Critical Error Occurred While Opening the Database File

Q: Critical Error Occurred While Opening the Database File

About a year ago I installed a cyber sitter called "iProtectyou" on my son's computer. I decided to uninstall it for him recently because it didn't work, and it only seemed to give him a hassle when he tried to use the internet or play games. When I tried to reinstall it, it would not take the password I used (I could of forgotten it, but I had it written down).

After hours of trying to uninstall it, I went to the internet and Googled how to get rid of cyber sitter's with a forgotten password. Luckily there were several people with the same problem. I downloaded the applications they gave out on the site, and eventually got rid of it. They also had me go to the "Registry Editor" (run: regedit) and screw around in there. The program still shows up in "Programs and Features" but theirs no publisher now, and I still cannot install it. Except now, instead of asking for a password, it just says that their was an error with database.

Now when ever we open up anything, we are swarmed with windows telling us "Crictical Error Occured While Opening Database."

Any help would be great.

In our company we decided to upgrade our old Access 2003 at last. And after this upgrading I can?t load any .mdb files. They are inaccessible. Every attempt to open it is accompanied by an error: ?An error occurred while loading Form_FormName. Do you want to continue?? If I click Yes, then pops up another error: ?Invalid procedure call or argument?. Colleagues tell me that it a cause of corruption and that the cause is upgrading of the Access I want to know, is it true? Which follow-up actions do we make?

A:An error occurred while loading Form in Access database

Hi Quetzal, welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

Later versions of Access use an .accdb suffix & not the .mdb suffix & this is the cause of your problem. As you mentioned updating from Access 2003 I assume you are now using Access 2013, so these websites might help you.
In the first one scroll down to the links contained in it & follow those as well. The second one may not be relevant but it does contain some info that might be of interest to you.

access 2013 won't open or offer to convert MDB files - Microsoft Community

When I try to connect with the wireless network through Intel(R) PROSet/Wireless, the following error message appears:
"An internal database error occurred when saving/updating the profile"

I tried roll back and re-installing the drivers but none worked...

the spec is,

Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG

let me know if you guys got any idea with this problem...

thanks a lot guys.

A:"An internal database error occurred when saving/updating the profile"

Dear Animex:

I had exactly the same problem, with the same hardware. This is how I fixed it.

01. Take a System Restore.
02. Use Add/Remove programs to remove Intel(R) PROSet/Wireless Software.
03. Rename C:\Program Files\Intel to C:\Program Files\Intel-Old.
04. Reinstall the software. I downloaded the latest version, 11.1.1.11.
05. Reboot when asked to.

Now, everything works.

I have picked up some sort of malware. Whenever I open Int Ex 7 I get a critical error box come up on the screen telling me I have serious virus infection and need to download some software. I am then redirected to a site which tries to download virus detection software and will not take no for an answer, if you try and close it down it just opens another window. It also pops up when you open some folders on desktop. I have tried every antivirus, adware, malware etc, know to man to get rid of it. It just about makes IE7 unusable. I have DSS logs to post if needed. Thanks in advance.

Hello ravindrankv

You will need help to get rid of that.

Please help!!! I downloaded an ATI Graphics driver from the sony website then when I launched the installer, it says: "checking system information.." then after that something will pop up saying "an I/o error occurred while installing a file. This is normally caused by a bad installation media or a corrupt installation file." What's wrong with this? I used internet download manager to download the file, although while I was downloading it, there was a blackout... but when the electricity came back I quickly resumed downloading it.

Think you've answered your own question - my guess would also be a corrupt installation file. I'd download it again over the one previously and try to install again.

What is the reason for this?

Hello Blanchflower,

In my honest opinion, I think it's time to start looking into a clean reinstall of Windows 7. Considering your previous problem with viewing video, it sounds like there is something just not right about your PC at the moment.

Sometimes you invest a lot less time starting over from scratch than getting to the root of multiple problems.

Please listen to me as others would suggest to you just as well... Image your new installation of Windows. When you start having problems like this, you could just reload the image and everything will be fixed in a matter of minutes.

Just something for you to consider.

I have this message on this laptop once windows has loaded.

'Failed to save setting. An error occurred loading a configuration file: unable to open file'C:\users\.....etc...'

Apparently whilst web browsing something occured and on reboot this message appears and the profile doesn't load properly user documents and software not there etc..

