Outlook 2010 Calendar Month View Not Showing Things

Q: Outlook 2010 Calendar Month View Not Showing Things

When I pull up the Month view of outlook calendar it doesn't show all of the things I have scheduled.

for instance, I have something at 2pm on April 30 and I don't see that unless I pull up the day and the detail of it. On the month view it's just a white square with no indication there's something scheduled. Other days if I have something all day it shows. Or maybe morning.

What setting do I need to tinker with?

Thanks

A: Outlook 2010 Calendar Month View Not Showing Things

I see some items not others. I don't think it's a lost PST file. If I open the day, I see the entries. I don't have many entries, but it would be nice to see them all in the month view. For Instance on May 7th, I see Teacher appreciation week (a week long whole day entry) but not a 9am webinar and a 2pm presentation although they show if I open the day view. May 8th I have the date bold in my little thumbnail calendar so I know there's something there; in the month view nothing, in the day view I see an activity scheduled for 9am.

It's crazy. I would like to see something in the month view to show me what's coming up.

I've had a persistent problem for several months since I migrated to a new hard drive. Outlook 2010 calendar is working, but only in Active List view. Any attempt to change to Preview or Calendar view produces the error message, "Could not read the calendar." Changing from Active List to List works some of the time, but inconsistently and sometimes it will hunt for the list and offer the same "Could not read the calendar." error message. This is very frustrating as I find it difficult to manage the list view and am accustomed to seeing the calendar week view.

I use an Android phone and use gmail and Google calendar to see mail and appointments on my phone. So, I've got Google Calendar Sync 0.9.4.1 running. Google Calendar Sync appears to be operating normally. I have a nice calendar view on my phone or web-based from my computer. I have tried adding the Google calendar to Outlook but it is a duplicate of the default calendar and I can't set it as the default. Also, MS Office does not permit me to delete the default calendar.

I don't like any of the work arounds. I just want the calendar to work like it should. Research discloses no real hint of anything that works including running scanpst. Scanpst does a great job at fixing the problem by wiping the whole calendar thanks very much MS.

Just installed Win10 yesterday, and taking a first look at the Calendar app. Unless I have overlooked something, this app has a flaw that makes it almost not worth using.

I'm using the app to display my Google Calendar events, a month at a time. In many cases, I have enough events scheduled for a single day that they won't all fit in the cell in Month View. Is there really no way to display all the events for a given date (including the ones that don't fit) in Month View? (For example, in the Calendar app on my phone, it is usually the case that not all the events for a given date show in the grid, but tapping the date in question displays a pop-up that shows them all). This app just runs them off the bottom of the cell. It doesn't even alert you to the fact that there are additional events for that date that it isn't displaying!

Dare I hope I'm missing something here?

/John

A:Calendar: Multiple events in month view

I guess nobody shares my angst for the perceived shortcomings of the Calendar app.

All the same, thought I'd mention that I installed an app from the Store called One Calendar that seems to be free, and does not suffer from the above-stated problem (when viewing in Month View, if there are 'n' events that don't fit in the grid, One Calendar displays a little '+n' at the top of the cell, alerting you to the fact that there's more you're not seeing; then clicking on the cell brings up the Day View, so you can see it all).

All's well that ends well.

I actually only want to see the current month in Outlook's Month view.

Sorry Paul, I cannot find any way to do that.

One thing which might help to make the view more obvious, might be to change the colour of the calendar which is also accessed from the view tab.

You have changed the Reading View pane - here is how to get it back to your original:
Make changes to the Reading (preview) Pane - Outlook - Office.com

Just touch the 'View' tab and select 'Reading Pane' in the 'Layout' section on the Ribbon. Next select the option 'Right'. It should then be back to your preferred view.

I haven't transferred my old emails from my old Laptop to my new PC.

I am using Office Professional Plus 2007 on Windows 7. I am syncing with iCloud.

Today while I was modifying an appointment, I suddenly lost all my appointments in the day/week/month view. I can still see them in the "All appointments" view.

