NIS 2004 - Error message: Sndsrvc has caused an error in KERNEL 32.DLL

Q: NIS 2004 - Error message: Sndsrvc has caused an error in KERNEL 32.DLL

Hi there,

Since I have installed NIS 2004 on Win ME, when I am doing the check to autorize my applications to access Internet, a pop-up with the folowing message:

Sndsrvc has caused an error in KERNEL 32.DLL

and then also another one with:

Runtime Error!
Program: C:\PROGRAM FILES\NORTON INTERNET SECURITY\ALESCAN.EXE
abnormal program termination
I then used ad-aware 6.0, cleaned everythings, scandisk, defrag. Still have the same problem.

Here is my HiJack log:

Greetings BSOD Kernel Dump Experts,
I hate to report that my Windows 7 laptop has been crashing often for the past few weeks. It happens when I close the lid to sleep the laptop. Surprisingly, I can prevent it from crashing by observing whether if it sleeps. If it refuses to do so after a few minutes, I know it will crash, so I hold the power button and shut it down. But sometimes, I forget to watch it sleep, and it crashes.
You probably can tell that it first happened in 2014, but suddenly, it's started crashing (not always complete BSODs due to me cutting power) very often. Apparently, it seems to be caused by a bug that Microsoft issued a hotfix for:https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/975599
I tried the hotfix, but it returns this error message "This update is not applicable to your computer".
Thanks for any help!
System specs as requested:
· Windows 7 Home Premium
· 64-bit
· Windows 7 Home Premium
· The laptop came from Staples, so yes it comes with a "Certificate of Authenticity".
· Bought it on August 12, 2012
· I have never re-installed the OS. It came with Windows 7, and it's not a dual-boot system.
· Intel® Pentium® CPU B970 @2.30GHz 2.30GHz
· Intel® HD Graphics (??????)
· Toshiba
· TOSHIBA Satellite C855-S5236
· Laptop
P.S. I do have avast! installed. Not sure why perfmon says I don't?

Do you have any CD/DVD burning software running in the back? Some new games detect that and send out error messages.

Try CTRL-ATL-DEL, and see if there are any extensions running to a burning program.

I am working on a user's PC here in the office running Windows XP (I don't have all the specs, but I can get them if they are important) and she is running in to a problem with MapPoint 2004.

She has been using the program previously without any problems but today when she tries to search for any address it comes up with an error message saying that the program needs to close and asking her to send the details to Microsoft. The error details are:
This application is unable to continue due to an internal error (6-40028-1073741819)

Error Signature:
AppName: mappoint.exe
AppVer: 11.0.18.1900
ModName: mappoint.exe
ModVer: 11/0/18/1900
Offset: 0022189

Below this it list some reporting details and the links to the technical information and the data collection policy.

I have tried repairing the install, but that did not work. I found a page on the M$ KB which said to update the MDAC or reinstall the MDAC so I tried both of those but that did not fix the problem.

When I was logged on as the administrator, I was able to open the program and run a search just fine, but when the user logged back on, she still got the error message again.

Any thoughts?

A:Error message when searching for addresses in MapPoint 2004.

Additional information.

I have been back over to the user and asked her to open the progam directly from the Start menu, not from any shortcuts she uses. She tried that and was able to open the application and run a search for an address with no problems.

The user had saved several files and it appears that two of those files are the ones giving her the error. When she opens either of the files in MapPoint and runs a search, she gets the error I described above.

Does anyone know of a way to recover corrupt MapPoint files?

I just started getting an error message in IE6.0 that pops up and says IEXPLORE...and error has occured and you can either click ignore and go on, or click close and lose any unsaved information (very rough paraphrasing).

