Outlook Calendar sharing PROBLEM

Q: Outlook Calendar sharing PROBLEM

I work in a two person office and the calendar program that we use is Outlook. We have another office accross the country and they also use Outlook calendars. My problem is that in our building we had to set up pop and smtp servers for our mail (due to the way this building set up) which means that there is no way to share our calendars since you need to have microsoft exchange server. The other office is able to share since they use the MS exchange server.
Im just wondering if anyone knows of a way around this? I need to be able to share calendars with my boss and not just use his pc when he isnt using it. And it would be nice to share with our other office too. But since we are restricted by the way this building has stuff set up (??? dont ask) Im thinking that the only way around this is to start fresh and get another calendar program that will work for all of us.
Does anyone know of a good calendar program that has a share/delagate feature? It would be nice to find something that I could easily transfer everything that we have in outlook to the new calendar program. Theres about 3000 contacts that will need to be moved as well as emails etc.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks again Microsoft - for another game of monopoly! We wont go there!!! Thanks!

MSN Shared calendars. Create a Hotmail account and you can share calendars. I believe newer version of Outlook allow you to use Passport and share you local Oulook Calendars as web calendars.

We are using Exchange Server 2010.

Some staff are using Outlook 2007. They are creating calendars which need to be shared with other employees, most of which are running only Outlook 2003.

All Outlook 2003 users get an email with a link to Microsoft explaining how to open shared calendars. Off07 users get the icon to click and open specified calendar.

Outlook 2003 user then follows MS instructions, and pulls up the Outlook 2007 user's default calendar, then they get this message "Unable to display the folder. The Calendar folder could not be found".

Is there something lacking here? Anyone have any work-a-rounds for Outlook 2003 users to open a shared calendar of an Outlook 2007 user?

Some staff in our executive branch have brand new laptops (lucky guys) with Office 2007[Of07]. They are creating calendars which need to be shared with other employees, most of which are running only Outlook 2003 [OL03].

Calendar(s) are made, and invites sent for specific calendars to specific groups of users.
IE: Regional Sales Mgr. creates several supplemental "events" calenders he wants to share with his different teams.
Calendars:
---Default, Corporate, Dist1, Dist2, Dist3, Region
Group:
---DistGrp1, DistGrp2, DistGrp3
Permissions:
---Dist1 calender --> DistGrp1
---Dist2 calendar --> DistGrp2
---Dist3 calendar --> DistGrp3
---Region --> DistGrp1, DistGrp2, DistGrp3

All OL03 users get an email with a link to Microsoft explaining how to open shared calendars. Off07 users get the icon to click and open specified calendar.

OL03 user then follows MS instructions, and pulls up the Off07 user's default calendar, with no option to open or even locate any other calender.

Is there something lacking here? Anyone have any work-a-rounds for OL03 users to open a shared calendar (other than the default or main calendar) of an OFF07 user?

Thank you.

My CFO does not want anyone to see his calendar. I've gone through the permissions, there are no delegates and I've unchecked the folder visible. I can still open his calendar from my desk when I test the different settings.

Besides telling him to use a hard copy calendar or palm pilot am I missing something?

On an Exchange Server, using Office 2000 Pro on NT workstations.
edit - tried to open the calendar on a pc that did not have my admin rights and couldn't see it. So all of the above did work, thanks for letting me vent if nothing else.

A:Not Sharing Outlook Calendar

Littlemar, you are his delegate, and you must go to his PC and remove yourself.

I don't have CW version here at home, but I recall that the setting is somewhere under one of the Tools-Options tabs...

You'll see yourself there as a delegate. Perhaps others too?

Delegates have full permission and can even send "on behalf of". They are not given permissions like others are under the permissions tab of a folder.

I have recently upgraded one of my computers from Outlook 2000 to Outlook 2002. I used to be able to share my calendar with other computers on my home network. Since the upgrade, the computer with Outlook 2002 no longer gets or shares calendar information.

Has anyone seen this problem or do you know how I can fix this in Outlook 2002?

Thanks.

