Q: 2007 Outlook Calendar + iSync-Calendar.ics

I have been using Outlook 2003 for many years then upgraded to 2007, which I've used for years.

Typically I would enter appointments into my calendar in my Outlook 2007 and sync that with my phone....the blueberry or iPhone 3GS....I upgraded to the iPhone4 and have put appointments into my iPhone and synced my iPhone using iTunes (which normally syncs my Outlook calendar as well).

However, I've noticed recently some appt's put into my phone were not showing up on my Outlook Calendar....more snooping and I've just tonight discovered I have another calendar named iSync-Calendar.ics! Well, that's where many of my missing appointments were found!!

So I look closer at my iPhone4 and go to settings>calendar> and look for my default calendar which is iSync-Calendar.ics!!!

I am assuming that somehow that got switched, but used to be "calendar" which was outlook.

I am hoping this doesn't happen in the future..but for now I'm displaying both Calendar and iSync-Calendar.ics on Outlook so I can see all my appointments!!

Glad I caught that tonight as I have double and tripled booked some time slots in the future not seeing them on my iPhone since default calendar was iSynch and NOT calendar and vice versa!!!

Do you think I corrected the problem? Can I sync the iSync appts into or import them into my Calendar??

I can't get the popup reminders for the calendars to work. Neither in the Metro calendar nor in Outlook.

I also can't make them synchronize.

Does anyone know?

Do sound alerts exist at all in Windows calendars or just pop ups if any?

The Basics
Using Windows 10 Calendar (Outlook) as my primary calendar. The calendar contains two accounts, my Microsoft Live Account and my Gmail Account. In the left panel, I have the Gmail Calendar checked ? the Outlook calendar is unchecked. When I add an event, the default dropdown is my Gmail calendar which is what I want as my default.
My Problem
Events that I add to my calendar show up in both my Outlook calendar and my Gmail calendar as expected ? or maybe not quite as expected. I?ve just discovered that if I add an event several months in the future, it momentarily appears on my Outlook calendar and then is deleted (I see a brief deleted message appear). If I then go directly to my Gmail calendar, the event I just added shows up as expected. As of today (March 24), the cutoff date when the Windows/Outlook calendar automatic deletes begin to occur is September 7 (or 167 days from now). I haven?t yet experimented to see if the cutoff date moves forward every day.
Very strange. Anybody know what?s going on. If you have a similar calendar setup as mine, give it a try and see if your experience is the same. By the way, my Windows 10 system is fully updated.

I'm trying to help a friend who has just installed Office 2016 on her computer, which was recently upgraded from Win7 to Win10.

She's been using Outlook.com and has accumulated a fair amount of email, contacts and calendar appointments. I've managed to get her email to show up by adding it to Outlook 2016 as a POP3 account. I was able to import her contacts into Outlook 2016 from a file called OutlookContacts.csv. Now I'm trying to get her calendar with all its many calendars and appointments into Outlook 2016.

I'm not sure why but the appointments all show up just fine in Mail and Calendar for Windows 10, even though we did nothing to put them there (as far as we know). But she'd like them to appear when she clicks on the Calendar in Outlook 2016 and I can't find any information on how to do that. I've also looked for some kind of Export function in the Mail and Calendar for Windows 10 app but I came up empty.

How do I get her calendar into Outlook 2016?

I can't be the only one who finds Microsoft *awful* at documenting this kind of basic functionality. Millions of people must have tried to do the same thing before me but if there's any information out there on how to do this, it has eluded me so far....

A:Export calendar from Mail and Calendar for Windows 10 to Outlook 2016?

You can manually export calendars from Outlook.com using a round-a-bout method I posted at this link. However, I don't think that's going to help you because what you really want to do is set up Outlook 2016 so that her email, calendar and contacts sync with (and stay in sync with) her Outlook.com account.

Therefore, instead of setting email up as a POP account and then importing calendar, contacts, etc. separately, why not just setup Outlook 2016 to work with her Outlook.com account? I haven't done it with Outlook 2016, only older Outlook versions that used Hotmail Connector, however the following instructions for Outlook 2016 seem fairly straight forward.

If she has two-factor authentication switched on for her Outlook.com account, then you may need to generate an app password from her Outlook.com account, and use that as the password instead of the actual Microsoft Account password.

Hello everybody,
my online outlook calendar does not sync with my Windows Calendar app. I am talking about the online calendar which can be accessed after sign-in here: Prihláste sa do svojho konta Microsoft which for me used to always take all the information from my desktop calendar app, and vice-versa, when I entered an event online, it also appeared in my desktop app. This was useful for syncing with my phone and generally accessing my calendar when not having my laptop on me. This is now impossible for me to do.

Now they don't sync and it's quite annoying, I am getting desperate and thinking of using some other app (if you have tips, tell me. I went through this: Resolve sync issues in Mail and Calendar apps in Windows 10 - Office Support it did not solve the problem. I have updates on (I apply them manually). I have Windows 10 all up to date. and all settings allow calendar to be synced. I checked if I am signed in to the same account, I only have one account in the app and the same one online.