I get this message when visiting just about any web sites (weather.com, pcpitstop.com, cbs.sportsline.com, etc.). Sometimes I can click ignore and continue, other times all I can do is click close and close down IE. When I click close, I get another error box that says IE has caused a general protection fault:

My OS is Windows 2K Professional. I began receiving a ("!) message about "Lite.inst. exe" subsequent to installing Kodak EasyShare software on my system. I have been in communication with Kodak many, many times regarding this matter. None of their possible resolutions worked. The following information may aid someone in aiding me to finally rid myself of this aggravating "pestilence"!

I receive this message directly after booting up my Windows system, as Windows is loading. The message appears on my Desktop and can be closed out, or will disappear on its own after approx. 10 minutes. Advanced searches do not indicate that a Lite Install Executor" is currently on my system. "BackWeb" (which has been associated with like-problems in Windows XP) is also not on my system. Furthermore, my system is current regarding all Microsoft Critical Updates. The Kodak Updater (associated with this problem) has also been removed from my system. The Kodak software has been thoroughly removed (per detailed instructions supplied by Kodak) and reinstalled.

Lastly, Microsoft.com has also not been able to resolve this issue satisfactorily.

HELP ME, PLEASE!!!

I have Win XP Home on my computer. When I boot up, an error message appears which states in pertinent part: "Windows cannot find 'c:\program'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file ...." I assure you that is the exact message.

In contacting a computer expert on this website, he concluded (after I used Hijack This) that a particular line that showed up in Hijack was causing the problem. I "fixed" that line using Hijack, and it seemed to correct the problem. However, when I rebooted a second time, the problem came back.

The line appears to refer to an update for software used to control a general remote control made by a subsidiary of Logitech.

The line in question reads in Hijack This as follows: "O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [BackWeb Upgrade] C:\Program Files\Logitech\Desktop Messenger\8876480\Users\Peter Nolan\NewVersion\upgrade.exe 30 PlacedChanDir".

Any help on this problem would be appreciated?

Thanks.

Hello,

I was running the "windows live onecare safety scanner" (which doesn't seem to be particularly safe to me!) on my desktop and when I came back to check on the scan I found the following error message on my black screen:

"Windows could not start because of an error in the software. Please report this problem as: load needed DLLs for kernel. Please contact your support person to report this problem."

XP is not able to boot, not even in safe mode. Every time I start the computer I get the same error message.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
Thanks,

Herringtrader

A:error message: load needed DLLs for kernel

I really suspect this is a hardware problem -- such as a failed motherboard or ram -- but you might want to try reloading the operating system if you have a Windows CD with the current version.

If you install the cracked software, you are running executable files from these dubious, unknown sources. You are in effect giving these sources access to information on your hard disk, and potential control over the operation of your computer.

Hello All,

I am experiencing a very debilitating issue with my laptop. The error indicated on the title of this thread appears every time I try to open multiple programs on my machine; the error is present in at least the following applications: Windows explorer, HP SimplePass, HP CSI Shell, HP Support Assistant, HP Installer, Adobe Acrobat X Pro, Synaptics TouchPad V7.5... and perhaps more.

I include with this message a zip file with some recent logs (CBS. log, Errors Event Viewer, Last Scan.txt, Malware log.txt, Check Disk Event Viewer log) for your review so that both of us can save some valuable time.

Note: I am not by any means an expert on either computer software or hardware so, I would really appreciate if you help me out to sort this issue having that in mind.

Thanks in advance for your help.

A:Error message: "A problem caused the program to stop working..."

Hi,

Can you remember when this problem started to happen, if so had you made any changes to the computer such as software installations?

If so, you can try a system restore or use a backup if you have one to roll the os back to a time when all was working well and see if this solves your problem

I can almost guarantee that this is either a damaged or corrupt shell or a conflict with some software, as the fact that you can load the operating system up and get past post shows that it's not hardware related in anyway

Thank you

Occasionally, the computer will freeze up and make the "dieing" clicking noise, with the hard drive working furiously. Usually, I preform a hard reset, but on two occasions, I let the computer run, and I recieved similar blue screens of death, with the hard drive access light solid.

