to get her calendar with all its many calendars and appointments into Outlook 2016.
I'm not sure why but the appointments all show up just fine in Mail and Calendar for Windows 10, even though we did nothing to put them there (as far as we know). But she'd like them to appear when she clicks on the Calendar in Outlook 2016 and I can't find any information on how to do that. I've also looked for some kind of Export function in the Mail and Calendar for Windows 10 app but I came up empty.
How do I get her calendar into Outlook 2016?
I can't be the only one who finds Microsoft *awful* at documenting this kind of basic functionality. Millions of people must have tried to do the same thing before me but if there's any information out there on how to do this, it has eluded me so far....
You can manually export calendars from Outlook.com using a round-a-bout method I posted at this link. However, I don't think that's going to help you because what you really want to do is set up Outlook 2016 so that her email, calendar and contacts sync with (and stay in sync with) her Outlook.com account.
Therefore, instead of setting email up as a POP account and then importing calendar, contacts, etc. separately, why not just setup Outlook 2016 to work with her Outlook.com account? I haven't done it with Outlook 2016, only older Outlook versions that used Hotmail Connector, however the following instructions for Outlook 2016 seem fairly straight forward.
If she has two-factor authentication switched on for her Outlook.com account, then you may need to generate an app password from her Outlook.com account, and use that as the password instead of the actual Microsoft Account password.
I currently use Outlook 2010 for work and have a lot of appointments.

Re: Outlook 2003
Is there is a way to designate a Shared Outlook Calendar (that is used as our company-wide calendar) as an individual's default calendar. We are set up with a Microsoft XP Exchange Server.
The goal is to have the company-wide calendar download to a Blackberry Curve as the user's default calendar. Right now he sees his own calendar which he does not need. We have the Blackberry Desktop Manager installed on his network computer.
As an addendum, it would be preferable that the Outlook/Blackberry user not be able to modify the office-wide Shared Calendar (should there be a way for him to see it) so that all changes still go through our calendar maven. Thank you.
my online outlook calendar does not sync with my Windows Calendar app. I am talking about the online calendar which can be accessed after sign-in here: Prihláste sa do svojho konta Microsoft which for me used to always take all the information from my desktop calendar app, and vice-versa, when I entered an event online, it also appeared in my desktop app. This was useful for syncing with my phone and generally accessing my calendar when not having my laptop on me. This is now impossible for me to do.
Now they don't sync and it's quite annoying, I am getting desperate and thinking of using some other app (if you have tips, tell me. I went through this: Resolve sync issues in Mail and Calendar apps in Windows 10 - Office Support it did not solve the problem. I have updates on (I apply them manually). I have Windows 10 all up to date. and all settings allow calendar to be synced. I checked if I am signed in to the same account, I only have one account in the app and the same one online.
Thank you in advance for any help.
Also, I am adding a picture if it helps, on the left is my calendar, when I access it online, on the right is my Windows App. You can clearly see that there is a lot more on the right. I just want the events to appear in the online calendar as well, as they did before...
It seems that Google?s sync program just syncs it's calendar with the default Outlook calendar.
Does anyone know if there is any way to just sync one particular calendar with Google's? Not Outlooks default calendar. I don?t want all my personal info going over to a ?group Google? calendar.

I need a calendar program for my computer since I recently upgraded my computer with student office 2007, which doesn't have outlook like the 2003 edition. Can I have any suggestions? I don't want a web based program that needs that internet to function.

I do not like windows live mail. I find that is not very good. So I set outlook up with my hotmail account. But this has 2 seperate contact lists and 2 seperate calendars. I put my contacts into the new list, but is there any way of importing this stuff into outlook so i don't have to copy it whenever i add a new thing to the calendar?
From W Mail use file and import and export. From OUtlook, it should be the same.

