Outlook recurring appointment reminder problem

Q: Outlook recurring appointment reminder problem

I keep receiving a reminder for an Outlook recurring appointment that no longer exists. I deleted the recurring series some time ago. The message reads as follows:

"Cannot turn off reminder. You may be reminded again. Cannot locate recurrence information for this appointment."

Any ideas on how to turn off this most annoying reminder would be appreciated.

A: Outlook recurring appointment reminder problem

Try to open Outlook with the switch "/cleanreminders"
Syntax would be like this (without quotations):
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Outlook.exe /cleanreminders"

Type that on the RUN command line (Start, Run).

I think it might work if you type only "outlook /cleanreminders"

Hi. I am using Outlook 2003 with the Business Contact Manager installed. The PC is running XP Pro SP3.

The problem I'm having is that the appointment reminder doesn't work. I don't know why because I use Outlook 2003 on 3 computers and this one is the only one that has this issue. Could it be something with the BCM since it's only on this PC?

I saw something on the MS website that said something about the reminder not working if the Outlook installation was set to handle mail through the main system while using the calendar in the Personal folders (.PST) so I made sure to set an appointment in the calendar for both to see which one would work but neither worked. Help?

My PC uses Windows XP and I am using Outlook 2007. In the Calendar Section, I have recently got a "Reminder" which wont be dismissed.

When I DO click Dismiss, I get a message: Cannot turn off the reminder. You may be reminded again. Cannot locate recurrence information for this appointment.

It was an entry to do some extra cover at work that I did for some time, but I deleted a while ago, but don't understand why if the calendar entry has been deleted that the reminder has not!?!

I also sync with an iPhone which of course mirrors the calendar and I suppose at some point the iPhone HAD the calendar entry when the PC did not, but after the sync it should have been deleted to match the PC.

Is there any way I can I get rid of this reminder?

A:Solved: Outlook 2007 Calendar appointment Reminder

Hello Anewor,

Please try the following:

1. Select "Calendar" so that you are viewing the calendar
2. Near "File" at the top of the window click "View" -> "Current View" -> "All Appointments"
3. Locate the appointment that keeps generating the reminder and delete it. Outlook will promp several errors, but just click through them and the appointment should be deleted now.
4. Restart Outlook.

Hopefully this helps.

I like to type appointments directly on the calendar in Outlook 2007. The problem is that the default setting for appointments is for a reminder to pop up which I don't like.

I can certainly open the appointment and change it to no reminder, but this defeats the efficiency of a quick typing on to the calendar. Is there a way to change the default reminder to "none?"

A:Outlook 2010 - Recurring appointment by date

Hi Apache,

Yes, it is possible.

Steps:

1. Open Outlook and click on the Calender to get into Calender View.
2. Right-click on the 1st of a your chosen month, and select the New Reccuring Appointment option
3. You can now edit the finer details of the appointment.

Refer to the image as shown below. Post back here if you need more help with this.

I take care of all my father-in-law's medical appointments, which are numerous. I have a problem keeping tabs of them. Anyone know of any software where an appointment can be placed, with some type of alarm that reminds you of an upcoming appointment. I don't mind having one that runs in the background, and I don't mind paying a reasonable price for one. I have Microsoft Office 2003 but have found nothing there that will work.there I appreciate your suggestions and assistance.

Could someone please suggest an offline appointment reminder program for personal use? I do not want an elaborate program that synchs with my email or cell-phone; just something that will pop-up a reminder on my desktop, two days before a dental appointment and maybe the morning of the appointment. I would enter all appointments manually. It would be nice if it kept a long-term record of my appointments after the due dates.

I would hope there would be free software for this purpose, as there is for many other purposes.

One of my clients works in an Exchange environment. When she forwards a Calendar entry to another employee, the employee receives a vcalendar attachment that opens as a Calendar entry on their copy of Outlook.

When she sends the same email to me via POP3 email, the attachment is simply a forwarded email message, with the vcalendar text as the email body.