The first:
KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR
...(usual info on what may have caused error, how to start safe mode, etc)
*** STOP: 0x0000007A(0xC03E11F0,0xC000000E,0xF847CC22,0x009A2860)

The second:

*** ftdisk.sys-Address F85F1642 base at F85E7000, DateStamp 3b7d8419
Beginning dump of physical memory.

On the next occasion, I was trying to replicate the error after a day of no trouble, and did so by entering standby mode, then starting the computer back up. Surprisingly, I got this after saving a file(which, btw, didn't save)

KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR

Beginning dump of physical memory.

After the error messsage, the computer auto-restarts, and runs really slowly, requiring a shut-down, wait a minute, start-up

According to microsoft, the second parameter in each of these is the status (http://www.microsoft.com/resources/d...d_stp_fvlq.asp), and 0xC000000E is STATUS_NO_SUCH_DEVICE. I have run mulitiple test... Read more

I'm getting BSOD during normal use (whether it be web browsing or during a game). Memtest86 got 0 errors in 4 passes. CrystalDiskInfo and SSDlife both say that my drives are "healthy." CPU temps tend to hover between 40-60 degrees Celsius.

I've attached the dump files as the forum rules stated. Since this could be a drivers issue, I included a drivers list as well.

Here are some dump analysis from WhoCrashed.

Recently my old laptop has been playing up, I don't use it but my parents do. So, the laptop was infected with the Antivirus 2009 after surfing the web and I removed it using malwarebytes program. Then shortly after the laptop would show a blue screen, displaying "KERNEL STACK INPAGE ERROR" and then reboot.

After the reboot, my laptop seemed to run fine, I downloaded AVG antivirus software to check if there was a boot sector virus (?) and after running the laptop for about 30 minutes, it showed the blue screen again and reboots. This kept on occuring.

Then I tried to reformat the laptop. The first time I tried to format it as FAT32, it got to about 60% before rebooting. The second time I managed to get past the formatting (FAT32 [quick])and I got onto the part of installing windows. About 20 minutes into the installation. A stop error appeared "STOP C0000218 Unknown Hard Error". Could the hard disk be corrupt?

Any ideas on what I can do to savage the laptop?
Thanks!

This is generally a registry corruption issue. There is a technically complicated method of recovery, but if the drive is really bad you are just going to get it again.

Before replacing the drive, and since you have already done a clean install just prior --you might do another, but try removing and reseating the drive first.

I have been getting error 0x8007001f whenever I attempted to install the windows 10 anniversary update. I went through most post suggestions for fixing this error. What I found I have not seen posted before.
I have one of those Dells (XPS 8900) similar to Alienware which has the system on a SSD and a second conventional HHD for data.
This configuration, if unchanged, still places user data (such as Documents) on the smaller SSD. In order to have all user data put on the larger HHD I defined a soft symbolic link from the SSD to the HHD for the Users directory. This worked great until my computer attempted to install the anniversary update of windows 10. I kept getting the 0x800701f error no matter what I tried. That is, until I restored the original Users directory on the SSD. After that the update went through just fine.
After the update I relinked the Users directory and everything came up as before but with the windows update installed.
If you have linked the users directory as I did just unlink (see below) and the update should go through.
Notes:
The mklink command is used to define the symbolic link. It should be run from an administrator command prompt.
(mklink /d Users D:\Users)
Rename the original Users directory on C: before defining the link. If you did not then you will have to copy the Users directory from D: to C: after deleting the link, then delete and relink after the windows update.
To delete the link just do an "rmdir Users" from administrat... Read more

I have been using the same HP Pavilion tx1000 for a year and a half with no software or compatibility issues. I run Vista Home Premium, Service Pack 1 - 32 bit. Slowly this message began to appear with every microsoft program I opened and then started to spread to non microsoft programs. I tried reinstalling the programs, doing a system restore to the oldest restore point I could, I also tried uninstalling any window updates that were installed right before my problems. I have read some strings that indicate it may be a compatibility issue between the service pack 1 and vista but the service pack came with the computer and it has been working fine until recently. I am at loss what to try next. Has anyone using Vista Home Home Premium experience anything like this!!!

