Profile problem with Mozilla Firefox

Q: Profile problem with Mozilla Firefox

Hi All,

I'm having an issue with Firefox.  I while back while talking to IT support for another application I may have inadvertently done something to my user account.  Trying to assign administrator privileges I think.  Ever since then my Firefox has not been working and my desktop icons are all screwy.  I've been working around it.

I decided to uninstall Firefox and reinstall it.  Still have the problem.  When I try to open Firefox I get an error saying: 'Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded.  It may be missing or inaccessible'

I'm using Windows 7 64 bit.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,
L

Hello All,
Here's my problem. I've erased my profile from Mozilla Firefox. I HAVE NOT however erased the profile files.

I have since created a profile with a different name. I would like to import the old profile info (bookmarks inparticular) to my new "default" profile.

As well, what if I wanted to import info from another Mozilla Firefox profile?

Can this be done?

I've tried everything but I can't seem to figure it out.

If you do post please be advised that I am not all that familiar with Firefox.

Thank you all for your time.

A:Solved: Mozilla Firefox...Erased Profile but not files...trying to import to new profile

I move mine manually all the time. If you just want to add the bookmarks.html, just move the one you saved to the new profile. Here is the official instructions from Firefox on backup and restore of the Profile.

I upgraded to Firefox 9 in which i was able to activate Google Toolbar using "Addons compatibility reporter".
I created a new profile for Firefox 9 and when i open it Google Toolbar is not there together with bookmarks. "Addons compatibility reporter" did not activate Google Toolbar in the new profile browser.
Do you have any suggestions?

A month or so ago when I tried to load Mozilla Firefox I got the message 'your firefox profile cannot be loaded, it maybe missing or inaccessible.

I have looked online for a solution, it seems to be a common problem, but I need a solution in easy language. My computer knowledge is OK but most of the solutions baffled me a little.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that doesn't work.

I'm running Windows Vista.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

I woke up this morning and started up my computer. When I opened up mozilla and began to surf a bit, a random command prompt window pops up, runs some dialog and then closes just as quickly as it began. The window keeps closing faster than I can read what it is doing but I was able to see that it said something along the lines of "mozilla/roaming profile" i think.....What is going on? I have good virus protection...at least I thought I did. This issue hasn't caused any problems, YET. Please HELP ME, before it DOES!

**Also, after reading the forum prep...I tried running the DDS software like it says...but kept getting a notification popup that says, "DDS is not meant to run in 'Compatibility Mode' this program will now exit." As far as I know, I never set my preferences to run EVERY program in 'Compatibility Mode'. Just a few specific ones. I checked the 'Advanced Settings' in 'Compatibility Mode Troubleshooting', but the 'DDS' program doesn't come up in the list of affected programs...I am a bit stumped at this point.**

Hi Guys

I am new to this forum and have limited knowledge of computers.
I was using Firefox version 2 and was very happy until I was requested to download version 3. Now I seem to have endless crashes and keep getting told Firefox has a problem & needs to close. Up to 5 x a day.

This is very frustrating.
This happens with avg, facebook ,all internet functions.

I have spybot running and avg and says there are no problems.

We had a power failure earlier yesterday and when I switched back on Microsoft suggested I check the C drive as there was a problem -but that seems to have sorted itself out.-probably due to not closing down properly.

So can you help me with detailed instructions on how to fix forefox or totally remove it and install from the beginning or is there major problems with that version 3 .1 ?

Thanks
Carol

I was trying some random IRC chatroom when my Firefox stopped working. It will not respond when I click on the icon, and once the Windows Installer popped out after I clicked on the icon. There's a file called tmp19.tmp.exe that is in the computer processes, and I can't delete it. What's going on?

A:Mozilla Firefox Problem

Actually nevermind. The Windows Installer part has nothing to do with the Firefox problem. It just popped out again. -.-

Oh yeah, and my SpySweeper detected two things trying to start whenever my Windows starts. I deleted both of them. Can someone tell me the situation?