When I forward her a calendar entry, she receives it properly.

Is this an Outlook configuration issue, or an issue of Exchange vs POP3 message processing?

I have a problem with appointments on Outlook 2003: User A sends me an appointment. I accept and the appointment appears on my calendar and the appointment message is automatically deleted from my Inbox. Fine so far. User A sends me the same appointment a few days later. The message says that I have a conflict on my schedule. If I accept the appointment, two (2) appointments reading the same appear in my calendar. If I delete the message from my Inbox, the original appointment disappears from my calendar. What am I doing wrong? The Outlook Help files are, as usual, no help at all.

Windows 2000, Outlook 2003, Exchange.

This problem concerns my father's laptop which runs on Windows XP Home SP3 and has Microsoft Outlook 2007 installed on it. I think my father updated from Outlook 2003 to 2007, and from the very start (since he has been using 2007), he has been getting the following message on opening the program:
"There was a problem reading one or more of your reminders. Some of the reminders may not appear."
My father tried deleting all the reminders, then he tried using a program feature called clean switch or something, and nothing has worked.
Does anyone know what's going on and what can be done to solve this problem? Thank you in advance for your time and answer(s).

I just imported a large PST file (exported from my old computerís Outlook 2003 Inbox folder) into Outlook 2010. I ran the Inbox Repair Tool on it before importing it to make sure it was error-free. But now over 6,000 reminders are demanding my attention. Oddly, only some of them are actual old calendar items -- some are Contacts, and many are simple filenames (e.g., C:\\WINDOWS\Desktop\etc.).

I canít get the reminders to go away. No matter what I do (Dismiss All, Dismiss individually, close dialog box), Outlook hangs up for a minute or more (Not Responding). When I do regain control, it's only for a short time before it stops responding again, and eventually the reminders dialog pops back up and I'm right back where I started.

Things I've tried to no avail:

Running Outlook with both the /CleanReminders and /ResetFolders command line switches.
Running the Inbox Repair Tool on the merged PST. Errors were found and repaired, but it didnít fix the reminder problem.

This problem has rendered Outlook virtually unusable, and Iím stumped. Anyone have any suggestions?

I have recently bought a new laptop with Office for Small Business 2003. When using Outlook, when I receive an email/invitation to a meeting from my boss or the secretary, I accept the invitation and the meeting posts to my calendar, but posts as a recurring meeting until the end of time. I am NOT making it a recurring meeting and the invitation is not for a recurring meeting, but it automatically defaults to make the meeting recur once per week forever and ever. I have tried researching this on microsoft.com and in Outlook Help, but I can't seem to figure out what the problem is. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

Hi all, I am using Outlook 2007.

I am trying to arrange my calendar for certain dates and days each month.

Example, I have to complete a task on the 10th of each month (easy to do ), however, if the 10th falls on a Saturday or Sunday, I need to complete the task on the Friday before (not so easy ). Is there some way to set recurring events/appointments in this way, so that Outlook will automatically put the task into Friday, if the recurring date is a weekend day?

Hi Guys,

is it possible for the calender in Outlook to automatically search for the next available appointment time rather than have to search manulally. I am looking at using the calender to show me when a room is booked.

Many thanks

Gogs

A:Next available appointment - outlook

Not really. You could just try to book the room with the time you want and if it is set up to automatically reject conflicts it will deny the request. There is a "Schedule" feature in the newer versions of Outlook that let you at a glance look at anyones or a collective group of schedules for anyone or thing in an Exchange setting.

I need some help here....
I have a user who, when she opens Outlook 2000, she is set up to view her mailbox, as well as our President's. Everything is fine, except that when ANYONE sends an Appointment Request to the President, it goes directly to the assistants Inbox and the President never sees it at all. If the assistant accepts the requsts, it will THEN show up on the Presidents calendar, but never in his Inbox. I believe I've checked all the Rules on both sides, and haven't found anything there....Any ideas? Please?
And yes, we are running Exchange (5.5).
Thanks.