I have been getting an Entourage error
Can not read data in this .rge file.
First of all, I am subscribed to about 15 projects, so I don't know which one the "this" refers to. Also, there is nothing in the error log to indicate which is the problem project. Additionally, there are 4 users who are sharing these project files, and only two of us are getting this error message.

I have searched everywhere for what this error could mean and can't find anything. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Today I got my new laptop and decided to dual boot Ubuntu and Windows 7 on it. After several hours of partitioning and researching, I ran into many issues. Eventually I decided to boot Ubuntu from a USB drive, open up Gparted, and delete any and all Linux partitions while expanding the size of the Windows partition back to normal.

Unfortunately, in the process, I must have made an error, because now upon startup I get the "bootmgr is missing" error. I don't have a recovery CD nor does my laptop have a CD drive, so that's out of the question, but I know for a fact my Hard Drive has a recovery partition on it. I want to restore my computer back to normal, keeping my old files if necessary. However, since I just got the computer today, I clearly don't have anything on there I can't afford to lose, so if I must do a factory reset I will.

Hello,

I am having a problem loading Dreamweaver MX 2004. Everytime I load up the program I get a pop up:

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.

Now I have looked on the Macromedia site and there is nothing about a fix on the site for this. I have also tried uninstalling and re-installing my copy and yet I get the same error.

Is there anyone who knows what steps I should be taking now? Or does anyone know of a fix for this problem.

My thanks in advance,

I have seen this error in regards to other applications, and it is one of the most frustrating one I have ever seen! There never seems to be a rhyme or reason for it. I guess the next step is to go to Microsofts site and make sure you have the latest .net framework updates.

I am currently running Norton Systemworks 2003 on my computer under Windows 2000. I am trying to upgrade to Norton Systemworks 2004. The installation works fine, but when I try to run live update or register the program, the program acts like there is no internet connection. I am connected via DSL and it is in fact present. Norton Systemworks 2003 had no problem with the internet connection but 2004 doesn't want to work. I have looked at the connection options and verified that they are set to automatically detect settings, which is exactly the same as with the 2003 version. I even tried uninstalling 2003 and running a clean install on 2004 but with the same problem.

My dad recently bought a cheap program with 10,000 mixed drink combination. He is running on windows visa with 2GB ram and an Intel Core 2 CPU at 2.4 GHz. When we run the program on his computer we get this runtime error '2004' - out of memory.

I looked it up on google and I guess certain programs having trouble running on computers with over 512 ram, but I found no realistic solutions. It's not a problem with the program, but I guess the way virtually any version of windows treats the program, or something like that. Anyone know how we can work around this problem? Thank you!

Hi,
I just cleaned up a PC using the methods you guys recommend and now I am installing NIS2004. After a long install because of downloading updates over the net, dial up, I was configuring the SPAM software. Then a message came up that an internal error occurred and the software needed to be reinstalled. This is the second installation and second time the message had come up. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it possible to solve? Should I scrap this and use something else? Its a Windows 2000 PC. I checked the Symantec site and saw a few possible explanations but not specifically for NIS 2004.

Also I had Spybot installed but uninstalled it because I thought that NIS 2004 was sufficient. When the Norton scan runs, even though I uninstalled Spybot the scan stops on some files that are encrypted and have spybot in the path. I thought maybe these were quarantined items or something. How do I get rid of these files so that the scan can complete without manual intervention?
thanks so much!!!

I don't even know what that could be. I've tried it on two computers and get the same result. I've checked for downloads and couldn't find any, and the on-disc documentation doesn't seem to have anything addressing this specific problem. I checked the disc and it appears practically flawless. I just built a computer. Win XP SP2, AMD 3200, 2gb Ram, Asus MB, Radeon 9600 All In Wonder graphics card.