A:Problem with Mozilla firefox

That was a known issue with a previous version of FF. Some experienced the problem, myself included. Even though the FF window was closed the process continued to run. The process could be ended using Task manager.Depending on how many times you have updated as opposed to doing a fresh install, the problem may be hanging on from a previous version.Uninstalling any and all FF versions found in add\remove and reinstalling the latest, 3.6.10, should clear it up. Do`t forget to back-up your bookmarks. Here is a handy little tool that will save all bookmarks, add-ons, plug-ins and custom settings so it is easy to return your new FF install to the way you have it now.http://mozbackup.jasnapaka.com/

Hello Newbie here !! I am not too experienced but am learning as I go. I had broadband installed (with dramas), then had Antimalware Doctor virus (fixed), lost firefox and re-installed it and now (my preferred browser) Mozilla seems to be "frozen". Small boxed message on screen saying " Firefox is alreday running and not responding. To open a new window you must first close the existing Firefox Process, or restart your system "
I have read other members problems, gone into systems and seen if it was blocked ! and searched all sorts of areas in control panel. I did run a troubleshooting search from Microsoft and it said "incompatible" I have of course turned laptap on/off overnight and still cant use mozilla, am currently using windows explorer but would prefer not to. Any ideas would be appreciated from all the knowledgeable peoples !!

Hi, welcome to TSF

Press Ctrl-Shift-Esc on your keyboard to open the Task Manager. Click the Processes tab at the top, then the 'Show processes from all users' button at the bottom left. Click the Image Name column header to re-order the list. If firefox.exe is in the list, highlight it and click the End Process button, then try running Firefox again.

If this doesn't work, you might have a corrupt profile. To create a new profile, click the Start button at the bottom left of the screen, type firefox.exe -profilemanager into the Search box and click OK. Click 'Don't ask at startup and the Create Profile button. Give the new profile a name, then click the Start Firefox button to continue.

I checked and i did not have any firefox or any other program open so I clicked "New . . ." and made one called default 2 but now all of my bookmarks are gone. Also all of the websites i go onto don't auto sign on as me. So i do i change the setting back to default (the original) so that i can get all of my bookmarks back!!!. By the way i don't know if this will help but i have Windows XP, I can still use firefox but different bookmarks and settings.

Recently my Mozilla firefox completely froze up on me while using it and it took a while for me to get it to close. In doing so I had to shut my computer on and off a few times as my computer itself was starting to act extremely weird. Since coming back on and being completely okay, my firefox has not been able to start up. I click on it and I get an hour glass for a few seconds and then nothing happens. I thought maybe something had happened to it so I tried to do a system restore which didn't work. So I uninstalled firefox and tried to reinstall it again. After going to the website and downloading it and hitting run, after its finished running it asks me to run again and then it should just start downloading or something, but it doesn't show up. I hit run a few times and nothing. So something on my computer has changed. If you could help out with this problem it would be great.

Additionally while trying to close firefox the first time, I was using task manager and unfortunately didn't know about the double click sides that change the view. In trying to return it to its normal look I was somehow able to log out of my one and only user account (which I dont' know how I was able to do that). And I don't know how to get that back on. Even after turning off my computer and logging back in on my user account, it still doesn't show up in task manager.
Here is my hijackthis log incase you need it. Thanks again for your help!

1: sometimes when i want to use ff, the browser opens, but tells me that a connection to ANY website (including my homepage of google) is refused. i might have solved this problem by shutting down my firewall (which was only active on another logon and not mine (zonealarm)) but i am not sure.

A:care2.com in mozilla firefox problem

This could be a setting by a security program or something like a hosts file manager blocking this with an entry in your hosts file. This is normally C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts <---- this file has no extension. You may need to enable hidden files and folders in Explorer to see it.

To change it, first uncheck the read-only properties on the file, open it in Notepad and place a ";" at the beginning of all lines containing care2.com entries. Close Notepad, it should auto-save, if you get a Save as box, ensure the read only properties of the file are unchecked.

Once saved successfully, reset the read only properties for the hosts file.

Hello Karen,

To close the program you will need to end the process. To do this open the task manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL) then click the processes tab then locate firefox.exe and then right click this entry then end the process.

The only way I can get them to work is when I use the all-in-one sidebar extension and access the bookmarks through its sidebars. Aside from deleteing the profile and unistalling and then reinstalling it, what else should I try?

Personally, I'd first upgrade to version 1.5. If you don't want to do that for whatever reason, try disabling/uninstalling extensions one at a time and see if they suddenly start working.

It says that when it has trouble opening "firefox.default" folder.
This is either because there is a problem with that folder, or it is already open elsewhere.