Also, I am adding a picture if it helps, on the left is my calendar, when I access it online, on the right is my Windows App. You can clearly see that there is a lot more on the right. I just want the events to appear in the online calendar as well, as they did before...

Is there is a way to designate a Shared Outlook Calendar (that is used as our company-wide calendar) as an individual's default calendar. We are set up with a Microsoft XP Exchange Server.
The goal is to have the company-wide calendar download to a Blackberry Curve as the user's default calendar. Right now he sees his own calendar which he does not need. We have the Blackberry Desktop Manager installed on his network computer.

It seems that Google?s sync program just syncs it's calendar with the default Outlook calendar.

Does anyone know if there is any way to just sync one particular calendar with Google's? Not Outlooks default calendar. I don?t want all my personal info going over to a ?group Google? calendar.

I need a calendar program for my computer since I recently upgraded my computer with student office 2007, which doesn't have outlook like the 2003 edition. Can I have any suggestions? I don't want a web based program that needs that internet to function.

I have the syntax for copying the entry to another public folder but am wondering if anyone has a mock up of what the destination code would like to copy it to another mailbox via VBA?

I'm trying to find a way to add a Outlook Web Access calendar to Outlook 2007, is there any? Something similar to Internet Calendars in Outlook 2007 except I can't find an iCal feed in OWA.

My iPhone is able to use OWA to display the calendar on my phone.

I use Outlook and have an IMAP account. My calendar appointments have disappeared from the main view but I can see them on my iPhone. If I change the current view to 'all appointments' they are listed but when I go back to 'Day/Week/Month' view it is empty. I can only see items in these views: All Appointments; Active Appointments; By Category and Outlook Data Files. I can also log into my calendar in iCloud and see the same appointments there. I have run scanpst to fix any errors but still can't access appointments on PC. Any ideas?

I am using 2007 with MS Exchange server. is there a way to share my calendar with others but WITHOUT them seeing the specifics of the blocked time. I just want the to see that the time is blocked out, but not the details of it. I have tried different methods I found through google, but to no avail.

Is there a procedure for syncing the calendar app in Win 10 with the Outlook 2013 calendar? I have been trying to sync my calendar in Outlook 2013 with my Blackberry Z30 in Blackberry Blend and Blackberry Link. So far I can only sync Windows 10 contacts with my BB Z30. Selecting the Calendar app isn't an option -- see the attachment. The Blackberry help and support sites are neither helpful nor supportive.

Not really. RIM software is hard to do. Try setting up the email settings with calendat on the phone. I know that howardforums.com is the best cellular forum that may still have their RIM forum up.

I do not like windows live mail. I find that is not very good. So I set outlook up with my hotmail account. But this has 2 seperate contact lists and 2 seperate calendars. I put my contacts into the new list, but is there any way of importing this stuff into outlook so i don't have to copy it whenever i add a new thing to the calendar?

I've recently obtained a new phone and in the process of syncing it, I've made a right mess--I now have a default Outlook calendar full of appointments that date back to 2005. I created a calendar (in "People's calendars") some time ago that seems to be OK. Is there a way to clear data from the default calendar, then transfer the "people's calenda data over to the now pristine default??

I have many birthdays entered into Outlook 2007 in Contacts (in birthdays location). They will not, however, appear in my Calendar.

I have an iPhone that syncs to Outlook and the birthdays appear in the calendar on my iPhone; just not on my desktop copy of Outlook.

Any ideas? I've tried everything! Just not the right thing apparently.

Did you enter the birthdays in Outlook, or did you enter them on your iPhone? If they're entered on the iPhone, when you sync the two it will add the birthday to your Outlook contacts, but not to the Outlook calendar.

I have a problem with OL2K3 and a users shared calendars disappearing.

Situation:

I have a user (userA) that has their personal calendar and then 2 conference room calendars shared. I have shared these with several users with no issues at all except for one person (userB) out of the group will occasionally lose access to these calendars. Everyone else's calendars works correctly but when this user (userB) restarts OL occasionally the conference room calendars are no longer listed in their avail. calendars list. Once the calendars are gone I have to go back through the process of "opening a shared calendar".

A couple of other odd things I have noticed also is that if you look at the shared calendar in the top there is a name describing who's calendar you are looking at. Occasionally this will not be there and it is only with these shared calendars. Also to add to the mix, UserB has other users calendars avail. and has never had a problem with those individuals.

I have ensured that the settings are correct and identical as the other non-problematic users and that everyone is setup the same with all permissions in place. I have shared each individual calendar and i have removed and reinstalled.

A:How to save Outlook 2007 calendar

Copy the PST file. This will not only save your calendar but e-mail and contacts as well.