Here is what I have tried:
run diagnostics
started outlook with the following switches: /cleanview, /resetfolders, /safemode,
reset filters on views
uninstalled-reinstalled
but the problem still exists. I should also mention when I reinstalled, my data was still there, so maybe there is something corrupt in my profile?

Can anyone help? Please! I have turned off syncing for my iPhone with the iCloud for the time being because I am terrified I am suddenly going to lose my calendar on my iPhone and then I will be screwed :-(

Hi!

I’m a IT tech and we have a problem here with some users.

In outlook, when creating a appointment and look at the print preview (or when we print), the appointments don’t look the same.

In case A (the case I want to happen on every computer), we see the whole appointment, “multi-line view”.

In case B (the problem), we just see a part of the line (the line’s cut), it’s single-line.

See:

Case A (the OK situation):
Case B (the problem):
I uninstalled Office + reinstalled it and the problem occurs again. On the same Exchange account, on two different computer, I can get the Case A on one computer and the Case B on the second. So I guess it’s not Exchange related.

We use Windows XP Pro SP2 and Office 2003 SP3.

So my guess it’s NT account related or an option in Outlook that I overlooked the 10 times I checked.

Can someone help me here?

Thanks a lot and sorry for my English! 

Greetings.

This is not a desperate problem, but an annoying one. I don't know how the settings changed, and I can't figure out how to fix it.

Ordinarily when I would open up the calendar in Outlook, it would look like this: left hand pane with one or two small month calendars on top - task bar for other Outlook features on the bottom; on the right in the large portion of the screen would be displayed today's date, or another day if I had chosen that date; in the top toolbar are icons for choosing views, i.e., day, week, etc. (there are only two panes displayed)

Instead what started happening yesterday when I open the calendar I see three panes: left hand pane with two tiny calendar icons that say next to them "calendar" and "calendar in archive folders;" there are no monthly calendars; there's a long blank sections; and there's the task bar for other Outlook features on the bottom. In the center pane is a list of events or appointments showing a recurring event icon, the name of the event, the start, the end and the recurrence pattern. In the left had pane is a description of the selected event from the center column.

I've never seen this view before and don't know how I got it. What did I click?

In order to get my ordinary view back, I click the box next to "calendar in archive folders" and that calendar opens. Then I can click the box next to "calendar" and the two calendars (day view) are opened side by side. Now I can unche... Read more

Running Outlook 2000 on XP Pro. I prefer to view the Calendar by month view. When you switch to calendar the first week of the month is the first week displayed, at the end of the month this means you don't see into the future without doing a next month and then Today function. Can I make the Calendar default to the first week being displayed in month view being the currrent week instead of the first week of the month? Also once I change the view, if I go out of Calendar and come back in it is reset, can it remember the last view you had?

Hi, first time user, this site's great! I have two issues:

1. My default calendar view is on the weekly setting. I'd like to see just "today's" appointments by default.

2. Each calendar line is only 5 minutes in length by default. I'd like to change the default length of each line on the calendar to 30 minutes.

A thousand times, thanks!

When you open the calendar there are three tabs at the top (Day, Week and Month). Choose Day.

Right click someplace on the calendar then click customize current view, and then click other settings. There you can set the time scale to 30 minutes.

Hi

I have a user who had a problem viewing appointments in the public calendars and in her own.

On her view, there are a few appointments that show up, but most do not. This happens even if she is logged in to a different machine.

I changed the current view to be Day/Week/Month View with Auto Preview and this allows her to see all the appointments. If it is set to just the Day/Week/Month View she can't see them.

I checked others, and they do not have the auto preview on to see the appointments. Any idea why this would happen?

Thanks

OK, here is a good one...I use Outlook 2003 for business and use the calendar to follow up on opportunities. I set up a meeting for a contact and then put what I want to follow up in the subject line. When I want to work, I choose the current view of my calendar as "Active appointments".

I have customized my columns with start, company, contacts, and subject. My problem is that the "Company" column does not pick up the company name/information from the contact information. There is an exception for one company out of hundreds but I can't figure out how that contact was set up and why it is the only one which shows the information I need.

The default reminder is set for 15 minutes in Options - Calendar - Calendar options but I know you can change that for each individual appointment that you set up.