When I try installing Quicken it gets around 90% of the way through and crashes the machine. The screen goes blue and shows a full page of error info which disappears too quickly to allow me to read what it says and the machine reboots.

It has copied over a bunch of files by that time but apparently hasn't entered Quicken into the Windows registry yet (since it doesn't show up in Add/Remove programs).

I tried booting without any services running, but same result. Any idea what might be conflicting here?

Now Symantec seems to have changed its "solutions" and made it more difficult to do this. After receiving a PC Powerpoint file and opening it, I cannot edit and save the document. I get the following error message:

There was an error accessing ComputerName/Users:usernameesktop:filename.ppt.

Sometimes, I also get the following, secondary message.

This is a Read-Only file. Do You Want to Save it Under a Different Name?

I have saved it with a different name, and the same thing keeps happening. I've tossed Preference files, reinstalled Office 2004, made sure I had all application upgrades, and nothing seems to help.

Any ideas?
Thanks.

Every time that I open Dreamweaver MX 2004 or Flash MX 2004, I get an error message saying Cannot load a transcoding service Xerces panic error. I already downloaded a new version of Dreamweaver and the problem still exists. I am running on Windows XP Media Center Edition. If anyone can tell me how to fix this without reformatting my computer, it'd be greatly appreciated.

A:Dreamweaver MX 2004 Xerces panic error

Hiya and welcome

Are you still having this problem? If so, have you tried uninstalling then reinstalling the software? Also, what happens if you try and open them up in safemode:

http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.shtml

I have found one solution, though not sure if it would work in this case, as its a different program. However, I will post it, as its taken me a while to find it:

http://www.webdesignforums.net/showthread.php?t=9344&highlight=transcoding

However, upon further reading, I've found that Xerces isn't Macromedia's, but an XML parsing tool used by many software compaines, eg Kodak.

So, before we look at the above link, as that may be the last thing, lets try a few things.

Go to Start | Find Files, and search for

xerces*.dll

Are there many? If so, try to rename the ones that are not inside the configuration folder of Dreamweaver MX to xerces.dll.bak, by rightclicking on the file and choosing Rename. Can you tell me where they are?

Launch Dreamweaver MX and see if you will still have the issue.

Print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should 'not' have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.

Download CleanUp! http://cleanup.stevengould.org/ (Alternate Link if main link don't work - http://www.greyknight17.com/spy/CleanUp.exe ) and install it. Don't run it yet.

Download Ewido Security Suite at http://www.ewido.net/en/download/

1. Install Ewido Security Suite.
2. When installing, under 'Additional Options' uncheck:
* Install background guard
* Install scan via context menu
3. Launch Ewido, there should be an icon on your desktop, double click it.
4. The program will now open to the main screen.
5. When you run Ewido for the first time, you might get a warning 'Database could not be found!'. Click OK. We will fix this in a moment.
6. You will need to update Ewido to the latest definition files.
* On the left hand side of the main screen click update.
* Then click on start update.
7. The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed. The status bar at the bottom will display 'Update successful'.
8. Exit Ewido. DO NOT scan yet.

I recently have been getting the Error message Windows has encountered a critical error and will close in one minute.
I do not have the Brazilian financial Active X control that became corrupted, or if I do, I cannot find it. I have Vista 32-bit on an Acer Aspire laptop. This message comes up after I login and I can either access the Internet via Safe mode w/Networking, or do a System Restore, at which time the laptop works for about two or three times and then the error message comes back.
Do I have a bug? Please help!!!!

