I cannot access my calendar. I have no problems with my inbox. I have an ipaq that says that it syncs with my calendar and am able to pull up schedules thru that, but not on my desktop. I tried uninstalling Office 2000 and reinstalling it, and get the same problem, my application just freezes up and never loads. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've been racking my brain trying to figure this out.

Upon entering data on the monthly calendar using Microsoft Outlook 2000 it puts them in alphabetical order. How can I prevent it from doing that?

For instance if I put Jim's Birthday on Oct 5th. Then come back and add Anna's Anniversery under it, it automatically bumps Anna's entry to the top.

I've tried looking thru the menu's but have found nothing as far as sorting info for the Calendar....

Anybody help me?

I have a client that has 5 computers networked, lets call them Mary, Bob, Sally, Front Desk, and Business Office.

Mary, Bob, and Sally all have their individual calendars which they add and delete on from their own office. They have given each other permission to view each other's (Mary, Bob, Sally)calendars.

Mary, Bob and Sally have given the Front Desk and the Business Office Editor permissions.

We are getting duplications. There are mutliple "unread" additions to calendar. Also, one of the calendars half disappeared. (Thank goodness for back up.)

would like to fix the ol2000 calendar display so that it shows the current 30 day month and also shows future months in frame at right along with a task frame.
it can be done by dragging the 30 day calendar frame border to the left to show future months, but the default view is always the full window 'Day/Week/Month' view.
also if i click on a future month date the 30 day calendar frame view changes to a day/hour display and cant get back to 30 day display unless click on that menu view and then lose the future months/tasks frames.
hope this makes sense.
please advise.

hi, my company just migrated to Windows 2000 / mixed mode to full ADS. as part of that we had quite a few issues with individual users and accounts.

my problem is that my Outlook 2000 calendar is now duplicated (i.e. i have calendar, and calendar 1). the problem is that calendar is empty, and calendar 1 has all my info. i can't find a way to merge the two, or to close calendar out.

does anyone have any ideas?

A:outlook 2000 calendar problems

Simple...you won't believe.

Go to View-Toolbars and choose Advanced.
Open Calendar 1.
From advanced toolbar dropdown, choose View "events" from the dropdown.
Click on any item in the left-most-column and hit Ctrl+A to select all (or somehow select all the events).

Hit Copy.
Open Calendar in same view.
Hit paste.
Delete Calendar 1.

When I choose File - Print - OK in Outlook 2000, I now get the error message, "You must specify a valid date. Check your entries in this dialog box to make sure they represent a valid date." The box indicated is the print range start date. Well, there IS a valid date in the start date as well as the end date. And to make sure I have a valid date listed in the correct format, I used the drop-down box and chose a date from the little calendar that pops up. I've tried going over this dozens of times. Still, I keep getting the same error message each time I try to print the calendar. I also tried playing around with the default date formatting in Regional Settings, which had no impact. My system runs on Windows 2000.

I searched the web at length, including the Microsoft support site, and can find no one else that has encountered this. Any solution would make my day.

Hi all,
The company that I work for uses Outlook 2000. We have our own exchange server which serves about 150 e-mail users.

A week or so ago, one of the users reported that old calendar reminders that had previously been dismissed were showing up again. This week another 2 users have the same problem.

Everyday when they start outlook they get reminders for past events that have previously been dismissed. (Some of the reminders are from weeks ago) When they choose to dismiss again, Outlook gives a message telling them that some reminders could not be dismissed and that they may be reminded again.

All 3 of these users also have a Dell Axim PDA that syncs with Outlook. I have searched the MS knowledge base, Microsoft Technet, Dell's Knowledgebase and generally searched the web.
There are a couple of articles on this forum of over users having similar problems but they are for Office 2002.
here is the closet match so far..
http://forums.techguy.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=145420&highlight=outlook+reminders

None of the 3 users use .pst files and the only commonality of the users is that they all have the Dell Axim. (I have replaced the internal battery and made sure that the date/time is correct)

I am lost! Of the 150 Outlook 2000 mail users that we have, aprox 25 of them also use the Axim PDA, the problem is affecting just 3 people.

Thoughts/comments?

A:Outlook 2000 Calendar issues

Are these three the only ones to have dismissed the reminders? Are these reminders coming from their personal calendars or from public ones? They have to have more in common than just the Axim's or everyone would have the same problem.

HI , I am currently using Outlook 2003 at home, and there is Outlook 2000 at work. Current system is to schedule our jobs on the Outlook 2000 at work.