I have been using Outlook 2003 for many years then upgraded to 2007, which I've used for years.
Typically I would enter appointments into my calendar in my Outlook 2007 and sync that with my phone....the blueberry or iPhone 3GS....I upgraded to the iPhone4 and have put appointments into my iPhone and synced my iPhone using iTunes (which normally syncs my Outlook calendar as well).
However, I've noticed recently some appt's put into my phone were not showing up on my Outlook Calendar....more snooping and I've just tonight discovered I have another calendar named iSync-Calendar.ics! Well, that's where many of my missing appointments were found!!
So I look closer at my iPhone4 and go to settings>calendar> and look for my default calendar which is iSync-Calendar.ics!!!
I am assuming that somehow that got switched, but used to be "calendar" which was outlook.
I am hoping this doesn't happen in the future..but for now I'm displaying both Calendar and iSync-Calendar.ics on Outlook so I can see all my appointments!!
Glad I caught that tonight as I have double and tripled booked some time slots in the future not seeing them on my iPhone since default calendar was iSynch and NOT calendar and vice versa!!!
Do you think I corrected the problem? Can I sync the iSync appts into or import them into my Calendar??
Is there a procedure for syncing the calendar app in Win 10 with the Outlook 2013 calendar? I have been trying to sync my calendar in Outlook 2013 with my Blackberry Z30 in Blackberry Blend and Blackberry Link. So far I can only sync Windows 10 contacts with my BB Z30. Selecting the Calendar app isn't an option -- see the attachment. The Blackberry help and support sites are neither helpful nor supportive.
Not really. RIM software is hard to do. Try setting up the email settings with calendat on the phone. I know that howardforums.com is the best cellular forum that may still have their RIM forum up.
I use Sunrise with Chrome, so that I can sync my iCloud Calendar.
So, this is about the integration between the two, of course. I have added the WL feed to OC and it appears there. Every task appears as an "all day" event. Then I uncheck the "all day" box, enter the respective time and make my schedule. And then, I guess at the next refresh from the WL feed, all events are back to "all day" :( Does anybody know how to deal with this? Or any reasonable way to put WL tasks into a(ny) calendar without having to jump through hoops? Thanks in advance!More replies
I have an excel macro that we use to create Outlook 2003 calendar invites. Basically, it spins thru cells in the spreadsheet, picking up names and making them optional or required. I've had a persistent problem for several months since I migrated to a new hard drive. Outlook 2010 calendar is working, but only in Active List view. Any attempt to change to Preview or Calendar view produces the error message, "Could not read the calendar." Changing from Active List to List works some of the time, but inconsistently and sometimes it will hunt for the list and offer the same "Could not read the calendar." error message. This is very frustrating as I find it difficult to manage the list view and am accustomed to seeing the calendar week view.
I use an Android phone and use gmail and Google calendar to see mail and appointments on my phone. So, I've got Google Calendar Sync 0.9.4.1 running. Google Calendar Sync appears to be operating normally. I have a nice calendar view on my phone or web-based from my computer. I have tried adding the Google calendar to Outlook but it is a duplicate of the default calendar and I can't set it as the default. Also, MS Office does not permit me to delete the default calendar.
I don't like any of the work arounds. I just want the calendar to work like it should. Research discloses no real hint of anything that works including running scanpst. Scanpst does a great job at fixing the problem by wiping the whole calendar thanks very much MS.

Unable to sync Nokia N8 with Windows Live Calendar - Portable Devices
If I enter an appointment on the native calendar app it is not pushing these appointments to other devices or even the browser outlook.com calendar view. Should it be doing so? It works the other way around. So if I enter an appointment on my phone (iOS) using the outlook setup on the calendar it does push the appointment to the calendar app on Windows 10. Just not other way round!
Ok, correction - it does work. Just took a while to push them out. About 30 minutes to come through. Pretty slow but at least it did it. Maybe servers are slow although I'm sure it's pretty instant the other way round !1 more replies

Have been trying for a while to sync windows 10 calendar on my laptop with windows 10 calendar on my wife's laptop. No luck so far.
I have linked both individual windows 10 calendars with our individual google calendars, and events transfer successfully from both windows 10 calendars, through both google calendars, but will not download to the other windows 10 calendar.
Is that clear?
What I am trying to say is that I can create an event on my windows 10 calendar, it transfers to my google calendar, and then to my wife's google calendar, but it does not load on to my wife's windows 10 calendar. This works both ways.
Help will be very much appreciated. Please note that while I use my laptop a great deal I have little insight into the technicalities. It's a tool!

I have looked around online and some people said to open the file with text edit and delete the "UID." I did that but it did not help. Other people say to create another calendar and share it but that is also giving me problems.
Does anyone know how to get around this problem. I really need to have my calendar in my personal calendar that I have for my google account so I can keep my self sane and not get lost in grad school. Thank you for all your help.

We also have Resource Mailboxes in Exchange so that when you click on the "Rooms" button when setting up an appointment, you can see the room schedule, then add your appointment to the room by inviting the room as an attendee.
The boss wants to do something similar with the shared calendar. When she puts an appointment on her private calendar that will take her out of the office, she wants to be able to press the equivalent of the "Rooms" button and have that appointment be automatically copied to the shared calendar so that everyone can see that she will be out of the office.