So I'm not sure what I did wrong.

Also, how do you access the calendar without having to turn the ToDo bar on which takes up a lot of the screen on the right side?

In the 2007 and 2003 versions I would click in the shared calendar and then Actions, view group schedule. I cannot figure it out in the 2010 version. The methods I have tried, give me a list of everyone's calendar under "other calendar" in the navigation pane. I have a strange situation with Outlook 2010 (using Windows 7 HP), whereby dates of birthdays have become corrupt.

I have family birthdays set up as recurring events. I recently noticed that some of them have been corrupted, in that three that occur in December have been changed to different months: one to January and two to April. I became aware of this because the ?reminder? for a December birthday appeared yesterday (15th April).

I say I use Outlook 2010, but the situation is a bit more complex: I have two older PCs running Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2003 respectively and I synchronise these regularly with the Outlook 2010 PC, using Code Two Outlook Sync. I also use Kies 3 to synchronise the Outlook 2010 PC with my Samsung Galaxy S4.

I don?t know exactly when the corruption occurred, but I have been doing the aforementioned synchronisations for several years without problem.

The strange thing is that I have a number of other, annual recurring events and none of them seems to be affected. My concern is that whilst I immediately spot the errors in family birthdays [because I know them], there may be other reminders [e.g. to pay bills] that I?m not so familiar with, and I wouldn?t necessarily spot it if they had become corrupted.

Any suggestions as to the cause would be very welcome!

Hi all,

All of you ye know, that in outlook (in "calendar" screen) more then one calendar is available. In my case under "my calendars" link appear 2 calendars, called: "calendar" and "birthdays calendar". The first one is just calendar, where holydays, tasks and so on (except birthdays) are marked and another calendar is only full of my contacts' birthdays.

Could I combine them? I don't like having more then one calendar. I'd rather have ONE and full calendar, where all events (tasks, holydays and so on together with birthdays) are given.

If anyone knows how to combine two calendars, please help me.

After I bring up the screen for a new appointment and fill in the information I get Outlook has stopped working and is searching for whatever. This happens if I catagorize an event or do not use the catagory. It is becomming so annoying that I am considering finding something other than Outlook or just a simple "To Do" list. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be going on? Thanks for any help. Regards, AMSHouTX (Al)

Hi all,
Have an issue with sharing calendars.
There is one user in our office whose calendar I and others are just unable to see. All that shows is a recurring daily appointment, despite her having several daily appointments. Have checked the delegate permissions and the permissions of all who the calendar is shared with but no-one can see her calendar items. This one user is able to see my and my colleagues calendars with no problem.
As stated - all permissions have been checked and are ok.
I am stuck as to what to try next. Please can anyone help?

I have a user that has logged into a PC opened up his calendar and can see all his events (appointments) for a given day.

Now when he logs onto another PC and opens up his calendar and goes to the same day he is missing some events?? (it is actually the last 4?)

Any ideas why this may be happening?? (Note PC would recently have been updated to 2003 from XP)

Hello
I have just started work at a new job with a PC that is new to me. It has Outlook 2003 on it. I am familiar with the very basics of Outlook from my previous job. I keep trying to add calendar appointments in my Outlook calendar. Nothing shows up on my calendar, however the appointment does show up in the Active Appointments area which I do not use. I have checked and am calendaring in the correct year. I have gone through Tools to add US holidays to my calendar - they do not show up either. I have a bit more info to include but have run out of space. I would appreciate your help. Thanks!

On the folder list in my Outlook the Calendar file is in bold font and shows a number of unread items in parentheses. I have tried everything to get it back to normal to no avail.

I right-clicked "Calendar" and selected "mark all as read" and nothing happened.

I searched for all unread items in the entire mailbox and none came up.

Please help, this is extremely annoying.