A:Error Message 0x80070005 critical error - windows will close in one minute

I followed the preparation guide and when I tried to run dds.scr, the black screen came up really fast and then disappeared and nothing ever came up. When I tried to run RootRepeal.exe, I was able to tell it to scan, but then I never received a report. When I tried to run it again, it said that I didn't have permission, and when I tried to delete it, it said the same thing! I am the administrator...I have Vista 32bit and I am getting the error code 0x80070005 windows has encountered a critical error and will now close. I run system restore to get it to stop, but that only works a few times, and then I get the error message again.
What do I do now??

hi everyone,
sometimes i get this error message that says "An error occured inside a plug-in contained on this page.".... when i get this error i click ok.. then another pops up and after i click ok about 5 times i have to restart my computer.

one of the sites that this happens to me with ishttp://www.gnronline.com/ when i click on the merchandise link at that site. i think the problem may have to do with quicktime because usually i see a quicktime box above the error messages. can anyone help please?

A:Error message: An error occured inside a plug-in contained on this page.

Hiya

I don't have Quicktime installed on this pc, and I didn't see the error that you're getting. Do you have Quicktime installed?

Also, in any other sites, does the error come up with the QT box?

If not, lets see a log, just to be sure:

go to www.spychecker.com/program/hijackthis.html , and download 'Hijack This!'.
Unzip, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, save the log somewhere, and please copy & paste its contents to the forum.

It will possibly show other issues deserving our attention, but most of what it lists will be harmless or even required, so do NOT fix anything yet.
Someone here will be happy to help you analyze the results.

Hi

Running Windows XP Pro SP3

I keep randomly getting this error.

I found some information from 2003 that would lead me to believe that what I have is like the W32.Blaster.Worm documented back then, but after running symantec's specific tool to get rid of Blaster I ended up finding nothing.

Also, I've run many Malwarebytes scans, Spybot Search and Destroy scans and iolo Anti Virus scans(I know it's not the best but others seem to clash with my System Mechanic because it's set to work with the iolo one) which all turn up nothing.
This has been bugging me for a few weeks now while I tried to find out what was going on when I had the free time to run these long scans. At the same time my services.exe and one of my svchost.exe files are always running at about 10% of my CPU each and it definitely seems related to the NT AUTHORITY RPC errors I'm getting now.
Help with this will be extremely appreciated.

Hello there!

I'm currently running Vista on my Compaq laptop. Unfortunately (long story) my key for Avast Antivirus expired in January 09 and I was unable to input the key code until September 09, so I guess the virus found it's way onto my computer during that time.
I ran a scan after finaly inputting the key and Avast found several infected items. Some could be removed, but since that scan I've been getting the following message after starting-up the laptop:-

Error loading C:/Windows/TEMP/msxm192z.dll

Also, since the initial scan and appearance of this error message I've been having various problems -
* Laptop running slow
* Media player not running (won't open/run) - cannot play any music!
* Photo Gallery icon blank and won't open - cannot access my photos!

I've since uninstalled Avast and installed a free version of AVG. Neither seem to be able to get rid of this virus.

I also followed the advice given to another member of this forum. I downloaded Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.
This is the MBAM report from the scan (which picked up several infected items):-

Hello everyone,
I recently had a virus on my Windows xp computer (one of those ones that pretends to be an anti-virus program telling you your computer is infected). Before I had the chance to remove it I found I was unable to start up my computer. Instead of the usual user login screen I had a black screen with this message:

"lsass.exe - Application Error". The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on ok to terminate the application

Once I click okay nothing happens, the screen just remains blank. I have tried going into safe mode (F8 key) but it doesn?t seem to work. I hold the button down but the computer just loads up like normal and goes onto the dreaded black screen.

I have done some quick research and found that the problem is either the OS is broken, or a virus is pretending the OS is broken. Either way I have no idea what to do.

Any help is much appreciated. Please note however I am pretty clueless when it comes to computers, thus please try to assume as little prior knowledge as is reasonably possible and include simple step by step instructions if you can. I apologise for my ignorance.

If you need any further information let me know. Note as I have no laptop currently I will have to wait until I am in work to respond.

Thanks in advance!