Ok, just today i closed my browser, then remembered i needed to do somthing else on it, so when i tried to restart it, it said that the default profile was unusable because it was all ready being used, which it wasn't, the only way i could get into the browser was to make a new profile, but when i did i lost about 100 bookmarks (duh, different profile i know) and then i went and searched every inch of the browers options and what not trying to find the profile settings, there is none... thats gotta b dumb as hell... so i went to the firefox help page and they said to find the profiles folder and that i would hav to edit it from there, the directory they said it was at did not exist on my comp, so i went to search and tried searching for the folder, nothing... i can not figure out how to go back to the default profile whatsoever, its like it just vanished and now this new profile that im using is my default... i hav never had a single problem with firefox until now... if anyone knows how to get back that profile it would help me greatly, thx.

In IE, click on Tools> Internet Options> Programs tab, and on the drop down beside E-mail: select Thunderbird. Then if you want Firefox as default browser, uncheck the box: Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser. In Thunderbird, you can just go to Tools> Options> General and then select Use Thunderbird as the default mail application. In Firefox, Tools> Options> General tab, check the box: Firefox should check to see if it is the default browser when starting. Click the Check Now button.
If you want to use IE as default browser, you might need to check this fix. IEFix Utility

I have Windows XP and I have Roadrunner as my ISP. I'm using the latest edition of Mozilla Firefox and I am having problems with my proxy settings changing whenever I close the window. I had program called ZillaPopupKiller that I uninstalled from my computer, in the Connection settings under http proxy it keeps changing back to Zillapopupkiller. I uninstalled to program through add/remove programs. I have ran a virus scan, Adaware, and Spybot S&D, tried clearing my cache, temporary internet files, ect, and I can't seem to figure out how to get it to save my settings. I keep trying to change the settings back to what they should be, but every time I exit and reopen the window it changes back to the Zilla thing. I have Firefox set as my default browser, and I have tried changing the settings in both IE and Netscape with the same results. I keep getting a message that says "unable to find the proxy server". Does anyone have any suggestions for this?

A:Firefox User Profile Problem

Have you tried a complete uninstall/reinstall of Firefox.Note: You will have to go back and redo all of your personal settings (Options), as deleting the Profile folder will erase everything Firefox related. You will be starting with a clean slate. To completely uninstall Firefox, you will need to delete your Profile folder. This file is not removed when you uninstall Firefox from Add/Remove. It will retain all of your previous settings, and re-apply them to your new install, if it's not deleted. That's why, when you install a new version of Firefox, your previous settings, bookmarks, passwords, etc., all remain the same. For a Fresh (start from scratch) install, this folder has to be removed. You might want to make a copy of the Bookmark.html file, before you uninstall, and save it to somewhere you'll be able to find it.This is where all of your Bookmarks are stored.Set windows to show hidden files,How to see hidden files in Windows Then navigate to:C:\ Documents and Settings \ "your user name" \ Application Data \ Mozilla \ Firefox \ Profiles \ default.random characters \ Bookmark.htmlAnd make a copy of the Bookmark.html fileThen you can replace, the new one created, with the old one, you copied. After you install Firefox, delete Bookmark.html, and replace it with your saved copy of Bookmark.html.Restart Firefox. That way, you'll have all of your Bookmarks back. Now for the uninstall.Uninstall your current version of ... Please check image here View image: alexa rank problem

Mine alexa toolbar was working fine and suddenly, it stopped working 1-2 months before. You can see red circle at above image. Alexa rank is now displaying rank number instead left-right arrows.

1. Today I uninstall Mozilla and reinstalled but Alexa rank toolbar was not uninstalled and came back automatically.
2. Then I uninstalled Mozilla again and also run CCCleaner to remove any junk files, restarted PC and then reinstalled Mozilla again (changed default installation file folder name to make sure 100% new installation). This time Mozilla was newly installed and did not show Alexa toolbar. But when I installed Alexa toolbar (from Alexa website), then again instead of displaying alexa rank of website same "thing" is showing which you can see in above image.

How to fix this? I have uninstalled Mozilla 2 times and in last attempt there was 100% fresh Mozilla installation and Alexa toolbar is also new.

It looks there are some files somewhere those also need to delete related to Alexa toolbar to make fresh installation?

I use Mozilla browser in routine and I have to open website in Google Chrome to check alexa rank.

Please help me how to fix this?