However, I have to work on these jobs and would like to bring that Outlook 2000 calendar from work (maybe by saving the file into my USB flash drive at the end of each day ) to home, so I can keep record and prepare for jobs the next day.

On my Outlook 2003 a home, I have my own calendar, in which I DO NOT want to add entries of the OL2000 from work into, I want to have them as two separate calendars with no relation to each other, and I want to bring home ONLY the calendar, no emails and all other stuff so it won't mess up with my own stuff at home.

I am quite positive that there is a way to achieve this, please help.

One possible solution:

1. On the work computer with Outlook2000, export your Calendar to a PST file.
2. Copy this to your home computer
3. On the home computer with Outlook2003, create a new data file that points to that PST file. With Outlook 2003, the new data file will show up as "Calendar in Personal Folders"

Hello everyone,
I have a user that was was able to share another users calendar until last week. The user in question is on a Server 2000 Active Directory profile running Windows XP on local PC.
The problem is that when user1 that wants to share the calendar sends out the proposal to user2, user2 gets the email body of text but doesn't get the bar at the bottom to accept the proposal.
What I have done so far is:
1) I have ran nfclean.exe to reset Net Folders
2) Re-installed Net Folders
3) Re-installed Outlook and Office
4) Tested to another user and they received the Accept button on the Proposal
5)Set user1 with administrator rights but didn't change the issue

I will be looking at the user1 profile to see if it has become corrupt for some reason.

Thanks for your time in this matter.

When you switch to calendar the first week of the month is the first week displayed, at the end of the month this means you don't see into the future without doing a next month and then Today function. Can I make the Calendar default to the first week being displayed in month view being the currrent week instead of the first week of the month? Also once I change the view, if I go out of Calendar and come back in it is reset, can it remember the last view you had?

Very strange problem. I'm running Outlook 2000 and I synch it with a Blackberry 7230. All functions work as advertised EXCEPT wireless export from handheld to PC only . In other words, the PC will synch (wireless) to the handheld with no problem, but not the other way around. When connected, all is well.

I've re-loaded all the software, tested the handheld with another users profile (worked fine) and I'm out of ideas.

Can anyone suggest what might be the problem?

A:Outlook 2000 Calendar/Blackberry wireless export

Warthog1,

Take a look at the user profile on Exchange that you are having issues with. Compare all the permissions to the users who are working.

Other option is to ensure that the Delete On feature is set for Mailbox and Handheld within the device itself (in Messages/Options, look below horizontal line).

If issues are more than just delete reconciliation, it may be an issue with the MAPI profile on the users PC. Sometimes I've seen corruptions in the original profile it uses.

Hope this is of use.

re-reading the post again, one quesiton - are the users who are working running the same version of Office on their desktops as you? If the issue is only with the calander, it may be the CDO.dll version installed on the BES server.

Any added info would help.

I am running XP Professional and Office 2003. Most of my team is running Outlook 2000. When sending an invite for a meeting only one person actually gets an invite that they can accept.

The remainder receive the XML version of the request - which is "junk" to them. Unfortunately this means I send out multiple emails for each invite and have to rely on someone manually putting it in their calendar.

I'm trying to help a friend who has just installed Office 2016 on her computer, which was recently upgraded from Win7 to Win10.

She's been using Outlook.com and has accumulated a fair amount of email, contacts and calendar appointments. I've managed to get her email to show up by adding it to Outlook 2016 as a POP3 account. I was able to import her contacts into Outlook 2016 from a file called OutlookContacts.csv. Now I'm trying to get her calendar with all its many calendars and appointments into Outlook 2016.

I'm not sure why but the appointments all show up just fine in Mail and Calendar for Windows 10, even though we did nothing to put them there (as far as we know). But she'd like them to appear when she clicks on the Calendar in Outlook 2016 and I can't find any information on how to do that. I've also looked for some kind of Export function in the Mail and Calendar for Windows 10 app but I came up empty.

How do I get her calendar into Outlook 2016?

I can't be the only one who finds Microsoft *awful* at documenting this kind of basic functionality. Millions of people must have tried to do the same thing before me but if there's any information out there on how to do this, it has eluded me so far....

A:Export calendar from Mail and Calendar for Windows 10 to Outlook 2016?

You can manually export calendars from Outlook.com using a round-a-bout method I posted at this link. However, I don't think that's going to help you because what you really want to do is set up Outlook 2016 so that her email, calendar and contacts sync with (and stay in sync with) her Outlook.com account.