To find the exact location, rather than searching which can take more time, simply:

Right click on Personal Folder
Property for Personal Folder
Click on the Advanced button

This will show the directory and name for the PST file. I like to keep it in a location other than the default so I don't have to worry about remembering where it is kept. For example, I keep my in an e-mail directory in My Documents. Less to worry about backing up.

In outlook 2007, I installed a calendar from my hotmail account, and I would like to remove it from outlook all together now. When I right click on the calendar to delete it (in the navigation pane), the menu option to delete the calendar is greyed out and it won't allow me to delete it. I did have a third calendar on there as well, but it allowed me to delete that one with no trouble.

How can I delete that 2nd calendar file?

What I'd like to do is eliminate the end of the previous month and beginning of the next month when I'm in monthly view.

Right now, for example, when I look at March 2014, I can see February 24 - 28 at the start, and April 1 - 6 at the bottom, and I'd like to not see those. I just want to see the days of the current month.

Also, does anyone know a work-around to combine Saturday and Sunday into one day? I've read it's not possible with Outlook 2007 but I'm hoping that isn't true and someone has figured out how to do it.

Finally I would like, in monthly view, to adjust the size of the columns if possible. I want to make the weekend columns smaller and the weekday ones bigger, but mousing over the vertical line to adjust them doesn't do anything. Is this possible?

I have been running Outlook for a couple of years. I think it is a great tool. Recently I had to reinstall the program. On my view page I used to have a list of folders, current emails, preview page, and calendar. When the program was reinstalled, my calendar is gone. I can go to it and it works fine, but I can't figure out how to have it display on my main view page. How do I do this? Thank you for your help!

Hi,

I am using MS Office 2007. I have a shared calendar that is shared among 10 other employees at my company. Each employee is assigned a color for the calendar, so when they enter info, their color apears in the calendar for all to see.

For example, assume my color is red. When I enter an event into the calendar it appears red. Additionally all shared members of the calendar will also see my event and it will be red.

Therefore all members can see all members' colors. However, I am the only member of the ten members that can't see any category colors except for my own. On my computer, other members events appear in blue only. Whereas on their computers, all the colors appear. How do I fix this?

I am using Outlook 2007. I have inputted contact details - birthdays and anniversaries - directly into the contacts. They are supposed to automatically appear in the calendar - but they don't!

At work I use a calendar in Outlook 2007 and love it. It is set up like a standard monthly calendar (Sunday through Saturday). At home I have Outlook 2003 and the monthly calendar starts with Monday and ends with Saturday and Sunday split. Is there any way to have the standard calendar view in my Outlook 2003.

I am not very experienced so, if this is possible, please keep directions simple.

Yesterday 11/14 at the same time as a security update was installed, Outlook 2007 calandar disappeared. I went back to an earlier date with no help. I tried to reinstall Office 2007 with no help. I tried Office repair several times with no help. I did an upgrade from Vista to Windows 7 Home Premium. When I try to open Calendar I get the following message. Cannot display the folder. Microsoft cannot access the specified folder location. The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook. Outlook cannot open this item. The item may be damaged. I also get the following message: outlook:00000000BCC052DiE06A234A9CA612. Underneith it is attached to a YouTube video link.

Hello all; in Outlook 2007 Calendar monthly view, it used to show the appt details on each day, but it went away and just shows the small triangles, and I cannot find how or where to restore it. The details DO show up on day and week view, but not on whole month view like before, and it was very convenient. Anyone know how to restore this feature on the monthly view? Thank you! Hi all-

When I am scheduling a meeting with another employee in Outlook 2007, I can see if they are free or busy at scheduled times. If I go down to Options and click on View Calendar Details, I can actually see what meetings the user is booked for. Is there a way to set up the account so that other employees can only see the Free/Busy times without being able to see the details of each meeting?

I am experiencing an issue trying to establish a 2 way sync between Outlook 2007 Calendar on a W7 PC and a new iPhone 5 using iTunes. When I plug the phone into the PC and iTunes launches, I am successful syncing the Outlook calendar to the phone, but cannot get calendar entries created on the phone to appear in the Calendar on the PC.

I have got this annoying glitch in Outlook 2007. Every time I open the program I get a reminder for an event that used to be in my diary. The only difference is that now it is reminding me of this event for the current day - that is, the day I open Outlook. When I try to turn it off and disable it the reminder tells me that it "Cannot turn off the reminder.You may be reminded again. Cannot locate recurrance information for this project." Pretty annoying glitch.

Hi all, I went to the computer today and my Outlook calendar is somehow blank, almost.
Nothing shows on the calendar but the little arrows pointing down you use when you have multi tasks to let you see the others.
I opened the calendar in anther window by right clicking and everything came up, but still nothing on original calendar page. Tried it later and got nothing by right clicking and opening in another window.
Any ideas?

Just wondering if any experienced the following and if they found a fix.