A:Outlook Appointment Requests

Needajob,

Check the delegates and permissions for both and the profile for the President. The admin has permission to view and accept the President's meeting requests. The President has his profile set so he doesn't even see the request just the meeting acceptance in his calendar. Hope this helps.

I have a user running Windows XP and Outlook 2003 on an Exchange Server. Generally everything runs fine. He has a problem where he scheduled a recurring meeting to happen weekly between a certain time period. He sent this request out to several other employees who have accepted. The meeting shows up on their calendars but does not show up on the organizors calendar. Obviously, the meeting had to have been created as it shows up on the invitees. The organizer says he did not delete it from his calendar. Other he meetings he schedules show up fine on his calendar. Is it possible there is a setting or something he clicked inadvertantly to cause this recurring meeting not to show on his calender?? Or is it just a weird bug in the program?

Hi,
a few weeks ago I reported that I couldn't open any hyperlinks in Outlook 2010 and some kind soul directed me in the way of Fixit 50388 which sorted it out. Or so I thought. A week later the problem was back and was fixed again and so on only now its twice a week ...and I'm getting tired of Mr Fixit.
Anyone got any idea why this is happening?
Even better got any idea how to stop it permanently?
To add a bit of confusion, once fixed, Outlook opens the hyperlinks in IE which I never use, and the system is set up for Firefox to be the default browser for everything. I can't find where to change the default for opening hyperlinks. It's a big problem for me because I use Lastpass to log into everything, and it's all set up for FF. If Outlook opens everything in IE then Lastpass is useless, or sometimes worse - it works so fast it sometimes has tried to log onto a site 3 times before I realise and pull its plug - by them I am shut out all together and have to resubscribe! Also most of my password sare ultrasecure gobbledygook which is fine for LP to remember, but if I have to input them by hand it takes ages and leads to mistakes.
Oh joy! I know I could transfer all the passwords over to IE also, (this is supposed to be automatic but doesn't work for me) but would be hideously tedious and open to a legion mistakes.)
So help please!
BB

Hello,

The boss wants to track his subordinates work on projects in his outlook calendar from a Excel Spreadsheet. I was looking/hoping that there was something "automated" that I could do that will remind him when a project is coming due and then another one on the due date. Was looking for an outlook new appointment (all day event) to be placed on his calendar to serve as that reminder.

I started to do this one by one but he now wants me to see if this could be automated.

Thank you!

Hi,

I am an extremely basic user who has managed to get a basic macro together through multiple web searches and am now stuck...

I have dates entered into the following columns in excel: 14,15,16,26,27,28

I have managed to make the macro create appointments for 14,15,16 but not the rest. Also, every time i run the macro it creates a new appointment regardless if one already exists. I saw on this forum about adding a word to another column which the macro searches for and if found doesnt create a new appointment - or something to that extent. Here is what i have:

Sub POATEST()
' Create the Outlook session
Set myOutlook = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")

' Start at row 7
r = 7

Do Until Trim(Cells(r, 1).Value) = ""
For Each cell In Range(Cells(r, 14), Cells(r, 16))
If cell.Value <> "" Or 0 Then

' Create the AppointmentItem
Set myApt = myOutlook.createitem(1)

' Set the appointment properties
myApt.Subject = Cells(r, 1).Value & " " & "Update Due"
myApt.Start = cell.Value
myApt.categories = "Yellow Category"
myApt.ReminderSet = True
myApt.Body = "blah blah blah"
myApt.Save
End If
Next cell
r = r + 1
Loop
End Sub

Please can someone assist by:
1. making it apply for all the columns originally mentioned
2. making it search if an appointment for that item (ie that row) exists - if not, create appt, if so, do not create appt and insert "Yes" in column 29

In outlook, when creating a appointment and look at the print preview (or when we print), the appointments donít look the same.

In case A (the case I want to happen on every computer), we see the whole appointment, ďmulti-line viewĒ.

In case B (the problem), we just see a part of the line (the lineís cut), itís single-line.