The calendar share went out the window with anything above Office 2000. Go to this site and they will verify. Don't think there is a workaround, but I haven't checked lately.

I was wondering if there was a FREE program or add on that would allow a user to automatically share their outlook calendar over a network with another user, without using an exchange server. I have found many products that are around $40 but they seem to share with everyone on the network, and free is always better for something like this.

I have a user (we'll call her User 1) that has access to another user's (we'll call him User 2) mailbox and calendar. User 1 has User 2's mailbox and calendar set up already in Outlook. So User 1 has their own mailbox/calendar and I went in to User 1's Outlook on their computer, went to their calendar, and used the "Open Calendar - From Address Book" to add User 2's calendar to User 1's Outlook. User 1 can see all of User 2's calendar items (appointments, meetings, etc).

My question: Is there any way to set Outlook to remind User 1 of any of User 2's calendar items? For example, User 2 has a meeting at 2:00 today. User 1 can now see that but is there a way to have that pop up on User 1's computer as a reminder (just like how User 1's reminders pop up on their own computer when Outlook is running)?

I am using MS-Office XP in a Peer-to-peer workgroup network environment, Email being handled by my ISP (meaning I have no email server in-house), currently the 5 people office is using Outlook Express6, planning to switch to Outlook because of the other great features such as creating Reminders, appointment/events using the Outlook Calendar.

Question is: is there anyway we can share a global Calender/Appointment database by all 5 people? Currently we are treating the Receptionist PC as a File Sharing central computer, we have individual user file folder reside in that PC, plus other commonly shared folders in that PC for everyone to share, then at night the central PC folders are backup onto CDRW - works great. However I am not sure whether a centralized address book or calendar database in Outlook is a possible solution - can someone shed some idea here for me? Many many thks!

Now I see the calendar sharing is not supported by MS Outlook 2003!!! It says that you need to install Exchange server!

I have been searching on the internet for a free sollution, but I only find applications like OShare and Group products that I need to pay for.

Anyone out there that knows a way around this. Web based is not a sollution, because I sync with my cellphone. I do want to revert back to Office2000 just for this.

Calendar sharing was (mostly) working fine but had trouble sharing out a new user's calendar -- so I had everyone "Stop Sharing" their calendar and start anew, sharing their calendar out to the other 4 users. Messages went out announcing the stop-share and notice-of-availability and all users acknowledge. First and second users starts sharing out ok and others (26 hours later) begin to see his calendar, but the last two seem hugely stalled at the opening screen of Outlook and crash on second mouse-click.

Everyone uses Delivery=Personal Folders, located on each user's C: drive.

Exchange 2000 Server had been delivering internal mail just fine up to then -- now, everyone's 2 user's see a stalled outlook.

What's best way to bring mail/calendars/contacts back to life?

What else can I tell you? --Robert

He is using Outlook 2003. His e-mail address a POP3 e-mail from a different domain. Is there a way to share his calendar out so that people within our network can see what he has scheduled? When I tried to share his calendar out to someone in our company, it just said the his profile was not configured for that. Is there something that he would need to change on his mail server for this to work?

This, to me, is something that should be simple. I use Outlook 2013 and manage a calendar for my church. I want everyone to be able to see it. Fortunately I'm an IT guy, so I've tried a few things:

1) Attempted to share the calendar with a single person. When I right click the calendar in the left pane the option to share is greyed out. I'm the calendar owner, why is this?

2) Sent the calendar as an ICS email attachment using "email calendar." To my knowledge this is only a cached copy of the calendar at the present time and not a proper calendar invite email. Invites can only be sent by clicking "share," correct?

3) Disabled cached exchange mode on the recipient's local Outlook profile.

Is there a share permission on the calendar, my local profile, or my Exchange inbox I need to tweak? I need this person to see the calendar live and it needs to update on his Outlook profile when I make changes to it.