I have a client who's had inadvertently added a user to share her Outlook 2007 Calendar (In an Exchange Environment). My client has since removed that user from the Permissions Properties. But, for some reason the Shared symbol still appears on her Calendar Icon.

I confirmed that there were no other user that have permissions to her Calendar. As a test I added and removed a user in having permissions to the Calendar. The Shared Symbol disappeared for a while but returned once we restarted Outlook.

Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I have an image as background at 35% in the upper left hand corner. For both the image and my name to look nice in the same upper area, I had to put my name on a custom blank line. I also completely filled in my name (first, middle, last) on the contact (doesn't show on the card)

When I send my business card, it attaches to my emails but instead of having my name it says <noname> because that info is drawn from the custom blank line.

Anyone know how to get the business card that others see attached to my emails not read <noname> because it is pullling from a custom blank line?

When I go to my calendar, the shaded time block always defaults to Sunday 8am. And then when I click New Appointment, the default start date/time is Sunday 8am. How do I change the default start date/time to the next half hour time block? So today is Monday and it's currently 9:26am so if I go to create a new appointment, the default start date/time is Monday 9:30am.

I have a client who is having a strange problemn with Outlook. They are connected via Exchange. I had to remove over 3000 duplicate calendar items. Everything seems fine for about a week, then the duplicates start creeping back in. After the 2nd week there is about 700 back. SO I user my duplicate remover program, and we are fine for another week. After running it, I can logon from a diff pc and see that the dupes are gone. Why would they come back in to exchange. No other user is having this issue. Also, sometimes if we add a recurring appt, it disappears the next day. Any suggestions are appreciated. This is on a vista pc, quadcore, 500gb hadd, 6gb ram, gigabit ethernet

I use Outlook and have an IMAP account. My calendar appointments have disappeared from the main view but I can see them on my iPhone. If I change the current view to 'all appointments' they are listed but when I go back to 'Day/Week/Month' view it is empty. I can only see items in these views: All Appointments; Active Appointments; By Category and Outlook Data Files. I can also log into my calendar in iCloud and see the same appointments there. I have run scanpst to fix any errors but still can't access appointments on PC. Any ideas?

First backup your current profile by exporting the PST somewhere easy to find. Next delete your current profile. Go to Programs and Features, select MS Office, then choose to Change and use the Repair feature.
Reboot, manually go to Windows Update and look for new updates, be sure to look through the optional updates and select and download any Office Updates, especially those for Outlook. Reboot the machine, fire up Outlook and create a new profile. If anything is missing, import the original PST but make sure you choose to Ignore Duplicates. That will extract and import only what is not already there.

I installed Office 2007 for a couple of people at the office last week. Today, one of the ladies asked me about how to get the appointment text to wrap in the monthly view - high details. When she prints the calendar, most of her appointments are truncated at the edge of the daily boxes and provide little information about the appointments for the day. She showed me an old printout of a monthly view calendar from her old office xp and a few of them seemed to have small 'text boxes' that word-wrapped. I could find no such optoin for Office 2007. The font size is already small....are 'text boxes' available for outlook 2007 Calendar, or can text be wrapped ?

Suddenly I can't open my calendar or contacts in Outlook 2007. Have been using this software for several months. Can open mail and notes folders but not the other two above. When I click the folder the hand sign comes on and the screen freezes. If I try to open another folder the screen goes white and hangs. I have to start Task manager to shut the session down. Only recent changes are MS updates from the web but can't see any problems there. No error messages appear and all other programs run OK. Other recent change was upgrading virus software to Norton 360. Ops system is Vista Home Premium. Have searched MS website for a fix and this site. Can anyone suggest a fix.

I just installed Outlook 2007 on my computer. Everything seems to work properly with one exception. When I attempt to email an appointment I create in the calendar view, the email message goes to the Outbox but just stays there. Other email messages go out without any problem. Actually I noticed that if I edit a calendar item I created in Outlook 2002 before I upgraded to 2007 and send this updated item, it gets sent.

I am guessing there is some formatting issue/option I have overlooked.

I am able to receive calendar appointments I receive from email. They get scheduled in my 2007 calendar properly.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

NOTE: I installed the Office 2007 Enterprise version but am NOT connected to an Exchange server.

I just loaded 2007 on my laptop and then discovered i also had this issue in 2003. We arent sure if it is a windows profile issue or an exchange profile issue BUT...
i went to a date a month out. I right clicked and chose a new appt. The window popped up and the date was todays date, no matter when i select a date, it defaults to today's date. no one else has this issue.
it gets weirder. I just click on the calendar day and start to type in a new appt. it not only doesnt allow me to extend the time beyond 30 minutes, a reminder window pops up telling me that i have the appt in 5 minutes...no matter which date i select. and the appts dont show up. HOWEVER, if i open OWA, everything is perfect, the date is correct and all of the "test" appts i created in the full version of outlook show up. it also seems to work if i am checking another person's calendar.
I am stumped. i have tried it on computers i have never logged into and it does the same thing so it isnt a little nugget saved somewhere, it has to be a profile issue but which profile and has anyone heard of this before?