Within the start menu the list of program folders are there but the folders are empty. Looking through the c drive and finding my way to the programs the stuff is there.

I created a new admin user to see what that does. The folders are still empty.

This is a windows 7 HP laptop. It also doesn't have a cd disc drive or a window disk apparently.

Many thanks in advance.

If it has no CD drive it is most likely a "netbook" & not a laptop.

Click Start > Run...........

Hi, you could try a system restore. If this fails or is not available try this. Desktop items are stored in a cache, this can become corrupted causing what you see. To fix right click on the taskbar and select Task manager. When Task Manager opens under the Applications tab click on "new Task" type:- explorer.exe press ok. Your desktop should repopulate. At this time reboot your computer. If all is well then the problem is fixed if not:-

Repeat the task manager (as above) and new explorer.exe then follow this:-

Go to Start all programs accessories and right click on command prompt select ?run as administrator?

At the prompt type:- taskkill /im explorer.exe /f press enter
(Your desktop will go blank)

Now type each line and press enter after each line.
Note the spaces.

Hello.

I'm not sure what nasty I have. In normal mode, I get three critical error messages like below with different file numbers.

---------------
Critical Error!
Windows was unable to save all the components for the file \System32\496A8300. The file is corrupted or unreadable. The error may be caused by a PC hardware problem.
-------------

I have a black screen, can run nothing, cannot access files, cannot connect to the internet.

In safe mode, I can get the files to display and can access a CD and external hard drive, but still cannot access the internet.

I used a laptop to transfer DeFogger, DDS, and GMER. I ran Defogger, obtained DDS logs, but twice GMER caused a stop screen error: RQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and dumped the memory - had to reboot.

Previously, I had run rkill, TDSS, and MBAM. Once, the TDSS log indicated it had stopped C:\WINDOWS\system32\grpcon.exe - I believe it was the third time I ran it. Otherwise I get zero files terminated. I cannot run MBAM. I get run-time error '53' mbamnet. I tried using randmbam.exe, but was still unsuccessful after 10 attempts.

I get locked up in safe mode and have to turn off the computer and restart the whole process. This morning, I missed the safe mode tap and when starting up in normal, Spybot popped up and stated it had terminated a file called win32.zbot.

Thank you for any help you can give me. I'm stumped on this one. I've been working with it for two days now and can&#... Read more

When opening a .xls file with Excel 2013, periodically receive the following error: There isn't enough memory to complete this action. Try using less data or closing other applications. To increase memory availability, consider: -Using a 64-bit version of Microsoft Excel. - Adding memory to your device. The spreadsheet is not large ( 231 kb). The computer has 4 GB of RAM, Windows 7 Pro SP1 32-bit, Office 2013.This problem does not occur all the time. It is sporadic and irritating. It's not a show stopper, as you can easily get the file opened eventually by opening the file in a different excel session. The page file size is fine (3071 MB), turned off hardware graphics acceleration in options. This error only occurs when opening the file. It's not just one certain file. The files are .xls because they are sent to people who may not have the newer versions of Office. At one point, I actually removed Office 2013 altogether and re-installed, but the problem came back.I'm out of ideas. If anyone has answers or possibilities, I would love to hear (read) them....

I have an access 2003 database that calls a VB6 module. The module starts and then I get a run-time error 75 path/file access error. I can execute the vb module outside of access but I have to run as administrator for it to work correctly. What can I fix so that the call from access will execute? I believe the issue is with comctl32.ocx and the status bar control inside the vb module.

The error is;

What I've tried;
-Full system scan with Comodo AV.
-Revealed hidden files and folders.
-Run the installer in both compatability (Even though it does work on Win7, and as an Administrator).
-Also done the scan on CMD (can't remember exact command).

If you need additional information, don't hesitate to ask.

Access database not opening completly

I have a user that is having Microsoft Access 2003 issues. There is a database created for this base only but here is what is happening.

He moved from one building to another. At the first bldg. he had all rights and access. He moved the same machine to another bldg. and tried to log on. He was able to log on but he is unable to access certain parts of the database. We have changed his permissions so that he has full permissions and we have changed the macros to that it is low. When that didn't work we reloaded Office. None of that worked. Some things will give him an "open report error" but on others it won't give him any errors at all. It just dosn't open. Any ideas?

A:Access database not opening all the way

Is that on a domain? Or just a workgroup?