See:

Case A (the OK situation):
Case B (the problem):
I uninstalled Office + reinstalled it and the problem occurs again. On the same Exchange account, on two different computer, I can get the Case A on one computer and the Case B on the second. So I guess itís not Exchange related.

We use Windows XP Pro SP2 and Office 2003 SP3.

So my guess itís NT account related or an option in Outlook that I overlooked the 10 times I checked.

Can someone help me here?

I just installed Outlook 2007 on my computer. Everything seems to work properly with one exception. When I attempt to email an appointment I create in the calendar view, the email message goes to the Outbox but just stays there. Other email messages go out without any problem. Actually I noticed that if I edit a calendar item I created in Outlook 2002 before I upgraded to 2007 and send this updated item, it gets sent.

I am guessing there is some formatting issue/option I have overlooked.

I am able to receive calendar appointments I receive from email. They get scheduled in my 2007 calendar properly.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

NOTE: I installed the Office 2007 Enterprise version but am NOT connected to an Exchange server.

Okay - this is the weirdest thing! I have an appointment that keeps reoccurring every 2 hours, and it tells me that I have an appointment at 4PM on December 31st, NINETEEN SEVENTY NINE!!! My computer wasn't even BORN in 1979!! I have tried everything I can think of to make this go away, but it won't let me delete it. By-the-way, when I look at the reoccurance screen, it says once per week - so why does it come up every two hours? How strange is this?!?!?

Many kudos to anyone who can answer this one!

Hi

I would like to be able to allow the user to double-click on [NextApptDate] field on my db which would then open a new Outlook appointment with the following information transerred across:

Subject = [ClientID], [Forenames], [Surname]
Start date = [NextApptDate]
Start time = [NextAppTime]
End date = [NextApptDate]
End time = [NextApptTime]+1/2 hour
Reminder = 15 minutes

I am partially there and have succeeded in getting a new Outlook Appointment to open on double-click with the following:

Private Sub NextApptDate_DblClick(Cancel As Integer)
On Error GoTo StartError
Dim objOutlook As Object
Dim objItem As Object
'Create a Microsoft Outlook object.

I am running Windows XP (all recommended updates included) and Outlook 2003.

The problem is that when I want to add a new appointment to Calendar, as soon as I hit Save and Close, Outlook closes down and sends the error report to Microsoft.

The rest of Outlook works fine.

I do not run any other email programs on this computer.

I have tried MS support to no avail. Any ideas??

PS I have noticed that I do not have the option for Time Zone (have the tab but nothing else) in the Date/Time part of Control Panel. Maybe this is a problem?

I just loaded 2007 on my laptop and then discovered i also had this issue in 2003. We arent sure if it is a windows profile issue or an exchange profile issue BUT...
i went to a date a month out. I right clicked and chose a new appt. The window popped up and the date was todays date, no matter when i select a date, it defaults to today's date. no one else has this issue.
it gets weirder. I just click on the calendar day and start to type in a new appt. it not only doesnt allow me to extend the time beyond 30 minutes, a reminder window pops up telling me that i have the appt in 5 minutes...no matter which date i select. and the appts dont show up. HOWEVER, if i open OWA, everything is perfect, the date is correct and all of the "test" appts i created in the full version of outlook show up. it also seems to work if i am checking another person's calendar.
I am stumped. i have tried it on computers i have never logged into and it does the same thing so it isnt a little nugget saved somewhere, it has to be a profile issue but which profile and has anyone heard of this before?

On upgrading from Outlook 2003 to 2007 the calendar view now includes the meeting organiser in the calendar entry. Worse still the organiser is automatically generated by Outlook from the profile of whoever makes the diary entry and quite often this is not the person who owns the meeting.

This creates a very cluttered view of the appointments and distracts from the purpose.
The weekly and Monthly views are impacted by this.