I'm having a problem with my sister in law's computer. Originally, she had that annoying XP 2008 virus/spyware, which I think I managed to get rid of with Malwarebytes' Anti Malware and System Mechanic 7. Now I have a new problem. After receiving a recent download from microsoft, upon restarting, I get the blue screen of death with this message;

STOP: C000021a (Fatal System Error) The Windows Logon Process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000005 (0x00000000 0x00000000)

I can't get anywhere into Windows, I've done F2, F8, F12, everything I could think of without risking more damage since I'm not trained for this. I've booted from the system mechanic CD with the Hard Drive recovery, and while it said it found and fixed a problem, it didn't fix this one. I have no windows CD. The computer is a Dell, and it's running Windows XP service pack 2 with Explorer 6. Heeeeeelp! Other than the F keys, I can't get anywhere with this computer.

Hello ,

Im using access and I have a combo box and an unbound field that picked up the column 1 from a table. Im using On change event. .It seemed that everything is ok when i put the first field , the second ( unbound) field automatically populate the second column from the table. The problem is when i used a data which is not on the table a box came out and say (Runtime error '3314'. You must enter a value in the 'missing field)' field.

I would be very happy for the message but this is not a normal MSGBOX. Ithink if i say it correctly , this msg came from the vba codes and block everything because below the box it has this END and DEBUG. i think my users will freak out if they press DEBUG.

Why this message came out the way it is, the code that I have is as follows:
Private Sub Arrv_IATA_Code_Change()
Me.Arrival_Point.Value = Me.Arrv_IATA_Code.Column(1)

End Sub
There must be some code that i can add to display the alert message without coming from VBA.

Thanks

A:Solved: error message 'runtime error '3314'

You should check that there is something in the Column(1).

I think I might of found a solution to this problem. At first I went to C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\Drivers\W32X86\LXCItime.dll and removed the dll file to see if that made a different and it didn't.
Then I navigated my way to Registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run). I right clicked reg value LXCICATS, selected modify and removed the entry ",RunDLLEntry". with out quotes. Restarted my pc and did not get the error anymore. Went back into the registry and found that registry had re created the ",RunDLLEntry" I had deleted. Anyway this worked for me and hopefully for others.

UPdate: Still had issues after removal of above entry. Went back in to registry, same entry and removed "DRIVERS\W32X86\3\LXCItime.dll,RunDLLEntry". Don't know if I'm on the right track or not, but someone might be able to use this to further troubleshoot this issue. Just a side note, that after removal of this last entry that start up seemed to be kinda weird as in a slight hesitation. Anyway for what its worth, good luck.

A:Lxcitime.dll Error error message for runtime.dll when boot up

Hello, I moved this to the Am I Infected forum as there are not the required logs posted for this forum. Its not unusual to receive such an error after using specialized fix tools.A "Cannot find...", "Could not run...", "Error loading... or "specific module could not be found" message is usually related to malware that was set to run at startup but has been deleted. Windows is trying to load this file but cannot locate it since the file was mostly likely removed during an anti-virus or anti-malware scan. However, an associated orphaned registry entry remains and is telling Windows to load the file when you boot up. Since the file no longer exists, Windows will display an error message. You need to remove this registry entry so Windows stops searching for the file when it loads. To resolve this, download Autoruns, search for the related entry and then delete it.Create a new folder on your hard drive called AutoRuns (C:\AutoRuns) and extract (unzip) the file there. (click here if you're not sure how to do this.)Open the folder and double-click on autoruns.exe to launch it.Please be patient as it scans and populates the entries. When done scanning, it will say Ready at the bottom.Scroll through the list and look for a startup entry related to the file(s) in the error message.Right-click on the entry and choose delete.Reboot your computer and see if the startup error returns.Credit to quietman7

A:Error:720 Error Message When You Try to Establish a Dial-Up Connection

Welcome to TSF,

First off, see if a System Restore would work. Restore it to a point where you were able to connect.

If the first recommendation didn't help at all, see if a resolution here helps.

An update will be appreciated.