Greetings and I hope you can help me find a solution!
I have Win 7 OS on both my laptop and desktop. I've installed the same trial Office 2010 to both (ran it concurrently with 2007 to begin with but decided that 2010 was the one for me.) Both set-ups ran w/ no problems, then the Outlook on the desktop started crashing when I attempted to change the calendar (my school teaching schedule -recurring occurances) It would let me use mail, etc. but would (still does) crash when I attempt(ed) anything more than just look at the calendar. I've done the following: Uninstalled Office 2007; uninstalled and then reinstalled-first pro plus 2010, now office standard 2010 (new trial download direct from MS)-- uninstalled...then reinstalled new hotmail connector app. Ran sfc /scannow...OK Amazingly (to me) it remembered my calendar (and ability to crash!) through all this. It now will crash on attempting to open outlook half the time (or more frequently)It looks like ntdll.dll is a cause. Attached is a couple of the problem "details" after crash. Thanks in advance for your help.

How can I check which reminder is from which Calendar list?

Somehow, Microsoft Outlook 2010 is using 2 of the 8 Calendars to show the same reminders.

I have since unticked the 2nd Calendar which I don't need, however the reminders from the 2nd Calendar still appear.

I need to Dismiss the 2nd Calendar's reminders, however I'm not sure if I'm Dismissing the 1st or 2nd Calendar's reminders?

Thanks if anyone can help on this mystery.

A:Microsoft Outlook 2010 Calendar lists. Which one is being used?

I have fixed this by manually typing in Calendar list 1 in Calendar data.
Then opening up both Calendar reminders and reading which one has Calendar list 1 in the text field.
Another slow and manual fix for this email client.
Anyone know how other email clients compare to this product?
I know Apple's backup service is on a higher par not comparable with Microsoft.

Hello all:

First time poster.

In the folder/tree view on the left in Outlook 2007 (Windows XP Pro) the Contacts folder is not showing up.

In Outlook 2003, it was right there underneath Calendar, which, by the way, is also missing from the Folder/Tree view.

I can access my Contacts via the big tab at the bottom but I want the tree/folder view as it broke up the hierarachy very nicely.

Any ideas?

Thanx in advance,

Use "Folder List" view to see all of your folders in a single list. Either click the little folder icon in the Navigation Pane on the left-hand side or click Go | Folder List in the Menu Bar.

We use Outlook 2010 with Exchange 2010.
There is a calendar in the public folders. Several People have the permission as "author" for this public Folder calendar.

One of the "authors" creates an appointment with a reminder in his own calendar.
Then he copies this appointment with the reminder to the calendar of the public folder.

A public Folder itself does not Support a reminder in the calendar. But if you copy an appointment with a reminder from your own Outlook calendar to the calendar in the public Folder, then a reminder in a calendar of a public Folder is supported.

The result is: Every other "author" gets this reminder popping up in his own Outlook calendar.

The question is: How to prevent the reminders popping up in the outlook of the other "authors"?

Hi-
For some reason on one of our systems, running Outlook 2010, there is an issue with sending a New Meeting.

I select the Calendar. From the menu, "New Meeting". The New meeting screen opens. I enter in the subject, body, and have three contacts listed in "TO". That's it, and I click Send.

My recipients received this as a standard message, for some bizarre reason, all calendar data has been removed from the message, yet the item has been added to my calendar. Any thoughts?

Is there a way to have Outlook 2010 sync it's To-Do bar with a Windows Live webmail calendar?

I'm using Outlook 2010+latest version of Outlook Connector +Windows Live webmail. Calendar sync works fine in both directions but the Outlook To-Do bar only displays upcoming events from the local "Outlook" calendar, not my @live.com calendar (even though in the Outlook calendar pane the local calendar is unchecked and the @live.com calendar is checked).

A:Outlook 2010: sync To-Do bar with Windows Live/Hotmail calendar?

You can definitely do that, here's how:

1. Click on the File tab.
2. On the Info screen (should be the default one that appears after clicking "File") click the "Account Settings" drop-down button.
3. Then click on "Account Settings" to go to the Account Settings screen.
4. Once at the Account Settings dialog box, click the "Data Files" tab.
5. Select your default e-mail account that you wish to sync your calendar with. (This would be your @LIVE account.)
6. All set! Enjoy your new To-Do bar with updated @Live calendar information.

This will also change a couple other beneficial settings, such as auto-recognizing contacts that are on your LIVE e-mail account.