I was wondering if anyone knows what is going on with Outlook.com and the calendar app... My wife has shared several calendars with me. That worked fine... until some days ago. I can't select a shared calendar anymore when adding an event. I only have my own calendar to select. And when my wife wants to unshare me, Outlook.com says it can't because some upgrade is going on. This is happening for several days now. I have also shared a calendar with my wife and she doesn't get the events I add. I do not have the upgrade notice she has. What can we do about this? It is very annoying! Does it have to do with Microsoft renewing the Outlook experience? If so, why are these issues are still there after several days?

Hiya,

I'm doing some work for my Dads office, its a small (at the moment) estate agents with just 3 employees, 1 secretary and 2 main workers. Currently they have 4 PC's all networked through an ADSL router. They have 1 PC each and a ?server? which contains all their documents and all the software that contains their properties for sale which can be accessed from any of the other 3 PCs.

At the moment they each have their own email address which they each download into Outlook 2003 on their own PC. What they want to do is for the secretary to be able to see the 2 workers Outlook calendars and book meetings and appointments for them from her PC. We want to do this properly so that it is easy to add new users in the future if and when the company expands, but does that mean we will have to change to a Outlook and Exchange system? Or can it be done just by storing eveyones calendar on the ?server??

Also they want to have a global address that everyone can access and a personal one for each person on each PC.

I have done a bit of networking so can set up the network shares and access rights and things like that but I have not done anything more complicated than use Outlook and have never set up Exchange. So the more info you can give the better.

I must stress than they want this done properly now so that it will be easy to add users in the future, a ?quick fix? or ?this isn't the best way of doing it, but...? are not what I need

Is this possible?

Im setting this up for a SOHO lan and only need to share the calendar from one computer to the rest, no more than 1 calendar needs to be shared for view only.

Is there way to do this without setting up a fully blown exchange server? Even if it could export it (Automatically is a must) to a webpage that would be fine.

I want a number of people to be able to view and edit a calendar in Entourage on a Mac, but without the burden of having an exchange server.

Here is what I have done in the past on a PC:

Move the data file (I forget exactly what it is called right not in Outlook) from the desktop to a location on the server where everyone has access rights to it.

(On the PCs I used a mapped drive to indicate the location of this shared file.)

Now other people can add that file to a folder so it shows up in the left hand list of folders along with your own email account. and they can choose to switch back and forth between their own calendar and the shared calendar.

It really works quite well with certain limitations. The primary limit is that only one person can be in it at a time. But for a small business where people only need to see the file occasionally, it works well.

My goal currently is to do something like that in Entourage, but it is different enough that I am not sure how to do it. The point is that the boss syncs her Treo with Entourage but is out of the office most of the time. Once she syncs, we want to all make our changes as they arise, us in her Entourage account, with her making necessary changes on her Treo, until she returns. Then we can sync again and begin the next round. Yes, there is the possibility of conflicting appointments, but it is a minor problem in this case.

So, anyone know how to do this on a Mac environment with Entourage rather than Outlook?

I am having a problem with sharing Outlook calendars in a NON-Exchange environment. I have a small non-profit office of 7 workstations and 4 of the user's need to share our calendars as well as a "group" calendar. We are running a brand spanking new environment featuring Windows 7 professional 64-bit, Office Professional 2007 (i.e. Outlook 2007) and using both IE8 and Firefox browsers. I have tried adapting all previous fixes that I could find for Vista/Outlook 2007 (regarding cookies and also running in protected mode when using IE6/7 [Firefox does not appear to have a similar feature]). I sequence thru the request for logon to my Live account, receive a message: "Access to resource denied. If you have signed into and saved your Windows Live ID with a web site, sign out of that Web site, then try this operation again.". We get the same error message when trying to subscribe to each other's calendars. Makes me wish we could afford an exchange server! Arrghhh!

Hi,
I have just signed up to this forum and am totally IT inept.
I am trying to set up a sort of manager / assistant sharing of an inbox and caledar through outlook. However we both only have office 365 individual licence and we dont seem to be able to share in the normal way.
We need to both be able to work from an inbox (which my boss wants to set up using an individual domain name) and the same calendar.
I have been going round and round in circles with this to no avail. Please help.
Thank you.