Therefore, instead of setting email up as a POP account and then importing calendar, contacts, etc. separately, why not just setup Outlook 2016 to work with her Outlook.com account? I haven't done it with Outlook 2016, only older Outlook versions that used Hotmail Connector, however the following instructions for Outlook 2016 seem fairly straight forward.

https://support.office.com/en-us/art...7-76d60b148b23
If she has two-factor authentication switched on for her Outlook.com account, then you may need to generate an app password from her Outlook.com account, and use that as the password instead of the actual Microsoft Account password.

The Basics
Using Windows 10 Calendar (Outlook) as my primary calendar. The calendar contains two accounts, my Microsoft Live Account and my Gmail Account. In the left panel, I have the Gmail Calendar checked ? the Outlook calendar is unchecked. When I add an event, the default dropdown is my Gmail calendar which is what I want as my default.
My Problem
Events that I add to my calendar show up in both my Outlook calendar and my Gmail calendar as expected ? or maybe not quite as expected. I?ve just discovered that if I add an event several months in the future, it momentarily appears on my Outlook calendar and then is deleted (I see a brief deleted message appear). If I then go directly to my Gmail calendar, the event I just added shows up as expected. As of today (March 24), the cutoff date when the Windows/Outlook calendar automatic deletes begin to occur is September 7 (or 167 days from now). I haven?t yet experimented to see if the cutoff date moves forward every day.
Very strange. Anybody know what?s going on. If you have a similar calendar setup as mine, give it a try and see if your experience is the same. By the way, my Windows 10 system is fully updated.

Hello everybody,
my online outlook calendar does not sync with my Windows Calendar app. I am talking about the online calendar which can be accessed after sign-in here: Prihláste sa do svojho konta Microsoft which for me used to always take all the information from my desktop calendar app, and vice-versa, when I entered an event online, it also appeared in my desktop app. This was useful for syncing with my phone and generally accessing my calendar when not having my laptop on me. This is now impossible for me to do.

Now they don't sync and it's quite annoying, I am getting desperate and thinking of using some other app (if you have tips, tell me. I went through this: Resolve sync issues in Mail and Calendar apps in Windows 10 - Office Support it did not solve the problem. I have updates on (I apply them manually). I have Windows 10 all up to date. and all settings allow calendar to be synced. I checked if I am signed in to the same account, I only have one account in the app and the same one online.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Also, I am adding a picture if it helps, on the left is my calendar, when I access it online, on the right is my Windows App. You can clearly see that there is a lot more on the right. I just want the events to appear in the online calendar as well, as they did before...

I have been using Outlook 2003 for many years then upgraded to 2007, which I've used for years.

Typically I would enter appointments into my calendar in my Outlook 2007 and sync that with my phone....the blueberry or iPhone 3GS....I upgraded to the iPhone4 and have put appointments into my iPhone and synced my iPhone using iTunes (which normally syncs my Outlook calendar as well).

However, I've noticed recently some appt's put into my phone were not showing up on my Outlook Calendar....more snooping and I've just tonight discovered I have another calendar named iSync-Calendar.ics! Well, that's where many of my missing appointments were found!!

So I look closer at my iPhone4 and go to settings>calendar> and look for my default calendar which is iSync-Calendar.ics!!!

I am assuming that somehow that got switched, but used to be "calendar" which was outlook.

I am hoping this doesn't happen in the future..but for now I'm displaying both Calendar and iSync-Calendar.ics on Outlook so I can see all my appointments!!

Glad I caught that tonight as I have double and tripled booked some time slots in the future not seeing them on my iPhone since default calendar was iSynch and NOT calendar and vice versa!!!

Do you think I corrected the problem? Can I sync the iSync appts into or import them into my Calendar??

Then I uncheck the "all day" box, enter the respective time and make my schedule. And then, I guess at the next refresh from the WL feed, all events are back to "all day" :( Does anybody know how to deal with this? I've had a persistent problem for several months since I migrated to a new hard drive. Outlook 2010 calendar is working, but only in Active List view. Any attempt to change to Preview or Calendar view produces the error message, "Could not read the calendar." Changing from Active List to List works some of the time, but inconsistently and sometimes it will hunt for the list and offer the same "Could not read the calendar." error message. This is very frustrating as I find it difficult to manage the list view and am accustomed to seeing the calendar week view.