From Microsoft Outlook:

"The default Outlook Data File contains the calendar that appears in the To-Do Bar and settings for Favorites, shared folders, and RSS feeds."

Hope that works!

When Outlook calendar invitations are sent to certain recipients, they receive a plain text email as opposed to an actual iCal file. I have been doing my research on this, but have yet to find an answer. In order to narrow down the problem, I did a tightly controlled experiment:

I have Outlook configured to access email from several different POP3 servers, with all mail being directed to the same PST file. The first POP3 server is on my personal domain - I have a Linux-based VPS where the site is manage. The second POP3 server is a GoDaddy server.

Hi,
I have outlook 2010 on a windows 7 laptop. I have an IMAP account setup in outlook but emails get marked as read as soon as this same account is synced on another device. The emails are not read on the other device. This is very annoying as im not sure which emails actually get read and which ones are missed.
I have checked things like unchecking the option to mark as read if they are viewed in the reading pane, i cant see any settings in webmail (the account is with 1and1). The emails come through and are marked as unread until a sync is done on another device (iPhone) and then immediately all emails are marked as read.

Any help would be great.

Starting a couple of days ago, I haven't been able to preview any attachments to email--none at all. The message is: "This file cannot be previewed. Try opening the file in which is was created."

If I start in safe mode, it is able to view all attachments without any problem, but I can't find a way to resolve it other than working in safe mode.

I haven't installed any software recently that might account for this.

I have tried many things:

Scanpst.exe repeatedly until no errors
SFC

Office repair
Created new profile
Checked Trust Center settings
Checked file associations
Changed Norton Internet Security settings so it does not "protect email"

Outlook 2010 is acting up for me.

First, I have sort by categories which works fine.

Then, I have "as last viewed" for expand/collapse default in view settings > group by (automatically group is checked)

Problem: when changing folders, I come back to inbox just to find random collapse/expand view instead of my actual "last viewed" settings. For example, today I went to inbox, everything was collapsed. I change folders, come back to inbox and everything is expanded. It happens most of the time.

My wife recently had a change to her e-mail system. Long story short, 600 old e-mails (some more than 10 years old) were suddenly downloaded to her inbox & all of them had the same date & time in the inbox list! However, when opening the e-mails, one can see the true "received" date & time.I wanted to create a filter to find e-mail messages that were from prior years, so she could simply delete them wholesale. But the filter only seems to go by the date in the Inbox list. That's when I thought about searching for prior years in the message header, but there no longer seems to be a way to view these (as I can in Outlook 2007), let alone filter on information within them. Can anyone help me figure out how to do this?I had thought of simply searching for prior years within the body text (i.e. "2004"), then tagging all of the matching e-mails. But if someone wrote an e-mail within the past several days that happened to mention the year 2004, then my system would wrongly have it tagged for deletion. I only want to delete e-mails that were actually sent in 2004, not those that simply mention it...Can anyone suggest a way to access the message headers in a search / filter or suggest another way to do this?thanks!ToddT

A:How do I view/access Outlook 2010 message headers?

The full header can be viewed via the Tags option as shown here:http://its.yale.edu/how-to/article-...I have some older messages my inbox so I tried a few things. I'll tell you what worked and what didn't so you can get a feel for what you might have to do:I created a folder called 2012.I then created a rule using a condition "with specific words in the message header". The specific word I chose was 2012 and the action was to move messages to the 2012 folder. This sort of worked. It move all messages that contained a Received entry similar to 29 Dec 2012, but it all moved any message with strings like this in the header:ABCDEFG2012M5.xxxx.yy.COMThe next thing I tried was editing the rule to add a leading and trailing space around 2012 like you see in the date string. This worked much better, but it still picked up strings such as this, so even some messages that were received in 2015 were moved to the 2012 folder:X-Mailer: Roving Constant Contact 2012 (http://www.constantcontact.com)So, if I were you, I would try to create a list of words that narrowed down the hits that Outlook will return. Perhaps your list might include the year that the email was received but also exclude certain phrases if you know they exist. This of course, assumes that the header includes the original received date, and not the date that shows up in the Inbox list.Good luck!Click Here Before Posting Data or VBA Code ---> How To Post Data or Code.