A:sharing outlook email and calendar office 365 individual

Are using Office 365 for a Business where other users are able to share calendars, etc? It sounds like your saying that you currently only have the Office software license, and not the Online Account portion of the package. Can you clarify? In terms of what I use, GoDaddy sells 3 basic packages. The Online Essentials (just the email account), the Business Premium (Office and the email account), and on a separate page, Office 365 Software (just the software).

You mentioned "an individual domain name". Do you mean that you and another person will be sharing a single mailbox and calendar like "example@company.com"? Does your boss want you two to use a different domain name than the rest of the company?

If the company doesnt currently subscribe to Office 365's Business Email service, then that's where you will want to start. Wherever your domain name is currently living (where you bought it) is where you should start inquiring about purchasing this service. Once you've setup your new email account, you can another person can both have it setup and can both use it, add and delete from the calendar, check and reply to messages, etc.

I have a user receiving the following message from a item that she deleted from her calendar month's ago:
This meeting is not in the calendar; it may have been moved or deleted.

I looked at the calendar and there are no meetings scheduled for that time. She deleted all reoccurring meetings but every week she receives an email stating that one of the participants has declined.

Has anyone ever seen this before? Thanks for the help.

A:Outlook calendar problem.

More than likely, even though she cancelled the meetings, someone or some people she sent them to did not, and the meeting is still in their calendar. They are getting popup notifications about the meeting, and sending a reply saying they won't attend, but when she receives it, it would return an error because it can't find the corresponding meeting in her Calendar.

make sense??

I am just guessing, but have her contact all the people she originally had included in that meeting, and ask them to delete the meeting from their calendars.

I'm trying to help a friend who has just installed Office 2016 on her computer, which was recently upgraded from Win7 to Win10.

She's been using Outlook.com and has accumulated a fair amount of email, contacts and calendar appointments. I've managed to get her email to show up by adding it to Outlook 2016 as a POP3 account. I was able to import her contacts into Outlook 2016 from a file called OutlookContacts.csv. Now I'm trying to get her calendar with all its many calendars and appointments into Outlook 2016.

I'm not sure why but the appointments all show up just fine in Mail and Calendar for Windows 10, even though we did nothing to put them there (as far as we know). But she'd like them to appear when she clicks on the Calendar in Outlook 2016 and I can't find any information on how to do that. I've also looked for some kind of Export function in the Mail and Calendar for Windows 10 app but I came up empty.

How do I get her calendar into Outlook 2016?

I can't be the only one who finds Microsoft *awful* at documenting this kind of basic functionality. Millions of people must have tried to do the same thing before me but if there's any information out there on how to do this, it has eluded me so far....

A:Export calendar from Mail and Calendar for Windows 10 to Outlook 2016?

You can manually export calendars from Outlook.com using a round-a-bout method I posted at this link. However, I don't think that's going to help you because what you really want to do is set up Outlook 2016 so that her email, calendar and contacts sync with (and stay in sync with) her Outlook.com account.

Therefore, instead of setting email up as a POP account and then importing calendar, contacts, etc. separately, why not just setup Outlook 2016 to work with her Outlook.com account? I haven't done it with Outlook 2016, only older Outlook versions that used Hotmail Connector, however the following instructions for Outlook 2016 seem fairly straight forward.

https://support.office.com/en-us/art...7-76d60b148b23
If she has two-factor authentication switched on for her Outlook.com account, then you may need to generate an app password from her Outlook.com account, and use that as the password instead of the actual Microsoft Account password.

The Basics
Using Windows 10 Calendar (Outlook) as my primary calendar. The calendar contains two accounts, my Microsoft Live Account and my Gmail Account. In the left panel, I have the Gmail Calendar checked ? the Outlook calendar is unchecked. When I add an event, the default dropdown is my Gmail calendar which is what I want as my default.
My Problem
Events that I add to my calendar show up in both my Outlook calendar and my Gmail calendar as expected ? or maybe not quite as expected. I?ve just discovered that if I add an event several months in the future, it momentarily appears on my Outlook calendar and then is deleted (I see a brief deleted message appear). If I then go directly to my Gmail calendar, the event I just added shows up as expected. As of today (March 24), the cutoff date when the Windows/Outlook calendar automatic deletes begin to occur is September 7 (or 167 days from now). I haven?t yet experimented to see if the cutoff date moves forward every day.
Very strange. Anybody know what?s going on. If you have a similar calendar setup as mine, give it a try and see if your experience is the same. By the way, my Windows 10 system is fully updated.