Can anyone please describe how to modify/ remove elements that show in the appointment details especially the "Meeting Organiser Field"?:

Hi
Strange one - If I go to my calendar in Outlook and invite attendees to a meeting that goes from lets say 9 to 9:30 - the recipients receive the invite, but the times are changed to 10 to 10:30. I've double checked and tried it many times with the same outcome.
What can this be??
Thank you!!

A:Solved: appointment time changes on invited attendees in outlook

Hi mchale, welcome to TSG.

Sounds like maybe you have a different time zone option set than they do. Try going to Tools/Options/Preferences and clicking "Calendar Options". Under Advanced Options click "Time Zone" and see if there are any differences in the time zone or in the daylight savings time option. Hope that helps.

Hi all,

Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions. I often schedule appointments with customers by sending an Outlook appointment request. What I have found is that Outlooks defaults all appoints to be "recurring" weekly with no end date. I find this very annoying and it is even difficult, sometimes impossible, to remove the recurrence. Does anyone know of a way to change the default to be one-time events? I've searched the Outlook help menu with no luck.

Thanks,

Hello,

I'm gradually learning VBA for Outlook 2003, which we still use at work. I can successfully create a custom command bar (and buttons) in the main Outlook window, but I want to have it associated only with an open appointment (the buttons are to run code specific to an appointment). I think I need to have the code attach it to an open Appointment Inspector, but I don't have the necessary skill to set this up. I'd be really grateful if anyone could point me in the right direction and save the frustration!

Many thanks.

Update OK - I've now worked out how to use VBA to create the command bar and buttons in an open Appointment Inspector window. I can get the code to run by using F5 from the VB window, but I still need the code to express, "Automatically run this subroutine each time an appointment inspector window opens."

Any help gratefully received!

Hi there,

I use MS Office Live Small Business for my website and email. I use Outlook to manage my email on my computer, connecting to Office Live with Outlook Connector. Till now, I have not used the online Office Live calendar, I've simply used the default Outlook calendar on my computer. Today, though, I received a meeting request from a client. I "accepted" the meeting and checked in my calendar to make sure it had recorded it, but could not see it. I eventually found it in my online Office Live calendar.

So now I have two active calendars, which I don't want. Can I tell Office Live to record appointments to my Outlook default calendar? Or would I be better off switching to the online Office Live calendar? If I do the latter, is there a quick and easy (!) way to transfer all my appointments from my default Outlook calendar to the online version?

(One reason for wanting to use only one calendar is that my HTC smartphone will only sync to one calendar, so it doesn't pick up any appointments on any other calendar.)

Sorry about the long-winded question. Help and advice will be gratefully received.

Good Afternoon,

I'm quite stuck trying to fix my code. I've scoured the internet looking for similar questions, but to no avail. I am trying to have excel create appointments in the outlook calendar and be able to run the macro multiple times without have duplicate appointments.

I could run my macro and create an appointment, which worked fine, but there was no routine to check if the appointment already existed. So I would have multiple appointment alerts for the same appointment if I ran the macro more than once. (If I were to add something and run the macro again to keep everything up to date).

So I tried to add a loop checking first the date of the appointment then the title (subject). However, now, I am getting the "Object doesn't support this property or method" error when I run the following code.

If anyone could help me with what the error refers to specifically in my code or any code I need to add or take out to make my loop work I would really appreciate it. Thank you very much in advance.

I am having an issue with calendar reminders in Outlook on Exchange. I am getting an error message of "Problem reading one or more reminders, some reminders may not appear. Can not locate recurrence information for the appointment"

I did a goggle search on the error and here is what I've tried so far:

I tried the /cleanreminders & resetfolders switches
Verified that the calendar is not pointing to a personal folder
Turned off then reset the reminders back on
Deleted the profile and re-created it
Created the profile on another computer using an admin account same error occurred

Some fixes indicated that a recurring reminder might be causing the issue. Viewed all of the recurring reminders and all of them were viewable. The only issue I could find was that some of them had a year end date of 4005. I was able to view those reminders - no problems.

Any thoughts, suggestions would be great. Thanks.