A:Pictures showing red cross in Outlook 2010

Hello Sebbie,

Is there an option at the top of the email called download pictures from internet?

If so, this is to stop stop large emails being downloaded and using bandwith and PC hard drive space and to stop files infected being downloaded.

Personally i would leave it so you have to download the pictures manually by clicking on that option.

If you really did want to download automatically and you fully trust your email setup to detect funny emails then check this tutorial out - Outlook 2010: Download Images Automatically | Microsoft Outlook | Tech-Recipes

Otherwise, as i said, leave that option alone and download manually for safety reasons.

I tried to look at an old email today which I knew was in an archived folder. When I opened the folder, there were no emails showing at all. I looked at the folder's properties and ticked the box that says to display the number of emails in the folder. Now, next to the folder's name it shows that there are 101 emails in the folder, but none of them are showing. It just looks like an empty folder. I have a lot of folders, so I haven't checked all of them, but all of the other archived folders I have checked are displaying correctly. I can't see that any filters are active that would mean that some emails are hidden. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Ok, so we have Outlook 2010 at the office and I have a user that is getting emails from a company with links and email addresses in it and it's not showing up as a link. You can't click it to follow it, nothing. It's just showing up as plain text. It only happens from this certain user.

Also, when she forwards me the same email the links show up fine and I can click them without any problems. I see that the email when opened up said that it is being viewed as plain text but I can not change this. I checked all the settings and everything is set correctly, cause like I said before I can view the other emails just fine and the links show up without any issue.

Outlook Calendar shows start time in the monthly view but not the end time. I have right clicked on the calendar gone to Other Settings and checkmarked "Show End Time" but the end time still does not show. How do I make the start and end time show in the monthly view?

A:Outlook Calendar shows start time in the monthly view but not the end time.

You did not say what version of Outlook.

I am using Outlook 2007 and note the same as you - only the start time is displayed. I note on mine, if the end time was displayed, there would be little to no room for the Subject title so for me, I would rather have the appointment title instead of the end time. I think in a crowded field (as the monthly view can be) that is best for most people.

I don't see a fix for you. However, for a workaround, with Outlook being in "focus", if you hover over the appointment with your mouse, then the stop time is also displayed in a bubble.

My outlook email account is on exchange server. I had created some rules to move mails to other specific folders and to display a deskotp alert on message arrival on these folders. Back then it was showing the desktop alert but now it isn't.

Desktop alerts for inbox is still working fine. I even created a generic rule with no conditions and just the action to display the Desktop Alert for all incoming mails and that too is working fine. It doesn't work only when I try to implement desktop alerts on specific rules.

I tried exporting, deleting then importing back all the rules but no good.

I don't know if it is of any importance but here is what I did something recently. As it is a client side rule and will not work on outlook webapp so few days ago I created a copy of all the rules and removed the "Desktop alert" action so that this copy of rules will work for webapp. Still the desktop alerts worked on outlook client but after two days this problem of desktop alerts not showing started. I removed those copy of rules but still its not working. I am not sure if this is the cause of the problem.

Any ideas?

Have you reset the Desktop alert again. Open Outlook select File, then Options, then Mail & tick the box for Desktop Alert.

Hello,

Here's the background info:

We're on Exchange and we use the Lync tool. The user in question had her domain changed. I made the change in Lync as the change was already made in outlook. She then could not book online meetings and would get an error saying the user names in outlook and Lync were not the same even though they were.

To fix this, I deleted her profile and started outlook again. After her profile was downloaded from the exchange server, many of her new email she was receiving would appear with her name as the sender in her inbox. This is happening with most of her mail but not all.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

I'm using Windows 7 Pro x64 and Microsoft Outlook 2010 is not showing any pictures in the preview pane from Facebook messages along with pictures from a few other sites. It seemed to "just happen" one day a few weeks ago. Searched problem using Google and none of the fixes I found worked.
I have an i7 cpu with 12 GB RAM.