Hello,

I opened Outlook Calendar the other day, and the dates which are at the top of each calendar square in the month view are a scrambled mess! They look something like this:
2007200720072007 | 2007 Sep 90012 12Sep92007 | 2007200712125SepSep 12Sep92007|

Does anyone have any idea what is going on here?

Thank you for your help in advance!

Regards,

Jerry

Hello,

I just recently moved and I believe I have changed all the time requirements in my outlook & msn email account. I have Outlook Live... Outlook Syncs everything with my msn email account...

I have "all day events" that are only scheduled for one day... Something missed all that up because now my my one day "all day" events have little clocks on the entry and is spred accross more days that are needed...

If I open up the 'all day event' series the date that I had prevous placed into the event is still the same; however, the event spreads to more days that are needed & that are imputed by me...

I just recently moved into a new time zone... this might be the problem...

does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

However, when I add something to my work calendar and invite myself at my home computer, at home all i get is an email and no ability to accept or decline, and hence, no addition to the calendar. It used to work, but now it doesn't

any thoughts?

I would really appreciate some help with a problem that I have with Outlook 2002 that I did not have with Outlook 2000.

In the calendar, I click on a date to get the "event" box and type the item in the subject line and press "enter". The item in the calendar date box then shows up with "12:00" in front of it rather than with no time. If before pressing "enter", I open the "recurrence" box and close it, then there is no "12:00" but by default the item is repeated weekly with no end date. To get just one event listed on the correct day with no "12:00" I have to put a "1" in the "end after" "occurrence" box.

Can someone please tell me how to set up the calendar so that I don't need this elaborate work around? Many thanks!

Methinks you can set the "default" calendar time for an event. Why not try changing it? Just a thought. I don't have Outlook 2002 on my PC. Why? I HATED IT!!

One of my clients works in an Exchange environment. When she forwards a Calendar entry to another employee, the employee receives a vcalendar attachment that opens as a Calendar entry on their copy of Outlook.

When she sends the same email to me via POP3 email, the attachment is simply a forwarded email message, with the vcalendar text as the email body.

When I forward her a calendar entry, she receives it properly.

Is this an Outlook configuration issue, or an issue of Exchange vs POP3 message processing?

When I make an all day entry, like a birthday for example, and I view the calendar folder for a month, the appointment spans two days - the day of the appointment itself and the day after it, and the box that contains the appointment is bookended by clock icons.

If I open the appointment, click on recurrence, click OK (did not change anything), click Save and Close, the display will appear "normal" -- meaning it spans the day of the event, without the clocks on the sides.

Any ideas on how to correct this?

Thanks.

Using outlook you can view other users calendars over a network depending on that users delegate settings.

for some reason when 1 user tries to view a certain calendar it comes up blank yet everyone else can see it fine, and the user who is having the problem can view everyone else's fine too.

I have tried re-creating her outlook profile and even her windows profile, any ideas??

Hello everybody,
my online outlook calendar does not sync with my Windows Calendar app. I am talking about the online calendar which can be accessed after sign-in here: Prihláste sa do svojho konta Microsoft which for me used to always take all the information from my desktop calendar app, and vice-versa, when I entered an event online, it also appeared in my desktop app. This was useful for syncing with my phone and generally accessing my calendar when not having my laptop on me. This is now impossible for me to do.

Now they don't sync and it's quite annoying, I am getting desperate and thinking of using some other app (if you have tips, tell me. I went through this: Resolve sync issues in Mail and Calendar apps in Windows 10 - Office Support it did not solve the problem. I have updates on (I apply them manually). I have Windows 10 all up to date. and all settings allow calendar to be synced. I checked if I am signed in to the same account, I only have one account in the app and the same one online.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Also, I am adding a picture if it helps, on the left is my calendar, when I access it online, on the right is my Windows App. You can clearly see that there is a lot more on the right. I just want the events to appear in the online calendar as well, as they did before...