Firstly I'd like to say that I'm well aware that you can turn off reminders in outlook for when you're creating appointments IN outlook. My issue comes that my outlook calendar is loaded by a company program that creates the reminders regardless of what settings i have in outlook and i can't make the program stop. i have over 75 appointments a week and its a huge hassle turning off the reminders one by one. Is there anything I can do to to run a script to remove these reminders once a week? It's driving me nuts because my phone is buzzing all the time and my laptop is always popping up reminders.

A:Setting Outlook Default Reminder Time

Hi Don,

I remember spending some time discussing this very same issue with a collegue a while ago and unable to change the 18hrs; however 2 points:

1. If my working day starts at say 08:30 and I have an all day meeting, then I want to be reminded the day before so that I don't turn up late; 18 hrs is a reasonable reminder time to ensure I receive it during the previous working day. As much as maybe 12 or 14 hrs would be nice I don't know how to do that.

2. If you want a zero reminder time then just clear the reminder tick box when you set up the calender item.

Also, the inbox displays previous email messages, but we cannot open them. It says "can't open this item. The operation failed." Hi All,

I use MS Office Outlook 2007 calendar to remind me about routine things like backups, data saves, periodic tax payments etc.

Recently I have noticed that I sometimes don't get reminded about these events. When I realise that this has happened, I open the item in Outlook and find that the "Reminder" field has changed from "0 minutes" (which would give me a reminder at the time the event was set for) to "none" (which gives me no reminder at all).

Can anyone suggest why this might be happening, and how to cure it?

In Outlook 2007 Calendar, the default reminder time is 15 minutes. That is, Outlook will remind you of each appointment 15 minutes in advance.

In Tools\Options..., I've tried to set the default reminder time to a shorter interval. But no matter what I set it to--10 minutes, 12 minutes, 5 minutes--Outlook keeps reminding me of each appointment 15 minutes in advance.

In Tools\Options..., there's a checkbox called "Default Reminder:" Whether I check it or leave it unchecked has no effect on the reminder time either--Outlook keeps reminding me of each appointment 15 minutes in advance.

Any ideas what could be happening here?

Hi Everyone!

This is my first post here. I need your help in developing a mechanism to send an automated outlook mail, when the due date of a project is 7 days away from the current date. The script should preferably run automatically every time the PC is running. without the excel file necessarily open.

In the attached excel file, An email should go of to -email address (Col. D), with subject "Project (Col. B) is due on Due date(Col. C)", and body "Dear Name(Col. A), please update your project status".

Also, the script should put a check mark on Reminder sent column (Col. E) after the mail is sent, the script should also check if the value of the cell is blank before sending email.

I have scoured the forum for similar problems, and although I found a number of of threads,I am not proficient enough in VBA to modify them to my needs.

I'd really appreciate any help,

Thanks

How can I do what eVite does: Insert this event into your calendar??

How can I send an email from Outlook to someone with such an action-button??

I want the other person to Not have to (re)enter the date & time of Appointment.

I would like the button to (when clicked) insert the Appointment into Outlook, GCal or any other calendars possible.

CAN THIS BE DONE? What what I have to do? I was a programmer 30 years ago, but I do not know VB or anything like that.

Thank you iun advance for your time. I have read your posts and you folks seem to be really helpful with your precise instructions and understanding of problems posted in the posts. All the best!

A:"Insert Appointment to Outlook"

I may be a little off but I believe there is an "invite others" option that will email it to them and they can accept it or decline it. Accepting it usually will insert into their calendar. At least it does with us.

A couple days ago I downloaded some web-based email into outlook 2003 on a brand new computer (w/ XP Pro which I'm using for the 1st time). Now every two minutes a spammed email arrives dated july 7th from the same person. Not only does it rapidly fill my inbox, a fading popup of the email arrives on my screen each time. It?s maddening and I can?t seem to make it stop. I?d be grateful for some help. Thanks.

If you have OFFICE 2003 you can right click on the email and and add sender to a block senders and/or junkmail list.