I am using WIndows calendar and I hate that it always has a few days at the top left over from the month before. I want a calendar that has JUST the month. Is there a way to get windows calender to be this way or is there another one I could download? For an example I posted windows calendar for September. I don't want August 28-31 at the top and I don't want October 1-8 at the bottom.

A:I need a calendar that shows ONLY the current month

I created an LDAP address book. It doesn't show up in the Navigation Pane for Contacts, so I can't add contacts to it. It does show up under Other Address Books when I click the Address Book button. When I try to add a New Entry, it says 'You cannot create entries for this address book'. How in the world to I access and use this address book?

Hello All - I ran into an issue where Outlook 2010 (Calendar) does not show certain options for a Calendar Event. Meeting that has been received and accepted, when opened does not have option of "Respond" and once that button is clicked drop down menu should display "Reply, Reply All... Reply with IM, etc."

Here is the screen-shot of it and how it is supposed to look like.. just not seeing it on my computer:
Note: I did notice when someone schedules an appointment in Calendar this option is not available; but other meeting invites co-worker of mine does have and I don't. Complete the same environment, same machines, same OS image (W7 64-bit Enterprise - company computers). Also, company IT is looking into this and so far they have not been able to find the culprit of this issue.

Thanks all!

A:MS Outlook 2010 / Calendar event missing "Respond" (Reply All, etc.)

Hi CarDusan,

Means you are missing the section (Change Response) through which a user can accept or decline events or Outlook appointments.

This issue arises when the following data file exists in the Windows Registry (with the values):

Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\Options\Calendar

DWORD: DisableResponseButtons
Value: 1

Use the given "Fix it for me" solution provided by Microsoft.
Manager is unable to respond to a meeting invite

Using Windows 7 Enterprise Edition (64 bit) and Office 2010. When dragging a message from mail to the Calendar (in the lower left under the folder list) to create a new meeting/appointment, the calendar dialog will "pop under". How do I get the calendar dialog box to grab focus?

Thank you

I have a list of data (for learning purposes) where one of the fields is the name of the month, i.e., a text field. If I sort on this field, it sorts months in alphabetical order.......April, December, February, etc. I would like it to sort in calendar order....January, February, March, etc.

Is this possible in Excel? in either '03 or '07?

I know I can do it in a pivot table, but I want to change the raw data to sort in calendar order.

Thanks

A:Sorting Month Names in Calendar Order

Yes, in 2007, you can drop down the sort & filter arrow and choose Custom Sort. In the Order field, select Custom List and it will bring you a list of choices, one of which is by month. Hope that helps.

Hi,

I can't get the popup reminders for the calendars to work. Neither in the Metro calendar nor in Outlook.

I also can't make them synchronize.

Does anyone know?

Do sound alerts exist at all in Windows calendars or just pop ups if any?

Thanks.

I'm trying to help a friend who has just installed Office 2016 on her computer, which was recently upgraded from Win7 to Win10.

She's been using Outlook.com and has accumulated a fair amount of email, contacts and calendar appointments. I've managed to get her email to show up by adding it to Outlook 2016 as a POP3 account. I was able to import her contacts into Outlook 2016 from a file called OutlookContacts.csv. Now I'm trying to get her calendar with all its many calendars and appointments into Outlook 2016.

I'm not sure why but the appointments all show up just fine in Mail and Calendar for Windows 10, even though we did nothing to put them there (as far as we know). But she'd like them to appear when she clicks on the Calendar in Outlook 2016 and I can't find any information on how to do that. I've also looked for some kind of Export function in the Mail and Calendar for Windows 10 app but I came up empty.

How do I get her calendar into Outlook 2016?

I can't be the only one who finds Microsoft *awful* at documenting this kind of basic functionality. Millions of people must have tried to do the same thing before me but if there's any information out there on how to do this, it has eluded me so far....

A:Export calendar from Mail and Calendar for Windows 10 to Outlook 2016?

You can manually export calendars from Outlook.com using a round-a-bout method I posted at this link. However, I don't think that's going to help you because what you really want to do is set up Outlook 2016 so that her email, calendar and contacts sync with (and stay in sync with) her Outlook.com account.