Everytime I open Outlook 2007 (Dell XPS, Vista HP), I have about 30 calendar items that show up in the reminder section. Even though they are weeks old, and I tell it to dismiss all (which it does), the next time I open Outlook, all 30 reappear. The only way for me to stop this is to open the item and delete it, which is not a option as this is my work and those past appts are necessary to have saved. Also, everyday that I have calendar items are added to the list and I'm sure will get up into the hundreds before long. This is happening on both my desktop and HP laptop running the same OS and outlook version. Thanks in advance for any help if someone knows and is having the same issue.

Hey all,
I recently installed outlook 2007 on a new computer and imported all my saved information from a backup file from my previous computer. Outlook created a new calendar with all my saved information on it, in the same folder as the main calendar. Since the default/main calendar cannot be deleted, I want to copy all the information from the imported calendar to the main one (and then delete the imported one).

If anyone knows how to do this, it would be greatly appreciated. My attempts to search online have thus far been futile.

Is there any way you can have the calendar reminders in Microsoft Outlook 2007 working without having the whole program turned on? I'd like for them to work all the time but I don't want the program running constantly. I haven't been able to find a way of doing it.

The Microsoft Online registration page cannot be accessed. You must first register before you can publish calenders to office online. verify that your computer can connect to the internet, and then try again.

Hi,

I am currently using Outlook 2007, and need to share a calendar that I have created (rather than my standard personal 'my calendar') with people on the server who are using Outlook 2003.

I can share my personal calendar fine (the 2003 users have to add my calendar as a shared calendar after I have sent them an invite), but I can not find a way to share the non-personal calendar.

Any suggestion welcome.

I have a home network with a hardwired PC and a wireless laptop. Both are new Dells running Vista. I would like the laptop to be able to view the calendar that is maintained on the PC. Presently we use only one email address that we share. Both of us get all emails but I haven't been able to share the calendar. How can I do this?

When I print a color calendar from Outlook 2007, the blocks of color for the different calendar entries disappear. The entries are still there,but they are plain white. The color is there in Print Preview. All other Outlook items print in color. My secretary can print her calendar in color. Anybody?

Hi, first time user, this site's great! I have two issues:

1. My default calendar view is on the weekly setting. I'd like to see just "today's" appointments by default.

2. Each calendar line is only 5 minutes in length by default. I'd like to change the default length of each line on the calendar to 30 minutes.

When you open the calendar there are three tabs at the top (Day, Week and Month). Choose Day.

Right click someplace on the calendar then click customize current view, and then click other settings. There you can set the time scale to 30 minutes.

I have noticed that the calendar is making an event be a weekly recurrence, for sure after I have gone into the event and added something in the Notes. It may happen under other conditions as well, but this is the one I have noticed. After adding information in the notes, all of a sudden, it is in the calendar as a weekly occurrence. Any ideas?

Morning All,

Is it possible to add an attachment to a calendar appointment and then publish it to office online for others to subscribe to it and download the attachments? Currently when I share my calendar that has attachments embedded into it, it only publishers just the details of the appointment.

I have searched around on the net and have thus far found no solution. One of the Office 2007 tech support team suggested going to Tools/Account Settings/Internet Calendar and then ticking the 'Download attachments for items in this Internet Calendar' which is fine, however if my calendar is not uploading the attachments in the first place how can the receiver download the files?

I have uploaded a picture of what it says when I go to publish my calendar and it clearly states (calendar attachments will not be published).

Some staff in our executive branch have brand new laptops (lucky guys) with Office 2007[Of07]. They are creating calendars which need to be shared with other employees, most of which are running only Outlook 2003 [OL03].

Calendar(s) are made, and invites sent for specific calendars to specific groups of users.
IE: Regional Sales Mgr. creates several supplemental "events" calenders he wants to share with his different teams.
Calendars:
---Default, Corporate, Dist1, Dist2, Dist3, Region
Group:
---DistGrp1, DistGrp2, DistGrp3
Permissions:
---Dist1 calender --> DistGrp1
---Dist2 calendar --> DistGrp2
---Dist3 calendar --> DistGrp3
---Region --> DistGrp1, DistGrp2, DistGrp3

All OL03 users get an email with a link to Microsoft explaining how to open shared calendars. Off07 users get the icon to click and open specified calendar.

OL03 user then follows MS instructions, and pulls up the Off07 user's default calendar, with no option to open or even locate any other calender.

Is there something lacking here? Anyone have any work-a-rounds for OL03 users to open a shared calendar (other than the default or main calendar) of an OFF07 user?

All Outlook 2003 users get an email with a link to Microsoft explaining how to open shared calendars. Off07 users get the icon to click and open specified calendar.