That link doesn't seem to be working for some M$ reason. In the search type Add a Custom Category to the Outlook and the page shows up.
My CFO does not want anyone to see his calendar. I've gone through the permissions, there are no delegates and I've unchecked the folder visible. I can still open his calendar from my desk when I test the different settings.
Besides telling him to use a hard copy calendar or palm pilot am I missing something?
On an Exchange Server, using Office 2000 Pro on NT workstations.
edit - tried to open the calendar on a pc that did not have my admin rights and couldn't see it. So all of the above did work, thanks for letting me vent if nothing else.
Littlemar, you are his delegate, and you must go to his PC and remove yourself.
I don't have CW version here at home, but I recall that the setting is somewhere under one of the Tools-Options tabs...
You'll see yourself there as a delegate. Perhaps others too?
Delegates have full permission and can even send "on behalf of". They are not given permissions like others are under the permissions tab of a folder.
We have a need to share calendar information with other agencies. These agencies have e-mail but are not on our network so the calendar cannot be shared to them. We want to send the weekly calendar through e-mail. Is there anyway to do this? I'd like to be able to send the same type of document you get when you print it. Is there anyway to just print the calendar to a word file?
I do not want my users to do the export and import stuff...way to complicated for them.

Somebody created a calendar file that we all use (in Outlook 2003).
However she created several calendar entries for the future that now need deleting, but she's away on Maternity Leave and she set the permissions so that people can only edit their own entries (so we are stuck with hers!)
Is there a way of changing this?
I opened my Outlook this morning at my office this morning and it was fine. When I left my office in the afternoon to do work at home, my calendar was blank. My outlook is synced to a live.com (hotmail) account, not a business server. For some reason the events that were snoozed at one point are still popping up. The outlook calendar is synced thru google to my phone. I can still see the calendar in google which has a lot of appointments on it. I don't know if these were just appointments I added thru my phone though and not ones entered on my laptop. I can still see the calendar on my phone as well.
So, in sum, my calendar on desktop outlook is gone but remains on google and phone. When I open outlook a window pops up and says; "Could not read the calendar. Outlook cannot open this item. The item may be damaged." It also says this in the top right where the calendar used to be. If I click the calendar button it takes me to the page where the calendar should be but instead shows; "Cannot display the folder". I have Windows 7 and Outlook 2007. I'm not super IT savvy but need to get this calendar with the appointments back somehow. Sorry for the lengthy explanation, just trying to give as much info as possible. Please help if you can. Thanks!
I have a 3Ghz PC running Windows Xp Home and my question for you is about MS Outlook 03; specifically about the calendar feature. Some of the appointments that I create in the calendar will flash a reminder for me that they are coming due, just like they are supposed to and some of them won’t; the date and time just pass without any notification. I don’t think I am doing any thing differently between setting up the ones that work and the ones that won’t. I have my copy of Win Xp set to automatically update itself and I always check for any new updates for Office at least once a month. I even reloaded MS Office, thinking that some part of it must be corrupted. Any suggestions?
Thanks for any help…
Reminders are options on appointments. Make sure you're setting it.
Is there a way to make the text wrap when printing the Outlook calendar? I only seem to be able to print a single line which cuts off part of the apppointment. Also, is there a way to print the beginning and ending times? Currently only the beginning time is printing, thus not showing how long I have allotted for the appointment.
You guys/gals are great! What a tremendous help you are!
Sorry, I don't have the time now to do the search, but there is a thread where we discussed this.
I have outlook 2003 and in the calendar screen I selected to also show a taskview. The taskview I have selected is to show all tasks that are up to 7 days out. It shows all tasks that have a due date not just the ones up to 7 days out. HELP!
This isn't really a fix but it does stop this being a problem. Right-click on the TaskPad header in the Calendar window and select Customize current view, then select Group By. Now group by due date. Then select for only the next seven days to be displayed, tasks with no due date will still be displayed, but under a seperate heading of Due Date None. I will let you know if I find a better solution.
We have a PA the manages 7 directors calendars through Outlook 2003 SP3.
When any of them get a meeting request she also gets it into her inbox but if she deletes the meeting request it removes it from one of the directors calendar but none of the others. it should stay in the calendar like the others.
She has the same permissions to their calendars and mailbox for them all.
Any suggestions would be great.
When this user goes into his calendar in Outlook 2003 on a XP pro PC, instead of seeing the checkboxes (to select a shared calendar) he sees the calendar icons. *See Attachment* After he clicks on a shared calendar, all of the icons change back into the regular checkboxes. I have tried and uninstall/re install but it persists. Any thoughts would be appreciated! thanks.
Is there anyone out there that has an idea for me??
My family uses the Windows Calendar to share our schedules with each other. I would like to to move the family to outlook but the problem is you need a server to share outlolok calendars. However I at least need to be in Outlook, is there a way for me to share their calendars at least?