Hi,
Just recently I have encountered a problem trying to open up Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. Every time I open up Firefox, i get a message saying that it has encountered a and needs to shut down. But it is strange because if i dont click the "close" button, firefox opens normally and i am able to use it.

Internet Explorer causes more trouble on the other hand. For some reason Internet explorer opens up on its own, but no homepage window comes up. Instead, I get a window saying that IExplorer has encountered a problem and it needs to close also.

I checked my task manager processes and IExplorer keeps coming up even if i dont use it. I become very impatient and annoyed when trying to write reports and papers because about every 5 seconds the Internet explorer problem window pops up. I have tried to uninstall Internet explorer but there isnt an uninstall even under the control panel/ remove programs.

On top of this, my Maleware Bytes app. wont open up. I have downloaded other free antmaleware and antvirus programs, but they do not find any problems. . I am using the free versions of advanced systemcare 3 and Lavasoft's Ad-Adware. I downloaded HiJack this and have saved a log that I will post. I hope that helps. Im running on a Dell Latitude D180 with Windows Xp. Thanks

This has been a recurring problem with the 32-bit versions of Firefox that I've used in the past. I've now switched to the current 64-bit version (43.0) only to find that this problem is occurring.
I had been keeping the 32-bit version bug at bay using the user environment variable "MOZ_DISABLE_OOP_PLUGINS" but that no longer works for the 64-bit version. I've gone so far as to add "64" to the variable in several different ways but none of those worked.

Any suggestions on a fix or workaround for this?

Suggest: Clean install flash player.

Flash Player removal tool: https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player...r-windows.html

Make sure you follow all steps including step 3d

Delete:
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash
%appdata%\Adobe\Flash Player
%appdata%\Macromedia\Flash Player

Confirm deletion by attempting to navigate to the above folders once they have been deleted.

Important: Step 4.1
Restart your computer before fresh installing flash player.

Other stuff you can try:

Backup your profile (bookmarks and extensions)

MozBackup - Backup tool for Firefox and Thunderbird

Uninstall Firefox and delete leftovers:

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb...-your-computer

Include these steps:

   Note
To remove other files and folders that may not be removed by the uninstall, you must manually delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations by default:
32-bit Windows: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
64-bit Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

   Note
Pess the Windows key +R to open a Run dialog, type in %APPDATA%\Mozilla\ and click OK to open the Mozilla folder, then delete the Firefox folder.
Reboot. Clean install Firefox then restore your bookmarks and extensions from the Mozbackup file that you saved.

Other:

Test Cyberfox 64bit Portable to see if you get the same problem. You would need the AMD x64 version (portable)

Just put on the Windows 7 RTM. 15 minute install : most impressive. Then a 2 hour wrangle trying to get Firefox 3.51 going : most infuriating.

Previously I have shared Firefox profiles in dual-boot without a problem. One just has to point Firefox on the second OS at the location of the original profile with FF profile manager. However..

I am getting the following error message with Widnows 7 every time and with every profile.

"Firefox cannot use the profile because it is in use.
To continue, close the running instance of Firefox or choose a different profile."

I have tried every suggestion on the Firefox help page (but the last) without success.
Profile in use - MozillaZine Knowledge Base

To be honest I suspect it is something to do with folder permissions in Windows 7. Immediately after installing Windows 7 I had to change the drive letter assignments using Disk Management, because Windows 7 did not take the lead from my XP drive assignments as I had hoped.

However, having changed the drive letters back to my liking (apart from C: for Windows 7) I found all drives, folders and files to be read only!? I selected all and changed their properties to read and write (including the option to change all subfolders), but it does not seem to have worked properly. Every further subfolder is still read only! My patience with this is wearing thin. What can be done?

A:Firefox - Problem sharing a profile in dual-boot

I use same profiles folder for Windows 7 and Vista. No problem at all. My profile folder is in a drive which has the same letter in both boots. For instance. It is always f:\Profiles, no matter if I boot 7 or Vista. Never had a problem. Just make sure FF is the same version in both boots as 3.5 has some incompatibilities with previous versions (specially passwords)

Hi Everyone,

I'm sure you've seen plenty of threads asking to help resolve this "Mozilla Firefox / Google Redirect" issue, so I'm sorry that I'm posting yet another thread about it. Whenever I search for something using Google in Firefox, I will sometimes get redirected to another website when I click on the search results. For example, if I search for "GPLGS" in Google, the first search result (which is a link to a discussion on this forum) will be directed to another site. However, there are times when the search results will not be redirected.