I use an Android phone and use gmail and Google calendar to see mail and appointments on my phone. So, I've got Google Calendar Sync 0.9.4.1 running. Google Calendar Sync appears to be operating normally. I have a nice calendar view on my phone or web-based from my computer. I have tried adding the Google calendar to Outlook but it is a duplicate of the default calendar and I can't set it as the default. Also, MS Office does not permit me to delete the default calendar.

I don't like any of the work arounds. I just want the calendar to work like it should. Research discloses no real hint of anything that works including running scanpst. Scanpst does a great job at fixing the problem by wiping the whole calendar thanks very much MS.

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this problem.

I am using the calendar wizard in Publisher 2000 to create a 12-month calendar. When I make some formatting changes in one month, the changes are made for all the months. For example, if I change March 5th to font color red, other days in other months also change color or if I change the font size in different days, the changes are made to other dates. I think it’s because of the auto formatting of the tables. But I have tried to remove auto formatting but it hasn’t worked. I want to be able to modify any date (font style, font size, font color, fill color) without it affecting other dates in the calendar.

Thank you.

HI..

Ive got an Outlook 2003 using Boss and a Outlook 2002 using Assistant who are having issues with sharing their calendar. The assistant is inputting appointment data into her bosses Outlook 2003 Calendar.

The issue is : The 2002 user puts in a whole day appointment on a given day (say 10/10/2004). When she opens her bosses 2003 calendar, the same appointment is still a whole day, but it stretches across 2 days (in this case 10/10/2004 and 11/10/2004). Both users use common Regional Settings (Australia).

Outlook 2002 user is at Office XP SP3.
Outlook 2003 user is at Office 2003 Pro SP1
Exchange Server 2000 (sp unknown)

Anyone have any ideas for me?

We are using Exchange Server 2010.

Some staff are using Outlook 2007. They are creating calendars which need to be shared with other employees, most of which are running only Outlook 2003.

All Outlook 2003 users get an email with a link to Microsoft explaining how to open shared calendars. Off07 users get the icon to click and open specified calendar.

Outlook 2003 user then follows MS instructions, and pulls up the Outlook 2007 user's default calendar, then they get this message "Unable to display the folder. The Calendar folder could not be found".

Is there something lacking here? Anyone have any work-a-rounds for Outlook 2003 users to open a shared calendar of an Outlook 2007 user?

We are using Exchange Server
Some staff in our executive branch have brand new laptops (lucky guys) with Office 2007[Of07]. They are creating calendars which need to be shared with other employees, most of which are running only Outlook 2003 [OL03].

Calendar(s) are made, and invites sent for specific calendars to specific groups of users.
IE: Regional Sales Mgr. creates several supplemental "events" calenders he wants to share with his different teams.
Calendars:
---Default, Corporate, Dist1, Dist2, Dist3, Region
Group:
---DistGrp1, DistGrp2, DistGrp3
Permissions:
---Dist1 calender --> DistGrp1
---Dist2 calendar --> DistGrp2
---Dist3 calendar --> DistGrp3
---Region --> DistGrp1, DistGrp2, DistGrp3

All OL03 users get an email with a link to Microsoft explaining how to open shared calendars. Off07 users get the icon to click and open specified calendar.

OL03 user then follows MS instructions, and pulls up the Off07 user's default calendar, with no option to open or even locate any other calender.

Is there something lacking here? Anyone have any work-a-rounds for OL03 users to open a shared calendar (other than the default or main calendar) of an OFF07 user?

Thank you.

Hello,
I've got some problems with a couple of Calendars running under Exchange 2000. They are for meeting rooms. They are being booked as a resource using Outlook 2000 and/or Outlook 2003.
The appointments dissappear regularly. You can book conflicting meetings (which you shouldn't be able to do.)

Has anyone encountered this weirdness before? Outlook help isn't actually being much help.

Any help would be wonderful.

I have put an ActiveX Calendar in an Access 2000 form and want to be able to mark, on the calendar, when someone is out sick or uses vacation leave, etc. If possible, I would like to be able to click on a date and have the various possibilities (sick, vacation, education, holiday) pop up and be able to select which one to enter on that date.

I have created a table with the time off possibilities and have been trying to figure out if there is a way to incorporate an 'event procedure' that will insert the text. No luck yet and I'm feeling pretty frustrated.

Does anyone have any idea if this is possible?

when I go through the import process, it imports nothing at all... No error message, just empty folders.

This happens when I import from the local machine OR the server.

Is it possible the file is corrupt? Is there a way of checking?