Is it possible to create an OL Calendar reminder that will be sent to your email in addition to giving a notice in OL? This is for OL 2010.
Like in Gmail Calendar, when you create an event you have the option to send a reminder to your email and/or mobile device.
I do not see anywhere how this is done. I'm I just missing it?
Thanks in advance for any help....
i have not tried this - but it seems it may do what you are asking
and this one is for meetings
I have a user receiving the following message from a item that she deleted from her calendar month's ago:
This meeting is not in the calendar; it may have been moved or deleted.
I looked at the calendar and there are no meetings scheduled for that time. She deleted all reoccurring meetings but every week she receives an email stating that one of the participants has declined.
Has anyone ever seen this before? Thanks for the help.
More than likely, even though she cancelled the meetings, someone or some people she sent them to did not, and the meeting is still in their calendar. They are getting popup notifications about the meeting, and sending a reply saying they won't attend, but when she receives it, it would return an error because it can't find the corresponding meeting in her Calendar.
I am just guessing, but have her contact all the people she originally had included in that meeting, and ask them to delete the meeting from their calendars.
I use Outlook 2007 primarily for the purpose of its Calendar. Now that it's summer my days usually have universal events such as sleeping and eating; and, for the most part, I eat and sleep for relatively the same length at the same time. I'd like it if I could somehow make a calendar template with my sleeping and eating times already filled in. Does anyone know how or if this can be done?
have you tried making a reoccuring entry? this should allow you to set your sleeping/eating times as a regular entry. hope this helps.6 more replies
I tried publishing my outlook calendar once and now I cant seem to get it to stop. I've uncheck the box under Update Frequency in the Publish Calendar Settings but when I close out of it, it is checked again. I've also been to Calendar Options -> Free/Busy Options and put 0 for "Publish months of Calendar..."Even after all that, this sign in box still pops up every few minutes asking me to sign in calendars.office.microsoft.com to publish my calendar. Basically I dont want that box popping up every few minutes...or ever.More replies
Is there a way to delete everything in the calendar all at once instead of just one at a time? I'm talking about a calendar full of stuff spreading over years. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks. Oh yeah, we're using Outlook 2000/Exchange 5.5 on Win2000 Pro desktops.
I imagine that you can access your account on the server and delete the mailbox.
Hi. I have Outlook XP and I am trying to figure out if there is a way to make the notifications that you receive of scheduled events come up without opening Outlook?
But you may find a third-party utility that'll do it at www.slipstick.com
How can someone using Outlook 2002 send a calendar by e-mail? Not in a pst file but a DOC that can be opened and printed.
you can do a File > Save as a webpage... then send the file or put it on a server where they can access it. It's in calendar format
Or you can export it to Excel. It only exports your appointments though and you can specify the dates.
Anyone know how to send a URL link to a public calendar within outlook 2010? We are using a third party company to host our exchange and we have calendars for each department. If we want to have someone join the calendar, is there a way to just send them a URL that will open the calendar? I hear there is publishing to the internet etc... We rather keep our companies internal information internal. I don't want to publish it to send someone a URL, is there another way to do this?
That link is something I found but I want to know if someone else has a better idea.
I am using microsoft Outlook 2007 , the question is , when I put all my dates ,( birthdays etc ) in to this years Calendar , how can I have all them dates carried over to the next year , or do I have to type them all in again !! .
open Outlook, start calendar & on the tool bar, select actions & new RECURRING event & set it to annual
If you already have the items entered then open them & selct recurring from the toolbar to make them come up each year
The Outlook 2002 Calendar is supposed to integrate data from, among other outlook files, the Outlook Contacts files. I recently imported all my Outlook 98 files into Outlook 2002 but certain data in my contacts files (birthday and anniversary dates) are not reflected in the Calendar automatically (in the form of a reminder) as they were in Outlook 98.
However, if I enter a new contact with a birth or anniversary date the date automatically shows up in the Calendar. Am I missing something obvious, or must I go back and re-enter the birth and anniversary dates of all my contacts?
I cannot access my calendar. I have no problems with my inbox. I have an ipaq that says that it syncs with my calendar and am able to pull up schedules thru that, but not on my desktop. I tried uninstalling Office 2000 and reinstalling it, and get the same problem, my application just freezes up and never loads. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've been racking my brain trying to figure this out.
Welcome to TSG!
Be sure that your settings are correct for your server type. And check that outlook is your default calendar program.
Internet properties on the programs tab.
Ok so I added a few events to my calendar real quick the other day by just clicking the day (in grid view) and typing in the event name. Just now when I went back and fixed the day I hit save and the event isn't visable on the month grid. The event is still there but in order to view it I have to scroll down to the time in day view. Why doesn't the event show up when in month view? all of my events are doing that now, they never used to! AHHH!
Hi Michael, which version of Outlook are you using? In Outlook 2007, when you're in the month view there are radio buttons at the top where you can choose for the Details to be Low, Medium or High. To show the individual appointments (as opposed to all day appointments) you must choose High. Hope that helps.