Hi everyone,

Just started using Outlook 2003. I imported ICalendar files from my Google calendar which included recurring events.

I noticed that recurring event reminders are not popping up. I tried creating a new reminder, thinking maybe the imported items were the issue. No pop up. If I create a one-time event, I get the reminder without issue.

I have found several forums with people complaining of this issue. I have tried all the suggested fixes (and I've seen on other forums that these fixes sometimes don't work for people as they didn't for me). Here's what I've tried to no avail:

1) Detect and repair
2) Cleanreminders switch
3) Resetfolders switch
4) Confirmed that popup display is checked.

I've resorted to dragging the calendar items into "tasks" and getting my reminders that way. Recurring tasks DO popup as they should as do, again, single-event reminders on the calendar. Birthdays, recurring appt's, etc. are a no go, though.

I'm about ready to go back to Google Calendar with GMinder! Ack!

I'm using Outlook 2003, Windows 7 on an HP desktop.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi,

I've been dealing with a strange problem with recurring outlook appointments and can't find any information about it. I wondered if anyone could help.

It presents in 2 parts...

1. A recurring appointment was set up in Jan this year to run until the end of the year. Whenever you open a future occurrence of this appointment, regardless of the date, the start/end date shows the date the back in Jan when the app. started. These were all blank appointments for people to fill in as they get the details, but you have to manually adjust the dates or it tries to save the app. back to the first slot in Jan.

2. Some of these appointments are showing as Discussions rather than Appointments. The normal fields for start/end date/time aren't there. At the top it says "Post to: Microsoft Office Outlook Embedded Message" but I can't find out how to do it purposefully never mind change it back to an Appointment so that times can be adjusted.

Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Gut reaction to this would be to backup the outlook files, uninstall it and reinstall. You could also look at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/ph/2520?sid=69 and follow any appropriate links you might find there.

I am trying to setup a monthly recurring task (in 2007 Outlook) for some of my staff. In short, I am looking to have a task reminder delivered on the 1st of the month for a task that is due on the 14th.

Setting up the recurring task is easy enough, but the only area where I see that I can add a reminder is under the follow up flag. However, this does not allow for me to setup a recurring reminder (just a one-time reminder is all I see).

Can anyone help me out?

A:Setting Up Recurring Task Reminders in Outlook

I've never tried that. If I have a recurring item I want a reminder for, I make a calendar appointment for it and set the reminder there. Because (to me) a task IS a reminder. Would setting up two recurring tasks work for you? On the first of the month a task appears entitled "Reminder - Do your task on the 14'th" And on the 14'th you have the second task titled, "Do this Thing" (for example)

Greetings!

I use Outlook 2002 here at work. Assuming my work week is Monday thru Friday, how can I set an appointment to recur on the sixth business day of each month? For example, the sixth business day of this month (April, 2007) is Monday, 4/9, next month's is Tuesday, 5/8, and June's is Friday, 6/8. When I go into the Appointment Recurrence setup screen, I can see the option to select the first, second, third, fourth, and last weekday; but not an option to select the sixth weekday.
Besides doing this manually, is there a way to set this?

Thanks!

Hello,

I am trying to find out if Outlook 2007 has it built in where I can setup an outgoing email to be sent to the same person (or people) everyday at the same time everyday? Can anyone confirm if this is possible and if so, point me in the right direction?

So I want to send this email to [email protected] every day at 4am with no end date

"Please remove your empties"

Possible?

When I was using iCloud (I stopped because it gave me too many headaches) I deleted a recurring event and now I keep getting hundreds and hundreds of Appointment Series deletions showing in my Deleted folder.

If I do a search for one of the words in the appointment name, then delete all those items from the Deleted folder, they are not deleted and simply reappear.

Every once in a while, I have to go to my Deleted folder to find something but my deleted emails are scattered amongst these hundreds of Appointment Series deletions.

I would sure appreciate your help!!

Thanks so much.....Richard