Outlook 2003 user then follows MS instructions, and pulls up the Outlook 2007 user's default calendar, then they get this message "Unable to display the folder. The Calendar folder could not be found".

Is there something lacking here? Anyone have any work-a-rounds for Outlook 2003 users to open a shared calendar of an Outlook 2007 user?

Outlook 2007 in the computer of one of the users in my company cannot view or edit a shared calendar. When I try to open the calendar it pops-up an alert that says "You do not have permission to view this calendar"

It doesn't seem to be a rights or permission issue, because when she access using her account information in another computer, she is able to view and edit the calendars. Some of the other computers have Outlook 2007 as well, so I'm wondering if there is a setting or an extra step that I need to configure in Outlook 2007 in order to access those calendars?

there r 2 users in ur company : A and B

If A wants share his calender with B then :

1: A needs to grant access to B from his outlook calender. right click on calender- share- calender permissions. Assign the desired permissions

2. Then B needs to ' open' A's calendar in his computer by : right click on 'my calendar' - add calendar - from address book.

I remember with Outlook 2003, whenever I would have a meeting scheduled and need to add someone to the meeting, I could click "Send Update" and Outlook would ask if I wanted to send to "All" attendees, or just those that are added or deleted.

I don't have this feature (that I know of) in Outlook 2007. It just automatically sends to "All". Does this feature exist? Where can I change the settings for it?

I think I solved this one myself... Outlook 2007 has a "feature" that tries to determine if your intent is to send the updates to "all" or to only added/deleted attendees....

It depends on the change that you made to the meeting invite itself. If all you do is add or remove people from the meeting, it will ask what you want to do. If you change the time/date, or add notes to the meeting invite, it automatically sends the update to "all".

Hiya - I just upgraded to Office 2007 and I've run into something I just can't figure out:

How do you change the font for individual items on the daily calendar in the printed version of it?

I found the Page Setup -> Daily, and the fonts in there affect the right hand Notes section and the footer.

In View -> Customize Current View you can change the font for the individual items onscreen, but it does not carry over to the printed version. For the life of me I can't find a setting to change for that.

Can anyone shed any light on this? That small font is terrible on my old eyes I did download the Calendar Printing Assistant, so if anyone can point me to some good documentation for it - that might do the trick as well.

work week view on my calendar. In Outlook 2003, my work week view displayed the days horizontally, so that I could see all of my appointments for the week/weekend at once. In 2007, the display goes across the screen vertically and my appointments are condensed so I have to roll my mouse over the appointment to see what it is. Also, my screen only shows 8am to about 2pm before I have to use my scroll bar to scroll down to see appointments after that. Basically, I'm unable to view all of my appointments on one screen like I could in 2003. Any ideas how to change the format to display closer to that in Office 2003? Thank you.

My PC uses Windows XP and I am using Outlook 2007. In the Calendar Section, I have recently got a "Reminder" which wont be dismissed.

When I DO click Dismiss, I get a message: Cannot turn off the reminder. You may be reminded again. Cannot locate recurrence information for this appointment.

It was an entry to do some extra cover at work that I did for some time, but I deleted a while ago, but don't understand why if the calendar entry has been deleted that the reminder has not!?!

I also sync with an iPhone which of course mirrors the calendar and I suppose at some point the iPhone HAD the calendar entry when the PC did not, but after the sync it should have been deleted to match the PC.

Is there any way I can I get rid of this reminder?

Please try the following:

1. Select "Calendar" so that you are viewing the calendar
2. Near "File" at the top of the window click "View" -> "Current View" -> "All Appointments"
3. Locate the appointment that keeps generating the reminder and delete it. Outlook will promp several errors, but just click through them and the appointment should be deleted now.
4. Restart Outlook.

I was wondering if anyone has lost data input (appts, events, etc) within their Outlook calendar?? I don't know if I have an automatic-archive that takes all my previous month's inputs and archives them. I've been inputting into Outlook for years...and can't find ANY of them except for the current month I'm using. Any ideas?? Thanks!

are you on a server or are your calendars just local to your computer under personal folders?
check if you see an archive folder tree and expand it in folder view to see if there are any calendars there.

Im not able to save any new appointments in my outlook 2007 calendar. I keep getting the error " Out of Memory or system resources. Close some windows or programs and try again".

I tried it right now and i dont have any other application open except my browser(firefox).

My Laptop is a Core duo 1.66 with 1 gig RAM.

Hi All,

I use MS Office Outlook 2007 calendar to remind me about routine things like backups, data saves, periodic tax payments etc.

Recently I have noticed that I sometimes don't get reminded about these events. When I realise that this has happened, I open the item in Outlook and find that the "Reminder" field has changed from "0 minutes" (which would give me a reminder at the time the event was set for) to "none" (which gives me no reminder at all).

Can anyone suggest why this might be happening, and how to cure it?

I?ve been asked to find out if there?s a way to ?list? a bunch of holidays on everyone?s calendars. I know there?s a holidays feature in Outlook, but it only includes certain holidays and can?t be managed via GPO.