I have a user who is trying to print a meeting request from her calendar in Outlook 2007. When she opens the meeting and tries to print, she gets this error:

"There is a problem with the selected printer. You might need to reinstall the printer. Try again, or use a different printer."

This message comes up no matter which printer she chooses (local or network). Oddly enough, when she opens the item within the meeting request, she is able to print that. She is also able to print other items (emails, Word docs, etc.) to all printers with no problems.

Any ideas?? We are new to Office 2007 & this is the first time I've seen this. I was unable to duplicate the problem on my machine.

Thank you.

My husband & I regularly publish & share our calendars so we know we're both doing. It's a great feature in Outlook 2007. However, during the past week I have had this message displayed while in Outlook: "Access to the resource was denied. If you have signed into and saved your Windows Live ID with a Web site, sign out of that Web site, and then try this operation again." There is also a send/receive error: "Task "Internet Calendar Subscriptions" reported error (0x94972eed): Cannot verify or add the calendar to Outlook. Make sure the following is a valid calendar link: webcals://calendars.office.microsoft.com/pubcalstorage/[id number]/[husband's name]"

To add insult to injury there is another annoying Windows Live ID sign in box that periodically pops up with my user name & asking me to put in my password. Of course, when I do it it just comes up again.

Naturally Microsoft has a supposed solution for IE, but I can't find anything on their website for FF.

I have been using Outlook 2003 for many years then upgraded to 2007, which I've used for years.

Typically I would enter appointments into my calendar in my Outlook 2007 and sync that with my phone....the blueberry or iPhone 3GS....I upgraded to the iPhone4 and have put appointments into my iPhone and synced my iPhone using iTunes (which normally syncs my Outlook calendar as well).

However, I've noticed recently some appt's put into my phone were not showing up on my Outlook Calendar....more snooping and I've just tonight discovered I have another calendar named iSync-Calendar.ics! Well, that's where many of my missing appointments were found!!

So I look closer at my iPhone4 and go to settings>calendar> and look for my default calendar which is iSync-Calendar.ics!!!

I am assuming that somehow that got switched, but used to be "calendar" which was outlook.

I am hoping this doesn't happen in the future..but for now I'm displaying both Calendar and iSync-Calendar.ics on Outlook so I can see all my appointments!!

Glad I caught that tonight as I have double and tripled booked some time slots in the future not seeing them on my iPhone since default calendar was iSynch and NOT calendar and vice versa!!!

Do you think I corrected the problem? Can I sync the iSync appts into or import them into my Calendar??

A:Calendar sharing

Jay, if we're talking at home or on a small LAN that does not use Microsoft Exchange Server, it's really not feasible for calendar sharing.

You CAN export the calendar as a PST file, place that on the W, and then File-Open-PST (or whatever description they give).

The problem with this method is that you cannot both have the file opened at the same time, and Outlook does not automatically close it for you. You'd constantly have to remember to open Outlook, open the PST and then close it.

If we're only talking about the coordination of several meetings a month or even a week, you could consider one of the Word document calendars. Now, you can share those files in a manner of speaking--you can both open it at once, but you can't both edit it at once. If you can create yourself a calendar in Excel, you can share/edit at the same time.

If you need further help with any of the options, let me know.

I've had a persistent problem for several months since I migrated to a new hard drive. Outlook 2010 calendar is working, but only in Active List view. Any attempt to change to Preview or Calendar view produces the error message, "Could not read the calendar." Changing from Active List to List works some of the time, but inconsistently and sometimes it will hunt for the list and offer the same "Could not read the calendar." error message. This is very frustrating as I find it difficult to manage the list view and am accustomed to seeing the calendar week view.

I have tried adding the Google calendar to Outlook but it is a duplicate of the default calendar and I can't set it as the default. Also, MS Office does not permit me to delete the default calendar.