I would like to know if there was a way to forward messages based on content to a file outside of Outlook 2000, like Access 2000 in particular, maybe even Excel 2000. I know that a rule can be set up to forward messages to personal folders, but I would like to know if it can be done to an outside file. I didn't know if it had to do with messages being in pst format.

A:Forwarding message from Outlook 2000 to Access 2000

No. Not possible to my knowledge or without VBA.

I think it might be easier for you to set Access to import from the PST file at a given time each day. Of course, you'll have to have exited Outlook at that time or the PST file will report that it is in use.

Several weeks ago I was invited to an event this past weekend as were several hundred other people. I was not planning to attend the event. On Saturday I was doing my weekly system housekeeping, and I went to my Outlook Calendar and I canceled the event. Evidently my personal cancellation went back to everyone else who had been on the original invitation and was perceived as a cancellation of the event. I have been lambasted all over the place because I "canceled the event". What did I do wrong, and am I correct that it was basically a perception issue by those receiving my personal cancellation and somehow thinking that I had canceled the event? Help?

Type a name for the folder.
In the Folder contains list, click Calendar Items.
In the Select where to place the folder list, click Calendar, and then click OK.

Thanks!

This isn't really a fix but it does stop this being a problem. Right-click on the TaskPad header in the Calendar window and select Customize current view, then select Group By. Now group by due date. Then select for only the next seven days to be displayed, tasks with no due date will still be displayed, but under a seperate heading of Due Date None. More than likely, even though she cancelled the meetings, someone or some people she sent them to did not, and the meeting is still in their calendar. They are getting popup notifications about the meeting, and sending a reply saying they won't attend, but when she receives it, it would return an error because it can't find the corresponding meeting in her Calendar.

make sense??

I am just guessing, but have her contact all the people she originally had included in that meeting, and ask them to delete the meeting from their calendars.

I'm currently working out of an office but start in September I'll be working from home. We are looking for a Laptop I can use at home so I can leave the office computer at the office. I use Outlook for my Email, Calendar & Contacts and I really need my new laptop have all the same info on it. The only thing I'm really worried about is the Calendar. I've cannot afford to lose the info I have stored in there and I really would like to be able to access it and update it from both computers. I do have 2 email address that both come to the office computer right now so I could potentially just use one email on each computer. Can anyone help me?! What are my options? I look forward to your replies thank a lot.

A:Help me network my outlook calendar!!

I don't know Outlook and have no clue how to sync its calendar between two computers. If you don't get a satisfactory answer you may be able to use Google calendar and one of its sync options with Outlook. That would allow you to keep the Google calendar and one Outlook calendar in sync; and of course you could access the Google from anywhere, but I don't know how or if you could sync the second Outlook.

You can get the second PC to have the same Outlook info initially by simply copying the appropriate files. I don't know how to keep the contacts and calendar in sync going forward.

For IMAP email accounts there is no problem--by default they stay in sync because the messages are kept on the service's servers until you delete them.

For POP accounts you want to specify that the (incoming) messages stay on the server until you delete them. Delete them only when you know they have reached the other PC or when you don't care if they get there. Sent messages are a bigger issue. The way I handle that is by designating one of my computers as the "main" one; all Sent messages that I want to keep are kept on that machine. For the other machine(s) I set up to automatically include myself on a BCC list. Then when I receive that message on my "main" computer I can move it to the Sent folder.

We have our office outlook file in a particular location where everyone can access it. Yes, only one person can be in it at a time. That is fine. But, apparently during a reinstall that Microsoft had me do for another reason, my calendar stopped pointing to the location of the pst file that I need. I thought that reimporting the data would make Outlook go to that file as its default when I opened it in the future. But that is not happening. I have looked and looked in the menu system and do not see how to change where Outlook goes for its calendar. (which is different that where it goes for my inbox, etc.)

Does anyone know how to do this?

for details, the office calendar is at O:/OfficeCalendar.pst. This file is on my computer and shared with others.

This has been bugging me really bad because I have a huge knowledge in computers and I still don't know what is causing this problem.

The problem I'm having is I'm using the Windows 10 Calendar App and it is synced to my Outlook.com browser through google chrome, please use the image as a REFERENCE.

As you can see from this image, the left side of my screen is the Win10 Calendar app and the right side is the browser. On my LEFT side, I have a Primary Calendar "Outlook" and UNDER it IS ALL my SECONDARY calendars. I created the calendars through the Outlook. Now I CAN'T DELETE any of the JUNK calendars. Simple as that. I can't delete the secondary calendars. I reserached everywhere there HAS to be a WAY..