I apparently lost my hard drive on my Dell Inspiron 2650, and this message below came up. There is a similar message on the threads listed however, the stop code is different on mine. Also, after this the screen says "no operating system found" When I try to install the system again it says no hard drive found.
I have replaced the hardrive once with another 20 gig from ebay of the same type and model number and now this one has done the same thing within 20 days.

I am not a computer mechanic and have limited knowledge of computers.
Can anyone help please?

thanks

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to.

Kernel_Data_Inpage_Error

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen then restart your computer. If this screen appears again then follow these steps.

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properlly installed. If this is a new installation ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need

If the problem continues disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as cacheing and shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer and press F8 and select Advance Startup options and then select safe mode.

Hey guys, I have a dell inspiron 1545, windows 7 64 bit, 18 months old, it recently crashed. I was playing music on Grooveshark when it started clicking loudly, it then went to a blue screen which said something about a kernel but it disappeared so fast I couldn't read it properly. Then it tried to reboot but it froze so I turned it of manually with the power button left it for a few minutes and turned on. It has been running normally ever since apart from a faint internal clicking that I had not noticed prior to the blue screen. Please help and if you could keep it simple that would be good because I'm not that computer savvy, thanks

Well i'm new here and i would like to say one thing and if this is the wrong palce to post this than please moves this anyway I don't know squat about computers. Recently i have had this message that pops up every time i turn on my pc. The error message says," nt kernel error 1256......." I can't remember more but it has something to do with the system registy.
It slows my computer down alot and causes many crashes of the computer and lots of other bad stuff. I can't even use my computer to its full extent. I'm using a sony vaio windows xp.
Its kinda old like 7 years old but i really don't have the cash as of now to get a new one. If some stuff is need to buy like programs or w/e i'm down with that but they gotta be purchasable from the store because i don't trust internet. I've been scammed many times by people saying they can fix my computer with this and that and these kinda programs saying all i gotta do i pay 30$. I will buy stuff from store if i need to but it has be like under 50$ cause my dad is like MEGA cheap. I really need help and will update with more details of the problem when it pops up again( it pops up every now and then) I also have no idea what i did.

Update: Well the error also seems to mention a kernel debugger and some more numbers. I've fixed it once but it comes back in about a week or so. I don't remember how i fixed it though

Hey guys, so, im getting the ye ol' Kernel 43; long story short, i was getting constant BSOD because of bad timings on my rams, i fixed that by enabling DOCP on my motherboard and while it "overclocked" my ram, it did a mini auto overclock on my CPU, a 4 year old Phenom II BE 960T, while it was running slightly hotter, it wasnt anything critical, well the BSOD stopped...till i started getting this kernel; back then it was 2 weeks apart from each error sometimes even a week, i thought i fixed that, by removing the CPU overclock and manually setting my rams. But last night, i got a new kernel, 1 month and 7 days later.

I dont really know what else to do, is the CPU dieing? is it getting fried? the PSU is brand new and its a EVGA 600B Certified. I guess, here is the log

Merely an intuitive accessment, but the fact that the problem occurs during games, and with the color changes, makes me wonder how you installed the video card and driver. Boot into Safe Mode, open the Device Manager and uninstall the display adapter. Select Show Hidden Devices...just in case there is a ghost of the previous video card (if there is, delete it), run Driver Sweeper to remove any remanents of the driver itself. Do not touch anything that says VGA, reboot to Safe Mode and reinstall the driver.

OK I ran liveupdate and it would not update NORTON INTERNET SECURITY UPDATES and got an error 1806. OK I clicked on the "+" sign and the file NORTON INTERNET SECURITY PROFESSIONAL UPDATES and an error 6004.

I went to Symantec's site and it told me to find the files in the liveupdate downloads file and delete them then rerun liveupdate. I did that and the problem still occurs.

I believe the problem is with Norton but they are never helpful. I would rather donate here where I have been helped so many times before.