If it's a domain, you have a whole mess of permissions to check. Maybe you missed just one?

As an experiment. Try to copy the whole database, COPY, to his machine directly and open it from there. If he can't even access it locally, then there has to be a problem only between Access and the DB. Usually some kind of version conflict.

I have Win 7 64 Bit and Office 2007. Whenever I open a file ie; Word, Excel etc, I get this error message:

There is a problem saving the file.
Usually this is because the disk or floppy disk is too small for the file or is full, RAM memory is low, or there is a permission problem with the drive the file is being saved to.
If the amount of disk space for a paging file is low, save the file to another drive. If the RAM memory is low, increase available RAM. If permissions to the drive do not allow you to save to that drive, save the file to another drive or request permissions from the administrator to save files to the drive.
Note: This error can also occur if the computer is running a version of antivirus software that is not compatible with the Microsoft Office system or needs to be updated.
I have 4 GB of ram and over 500 gigs of free space on my HD. I will get this message even if I go to office 2007 after I boot up the system. I have the latest patches and running SP2 for Office 2007.

Does anyone know what the problem could be or how I can fix it?

Hello everyone,

We were using ACT! 2010 Premium and now we are using ACT! 2011 Pro. I am accessing the database off of a shared drive and had no problems doing this in ACT! 2010 Premium. I have all the relative permissions, etc. and I know the file is not corrupt or anything because my peers can access the database just fine, we also installed ACT! 2011 Pro from the same shared drive so it is not a corrupt application or anything, although I have attempted re-installing several time, but no dice. The firewall is also disabled. The error it is throwing up when I do try and open a file is as follows:

'The Database ************ could not be accessed. In order to access this database, check your network connection and verify that your database server is available. It may be neccessary to disable any firewall software on your computer or the server'

Thank you to anyone who can assist.

If your file became corrupted when PowerPoint or your computer crashed, there may be a temporary version of the file in your TEMP directory. If so, you can try the aforementioned Insert, Slides From File and browse to that file. Or you can try changing the file's extension to PPT and see if you can open it from within PowerPoint using File, Open. You could also do a search for *.TMP files on the off chance that it's not in your TEMP directory.

If the presentation seems corrupted or on the verge of it, but you can still open it, download and use the CloneMe add-in from Microsoft (for PowerPoint 97 or 2000) or for PowerPoint 2000 and higher, try HTML "Round-tripping" to repair corruption

Many users have recovered damaged PPT presentations by opening them in Impress, the presentation program included with Sun's Star Office presentation package or the free Open Office.
In case you can't overcome your issue make use of https://www.repairtoolbox.com/powerpointrepair.html PowerPoint Repair Toolbox

Welcome to Seven Forums Miss Peach. In my reading this appears to be a common problem with Kaspersky. The easiest fix I see people having success with is to temporally disable UAC, and make sure Windows Defender is disabled (some also say to disable firewall while installing). See if this helps you.

User Account Control - UAC - Change Notification Settings

Windows Defender - Turn On or Off

I've got some strange behavior going on with .doc files at the moment. Whenever I try to open a .doc file from Windows Explorer or a desktop shortcut, Word opens with the error message "Word experienced an error trying to open the file. Try these suggestions. * Check the file permissions for the document or drive. *Make sure there is sufficient free memory and disk space. *Open the file with the Text Recovery converter."

After clicking OK, the .doc file then opens in Word, apparently with no problems at all (I can edit, save, etc.). So basically the error message seems to be wrong, since the file does open properly.

I can open .doc files from within Word (File -> Open) with no error message.

The issue is more of an annoyance than anything else (since the file eventually opens up just fine), but I imagine it'll just become more irritating as time goes on. Any suggestions on how to resolve it? I've been poking around in the Folder Options -> File Types in Explorer without a clear sense of purpose.

I'm running MS Word 2003 SP3 on Windows XP Service Pack 3. If you need any further info, please let me know.

Thanks for your help!

Hi,

I have a probem opening my ACT database. I used to use ACT 4.0 and when I did a back-up I simply copied a numbr of files from one machine to another. With this newer database I'm not sure I have done this back-up properly. So I'm concerned that I can't simply uninstall and re-install. I'm worried that my backup data isn't complete.

The problem is that when I try to open the database the opening routine gets as far as reporting "contacts loaded" then stops, someties showing any overdue alarms but not showing the main screen(s). The ACT logo appears in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen and on right clicking this it shows a number of databases, but none of these will open.