I have not experienced this problem when using Google Chrome on this machine. In addition, I haven't experienced this problem at all on other machines that are linked to the same internet connection. This leads me to believe that the situation is isolated to my laptop, but I don't know much about computers.

I've read all of the instructions listed here, but I've been having trouble running the GMER Rootkit Scanner. The program usually runs fine, but whenever I try to start scanning after I uncheck the IAT/EAT box in the right panel, the process never finishes. I often get a blue screen with a message before my laptop reboots. I did notice a surge in CPU usage when this occurred.

Hi,

Long story short, I got a virus last week and received terrific help from CatByte. The link to that thread is below. Everything went well and my computer was running better than it had in years. CatByte suggested I do some further cleanup and maintenance to help keep me from getting another virus. I ran TFC cleaner and after that I couldn't open Firefox. I get the message that Firefox is still running and to close it before trying to open it again. There are no Firefox processes running. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox to no avail. When I did some investigating as to what the problem could be, I read that the profile lock could be the cause and when I went to find the profiles I discovered that the Mozilla profile folder is empty. I think the profiles are somewhere but they aren't in that folder. Any help in getting my Firefox up and running again would be most appreciated. Here's the link to the previous thread:

http://www.techsupportforum.com/f100...us-488911.html

Thank you!

A:Mozilla Profile Folder is Empty

Don't use Registry Cleaners! See if yours is reversible or try a system restore if you have a restore point between fixing the problem and using the cleaner. If not, you can build a new profile without "hunting" for the old which is probably easier.

I have 4 browsers on my computer: Internet Explorer 8, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Opera. I am trying to listen to some MP3 files on a website, and all of the browsers, except for IE 8, told me to download the Realplayer Plugin. So I did, and when I tried to listen to the MP3 file, Realplayer will automatically enable this "Autoupdate Helper" thing and check for updates. So I let it check for updates, but then it'll say "There are no updates..." and just stop there. The file won't play! I click play again, and the same thing happens.

Internet Explorer is the only browser smart enough to open the MP3 files on the web page using Quicktime (the website actually tells you to use Quicktime to open the files) but it doesn't load the Youtube videos that are embedded on the site. There's a X on the top left corner of the section where the video is suppose to be.

Now I'm stuck! I want to view all the contents on one page with one browser! But none of the browsers will actually work properly!

So the main problem is:

1. The MP3 files won't load in Chrome, Firefox, and Opera using Quicktime.

Chrome is the only browser I use frequently, and the others are basically backup. IS THERE ANY SOLUTION TO THIS!?!?!?

Thanks everyone!

I know other users have had issues with this but I didn't know if I could follow the solutions for their problem or not.

(Not sure what information is helpful so I'll start and the top and be brief)
For my job I am required to sometimes go to 'suspect websites' and normally Norton will catch anything before it even has a chance to download. Sadly, two weeks ago I did download a file called Trojan.Gen (or at least that is what Norton called it). Almost immediately Norton caught and removed all threats but I knew I wasn't going to get off that easy.

For a few days everything seemed fine but shortly after I started seeing attack messages from Norton from \device\harddiskvolume1\program files\mozilla firefox\firefox.exe, the IP and web address changes.

I couldn't tell if it was doing anything to my computer and have since been trying to remove it with no luck with Norton. Now, my web pages are being redirected to either a fake search page or a Pay Per Click page, if I click a link in Google.

Norton and Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Free are telling me that they are not detecting anything.

I did read the preparation guide, so I hope I have all the information that is needed.

I want to thank you in advance for any help that I can get and I understand that this is a process. I appreciate your time!
-Eve

Firefox has been freezing up on me, and when I close it down, I get a bluescreen error. It also happens a lot of the time when I close Firefox down normally. This was happening before I updated to the latest version of FF. I am running Windows XP, and have recently started using ZoneAlarm and Avast on my system.

A:Firefox closes = bluescreen error? (Moved for the mozilla/Firefox Forum)

Hi,

Can you give us the error in full that you are getting. Also, I would check and make sure that ZoneAlarm and Avast are allowing FF to connect to the internet.

Cheers!