I need to create a shared calendar that HR maintains that has all of the holidays that they want listed. Then add that calendar to everyone?s default view? If this can't be done, what other options do I have?

Hello,

I am trying to determine if you can have mail delivered to a PST folder but have Calendar requests updated to the Exchange server calendar folder. I have an end-user who would like to maintain the setup where the mail goes to his PST file, but when he accepts appointments and etc. they should show up on the Exchange server Calendar so others can see his availability for meeting requests. Is this possible? In the past, I have advised users to have mail delivered to server and then move mail items to PSTs with rules or archiving to management storage.

That will work. The exchange server still gets updated it's just that all his mail/contacts/calendar will be saved to his local PST file instead of the server. However OWA will be blank for that user and he risks losing all his Outlook data is something happens to that PST file. I really don't see why he needs it that way.

quick question that I've come across recently, in an exchange outlook desktop calendar, there are several co-workers calendars added to a list and as they are viewed/checked "focus" of the screen seems to change to that persons calendar.
 
Has anyone seen this and know how to fix?
 
Last time i fixed this for the guy I came up something on the spot and thought i wasnt going to see it again, apparently he forgot how to do it too.
 
I want to recall that it required "removing focus" from that persons mailbox but pressing esc didnt work, unchecking (removing) their mailbox didnt seem to help either, I am assuming any "new appointments" created will be created under for that persons calendar since the title bar has changed from "Employee's calendar" to, "Employees co-worker's calendar"

I use Vista businees and have MS office 2007.

In outlook 2007, when I print my Calendar (montly view), the text is truncated, even if there only one activity for a particular day.

Is there a way to print the text on more than one line (wrap around), assuming there is space?

I have seen other Calendar application doing this.

I have a user who is trying to print a meeting request from her calendar in Outlook 2007. When she opens the meeting and tries to print, she gets this error:

"There is a problem with the selected printer. You might need to reinstall the printer. Try again, or use a different printer."

This message comes up no matter which printer she chooses (local or network). Oddly enough, when she opens the item within the meeting request, she is able to print that. She is also able to print other items (emails, Word docs, etc.) to all printers with no problems.

Any ideas?? We are new to Office 2007 & this is the first time I've seen this. I was unable to duplicate the problem on my machine.

Just wanted to add: this just happened with a different user who was trying to print an email that contained an attached item. So it seems the commom denominator is the attached item within the email / appointment they are trying to print. Not sure why that is causing a problem, and why it's only happening with certain users. I still haven't been able to replicate the problem on my comuter.

I have a user who is having an issue with Outlook 2007. The device is on the work domain, which is managed using Group Policy. The drive was imaged from a master image, like every other drive in our nearly 5,000 device network. My point is, this is something localized to the user or her machine.

Anyway, the user has many shared calendars that she views all at once. When viewing them, her preferred and current view is Day/Week/Month. The problem is that she switches constantly between her calendar(s) and email. Sometimes, when she switches to email and then back to calendar (by selecting between the two on the lower left menu), the calendars suddenly change from Day/Week/Month view to All Appointments view. When she changes it back manually, she has to reselect all of the shared calendars that she was viewing. This happens multiple times a day.

I already ran a macro to lock the current view, but the issue persists. Online research got me nowhere, and upgrading to Outlook 2010 is not an option right now.

What am I missing here? She wants the Day/Week/Month view to always stay. Why would it randomly change back to All Appointments view when switching between email and calendars?

Hi All,

My users are on Outlook 2007 and we connect to an exchange server (2003). The problem we are having is that previously shared calendars are suddenly becoming unavailable. The message that pops up is:

'The set of folders cannot be opened.'

A more detailed message suggests the following:

'This error usually occurs if the OST or PST file you are using is:
> Unavailable
> Protected with file permissions.
> On a share on a server and the network is down.
> Corrupt

To correct this problem, store the OST or PST file on the local computer.

You may also want to run the scanost.exe and scanpst.exe tools to verify file integrity.'

I have tried scanning them and they are fine. When I look at the permissions they are gone. When the user re-shares the calendar it is ok again but often looses the permission after a re-boot (but not always).

Any ideas welcome...

I find when i have an appointment , set to busy its very difficult to distinguish the days with and without appointments as the Bold is very weak, Is there a setting to change the format so the number perhaps changes colour rather than just bold

On 2003 which I have on a different machine - the busy days are bold and stand out really well and i can see days I have appointments quite easily.

On 2007 this is not the case, I tried changing screen brightness - I wonder if its the PC - A Dell E6400

What I have found is that Outlooks defaults all appoints to be "recurring" weekly with no end date. I find this very annoying and it is even difficult, sometimes impossible, to remove the recurrence. Does anyone know of a way to change the default to be one-time events? I've searched the Outlook help menu with no luck.