I have two suspicions:
1. My virus checker reported a Trojan that it could not clean. I managed to get rid of this by contacting you guys on another thread.
2. I had recently tried to set up blue tooth with my phone and had tried to get to use ACT with that phone, but it never worked. Nor did blue tooth with that phone for that matter.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Using Windows 7 Professional

john

It seems that all but two (??????) of the relationships are lost when I open my database. (Access 2003) When I exit the database the system (the back end) automatically compacts-and-repairs so now, with so few relationships, it gets rid of all the relationship pointers and can reduce the size of the database.

When I look at some older copies of the BE I can see the relationships.

If I go to the properties on the BE and look at previous versions there is a view button which opens the selected previous version "read-only". They stay at 19.xx but the ones I tried don't show all the relations. Although this says "read only" I'm nervous that I might be harming these when I open them too.

The last good back-up of the BE that is working is from 3/14.

Any ideas why this might be happening and how I can fix this problem?

Thanks!
Christy

A:Loosing relationships when opening an Access Database

Does the front end use relationships based on the back end? If it does, there really is no need for static relationships on the back end. Access will automatically set the relationship in queries, etc as long as the primary key and foreign key names are the same between tables.

I got another call from my Dad today. After cleaning his computer completely last month with help from BleepingComputer.com there is another problem so I went to check it out. I can't believe it.

Now on startup a fake system scan runs with many warning of I/O errors and critical hard drive problems. It tries to take you to file-recovery-system.com to buy something. Obviously it is a virus/hijack. I searched on the web for fixes and was able to use RKill.exe to at least stop the process and the warnings. I tried to install MBAM but the install failed twice, I get a permission denied warning. I tried to install after restarting in safe mode, but had the same access denied at the end of the install.

Computer is Windows 7. I am posting from my clean computer since the browser redirects on his computer make it almost impossible.

This is my first time on the forums, so I hope I don't screw this up. I have searched the forums and not found an answer to this problem, so I hope I'm not re-asking an old question...

I am running Windows Seven Professional 64-bit and Windows Update isn't showing any more possible updates.

My computer is a Dell Precision M90 laptop with a Intel Core2 Duo 2.0GHz processor.

Problem:
When I use Windows Explorer to open files that are associated with the program SolidWorks I receive the message: "There was a problem sending the command to the program."

I am running SolidWorks 2010 Professional SP0 which is a 3D modeling program for mechanical engineering. The program ran under XP without this issue.

I only receive this message if there is not an instance of SolidWorks running. Even after I receive this message, SolidWorks still loads and opens the file I selected through Windows Explorer.

This problem occurs no matter where the file is located (network or local).

This problem doesn't keep me from getting my work accomplished, but it is a bit of nuisance. Any help that anyone could offer would be much appreciated.

I'm including a screen capture of the message.

A:Error when opening a file in Windows Explorer

Hey. Nicely laid out explanation. Refreshing.

You could very well try installing the software again using compatibility mode for XP SP3.

To do so, right click on the installer's .exe file and choose properties. There's a compatibility tab to go to. I trust by my estimation of your intelligence that you can figure out the rest.

If it is on CD or DVD, copy entire contents to HDD first. Then do as I've outlined.

After, run the .exe and install. Might be better to uninstall original attempt prior to new install.

Good luck and let us know if this works for you. Hopefully you make some great designs. heh heh

I am fairly new to VB. I am using a vb script to open an excel file. It works on two of our computers. However 3 other co-workers get an error when they run the same script. Excel opens a new workbook and pops up an error windows that says "Excel has encountered and error and needs to close. We are all on windows XP, Excel 2007.

Below is the script. There is a larger script, but i narrowed the error down to this set of lines. When i copied these into a .vbs all by themselves I get the error on the three computers. So I know this is culprit. I know the file and path are correct (since it works on 2 out of the 5 computers) and all have the same access to the same network drive. Do I need to declare teh objExcel, or am I missing something else? Your help/advice will be great appreciated.

Set objExcel = CreateObject("Excel.Application")

objExcel.Visible = True

I have a coworker who has a Project file he made in a previous version - I think it was 2003. He has opened and used this file in the current version (2010) almost daily for the last several months. Today, for some reason, he is getting an error saying the file cannot be opened and that files saved in a version earlier than project 98 can't be opened.
He can open all his other Project files, even others he created in v2003.