When I open Mozilla via local icons, it will read and load a specific profile. This allows me to use 3.6.13 (..\firefox.exe" -p "FF_3_6_13" -no-remote) and 4.0b9pre (..\firefox.exe" -p "Minefield64" -no-remote) without one interfering with the other. (4.0b9pre is set as default).

When the browser opens via an e-mail or web page hyperlink the profile file is ignored. I can live with it but sometimes I need an add-on I use and it is not running.

Is there a setting I can use to have Mozilla read the profile when opening it from a hyperlink?

A:Mozilla ignores profile when opened via email/web hyperlink

Check your profiles.ini in Notepad it should look somewhat like this:

[General]
StartWithLastProfile=1

[Profile0] <--- FF 3.6 profile
Name=New1112
IsRelative=1
Path=Profiles/j39iqzek.New1112
Default=1

[Profile1] <--- FF4 Profile
Name=FF4
IsRelative=1
Path=Profiles/dgu37doz.FF4
Default=1

Make sure the Default= is present in EACH Block and of course have it point to the profile Block you want to use for those email links

I don't know if my problem is Firefox or WordPress but I thought I'd try here first.
I use WordPress to publish articles and usually copy and paste from the finished article in the Articles forum to WordPress but since I reinstalled Win 7 this no longer works as paste is no longer an option when I right click in WordPress, or at least in the particular part that I need it to. I can, however, do it in Internet Explorer, but images aren't copied over, which they used to be. I've tried all the usual things like clearing the cache, but nothing has worked. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

A:Is this Win 7 or Firefox at fault? Moved from Mozilla/Firefox browsers

Hi,
I am using Win-7 too but I haven't used IE. So my suggestion is to, try another browser for the same purpose and then see the effects (I feel firefox is well suited for the purpose). If you are getting same problems then, you are missing with some features of Win-7 otherwise, it is the website issue.

I installed the IE extension tab , and then installed the windows update kb896424, now I dont know what caused this but I can no longer launch firefox, when I click on the executable it doesnt do anything, I have reinstalled, ran spyware scans, uninstalled pestpatrol, ewido, unistalled the microsoft patch, has anyone had this issue??

A:Mozilla firefox 1.0.7...

Open your task manager. Click on the Processes tab. Look for Firefox.exe. and end that process using the task manager.

Firefox should open normally for you after that.

Sometimes it doesn't close completely for whatever reason, and when this happens and you click on the executable, it won't open a new browser.

I used to use Netscape browser it was great, then like most of us I moved over to Mozilla Firefox and it used to be great too.
Now However I get an update almost every week which annoys the hell out of me.
This thing seems to be getting more and more boated all the time.
The latest problem is half the time it won't shut down I end up having to open taskmaster and shutting it down that way so I can then reopen it up.
Seems to want to run unseen in the background. What?s the cure for this? Even rebooting the computer doesn't always shut it down
Another problem is I seem to have lost the refresh button. A real nuisance when you are bidding on an auction with just a minute to go.
I have tried to get it back from options, toolbars to no avail.
I tried a while ago to download Opera and use this instead but it wouldn't load??

A:Mozilla Firefox

Even though it did not work for you, I would still suggest:
Open Tools menu, choose Options... item,
Choose Advanced (over to the righthand side at the top),
open the tab labeled "Update".

You have three options and can choose exactly one of them: You would choose Either:
Check for Updates, but let me choose whether...
Or
Never Check for Updates.

The only question is, are these options and that path presented for you or not? Then, if they are, then do they fail for you when you had selected them?

How can I alphabetize my Mozilla bookmarks? I used Explorer before and it was simple enough to do but can't seem to figure it out on my new computer and software. Thanks in advance.

A:Mozilla Firefox

Click Bookmarks>Organize Bookmarks...
The Library window will open up. On the left side, there is the bookmark folder tree. Choose the folder you want to organize, right-click on it and choose Sort by Name. Or, if you're like me and don't have any folders but have all the bookmarks in the main bookmark menu itself, right click on Bookmark Menu and choose Sort by Name.

A:Mozilla Firefox

I would remove my email address if I were you.
You might need Quicktime player or another player than WMP. Does the site say which player is needed? In the address bar of Firefox, type: aboutlugins and hit enter. See if you have Quicktime plugin. I would suggest Quicktime Alternative instead of Quicktime because it is not loaded with bloat. If you load QA, read the instructions for installation and setup.