I have outgrown the default mail and calendar applications that come with Vista Home, and was planning on purchasing MS Outlook 2007.

However I wanted to find out if Outlook will recognize the .ics files if I attempt to import them? (or if a wizard will copy them and pull them into Outlook?)

I REALLY do not want to have to manually redo my entire calendar...

Sadly trying to get an answer from MS Sales Dept. was like drawing water from a Mirage...

According to what I have read, both Windows Live Calendar and Outlook 2007 support .ics files.
However, you may want to copy your ics file and then import the copy and/or you may see if you can export your calendar in another format (I really must admit my absolute ignorance here!)

I was not looking and typing away a question in calendar search and I ended up somehow switiching the view to Day from Week. It has always been on week where I want it.

I changed the View setting to week and it seemed fine, but everytime I leave calendar and navigate to mail or contacts and work there and then come back to calendar it is back in the Day View setting............almost like it defaults to there. I have looked around and can't figure out how to lock the Calendar Week View setting like I had before. Ideas?

Well, after still trying many things, I found when I changed the view from day/week/month to day/week/month with auto preview that it stayed locked on week view. Not sure why, but seems to have worked. I will monitor it a while and if it seems ok then I will mark the thread solved.

I have a laptop with VISTA operating system, has Outlook 2007

I would like to create a file in which I could put on a disk that has all of my Calendar appts and all of my emails such that when I take to another computer I could view all of the calendar appt (reminders) and all of the emails

I know there is a PST file somewhere (if this is what I need to copy where do I find it?) on the computer but does it contain all of this info?

Please let me know how to accomplish this

So, this is about the integration between the two, of course. I have added the WL feed to OC and it appears there. Every task appears as an "all day" event. Then I uncheck the "all day" box, enter the respective time and make my schedule. And then, I guess at the next refresh from the WL feed, all events are back to "all day" :( Does anybody know how to deal with this? Or any reasonable way to put WL tasks into a(ny) calendar without having to jump through hoops? Thanks in advance!

I maintain the PC's for our condo complex and had originally set one of them up with only an Administrator account. However, those who used it (several staff) downloaded software and other junk, sometimes with malware or a virus. To correct this, I setup a User account that does not permit making changes to the PC. I have been able to get everything up and running except the Outlook 2007 calendar that resides in the Administrator account. I have tried everything I could find on the web, but nothing seems to work. Can anyone advise how to solve this issue? Any help will be appreciated.

Hi there!

When I start Outlook 2007, suddenly my Calendar is displaying instead of my IMAP Inbox despite the fact that I've chose my IMAP Inbox as my preferred folder to display at startup.

It's worked in the past, and without any reason, it's decided to ignore my settings.

Any clues, anyone?

outlook:calendar snuck itself into my startup command line after the outlook.exe command. THAT'S what makes it start in the Calendar!

I have one user (so far) that cannot see his own calendar details under the Outlook 2007 client when he tries to schedule a meeting using the 'Scheduling Assistant'. All he is seeing is the Blue Blocks where he has an existing meeting. He can see other users calendar details and other users can see his calendar details from their mailbox. Attached are some screen shots.

Our environment:
Exchange 2007 servers only.
Outlook 2007 clients only.
We do have one Public folders store on a Exchange 2007 mail server.

This user can send/receive emails and can create calendar meetings with no problems.

We have compared this users permissions/rights/settings with other users and they look correct. We have done the /cleanfreebusy Outlook command line switch and that did not fix the problem.

I have searched the Internet and have found no one else with this same problem.

I have multiple pst files in outlook. how do I select a specific pst to be the default for my contacts calendar notes etc? is there a way to hide the others from appearing? I only need the others for email

In Outlook 2007 Calendar, the default reminder time is 15 minutes. That is, Outlook will remind you of each appointment 15 minutes in advance.

In Tools\Options..., I've tried to set the default reminder time to a shorter interval. But no matter what I set it to--10 minutes, 12 minutes, 5 minutes--Outlook keeps reminding me of each appointment 15 minutes in advance.

In Tools\Options..., there's a checkbox called "Default Reminder:" Whether I check it or leave it unchecked has no effect on the reminder time either--Outlook keeps reminding me of each appointment 15 minutes in advance.

Any ideas what could be happening here?

Some online registration systems like Delta.com allow you to add flight reservations into your outlook calendar, but unlike American Express Infuser applications that import the data as an appointments which goes into your calendar smoothly, Delta and some others sends the data as a MeetingRequest.ics file. To get these MeetingRequest.ics into your calendar you must drag and drop it into the correct day/time. That works fine for items that begin and end on the hour, but say you have a flight for 9:23 to 10:37 you must drop it into 9:00 and then edit the file for the correct start and end time and then delete the old MeetingRequest.ics item. In short, a lot of work. So my question is how do you take an individual MeetingRequest.ics item and easily merge it into you outlook calendar without the need to edit files? Any and all help is welcomed.