Any ideas? I have asked our I.T. dept to let me install a previous version on my test laptop so I can try to open it in v2003. But, they are hesitant and told me to see if I can figure out what is happening with the file first since today is the first time he has gotten the message.
So, I'm asking you if you have any ideas.
Thanks.

I am using a 64-bit Windows 7 on an HP Pavilion laptop, and after waking the computer from hibernation today, I attempted to open Google Chrome but received a 0xc0000005 error. In addition, multiple other applications like Microsoft Word and Dropbox failed, with various .dll file errors and bad image errors (the most notable one of which was "WTSAPI32.dll is not designed to run on Windows").

I used System Restore to restore it to the point before the most recent Windows update, which allowed me to reinstall Chrome and access Microsoft Office again, but still gave me .dll file errors for DivX upon startup (and has't let me reinstall Dropbox). In addition, when booting up after the system restore, a disk consistency check was done that I believe resulted in the deletion/correction of tons of files.

In addition, Windows Update does not start and it gives me this dialog upon starting up:
"Windows Update cannot currently check for updates, because the service is not running. You may need to restart your computer".
I did just that, but to no avail. In addition, when restarting the computer, Windows was apparently configuring some updates, but performed 3 shutdown/restart cycles and finally said "reverting changes" before I could log in.

Any advice on what to do from now?

When I attempt to open an Excel file using Excel 2003, the following error message occurs:

"this file is not in a recognizable format" etc...

Why does this occur, and how can I open the file successfully?

A:Solved: Excel 2003 - error message when opening file

Check the file extension. Am sure it has an extension ".xlsx" which means that the file was created using microsoft office 2007 excel or higher. This is why your computer does not recognize the extension of the file. the 2003 version of excel can only open files with the extension ".xls". The solution to this is to get microsoft office 2007 or higher version and install it or got the following link and download Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack and install it. it will enable you to open the file without having to install the office 2007 which may not be fit for your machine specifications.

Hello,

I am experiencing a problem with Windows 7 professional, 32 bit, where I am getting an error message (detailed below) when trying to open a file with an unregistered extension. For example, if I rename a file that ends in .txt and contains text, to something with a .test extension the "Open with..." dialog never appears, and I instead get the permission denied message. AVG premium is installed, however through a combination of disabling AVG as well as providing exceptions to the file extension, I can fairly safely rule out intervention from AVG. Windows Defender is disabled, Windows UAC is disabled as well. The Windows Firewall is on, but checking the settings for the firewall suggest no issues would be coming from there.

To add to the fire, if I register the .test extension to open with notepad, the file will open fine and text is displayed as expected. Also of note, I can read the file from command prompt even when the extension is not registered to an application. Using type file.test I can see the contents of the file

Any thoughts?

A:Permissions error when opening a file with unknown extension type

Just wanted to provide an update. I've set up a work around by having our end user name the files they need to work with with an extension associated with notepad, allowing them to open the files as expected. Of course this doesn't resolve any issues that will come up later should we need to open a file that is un-registered, but reloading the system is not really a viable option at this time.

If anyone has any clue on this, please reply with suggestions or personal experience with this. Thanks!

I use Vista Ultimate (German Language). The messages are perhaps not translated exactly.

Problem: When I open the program „windows-contacts“ (in "All Programs")

the message appears: "Error during opening the windows-adressbook-file"

This is obviously the reason that Windows-Mail cannot be started.

This error started after trying to remove the folder „Contacts“ from desktop to D:.

A:A corrected hardware error has occurred, Generic Cache Hierarchy Error

Please provide this information: http://www.techsupportforum.com/f217...ns-452654.html

Although you haven't mentioned any BSOD's, the info will provide us with some details so we can try to figure this out.

In general, a machine check is related to an error that's recognized by your CPU and reported to Windows. There's not usually much information in the error reports so we have to fiddle around trying to figure it out.

Most often these are either hardware problems (something's busted) or compatibility issues (either software or hardware).

I turned on my PC today for the first time in maybe 6mo, slow to boot up but that's expected. Got maybe ten minutes into using it (just fine, might I add. Linked to wifi, etc) and Norton popped up needing to restart the computer. Hit restart now, ten minutes
go by, PC is still trying to shut down. Black screen but the fan is running. I shut it off completely, push the power button again, and get the disc error. Try to restart twice with CtrlAltDel but same error. Finally soft reset (or try to, no indication that
holding the power button does anything) and then got the "Error loading operating system" screen. Now depending on how I restart it (trying to boot from the BIOS menu or boot menu) I get the disc read error but eventually come back to the OS error.