Therefore, instead of setting email up as a POP account and then importing calendar, contacts, etc. separately, why not just setup Outlook 2016 to work with her Outlook.com account? I haven't done it with Outlook 2016, only older Outlook versions that used Hotmail Connector, however the following instructions for Outlook 2016 seem fairly straight forward.

If she has two-factor authentication switched on for her Outlook.com account, then you may need to generate an app password from her Outlook.com account, and use that as the password instead of the actual Microsoft Account password.

The Basics
Using Windows 10 Calendar (Outlook) as my primary calendar. The calendar contains two accounts, my Microsoft Live Account and my Gmail Account. In the left panel, I have the Gmail Calendar checked ? the Outlook calendar is unchecked. When I add an event, the default dropdown is my Gmail calendar which is what I want as my default.
My Problem
Events that I add to my calendar show up in both my Outlook calendar and my Gmail calendar as expected ? or maybe not quite as expected. I?ve just discovered that if I add an event several months in the future, it momentarily appears on my Outlook calendar and then is deleted (I see a brief deleted message appear). If I then go directly to my Gmail calendar, the event I just added shows up as expected. As of today (March 24), the cutoff date when the Windows/Outlook calendar automatic deletes begin to occur is September 7 (or 167 days from now). I haven?t yet experimented to see if the cutoff date moves forward every day.
Very strange. Anybody know what?s going on. If you have a similar calendar setup as mine, give it a try and see if your experience is the same. By the way, my Windows 10 system is fully updated.

Re: Outlook 2003
Is there is a way to designate a Shared Outlook Calendar (that is used as our company-wide calendar) as an individual's default calendar. We are set up with a Microsoft XP Exchange Server.
The goal is to have the company-wide calendar download to a Blackberry Curve as the user's default calendar. Right now he sees his own calendar which he does not need. We have the Blackberry Desktop Manager installed on his network computer.
Thank you.

A:Can a shared Outlook '03 calendar be designated as one's default calendar?

As an addendum, it would be preferable that the Outlook/Blackberry user not be able to modify the office-wide Shared Calendar (should there be a way for him to see it) so that all changes still go through our calendar maven. Thank you.

Hello everybody,
my online outlook calendar does not sync with my Windows Calendar app. I am talking about the online calendar which can be accessed after sign-in here: Prihláste sa do svojho konta Microsoft which for me used to always take all the information from my desktop calendar app, and vice-versa, when I entered an event online, it also appeared in my desktop app. This was useful for syncing with my phone and generally accessing my calendar when not having my laptop on me. This is now impossible for me to do.

Now they don't sync and it's quite annoying, I am getting desperate and thinking of using some other app (if you have tips, tell me. I went through this: Resolve sync issues in Mail and Calendar apps in Windows 10 - Office Support it did not solve the problem. I have updates on (I apply them manually). I have Windows 10 all up to date. and all settings allow calendar to be synced. I checked if I am signed in to the same account, I only have one account in the app and the same one online.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Also, I am adding a picture if it helps, on the left is my calendar, when I access it online, on the right is my Windows App. You can clearly see that there is a lot more on the right. I just want the events to appear in the online calendar as well, as they did before...

I have the syntax for copying the entry to another public folder but am wondering if anyone has a mock up of what the destination code would like to copy it to another mailbox via VBA?

Here is what I use for the public folder, which works fine right now:

csFolderPath = "Public Folders\All Public Folders\Shared
Calendars\"Calendar Name"

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I was wondering if anybody has seen this. couple of month ago a user received a new laptop and I copied her files over from the old laptop to the new one. when I attached the archived .pst files to her outlook and was went on my way. i get a call now saying that her archived emails in the archived inbox isn't showing but archived emails in the archived sub-folders are showing. I checked to make sure there wasn't any filters set up, and there wasn't. I've never seen this before. I've copied .pst files from one laptop/comps to another without any issues. Unfortunately, her old laptop was wiped clean and reissued as a spare so that avenue is closed. Has anybody seen something like this before? I haven't been able to find anything on the net besides asking to check the view settings or filters...