I don't like any of the work arounds. I just want the calendar to work like it should. Research discloses no real hint of anything that works including running scanpst. Scanpst does a great job at fixing the problem by wiping the whole calendar thanks very much MS.

I used to enjoy using the outlook to sync tasks with other users over the internet. It appears this feature is no longer supported on newer versions so I have been hunting for an online version. I down loaded this software call 4Teams. It turns out that you cannot do recuring tasks, so I removed it. Afterwards my outlook was only opening every other time. I reinstall/repaired it with the install disk. Still the program showed the additional 4-team button on the toolbar. And I was still having problems. So I totally reinstalled it, and it still showed up. Now it won't open at all.

By the way, when I use Ctrl-Alt-Del to stop it after it locks up for several minutes trying to load, I see two outlook items, one dim the other normal in the end program screen.

I have sent a support reuest to 4-teams but have not heard back from them.

I used to be happy with Works 2002 calendar reminders. They came on at startup without the program being on. Now I have Outlook 2003 and the reminders only work whem the program is on. Does anyone know how to automatically turn them on at startup without the rest of the program.

A:Outlook 2003 calendar reminders don't work without Outlook being turned on.

outlook needs to be up and running.

drag it into the startup folder, reboot.

HI..

Ive got an Outlook 2003 using Boss and a Outlook 2002 using Assistant who are having issues with sharing their calendar. The assistant is inputting appointment data into her bosses Outlook 2003 Calendar.

The issue is : The 2002 user puts in a whole day appointment on a given day (say 10/10/2004). When she opens her bosses 2003 calendar, the same appointment is still a whole day, but it stretches across 2 days (in this case 10/10/2004 and 11/10/2004). Both users use common Regional Settings (Australia).

Outlook 2002 user is at Office XP SP3.
Outlook 2003 user is at Office 2003 Pro SP1
Exchange Server 2000 (sp unknown)

Anyone have any ideas for me?

I tried searching the forum and its possible i have over looked a thread but i couldnt find an answer that would help me.

I have a MS account using a non MS email and on my computer i have outlook 2016 not office 365 just a stand alone version. I also couldnt get this solved in 2013 version.

I can see events in the calendar that get created either at outlook.com or using iphone in outlook the program. I cant add a new event to the calendar however. I also dont see any options for permissions. I can however edit and create using the iPhone without any problem

at outlook.com i have shared the calendar to two emails that are setup using outlook 2016 but i click on the accept option in the email and it says the link has expired even if i do it withing seconds of receiving the email.

any ideas how i can edit the calendar using outlook 2016? thanks!

Several weeks ago I was invited to an event this past weekend as were several hundred other people. I was not planning to attend the event. On Saturday I was doing my weekly system housekeeping, and I went to my Outlook Calendar and I canceled the event. Evidently my personal cancellation went back to everyone else who had been on the original invitation and was perceived as a cancellation of the event. I have been lambasted all over the place because I "canceled the event". What did I do wrong, and am I correct that it was basically a perception issue by those receiving my personal cancellation and somehow thinking that I had canceled the event? Help?

A:Outlook Calendar

I'm not totally sure what you mean by you cancelled the event. However when removing events sent to multiple reciepients through Outlook just right click and delete the event and I will not populate to anyone else.

I've set my options to show task reminders in my Outlook calendar, yet when I create a task with a start and end date, and set a reminder, it doesn't show on my calendar.

Am I doing something wrong?

A:Outlook Calendar

Wow... I didn't know that you could see your Task list on your Calendar... I thought Tasks were seperate from the calendar... two different things...

The task list shows on Outlook Today screen.

Where did you find the option to display them on your calendar?

I have a user that uses the calendar a lot in the current work day mode. She says that in the past it only showed hours 8:00am to 5:00pm, but now it shows everything. I am not aware of a way to limit the hours shown, does anyone have any suggestions. Going into tools >> calendar options and change settings there I haven't been able to do it.

This is outlook 2003 btw.

A:Outlook Calendar

I think if you set the work week to 7 days, that's what it displays. If you set it to 5 days, I believe the hours changehttp://burgetave.com/id17.html