Nothing can get me into the system, period. I'm doing this from a secondary non-PC device. Any help is appreciated. I can get by on software fixes but I'm completely useless with hardware so all of the quick fix tips I've vaguely read have mentioned removing
things from the actual console which I'm hoping I won't have to do.
Please help thanks

Hello IamThe,
If the E9 code is correct, then this is the bugcheck for your error.

STOP 0x000000E9: ACTIVE_EX_WORKER_THREAD_TERMINATION

Usual causes: Device driver

As you can see, the most probable cause is a driver.

Have you tried to boot into safe mode ?.
If you can get to safe mode with networking, go to C > Windows > Minidump and upload the files. You may need to save them to desktop before you zip them up and upload them.

Take a look and post your results, good luck.

Welcome to Seven Forums callumshell1. The 1st thing I would suggest would be to run the System Files Checker.

See if it finds and corrects any errors. Also, see if you locate the 2 dx logs mentioned, in the windows directory, and post them here, or just the text if they are short, which they may well be.

I recently switched out an older Netgear router for the Netgear WNDR3300. I have a 1TB WD MyBookWorld connected via ethernet to the router. Ever since the router switch I have been having two specifice issues:While uploading videos to Facebook, the video will upload anywhere from several MB up to over 100 MB, then stall, saying it's still uploading but trust me, it isn't.
I can copy files/folders from the networked hard drive to my computer flawlessly, but when I try to copy files/folders from my computer to the networked hard drive, it copies anywhere from a few seconds to maybe a couple minutes then stalls out, giving the error message:

One of the things it could be is a loose connection, and it keeps on dropping out. Try checking all of your Patch (Ethernet) Cables and reconnecting them all.

As you can copy the files on WEP, it seems like windows is preventing a so called 'Hacker' (You) from copying a 'Virus' (Files) onto the HD. Try to edit the security settings yourself, edit the sharing options in the HD's properties and that might fix it...

Sorry about the long wait.

So it all started when i was trying to install Itunes and right before it was done installing i got this error "An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT,version="8.0.50727.4053",type="win32,publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="x86". Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x800736b" . So i do some research and learn that i need a newer version of microsoft visual c++ 2005. I try install that and i get this 'Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly.
Microsoft.VC80.ATL.type="win32".version="8.050727.4053"."publicKeyToken"="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b".processorArchitecture="X86"

Ive also noticed some other strange things such as my windows module installer says started and i cant stop it so i think theres something wrong with that and everytime i put in sfc/scannnow it says windows resource protection could not preform the following operation. My windows updates also dont work i get code 80073712.

Please help me I have some skills on the computer but they are somewhat limited but im sure i can follow the instructions.

Hello
I have been receiving this error message for the last two weeks while trying to transfer files from a network drive into my laptop. I have a 3TB WD My Book Live connected to my home network through a netgear DGN2000 router. I also use it to stream videos
to a smart tv.
I didn't have any problem ever since I connected it the first time. However, it has started showing up this error message now. I can't copy or move files either way. I tried a number of options, such as reset my router, shut down and reconnected the network
drive but none seem to have worked now. Now, I can't stream videos. Also, I am not able to upgrade the firmware of the network drive.
Any help please.
Thanks

A:Error 0x8007003B: An unexpected network error occurred.

Hi,
Do you have some anti-virus software installed and set to scan network drive, temporarily disable it, check if that is the cause.
I also suggest you update the firmware of your router.
Please alos share more information in event viewer with us as mentioned by ZigZag31343x

Meanwhile you can contact the support of My Book Live

Has anybody received this error message? I've found other threads where people post the same problem, but I haven't seen any solutions. Essentially, every time I troubleshoot ANYTHING (wifi-connectivity, printer troubleshooting, etc.), I get this error message.

I got this error message when troubleshooting my printer. It states: An unexpected error has occurred. The troubleshooting wizard can't continue.

Package ID: Unknown
Path: Unknown
Error code: 0x80070005
Source: Temporary files
User: JJ-HP\JJ
Context: Restricted.

Any ideas?
